werewolf!bucky vampire!buck ofc lets fall to the expected norms mainly because i am a dog coded bucky enthusiast and also as much as i think of buck as a doberman he's very much vampire coded

werewolf vampire feud being an actual and expected thing, the 100th being gunned from the beginning of the war as a trial unit to see how humans, vampires, and werewolves are able to work together. most units kind of failing at it because everyones too territorial, too much blood history, too blood-proud, and humans too cautious.

enter the 100th, always the outlier, ever the undisciplined.

officer training begins far before their assignment to the 100th, so the buckies meet each other first. born-werewolf currently lone-wolfing john bucky egan's proverbial but also quiet literal fur bristling when he firsts scents the air of his new base and zeroing on buck cleven, the vampire who's going to sleep on the bunk right next to him. millennia-old ice-cold buck cleven smelling the wet dog fur and hearing the low growls first before looking up from folding his handful of monogrammed kerchiefs to a werewolf standing by the bunk next to him, presumably assigned that bed.

buck promptly ignores the guy, which bucky doesn't take at all very kindly. john still gives the guy his name though, a week down the line, because, well, he's very pretty and very smart and very capable of putting bucky on his back.

werewolves being high in the sky is unheard of. bucky suffers through the 'trying to get closer to the moon?' jokes easily enough. no sun smiting vampires here btw, should i say they glitter like the cullens or nah. just the slightest glitter then, lets say that there's a glow when the sun hits their skin, vampires being the suns favorite child or something and when they die they return as ashes to the sun to give those vampire pilots some fear of flying too close to the sun.

vampire duo crubbles, centuries of being together reflected on the way they're never apart on the ground. croz's diet has to be like incredibly precise and certain blood sits weirdly in his stomach so up in the air paired with the anxiety of being so close to the sun he's puking out anything that's left in his stomach. ms. jean crosby known keeper of both harry crosby and bubbles payne, only woman to keep those two in line, but nobody actually knows what she is.

another werewolf and vampire pair: hammy and brady. hammy being a werewolf disaster duo with dougie, squabbling and rucking up the base like pups, bucky having to snap at them to cut it out when he's also wagging his out-of-sight tail wanting to cause mayhem too but maybe not when some very important general is by the base yeah. brady just brings that vibes of being incredibly old and incredibly stuffy and incredibly stick-in-the-mud at first you know?? hammy first meeting his vampire pilot and scoffing because that's literally the stereotypical vampire he's shit upon pre-army. until he sees brady pilot. until his pilot manages to execute a move so beautiful he doesn't end up as a pile of burnt fur within minutes of a trial flight. until he sees john fucking brady crack a smile at him with the slight glitter of the dying sun caressing his skin. dougie, smelling this shit from literally 4 miles away groans because brother, really?

vampire!kenny stuck in the body of a 19 year old never to grow old, waiting for his passing from the sun whenever that is. very human very warm very kind rosie rosenthal easily grasping at kenny's ice-cold-yet-sun-blessed skin and sparks fly from the flat of the palm meeting rosie's and to the tips of his bronze burnt curls.

fiery human chick harding able to go toe-to-toe with wolves and vampires, mouth stretched wide the first time he has bucky egan sitting on his visitor's chair whose metabolism is working overtime trying to burn the devils piss of a hooch out of his system. meeting born-werewolf jack the next hour who's bucky's only equal in their eclectic werewolf pack—whose fur is clearly bristling from bucky grounding him but he clocks instantly that this were will be the one who will actually snap on his new boys' heels if they ever step out of line.

does anyone have examples & links to wolfwren fans being toxic? so we as a community can block them + make sure they understand they aren’t welcome in the fandom? I think Croco/Robin as a ship exists kind of like... out of circumstance? Kind of?

Quick disclaimer, I only got into OP in like 2008~ish at the age of 13, I can not comment what it as like being in the fandom before that because I wasn't there (and when OP began in 1997 I was like two whole years old). So whatever I say here doesn't come from like, a fandom veteran who knows the entire history of the OP fandom or anything. I'm just attempting to rub my braincells together here

Like in the year of our lord 2023 we have many wonderful Crocodile ships to classify as OTPs and NOTPs etc, but if we go back to like 2006 or so, long before the Summit War Saga was even a thing, try to think about what characters you would have shipped Crocodile with? Because for a long time, the only canon material Crocodile had appeared in was just the Alabasta Saga (+one brief cover story), and we don't really see Crocodile interact with that many characters during the story. Like. Really the only character Crocodile has multiple, extended interactions with aside from Luffy and Vivi is Robin. All the other characters he interacts with maybe once or twice for very brief scenes, so based on canon material alone, there isn't much for fuel for shipping purposes.

It really wasn't until Marineford when we finally started getting other characters to ship with Crocodile, mainly the Ever Loyal Daz who seems to be willing to follow Crocodile anywhere (romantic as fuck) and Doflamingo after he and Croc tried to kill each other twice at Marineford (people seem to love a tsundere Croc) And now with Cross Guild we also have Mihawk (and Buggy) as far as shipping options go. And of course there's MORE than just these ships, there's the more crack-leaning ships (like Dragodile and whatever you'd call the Cobra-ship) and some others (Jinbei, Whitebeard, Ivankov, Galdino, Luffy even) etc etc

The only difference is that Croco/Robin got to kind of be like, "the default Crocodile ship" for like 8 years without major competition. And because the ship has "history", even when new ships pop up the one that has been around the longest will still stick out. Not to mention, although we have options now, even those have very little canon material to actually work with when compared to Croco/Robin. Like Dofuwani exists because the two had like three whole pages worth of interactions, but compare that to the screentime Croc had with Robin? It's not even a competition

Not to mention, Croco/Robin is just. Like it's kind of the mandatory het ship. Like there aren't many straight options with canon material to work with, and there's gonna be people who really want to have a het ship with Crocodile if you know what I mean. But also, let's be real. There's a lot of straight women who're horny for Crocodile. Valid as fuck. And Croco/Robin could have like, a self-insert-y quality to it, like some people might be able to see themselves in Robin? Also valid. And that can apply to some straight men too, like I'm sure there's cishet men who look at Crocodile with that "god I wish that were me" energy, who love seeing Crocodile ship fanart with Robin, as they can project onto Crocodile etc. This is also valid. Point is that the ship appeals to cishets by simply being a het ship, but also it might make for an easy ship for a lot of straight people to project onto for one reason or another.

But to be fair, I'd be lying if I didn't admit that I think Croco/Robin has the potential to be a really interesting ship. Like they ARE the Baroque Works Boss Pair, literal partners in crime, the most powerful members of the secret criminal organization who run the whole operation, they worked together by themselves for four whole years, Crocodile protecting Robin by allowing her to hide under his wings. They were together, ready to take over an entire country and obtain a weapon of mass destruction And then Robin betrays him. And Crocodile admits he never trusted her to begin with.

Like on paper alone, this is great material for a juicy romance.

Especially now when we understand why Robin was on the run and why she feared being betrayed, and how looking back at Crocodile's reaction when Robin "reads" the Poneglyph for him, he genuinely seems a little sad about her betraying him (mystery trauma etc). This is a genuinely interesting character dynamic, like even without any romantic context I would love to see Crocodile and Robin meet again in the storyline and like, see what Crocodile thinks of Robin having joined the Strawhats vs what Robin thinks about Cross Guild, how the two might interact etc. They are interesting to me

Like personally, I agree, I don't think the two were actually ever romantically involved with each other (frankly I don't think Crocodile trusts anyone anymore enough to let them get close him like that, dude's been voluntarily celibate for like two decades lmao), their relationship was surely just business-only. And while the ship doesn't personally interest me (just kinda "meh" for me), I do understand why the ship appeals to others and why it's popular to this day

But yeah, I do think a lot of the reasons Croco/Robin is as popular as it is due to circumstance. It's been around the longest, it still arguably has the most canon material to work with, it appeals to lots of people. God knows shippers don't actually need the characters to like each other, otherwise people wouldn't be shipping Croc with Buggy as we speak

What’s the worst ships on glee, in your opinion?

The first that comes to mind is easily the one I was forced to think about just yesterday, Puck and Kitty. The age difference is one thing but the gross way in which they approach it and the general context is another. It's just a big no no. And you know having rewatched Sadie Hawkins yesterday I am very sorry that the writers turned it into a sexual thing but their banter was great and I actually think they could have worked great as buddies. But as is it's pretty much a no brainer as one of the worst ships.

Not to say all the worst ones are Puck-related because there are other Yikes ships, but obviously if we're gonna mention Puck and age difference and grossness and worst ships we can't not bring up Shelby. What an absolute shitshow. Another no brainer.

And lastly, just to say more of a "main" ship I'm gonna go with Quick. I really am not trying to turn this into an anti Puck-ships post lol but they're by far the main couple who make me the most uncomfortable. (Main couple being, like endgame or significant midgame ships with the main characters.) Even beyond the very questionable circumstances of Beth's conception, they're just so dysfunctional and have treated each other like shit so often. Mainly Puck tbh. I think in another world I could have considered Puck and Quinn a better couple because they had cute moments and have a bond, how could they not all things considered. I don't inherently hate it just how it was executed. Listening to Just Give Me a Reason the other day made me wish I could root for them because I do like a lot of their themes. And I think they could still work as a friendship but not as a romantic ship, not with how the series played out. I'm one of those people who don't consider them endgame because season 6 gives us nothing to believe they are. Go on girl, give us nothing! When it comes to Quick I actually love that for us.

I wake up to the sun shining on my face and birds chriping outside my window. I live about 5 minutes from my office, so I can always wake up 10 minutes before I actually have to get up and get out. We do pretty much everything together. While I mix some new tea, she falls asleep in my lab, or I fall asleep on her shoulder while she is working on new improvements. My delulu ass sometimes thinks there is tension or whatever, but I don't want to get my hopes up.

However, let's get to the point of this and how we got here!

I brush my teeth, put on my parfume (that Shuri loves btw) and get on my way. The first thing I hear is a distressed workaholic named Shur.

"No, this needs to go over there Bast!"

"Hey Shuri," her stressed figure turns to me, and she smiles in my direction. after dropping down her weird looking tool, she gives me a long hug, not without complimenting me while rubbing my back in soothing circles.

"You smell so good usana" (told ya) she takes a deep wiff behind my ear where I teasingly placed a huge amount of parfume cause I knew this would happen.

"Why thank you m'lady" we part but I still hold onto her shoulder and I can't surpress a smile cause what I see is like a every day deja vu.

I smooth my finger over her eye brow where big wrinkles found it's way on her forehead.

"That scowl must hurt love, don't ruin your pretty face," and as always, I get the reaction I was hoping for. A sweet lingering smile and a smoothing forehead.

"Hey Sissi" Nakia enters the room and goves me a long hug followed by T'Challa.

"Hey girl you are glowing"

"Same to you girl you look stunning"

T'Challa gives me a sweet smile, and we start chitchatting about god knows what. Okoye eventually joins in, and we all just kind of talk about anything but work. But after some time, more topics came up. I don't even know how it started. I think Nakia was teasing T'Challa about his anti flirting skills, and Okoye brought up that from far away, he used to look like a fish while kissing.

"What are you talking about!"

"It is true, T'Challa, but you got better." He jokingly scowls at his girlfriend but smiles as soon as Nakia gives him a peck.

"Omg, I remember how I caught you two making out in the weaponary room, and you looked like you chocked on some granula." Shuri laughs out loud while telling the story, whike we all laugh with her until-

"What is it with you teasing me Sister, you didn't even have your first kiss yet," he said jokingly, and compared to regular jokes between them, it seemed really harmless, but something in Shuri snapped.

"That's not true!" T'Challa didn't get the hint to shut up, so he was casual about it.

"Your Teddybear doesn't count"

That was enough. Shuri drops her tools and goes out of the room after excusing herself.

Of course, I follow her, and as always, I can find her in front of the blue lake next to the black panther cave.

"Hey you." Shuri turns her head and shamefully looks on the ground.

"Hey"

"What was going on? Are you okay, love?" I sit next to her and nudge her shoulder to show it's okay to talk.

"Yeah, no, i don't know, really,"

"Was it what T'Challa said?"

"It's not like I don't want my first kiss!" She gets up and takes a few laps back and forth before continuing

"I am not perfect, and practice makes better, but what if I suck at it?"

"Suck at what? At something new?" I get up too and take her hands in mine

"Listen, whatever happens, if the other person truly loves you, they don't care, and if they do, then they gotta keep searching. And besides, I didn'thave my first kiss either, and I am more relaxed than ever." I look in her chocolate brown eyes, and she succeeds

"What did I tell you about that frown pretty girl?" I smooth my hand over her brows and she nuzzles her face in my palm.

"Enkosi (Thank you) (Y/N)"

We stayed like that for a little longer until we went back inside

2 weeks later

"(Y/N)!"

Shuri bursts into my room. Panting like crazy and when she finally speaks, I expected everything but this.

"I need to ask you something!"

"Shuri, it is 10 p.m. I could've been sleeping or masturbating!"

At the image of that, Shuri flushes for a second, but enough for you to see it.

"Please don't talk and let me finish"

"Ok ok what is it"

"Do you remember our talk at the river two weeks ago? I couldn't stop thinking about it. Now listen, maybe to get over my fear of messing up. I need to practice...with a person I trust... Do you know what I mean??"

I look at her completely baffled with a hint of anticipation and desperation, and who would I be not to say

"Okay, let's do it"

Present

"I am not now shut up. I have to focus!"

She taked my face in her hand and walked closer to me while putting her other hand on my waist. My hands are really sweaty, but I manage to grasp her elbows, and I look deep into her anxious eyes. I can hear both our hearts pounding so fast that I think it's not healthy and I can smell her. She is so beautiful it breaks my heart, but I can't wait. She licks her lips one last time before slowly getting closer to my face. I can feel her warm breath on my nose, and she closes her eyes. I do the same. And our lips collide. It's so weird that feeling is like you are on drugs. You don't hear, you don't see you, just completely feel the moment. Her lips are softer than pillows, and when she lightly whimbers, I can't take it anymore.

We part, and the first thing I notice is her silly little scowl. Wordlessly, i smooth it down, and she crashes our lips together again. But this time, it is stronger and hungrier. I get cocky and bite down on her lower lip so I can kiss it better in a silent apology. I moan into her mouth, and our tongues are in a erotic battle to fight for dominance. I win and grab her by her curls. My reward is a louder whine for more, and I start kissing down her neck. I kiss every spot until...

"Oh fuck (Y/N)"

Until I foung her sweet spot. I make her melt, and I can't stop. She doesn't intervene either. This is the best moment in my life until griot pops our bubble.

"Princess, Queen Ramonda asks for you presence in the throne room"

Shuri shockingly looks at you, and you can't hel but stammer out incoherent words

"Fuck"

Hello Fanders!

Thanks to the lovely @tsspromptmonth event, I realized I actually don't know a lot of shipnames for the pairings I don't regularly engage with. And finding those names out is a hassle. So, I decided I would gather what shipnames I can find and put them in comprehensible lists for easier access. This will probably take me a while to set up, but I'll try to work on it consistently.

I would also like to do some polls at some point, just to gauge the popularity between certain shipnames, all in good fun of course, you can use whatever names you like.

Also, this is a proship blog! I know many don't like to acknowledge that RemRom exists but I will not be turning a blind eye. You can block this account if they bother you. I will be tagging it appropriately.

For now, my first goal is to set up lists for just the shipnames between the six sides, Patton, Roman, Logan, Virgil, Janus and Remus. Other will probably added later but this is it for now (that's already gonna be a lot guys).

If you have any shipnames you think aren't well known, please send me and ask or submission! Especially if we're talking polyships of four or more, the bit I've gathered so far isn't much.

adem appreciation post... also sort of an intro post?? this is my oc adem yavuz. he is a 20 year old greaser (at least in 1956) and he eventually becomes a famous method actor (think brando, dean and clift, but maybe not THAT that famous. but famous). he's an amalgamation of all of my interests (the 50s, old method actors, actors from the 50s and 60s... old hollywood. greasers. rockabilly. theatre. OK U GET IT). he's an impulsive, mean turkish-italian ashkenazi jewish new yorker (i know it's a lot. he's also egyptian) greaser who likes cars a little TOO much and is extremely and super emotional all of the time. he's a total manwhore, wears a lot of leather and is honestly one of my fave ocs of all time. he ends up falling in love with his best friend he meets in college, billy blair, who belongs to my beloved friend @corvidayyy. we've had them for like 2 years now. their shipname is called bildem btw, i love it. a lot of his story has to do with his relationship with billy, trying to achieve his dreams, and his struggle with mental health (he has a lot of disorders. ask for specifics if you want), trauma, racism, queerphobia, etc. a lot of that great (sarcastic) stuff. he starts off as a total delinquent (while also trying to complete college with a bfa in theatre) in a gang called "the bats" (which is a total inside joke for them, they don't actually call themselves that). he works up to becoming an actor, with his first movie as a main character being in '57.. methinks. here's a timeline i drew a year ago on his aging or whatever :^)

and here are some of my other fave drawings of him that i think showcase his personality well or are just. fun.

he's actually pretty athletic; he boxes, does a bunch of other fighting stuff. and i mean he also has the occasional street fight. because he's a greaser doing greaser things ofc. at some point he starts to embrace and explore his genderqueerness (he uses he/she/any pronouns btw!), but not as openly as he would wish due to the time period. it's mostly around friends, family, etc, where he'll show his transness a little more. there's honestly so much i could write about this guy. if you have any questions about him, please ask. not even kidding. i could go on for hours, and questions give me the greatest starting point to sharing my passion with you guys. if you want to read more about him, here's his toyhouse profile. it's a little unfinished because there's so much more to his story that i need to write there, but the general stuff is out.
