todo list: i add my daily tasks here and use it as a widget on my phone

love: although i am single, i like this app as it sends me positive affirmations throughout the day. you can link it with your partner or even a friend and send each other sweet notes.

structured: i use this app for reminders to do my daily tasks. i will post an example of today’s schedule so that you can get an idea of what the app looks like.

dbt coach: this app has lots of dbt skills for beginners as well as those familiar with dbt. i also utilize my dbt workbook alongside this app. you can also track your moods, write in your diary, etc.

headhelp: anonymously post in groups, communicate with others dealing with things similar to you. you choose a cute character and that is who you are identified as - anything you post is completely anonymous.

libby: libby is an app you can use to read/listen to audiobooks. it is completely free - all you need is a library card which is very easy to get!

brighter bite: an ed recovery app. log meals, feelings, etc. as soon as you open the app, you’re blessed with a cute doodle guy who asks how you are feeling and you go from there.

sticky widgets: i use this app’s widget to keep my current dbt skill on my home screen.

cuty pet: get a cute little pet on your home screen. you can give your pet milk, play with them, etc.

Youtube ads make me want to gnaw through my tongue

iOS youtube has taken away my ad-skipping-for-unskippable-ads trick (the one where you press the i when and ad’s playing and select ‘Stop seeing this ad’) so I’m deleting the app and here’s why you can too and download Firefox Focus

On iOS, Firefox Focus is a slimline privacy browser (like all of Firefox, is backed by the Mozilla non-profit) which not only has a built in ad-blocker, but will allow you to run youtube with NO ADS

AND!! Firefox Focus lets you continue to play your video if your phone is locked:

The cons to this form of privacy viewing is that Firefox Focus is designed for the most basic of browsing with privacy at its core so no cookies, no ads, and no ability to open more tabs for cookies to track your activity across.

This means that you can only have one tab open at a time, you might need to log into your google account often if you want to access your specific youtube, and you can’t bookmark or save sites etc due to FF’s minimalist design. It does, however, let you ping that tab over to your phone’s default browser (which should also be Firefox, imo) if you want more web functionality at any point.

Its’s not THEE perfect iOS youtube ad-blocking solution (as it's less convenient than just opening the Youtube app and sitting through ads if that's what you're into) but if you care as much as me and the ads ignite as much rage in you as it does me then hopefully this gives you a viable option whilst also supporting the best browser organisation out there.
