Making a list of all the stores I like to buy scarves and veils from so I have them all in one place! If anyone has any suggestions for stores I’d love to hear them!
Wrapunzel - scarves and other headcoverings (plus tutorials!)
Garlands of Grace - snoods, headbands, cowls, and other headcoverings
Evintage Veils - veils and mantillas
VeilsBoutique - veils and mantillas. They are a christian store but they sell the exact style of veil I like (plus they also sell veils with matching facemasks - actual cloth facemasks with lace overlays!)
DevorahChannah - veils, scarves, headbands, mantillas, snoods, and other headcoverings

🕯️spiritual veiling🕯️
Veiling (or head covering) is a spiritual practice that is found within nearly all world religions! Veiling is the act of covering ones head, partially or fully, with an article of clothing or hanging cloth. The type of veil or head covering varies from faith to faith. Also, everyone has different reasons for veiling. In general, it is a sign of respect to ones deities, to the self, and to the sacredness of the body. Vestal Priestesses of Vesta veiled before their goddess, Yoruba initiates cover their head for spiritual protection, Catholic Nuns veil for spiritual distinction and modesty, etc. Historically, women are more likely to practice veiling but there are many practices where men are also called to cover their heads. Veiling is for anyone and everyone who feels called to practice! 💐🌹
✨ BENEFITS OF VEILING ✨
(Note, this is an amalgamation of different reasons why people veil. Not everyone shares these same benefits or beliefs. This is a generalization!)
DIVINE DEVOTION
The crown of the head is, in many practices, believed to be the center of divine communication. It is the part of our body that is closest to divinity. As a result, many people veil in order to respect the sacredness of this connection. It’s almost as if placing a crown upon our head to symbolize our pure connection with our gods. It can also be a sign of humility and humbleness before divine. Veiling for divine devotion is often worn during rituals or worship but may not be worn for everyday use (this varies). This practice of veiling results in a closer, sanctified bond with our divinity.
SPIRITUAL PROTECTION
Similar to the last point, the head is believed to be sacred. If the head is not protected, the rest of the body may suffer. Emotional empaths may be called to veiling out of a desire to protect their energy from the world around them. Full-body veils can also be worn for this purpose. It offers comfort, peace, and a sense of spiritual protection!
DISTINCTION
For many people, veiling is a way of “wearing their faith”. A clear religious habit (form of clothing) sets you apart from the rest of the world. Not in the sense that you are higher or holier than the world but in the sense that your life is lived in devotion. It is a reminder of the covenant you have made within your spiritual path. It makes your faith visible and tangible. My Muslim sisters often express that wearing their hijab creates a sense of unification and connectedness.
EMPOWERMENT
I’ve noticed a lot of people, especially women, express how empowered they feel when they’re wearing their veils. It can often garner a sense of respect and reverence. Sadly there are spaces where veiling (especially for muslim women) is met with judgement but, even when faced with criticism, it is an empowering practice. It forces the world to view us as more than bodies to be objectified. It adds a sense privacy that demands respect.
SELF AWARENESS
Wearing a veil is a reminder to the world but also to ourselves. When we wear a veil, we are wearing the tradition of our respective beliefs. It is a physical symbol that aligns us with our spiritual practice and reminds us of why we do what we do. I find that I am much more aware of my actions when I am veiling (for rituals and for everyday wear). There’s a sense of responsibility that comes with wearing a veil. It’s highly symbolic and we have to respect its importance.
A BLESSING
For many, it is a reminder that we are forever blessed, protected, and empowered by our spiritual practice! It’s like taking up a mantle of power. For some it’s out of modestly but, for most, it’s an outward sign of the blessed relationship that we have with our respective spiritual paths!  ✨✨✨✨ Thank you for stopping by! My askbox is always open for anyone who wants to learn more! If you are someone who veils, I would love to hear your reasons and experiences. I feel like there are so many misunderstandings about the purpose of veiling and I hope this post could shed some light! 💐 🌷 🌹 P.S anyone can veil, as it’s a part of pretty much every culture, but be mindful of the style of veil you choose! There are some styles that are sacred and should not be used unless you are a part of that religion/tradition. Do your research.

Hey, Hi, Hello. So, I just saw a post basically telling pagans to rethink veiling, and let me tell you why that bothered me.
1. Veiling is universal and has been in almost all religions and cultures at some point in time.
2. Many veiling styles are open to anyone. There are some from closed religions and closed cultures that you should not do, but this is common knowledge just like any closed practice.
3. Veiling is not a closed practice, a particular style may be closed but the most common ones you see aren't. For example, several Muslim influencers have and do approve of non-muslims wearing Hijab if they want to, and Islam itself is an open religion for people to follow. Also, Catholic women will veil during mass. Chrisitan women may also want to veil during Church all over the world.
4. Veiling is a part of the Abrahamic Religions (yes, including chrisitanity which is very much open), and it is a pagan practice as well. Hellenic women used to wear their Himnations as veils. The Vestal Virgins in Rome would veil for their goddess.
Obviously, you should research the style you want to veil, just to make sure it's not somehow from a closed practice. But it's not harmful to veil as long as you are choosing to do it. Also, veiling straight up can just be a fashion choice too, like, it doesn't have to be super deep.
Normalize people wanting to veil for whatever reason.

✨ M𝕠𝕠𝕟 W𝕒𝕥𝕖𝕣 ✨ The harvest full moon was a few days ago and you may have made some moon water. But what do you do with it after it’s made?
Here are some of my favourite ways to use it!
To make moon water, put a container like a bottle or jar of water (preferably with a lid to keep bits from falling in) in the light of the full moon to charge for a minimum of a few of hours or leave to charge overnight.
Do you use moon water in your Craft?

An ancient italian ritual: The Wooden Pin (Italian: un antico rituale italiano; ll Cavicchio)
Hi everyone! This is my first write about witchcraft on my blog. Please be clements with my english ‘cause i’m usually write spells in italian so for me this could be a little bit difficult! This ritual is called “Il Cavicchio” in Italy and it is an ancient spell of “striaria” (the italian sorcery, originary from Etruscan). It’s a very simply -but powerful- spell that you can use to bless or curse anyone, depends on wich wood you choose. The requirements are simply to found because in this culture the ingredients for a spell belong to the agrarian world.
Requirements: • a walnut wood (for blessing) • a durmast wood (for cursing) •  a twine •  your wand/athame •  of course your magic! Execution: The best period to do this spell is on summer solstice or in the Saint John’s night (23th of June), but however you can do in every period of the year as long as with fullmoon and on midnight between friday and saturday. Pick up a long wood of walnut and on of durmast and you will leave them on a roof (the tradition wants that no animals had pee on) untill they will dry, so you have to wait 15 days and 15 night, thanks to this the woods will receive the influences of  universal energies. After that you must clean up wood from leafs and other imperfections and carve them making a recess thanks to witch you can tie them together (use the twine in this passage). Leave the cross obtained one night exposed to the sky (for the energies) and than you have to say: “Virga et baculus me consolata sunt” at the same time, with your athame (or wand, if you are capable!) divide the woods saying: “Divide et impera” And IT’S DONE! The spells is finish and now you can use this to blessing someone or crusing him. If you want to bless, you have to pick the walnut wood and plant it anywhere in the home of the interested person (a plant in his/her apartament, in the garden, hang up on the wall etc) and you have to say: “Ave nux, spes unica hoc passionis gloria!” For cursing anyone you have to do same thing but you have to pronunce: “What i plug, must be plugged to my enemy”.  And you have to think about what you want to plug (nutriment, urinate, thinking and even breathing).  Okay, i’ve finish here! Thanks to read this and, again, excuse me for my bad english but i hope you appreciate the spell and you understand that. Reblog and click “like” if you want more traditional spells, descriptions or rituals and write down below if you have any questions! (if you are reserved, you can write me by private message) See you soon, blessed be <3

♓️ F𝕦𝕝𝕝 M𝕠𝕠𝕟 𝕚𝕟 P𝕚𝕤𝕔𝕖𝕤 ♓️ The moon will reach peak of its fullness at 12:54 am on 21 September 2021 here in the UK but falls on 20 September at 7:54 pm EST. That’s why you might see different dates for this full moon.
Here’s a few ideas for things to do to align you to the full moon energies!
I’m wearing as many rhodochrosite bracelets as I’ve got, but still really feeling the waves of emotion. How about you?

we are divine, spiritual beings. we are the universe - when we manifest, and ask the universe, we are asking ourselves, we are limitless, we are the creators, our desires are ours already! you can create yourself, and be whomever you what to be.
remember great power comes to those who are willing to listen to the whispers of their own spirit instead of the shouts of the world. tune in. power radiates around you without you even saying a word.
change your mindset. reprogram your mind. reclaim your life because it all starts in your head. keep learning. keep growing. forgive. love yourself. love others. love + honour gaia. welcome the blessings, abundance, & opportunities. align with life.
