I have the feeling that Mike would lose all respect for Eddie if he sees him together with Steve. He sees Eddie pathetically flirting with an oblivious Steve and pulls a face, then goes to complain to Will about why Eddie has to have a crush on Steve. Will gets nervous bc fuck Mike is homophobic? but Mike just tells him about That Night (the one before 'human anatomy?') and that Eddie can't be cool anymore when he likes Steve who lost any chances of being genuinely respected by Mike. And now that Eddie has a crush/is dating Steve, all illusions of Eddie's charm are lost forever (this might also lead to Will coming out to Mike when he realizes that he wouldn't hate him and perhaps Mike coming out and love confessions and-)
So, whenever Steddie do something in front of the Party Mike has his look of irritation on his face and Eddie thinks he misjudged Mike when he notices bc Mike might be a little homophobic? Which doesn't fit into the whole dynamic he has going with Will but who knows. So Eddie asks him (in front of everyone bc he's not above outing a homophobe to their very accepting friend group) and Mike pulls that face again and just seconds before he opens his mouth Eddie recognizes it as regret and realizes Mike Wheeler is a little piece of shit. "I just can't believe I thought you were cool once" and Will (who now that he heard the story would give a lot to have seen that firsthand) starts to laugh while Eddie fully realizes that he lost any cool points he ever had with Mike
In the beginning, Eddie is so confused bc this child used to admire him, listen to everything he had to say, worship the ground he walks on and now he's dragging him every chance he gets. When Eddie asks why Mike suddenly lost all interest in him Will whispers 'it's the Harrington effect', Mike just nods and that's the only answer he gets
Mike becomes just as snarky and annoying with Eddie as he is with everyone else. And every time Mike gives him that look that says 'you're as dumb as a rock Eddie how do you not know this' Eddie is incredibly close to strangling him but also kind of happy that Mike finally is himself around him and not the blind puppy he was before
Eddie is also reluctantly impressed (reluctant bc now he can't give Mike the satisfaction of being impressed, not when he's such a brat) with Mike's problem-solving bc we know it's Mike who usually figures everything out. At least now he knows why Mike was such a good strategist during their campaign
Steve gives him a pat on the back in a moment of despair and says that it's probably his fault. Hopper chimes in that Mike is allergic to any kind of father/authority figure and that, now that he has parent status in the Party, it's just a natural development. Eddie has a whole new crisis that he's now some kind of father figure to the kids

Daily fish fact #685
Lampreys!
While some lampreys turn to a parasitic lifestyle as adults, drilling into the sides of bigger animals to feed on their flesh and blood, lamprey larvae, ammocoetes, are actually filter feeders! The lamprey larva life stage can last up to a decade, and they spend their time being half-buried in sandy substrate, consuming whatever tiny organic particles float to them. Ammocoetes' feeding rate is the slowest of any suspension-feeding animal, and due to this they require a habitat very rich in nutrients.

Dabi’s the type of bf who gets so happy over your presence, even if he doesn’t outwardly show it. Like you send him a text saying you’re coming home from work because your boss let you clock out early and he’ll respond back with, “k see ya” but internally he’s twirling his hair kicking his feet and giggling like a teenaged girl with a crush
HELLO????? YES TO EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS????? LIKE— HE WOULD FANBOY HARD OVER EVERYTHING HIS GIRL DOES AND YOU REALLY CAN'T CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE, NO ONE CAN ACTUALLY.
dabi is your #1 fan and supporter 🤧💜
AND every tongue that raises against you shall fall, by his hands no less.
he gets super defensive when someone speaks ill of you, would literally verbally demolish anyone that dares to say your name in vain, then if he deemed that it's needed he's gonna lit them up too!!!

Day 6 - Glowing buzz
I never cared even a little bit about buzzes and now I see how wrong I was. Their design is so cool! A slightly reptilian/dinosaur-like bug, what a king.
The glowing buzz made me think of fireflies in the night - so here it is, a big firefly welcoming the little ones...

A little unpopular opinion on something I've seen happen more commonly throughout November/December and wanted to address quickly for my own blog: Please never hesitate to reblog anything from me. You see me reblogging a sentence starter list that you like? Go for it and reblog it from me directly without any pressure on you whatsoever to send anything into me before doing so. You like a GIF-set or musing that I reblogged? Nab it from me, it'll brighten my day to see that we share an interest in something. I like to see interaction between me and anyone who follows me. I like to see that little activity notification light up.
Honestly, it simply reminds me that we're all part of a community, and more specifically, a fandom that consists of characters and nations that we all came to love and then share that amongst ourselves. And honestly, seeing a reblog happen shortly after me but it's from the source, creates (in my opinion) an odd sense of chosen disconnect between people that can feel awkward, it's as if we're walking on eggshells as to not rub each other the wrong way. But what's wrong about going 'Hey, I see what you reblogged, I like it too!', it even gives you potential common ground to start a conversation. We're a community, and I don't know about you, but I like seeing people interact with each other beyond merely threads and notes. It's the little things that matter, after all.

The thing with Gojo I just personally like and which kinda actually made me interested in jjk in the first place, is his whole situation with Toji in their second half of the fight? Like the way Gojo turned borderline feral and happy and high and the showed the most emotion we saw from him?
Enlightenment is often portrayed too softly for my liking. They reach some deep understanding, become cooler and more detached, or, on the opposite, kinder and more humble. An incredibly romanticised concept which usually makes the character either an emo looking quiet person, or an individual who understood everything and has no anger or issues or anything
Which makes Gojo in that scene all the better because we actually hear him say that he DOES feel detached and bears no grudge towards anyone, but instead of it being a situation of him going “violence is meaningless Amanai is dead anyway, his death wont change anything” he straight up goes feral and kills the guy just for funsies (and probably because he doesn’t want anyone else to die to his hands but idk its not like he gave any context)
Like
Yeah
You go my guy go nuts. I love this scene its awesome, its a good take on a pretty standart situation of a shonen mc picking himself up from a fight and figuring our how to win. Instead of being regal or compassionate or whatever he reached his better form which is Actually Unironically Worse And More Cruel and i love that for him
Which is especially fun because afterwards, even after opening his eyes and reaching whatever wisdom he got, he still asked Suguru if he should kill those people. Even after gaining insight and updating his eyes he still believed there is no one better to ask a moral question than Suguru
Losing my mind
