For all my fellow college students struggling through the last few weeks of school and dealing with major mental health issues or general bad times, just remember a shitty attempt at the final project is better than NO attempt on the final project. This will not affect you 5 years down the line. It won't matter even 6 months from now. Just try your hardest and get it done before the deadline
Aim for completion (or as close as you can get) not perfection. Half credit is better than no credit.

If you forgive them totally fine
If you want to keep watching their content totally fine
If you respect the fact they apologize and decide to continue watching them in moderation OR limit your interaction with them t's ALL fine
BUT the exact same goes for the opposite lmao??
If you dont forgive them that's fine
If you decide you can't watch their content anymore it's fine
If you unsub and wean off their content gradually its fine
Like some of yall need to realize not everyone is gonna go running back and those of you who don't better not bitch and shame those that do.

The way yall were being so parasocial about watcher was CRAZY
So many of you were like "oh if there wasn't this much backlash and potential lost profit then ofc they would have continued!!!" And I'm like girl ya. That's how it works. If there is a backlash from the intended audience and risk of lost profit cuz of something they will stop doing the something in question. It's called running a business my friend be serious now they're not your buddies.
And Im seeing so many people being like "they should have said something earlier over the weekend! They should have told us that they were going to post an update!" Girl shut up. 3 days is a very short amount of time for the change that went through the company. You arent owed an earlier respone. When you fuck up that majorly and now have 20 employees whose jobs and livelihoods are at risk, making sure you get the apology right and fixing that decision gracefully is key to not turn away any future sponsorships while protecting your company. Im sure if they had said that yall would have more absolute garbage takes and horrible shit to say about them while they were making the decision and filming their response, I dont blame them for wanting to avoid that.
TLDR; the response was fine, having residual feelings of mistrust is fine to an extent, the guys aren't your friends. If youre saying "but they were my scrungly boys!" Unironically you need to go touch grass.

EX FUCKING SCUSE ME? I can understand being upset but people are throwing this big of a tantrum over it???
Ok this is genuinely not ok anymore, I understand people are upset but it is NEVER OKAY to bully and harass someone just bc u disagree with a decision they've made.
People have been flooding the comments of Ryan Bergara's wedding photos on Instagram with hate, booing both of them and telling him she's gonna leave him when he goes broke from his stupid business decision. ITS FINE TO NOT LIKE WATCHERTV. ITS FINE TO NOT SUBSCRIBE. but it's not ok to completely dehumanize, other, and harass them. I've seen people telling Shane and Ryan to kill themselves. That is Not Fucking Okay. They are STILL HUMAN BEINGS. NOT UNTOUCHABLE 1 PERCENTERS.
I know cyberbullying and harassment is normal these days but it's not fucking okay. Hate on them all you want, genuinely criticize their decision all you want, but don't go to all their socials and send them that hate. They're human beings with feelings, and you guys need to go touch some fucking grass.

Anyone who's saying "they remain silent during all this" with the watcher stuff have never been in a situation where everything is crumbling around you and there's intense pressure from some public audience. You are in flight or fight, you are panicking, and trying to figure out what to do. (Whether you're in the right or wrong). They're definitely planning next steps, and I don't think it's wrong to take time to do that vs addressing the situation fueled with emotions.
If you were them in this situation (remember , these are real people, not characters) you'd also be a mess. Not defending the choices they're making or anything, but after I went through something where there was pressure from the public and a group of people and I felt like my life was falling apart, I get it. It's hard. People fuck up, it happens, but I see some of y'all equating this to the try guys situation or Colleen ballinger and it's so not on that level

Hmm. Interesting.
Very intrigued by the amount of people (myself included) who are saying they didn’t like ghost/mystery files as much as buzzfeed unsolved.
Because this means we were sticking around for loyalty. Because we wanted to see Watcher succeed. Not because of “tv level content” or expensive shows or whatever else.

Couldn't agree more! They decided this together and frankly they will fail together.
At the end of the day this doesn't affect me too much because I didn't have time to watch their content much anyway. But this was such a bad move. Losing a large chunk of your viewers to a pay wall? Is that how they want to go down?
This isn't a major thing. But some of this response is deserved (signaling out specific team members isnt tho, you can disagree with me all you want).
Their announcement was tone deaf. Intentionally or not, a lot of it comes off as snarky.
I solute the team, however your goodbye has left a bad taste in mine and others mouths. Hopefully this decision doesn't astronomically ruin your careers, but I wouldn't be surprised if it does.
what we’re not gonna do is point fingers at shane, ryan, or steven. they make decisions together for the betterment of the company they built with each other.

As a Roman kinnie I know its not Roman, because my love for him alone is enough to make his ratings skyrocket.
All the dark sides get unfathomable amounts of love
Logan is getting far more recognition as of late. At the start of the series? Yes. He was underrated as hell. But now that's changed quite a bit
It's Patton.
As someone who really dislikes his character for a variety of reasons, and has said time and time again I hope the others (Virgil, Roman) call him out on the shit he's done, we as a fandom do NOT give him enough credit. He really is overhated, making him underrated.
I rewatched the series recently and my views on him have changed a lot. I think Pat genuinely needs a sort of intervention beyond the one in SVSR. He really does mean well (he's morality he HAS to mean well) but that doesn't mean his actions are always good for Thomas or the right one. It's just an interesting character dynamic that is overlooked.
Or when its noticed, and people point this behavior out, they get dogpiled for even insinuating Patton is a bad person 💀.
But I guess, if it's not Patton then it's Roman LMAO

Sanders Sides as things me and my friends have said, PT. 22
Context: watching Frozen 2
Virgil: Not to be a hater but what did she actually gain by going there?
Roman: Going where? ahtohallan?
Virgil: Yeah
Roman: .... the truth about her racists family's past
Virgil: Congratulations Elsa. Your entire life's purpose was to find out your family was racist
Roman: PFFFT

Sanders Sides as things me and my friends have said, PT. 21
Virgil: Roman texted me. "Yknow what your room needs? Corner shelving. Everyone loves corner shelves." And I was like. Yeah. I would love some corner shelving. But, at the same time, was hit with the realization that I'm a 19 year old getting giddy at the prospect of corner shelves.
Logan: he's so right. I love corner shelves
Virgil: I know!!! Me too!
Logan: my corner shelves are so great. I want a third one. But I'm fresh out of corners.
Virgil: you get me. Our souls are intertwined on some deep cosmic level
Logan: because of corner shelves?
Virgil: because of a variety of things. But mostly the corner shelves

"boop war" this and "tumblr pvp" that. are we not all bonding? have you not met people you would have never heard of? do you not look at the url of the stranger who booped you and think wow, i just met someone who thought of me, even if its just for a boop, before hitting the boop button on them as well? do you not gain joy from this? even in the heat of battle, our humanity shows itself. we glance into the eyes of an opponent who holds our gaze ever so slightly too long for someone who's supposed to be an unfeeling soldier and we think to ourselves i'll miss you, stranger before we inflict a killing blow. the boops show us we're human
