[Sex knowledge (nsfw-ish)]
Junior Quartet | Mo Dao Zu Shi 29-03-2021
[#mdzsjuniors - nsfw-ish]
Somehow got this from another thread yesterday: oyz is the most "knowledgeable" about sex and romance. Then it made me wanna rank them:
1- OYZ: a romantic who reads a lot of romance novels, which some do get rather graphic and are even illustrated. He theoretically knows more than the basics, despite having never done anything himself. He would totally be the one his bf turns to they want to know what to do so they do it correctly.
2- LSZ: this sweet and seemingly innocent bean always surprise them when he knows about such things. None of his bf are sure /where/ he learned all this (probably asked wwx, lwj or with some books), he simply tells them he wanted to make sure that he would never hurt his partner in the future because he didn't know how to do it well.
3- LJY: knows some things out of just being told how babies are made (for real, no metaphor!) And by very unfortunately stumbling onto interesting documents wwx had left all messed up with his other documents. There are things he also wishes he had never heard or noticed.
4- JL: never really had the time nor the interest to learn more than just how baby a really made. Jgy was often too busy to ever even think of having such a talk, where jc had his own problems and had never thought to talk about such thing with him, probably assuming jgy did. He tries to hide his lack of knowledge until he realises none of his bf will mock him for not knowing, they will learn with him as it goes.

Ok ok ok for the ship game! I don't think I saw you answer Madame Yu/Madame Jin yet? Can i also ask Ouyang Zizhen/Lan Sizhui? (Yes yes yes pushing my own agenda i'm afraid 🙈)
Oh EXCELLENT HELLO!!!!! yes indeed let's get to it
GAME
The Madams
Do I ship it: Um yes... 💖💖💖
What made me ship it: Well it's very simple really. You tell me two women are very close friends and sworn sisters and whatever and I know exactly what that means
Favorite things: Even though both can be very beastly they're obviously care deeply about their children and each other. Madam Jin deserves better than her horrible husband. Madam Yu deserves to get a break from her shitty home life and her own bad brain. They are established already as caring deeply for each other and are both elegant and hot women which means they can have elegant HOT LOVIN'... Basically I just love that they can give each other what they need and still stay completely in line with canon
Unpopular opinion: I don't know if there are any... Women hot. I don't hate yzy as much as the rest of the fandom does so probably whatever bad faith opinion People have of her I disagree with lol
The beans
Do I ship it: Yeah!
What made me ship it: Honestly, it was breaking down the dynamics between the juniors for little ficlets I think! They both have mature, kindhearted and romantic personalities and I think they'd go very well together as a result!
Fav things: The aforementioned similar personalities... They'd be such a sweet sight together, and I like to think of the more serious and studious Sizhui getting flustered by Zizhen hitting him out of nowhere with poetry and flowers... Leaping in front of Sizhui who is more than capable of defending himself LOL
Unpopular opinion: I wish they were more popular than zhuiling lol hell I wish LINGYI were more popular than zhuiling. I love lingyi it's my top one

I love ot4 junior quartet like it's just so great
Because you have zhuiyi which is like childhood best friends to lovers, "i cause problems" and "i fix the problems", soft mom friend + chaotic stupid. Their relationship naturally progresses from best friends to lovers, but they're both stupid in love matters, so they don't realize they're basically dating for a while
Then you have zhuiling which is like soft boy + tsundere who is struggling to tsundere because soft boy is so soft he forgets to be tsundere sometimes. It's also extra rich boy x (idk?) boy, so you have one constantly finding reasons to dote on the other, and the other not realizing it means that the rich boy got a crush
Then you have zhuizhen which is like sticking the soft boy mom friend together with the half time mom friend half time chaotic stupid (jingyi level) and sometimes both at once. Their relationship is all levels of soft, and sometimes they're the only voices of reason
Then there's lingyi which sticks together tsundere boy and chaotic stupid boy and slaps on a love-hate relationship and turns chaotic stupid boy tsundere only for tsundere boy. They thrive off insulting each other, but if someone else insulted or hurt the other they would go ham like "I'M THE ONLY ONE ALLOWED TO INSULT HIM LIKE THAT". Both would go crazy in rage if the other was hurt, but they also wouldn't admit it. They play pranks on each other all the time. They heavily deny having crushes on each other, and sometimes Jin Ling buys Lan Jingyi stuff but won't admit he was the one who bought it. Jingyi is half "Ooh you wanna kiss me so bad" and "who would kiss you?", and Jin Ling is just "Who would kiss you?"
Then zhenling which is tsundere boy + half mom friend half chaotic stupid, so sometimes they're like zhuiling and have such a sweet relationship where Jin Ling forgets he's a tsundere, sometimes they have a bit of that love-hate double tsundere thing going on, sometimes Zhizhen acts like his mom, and other times they team up to prank Jingyi
Then there's zhenyi which is chaotic stupid soft boy + half mom friend half chaotic stupid, so half the time Zizhen is the voice of reason and they have a zhuiyi like relationship, and half the time they're like chaotic stupid bros who pull pranks on each other in good fun or team up to prank Jin Ling. They can be very ride or die at times, and they can also be really soft
So then you stick zhuilingyizhen together and you have this best friend group formed under interesting circumstances that became ride or die pretty fast with multiple different dynamics, but it's filled with so much love and chaos. It's romantic time with the boys and despite the different dynamics they all love each other

Managed to write a little something through the brain fog and pain today, some junior shenanigans for an old ask game prompt in my inbox (’stomped’).
Technically, no ships I guess, or implied Zhuiling, or implied Zhuizhen, or implied Lingyi, or implied Zhuiyi...let’s face it, I ship the poly junior quartet so hard every time I write them them it tends to end up that way so read it how you like in terms of ships or no ships at all and just ‘what’s some spooning between good friends?’
---
Another round of laughter, barely muffled through the walls, and Jin Ling decided enough was enough. It really was intolerable. And irresponsible.
He threw off his blankets and stomped out of his room at the inn. It was only after he was down the hall and throwing open the door to the others’ room that he realised he was only in his under-robe.
Heat rushed to his face, but was swiftly forgotten as the others cheered his sudden appearance, waving around cups and sloshing wine everywhere.
“Would you all shut up and sleep already!” Jin Ling snapped, somehow managing to remember his purpose even when faced with the shocking state they were in.
Ouyang Zizhen’s hair was...something. It looked like some attempt at the arrangement that was currently fashionable for weddings, but it was executed awfully, looking more like the nest of some sort of small animal.
Lan Jingyi was scandalously underdressed, a light under-robe barely covering him as it threatened to come untied at his waist, one leg sticking out in the awkward way he was sprawled on his side, one shoulder of the robe wet with what was probably wine.
Lan Sizhui was...red faced and missing his forehead ribbon.
The sight of his naked forehead sent Jin Ling’s thoughts skittering away from his desperate need for sleep after the nightmare their earlier hunt had been. He didn’t dare look around for where the forehead ribbon had ended up, and yet, he desperately needed to know for no accountable reason.
“Jin Liiiing!” Lan Jingyi cried. “You changed your mind about sharing a room with us!”
“Come, have a drink, have a drink,” Lan Sizhui said, beckoning him with a hand and sloppily pouring wine into a fourth cup that seemed to have been left out just for him.
“Jingyi, you should do his hair next,” Ouyang Zizhen said, lifting a hand to pat at his hair, a wistful look on his face that clearly said he hadn’t looked in a mirror yet.
Lan Jingyi perked up, pulling himself upright and nodding so vigorously his robe slipped off one shoulder.
Jin Ling hardly knew where to look, but the angry bruises across the bared side of Lan Jingyi’s chest caught his attention.
“What are you idiots doing? You’re keeping the whole inn awake!” he snapped, belatedly closing the door behind him even though he knew it was doing a poor job of dampening their noise. “You should be resting!”
Perhaps he should have agreed to share a cramped room with them instead of purchasing his own, he might have been able to stop them from such ridiculousness.
Then again, he was finding himself utterly defenceless when Lan Sizhui asked him to do...anything lately. And with the way Lan Sizhui was holding out a cup of wine with an eager and inviting expression, Jin Ling realised he probably would have been talked into it.
Even now, he was tempted, if only because he found it so oddly difficult to deny Lan Sizhui anything when he looked at him like that.
But the hour was so late, and they had all fought so hard during the hunt. Lan Jingyi wasn’t the only one covered in bruises and cuts and needing rest.
“What would Hanguang-Jun say if he saw you behaving this way instead of resting and caring for your wounds?”
It was a low blow, but that offered drink in Lan Sizhui’s hand was very tempting, even if he had no desire to embarrass himself in the way they were behaving. He’d die of shame if word reached his sect, or worse, his uncle. He had to stop them quickly.
In unison, they gasped and looked around, as if Hanguang-Jun might be summoned to the room just from Jin Ling speaking his name.
If the circumstances were different, if he wasn’t so exhausted and battered from the hunt, if they weren’t at a public inn, he might have joined them with little fuss and probably enjoyed himself, even if it was hard to fathom looking at the state they were in now, but they were at a public inn.
He rather thought it should be Lan Sizhui being the responsible one, but he hauled them up one by one, awkwardly trying to avoid touching Lan Jingyi’s very exposed skin, and pushed them towards their beds.
The room they’d purchased was so small that it only had two beds, and Lan Sihzhui and Ouyang Zizhen shared one while Lan Jingyi sprawled shamelessly over the other.
Jin Ling stood over him for a moment, eyeing his bruises and wondering if he should apply more salve to them. He didn’t trust the idiot to have done the job properly the first time, and he didn’t want to listen to him whining about how sore he was all the way back to Gusu.
It was usually Lan Sizhui who fussed over them, and it felt odd to find himself playing that part, and especially for an idiot like Lan Jingyi, who would shortly injure himself again in some stupid, embarrassing manner, but he was already reaching for the salve before he thought that he should maybe leave Lan Jingyi to his fate.
But he never managed to get the salve.
Lan Jingyi, with a ridiculously loud groan, pulled himself up and reached over until he managed to grab Jin Ling by his waist and yank him forwards.
Jin Ling toppled onto the bed and, while frantically trying to get away, found himself swiftly manoeuvred until his back was against Lan Jingyi’s chest and he was firmly trapped by his deceptively strong arms.
The position was so utterly unfamiliar that he froze instead of fighting to get free.
Across the room, Ouyang Zizhen was already snoring softly, and Jin Ling could see they were in a similar position, with Lan Sizhui nestled against Ouyang Zizhen. He had seen Lan Sizhui and Lan Jingyi sleeping huddled together many times out on hunts, but out in the wild felt somehow very different to in bed at an inn.
Head flooded his face when he remembered the way Lan Jingyi’s under-robe was all but falling off him.
“See, isn’t this better than a lonely room on your own?” Lan Jingyi mumbled, holding him, if anything, even tighter.
Protests rose to Jin Ling’s lips but he bit down on them. As strange and constricting as the position was, it wasn’t unpleasant. He had wondered before, seeing Lan Jingyi and Lan Sizhui sleep this way on hunts, what it would feel like to be held close by someone else.
Although he had never considered it would be Lan Jingyi who would do it.
There was no point trying to escape. He’d learned long ago that he was no match for Lan Jingyi and Lan Sizhui’s ridiculous upper body strength.
And...he wasn’t entirely sure he did want to escape, now that Lan Jingyi was relaxing his hold just a little and shifting into a more comfortable position.
“Shut up and sleep,” he muttered belatedly.
Lan Jingyi merely hummed dismissively into his hair, and Jin Ling decided that no matter how nice it was starting to feel to lie there in Lan Jingyi’s arms, he would still wake early and make them all suffer for keeping him awake so long.
---
I’m not really sure how Jin Ling wound up the responsible one in this...but anyway, I wrote a thing and that’s miraculous on its own so I don’t really care if it’s out of character XD
Please excuse errors, I didn’t have the spoons to edit it, and I’m really rusty writing, but I’ve been so inactive I just wanted to post something new here for now, maybe tidy it up later for AO3 if I find the spoons for editing and summary and title and all the hard stuff about posting fic XD

22 “it’s freezing, come here.” for zhuizhen, please! your writing makes me Feel Things and i’m excited for it
This far South, the winters are mild enough that Lan Sizhui rarely gets cold, but today is an exception. He doesn't really miss it, especially when cold in the Cloud Recesses was treated as an occasion to improve one's cultivation rather than a reasonable excuse to add another blanket on the bed. Among all the things that have changed for Lan Sizhui since came to live in Baling, this might be his favourite : people here are a lot more practical.
Well, his second favourite, he corrects, smiling in spite of himself when his eyes drift toward his husband.
While Lan Sizhui lounges in bed (do not be idle, he can hear his great uncle scold) his husband is still bent over his desk, hard at work. There's always something to do in a sect of that size, and never enough people for it. Earlier Lan Sizhui himself got roped into helping repair the roof, part of which had collapsed after the unusually heavy snows. It was an interesting experience, and he thinks his father-in-law likes him a little better after seeing him work without a single protest.
Life here is different, and Lan Sizhui likes it a lot. He's never minded the rules of Gusu Lan, the calm of the Cloud Recesses, but there's a sense of community in Baling that suits him better. It reminds him of something he's mostly forgotten, hard days of his youth that never felt so hard because his family was together.
He hopes Baling Ouyang will become family as well, someday. For now, though…
Hard at work still, Ouyang Zizhen lights a new candle when the first runs out, and shivers. This won't do at all.
"Your father will scold me if you use too many candles again," Lan Sizhui notes, refraining a yawn. "He seems to think I keep you up all night. As if we'd need light for that."
Ouyang Zizhen startles slightly at hearing his voices. He raises his head, looking almost surprised to find Lan Sizhui on their bed. It's been half a year, he really should be used to it now.
"I could use candles on that," Ouyang Zizhen points out with a smile so full of warmth that Lan Sizhui has to look away. "To gaze upon a sleeping beauty in near darkness, to know that you chose to be mine and that no one but me may see you at the hour when night turns to morning…"
"That will put a dent in our budget," Lan Sizhui retorts, resisting the impulse to hide his face. He must be blushing so bad. He doesn't really mind.
"A worthy expenditure," his husband insists with such sincerity that Lan Sizhui makes a note to hide the candles, just in case.
"You're being ridiculous, Zizhen," he accuses fondly. "And you're avoiding the real problem. Put down those letters, it's too late for work."
"I promised father I'd look at them," Ouyang Zizhen sighs, looking a little more serious now. "His eyes aren't what they used to be."
It's something Lan Sizhui only learned when they got engaged, but sect leader Ouyang is much older than he looks. His cultivation has kept him in great shape, but it seems immortality won't be for him, so of course his only son and many daughters worry and try to help.
"Ruining your eyes won't heal his," Lan Sizhui points out. "Neither will getting sick. It's freezing, come here before you catch a cold."
"My cultivation is too high to get a cold," Ouyang Zizhen grumbles, but he blows on the candle, rises, and walks toward the bed.
Lan Sizhui watches his husband undress, then lifts the blankets covering him so Ouyang Zizhen can climb in bed and curl up against his side. The blankets are quickly wrapped around them. Lan Sizhui shivers at the cold that came to disturb his comfort, but it's fine. It'll soon get warm again and it's so nice to be like this, just the two of them.
Lan Sizhui knows some people don't understand why he left a sect as prestigious as Gusu Lan to come in such a place. He doesn't understand how he could have made a different choice.
Life here is so good, so perfect for him, for them.
Being with Zizhen is really the only choice he could have made.

[OT4, Juniors all getting together]
Junior Quartet | Mo Dao Zu Shi 23-03-2021
[#mdzsjuniors - ot4]
What if Jin Ling and Lan Sizhui started dating post-canon after some nervous pining, keeping their relationship a secret from the other half of the quartet.
Then, after some time, jl ends up asking lsz if he really loves him, because of the way he looks at ljy he has this something in his eyes. After some nervous turning around the subject, lsz finally admits he does /also/ love ljy, the same way he does jl. but lsz doesn't dare tell him, because he's sure ljy doesn't feel the same.
jl ends up telling him he doesn't mind sharing if it make him happier. Especially since it is clear ljy is also pining for lsz, but had noticed their little "secret" relationship and didn't dare step in. Turns out lsz is happily surprised and gets himself a second boyfriend, jl and ljy slowly develop their own brand of love.
So they now start this new poly couple, rather happy with how thing seems to work. But now that they are often only the three of them most of the time, they feel like they are missing someone all the time.
Then they realise that maybe, they didn't see oyzz as just a friend. They also feel a bit guilty for having left him so much to the side as they were trying to make this whole new thing work. lsz is the one to come up to oyzz to talk about it to him, as the two others didn't know how to bring it up to him.
oyzz doesn't really know what to answer to this, as he never really thought about it in the past. He /does/ have a little something for lsz tho "now that he's thinking about it", but doesn't know if he should join them. He does, and things turn out even better than before.
They are back to being the juniors quartet, but this time as lovers, even though most obviously don't know. Some days a more difficult, sometimes communication is hard, but they would rather not give it up for anything in the world, they absolutely like it the way it is.
I also wonder how the parents would all react.
I'd see jc going "Really jl, /another/ boyfriend? I suppose at least this time he's not a plan, shouldn't be too troublesome". Yet he doesn't try to break them off anyway, as he would rather see his nephew happy than sad because he tried to break them off.
wn is over the moon that lsz is surrounded by so many people who love him that much. Although even this sweet cinnamon bun has warned one time that they shouldn't dare to break his heart. All three hurriedly agreed.
lwj would be the silently supportive dad, ready to listen and give advice despite easy relationships not being his department. All he can wish for is for none of them to suddenly disappear on him for 13 years.
wwx isn't sure at first how come baby a-yuan is collecting this many boyfriends, but is just as supportive, ready to help them out. He's the dad ready to bring up the most embarrassing thing simply because he's trying his best to help his son out. If he can make sure lsz is not as lost as he was, then it would be this already won.
I cannot tell what oyzz dad would say, but if he were to not be supportive of his son, oyzz is made quickly aware that he already has a new family ready to support him whatever happens with him (my hurt/comfort ass don't like oyzz dad, so it would probably not be a good react) but oyzz is better off with all these other cultivators ready to support him than him anyway.
They lived happily ever after and we forget that jl is the jll sect leader (am not thinking angst tonight okay, shoo shoo).

Zhuizhen - 4 (A kiss where it hurts)
“I told you you didn’t have to try dad’s cooking…” Sizhui said lightly, his brows slightly furrowed.
“But it’s Senior Wei, and your dad…I just wanted to impress him…” Zizhen replied, sounding miserable, his arms tightly wrapped around his stomach. Wei Wuxian’s cooking was well known for being absolutely inedible but Zizhen would rather have a bleeding hole in his stomach than to disappoint his father in law.
“You’re an idiot, you know?” Sizhui said, letting out a quiet laugh at the indignation in Zizhen’s face, “now, tell me where it hurts…”
Zizhen slowly let go of his stomach, blushing lightly when Sizhui opened his robes, exposing his skin. No matter how many times he and Sizhui had seen each other naked, he always felt so shy around him.
“Hurts everywhere” Zizhen whined as he motioned to his abdomen, his eyes fluttering closed when he felt one of Sizhui’s cool hands touching his tummy.
“Oh, you poor thing…where does it hurt the most? Here? Or here?” Sizhui started massaging Zizhen’s tummy, keeping his hands light and gentle, “or maybe here?” he said as he touched the area where Zizhen’s stomach should be, causing him to whimper.
“There, that’s where it hurts the most…” he said pitifully, his hand wrapped around Sizhui’s wrist.
“Let me make it better then…”
Sizhui leaned down until his soft lips touched the warm skin of Zizhen’s stomach and left a gentle kiss there followed by a dozen of other little pecks.
“Better?” Sizhui asked, his hand now gently petting Zizhen’s well-kissed stomach. He left one last kiss to his tummy when Zizhen nodded in reply before settling down next to him and going back to massaging him.
Zizhen was lulled to sleep by Sizhui’s soft hands, not quite noticing when he lost consciousness.

ok! for the kiss prompt: lan sizhui & ouyang zizhen (my underappreciated boi!), growing things
The Baling gardens were one of Lan Sizhui’s favorite places. He and Ouyang Zizhen knelt in the soil, basket of bulbs between them, and Lan Sizhui followed Zizhen’s instructions as they planted Minjiang lilies in the ground.
“They smell especially lovely at night,” Zizhen said, voice close to Lan Sizhui’s ear.
“I’ll have to come back once they flower, then,” Lan Sizhui said, raising his head to smile at Zizhen. Ouyang Zizhen leaned forward and kissed him across the basket.
“What?” he said, once he’d pulled back, when Lan Sizhui couldn’t help the giggle that escaped him. “You know I can’t resist you when you smile.”
Kissing prompt!
