Who the heck is Medivh I have absolutely no concept of him anymore
In art
an extremely evil mage filled to the brim with chaotic power and villainy constantly posed and personified as a Very Evil Loud Bad Wizard Guy
Warcraft III
bird prophet ghost grandpa man who just wants what is best for Azeroth
World of Warcraft
a laid back calculated image playing chess with you in his giant ancient magic tower that has an entire floor dedicated to Straight Up Banging
Warcraft (movie)
weird awkward shut in guy who is extremely melodramatic and evil
Heroes of the Storm
uncomfortably burly and handsome sassy wizard man who cracks snarky one-liners
Hearthstone
what is even happening at this point

Me: You know, the sylvar are pretty chill. They don’t have any really creepy design features like a lot of the other races
Master Sha’lor: *petting Gloober with like 4 inch nails*
Me: I take it back

Regarding what Genn did to his people, he's the reason the worgen curse became a thing, and he kinda built the wall so that some of his citizens were isolated from the rest of his kingdom. Platinum WoW did some great videos on youtube with a summary of the stuff he did. I love Genn as a character, he's so funny, but he's also somehow an even bigger mess than most of the other racial leaders
I know Genn's lore, enough to say that that's such a surface level understanding of those events and just 100% saying that it's Genn's fault is kinda ignoring the idea that leaders can make mistakes and errors in judgement, as well as ignoring the fact that every other racial leader has done shit like that.
Malfurion is just as responsible for the worgen curse as Genn is, if not more since instead of making sure that the worgen curse would never spread again by getting rid of the worgen, he simply just put it in the Emerald Dream and called it a day. Furthermore, I don't even think that Arugal was aware that the worgen curse was a thing that could spread to others. Hell, summoning the worgen was the only reason Gilneas didn't fall to the Scourge.
Also like. There's only so many good places to put the wall on your land that won't cost out the ass in labor and resources, especially when you actually look at silverpine and compare it to the old territory map from the first war
if genn had the wall built there, it probably wouldn't have been finished by the third war, and gilneas would have died to the scourge anyway, and then he'd be a bad leader for not defending them from the scourge better or whatever 🙄
