One thing that never fails to bring down my mood while playing re2r is having to walk past this banner:

They were all so excited for him to start. Leon was so young and he graduated from the police academy with flying colors, they were probably jumping in their boots to have such young and eager talent join the force. I bet they had stupid little party hats with streamers and cupcakes, ready to welcome him with open arms. They took the time to string up a banner along with little stars and other decorations. They even planned out a little activity for him. And when shit hit the fan, the lieutenant of Leon's chain of command went out of his to tell the rookie of their team to stay away, knowing if he had reported on time on his first day he would've perished with the rest of RPD. There was an effort made to ensure the baby of their team stayed out of harms way. I know they all would've loved and protected him at all costs.

And hopefully they're all resting with ease, especially Marvin, knowing their young rookie made it out the city in one piece.

One tiny observation about Liu Kang and Kitana's scene that makes me love it so much more is literally just the embrace of it. Loving kiss aside, you can tell just how much they were longing for each other from how they hold each other.

Kitana closes in first and quite literally pulls him down by his head:

And Liu instantly hugs her closer to deepen the kiss:

It honestly surprised me when I saw him not hesitate and deepen that kiss considering he couldn't even hug her back in Mk11. Although, on the other hand, it is safe to assume he spent an entire eon alone. And with her now being a Titan, maybe she can visit his timeline.

No deadass. You honestly think fucking LORD Liu Kang, who uses his manners and is always extremely humble, is calling his s/o a slut ??? a whore ??? I don't even think that man curses ???? Literally at the absolute MOST I can see him saying "damn" or "dammit" but like, that's literally it.

Like have your headcannons, but like, be realistic. It's okay to be a little vanilla, not everyone (literally most characters in mk) is this absolutely sex demon, freak in the sheets, edges you into oblivion type motherfucker.

And like, if you're genuinely writing stuff like this with characters that literally would never do something like that, just know you're taking your readers out of the immersion. The sheer amount of times I've either stopped reading an mk fanfic or skipped past it completely because it's just too much. It's so out of character, especially when it comes to the monks. Like it's so obvious when some of you have never had sex, which is fine, but yall gotta know when to relax. Like your fanfic reads like a 2013 wattpad fanfic from a middle schooler that just discovered porn for the first time.
