School has fucked up my perception of my art, it doesn't need to be perfect and hyper realistic if i dont want it to and i dont, as much as i admire hyperrealism i dont want that to be my art style because its just not fun and it doesn't represent the insides of my skull properly and i just need more texture and colours and weird stuff in my art, fuck the sqa making me make hyperrealistic art

I got my SQA letters today which meant I could send proof to admissions to turn my conditional offer for HNC to UNCONDITIONAL OFFER! I can't wait to do HNC Social services next term.

I am going to be the best student in the class, making sure I get straight As or I am a loser. I just have to get my funding done and enrol at the end of the month then I am all sorted for the next term of college.

Legatum Invenire Update #4 - Next Protagonist's Reveal, Starting on the First Issue, General Info Cleanup & More!

(really like a whole lot more)

*Checks the stuff that needs to be written* Damn. This is gonna be long. Another week, another Legatum Invenire update... or at least it feels like these updates are weekly. (It has been almost 3 weeks since the last update)

The second protagonist reveal, Pano Shine!

Pano Shine, the second protagonist of Legatum Invenire and Smench's best and closest (also currently only) friend. As it can be seen, Pano is more full of life and joy compared to Smench and it might seem like Smench might just straight up hate her but he doesn't, in fact he enjoys her company and personality. We'll learn more about their past through out the comics. By the titling of this section, you must have realized that there must be more member's to the main cast and yes, 2 more in fact! We'll see them when the time comes.

Info Cleanup on the Socials

This is nothing too major, just cleaned up some info on the blog bio which you should read since it contains small but new info on the plot and such. There was something else I wanted to mention about the socials is Twitter and how I don't have any idea on how to use it. Should I repost the update posts or post non-serious stuff. I'm currently trying to find a way to use it more productively or you can say a reason for it to exist.

Starting work on the comic for reals this time?!?!

Yep! Since I'm currently done with basically everything I've wanted to do before the first issue, only thing left for me to do is make the first issue! Progress after this point will probably slow-down purely due to the fact that a comic's workload is much more grand, compared to a character's artwork. I'll probably post environment and other stuff's concept art or small teasers for the first issue until it's release. Now I want to take some time to talk about the stuff planned for the first issue and just general stuff for the series!

Comic SQA Section

(It means self-question-answer)

Q: What kind of artstyle will the actual comics have? A: The comics will have an artstyle I call a dirty sketchbook type of art style. It will be black and white to save some time because coloring is pain for me. I'll be experimenting with stuff like panels and such. I'll keep update/teasing them. Q: Any plans on promoting the comic/Legatum Invenire as a whole? A: If I find ways to, sure why not. I really don't want to push Legatum into people's faces and be annoying in general. Like if there is a hashtag of sorts like new comics on tumblr and stuff I'll try to promote it. I have two concrete plans however. First one is a contest style give me your own OC's for background clutter. This will both help me fill out needed backgrounds and people will come so they can submit their oc's and when it releases, they'll at least give it a look to see their character! Second one is a side project I've posted about which I can't get into detail about it too much but it'll be something that Legatum Invenire's will be included in. (If it does even happen that is) Q: Will there be side comics? (Oneshots, Side Stories and such) A: Definitely! When the time comes that is. I'm not saying this to praise myself but, I made Legatum's world as big and expansive as possible which is something I'll get into detail later on this post but the tldr of it is that, yes there will be side comics. (Non-canon shitpost ones, side stories, oneshots, what if's and much more)

A talk on Legatum Invenire's World and it's opportunities

I just wanted to talk about how big Legatum's world is for a bit. I honestly feel like I can never run out of things to tell about it's world purely because of how big it is. Imagine every single thing in fiction, combined into one world it's huge af. It's so big that I sometimes can't remember certain details if I don't write them down. I'll probably continue on the same universe until I die purely because of this reason.

Any Legatum Invenire stuff, besides the comics?

They exists... in idea form though. I always wanted to develop a video game basically my whole life and some sweet background info, I was mainly going to focus on game development but then I realized that it was going to be too hard for me at the moment so I turned to the best next thing, comics! Smench (along with Pano and the other characters) were a part of it too. Smench wasn't even called Smench at that point. So if I decide or get the courage and determination to develop it, Legatum Invenire will get a 2D Platformer with a gameplay style similar to Pizza Tower and Antonblast.

The "Personal Part" of the post

That wraps up the update post! This might be the most long update post for Legatum Invenire, ever. Saying that, moving forward the workload for me will get more (aaaaaaa) which will be fun... As before, I'll just work on my own pace since I both wanna do other stuff than just Legatum (which if I just don't have anything to do, I work on Legatum stuff soooo) school and life also just drags everything down with it. I still wanna do art studies that I really should start doing since I feel like I need to improve drawing bodies and such. Not to mention that card game I was talking about, I wanna focus on that too just to see if people will give two shits about it and if not just not work on it straight up. That's it for the personal part and the update post as a whole, see in the next one!

fuck every person who has ever implied/insinuated that apps math is just for ppl who are too dumb for pure maths but still want something within that department/feild.

day one of back to school after exams w my new timetable, apps math fucking slaps and is just, an entirely different subject, cant believe i wasted an entrie year struggling with pure when i couldve been doing this 😭.

I got the results, even went as far as a masters degree and now work as a researcher in drug discovery living pay check to pay check and might have to move back in with my parents if the energy prices go up again.
