Please and thank you
hi boo, imma get one of these out bc it was draiiinning and write the other two later!
17. to distract // ln4.op81 // G
Liam was a terrible influence, really. The Logan of this morning, bleary eyed and braindead with the prospect of a new day, would never have picked a lock, let alone failed at picking it and been bestowed with detention the entire month.
So. Terrible influence.
It's in the hour before his first detention, where he's stowed himself away in the library next to Oscar, that he gets a WhatsApp notification from his mom. Don't forget eggs for tonight! Also Kat has something to ask you.
logan, pops down from the top of the screen a second later. He thumbs open the message thread. i left dad's present in m02.
good for you, Logan thumbs out, while trying to think of a way to get out of detention that isn't 'I have to buy eggs'.
"What's wrong?" Oscar asks him. "You've got your 'Something is wrong' face on."
"I have to run groceries for my dad's birthday cake," Logan tells him. The time on his phone flicks to 16:57. "And get my sister's present for him that she forgot in the art block, and do this while I'm in detention."
"I can do those," offers Oscar.
"We're going out for dinner at six," added Logan, swinging his rucksack over his shoulder as he stood. "I haven't even told my mom yet. Don't play the Jurassic Park theme tune at my funeral."
Oscar grins. "No promises. And don't tell you mum," he adds, grabbing his own bag and following Logan out of the library, "not today anyway."
"Okay," they turn down a corridor of lockers, "so I should just. Not show up? Happy birthday dad, your son's M.I.A."
Oscar doesn't say anything for a minute. Logan leaves him be, caught up in his own trainwreck. They get to the room with a minute left on the clock. Logan turns to give Oscar a hug. When they pull apart, Oscar gives his shoulder a squeeze, round lump of a nose scrunched up a little with his grin. "Sit near the window," he says. "And leave the rest to me."
Logan enters detention feeling suitably concerned about his best friend's mental health. There's a couple of people already sat down, and a girl takes up the seat closest to the row of windows so Logan takes the seat just behind her. There's no teacher. Two minutes later, a boy lopes in, and drops his backpack down as he props himself on the desk at the front of the room, a wrinkled piece of paper in hand. "Prigard?"
"Here."
"Lawrence?"
"Yup."
"Sargeant?"
"Uh, here," says Logan, staring. He's fairly certain the guy is too young to be a teacher. He barely looks older than Logan. No one else says anything about it though, so.
It's fifteen minutes into the hour, maybe, when the door opens. Logan glances up, history essay blurring on the table. A few others do too, including the guy at the front, who's spent the entire time after taking roll fiddling on his phone.
"Ella Hare?" he says, glancing down at the register sheet. "You're a little late."
"Sorry," says Oscar, slipping slightly awkwardly into the room. "Got stuck in a comb."
Guy At The Front lights up like a very small Christmas Tree. He leans forward slightly. "Glad you found your way out."
Oscar makes his way to the front of the room. By this point, everyone in the is watching with at least an absent boredom. "Sorry to interrupt, mister..."
"Norris," says the guy, grinning.
"Mr Norris," repeats Oscar, stopping at the other end of the desk, and Logan can see his entire face. "What are your thoughts on... defenestration."
Logan puts his pad of paper and pen carefully into his bag. He zips it up as quietly as he can while Mr Norris says, "I love defenderation." Logan's hand slips, and the zipping goes slightly high-pitched and too loud. He freezes, eyes on the back of Mr Norris's head. It starts to turn.
"Hey," says Oscar loudly, quickly, "Mr Norris, are you free right now?"
A pause. "Depends," says Mr Norris. Logan edges out of his seat.
"Would you mind listening to my sister's grade eight saxophone?" Oscar continues. Logan nearly chokes on his own tongue.
"Would I..." echoes Mr Norris, and now he sounds confused.
"Yeah," says Oscar. The girl next to Logan is watching him creep his bag onto his shoulders with raised, incredibly studded eyebrows. Logan wonders if they're legal. "She needs a second opinion?"
"I'm the second opinion?"
"On estimate," says Oscar, and then there's a saxophone blaring through the room, just obnoxious enough for Logan to lift his chair back into the desk and fumble the window open. Now everyone is looking at him. There's a set of twins who look like they're three second away from shitting themselves with laughter.
Logan looks to where Oscar has his phone out. Mr Norris has perched on the end of the desk, back of his curly head to Logan and eyes on Oscar. He reaches up just as Logan puts his leg out of the window, and presses a finger to Oscar's phone. The music cuts out on a high note. "She's good," he says. "But is that what you came here to ask? If you were looking for Brown, then-"
Logan's arm slips and bangs into the window sill. Shit.
"What the-" Mr Norris twists. Logan's mentally signing his death certificate, when Oscar lunges out and his hand goes around Mr Norris's cheek. And then he, to Logan's immense horror, crushes their mouths together.
Logan's pretty sure his jaw just hit the other side of the earth.
Then he remembers why Oscar's just kissed a teacher, and funnels himself the rest of the way out of the window as quickly as possible.
Liam hands him a carton of eggs, the present his sister forgot, and three packs of Daim. "Sorry," he says, sincerely. "I wouldn't have asked if I knew that was all today."
"No problem," says Logan, still reeling. "All in the name of love."
Liam looks at him concernedly. "Right. Are you. Okay?"
"Oscar kissed a teacher," Logan tells him. That's illegal, he's pretty sure. More illegal than twenty piercings in one eyebrow.
Liam's face goes bewildered. "Really? Why?"
Logan groans. "To get me out of detention."
"Why'd he have to kiss a teacher?" asks Liam, confused. "Wasn't Lando taking it?"
Now Logan's also confused. He asks, tucking the eggs, the present, and two of the Daim packs into his bag. "Lando?"
Liam elaborates, taking the Daim pack and opening it so Logan can arrange everything in a way that hopefully won't break the eggs, "Lando Norris? Curly hair, kind of tanned. He's a senior. And a teacher's pet, although I'm not sure how, he's not exactly known for being the perfect academic."
"So he's not a teacher?" Logan checks.
Liam shakes his head, confirming, "Nope," as he passes Logan the opened Daim pack. "Also you better get a move on, or Oscar kissing Lando to get you out of detention is going to mean nothing." Urged on and sufficiently comforted by the knowledge that his best friend will not be sent to jail, Logan rushes to flag down his bus home.
are you alive? he sends Oscar. he isnt a teacher btw hes a senior. also im on the bus.
The reply comes while he's video taping his dad cutting the cake and he's singing Happy Birthday a lot quieter than his mom. That's a relief, it reads, punctuation and all, because I'm pretty sure I asked him out for good measure.
Logan continues recording, and just hopes Oscar's bid for love never involves breaking into the cupboard of art supplies.

Now that tlou is over for now I need more father & found kid media in my life. Do you have any recommendations? ❤️
Well, the two off the top of my head are obviously The Mandalorian, which I'm sure I don't need to explain, and another Star Wars media: the animated series The Bad Batch - which the fandom jokingly calls the Dad Batch because it's a show about a group of brothers who are "defected" clones and they find themselves taking under their wing a little girl named Omega who is technically their sister because she's the first and only female clone.
Tumblr media
And while Omega has a very special and unique relationship with each one of her brothers, one specifically stands out.
Tumblr media
While the others are like brothers/uncles, Hunter is truly a father. They have a special connection from the start, as you can see here in this pic she's his little shadow and loves to mimic him. At this point in the story, he's all about giving her a life she deserves, away from danger and just letting her be a kid. He's a tired dad but he loves being a dad. And everyone can tell by just looking at him.
Tumblr media
Another pair I've been recently obsessed with is Stephen Strange and America Chavez. Even if you're not into MCU, go watch Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness because the boost of serotonin the Instant Adoption trope in this movie gives you is everything you hoped for and more.
Like, the protective instinct in Stephen pops up out of nowhere and he's like what the hell?! I can't turn it off! But do I want to turn it off? Nah, not really.
Istg, maybe there's not a lot of content with just one movie but the FICS?! The fics are chef's kiss!
Tumblr media
Then there are other more famous pairs like Hopper and El from Stranger Things or Geralt and Ciri from the Witcher. But those I think I don't need to explain because their cases are widely known. So I'm gonna go in a different direction.
Tumblr media
Oldie but a goodie. Marcel Gerard and Davina Claire from The Originals. Used to be my whole personality like Dick & Rachel and Joel & Ellie are now. I'm not gonna lie, my heart got broken many times and they are the reason I have trust issues but god they were so good. Like c'mon, the man saves her from literally being sacrificed in some ritual and instantly goes "yup, you're my child now", dials up his protectiveness to 11, creates her a beautiful room in the old church's attic, and even if he fucks up many times, I haven't seen a man love stronger before I met Marcel Gerard.
And of course:
Tumblr media
SAVING THE BEST FOR THE LAST HAHAHA. DICK GRAYSON AND RACHEL ROTH, DC TITANS. But if you followed me for a while, here or on Twitter, you know the drill already. No need to explain, all my fics will do it for me 💙🖤 "we were supposed to save each other"/found you through a dream/invisible string/my reason to live all in one??? Got me in a chokehold since the pilot and is keeping me there for four years straight. The loves of my life. Can shake hands with Joel and Ellie because they took "if you're lost in the darkness, look for the light" literally. BOTH LOST IN THE DARKNESS, IN HER CASE LITERAL AS WELL AS FIGURATIVE. BROUGHT LIGHT TO EACH OTHER'S LIVES. SAVED EACH OTHER FROM ROCK BOTTOM. YOU CAN'T GO BETTER THAN THAT.
I'm sure there's more but these are the closest to my heart right now. Hope that'll help fill the void!

Season 10, Episode 17: Inside Man
Huh.
Bobby?
Ooh, that's an interesting idea
Is Dean okay?
Oh no... Dean...
You've gotta wake him up, Sam
Or maybe not
Riiight
Sounds like fun
What kind of movie?
What.
Dad mode
That was weird
I mean, I know what Sam is doing, but. Weird.
I mean, yeah, but I also think he's actually doing better than he was before the demon thing. Like, it reset him or something.
Alright then
Weird
Yikes
Rowena, don't be coy
This is a trainwreck of a conversation
Huh.
Dean...
Dean. That's nasty
That's a bold-faced lie
This entire episode is a trainwreck, actually
I should've known by the weird looks on their faces
And maybe with Sam not there
Cas, not again
Cas.
This is great
No, he's got an idea
THE BLATANT CAMERA VIEW ON THE SURFACE LOGO 😭 how much did Microsoft pay them for that 😭😭😭
(not to diss the Surface, I'm watching on one right now)
I'm so confused
Eugh he's using Windows 8, I can't watch
Close enough for her
He knows the bartender by name. I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing
Oh, Dean
I don't like him
Oh, Dean's gonna have fun
This'll be great
So then what happened?
Mm...
Cas, no
Spooky
So I looked up this guy's IMDb because I thought I recognized his face (I do not) and it turns out he was the donkey guy on My Little Pony. Weird.
An Angel of the Lord
IM AN ATHEIST
Fair
This is so whack
HE CALLED METATRON A HOBBIT
Bad idea, dudes
Yikes
I can't wait for the payoff
Oh, they're gonna crash and burn
Dean, don't be mean
And there he goes. That was kinda terrifying to watch the switch
Aw, his hat!
This is familiar
He took the jacket off 😂 this is so much fun to watch
Aw, Dean, don't take the watch
Oh great
Dean...
Maybe he shouldn't wear that shirt anymore (though it kills me to say it)
Yeah, I bet
You could say that
Uh...
That's a tall order
I remember that
Great question
Yeah. Classics
1. There's nobody better and b. You're in heaven. There's gotta be a way around that
Um.
Uh oh
Fair
Ouch
Probably that same spell as last time
Oh, Dean...
This is not good
That sounds like something related to Gaelic
The Mark has many benefits
Dean, be careful
Oh right, they don't know that part
Unfortunately
She's really annoying
Huh. It's like a lever
Death can't stop the Winchesters from spreading their crap
Spooky
Uh oh, you better run
That did not go well for her
Oh, she did not
I mean. Crowley would know that if someone was trying to kill Dean Winchester, they'd be lucky to walk out alive. So obviously something is fishy here
Hehehe
By what?
Huh. Uneasy ally
Of course he does
See? Crowley knows what's up
Uh huh...
What makes you think he isn't?
Oh boy
If anyone can, it's Bobby
Hah! Good idea
Heaven revolt
This is interesting
THE BOBBYS ARE FIGHTING BACK
THE BOBBYS ARE SURLY
The answer to the question of life the universe and everything!!!!!!! I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE
Run Forrest, run!
Hi, Cas
He's in Lebanon
Yup
Exactly
I'm sorry. I know that it makes sense, but the fact that Crowley is more willing to listen to Dean than Rowena speaks volumes.
Ouch
But there's hope
The little pitchfork in the drink 😂
She's not wrong
Now it's just a domestic disagreement
Me neither
He's not even 40 😂
Then again, Bobby died at 62... and just must've been somewhere around the same age, if younger. And we know Dean dies at forty... so I guess he's not entirely wrong
FAMILY DONT END IN BLOOD, BUT IT DOESNT START THERE EITHER
Speaking of Bobby...
And Dean's family is doing exactly that right now
I wanna punch that smirk off his face
Lame
That can be arranged
Fun times
Oh, please
Rgh, he gets on every single one of my nerves
Absolutely not
Oh. That's a bold move
Yes!
I love them so much
Death-level
That sounds like him
Hmm.
Hehehe
Surprisingly
Probably not
HES BACK
Alright then
Yeah...
Yeah, I bet
The toothbrush 😭
Huh
Yeah...
Dean's done the same before
Good advice
Aww
Awww

Everyone needs giftwrap, Cas
Little interlude-slash-setup for the overarching fic idea for - "And he wore SLIPPERS, Sam!" - a Dean embarrasses Jack fic
NOTE: The post office lady is named Marta, but I actually prefer her script name, Darlene. So you can overlook that if you like accuracy.
On Tuesday, Dean's fill-in trip to the Lebanon post office takes an unusual turn.
Darlene, usually thrilled to chat (and flirt) with Dean, looks troubled. She fiddles with her granny glasses and plays with her hair so hard that she unwinds a few strands from her tight, brunette bun.
"Hey, Darlene! Long time no see. How's that grandson Thomas of yours doin'? Still smokin' everyone on the 400 yard dash?"
"Oh, Dean," she says with forced enthusiasm. "Filling in for Sam this week?"
"Yup! Sam's out of town, so. Here I am!" He makes a little ta-dah! pose, hoping to lift her spirits. While she tends to harbor an irrational disdain for Sam, Dean can keep her on a baited hook with nothin' more than a wink, smile, and a few well-placed hand squeezes.
Guess it's not a coquettish kinda Tuesday for Darlene.
She smiles weakly as he ducks over and checks their P.O. box. Taking their few envelopes in hand and stuffing them in his jacket pocket, and gives her a jaunty wave before heading for the door. "Dean, wait," she calls, shifting uneasily.
That sounds weird. Bad weird.
"I, uh, not to be stepping in your business, but you're Jack's dad, right? Jack Kline?"
Instantly, Dean's on high alert. Darlene shouldn't know that name.
His mind races from scenario to scenario--from mind control, bewitchment, to shifter doppelganger switcheroos. He's got a blade on his ankle, and of course, Cas is in the car if it goes to real shit.
Dean doesn't answer her question.
"How d'you know Jack?"
She pulls out her phone and stabs at it, old-lady style in that way that Sam hate, like she doesn't know that pressing the screen harder won't make it go faster.
"I, uh, I've taken to secretly monitoring my grandson's Instagram," she explains. "There's a video."
Oh, Dean's got a bad feeling about this.
Darlene rounds the counter and shuffles over to where Dean's hovering just in front of the glass front doors.
"I think it's your Jack."
She shoves her phone in Dean's face, and he has no choice but to take it. It's a shaky video of a large group of raggedy-looking young people laughing together. Not to judge, but they look like a rough crowd (and Dean's technically from a rough crowd himself).
Dean spies beer bottles, cigarettes, and iphones waving in the air. But what's most concerning is, in between shaky blurs of trees and rocks, Dean makes out what looks like the edge of a cliff.
Oh, you've got to be kidding me.
The kids are egging each other on, to jump off the damn Lion King rock.
For crying out loud. First it's Tide Pods. Now, kids are jumping off cliffs to get social media views.
There's one blonde dumbass who blindfolds himself and does a backflip off the ledge.
Oh, shit.
That's Jack.
Dean's heart seizes up and Darlene tuts as she sees the look of recognition seep into his eyes.
"I thought so," she says sadly. "Did you know this is a rough crowd?"
It looks it.
"I heard my grandson and his friend Bea talking about it, too. Jack was okay, but I don't like how they keep goading him to do dangerous things. It's something of a past-time for the group."
What? What group?
Dean tries to make his brain work.
Number one, it's not hygienic. Dean is pretty sure this particular waterhole had been tagged as a SuperFund in the late 70s. (They'll be lucky if Jack doesn't sprout horns or mutant toe webbing in the next several days.)
Number two, Jack is practically human now, and doing a backflip off a cliff for a gaggle of teenaged dumbasses is just about the dumbest thing he could do.
The only stupider thing is point number three, which is recording said jump for the whole civilian and Supernatural world to see on the god-damned internet.
Jack knows he's been hunted since he was born.
Cas could see Sister Jo over a video feed, after all, and so Dean and Sam had made sure to hammer it into his head to never be recorded, must less posted on fucking Instagram.
God, Dean hoped he was human enough for it not to show.
God, please.
"I'm going to kill him," he whispers.
Darlene flutters her lashes at him and pets his elbow closest to her.
"I know how hard parenting can be, especially as a single parent. I've had to discipline my son and my grandson, countless times, just to keep them alive."
Oh, Lady. You don't know the half of it.
Darlene wants to be the December to his May, and in this moment, she's bartering her parenting skills.
Dean slowly tracks his eyes back to the horrifying iPhone video, and then Darlene is grabbing Dean's elbow and moving him out of the way of the door. The little ornament at the top ding-a-lings.
"Oh, goodness me! We're blocking the entrance. Excuse us!"
Dean feels the prickle of awareness before he turns around and meets Cas's concerned frown.
Whelp. There he is. Dean figures he was taking too long, and the thing with Darlene probably looks like a confrontation all the way over from the car.
Dean doesn’t waste a second before shoving Darlene’s iPhone video into Cas’s face.
“Good, you're here. Would you get a load of this shit?”
Dean’s not screeching. He’s really not.
He sounds maybe a little aggressive and maybe a little spun out, but overall, it’s a completely respectable response to seeing your recently powered-down, half-human hybrid foster kid do a backflip off a damn cliff.
I mean, good on Jack for being cool for once (booz, hot chicks, weed, etc.), but Dean draws the line at friggin’ cliff-jumping.
Cas immediately recognizes that it’s Jack in the video. He dislodges the phone from Dean’s grips and hums as he scrubs the timeline back and forth.
And he just keeps right on hm-ing, like he wants to keep 'em in an ungodly amount of suspense. After a beat, Dean bristles some more, “Well?”
He feels Darlene nudge in closer behind him, like she’s not sure what to make of Cas. Dean throws a backwards glance and sees her mouth set in a firm line.
Cas wets his lips and looks up guiltily through his lashes, like he maybe doesn’t think this is as big a deal as Dean does.
“We’re lucky. He’s safe. His nature is hidden, even from digital view.” With that, he pockets Darlene’s phone and makes to exit. “But we should talk with him. Let’s go.”
For her part, Darlene makes a strangled noise and rushes forward. “Wait! That’s my phone!”
Cas blinks, like he’s noticing Darlene for the first time. She puffs out her chest, and the ruffles on her cream-colored blouse flutter in the air conditioning.
On Cas’s impassive gaze, she overreacts. Her eyes trail up and down like she’s sizing him up. “I’ll call the police if you don’t give it back,” she warns.
“Oh?” Cas says, eyes shifting to Dean and back. “Apologies. I thought the phone was one of yours, Dean.”
“W-work phones. I got a lot of em,” Dean murmurs to Darlene under his breath, hoping the flippant explanation makes it sound less…criminal.
“And no, no. Phone belongs to Darlene here. Uh,” he clears his throat. “Darlene Dickerson. Darlene? This is Castiel. Cas? Darlene.”
She still doesn’t look too happy with him, so Dean grapples for better words.
“Cas is a friend. He wouldn’t steal your phone.”
She hmmphs. Peachy. Looks like Darlene is set to hate Cas as much or maybe even more than she hates Sam. After another few moments of stony silence, Dean reaches into Cas’s coat pocket and fishes her phone out. “Jeez, move it along. Here ya go, Darlene. Guy’s got deep pockets, you know? Ehehe.”
It’s not even a good joke.
But it’s something to break up the tension.
Darlene yanks her phone from Dean’s fingers and sneers, eyes trailing over Cas’s raggedy coat.
“Well, he doesn’t look like he has deep pockets,” she coos under her breath, rude.
Oh, she really doesn’t like him.
“Darlene Dickerson,” Cas says, squinting at her like he’s trying to puzzle something out. “I recognize your name.”
“Yeah, she sends us Christmas cards and we sponsor her grandson Thomas in the Fun Run every year,” Dean explains, in a hurry to move this along. “She’s worked here as long as we’ve been here.”
“Ah,” Cas murmurs quietly. “I remember now. I’ve heard Sam complaining about her.” The comment is meant for Dean, but it’s loud enough that Darlene overhears, and her nose wrinkles in displeasure.
At this rate, Cas is going to stay on her bad side forever.
While it’s totally hilarious that she hates Sam, Dean doesn’t really want her to hate Cas. For some reason. He tries to smooth it over.
“Sam didn’t say anything bad about you, Darlene. He was just uhm.”
At this point, Cas seems to clue in to his social faux paus.
“Oh. Of course. Sam didn’t say anything bad,” he fumbles to add, nodding to Darlene. “He’s simply jealous that you like Dean better than him.”
Not bad, Dean thinks. That one’s not even a lie.
Dean paints on his best Prince Charming smile and blasts it at Darlene. “You know Sam,” he chuckles. “He likes attention, but he doesn’t wanna do the bare minimum to get to know lovely ladies such as yourself.”
Darlene slips on a tight smile and throws Cas another wary glance.
“That’s true,” she says to Dean, frowning.
Maybe he'd laid it on a little thick. “I figure Sam puts his head down and barely says hi when he comes in. Sound about right?”
At Dean's estimation, Cas quirks his trademark smile—a crooked, sidewinding thing that usually works pretty decently on women. It seems to help Darlene settle.
“Dean's right. Sam can be very preoccupied, yes. He shouldn’t, because you seem very pleasant to talk with.”
To Dean’s relief, Darlene preens a little bit, hand drifting up to tuck a stray lock of hair behind her ear.
“Well,” she huffs. “I try to be.”
Dean clears his throat and crowds closer to Cas, nudging him with his elbow for effect.
“Darlene here monitors her grandson Thomas’s social media accounts. She’s the one who clued me into the vid I showed you.”
“Oh,” Cas says, exaggerating his surprise like Dean had taught him to do, for politeness’s sake. “We’re very lucky to have you looking out for Jack.”
Darlene smooths a dainty hand down her blouse. Maybe it’s the air conditioning, but Dean notices she’s a little bit cold. Or she needs a better bra. Those nipples could poke somebody's eye out.
“I’m very Instagram-savvy,” she brags. She assesses Cas again, eyes shrewd. “Not to be nosey, Castiel, but you two got quite the resemblance. You and Jack, I mean.”
Oh. Crap. Darlene ain’t got much of a filter.
Before Cas can belt out something that’s entirely weird and entirely too honest about Jack’s origins, Dean beats him to the punch.
“Cas is Jack’s dad-dad,” he explains proudly, like that’ll settle everything.
Darlene’s eyebrows shoot up on her forehead.
“Oh.”
As if Dean’s claim requires proof, Cas scrambles to hold up his own phone and thumbs it to show the lock screen. (It’s a photo of Jack grinning cheekily at the camera.)
“I thought Jack was your son, Dean,” she accuses gently. “That’s what Thomas told me, anyway.”
“It’s a bit of a group project,” Dean coughs, trying to work out a cover story that doesn’t make them sound like a freaky religious cult.
“I’m a friend of the family,” Cas explains, borrowing a phrase from Mary. “Jack and I moved here permanently almost two years ago, but I can’t always be here…due to work.”
“Yeah,” Dean tacks on, “And we give Jack, you know. Stability. Boundaries. Here, I mean. We got a, uh, extended family situation.”
“Lebanon is a nice, quiet place to raise a troubled teen,” Darlene agrees. “Our family’s like that, too. We stick together. You know what they say…”
Cas tilts his head. “No. What do they say?”
Darlene clears her through, like she’s about to deliver Dalai-Lama level wisdom.
“It’s cliché, but it’s true: It takes a village to raise a child properly. Especially with how social media is these days. Kids get up to worse and worse, I swear.”
“I like that. It takes a village,” Cas says softly, like he’s never heard the phrase before. Maybe he hasn't. His eyes glimmer as he looks on Darlene with renewed gratitude.
“So,” Dean coughs, breaking up the moment, “So, could you tell us how to get to that video? We’re gonna need to, you know, do the discipline thing later. I guess.”
Cas holds up his phone, “You could ‘Share the Link’ via text if that’s easier.”
Hell. Dean doesn’t particularly want Darlene to have Cas’s number.
“Well, I’d prefer to send the link to Dean,” she complains with a mischievous smile, fluttering her lashes in a way that reminds Dean of Rowena.
“I can add you to a group chat with Dean and myself,” Cas offers. “For emergencies.”
And he does it before Dean can even stop him.
Dammit, Cas. Dean’s smile has a hard time not transforming itself into a grimace. Thanks for giving my number to the thirstiest GILF-wannabe in Lebanon, I guess.
“Thanks so much,” Darlene gushes, staring at her phone like she’s just won the lottery. She mashes her fingers against her own screen for a minute or two. “And here’s the link. Did you get it, Castiel?”
“I got it.”
“Do you know much about Instagram, Castiel?”
“Actually, I’m not very good with technology. Dean has an account, though. He’ll be able to follow your link.”
Dammit, Cas.
“Oh.” Darlene’s eyes are liquid and large as they flick over to Dean. “So you have an Instagram. Why, I’d love to follow you, Dean.”
“It’s uh,” Dean coughs again. “It’s just a private account. I don’t post anything.” Which, of course he doesn’t. He’s on too many criminal watch lists.
“Well, I’m LittleQueenDarlene57. Feel free to connect. I’m very active in the school PTO and over at Lebanon United Methodist. My spy account is the one I linked you from, though. That one’s top secret.”
She winks.
Dean blinks.
“Wait. You’re not catfishing your grandson, are you?”
Darlene titters. “Oh, I don’t target him. It’s just a sort of character I play to go under the radar with the kids.”
That’s a little disturbing, Dean thinks.
But also kinda. You know.
Genius.
“Don’t be too hard on Jack,” Darlene says now, moving closer to Cas and petting him sympathetically on the arm. “Most boys go through things like this—doing dangerous things to try and impress their friends.”
Cas gives her his little smile again.
“That would be very hypocritical of me.”
Despite how rocky this had started out, Darlene definitely likes Cas now. Dean rolls his eyes. “Okay, Casanova, I think Darlene’s had just about enough of you.”
She hasn’t. She squeezes Cas’s arm.
“Wait, before you go… Would you like to buy something from my grandson’s fundraiser? He’s selling giftwrap for his baseball team.”
“Why would I need—?”
“Everyone needs giftwrap,” she interrupts, striding across the room to her work station. She withdraws a glossy Charleston Wrap catalogue from behind the counter and practically skips back over to Cas.
Cas looks at a complete loss when she plops it into his hands, and the look he gives Dean is the priceless, deer-in-headlights kind.
“Uh. Dean?”
Dean thinks, You brought this on yourself, Buddy.
Darlene goes into full saleswoman mode: “This brand of gift wrap is the best I’ve ever had, to he honest. It folds and creases perfectly, and all of it’s double-sided.”
“I prefer using gift bags,” Cas says neutrally, inching towards the door.
“We can get you that, and there's tissue paper, too! Why, there’s a whole set on page 13,” she trills.
Cas swallows and looks helplessly to Dean again.
“But just so you know, my great niece runs a gift wrap service in November of every year. So, we can go ahead and order you some gift wrap, and then if you get overwhelmed trying to figure out wrapping, you can just drop me a text. Lacy’s hourly rates are very reasonable, and she doesn’t even charge extra for bows. She uses the real nice, wire ribbon, so the bows are to die for!”
“Hear that, Cas?” Dean laughs. “She doesn’t even charge extra for bows.”
It must come out a little too sarcastic, because the look Darlene sends his way is just shy withering.
After a solid five minutes, in which Darlene hardly breaks to take in air, Cas agrees to spend well over $150, and Dean about pees his pants trying not to laugh.
He has to bite his tongue on the prices, because on the one hand, yeah this is highway robbery. On the other, it's criminal money, so they sort of cancel each other out.
Besides, Cas’s terrified face is pure gold, and Dean’s gonna get to hold this over his head for ages.
Darlene talks Cas into a gift bag package, three colors of tissue paper, and two rolls of gift wrap (one pattern features Rudolph ice skating, and the other pattern features a "Christmas Zoo Safari"). From the accessories section, Cas selects four gray-and-red Tartan scarves, a Nordic snowflakes Pom-beanie hat, and a red snowflakes pom-beanie. For Claire,“ he explains hastily. "I can’t leave her out, Dean.”
Dean can see Darlene itching to ask about Claire, so he clears his throat to move things along. “Yeah, I’d say you got everyone covered,” he says, schooling his face and holding in a laugh.
Cas shoots him a glare, like it’s Dean’s fault for not rescuing him from this situation. Which. It kind of is.
“Don’t look at me,” Dean says. “I already sponsored the Fun Run, so it’s your turn.”
As Darlene tallies up the overpriced gifts, Cas fishes some bills from his pocket: a crumpled hundred-dollar, a fifty, and a ten from his wallet. Darlene jots down the item numbers, and then she asks for Cas's full name and address.
“Just put it all under Dean Campbell,” Dean says, rescuing him at last. “I’ll just pick it up here when it comes in. Or Sam can do it.”
Cas looks relieved, gives Darlene a stiff nod, and after the transaction is complete, they make to leave.
“It was nice meeting you, Darlene,” he says, perfunctory and obviously eager to be out of the building. He doesn’t wait for her reply before he’s out the door.
Hehe, coward.
She doesn’t seem to mind his abruptness. Instead, she actually giggles as she watches him stride to the car. She looks back to Dean.
“Well. He was a good sport about that,” she breathes, grinning big.
Dean rolls his eyes.
“Yeah, yeah. Him and his deep pockets, right? I think he’d have bought more from ya if you'd made to the food section. Pret-ty calculated, Darlene. Pretty calculated.”
“Times are tough,” she sighs. “And Thomas’s team needs new uniforms.”
“Yeah, well. Guess we'll be bothering Lacy in November, too. I can't wrap for shit, and I think he'd probably rip the paper to shreds. Which would be a cryin' shame since we're springing for the fancy two-sided stuff. And thanks again,” he grabs the handle on the door, “for the Jack stuff, I mean. Uh, gotta go ground that kid now, yanno.”
Before Dean pushes out, Darlene grabs his elbow in a vice grip and yanks him back. “I like him, Dean,” she whispers, like she’s sharing something earth-shattering and very private.
Huh?
“You like him? Jack?”
“Castiel.”
Dean assesses her gleaming, rabid face and thinks, Yup. She's the thirstiest GILF-wannabe in Lebanon, and now she’s got the hots for Cas, too.
He purses his lips and rolls his eyes at the thought.
“Okay, whaddya want, Queen Darlene? Me to set you two up on a blind date or something? Cause you already have his number now—”
She huffs, then grins and shakes her head. Her gray eyes grow bigger and more serious now.
“You should bring him to Church, Dean.”
She’s never invited Dean to Church before. Something about the gravitas with which she says it feels…odd.
“Okay, sure. Yeah. Maybe.”
She breathes happily.
“I really do hope to see you both there. Bye now!”
Okay.
When Dean gets to the parking lot, he feels like he’s missed a step somewhere.

Tumblr media
"What flowers does Violet like?" Hiro asked as he began to look at flowers. Penny was smelling the carnations while Wilbur was taking pictures of the calla lilies.
"She likes-"
"Petunia Black Velvets." Wilbur said, pulling a blue rose out of a bunch. Penny and Hiro stared at him for a moment, before looking back to the flowers.
"What do those look like?" Hiro asked, before Penny shrugged.
"I don't know. I've never heard her mention those before." Penny said, before turning to Wilbur. " How did you know she liked those?" Penny asked, and Hiro couldn't deny the curiosity growing in him too.
"Well, she mentioned it while we were at the park that one time. She saw the fake Petunias in front of the water fountain. She said she liked them but the black ones were her favorite." Wilbur said, writing something on his phone.
"That was like, months ago. How do you remember that?" Penny asked with a laugh, before Wilbur shrugged.
"I don't know. Violet doesn't talk much, so when she does I sort of just remember it all." Wilbur said, and Hiro stood quiet. Unfortunately, the store didn't have any Black Petunias, so they went with the next best thing, according to Wilbur. Black Roses.
"Are you sure she's going to like this?" Hiro asked as they stepped out of the flower shop. It was around six o'clock now, and Violet was already at the movies.
"Are we giving her these when she gets out?" Penny asked, and Hiro nodded.
"Yup! Then I tell her how I feel and Brick goes away forever." Hiro said with a smile. Penny laughed and Wilbur chuckled, the three walking down the street to head towards the movies.
"Violet got there at five thirty, so the movie should be done by seven." Penny said, and Hiro nodded.
"Alright, we have an hour to kill. What are we gonna do?" Wilbur asked, before Penny pointed to the arcade up ahead.
"We can go to the arcade." Penny said, and Hiro nodded. The three walked down the block, making small talk and trying to figure out which games they wanted to play first. Penny left her bike outside, and tucked the flowers Hiro had gotten Vi into the basket at the front, wrapping it around basket.
"How many coins are we getting?" Wilbur asked before Hiro pointed to the five hundred pack.
"That's like, fifteen dollars." Penny said, before Hiro shook his head, moving them so he could stand in front of the machine. He slipped a dollar in before tapping the buttons a few times. Then, a second later, five hundred coins were put out from the machine.
"Easy." Hiro said with a grin, Penny moving her shirt out so they could put the coins in the dip of her shirt, as a makeshift holder.
" We seriously need to start bringing a bag here. My shirts are gonna stretch from all these coins." Penny said, and Wilbur laughed, grabbing a handful of coins. Penny felt her face heat up, before looking away before he could notice.
"Where are we going first?" Hiro asked, before Wilbur pointed to the large pack man game.
"We need to do that." Wilbur said, before they all began to walk over. A whole hour of games, who could ask for more?
"Dash have you seen my charger?" Violet asked, walking into the living room. There sat Helen, Bob and Dash. Jack- Jack was busy watching TV.
"No, ask dad." Dash said with an eye roll.
"Dash be nice please." Helen said with an aggravated sigh.
"I'll be nice when you guys tell her." Dash said, and Violet stopped.
"Tell me what?" She asked, picking up Jack-Jack to give him a hug. She lightly rocked him as she played with whatever toy it was he had.
" Violet, you're brother... feels he's ready to go solo." Helen said. Violet stood quiet, still rocking Jack-Jack back and forth.
"So, does that mean I'm going solo too?" Violet asked, before Bob shook his head.
"That's the thing, your mother and I, don't think you're ready yet." Bob said. Violet put Jack-Jack down,
"Why wouldn't I be ready? Why is he supposed to be ready before me?" Violet asked, now getting upset.
"Honey just hear us out. You're just not, confident enough. We don't want you to get hurt that's all." Helen explained.
"That's not fair." Violet said, not getting more agitated. "Is that why that woman was here? To talk about Dash?" Violet asked. Helen looked confused.
"What woman? No woman came for Dash." Helen said. Quietly, the two turned to Bob, who looked down at the floor.
"Uh oh." Dash said, before running to get Jack-Jack, and then running out of the living room.
"You cheated on mom?" Violet asked, and Helen's fists tightened.
"Cheat is a strong word."  Bob said, standing.
"So that's it? You're just not going to say anything?" Helen asked, and Violet stood quiet. She picked up her sweater off of the couch, before walking out, leaving her parents to argue. She was ready to just go out, her phone battery be damned.
The walk to the movies was short, and thankfully she didn't wear to high of boots. The chilly weather of the fall was welcoming and she mentally thanked herself for layering two sweaters. She pushed the doors open to the lobby of the theatre, and quickly found that long red hair. Except, he wasn't the only one. Next to Brick, was Blossom, who was his ex girlfriend. Why she was here, Violet wasn't sure. But, to be safe she hid around a corner and texted Brick.
Vi: Hey, I'm here.
In a few seconds, Brick texted back.
Brick: Oh alright, i'll meet you.
Violet felt nervous, and uneasy. Like something was wrong. But she chalked it up to the mishap with her parents a few moments ago. Stepping out from her small hiding spot, she saw Brick looking around. When his eyes landed on her, she smiled and waved and she would have felt better if his smile didn't hold so much pity.
"Listen Violet I-" Brick started, and Violet waved her hands.
"Brick it's fine. I get it. Trust me." Violet said, already knowing. She wasn't the one he wanted to see, and it was fine, because she felt the same. But that didnt mean it still didn't hurt.
"Are you sure? Boom got stood up by his girl again, so if you want you can go with him, as friends y'know." Brick said sympathetically. Violet shook her head with a smile still, even though she felt like she wanted to cry.
"I'm just gonna meet up with my friends, they're nearby so it'll be fine. But I hope you guys have a good movie." Violet said, before Brick smiled. Out of her peripheral, Violet could see Blossom walking over.
"Hi, I'm Blossom." She said, extending her hand to shake Violets. Violet smiled and shook her hand. They were soft.
"Hi, Violet. You're very pretty, I love your hair." Violet said, and Blossom smiled lightly running her fingers through it. The two look good together, Violet thought.
"Oh thank you so much, but yours is, wow." She said, her eyes widening. " It's so long and shiny, I wish mine was like that." She said laughing, and Violet nodded laughing as well.
"Your hair suits you, trust me yours is fine." Violet said, before Brick turned around to see Butch tapping his phone, reminding him of the time. "I should let you guys go. Enjoy your movie." Violet said, and Blossom smiled sadly at her, before hugging her.
"Take care of yourself please. You seem like a sweet girl, and any guy would be so lucky to have you." Blossom said in her ear, squeezing her. Violet hugged her bag, unintentionally squeezing her too.
"Thank you, I hope you two are happy, you guys deserve it y'know." Violet said, and the two pulled away with soft smiles. Brick felt his nerves ease watching Violet walk out of the movies.
Violet felt like she had been walking for hours. She didn't want to go home, she knew all she would hear would be fighting, and arguing and Jack-Jack crying. She didn't want that right now. So, she walked and walked, until she reached the boardwalk. She sat on the cement, which was a few feet above the sand, enough for her to dangle her feet.
She pulled her phone out, scrolling to Penny's contact before calling her. Ringing, ringing and more ringing. No answer. She called Hiro, no answer. She sighed and scrolled to the last person she had hope for. Wilbur. She called, and it rang. Ringing and ringing and ringing. Until he answered.
"Hello?" He asked, and Violet sighed.
"H-hey. Are you busy?" She asked, and she heard shuffling on the other end.
"Not really. Just watching Pennys bike real quick. Why?" Wilbur asked, before Violet looked out to the ocean ahead of her.
" Do you think we could meet up? A lot happened." Violet said sadly, before Wilbur let out a 'hm'
"You're lucky I'm a man with enough time on his hands. I'll be there in two minutes. Where are you?" Wilbur asked, and Violet heard more shuffling on his end.
"By the boardwalk, near the sand."Violet said, before Wilbur chuckled.
"You're not far. I'll be there quick, promise." He said, and Violet smiled and said 'mhm' before hanging up. She sat for a bit, waiting, and just letting her thoughts run.
She wasn't sure how to feel. She knew she didn't like Brick. But she did feel some hurt knowing she had been, basically a rebound. But, she had been hearing Penny drop hints about Hiro liking her, which she also wasn't sure how to feel about. Then, then there was Wilbur.
She definitely didn't like him. Not one bit. They made fun of each other most of the time. She'd comment about his hair, how weird it sat in his head and how odd it was it stood so perfect during the day. She'd talk about how much he wouldn't stop talking about space and the stars and how he loved science so much. She'd get annoyed when he would tease her for liking english class so much because quote " who willingly likes english class?"
Violet didn't like a lot of things about him. So she could never understand why she always let herself down around him. She would talk, he would listen. She would ramble and go on a rant about whatever it was she did, and he'd agree, if he felt he needed too. Just to get it all out of her, sometimes he'd challenge her.
Violet could think of a million reasons why she couldn't like Wilbur Robinson. But the more she thought about why she couldn't, the more she realized, she did.
"Hey Vi." Man of the hour.
"Hey." She said quietly, hiding behind her hair. Her nerves were all over the place. Wilbur rested the bike on the wall, before jumping up and swinging his legs over, scooting over just enough to sit next to her.
"So, how'd the movies go? It's like, six forty five, why are you here?" Wilbur asked, before Violet just looked down.
"I got there and Brick was with his ex girlfriend Blossom. She's really pretty, like, really really pretty. I kinda knew he wasn't really liking me." Violet said, before Wilbur nodded in understanding.
"I feel like there's more." He said quietly, trying to see her face better.
"Kind of. But you cant tell anyone." She said, shifting to face him. Wilbur stared at her for a second, before fixing her hair behind her ear.
"I promise I won't tell anyone." He said smiling, before she laughed.
"Okay, well." She started, before taking a deep breath. " You know how, I'm a super and all." She said, and he nodded. " Dash wants to go solo." Violet said, and Wilbur's eyes went wide.
"Is he allowed to do that?" He asked, before frowning. " I don't know how this super stuff works." He said, and Violet laughed.
"He can, but I didn't think he'd want to go solo so, young. But, I had asked my parents months ago if I could go solo, and they said no because they didn't think I was ready." Violet explained, and Wilbur nodded following along.
"Did they say yes to Dash?" Wilbur asked, and Violet nodded.
"Yeah, they did. So I asked my mom if the woman that had came to our house the other day was there for him, and she said no. So when we looked at my dad, he just said didn't say anything and Dash took Jack-Jack and left." Violet explained quickly, now feeling everything all over again.
"My mom got upset and they basically got into an argument over him cheating on my mom again, and they started to argue and I was just so over it." Violet explained quickly, getting up to pace around. Still, Wilbur listened.
"So, I left because I didn't want to be around that and I just thought getting the night over with would be better. But then I get to the movies and see Brick with Blossom, and I didn't really like him that much but still, it hurt y'know seeing him with another girl when he was technically my date. Then he told me he was sorry and she came over and introduced herself. I hate that I cant even be mad because she was so nice and said I was so pretty but compared to her like am I really?" Violet rambled, and Wilbur sat quietly listening intently.
"Then I walked and left them and just kind of ended up here but I needed someone to talk too because everything is too much. I called Penny but she didn't answer and then I called Hiro and he didn't answer, and thank whatever force sent you because you are helping so much right now." Violet said, finally taking in a breath of air. Wilbur sighed and hopped off the wall, walking over to Violet.
"Vi, a lot is going on right now. You need a minute." He said, placing his hands on her shoulders. She nodded and focused on her breathing, her head pounding with how much she had spoken with such little air.
" Y-yeah, I guess you're right. I just, i don't even know." She said with a sigh.
"Is there anything else?" He asked, before Violet nodded.
" Sorry, I talk a lot, but sort of. Pennys been weird lately, she keeps talking about Hero a lot, I thought at first she liked him, but now she keeps comparing him to me and I'm not sure if she's trying to I guess replace me or tell me something but it's really confusing me." Violet said, before Wilbur laughed.
"Violet seriously you can't tell?" Wilbur asked and Violet shook her head.
"No, tell what?" She asked, and Wilbur sighed.
"Vi, Hiro likes you." Wilbur said. Violets eyes went wide, and she stood back.
"... Are you serious?" She asked, and Wilbur nodded, moving back to lean against the wall.
"Yep! He got you those flowers." Wilbur said, pointing to the flowers on Pennys bike. " He didn't know which ones you liked though, and I told him you liked the Black Velvet Petunias, but they didn't have those so I said the Black Roses were the next best option. I told the florist to throw in Salvia, since I know you like purple." Wilbur said, moving over to Pennys bike to untie to bouquet from the basket. Violet stood quietly as he handed them to her.
If only it was the right guy handing her these. Maybe then she would've been happier.

Tumblr media
*Azure’s POV*
I am standing at a bar.  It goes without saying that it belongs to my father, it is very much in his style.
He is the disco type, or bar type at night.
Strangely I see him at home, if I see him he is in front of the TV watching movies and smoking. He doesn't always invite me, not because he doesn't want me but most of the time I'm in front of my computer sitting at my desk.
Today I was home alone. My mother told me to go to my father to eat. It was late, I had to go to a bar alone despite being close to home. I don't like bars, I don't like junkies, I don't like the smell of alcohol. My dad usually teases me about it, saying I don't like anything. Very funny.
Despite the reluctance, I entered. But I haven't seen my father anywhere.
I only see one person, Dan. I recognize him from the wheelchair and his beard.
I approach the counter where he was, I sit down and immediately smell the unmistakable smell of alcohol and I already hate it.
"Hello Azure." He says without looking at me, drinking his drink.
"Hi..." I reply, I can't do anything to look down as soon as I hear loud music and lots of people. It is very busy.
"What are you doing here? I've never seen you in your father's bar." He asks me, and now he's looking at me.
"Get food." I simply answer and look around. "Do you know where my father is?"
He chuckles, takes his drink and takes a sip. "You never know where he can be." He said, with his strange accent.
I frown, "He's always like that." And I leave a big breath.
Out of the corner of my eye, I see Dan looking at me. "Hey, is something going on with Phil?" He asked.
I thought I had heard wrong, no one asked me this. Everyone thinks everything is fine just because I never tell anyone and pretend.
I look at the void, my head is mixed together with the noise of screaming people and loud music. "My mother is always at work, I never see her. Phil anyway." I say looking down.
"Parents usually don't understand." He said. "They usually don't consider you, or don't care about your feelings. It hurts more than a thorn." He looks at the void.
It is true. But I didn't expect that from Dan.
"How do you know?" I ask, he looks at me. His face is lit up in pink from the light from the bar.
"Past." He simply replied.
"You're right." I replied, looking at him with a look I can't describe. "The only thing I can ask myself is..." I take a moment, open my mouth but nothing comes out. I can only look at the void but my mouth starts to let out words.
"Why does this hurt more than the emotional pain?" And I just look at the ground, without realizing what I just said.
"It's not easy, I know."  He looks at me with empathy, "But you have to fight." He smiles a little.
"Should I talk to them about it?" I ask, even if the answer was obvious. By now everyone tells me, even my friends.
"Yup." He says and turns to the counter. "Just don't take drugs for the pain you're feeling, Kiddo." He chuckles.
Cretin.
Yet I giggle too. "I never want to end up like you." I say and pull my tongue.
"Hey, that's not cute." He says and giggles again. "Hey, you should try drinking." He hands me his glass.
"I can't, Phil will kill me!" I say, widening my eyes.
"Just a sip, or you can't get food." He pouts but then giggles.
From today I will never go to my father's bar again, no matter how much my father will scold me.

Rockin' the Suburbs: Chapter 4
chp1 chp2 chp3 or read on ao3
After an afternoon of failed research attempts, Dean found himself carrying an excited Jack in his arms, walking up the sidewalk, hand in hand with Cas. Which didn't immediately send Dean's mind running wild because it honestly was starting to feel natural. Which of course is what sent Dean's mind running, but at least the act of Cas grabbing his hand wasn't the real source of the freak out anymore.
Dean's fine by the way. Totally cool and normal and under control.
"You ready?" Dean asks as they come to a stop at the back gate.
"As I'll ever be" Cas quips, giving Dean's hand a squeeze, which he gratefully returns.
"Holy shit" Dean gasps, jaw-dropping, head quickly snapping towards Cas.
"I agree completely...." Cas trails off, as he drags Dean further into the backyard.
There were people, food, drinks, tents, music blasting, and lights strung up everywhere. And a giant fire pit in the center, with crowds of people hovering around it, roasting marshmallows and hotdogs.
How many people lived in this damn neighborhood?
"So see any fugly faces?"
"If you're talking about demons, then no-"
"Well, what about that lad-"
"No she's no-"
"What about that group, those guys seem kinda-"
"No Dea-"
"Okay well, what about th-"
"Dean if I see a demon I'll be sure to let you know, promptly" Cas sighs, clearly exasperated, which only causes Dean to smile wider.
(read the rest under the cut)
"Okay.....but what abo-"
"Hi guys! Oh my god, we're so glad you decided to come!"
Their heads snap over to see Molly and Jason making their way towards them.
"Time to schmooze with the capitalists" Dean whispers to Cas, earning an elbow jack to the rib, but when he looks over, he sees amusement in Cas' eyes.
"Your home is lovely" Cas gushes when they're within earshot.
"Yeah, this is quite the rager you've got going on back here" Dean muses, earning bright smiles from the pair.
"Thank you! But Amanda's already managed to find at least ten things wrong with the decor, or the lights, or the food" Molly grumbles, as Jason gently rests his arm around her waist.
"Seriously, and Bill picked up every bottle of wine and inspected the year. As if these people aren't drunk enough to even care about the aged taste" Jason continues with an eye roll.
"Oh! Speaking of drinks what can we get you? We've got beer, wine from the wrong years, whiskey, scotch? You name it we've got it"
Shit. Dean hasn't had to talk about this with anyone outside of his family, but his dumbass should have thought about it. He is a party after all.
"Oh um..." Dean starts, but trails off realizing he didn't actually think through what he was going to say. His mouth has been doing that a lot lately.
"Oh we actually don-"Cas rushes in, giving Dean's hand a squeeze, which makes Dean's breath hitch.
Dean was floundering like an idiot and Cas cut in to help. That stupid, undiscussed swirling feeling dancing in his stomach, and he also can't help the dopey grin that spreads across his lips.
"I actually don't drink anymore, not since this little bug came around. But Cas here will definitely take a beer" Dean smiles, giving Jack a little bounce in his arms.
"Dean are you sur-"
"Yeah babe, it's good. I promise. Have a beer, you dork" Dean says turning to fully look at Cas so he gets that he means it. And he must because Cas gives a small smile back, which definitely doesn't make his stomach flip.
They turn back to the pair, praying they get the memo so Dean doesn't have to explain any further.
"Oh! So we have water, seltzer soda. We've got sprite, rootbeer-" Molly quickly moves to offer.
"A coke is good if you have it" Dean interrupts before Molly lists every single brand of soda they've got. And with a nod, Jason jogs off to get their drinks.
"Oh! Jack's probably itching to play with the rest of the kids. There's a whole section set up on the far side of a yard, keeping them far away from that fire pit! But don't worry, a handful of the parents are taking shifts" Molly rushes to add, as she points them in the right direction.
The two turn to follow her finger, Dean's eyes blowing wide at the sight. Four different size bounce houses, two jungle gyms, a huge sandbox, and pretty much every toy you can imagine. And yeah there's things definitely for toddlers, but Dean can only focus on the height of the slides and the amount of kids jumping inside that inflatable nightmare.
His hold only tightens around Jack, as he glances down hurriedly at Cas. But to his surprise Cas isn't gazing horrified at kid-sized deathtraps, he's smiling brightly, eyes shining.
Dean's gotta put his foot down. There's no way, it's too dangerous
"I don't know Jack's neve-"
"Exactly, why he should. There is more than enough equipment his size, and looks like there's plenty of kids around his age. And we both agreed it would be good for him to play with more children his own age, remember?" Cas supplies calmly, resting a hand over his shoulder. The heat radiating through Dean's jacket is doing nothing to put him at ease.
"Yeah but that fire-"
"Is perfectly safe. See, there's at least six parents over there right now. We can even take a shift watching the kids soon if you'd like?" Cas offers in the same tone, eyes shining with sincerity. And Dean manages to pull his gaze away long enough to glance over at the kids' party zone again.
There's a sort of gate squared off in the corner of the yard, with a large and small bouncy house, and what looks like a group of parents watching every move intently.
Cas is right. Jack will be fine. Of course, he will be. And if he's not, they'll just kill whoever's responsible. Stupid angels and their stupid sound logic.
"Alright, you're right" Dean sighs in defeat, as he gears up to walk across the yard. Besides Dean can probably use this as a chance to talk to some of the other paren-
And it happens so fast Dean almost misses it.
But he sure as hell feels it.
There's a heat on his cheek that quickly comes and goes, but there's a lingering warmth that blossoms in its place, spreading across his entire face and down his neck. Lighting shooting through his veins with a jolt, and of course that swirling feeling is back.
What the hell?
Dean's slowly turns towards the source and sees Cas smiling up at him. There's a nervousness dancing behind his features, the kind that's only visible to the trained eye. His hand his still on his shoulder, but he's closer now-wait.
Dean's entire brain short circuits as it works to catch up with the rest of his body, most importantly with his face and that whole lightning thing going on.
Then his brain finally snaps back into action, sending his stomach flipping, that swirling thing looping right along with it.
Because Cas kissed him.
Cas kissed him. On the cheek. Like it was nothing.
And the culprit refocuses in his vision, still smiling up at him anxiously, blue eyes searching his features. And Dean without even thinking, smiles back, which seems to settle Cas.
"I'm very proud of you for making the mature fatherly decision, now go! I'm sure Jack's dying for a turn on that bouncy thing" Cas teases, shoving Dean away, and he vaguely hears Molly giggling behind him. Dean doesn't even have time to process what he said before he's walking across the grass.
Actually, Dean isn't processing anything at the moment.
Because Cas just kissed him on the cheek like it was nothing, and Dean's face is on fire while his heart does its damnedest to pound its way out of his chest. Because now Dean Winchester is having a flustered meltdown over a friggin kiss on the cheek like he's thirteen again?
But it was more than that. Because he sure as hell didn't think Cas would go for it first so what i-
Dean almost stalls, but quickly forces his feet to keep moving as his stomach twists.
Because that feeling, the feeling Dean doesn't talk about is swirling in his stomach, bubbling upwards, trying t-nope.
Dean clenches the hand, that isn't currently supporting Jack, into a fist, nails digging into his palm. It was just a peck on the cheek it didn't mean shit. They had talked all about PDA, and both agreed to it, so that's all it was. It was a kiss for the sake of the case, all for the act.
So Dean tries to shove it from his mind, but failing to get rid of the warmth still radiating through his body and the tingling on his cheek. But hey, he isn't perfect.
He thankfully makes it over to the kid's section in one piece, but unfortunately, an over-excited mom immediately spots him.
"Hi I'm Maria, I don't recognize you, so must be one of our new neighbors!" Maria practically cheers, and Dean doesn't buy her false enthusiasm for a second, but he plasters a smile on his face ready to play the part.
"Yeah I'm-"
"I spotted you and your husband carrying boxes in yesterday! Didn't look like you had very much hmm?" Maria continues as if she hadn't heard him. And Dean didn't miss that little dig and he definitely didn't miss the way she emphasized husband.
"Yup that's me, Dean Richardson, and this is my son Jack" Dean says before she has a chance to cut him off again.
"Pleasure to meet you two! Now I assure you Jack is in good hands, you've got some of the best parents on duty right now!" Maria jokes and Dean has a feeling she's a little tipsy, which only increases his nerves. At least there's some other capable-looking parents standing around.
Maria continues to chatter loudly about god knows what, so he ignores her opting to carefully stand Jack on the ground, crouching to his level.
"Alright Squish, you're gonna hang out over here and have some fun with the rest of the kids! Me and your Dad are going to be right over there" Dean says excitedly, which only makes Jack even more excited.
"So if you need us, you tell one of the other grown-ups, and we'll come right over. And remember the rules kiddo? No mojo, capiche?" Dean reminds, whispering the last part.
"Capeesh!" Jack promises and Dean can't help but smile. So reluctantly, he presses a kiss to Jack's hair, and gently nudges him towards the other kids, watching as he runs away laughing.
"He's such a little cutie! Oh look he's playing with my Ella" Maria gushes while Dean silently prays Jack will drop that kid so he doesn't have to Maria and her false sweetness, ever again.
"Yeah, adorable. Anyway, my husband and I will gladly take a shift watching the little rugrats a-"Dean starts trying his best to sound like he doesn't want to strangle her.
"Oh no I wouldn't dream of it! It's your first party in the neighborhood, we have more than enough capable parents on duty tonight! Get back to your husband, drink, mingle!" Maria interrupts shoving him away, and Dean has no choice but to obey, unless he wanted to cause a scene. Which he did want to, because he was practically fuming from that subtle dig at capabilities at a parent, but he couldn't he had the damn case to think about.
And with a final glance to assure Jack was okay, Dean quickly surveys the crowd, easily spotting Cas' leather. He begins to make his way over, but suddenly the memories from five minutes ago come rushing back leaving him frozen.
Cas had kissed him-yeah it was on the cheek, but it was a kiss nonetheless. And that stupid swirling feeling began to bubble up in his stomach, unable to move as the-
"Dean, over here man!" Jason calls from across the yard, effectively kicking Dean's back into gear, as he made his way over to them.
Stuff it Winchester, focus on the case. It's all for the case.
So Dean jogs, over stopping next to Cas, who was lightly laughing along with Jason and Molly. Jason hands him a bottle, an honest-to-god glass bottle of Coke. They probably had to buy hundreds of these, must have cost a fortune.
"Is Jack all settled?" Cas asks, the slight worry on his face. And so without thinking, Dean takes his hand giving it a gentle squeeze.
"Yeah babe, kiddo is having the time of his life over there," Dean says with a sweet smile, pet name rolling off his tongue like nothing as he meets his eyes. Cas only responds with a smug smirk that says "I told you so", which definitely didn't make Dean's stomach flip.
"So, new neighbors let's get the good gossip out of the way before the bitch squad corners us. Tell us about yourselves! What do you guys do for a living?" Molly teases, effectively snapping them out of their staring contest.
Showtime
"Well I'm a mechanic, still looking for a good space in the area to set up shop, but Cas here is all set with a position at Amherst College in the sprin-" Dean begins, gushing about Cas like a proud husband.
"Dean, of course, is wildly underselling himself. He specializes in classic car restoration" Cas cuts in also like a proud husband, but there's a hint of sincerity in his voice that twists Dean's heart.
"Wow! So that gorgeous Impala really is your's after all?" Molly asks in awe.
"Yeah that's my Baby, rebuilt her after a crash a while back, she's been in the family for years" Dean shrugs, hand instinctively reaching for the back of his neck, but he can't help the little sense of pride that swells in his chest. He feels Cas squeeze his hand, but before he can glance over Jason starts talking.
"And Cas, Amherst that's impressive! What course do you teach?"
"English literature, and global history" Cas answers. They decided to tack on the history on account of Cas knowing pretty much all of history, and that it might be an in seeing as weirdo rich people are often weirdo history buffs.
"Oh I actually teach history over at the high school" Jason reveals, and Dean has to hold back a laugh.
Weirdo rich people, weirdo history buffs. Score.
"Well looks like we're surrounded by academics! Amherst, an incredible school, but that's a bit of a commute from here, isn't it?
"Oh it's not too bad, and the drive is all worth it if we get to live in this beautiful neighborhood. But what about you, Molly?" Cas deflects smoothly shooting them a charming smile-that Dean definitely didn't find charming.
"Oh, I'm a real estate lawyer. That's how we're in this gorgeous neighborhood" Molly jokes, Jason laughing along.
Real estate law, Dean tucks away that info for later because maybe that's how they got their house on the market and sold so quickly.
"Hey everyone, sorry to interrupt but we just wanted to introduce ourselves to the new neighbors," A shorter man says as he appears on the other side of Cas, with another man in tow.
"Oh come join the real party, anything to stay away from those vultures" Molly snorts with an eye roll, earning a laugh from everyone.
"I'm Tom, and this is my husband Stephen" The man, Tom, supplies as they each stretch out a hand. Dean reluctantly lets go of Cas' hand, and as they each shake their's, exchanging greetings.
Turns out Tom and Stephen live right across the street from them. Great, they're gonna have to get in extra good with them, because they might have seen something the night of the murders.
"So, we were giving these two the rundown on our lives, before Amanda and Bill start circling" Molly groans, and Tom and Stephen launch into discussing what they do for a living. Dean, of course, listens very intently, as he tries not to think about the sudden loss of warmth in his hand.
But he really doesn't have to think too long because he finds Cas' arm is curling around friggin waist.
Dean's eyes instantly snap up, as he tries to keep his expressions in check, but he can feel the heat creeping over his cheeks. Cas only gives him a nervous look, which makes Dean's chest tighten at the sight. Damnit.
Because yeah Cas keeps taking the lead, but he's never actually done this before, he's just doing what he thinks he should do. Cas must be anxious as fuck. And Dean's general "lets never talk about emotion or affection" attitude, probably isn't helping. He's the one who knows what to do, he should be helping ease Cas into this more, not having breakdowns every time they make eye contact.
So without really thinking, Dean slightly leans into Cas, causing him to wrap his arm around him tighter. It clearly settles Cas' nerves, because that worried look is gone, replaced with a smile, before he turns his head back to the conversation.
And Dean figures since Cas is listening, it's okay to tap out for a moment. Because excuse him, but Cas' arm is around his fucking waist, not even 20 minutes after he kissed him. Dean's just surprised he isn't passed out on the ground yet.
And that feeling-the feeling Dean of course doesn't talk-about is back and swirling around his stomach, threatening to bubble up his throat. It's making him feel nauseous, as his heart thumps against his chest.
But he can't exactly bring himself to care because there's a warmth washing over his body in waves. The heat of Cas' arm around his waist and shoulder resting against his own, radiates through his jacket. Dean can smell the worn leather mixing with Cas' cologne as he tries to focus back in on the conversation-what is he doing.
He's supposed to be getting info about the neighbors, and all he can think about is Cas' arm around his waist. Which is only there to keep up the act, and it doesn't matter that it fee-nope not even gonna go there.
Focus Winchester.
"-but enough about work, how did you two meet?" Dean catches Molly asking, and thank god he chose that moment to pull it together.
So Dean quickly meets Cas' eye. Both knowing they have to nail this part if they plan to gain anyone's trust. They hadn't exactly rehearsed it, but they are best friends who've spent over a decade lying for a living. They've got this.
Dean takes a steadying breath, ignoring the swirling and the warmth and the heart rate.
"Well, it was back in 2008. I was sort of going through a bit of a rough patch at work and was frequenting the local bar a bit too much. But maybe the hangovers were worth it, because one night this guy with wild hair and baby blues strolled in and happened to sit at the other end of the bar. And just my luck he looked about just as much of a mess as I did-no offense babe" Dean began putting on a show, and Cas rolled his eyes.
"Oh please, you didn't look half the mess that I did" Cas teases dramatically. Cas then gave him a look, leveling Dean with an arched eyebrow, causing laughter to bubble around them.
"Yeah yeah Casanova, we both looked a wreck okay? So much of a wreck that we apparently felt so sorry for each other, that we unknowingly bought one another a drink"
"After the bartender pointed out who bought me the beer, I looked up to see it was the person I had just bought a drink. So I figured he was worth a little conversation, and I moved to sit on the stool next to him" Cas continues, throwing a wink at Dean.
Damn they were good at this.
"And it turned out we were both walking disasters. I was out of a job, and Cas here had just gone through the world's worst breakup-"
"We had been together for years, and I had decided I'd had it. It was a mess, his whole family got involved. But I guess it was a good thing it was such a disaster, or I never would have gotten a drink from the gorgeous man at the end of the bar" Cas cuts back in, which definitely didn't make Dean's cheeks flare.
"Anyway, we got to talking, probably overshared way too much with a complete stranger, and called it a night. But I thought I'd be crazy to let him get away, so I practically chased him down on the street to get his number. And god was I lucky he didn't think I was a creep-"
"Actually I thought it was very romantic. Like a movie, too bad it wasn't raining. But honestly, I was just lucky he didn't think I was a creep when I called to ask him on a date the next morning" Cas jokes, earning another laugh from the group. Dean quickly surveys their faces to see that they're hooked. Time for the grande finale.
"And really the rest is history, we just sorta clicked. It sounds like bullshit, but it was like we were made for each other ya know? Cas just always knew what to say, always knew what to do to, understands me better than anyone else, helps me through every obstacle. I guess you could say he basically pulled me out of hell. And he still does, every day. There's no one else in the world I'd rather have by my side" Dean gushes, tacking on the hell line as a joke, but it didn't exactly sound like one. No, it sounded like the most sincere thing Dean's ever said, and he quickly realizes that it's not part of the act. He really means it.
He glances back over at Cas to see him slightly slack-jawed, gazing at him in soft wonder. Dean's heart picks up again, stomach swirling as he makes a little fist to ground himself.
Because of course, he means it Cas is his best friend, he's family that's nothing new. But it's more than that and yo-nope. Focus. Cas is only looking at him like that as part of the act, he's playing up.
Dean quickly tries to wrack his brain for something to say, but thankfully Molly cuts in.
"God aren't you two just the cutest, sappiest couple in the entire world! Oh my god, you're like a romcom. The perfect couple" Molly practically shouts earning a laugh from everyone and nods of agreement.
"Trust me, it wasn't as simple as a romcom. We fight, and we scream, but we always come back to each other" Cas says earnestly, looking right into Dean's eyes.
And Dean's pretty sure his heart is gonna burst through his chest because Cas' heart eyes look pretty damn convincing and it's sending his thoughts running. But thankfully, Tom and Stephen start telling the story of how they met, so Dean can thankfully push those thoughts aside. For now.
And after an hour of small talk, Dean and Cas have got a pretty good grasp on the people they're dealing with.
They learn that Stephen and Tom are both doctors at the same hospital, they have three-year-old daughter named Elizabeth. And with a glance over at the kids' section, they see that she and Jack are playing together. Another couple, Emma and Rachel come and join them all about halfway through. Emma is a cardiologist, and Rachel is a biomedical engineer, and they're in the process of adopting. They also learn that this entire week is the "Annual Autumn Festival", and there's a different event hosted by a different family each night, ending with a huge block party on Saturday night. Apparently, the school in town gives the kids a whole week off for some "district convention" with the higher ups, so they've been doing this for years.
And honestly, despite everything, Dean's actually having a good time. Yeah, these people's careers are insane, but Dean thinks they're pretty normal, and he's genuinely enjoying talking to them. And they seem to have warmed up to them, so with a slight nod from Cas, Dean goes in for the kill.
"So, we have to ask. We saw some crazy stuff in the news about this neighborhood, of course, it was after we bought the place. But we couldn't find much info about it" Dean begins gently to ease them into the conversation.
"Oh you must be talking about Carol and Mike" Rachel supplies with a frown, and a silence settles over the group.
"We're sorry, we didn't mean to pry. We were just curious sin-"Cas begins to apologize
"No, it's okay. You've got a right to know since it is about your house and all. Not your fault someone paid to keep it out of the news" Ton sighs heavily, and Stephen comfortingly presses his kiss to his temple.
"Carol and Mike were our best friends before they we-before everything" Stephen chokes out.
"We're so sorry for your loss" Dean offers, Cas nodding along.
"The night it happened, we were actually all supposed to go out to dinner. The four of us and the kids, it's a monthy tradition. But when we walked across the street to meet them, Carol answered. We should have known something was off bu-"
"Hello! I'm seeing frowns which is never a sign of a good party!" A shrill voice calls, which earns a groan from the group.
Damnit. They were so close.
Suddenly there's a shorter woman with platinum blonde hair, and a man with enough goop in his hair to grease a pan, who've both clearly had some work done.
"Hi I'm Amanda, and this is my husband Bill. You two must be our new neighbors" Amanda smiles with her too-white teeth, extending a hand with perfectly manicured nails. Of course, they are.
Dean resists the urge to roll his eyes, but with a squeeze on his side from Cas, he's reaching out his hand to shake theirs'.
"Bill, a pleasure to meet you! Nice to see you've already found your people. I know how you guys like to group up" Bill laughs with an equally blinding, white smile.
A pit drops in Dean's stomach. "Your people", who does this guy think he is? And these aren't Dean's people he's stra-
Give it a rest Winchester, you can only lie to yourself about so many things at once.
Fine so maybe they are "Dean's people", but this homophobic assclown has no right to say it, especially not like that.
"Well, not as much as your people lik-"Dean starts, only to be cut off by a pinch to his side and he whips his head towards Cas.
"Just let it go, he isn't worth it" Cas softly whispers in his ear, while he gently pulls him closer. With a huff, Dean begrudgingly lets it go.
He turns back to the conversation to see Bill and Amanda completely ignoring them, as they ramble on about nonsense. Dean quickly locks eyes with each couple, they throw him an eye roll, or a face when Amanda and Bill aren't looking.
"Oh Amanda and Bill, looks like you found the new neighbors" Molly calls slightly strained as she and Jason practically run back over.
"Yes, but sadly we don't have much time to chat with them tonight. There are still some people we must say hello to" Amanda informs, and honestly, Dean could cheer from relief.
"But you two must stop by sometime this week so we can get you properly acquainted with the neighborhood. Maybe widen the variety of your social groups" Bill snarks and Dean opens his mouth to retort but is silenced by a sharp tug from Cas.
"Thank you for the offer, bu-" Cas answers cooly before Dean even thinks about reopening his mouth.
"Perfect! Stop by Tuesday around two, we'll have lunch! But like I said we must be going, try to have a pleasant evening. Oh and Molly, that chicken looked a bit dry, might want to check on that" Amanda proclaims, and then she and Bill are disappearing into the crowd.
Dean turns to glare at Cas, who only gives him a look that reads "we'll talk about it later".
"I'm so sorry you got trapped by them. God, they're the fucking worst" Molly groans in apology
"Yeah can't argue with that" Dean grits out, still fuming from Bill's words and Amanda's stupid smirk.
"And Bill's such a homophobic bastard, thinks he's so subtle. God, what I'd give to shove a-" Emma rants, only to be cut off by a gentle shove from her wife.
"We can try to get you out of the lunch with them, we can sa-"Jason offers, but Cas of all people shuts him down.
"It's okay, if we go once and make them hate us, maybe they'll never bother us again. Oh and I'm sorry, but we really better get going. It's almost Jack's bedtime. Thank you for everything" Cas explains with a smile, shooting a look at Dean.
"Yeah, this was a killer party. So great to meet you guys, hope we see you all soon!" Dean says plastering on a smile despite his bubbling anger.
And with quick goodbyes, Cas' arm unsnakes itself from around Dean's waist. But before he can mourn the loss, he feels his hand in his dragging him silently towards the kids' section. They scoop up an exhausted, but ecstatic Jack, and carefully avoid running into Maria, as they make their way through the gate.
Now that they're alone, walking down the cold, dark sidewalk, Dean can hold it in anymore.
"God we were so damn close then, Barbie and Ken had to show up and shut the whole thing down! And now you want us to have lunch with them?" Dean rages, pointedly ignoring the way Cas' hand that isn't holding a sleeping Jack, squeezes his own. And of course, the fact that they're still holding hands.
"I know they were dicks, but I noticed them circling us for at least ten minutes, and they only rushed over as soon as we started asking about the murders. Isn't that suspicious?" Cas questions.
"Yeah I guess, but wh-"
"So I think they might be the thing we're hunting. I only agreed to lunch so we could check them out, and scope out their house" Cas continues, amusement dancing in his voice
Of course. God, it's so obvious how could Dean miss it? This whole thing is really fucking with his head.
"Alright, no need to be smug about it. But I still don't understand why you wouldn't let me tear that assclown a new one" Dean grumbles, anger quickly returning as they climb their porch steps.
Cas sighs dropping his hand, turning to look at Dean fully. Dean's heart starts up, as Cas levels him with an intense, unreadable stare.
"Because he's just some rich, homophobic asshole, who believes he's better than everyone. But he's not, because he isn't even worth your energy or thought. He doesn't know anything about us" Cas speaks, softly, as he rests a hand on Dean's shoulder. Dean suddenly realizes they're standing almost nose to nose.
"And I certainly don't care what he thinks of me or you, and I certainly don't care what he thinks of us. Because all that matters is how we think about ourselves." Cas continues purposefully, and Dean's throat constricts at the words. Dean of course knows Cas is "indifferent to sexual orientation", but he doesn't know that he-wait is Cas-
"And besides, if he's the monster. We'll get to kill him, slowly" Cas says in a mock-serious tone, which startles a laugh from Dean's throat. He's so close he can feel Cas's breath on his face, and Cas can probably hear Dean's heart racing.
But thankfully the logical part of Dean's brain is still somewhat running because it reminds him that it's all for the act. "He doesn't know anything about us", Cas was talking about the act. These people don't know they're pretending.
Because none of this is rea-
And it happens so fast that Dean almost misses it, again. But now he's watching Cas' retreating form walk through the doorway, and up the stairs. Leaving Dean, standing alone in the cold night air, his hand moving to his cheek without consent.
Cas kissed him on the cheek, again.
But this time. Nobody was around. They were completely alone, nobody to put on an act for.
That swirling feeling his back and wreaking havoc on his stomach again, while that lightning thing courses through his veins, and his mind races a mile a minute.
Dean lets out a breath, aggressively running his hands through his hair, as he stares out onto the empty street.
Because what the fuck is happening.

Takeshi Nakazato - Ever and Ever
• Takeshi Nakazato x Reader • Word Count: 2,072. • Synopsis: In which Takeshi goes through the stages of being a dad and he's a wholesome babe as always.
➽───────────────❥
"Babe? Are you really sure you want to eat this?" Takeshi asked, somewhat concerned.
"Yes, it's the most delicious thing I've ever seen. I need to have it." She nodded firmly, eager on taking the small plate that was in his hand. It contained apple slices and a small dipping cup in the centre that was filled with ketchup. Yes, ketchup.
He sighed, handing her the dish. "Alright, if you're sure." Happily taking it, she wasted no time in digging into the "delectable cuisine", as she put it. Takeshi watched, both enamoured and a bit grossed out at this week's strange food craving and combination.
(Y/N) was currently three months pregnant, and for Takeshi, this was one of the greatest moments in his life. He got to marry the girl of his dreams at twenty-four and now they were going to be parents at twenty-five. He sometimes thought about what it would be like to be a father and those thoughts usually led to the things he'd teach his kid, watch them grow and become one of the best things in his life. He'd love to be one of the people his child would look up to and admire.
He flicked his gaze to (Y/N) when she moaned. "This is so good. This is the best thing I've ever eaten, my god."
Takeshi snorted then chuckled, "You're strange."
"Have you tried this? Here, have some." She grabbed the plate, holding it in front of him.
"Nah, I'm good babe. More for you."
"You're missing out, Tak. This is some serious gourmet shit."
"I'm sure it is, love." He shook his head lightly, a smile on his face as he continued chuckling at her words.
"Gordon Ramsey would be so proud of you for creating this."
"I highly doubt that."
(Y/N) finished eating the remaining slices, giving a few strange but pleased moans and hums while eating.
--------
The minute Takeshi came home from work, (Y/N) latched herself onto him like a leech. Seems like this week is clinging week, huh? Rarely letting go of him, Takeshi carried her around the house for a few minutes as he did his 'getting home' routine, before getting her to settle down enough so he could take a shower.
When he was changed and back in the bedroom, he scooped up (Y/N) who sat on the edge of the bed and lied themselves down for the daily cuddling session before dinner.
"What do you want for dinner?" Takeshi asked.
"Food."
"Oh shit, really?"
"Yup."
"Never had that before, sounds good."
"I know, right?"
"In all seriousness though, what do you want?" he rolled on to his side, draping an arm over her side gently.
"A whole fish and some rice."
"How a big a fish are we talking about here?"
"The salmon in the freezer."
"Christ woman, you can't eat that whole thing."
"Hey! I'm eating for two here, cut me some slack. Me and mini you want a whole salmon!" she retorted, giving a mock glare.
"Alright, you both win. I'll get it started."
"Wear the maid outfit for me?" she grinned shamelessly.
"No."
"But you did before!"
"That was one time and I'm never doing it again!"
--------
"My ankles are so fat." (Y/N) poked at them for the twentieth time.
"That's natural hun, they're gonna be." Takeshi rubbed his hand up and down her thigh before settling it in place. She raised an arm and jiggled the loose muscle on her bicep.
"Look at my bingo wings."
"Babe..." He shook his head, sighing to cover a potential laugh. (Y/N) giggled and leaned into his shoulder. Three months had passed by quickly and the next three were going to fly by as well. Her cravings were only getting weirder as time went on and Takeshi didn't know how many more times he'd have to make a dish that would have Gordon Ramsey question his own career.
"Takeshi? Mini you requests sustenance. Well, more like demands, actually."
"What does he want now? Mushroom pie with coconut shavings?" he asked jokingly.
"Actually, that doesn't sound too bad."
Oh shit. What have I done? "(Y/N), love? You hate mushroom pie and coconut in general. I can't imagine you liking it put together."
"I don't know, that sounds like a delectable to me."
"How about I just go get you a burger?"
"Hmm." She thought in silence for a minute, Takeshi seriously hoping she went with the better option. "Yeah, he'll allow it."
Oh, thank God. "Great, what does he want on it?" Takeshi wrote down everything she -more like the baby- wanted then left for the nearest fast-food joint. Returning within ten minutes, he bought an extra burger, figuring one wouldn't be enough to satiate the both of them.
The couple cuddled up on the couch, watching the newest episodes of an anime. (Y/N) ate the first burger, then fell asleep half way through eating the second, giving Takeshi the prime opportunity to get a picture she'll hate him for later. He quietly snickered to himself, the soft click of the camera doing nothing to (Y/N)'s heavy sleeping state.
Once he had everything cleaned up and shut off, he carried her bridal style to bed. She groaned lightly, happy to feel the bed underneath her as she worked herself under the covers. He joined her not a minute later, gently moving stray strands of hair from her face. She moved closer, nuzzling her head against his chest and wrapping a leg over his. He watched her with a small smile and lightly massaged her side until he fell asleep as well.
--------
"Takeshi." She shook his arm quickly. He groaned and rolled over. She shook his arm and said his name again. No response.
"TAKESHI!"
"Fuck!" he jolted awake, looking over at (Y/N) with wide eyes. "What's wrong?"
"Drive me to the hospital, it's time and this kid is NOT patient." She scooted to the edge of the bed and Takeshi carried her down stairs and to the car where he quickly and skillfully drove a severely agitated and pained (Y/N) to the hospital. Luckily there was no traffic in the middle of the night.
Her pained whines and moans only got worse as they neared the building. When they arrived, she was quickly led into a room and the nurses gave her anesthesia. Once it kicked in, she had calmed down some. Takeshi sat next to her, soothingly rubbing his hand over hers. He was valuing what little time his hand had left before she most likely breaks it.
After two hours of labour, lots of pushing and (Y/N) yelling at Takeshi that, "The next time you want a kid, you're having it!" (S/N) came into the world. (Y/N) doted on him relentlessly before giving him over to Takeshi so she could rest. Smiling the entire time, he left soft kisses on her forehead and back of her hand. She smiled tiredly, watching Takeshi dote on their baby as well.
--------
(Y/N) was able to work from home, making it easier on both her and Takeshi to watch the baby. When he got home from work hours later, they switched roles and he watched over (S/N) while (Y/N) made dinner. The boy made grabby hands, gaining his father's attention who gently held his much smaller hand. (S/N) giggled happily at the positive reaction and Takeshi smiled warmly.
(Y/N) looked over towards the main room to see what caused (S/N) to giggle loudly. Her heart swelled happily and awed silently at the sight of her husband and son. Takeshi was such a sweetheart and a much bigger softy compared to what everyone made him out to be. She went back to making dinner, calling for Takeshi when it was ready. They ate at the small kotatsu in the main room, asking each other about their day and keeping an eye on their baby who was strongly preoccupied with his toy cars.
After dinner, the couple snuggled up next to each other in bed after tucking in (S/N) for the night. (Y/N) reveled in the warmth her husband gave off, making her smile and sigh contently. Takeshi left light and loving kisses in her hair, a hand gently massaging her back as she lied on top of him. Her arms were wrapped comfortably around his sides and both fell asleep in each other's arms.
--------
Your parents were right when they said "they grow up so fast." To (Y/N) and Takeshi it definitely didn't feel like three years had already passed by. (S/N) knew how to walk and talk already and it really made the parents think of how right their own parents were. Their son was extremely attached to both of his parents but they could both easily agree on that he was a daddy's boy. (S/N) loved being around Takeshi at every waking moment and the two bonded very quickly.
Takeshi, obviously, started teaching him car names, watched racing animes and movies along with some super hero ones. (Y/N) found it endearing how much time her boys spent together. As he got older, Takeshi would let (S/N) help him work on his car. She'd watch as (S/N) and Takeshi would work on the Skyline and the little one helped his dad hold the flashlight.
It would only be minor car fixes though, like oil changes, tire rotations, and some small installations. Anytime he or Takeshi got a small nick or cut, (S/N) would run over to (Y/N) and ask her in the cutest voice to fix their owwies. She would do just that, giving it a light kiss and ask if they wanted ice cream to make it go away faster.
--------
The day (S/N) got his license Takeshi took him out to Myogi in the R32 he continued working on and kept running. He may not like old and outdated cars, but his Skyline would forever hold a place in his heart and he couldn't get rid of it. His son had begged him over the years to be able to drive it one day, and today was that day.
The pass hadn't changed a bit over the years and even Takeshi continued to race it a few times a week. Street racing was in his blood and he was happy his son had a love for it too. As long as he wasn't too reckless like his younger self was.
By the time they got back it was three in the morning and (Y/N) was in bed. (S/N) took his dad by surprise when he pulled him in for a tight hug and thanking him for the night and everything from years past. Returning it with no hesitation, Takeshi smiled warmly. His son grew up to be everything Takeshi hoped he would be and he couldn't be prouder. He has his whole life ahead of him and Takeshi's pride for (S/N) would only get bigger.
When the two pulled away and bid each other goodnight, Takeshi walked into his and (Y/N)'s room as quietly as possible. Ridding himself of his shirt and changing into comfortable shorts, he slid into bed.
"How'd it go, love?" he heard (Y/N) ask softly.
"Did I wake you?" he asked, gently reaching over to her, his hand landing on her hip.
"No, I woke up when you two got back." He hummed in acknowledgment before responding.
"It was good, he really liked it. He looked like he was having the time of his life out there." Takeshi chuckled lightly, his hand rubbing circles on her hip.
"Aww, that's sweet. That meant the world to him. He wouldn't stop talking about it while you were at work. So excited to get his license and finally race like you. He really loves you, hun." (Y/N) moved closer, snuggling up to her husband and pressing a loving kiss on his lips. "But I love you more." She pressed several more kisses all over his face making him laugh.
He pulled her closer with both arms wrapped around her, nuzzling his face into the crook of her neck and peppering it with kisses. The couple cuddled for well over a half hour, basking in each other's warmth and loving holds before finally falling asleep. Takeshi was going to need it, for they were both sure (S/N) was going to challenge his dad to a race sooner rather than later.

Meant To Be || One For Every Billion
6. By My Side | Pt 4
"You've got to be kidding me."
Your group has already grabbed a table on the second floor balcony, overlooking the crowded paths below, at one of the nicer restaurants at the heart of the park's main food district and you've been checking updates on your phone after messaging Tobio and Hiro when Oikawa's unamused voice breaks through your thoughts.
You glance up to your left at him to see a look of disbelief on his face and when you follow his line of sight, you see the two stragglers everyone has been waiting on heading your way, weaving through the tables to reach you all.
"Tobio!" A smile breaks across your face at your cousin's grumpy visage. He seems a little closed off, studying the additions to your group with what you think is apprehension.
"Tobio?" Toru's head literally snaps towards you in question.
You turn to him as Tobio and Hiro come to a stop and pull out the two empty chairs at your table.
You hear Iwa murmur a low, "Oh shit." but you have to dismiss it because you're clearly missing something.
"Yeah," you watch Toru with a question in your own eyes, "My cousin, Kageyama Tobio. And Hiro, Hana's brother.."
Iwaizumi is actually facepalming while Maki and Mattsun are chuckling, but you can't see what's so funny so you continue with the introductions, "Tobio, this is-"
"We already know each other, Y/n. I went to school with Oikawa-san and Iwaizumi-san until they graduated this year."
Okay, small world. All you can really say while you digest this information is, "Oh."
But then, "Hiro doesn't know them... right?"
"No, not yet!" Hana's a lifesaver that steps in to make introductions with the rest of the guys while you chew it over. There's clearly history here, right?
Then, you kind of get an answer because Toru turns to speak with you while the others greet each other, "So let me get this straight. Ushiwaka and Tobio-chan are both your cousins?"
"Um. Yeah. Pretty much." You watch his eyes narrow on your response.
"Pretty much?"
"Yeah, Tobio's actually Shin's cousin but they're both more like brothers to me. I guess it's the same situation with Toshi but on my dad's side... we're not directly related either."
You can see the understanding light up his eyes for a moment, "You choose them, huh? As family?"
"Exactly."
"Interesting taste. So family but not."
"No. They're definitely my family, no question. Nothing will ever change that."
You and Toru stare at each other for a moment as you both try to work out what's going on in the other's head and where the lines are. When he doesn't reply back, you raise an eyebrow and prompt, "So.. you and Tobio..?"
He lets out a laugh that might be just a little bitter, "Please, there's no me and Tobio."
"Hm." You let it sit there because you're not one to pry more than that when someone is clearly somewhat unhappy. You'll get it out of Tobio later anyways.
And, cue lightbulb, "You were on the volleyball team together."
A cavalier smile spreads across his face at your question, it's definitely not sweet, teasing, or nice. It seems carefree but the expression in his eyes is almost telling you to back off. However, he still answers, "We were on the same team once, sure."
"Okay."
"Okay?"
"Yeah." You smile with what you hope is the kindness you want to relay and not the awkward uncertainty you're feeling, "Why? Do you have more you want to say?"
He studies you a moment longer before turning away to pick up his menu and study it instead. You still hear his quiet answer, "No."
You look away as well and your eyes fall over Tobio, who's looking back at you. His expressionless gaze doesn't convey much but, for once, even you can't read beneath it, and then the connection's cut when he glances away to the rides in the distance.
Okay.
The lunch goes surprisingly well considering the amount of tension around the table at the start. Mostly between Toru and Tobio, but even Iwaizumi seems more... engaged in the situation. Everyone else continues to get along fairly well and make up for those three, however, and the atmosphere eases out eventually. It probably helps that Tobio is quiet as per usual and Toru is unerringly good at pretending all is well in Oikawa-land.
When everyone heads out for the rest of the rides, you do catch Toru watching you interact with Tobio and Shin but you don't know what's so curious about your relationship with your cousins. What you do think is curious is his interest and attention when you're joking around with Karu or talking to Hiro. See, he doesn't seem to mind if you sit with your cousins, his friends or Hana, but somehow always manages to slip into the seat next to you if it looks like one of Hana's brothers will.
It's so obvious that you can't help but bring it up as you exit the picture booth at one of the rides, "Not that I should have to ask you permission, but are you going to let me sit with Karu or Hiro?"
"Do you want to sit with one of them?"
"Don't answer my question with a question."
"I like having you by my side."
"Still not an answer to my original question."
"Do you not want me next to you?"
"Stop avoiding my question or I'm going to assume you're jealous."
"Sounds like you want me to be jealous."
"I didn't say that."
"You also didn't deny it, Angel."
"Toru." You mean to admonish him for the little games he's playing but when his first name slips out and you see the wide grin start to spread across his face, you have to close your eyes in defeat.
It's with your eyes closed, as you're taking a breath to find your calm, you hear a soft smile in his voice as he calls to you, "Y/n."
And when you open your eyes he's holding up a printed picture from the ride you were just on. You and Toru are sitting next to each other, your hands interlocked between you again and you're trying to hold your hair down with your free hand, while strands still fly everywhere from the wind, to look over at him. Your expressions are caught in that moment, now eternal, as you're laughing at the cute pose he's trying to make for the picture but he's looking back at you and not the camera, with the happiest grin on his face.
"Why this one out of all the others?"
"I've been getting those too, just electronically. I wanted you to have this one."
"It's for me?"
"So you can remember how much I like you by my side."
You can only smile and take the picture from him, responding with a soft,  "Thank you."
"Say my name again, Angel."
"Oikawa."
"My first name."
"No."
"Please." He's giving you the cutest puppy eyes, but-
"I said no." And you turn to walk away before he can actually convince you, the smile still stretching your lips as you carefully tuck the picture into the hidden pocket, between your phone and cards to keep it from crumpling as much as possible.
-x-x-x-
Your group and Toru's end up going separate ways after an early dinner, which Miwa and her friend joined you all for. She got along famously with the unexpected additions to the group which you found pretty ironic. So did Toru, you guess, since he made it a point to state his delight at meeting a better Kageyama. No comment, you're biased.
You did have to promise Toru that you'd see him again before you left the park which, oopsie, you guess you never mentioned you'd also booked rooms to stay overnight. Haha. Yeah. You wonder if that means you can message him in the morning?
No, he'd just message you tonight if you don't first. He's already texting every so often and it's just been about fifteen minutes since you both went separate ways. So you end up texting him back to promise you'll see him in an hour or so, after some quality time with your cousins.
Back with the original group consisting of just your family, you all head over to one of the themed lounges to grab desserts and drinks. Tobio, of course, sticks with milk, while Miwa is all about getting her drink on with Sakepolitans - a cosmo made with sake.
Ren manages to convince her to order him an old fashioned or two, stating he's almost legal anyways - you roll your eyes at that - but you and Shin decide to experiment with the house recommendations. He goes with the Uji Matcha Latte while you go your typically coffee route with the café mocha.
An hour flies by fast as you all catch up on your day and make plans for the next but, by the end of it, Miwa is definitely in need of a bed, maybe with a trashcan by the side, and Tobio might actually be asleep on the table.
After telling Shin to stick with you and Tobio, Ren hauls Miwa away to get some sleep, letting you both know he'll be meeting back up with his friends after she's tucked in so to call if any of you need him. He does hesitate briefly, glancing between you and Shin, and you swear he mutters, "Just how much trouble can they get into here?" before shaking his head and leaving.
Hm. You throw a look over to Shin as he shakes Tobio awake and state, "Why don't you get him back to his room while I finish my coffee?"
He eyes you warily, considering your offer, "Right. Like you'll go to your room straight after?"
"What? Don't tell me you're not meeting up with Karu after you drop Tobio to bed."
His mouth opens but literally no words come out. Yeah, that's what you thought.
"What about you? Meeting up with your boyfriend?" Never mind, he found his words. Well, you can too.
"Why do sound like a elementary school kid? Oh right, emotionally you are one."
"I'm telling Ren that you're sneaking out." Rat. He would never, would he?
"You're literally just proving my point. Please, keep going."
"Why are you like this?" Ah, there's the crack. But you need to push a little more.
You lean back with a mocking smile, "Better than you at everything?"
Yup, now he's pouting. "Mean."
"It's genetic. You should know, you are too."
"Wow, I can't believe we're related."
"Me neither. Now, should I let you do your thing and have fun with your friend? Or do we call Ren and both end up stuck in our rooms for the night."
"How do you always...? Never mind." He grimaces in complete defeat, "Fine. Just keep your phone on and answer me right back if I message or call."
He's about to turn away but stops and adds, "And obviously old rules apply. You call immediately if you run into Ren so I can have my story together or make sure I'm back."
"Obviously." You smirk up at him over the mug before taking a sip.
But he didn't even have to say it. Whatever shit the two of you pull on each other, you also have each others backs when it counts. Especially with your older siblings. That was the pact those of you within a one to two year age range made with each other when you were all kids, as if any of you even had to. It's kind of cute you guess, but you'd never say that to any of them or they'd never stop harassing you.
As he heads off, you pull out your phone to message Toru and then decide to drop a picture of your drink on your twitter while you wait for his response. Which is unnecessary because the boy responds almost immediately. What, was he waiting by his phone?

A/N: I just want to thank you guys for all the love "We're the same" received! For real! Thank you! Here's part two, I hope you guys like it as well!
[Part 1]
_______________________
You and Peter were getting back from one of your night patrols, it was something that the two of you always did and it was part of your routine now, you loved fighting crime beside him, and he loved being able to fight by your side as well, the both of you made such a perfect team that even your dad, Tony Stark was proud.
"So… I was thinking" Peter takes off his mask giving you a look, you look at him waiting for him to keep talking "You know, how I always spend time on the avengers place? I was thinking that maybe you would like to… I don't know… Spend some time at my place? Maybe?" Peter smiles awkwardly, you remove your marks looking at him with a smile.
"You got all shy all of a sudden" You put your arms around his neck, giving him a little kiss on the lips.
"Not with you, I mean, no, I just… Do you think that it's time to introduce you to my friends?" Peter sighs.
"Wow…" You look at him with surprise "You have friends?!" Peter looks at you offended, you start laughing and he can't help but laugh as well with you "I'd love to meet them, if that's what you want Pete… I'll do it" Peter looks at your face trying to memorize your features, but to be honest, he already knows your entire face and body by memory, he just loves admiring your beauty.
"That will mean a lot to me, thank you" Peter closes his eyes giving you a sweet kiss.
"Well… in that case, just tell me when and I'll be there" You smile.
"How about tomorrow? You can go to my school and you can spend a day in my world" Peter suggested, you frown, that wasn't what you had in mind when he told you he wanted you to meet his friends.
"At your school?!" You ask, surprised.
"Yeah, is that… a bad idea?".
"Well, why not after school? We can go eat something or maybe… Why?" You put your hands on your hips, you can't help but laugh. "Don't you nerds go out?".
"Ouch…" Peter smiles "Well, remember I told you I'm going to the academy decathlon? I need to start staying after school to study and between classes as well from time to time, and besides… I could really use your company" Peter grabs your hands swinging both your bodies, you only shake your head.
"Alright fine, I'll go to school with you tomorrow, but I'm not taking the bus, I'll go swinging" You wink at him.
"Uh, no, you need to take the bus with me, so you can pass as one of the students" Peter winks back.
"Ugh! Is it really that necessary?!" Peter hugs you, hiding his face in the crack  of your neck.
"For me… pleeeeeease?" Peter whispers against your skin.
"Okay… See you tomorrow then" You put on your mask getting ready to go back to the chaotic place you call home.
"Love you!" Peter screams, smiling and feeling the luckiest man alive, once he lost the sight of you, he climbs the wall and opens his window to get into his room, tomorrow was the big day, he'd  been waiting for so long to introduce you to Ned and MJ, he was sure you were gonna love them.
[°°°]
"Wake up Parker!" You open his window, getting inside his room, Peter was getting changed after his usual morning shower, he looked back at you smiling.
"Good morning baby" He blows a kiss at you from afar, you sit on his bed taking a good look at his room, you've been there plenty of times, but today felt different, you felt a bit nervous and you didn't know why.
"When are we leaving?" You ask, impatiently.
"Well, you're a bit early baby girl, the bus will be here in thirty minutes" Peter puts on his shirt and sits beside you on his bed.
"You're not taking the suit?" You lift his shirt a bit, looking at his bare skin, Peter smiles and shakes his head.
"I want this to be a normal day for the both of us, just you, me, school, friends, a normal teenagers romance… No super heroes, no super powers, no fighting the bad guys, just for today" Peter grabs your hand.
"Pete… Baby… I am the daughter of Tony Stark, even before I got my powers, the words 'have a normal day weren’t part of my vocabulary" You fake a smile and Peter chuckles, biting his lip.
"Are you wearing your suit?".
"No, it's in my backpack, just in case you know…" Peter grabs your backpack, he opens it taking out the suit, throwing it into his closet. "Pete…" you look at your boyfriend with sadness "I'm already going to school with you let me take the suit, you never know!".
"Y/N, nothing will happen today, and I promise that after school we'll come back here and we'll go back to being Mr and Mrs Spider-Man" Peter jokes, you smile with sadness nodding, after all you promised him a normal day.
"Peter I seriously can't believe I'm the one who's asking to keep the suit and not the other way around".
"Honey we'll be okay!". "Fine… But if something does happen, I'm calling dad". "That won't be necessary". "We'll see". "We won't".
After a quick breakfast with Aunt May, you and Peter went down to the bus stop and waited for your ride to his school, you were used to Happy driving you to your private school where your dad had you at, you always wondered what it would be like to go on a bus like Peter did all the time, not wear a uniform, this could be a good day, maybe you can convince Tony to let you change school.
"So, we met at the Stark Internship… right?" You look at Peter trying to memorize the fake story on how you two met.
"Exactly, let's not mention that we both have super powers" Peter smiles.
"I thought your friend Ned knew?".
"Well, yeah, he's the only one, but the story is for the rest of them" Peter takes your hand.
"Okay… my last name is… (Y/R/L/N)?" You sigh "I'm ready!".
As the bus arrives, Peter manages to sneak you in without the bus driver noticing, but you didn't feel worried, it was an old man and he could barely see.
"There's Ned, my best friend" Peter points at a guy in the middle of the bus, you nod, just following Peter.
"Hey bro!" Ned smiles at Peter, you see them make a kind of secret handshake, you smile at the sight of such a cute act.
"Ned, this is Y/N… The Y/N" Peter says nervously, Ned looks at you and he opens his mouth with surprise.
"You're Peter's girlfriend?!" Ned asks.
"Yup… Nice to finally meet you, Peter talks a lot about you" You shake Ned's hand.
"He talks about me?! Ha! He talks about you a lot as well, you're like the main topic of our conversations" Ned chuckles, Peter hits Ned's arm giving him a warning.
"I'm flattered, I hope he only says good things" You look at Peter, taking a seat next to Ned.
"You're not sitting with me?" Peter chuckles.
"Nah, Ned's better company" You wink an eye at Peter, he takes a seat in front of the both of you.
"So… Are you really Tony Stark's daughter?" Ned asks.
"I don't know what you're talking about, we met at Stark industries… I have an internship as well" you smile.
"Baby, remember he knows" Peter chuckles.
"Oh… yeah, sorry" You smile shyly at Ned "So you know about Spidey?" You whisper at Ned.
"About Spidey one and two" Ned smiles and you smile at him.
"Well I'm glad I don't have to pretend in front of someone".
The bus makes another stop and a bunch of students get inside of the bus, you see Peter shake his hand in the air with a smile, you look over to see a pretty girl, messy hair and a 'kill me' kind of face, you knew that was MJ, Peter always says that she has a funeral face.
"Sup losers" MJ sits beside Peter. She looks at you and you give her a small smile.
"Hey" you say, MJ looks at Ned and then at you.
"Who is she?".
"She's my girlfriend" Peter spoke, MJ looks at Peter with an extremely surprised look, but her face goes back to her neutral expression right away.
"So, you're that Y/N?" MJ looks at you.
"Yes, you must be MJ" You offer her your hand to shake, but instead she gives an awkward high-five.
"Are you sure you're dating this ass? He's not paying you to fake a relationship?" MJ looks at you trying to study your expressions, you only chuckle shaking your head.
"Hey! I can get a girlfriend!" Peter says offended.
"Yeah boy… but not like her, she's waaaaay out of your league" MJ huff taking out her book, Peter looks at you and you give him a little wink.
Once the four of you arrived at school, no one was paying attention to you, which you liked, normally, at your other school you were treating with a bit of privilege just because of your last name, and here, it was all different, maybe because no one really knew your real last name, or maybe because you were with the nerds, but you liked it, being invisible for once.
"Let's go to class then" Peter grabs your hand.
"What class do we have first?" You smile.
"Wait… you're attending this school now!?" Ned exclaims.
"Yes, for today" You smile shyly.
"Cool… Are we going to say that she's an exchange student from another country or...?" Ned looks at Peter.
"No, she just transferred schools that's it" Peter smiles.
"I can make an accent" you look at both boys.
"I wanna hear" Ned smiles.
"Please no" Peter puts his hands over his ears, as you start speaking with a heavy (very bad) french accent, making Ned laugh, even MJ gave you a small chuckle.
"Can she please keep the accent?!" Ned looks at Peter.
"No! Please no!" Peter grabs your hand pulling you to class.
The teacher was already there so you had to go through the entire 'hi I'm blablablaba the new kid' kind of thing.
"Y/N, tell us a bit about you" the teacher looks at you. You felt everyone's eyes over you, you looked at Peter who was sitting in his place, saving a chair beside him for you.
"I'm dating Spider-Man" you said seriously, you could hear Peter choke in the back of the class, everyone was quiet, but then everyone started laughing and Peter felt his soul go back to his body.
"Yeah, I'm dating Spider-Man as well" another girl jokes.
"Okay Y/N go take a seat" the teacher smiles. You nod walking towards Peter, you look at the girl who made a joke as well, you lean close and whisper.
"You're not his type sweetie" You wink and eye to her and she rolls her eyes at you.
You sit beside Peter taking out a notebook and a pen out of your backpack.
"Hey sweetie… Don't sit with Parker, come sit with us" you look up from your notebook to see a boy wearing a Polo shirt, you knew, by fact that he was Flash, the annoying son of a… Who made Peter's life a living hell in school.
"No thanks, I'm good here" You fake a smile.
"Come on, I don't bite, unless you want me to" Flash winks at you and his friends start laughing.
"Just ignore him," Peter whispers, taking your hand.
"Permission to break his jaw" you whisper with anger.
"As much as I'd love to see that, permission not granted… It's okay, he's like that, you'll get used to him" Peter chuckles.
"Okay, but if he says something offensive to you, I won't hesitate".
"I love when you get all overprotective of me" Peter whispers in your ear leaving a small kiss on your cheek.
"Well, you know that someone has your back Parker" You bite your lip, trying not to kiss him so you both don't get detention.
As class goes by, you actually pay a lot of attention to it, making a bet with Peter on who could answer more questions than the other, the loser will go patrolling alone, but the both of you know that's an impossible thing.
You and Peter go to the next class, woodshop.
As you and Peter arrive, Ned is already there, working on something, Peter grabs your hand and you look at him with a smile.
"Remember when you first got your powers? I made your web shooters here" Peter smiles, you could see how proud he was of his work.
"I can remember that day as if it was yesterday… And I can also remember your face when you showed me the web shooters for the first time" You caress his cheek with love, Peter feels electricity in his body, he shakes a bit and smiles, you really had an effect on him.
The two of you made your way to Ned, you see him working on some type of mechanic arm, he seemed to be having a bit of a problem there, you look at Peter wondering if he's going to help his friend, but no, Peter only sits beside him, working on his own project.
"Need a hand Ned?" You smile, sitting in front of him. Ned and Peter look at you.
"Uh… I don't really want to bother, I can't seem to make this work, I don't know why" Ned shows you the mechanic hand, you grab it taking a good look.
Grabbing a bunch of tools on the table, you quickly manage to fix it and the mechanic like hand starts moving.
"Wow… where did you learn that?" Peter looks at you with a bright smile.
"Yeah, that took you like five seconds!" Ned grabs the hand admiring your work.
"Well, I'm Tony Stark's daughter, I know how to repair his suits as well" Your chest sticks out and you look at Peter feeling proud, you were glad that there was something Peter Parker didn't know about you.
"You keep surprising me babe" Peter smiles and winks at you.
"Not in front of me guys, please…" Ned rolls his eyes and goes back to working on his hand, you and Peter chuckle.
"So… You really are spending your day with the nerds huh?" Someone speaks behind you, you take your eyes off of Peter's project to look behind you.
Flash was there, he was holding his phone typing something, he looked at you smiling.
"I knew I've seen that pretty face before…" Flash has a cocky smile in his face, he then turns his phone to you "Tony Stark donates one million dollars to charity, and beside him, the women that inspire him to do good day by day… His wife, Pepper Potts, and his daughter, Y/N Stark…" Flash finishes reading the news, you really started to hate that guy.
Peter looks at Flash with anger, all he wanted to do was have a normal day with you in school, show you that you could be happy in a normal kind of way, but of course Flash was so obsessed with him that he had to ruin everything.
Peter stands up from his chair ready to fight Flash, but your words stop him.
"So…? Should I give you a golden star?" You ask Flash, with the same cocky smile now "Should I clap for you? Let me do it…" You start clapping in his face "You're so intelligent, you found out who I am!".
Peter looks at you and then at Flash, feeling proud as hell, Flash looked intimidated by you, and Peter was enjoying the show.
"I-" Flash opens his mouth but you interrupt him.
"So what's your point… Flash, right?" You cross your arms.
"Just tell us all the truth! You're not dating Penis Parker! You're here to donate money to school or something!" Flash smiles back at you.
The smile on your face is replaced with pure anger, your eyes darkening as you look at Flash, you could hear him swallow saliva.
"You did not just  say that" Peter whispers with a smile, he goes back to his  seat he was tired of letting Flash get away with all the shit he does, and of course he couldn't punch him cause it was obvious who would win, he was trying to be fair. But today, today it was different, and he was glad his queen was here.
Flash looks at Peter and then back at you, knowing that he made a huge mistake on calling Peter that in front of you.
"What's your point?" You speak with anger.
"Just tell us you're not dating Parker, he has nothing to offer! Instead go out with me! I have money, cars… I can take you wherever you want" You put your arm around  Flash's shoulders squishing hard, he starts to feel pain but he holds it in, trying to look tough you made him face Peter, your boyfriend looking at the both of you delighted.
"You looking at that man right there?" You point at Peter "He gon' get it when we get home, he will keep me up all night… He is much more than you'll ever be!" You squish  Flash's shoulders even more, but not enough to leave  bruises the next day. "You say you have money? Cool, he has an immense heart, amazing jokes... you have a car? Cool… He has something better I prefer to ride" You wink at Peter and you see him blush, he was red at this point "Flash, you wish you could be like Peter Benjamin Parker, now, do me a favor and leave me and my boyfriend alone" you push Flash away from you, sitting back with Peter and Ned, you turn around one last time look at him "Leave your obsession with Peter behind, we all know you're not his type" You wink and eye to Flash.
Flash basically leaves running, when he does, Ned and Peter explode in laughter, you look at the both of them with a smile.
"Damn! That was amazing! About damn time someone said something to Flash" Ned cleans his fake tears.
"You didn't  have to  say anything to him Y/N" Peter smiles.
"You're right, we don't need to prove anything to that loser, but I got angry! He's an asshole and the thought of you having to deal with this dumbass all the time makes my blood boil!" You take a deep breath trying to calm down "Also, I wanted him to know how good you are at what you do" you wink and eye to Peter, your boyfriend opens his eyes wide and looks at Ned, who is pretending to mind his own business with his mechanic arm.
"Y/N… Don't speak like that" Peter whispers, he was a blushy mess, he looked adorable.
"Oh Peter, you should feel proud of yourself…" You stand up looking around "I'm bored, I'm gonna build something" You smile and you start walking around the classroom looking for pieces for a project.
Back at the table, Ned turns his head to look at you and then he looks at Peter.
"Man… I don't know what you did to get a girl like her, but you're one lucky moth-" Peter covers his mouth, blushing.
"Okay Ned, she's too hot for me I get it…" Peter looks at you smiling "When she's with me all boys hate me".
And he was right, and he just proved that with Flash trying to steal you from him, the way you talked to Flash, the way you defend Peter, it made him feel some kind of way, he wasn't used to having you do that, but he was proud of it.
[°°°]
The bell rings letting all the students know that the day is over, you stand up from your chair looking at Peter, waiting for instructions.
"Okay, let's go home" Peter smiles taking your hand.
"Home?" You look at him confused "don't you need to study with your decathlon team?".
"Yeah I do but…" He leans closer to you and whispers in your ear. "You said I was gonna get it when we get home so… Let's keep you up all night" He gives you a soft kiss on the lips.
"Peter Parker… I-" you try to make a joke but you just can't, he caught you off guard "Oh boy… Let's go! You have work to do!" You smile and clap happily making Peter laugh out loud, catching everyone's attention, but he didn't care.
He was planning on having a nice evening with you and his friends, but that could wait, you can see his friends any other day.

Love amongst the himbos
Chapter 2: Oh
TWs: extremely mild homophobia towards the end, micro aggression towards the Fire Nation, etc. Nothing too extreme
Here we gooo
"Zuko! How was school today?" Zuko's uncle always had a hopeful smile on his face.
"Good." Zuko sighed, fire lacing his breath. He hung up his backpack and sat at the table with him.
"Did you make any new friends?" Iroh asked, pouring a cup of tea.
"Yeah. Sokka, I think."
"He sounds wonderful."
"No yeah, he's great." Zuko looked up. "What happened to my mother?" Iroh clenched the teapot tightly. "How did the war even end? It seems like everything just stopped and the Fire Nation fell."
"She ran away, Zuko, and the Fire Nation fell apart when Azulon and Ozai died. You know that."
Zuko narrowed his eyes, well, eye. "What aren't you telling me?" Iroh set down the teapot. "Are you lying?" They both sat in silence for a moment.
".....yes," Iroh sighed. "I don't think you want to know."
"I knew it! I knew she wouldn't just leave me!" Zuko smiled subtly. "Of course I want to know. She left, I can't imagine why."
"You can't?"
"No."
"What happened the year before she vanished, Prince Zuko?"
"She ran away."
"And?"
"...And while she was gone, I got-" Zuko paused. "What does this have to do with anything?"
Iroh sighed. "You must figure it out yourself or be patient."
"I have a lot of homework." Zuko sighed. Iroh frowned, but didn't protest.
"Do what you must to succeed." Zuko nodded, closing the door of his room.
"Ursa....of..the..fire....nation.." Zuko muttered. "6 results? Are you kidding me?" Zuko slammed his head on his desk. He opened his laptop and found the assignment.
'What caused the Fire Nation to collapse? What scared off the residents?' Zuko stared at the screen. "This seems like it goes against several exposure laws."
Zuko's phone dinged.
Sokka💙🏳️‍🌈 is typing...
Sokka💙🏳️‍🌈: Hi
Zuko👁👄💥: Hi
Sokka💙🏳️‍🌈 is typing...
Zuko's heart was in his throat. He wasn't sure what would happen. What if he'd already said the wrong thing? What if... What if he-
Sokka💙🏳️‍🌈: I can't remember the english word for like-
Sokka💙🏳️‍🌈: okay so when something isnt cold so it hurts??
Zuko👁👄💥: Hot? Burn?
Sokka💙🏳️‍🌈: yeah thanks
oh, okay.
Sokka pov
Nice save, dumbass. Sokka thought.
"Ohhhh! $2, Aang!" Toph laughed.
"What!?" Sokka looked up at them from the floor.
"I bet her $2 you wouldn't chicken out of flirting with him." Aang sighed, passing two dollar bills to Toph. Sokka sighed.
"Guys, I've known him for a day." Sokka grumbled.
"True, but $2 is $2." Toph shrugged.
"Katara!" Sokka shouted. "Tell your boyfriend and your friend to get out of my room!"
"Wowwww." Aang mumbled as he dragged Toph out of the room.
Sokka sighed.
Sokka💙🏳️‍🌈: How's homework for you?
Zuko👁👄💥: what the fuck is math
Sokka: yikes
Sokka: you want some help?
Zuko: alright I guess
Zuko pov
Does this count as a date? I think it does? Is a study-date still a real date? Zuko thought about everything while he walked downtown. This area of the city was different. Then again, Zuko and Iroh lived above their tea shop. This area was more residential.
"Watch it scarboy!" Zuko swerved to avoid someone hitting his shoulder. Fuck you, stranger. He kept walking.
Zuko took out his found and stared at the address. Sokka's bitmoji thing popped up. Fucking snapchat. Now I have to say something.
Zuko: I'll be there in five minutes
sokka: k thanks
Zuko sighed. "Just breathe, you've got this." Just take a step and drop it, compliment her hair or- now is now the time for songs.
Zuko knocked on the door. Sokka answered almost immediately. "Hi!" He smiled. Zuko smiled back, it was like he couldn't help it. "Come on in!"
"Oh, he's- okay." Hakoda glanced around. Sokka practically growled.
"That's my dad, Hakoda. Let's go upstairs?" Sokka grabbed his wrist, not tightly enough for the bad type of panic, but still panic.
"Hey! Is that Zuko?" Katara asked as they walked past his room.
"Yup! This is my sister, Katara, and her friend, Toph. Oh, and her boyfriend, Aang."
"It's nice to meet you all." Zuko looked uncomfortable, so they took a few more steps into Sokka's room.
His bed was like a bunk bed with a couch instead of a bottom bunk. A TV sat on his dresser, which was across from the bed. Next to the dresser was a corner desk covered in papers and books.
"Alright, which question are you on?" Sokka interrupted his thoughts.
"1."
"Oof." Sokka beckoned him towards the desk. Zuko walked over. "Alright so the formula is y2-y1 over x2-x1."
"I thought it was x1-x2 over y1-y2."
"Well you were wrong." Sokka smiled. Zuko sighed. "So, the first y coordinate is at the y-intercept, which is at what point?"
"(0,6)."
"So it's the y coordinate of the other point- 7-6=1 so the numerator is 1! Ya got all that?"
"Yup, and I cant believe I'm struggling with 9th grade math."
"You're in your Junior year."
"Yeah. I'm just that bad." Zuko chuckled. Sokka explained more of the math and helped with science, Zuko finally got to help him with French.
"I speak like...." Zuko stopped and pulled out his hand, mumbling while he counted on his fingers. "English, French, Japanese, Russian, Italian, uhh I know a tiny bit of Khoisan. I'm still a beginner in Vietnamese, at least according to the placement test of duolingo."
"Wow...I only know English and Inuktiut! Plus one phrase in Irish." Sokka was in awe.
"What phrase? How come only one?"
"Buachaill maith. Good boy. I learned the phrase a while back, the manager of the store I work at was fluent."
"So do you want me to teach you all the swear words in every language I speak? I can also teach you how to call someone a dumb bitch in sign language."
"Please do."
So they spent 3 hours learning cuss words in their respective languages. They are 16 years old, what do you expect?
"I have to get going. It's gonna be time for dinner." Zuko sighed, suddenly unable to remake his smile from a moment ago.
"You could stay here for dinner?" Sokka pleaded.
"Thanks, but no. I didn't even tell my uncle where I was going. He's probably worried." Zuko sighed.
Sokka stood up and they walked out. Gran Gran was walking about the kitchen, in the middle of making dinner. Zuko was still thanking Sokka for the help. Gran Gran narrowed her eyes.
"Sokka, who is this?" She didn't even pretend to smile. Sokka glared at her.
"Zuko. He's my friend." Sokka answered.
"He's Fire Nation."
"What an astute observation." Sokka snarled, walking Zuko to the door. "Get home safe!"
"I will!" He responded. Zuko sighed in defeat, as soon as he left he could hear Sokka snapping. Of course people hate the Fire Nation. Why wouldn't they? Shootout to the non-bender nations for staying out of the war. They hardly had any territory yet they fought amongst themselves. Every nation had nonbenders, but the non-bender nations had no benders at all.
Zuko walked across the half-empty side walk. Thoughts were racing in his head. Why did it feel so amazing being around Sokka? Why was Sokka so defensive of him? Why did Sokka's room look like heaven? Is Sokka gay or bi? What's the difference between bread and cake? Am I gay?
Am I gay?
Am I gay?
Am I gay?
Zuko shook his head, trying to shake off the thought. "I'm straight, right? I'm straight." He sighed. His dad would kill him if he knew. He was completely sunken in thought when his phone started vibrating.
'Pick up your phone. Do it!' 'Do it or we'll kill you!' 'NO!' Zuko picked up his phone and swiped up, gulping at the thought of it. He hadn't heard that tone in years.
"Hello, brother."
Alright you'll get to finish the cliffhanger in about 2-3 weeks. I'm not a fast writer.

A LunaTic and her Gunn (Part 113 2Xs2) "Things That Real People Do."
@crystalbaby12 @5sosfam1dlover @backoftheroomandnotbelonging @rosefilledhearts-blog *AGAIN... So sorry if I missed you ❤️
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Colson and Luna wake up late and discombobulated the next morning. They had fucked a few more times and stayed up way too late talking about their future plans together. Now they're rushing around to grab clothes so they're not late meeting Deanna at the airport.
Luna and Colson are a little more than halfway to LAX when she gets a text from Deanna. It says she just landed to their relief.
---------------------------------------------------
"It's so good to see you!!" Luna hugs Deanna tightly once they find each other.
"UGH. You are soooo lucky I love you." Deanna half teases, half groans.
"All this yours?" Colson asks with wide eyes as he looks at the stacks of luggage behind The Girls.
"Try YOURS." Deanna answers with a laugh as she greets Colson with a warm hug. "Three wedding dresses, two suites and the makings for two flower girl dress... Yeah, that's YOURS. Mine's there." She deadpans pointing to a significantly smaller sized pile.
"Alright... Let's get this show on the road!" Luna claps with excitement.
With substantial help, Colson, Luna and Deanna load all of the luggage and themselves into Colson's Expedition. On the way home the three of them talk about the astetics that Luna's going for. Colson hearing for the first time her two color schemes.
"This shit is gonna be FIRE, Kitten!" He shouts happily as he pulls her head over to kiss it; making Deanna smile as Luna turns a sweet shade of red.
---------------------------------------------------
Music is blaring when they pull into the driveway. The Cleveland House is alive and rocking. Sam and Baze have made their way back over along with Slim and Dub. Mod and Casie are having a water balloon fight in the front yard against Rook and Benny while Pete and Kevin chill on the front step watching.
"Welcome to Cleveland!" Colson laughs at the sight happening in front of his house.
Baze, Colson, Sam, Slim, Dub and Luna help Deanna get her supplies inside. Setting up in the dining room, she spreads out the fabrics and sets up the accessories for Casie's dresses across the large table. Opening Colson's trunk, she reveals his almost finished suits. With some fine tuning, they both should be finished today. Staying closed and locked is the trunk that contains Luna's multiple wedding dresses.
"Colson, can I get you on the box?" Deanna requests once she has her traveling work space fully set up.
"Yeah, no problem. What suit you want me to try on first?" He asks as his fingers run between the two different fabrics.
"Uh... Let's go PinStriped because that's the first one." Deanna decides.
"Hi!" Casie comes up waving. "I'm Casie. Who are you?" She asks inquisitively as she sticks her hand out for a shake.
"Hi!" Deanna laughs at the young girl's candid demeanor. "I'm Deanna, I'll be creating your dresses for your dad and Luna's weddings... It's so nice to finally meet you." She gushes as Casie shakes her hand in an exaggerated fashion.
"Are these for me?" Casie asks with a squeak in her voice as she hops over to the different colors and fabrics laid across the table.
"Yup. I'm gonna finish up with your dad and then we'll start on you." Deanna informs her.
"REALLY?" Casie clasps her hands together in excitement.
"Yeah, come on Dill. Let's go warm up and get changed so you're ready." Luna coaxes her favorite tiny person.
"Okay!!" Casie continues to hop as Luna guides her up stairs after passing Colson.
One Look.
"Oooh! That fits nicely! How does it feel?" Deanna asks once a barefoot Colson is on her box.
"Nice. I can move and bend... " He answers by showcasing how his ninja kicks.
"WHOAH!! NO MARTIAL ARTS TILL AFTER THE CEREMONY!!" Deanna asserts with a laugh as she slides his suit coat onto his shoulders.
"DAMN... I love fly as fuuuuuuuck!" Colson shouts as he admires himself and Deanna's work in the mirror.
"Stand still for a sec, I just wanna check the hem on the pants." The designer instructs as she works her magic; a few small adjustments and the suit is perfect. "Alright, now the orange one." She goes on to direct her model.
"My favorite!" Colson shouts again as he jumps sideways off the box, Luna and Casie coming in just in time to witness it.
"Don't mind my dad, sometimes he can be a nerd." Casie reassures Deanna of her father's antics.
"How's the first?" Luna asks her friend as they wait for Colson.
"Perf..."
"BAM!!" Deanna is cut off by Colson's elaborate entrance. "This jawn is litty, my Kitty!!" Colson shouts again as he pulls Luna close to him by the waist. "Feel this shit... It's so fucking soft but so light." He oozes over the crushed orange material.
"You look great, Buns." Luna laughs as she kisses him. "Now get on the box.... GET ON THE BOX!!" She laughs harder, slightly mimicking Brad Pitt from Seven.
"How's that one feel?" Deanna interupts them, she's on a mission.
"I like that this one is looser. Like, I could wear these pants all day at EstFest and be comfortable." Colson answers as he does a slight jig.
"GREAT!! That means you're done. All I have to do is secure all the hems and you're wedding day ready." Deanna let's out with a light sigh.
"See that Kitten, I'm wedding day ready." Colson states as he pops a pose and sticks his tongue out at her; causing her to collapse into a fit of giggles with Casie and Deanna.
"That's a good look for you there, Mzzz. Kelly." Sam comes in, busting balls and carrying beers.
"Whhhyyyy thank you." Colson laughs as he jumps off of the box one last time, steals a beer from Sam and hollers "THANK YOU, DEANNAAAAA!!" As he sprints away to undress and work on his rap hook.
Fitting Casie is a WHOLE different story. She's never had to stand still long enough for a custom piece. It also doesn't help that The Guys keep floating in and out and messing with her.
"Lemme show you something, Dill! " Luna calls for Casie, pulling her sketch book out, she shows the young girl what their goals are.
"Okay. I'll stand better." Casie asserts with a better understanding of what they're trying to construct.
Deanna works as Casie stands. Luna and Sam busting it up with both of them. Colson pulling Luna away for her opinion on the sound for what they're now calling So Am I. Luna dipping all around the house. From the dining room to the music room, then to the backyard to get stoned real quick. Starting from scratch, Casie's takes the longest leaving the tiny one to step down from the box hungry and exhausted.
"I'm going to watch TV." She declares with a dragging sigh.
Luna sets her up in the living room as Ashleigh arrives with Ashton. Pleasing Casie to no end to have her Buddy with her as the women all head to the dining room for Luna's final fittings.
"We need sheets." Deanna informs Luna. "I don't want anyone walking in on you... You know?" She asks to Ashleigh's nod at the sign of the bad omen before she goes to find them.
A couple of beers, a few sheets later and Luna's on the box in her first dress. It's simple and short with lace details. Deanna checks the hems and asks Luna how it feels. She loves it. It's flattering yet comfortable. Delicate but not too girly for Luna. Gushing over it as she throws her arms around Deanna in gratitude.
"Wait till you see the third... That's my favorite." Sam whispers to Ashleigh as they watch Luna shimmy into her second dress.
This one is long with simple, classic lace patterns. Giving off a soft, hippidelic feel. Perfect for the woods of EstFest. Luna stands still as Deanna adjusts the lace around her body and it falls softly against her skin.
"Is it too tight?" Deanna asks with slight concern.
"I don't think so... What do you think?" Luna asks as she twists and twirls on the box.
"Jump off." Deanna instructs Luna.
With that she takes a long, ballerina leap off of the box, making it shake by her sudden weight shift. Legs wide open and arms extended she glides for a moment before landing and twirling again.
"TaDa!" Luna takes a bow, incredibly pleased with herself.
"Show off." Sam snarks with an unamused eye roll as she swigs her beer.
"You look AMAZING, Loons!!" Ashleigh stands up to admire her and the dress.
"Thank you." Luna let's out an embarrassed smile as she pecks Ashleigh's cheek. "What do you think, D?" Luna asks her designer friend.
"You'll be fine." Deanna's head nod making the other girls crack up.
"Yo!! Kitten! Where you at?" Colson tries to come barging in but gets tangled in the sheets.
"Not with you right now." Sam answers as she grabs him and pushes him to freedom; all praising Sam and the sheets with more gratitude and laughter.
Slipping into the third dress is easy. It's a two piece with a full skirt. Deanna only wanting to check the final fit and hem. Still twirling, Luna let's out a sigh... It's not hard to get caught up in the sweetness of planning a wedding. No matter how obscure.
"You okay?" Sam asks as she passes Luna a beer.
"Yeah." Luna smiles dreamily. "Just excited." Her hopeful demeanor seeping slightly into Sam before they click their beers wih the other two ladies.
--------------------------------------------------
The fittings took all day. Leading them right up until about 530Pish. Only having time for a huge burn circle for the adults before most of them who aren't dressed have to run off to be ready for their 7P reservation at Morton's Steakhouse.
Finally seated with an array of drinks and appetizers, it's a ton of them as always. Colson, Casie and Luna. Deanna. Then Pete and Kevin; because no one could convince Pete to leave Kevin at home alone during nightfall and Luna knows when to pick her battles. Baze, Sam, Ashleigh and Ashton are there. Along with Rook, Slim, Benny, Mod and a pop up AJ. Fifteen to be exact. The Fabulous Fifteen if you will. Dub making his way home after the circle. Luna orders a ribeye while Colson wants crab legs. Everyone one else places their order before Luna builds Casie a bowl of Chicken Alfredo by getting technical with the server. She doesn't like to be a dick but Casie's an asshole when it comes to food and Luna would rather push a little limit than be pushed to the limits. All the while Colson appreciating Luna's instincts when it comes to his daughter.
Dinner is filling and boozed soaked. Casie successfully getting her coveted dish while Ashton enjoyed plain noodles. They talk mostly about getting back to The House and trying to work out Luna's new song before Ashleigh asks how TownHall went.
"The COURTHOUSE went well." Luna laughs to Colson's smirk as they slightly explain the logistics of their yesterday.
Conversation continues to flow along with more alcohol. Deanna and Sam's thick NY accents drawling out Luna's Brooklyn one as well as Pete's Staten Island slang as they recant war stories and bust each other's balls. It's a different light to see the four old friends in.
Eventually Ashton has his fill, Ashleigh taking him home in her own car. Benny driving Colson, Luna, Casie and Deanna while Baze, Sam, Pete and Kevin follow behind Slim, Rook and Mod. AJ being the lone wolf as always.
---------------------------------------------------
Back at The House, Colson has Casie get in the shower while he packs up a few of her things that will head back to Emma's tomorrow. Meanwhile, Luna begins to pack for their overnight stay and upcoming performance in NYC on Thursday. The Guys and Sam are still downstairs tinkering with the idea Luna has in mind while Deanna works on Casie's dresses nearby.
Heading downstairs with a clean Casie, Luna and Colson join them in the music room. Beers are passed along with ideas and thoughts. Luna sits behind the drumkit, making herself comfortable.
"Let's try this, Sammy..." Luna offers as she takes the sticks in her hand and pounds out a quick bop.
"Lemme give it try." Sam agrees as they switch place and she begins to practice to Luna's approving nod.
Grabbing her electric that she'd kept with her since SNL; Luna tunes it up, making the chords howl. Stopping Sam, she looks over at Baze and nods for him to follow her chord pattern. A huge smile lighting up Luna's face as their two instruments align together.
"Now, gimme that strong, quick drum, Sammy!" Luna shouts out over her shoulder. "Colson, follow her lead." Luna continues to instruct as she begins to sing the original lyrics a bit faster with more spunk instead of tease.
Casie sits watching in awe. She's seen her dad create and record a million songs but there's something empowering to her in the way Luna commands the direction of her peers and their instruments. The young artist continues to absorb the creative jam session as it begins to birth an actual song.
"I think here... " Luna points to her and Colson's conjoined lyric lined papers, showing him where she think his part fits.
"So, what... After... " Colson asks as he flips through a few chords on his own electric.
"Yes... Exactly. Wanna try it?" Luna asks as she feels the piece lock into both of their brains.
Colson nods as Luna calls it From The Top. Her lead guitar whining for a couple chords before Baze's bass pops in to even her out. Followed by the unique beat pick up by Sam's thunderous drums and Colson's quick paced rhythm. Luna steps up to the mic, her vocals dancing through the lyrics as Colson slides in to reiterate everything she's claiming.
"FUUUUUCK YES!!" Luna shouts after they slam it out. "Quick break and then another couple run thrus?" She asks to everyone's agreement as she bounces around like she's on Meth; she's not, it's just her creative process.
---------------------------------------------------
A quick break means a quick fuck to Luna. Down the hall, in the tiny bathroom. With her senses on overdrive, she's all over Colson. Dropping to her knees to slurp his dick, bringing him close to the edge before releasing him and letting his cock throb as it drags against her outstretched throat.
Bouncing up again with a twinkling gleam, she kisses Colson hard on the mouth. Letting their tongues wrestle playfully with one another before pulling back. Giving him THAT One Look before she hoists herself up onto the sink. With his pants already off, Colson eases himself into Luna's juicy pussy. Making her moan and shudder from his girth. With his hands cradling her face, Colson kisses Luna deeply while her nails grip his ass and she fucks him maniacaly.
"Ooohh FUCK, Bunny! GO!" Luna cries out as her whole body tightens before that beautiful wave of euphoria washes over her.
"God Damn, Loons." Colson pants into her collarbone as she goes limp against his body.
"Mmmm... I FUCKING LoveLOOOOVE Yooou." Luna coos gently in his ear as they rest upon each other
---------------------------------------------------
Luna comes bouncing right out of the bathroom and back to practice without missing a beat. Talking over different chords with Baze, rhythms with Sam, along lyrics and feelings with Rook. Colson gazes at her with love and adoration as he watches her create. It's when he sees how intently Casie's watching Luna too, does it turn into appreciation. Heart bursting with pride that he chose a strong woman to be his wife and a role model to His Peanut.
"It's her... It's always been her." Colson smiles to himself as he allows his mind to drift back to the night at The Gramercy and the mysterious Girl in the Cheetah Print Coat before joining in on their band practice for a song She wrote about Him.

CHAPTER 1
"I still can't believe you're moving."
You sighed, leaning your head on your boyfriend's shoulder. "Don't remind me."
It had been a month since your parents had told you about the big move and school would be starting the next week, which is when you'd be moving.
Ryan lied his hand on your thigh as he squeezed it a bit. "I was thinking, you know," he started, "since you're moving and all... y/n, don't you think it'd be better if we--"
You already knew where this was going. "Break up?" you finished for him. He didn't say anything, causing you to chuckle a bit. "It's alright," you told him. "I've been thinking the same thing."
 "You have?"
You took your head off of his shoulder, looking him in the eyes. "Yeah. I mean, it only makes sense, right? What would be the purpose of staying together?" You gave him a small smile of which he returned. You and Ryan had only been together for 5 months, not really making it a big deal.
"You know I care about you, right?"
"Yes," you confirmed. "Same goes here. Just because we're 'ending this', doesn't mean we're ending us. I'll still keep in contact with you and check up here and there."
Smiling at you, he stuck his pinky finger out. "Promise?"
You quickly interlocked your pinky with his. "Promise."
                                                              ~~
Turns out, saying your goodbyes to your friends wasn't the hard part. You already knew this was going to be a problem but you had been in Korea for over two hours and still had yet to find someone that spoke English. You guys began to settle in your apartment with the help of moving guys, and you had decided that you wanted to take a look around, maybe buy a snack.
Little to no avail, you couldn't find many American snacks like you were expecting to, and when you did, they surely didn't taste the same. Anyway, you was trying to make your way back to your new home when you realized you didn't know where you were going. Google Maps was acting up, and you were too afraid to attempt the Korean you actually did know with local natives. Therefore, you tried to ask, using as much broken English as you could to make it simple on them. However, they weren't very helpful but at least they all seemed nice. You thought maybe if you made one more attempt, you could have hit the jackpot. "Uh, excuse me sir."
The older man stopped in his tracks and stared at you. "Uh... Yes?" He asked, sounding quite nervous.
Right then and there, just from his tone, you knew he wasn't going to be much useful. You politely smiled. "Never mind." You bowed and he went on with his day. Ugh, why were you so scared to speak Korean. You were actually pretty good at it at some point due to your childhood best friend, Shi Ah. Practically her sister, you two were around each other all the time and you easily picked up the language. It was fun because you guys would always say things about people with them right there without them knowing what you two were speaking about.
But, unfortunately, Shi Ah had to move to China Freshman year due to a job opportunity for her journalist parents. The goodbye was extremely hard but you both eventually moved on, you becoming best friends with Mariana and Riley, her doing God knows what. You even fell out of touch so you had no idea what she’d been up to the past few years. It was sad but it quickly became your new normal.
Anyway, you knew, eventually you were going to have to get over your fear of speaking Korean but until then, you sighed and took in the scenery surrounding you to see if anything looked familiar, but nope. You stood there, deciding that maybe it was time to call a parent. As you went to dial your moms number, you suddenly become very distracted.
"Lost?" you heard a voice say.
You looked up from your phone to the girl that now stood in front of you. "You speak English?" you stupidly asked. The girl laughed. "I'm sorry," you apologized, realizing how rude you probably sounded.
"Don't be, it's understandable. What can I help you with though?" The girl was really pretty. She had perfect skin with long blonde hair and bangs that made her wide eyes stand out.
You let out a breath, looking down at your phone. "I need help getting back home."
She giggled. "Already? Come on." She then proceed to walk ahead of you as you, confusingly, followed.
"But wait, you haven't even asked where I live."
"Its alright, we're in the same neighborhood. I saw you earlier," she explained. It then made sense. However, you had not seen her. The girl was gorgeous, you must admit, so you would have remembered seeing her.
"So we're neighbors," you stated.
"Yup."
"What's your name?"
Still walking, she looked back at you and smiled. "Jinsoul. But my English speaking friends call me Zoè. Say which ever you'd like."
You nodded, repeating her name in your head a few times. A habit you picked up in order to remember people’s names.
"And you?" she asked.
"Y/n."
"That’s pretty," she complemented you. “It’ll be hard to forget.”
Only a short block later, you guys were back into the neighborhood. "Thank you so much," you said as you began to reach your doorstep. "I owe you."
After exchanging numbers, she informed you that she only lived a corner away from you and that if you ever needed anything, you could just ask.
______
The next day, you were starting school. You walked around the corner and saw your mom in the kitchen cooking breakfast. You knew that your Dad didn't leave the house until 9 am. "Morning, Mom," you greeted her.
She turned away from the pancakes she was in the middle of making and smiled at you. "Y/n! Morning baby, are you excited for school?"
You shrugged your shoulders while smirking as you placed your back pack on the kitchen island table. "I guess. I don't really know what to expect though."
"Well if there's any advice I can give you, it's : Don't stress. Seriously, it'll make everything go wrong."
Instead of a reply, you sighed, still feeling sleepy. "Why are you up so early?" you asked her.
She then proceeded back to making the pancakes. "For you."
"Oh no, you didn't need to do that, Mom. I'm about to leave out."
She looked at you with a confused expression on her face. "Well then what are you going to eat?"
"There's a store around the block, I was just gonna grab a quick snack and head to the school early."
"Early?" she wondered.
You shook your head. "Yup. Want to get my schedule 100 percent accurate and get a mini tour of the building before it gets too crowded." Your mom kind of smirked, looking at you from the side of her eyes. You giggled. "What?"
She shrugged her shoulders. "Nothing, it's just nice seeing you be responsible and positive on the first day. I know you didn't exactly picture your senior year to go this way but I just want you to make the best of it and I think you're off to a good start so far, sweetie."
You smiled. She was right, you guess. You did feel very out of place but not in a bad way exactly. You'd rather be home but you weren’t. You were in Seoul, South Korea and what would you be able to do about it? Nothing. So why not do what you can and make it a good experience rather than a negative?
She then turned the stove off and fully looked at you. "Get going. Have a nice day of school!"
As soon as you left the apartment building, you saw the girl from the day before walking in your direction. She beamed widely at your appearance. "Y/n!" she yelled.
You gave her a gentle smile, waiting for her to catch up with you. Once she did, you both continued walking together. "You look nice for your first day."
"Thanks, you look nice too!"
You started to think that she was also going to the store. So you both walked in silence for a little bit until you arrived there. The bell dinged on the door as she opened it. The older cashier man looked at you strangely. She noticed this. "Don't mind him," she said. "He does this to everyone."
You shook your head understandingly. "Okay."
She went over to the fridge section and grabbed banana milk, as did you, then a pack of peanuts and you went up to pay for your stuff while she was still looking. Once she was done, you two stepped back out into the hot heat. Only a few moments later, a group of three good looking guys showed up, talking amongst themselves as they headed to school as well in their uniforms. This made you believe you were getting closer to the bus stop.
On the side of you, you heard Jinsoul let out a slight laugh, making you turn to her. She was looking at the boys. Next thing you knew, they were looking back at her and walking over towards you guys. "A-are they coming over here?" you stuttered.
"Looks like it," she replied cooley, a small smirk glued to her face.
You quickly gave your hair a little fix as you both suddenly stopped walking, waiting for the boys to join.
"Yah, Jinsoul!", one of them said. He continued to speak in Korean as you zoned out, worried about if they would try to speak to you too. Sooner or later, you heard your name being said by Jinsoul and the boys all kind of glanced your way, throwing you off track.
They eventually turned their attention back to Jinsoul, continuing their conversation. All except the one boy, whom was the most adorable of them all. He blankly stared at you, his eyes even squinting a bit.
You shifted one foot to the other as you looked down at the pavement, slightly uncomfortable with this. You then heard him laugh and when you looked back up, he was smiling at you. You nervously smiled back before he finally went back to paying attention to Jinsoul. They spoke in some more Korean.
After a good minute or two passed, you heard them saying goodbye, the cutest one being the only one to wave at you. Once they were out of ear shot, you turned to Jinsoul. "Uh, Jinsoul?"
"Hm?" she wondered, nonchalantly.
"Who were they?"
She laughed loudly before covering her mouth quickly. "Really?" she asked. "You really don't know who they are?"
Of course you didn't know who they were, why was she expecting you to? You tilted your head slightly. "I mean, I'm not from here," you explained.
"True." She began to walk again, you following. "They're all idols."
"Idols?" you wondered. "As in?"
"As in 'famous', y/n."
You slightly hesitated, letting this new profound information soak into your brain. "Famous as in?"
"They sing. Dance. Rap. They're idols. K-pop idols."
You knew of K-pop, you looked it up upon arriving to Seoul but were no expert at it and of course the only people you ever even slightly heard of were Psy, Exo and Got7. Other than that, you were completely ignorant to the Korean pop industry. "Are they all in the same group?"
She shrugged her shoulders. "Two of them are. The other one, aka, my friend, is still a trainee, which means he hasn't debuted yet but he's training to."
"Interesting." You walked a few more seconds in silence until you absolutely had to ask their names. Specifically for the one guy.
She deviously smiled, already knowing what was up your sleeve. "I see what you're doing," she stated. "But if you insist. My friend's name is Bae Joon Young. We call him Jacob. The other one is Kim Taehyung and the one that you seem interested in is Park Jimin."
"Jimin," you repeated. "But wait. If they're all famous, why were they in uniform to go to school?"
"Because they have to," she told you. "They all made an agreement that if they ever dropped out of school, they are eligible to be dropped from their company. Plus Taehyung and Jimin just debuted so they have to listen to their company right now. It's a pretty logical idea if I do say so myself."
You guys finally arrived at the bus stop and she explained to you what you would do after being released at the first stop. You both went to different schools. While you went to a Foreign school, she attended a performing arts school with a ton of other inspiring and/or famous people.
Of course you saw the boys again at the bus stop but they did not bother you guys this time, instead, they met up with their other friends that were also at the bus stop. The bus eventually pulled up around 7:30am and everyone got on board. Since both schools were basically right across from each other, all students got off at the same spot too. The only difference is that you and about two other students had to walk an extra block before actually getting to the International school. Once you finally arrived there, you took a deep breath and headed inside.
A/N: Bruh, I’m sorry this chapter was so BORING but it was the 1st. It should get a lil more interesting moving forward since we got most introductions out of the way. More Jimin to come next chapter!
ALSO: I’ll be putting a gif of a main character each chapter at the end! For this chapter, we have Jinsoul, the friendly neighbor and school bus buddy!

The Art of Falling in Love-Finn Wolfhard × Reader
Chapter Four is here...
Chapter Five: Film Day 5
Chapter Six coming soon...
Word Count 1.3k
Warnings: some curse words, fluff at the end
Tumblr media
Today is Friday. You are so excited for the weekend because you three don't have to film on the weekend's! Today, you on the other hand, do not get to film. It is Boris and Theo's day. They have to go to the store and steal food, then they go back and have a little scene to shoot and then we all have the rest of the day.
Finn "I don't know why he couldn't just add you in for the day.."
You chuckle, "It's fine, Finn. All next week we are filming together again. It's only for the day. Oh! And I don't have to wear the prosthetic next week!" You wiggle in his arms and he giggles at your excitement.
Finn "I know babes. I just love filming with you, that's all."
"I know, I love it too, I mean that's how we got to meet." He leans down and kisses your forehead.
Finn "Thankfully, I still can't believe you're mine."
"Well believe it, cause I'm not going anywhere." You look up at him and he kisses you gently. The more and more he kisses you, the more bliss you feel.
….
Oakes came into your trailer while you are eating, "Hey! How was your night last night? I wanna know the details!"
You giggle at his excitement, "He took me to the beach at sunset and we danced and then he asked me."
He rolls his eyes, "That's not details-" he gets interrupted by Finn coming back in after getting his wardrobe on: the same black blazer and a cat shirt underneath. He looks so good that you can't help but take in his appearance and smirk to yourself.
Finn "Whatcha guys doin'"
Oakes "I wanted to hear all the details from last night!" He walks over to you, goes from behind and wraps his arms around your waistband.
Finn "Oh yeah? You sure you wanna know everything?"
Oakes "Well I know you guys didn't do it yet so yes, I wanna know the details of how my best friend's got together."
Finn chuckles, "How could you be so sure?!"
"Finn!" He tightens his grip around you and you three burst out laughing.
Finn "Alright, alright…." He told Oakes all of the details about last night, even the songs that we listened to. It was really cute how he remembered even the smallest details.
Oakes "Damn, that's really romantic.."
Finn "I told you that I wanted to make it special, I wasn't going to just straight up ask you, that isn't romantic."
"Well I loved every minute of last night, babe. You did good." He leans over and kisses your cheek.
Oakes "I knew from day one that he liked you, Y/n."
"So did I but I didn't believe it. It felt too good to be true."
Finn "Awe babe! How did I get so lucky, Oakes?"
Oakes "It's cause you're awesome, brother. Everyone that meets you loves you." Finn smiles as a thank you. You three continue to talk until John yells for them to shoot their scenes.
__________________________________
In the grocery scene, Finn looked so good it was insane. You loved being able to witness him act in person. Seeing him switch off and be a completely different person is astonishing.
John "Cut! Alright, time to head back to the houses for the next scene guys." Finn spots you behind John and smiles. You start to walk up to him but he decides to charge at you, pick you up by the hips and toss you over his shoulder. You both laugh hysterically and he runs you to the bus: yours and all of your co-stars transportation to each location.
Finn gives you a quick kiss on the lips and then runs to his spot in front of the camera.
Oakes "I think this is going to be fun."
Finn "Yeah, next week is going to be fun too. We get to end strong." They fist-bump each other and then John yells "action."
Finn walks up to the counter and opens up a cabinet, taking out a bag that has pills in it.
Boris "What's this?"
Theo "Uhh I don't know...vitamins? Xandra said that that's what they are."
Boris "Vitamins?"
Theo "Yeah.."
Boris "This is not Vitamins, Potter. This is vicodin...can get you high!" Oakes rolls his eyes and continues to cut the steak that he stole from the store. Finn sits down and looks out the window to see Sarah Paulson bathing in the sun.
Boris "Do you think she sells?"
Theo "Her? No, she works at a bar in the middle of nowhere."
Boris "oh..then she can't be selling drugs!" He laughs, "I thought that you were from New York?"
Oakes doesn't answer, only continues to eat.
Boris "Uh..she is hot!"
Theo "Ew!"
Boris "You don't like her?"
Theo "No! I think my dad was seeing her when my mom was still alive. He said that he was going on these work trips but I think that he was seeing her instead."
Boris "So?! That's on him, don't blame her! Or this little dog here, what's he called?"
Theo "Popper." Boris reaches over the table and snatches a piece of steak and hovers it over Popper. "Hey!"
Boris *speaking Russian*, hands it to the dog "Good boy."
Theo "That cost 20 dollars!" Boris smirks, "It would have cost 20 dollars!"
Tumblr media
They both laughed and then there was a knock on the door. Oakes gets up and goes to the door to see who it is.
Theo "Can I help you?"
"Oh hello, is your father home?"
Theo "No he isn't, can I take a message for him?"
"Uh...no. I don't want to disturb. Just let him know I was here, okay?" And just like that, the guy left.
John "CUT! Perfect job, guys!"
Finn gets up and stretches his limbs.
"You guys did so good!"
Oakes "Thanks!"
Finn "Thanks babe. Do you think the audience would like it?"
"Of course! You two are incredible." Finn blushes and pulls you into his side.
Oakes "After we are done getting cleaned up, wanna go out for lunch?"
Finn "Hell yeah. I'm starving."
__________________________________
Finn drives you three to a Subway. You all get huge subs and large drinks with chips as a side.
Oakes "Oh man, this looks so fucking good." He says as he sits down in front of you.
"I know! Did we all get the same thing?"
Finn sits down next to you.
Finn "Yup!" You three start laughing because that was not planned.
Oakes "How the hell did that happen? We ordered separately!"
Finn "I don't know. All I know is that I'm starving and this looks fucking delicious." You laugh and lean into his side.
"What do you guys wanna do this weekend?"
Oakes "hmm.."
Finn "We could just drive around, sightsee."
"That sounds good!"
Oakes "And if we get bored we can just go to the movies or go shopping."
"Hell yeah!" You guys finish up your food and head out.
__________________________________
When nightfall hit, Oakes went to bed early and Finn asked for you to stay in his trailer. He gives you a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie and you throw your hair up in a messy bun. Finn wears the same as you and climbs into the small bed that you were sitting on.
Finn "Wanna watch some Netflix?"
"Yeah, I'll get your laptop." He gets comfortable and waits for you to come back. "Okay, what show?"
Finn "Hmm, let's watch The Office!" You immediately find it and put it on. You place it on the table in front of you both and lay down next to him. He pulls you into his chest and nuzzles his face in the crook of your neck. You hum to the feeling.
Finn "If you fall asleep babe, goodnight."
"Goodnight babe." You fall asleep halfway through the middle of the episode with a smile on your face from being in the man's arms that you love so dearly.

The wrath of Winter
Part 9 and End
"The baby? Now ??" Bill writes.
"I'm sorry to stop your mourning!" she said, addressing the Indians.
With compassion, they interrupt their prayer and head for Penny.
"No time to waste!"
Everyone takes him under the village shaman's teepee.
"Come on now, don't panic! Breathe calmly and start pushing!" said Lorelei at her side. Aiyanna even agreed to join the delivery.
"Come on! Penny! Come on! Penny! We're pushing"! Sing along Bill to cheer on Penny.
"Bill! For heaven's sake! Shut up! Aaaah! It's too hard!" she writes, sweating.
"Don't give up darling! Go on! Hold my hand as hard as you can!" said Lorelei, shaking her hand tightly.
"And breathe between each push!" said Aiyanna who was standing in front of her, between her legs, long cloths of linen in her hands.
"I'm ... I'm scared! Gnnnh!" breathes Penny, worried.
"No, don't be afraid! We're all here! You're strong Penny! Go on!" exclaims Bill.
After several intense minutes, a head finally comes out.
"The head! There is a head!" writes Aiyanna.
"Do you hear? This is the last step! Put all your strength into it!" said Lorelei, encouraging Penny.
It did not take me long to take the baby out, little cries are heard, he is there and very much alive.
"Ooh! My god Penny! You did it!" Bill writes with tears in his eyes. He walks towards the baby, Aiyanna was starting to cover him.
"So? Sex?" he asks.
"You lucky, this is Wicicala." Aiyanna replies.
"This is … ?"
"It's a girl." she said smiling.
"Oh my gosh! Lorelei! She's a girl!" said Bill, taking his daughter in his arms, he was the happiest of dads. He hands the baby to Penny.
"Hello my sweetie!" said Penny, positioning her against her chest. But it was cut by another violent contraction.
"Aaaah! It's coming back !!"
"Huh? What's the matter? Darling!" Lorelei panic.
"I think ... it's not over." whispers Aiyanna.
"What? A second is coming?" Bill writes, his eyes wide.
"Ya, I can already see the head!"
Penny had twins! To the delight of all. Finally the second is out. She was also a little girl!
"Twins! We had twins!" cries Bill, happier than ever.
"Mos Iwayake (* twins girls) !!" Aiyanna writes to the tribe.
Tumblr media
They were all happy, especially it was the first time they saw two babies born at the same time.
"Do you want to be alone?" Aiyanna asks Penny, Bill and Lorelei.
"Just a moment, thank you Aiyanna." replies Penny, exhausted.
Calm back, Bill and Penny held their daughters in their arms. Lorelei looked at them with tenderness.
"They are very beautiful." she says.
"But how can we tell them apart?" Bill asks.
"Look, one has red hair! The other has brown hair!" replies Penny.
"And you found first names?" wonders Bill.
"It was not easy but after long thought, the one who is red will be called ... Marilyn!" said Penny chuckling.
"Marilyn Hemsworth? She will take your last name!" said Bill, happy.
"Yes! Lorelei, I leave you the choice for the second!"
"Me? But ... I haven't thought about that." she said, embarrassed.
"She's our daughter, I'm sure you'll find it! Go darling!"
Lorelei looks at the second little girl, at length.
"What do you say about ... Barbara?" she said calmly.
"Barbara? How cute!" Penny replies with a smile.
"It sounds very ... serious woman! I love it! Like you!" exclaims Bill.
"Welcome to the world my little Marilyn, my sweet Barbara." said Penny, hugging her two moaning daughters.
"We are proud of you." say Lorelei and Bill, taking Penny's hand.
"The family is growing, it is thanks to you that I was able to hold on, I was so afraid of losing you."
"We will always be there for you."
The two of them approach to kiss her on the forehead but they knock on the forehead, making Lorelei and Bill blush.
"Sorry…"
"No hehe it was awkward on my part."
"Hey, I see your little game!" interrupts Penny.
They laugh in heart, outside however, it was another atmosphere. Aiyanna preferred to isolate herself from the tribe, wanting to mourn. She was holding her brother's archer, his weapon of war.
"What to do without you? I'm lost ..." she said on her knees. She looks up at the sky and bursts into tears. Her brother died for her, he died a hero for his tribe. Then like a light noise, leaves surround it followed by a dust of stars. A huge autumn colored horse stands in front of her. She is afraid of the size of it, she moves back nervously. The horse watches her for long minutes and advances slowly. Aiyanna notices a familiar stain on his chest, an arrow pointing down. Slowly, the horse transforms into a human, and not just any: Suka.
"Mitaksi ki (* little sister)" he said looking at her.
"Sukawaka!" she rushes against him, she against his chest and cries with hot tears.
"Why are you crying ..." Suka asks after a long minute of silence.
"You're no longer there ..." replies his sister, unable to look up.
"You forgot what I said? I will always be there for you, watching over you." he said, stroking her hair.
"I can't seem to be strong, mourning too complicated to bear."
"One month you have to last, and you're not alone anymore."
"Take revenge! I must avenge you!"
"Hiya ... revenge is not the best solution."
"Who taught you that?"
"Wasicu, right?" Suka smiled, thinking of Bill.
She fell silent, thinking back to everything they had done together, what he had taught her.
"Ate (*dad) and I are looking at you. Promise you will be strong." he said, backing away gently.
"Ya ... I promise." Aiyanna responds gently, trying to wipe away her tears.
"Maybe I never told you, I always thought so, I love you ..." he breathes before becoming a mustang again and disappearing into the sky in a dust of stars.
"I love you too ..." whispers Aiyanna, her eyes still fixed on the sky, acquiring a small smile.
Under the teepee, Lorelei was preparing the last things before leaving.
"Are you sure you want to go now? In the middle of the night?" Bill asks.
"The tribe is in mourning, I think we should leave them alone, and then for the little ones, it would be better."
"Okay, but don't we say goodbye? Do you want to sneak out like this?"
"Okay, okay ... But don't hang around, Penny has to rest." she replies.
At the same time, the Indian chief disembarks.
"Are you leaving already?"
"Great Wakicuza ... Ya ... I accomplished my mission. As promised, we are leaving." said Lorelei, bending down. He puts her hand on his head.
"Alkoun Na, you have shown great courage, you have brought Wakayaja Bloketu back alive, the seasons are now finally reunited. You and his people are saved."
"I did it to save those I love, and the whole country."
"You and your friends are free to leave, you will always be welcome in the tribe. We have repaired your cart."
"Thank you again Wakicuza…"
They all go out, Penny goes upstairs with her daughters, both asleep. Bill hesitates for a moment, he must say goodbye to someone important.
"Wait a moment Lorelei ... I'm coming back."
Aiyanna was not far away, she had heard of Lorelei's departure.
"Bill, are you leaving already?" she asks.
"Yes, you don't hold it against me? I have to stay with the girls." he replies, taking her both hands.
"Hiya (*no) , I don't hold it against you. You have your fatherly duty." she said smiling.
"I'm sorry for your brother, I wish I knew him a little more."
"You don't apologize. He protected us, he understood who you were."
"He will always be there ... In your heart." he takes her in his arms for a long time.
"I promise to come as soon as I can. Otherwise, I will write to you."
"I'll wait for you, Bill…" said Aiyanna looking him in the eye.
He puts his hand on her cheek and they share a last kiss.
"Take care of yourself."
"I love you, Bill."
"Me too ..." he said smiling.
They let go of their hands, not wanting to leave the look. All say goodbye with their hands. Farewells are painful but keep the best moments and promise a close return.
Finally arrived in the Showdown Valley, the landscape magically changes, the snow melts and the sun reappears. Summer has returned. The villagers could not believe their eyes, the grass grew back, the snow gave way to the stone paths. In the distance, the summer child looked at them, in the twinkling of an eye, it disappears in a cloud of dust. Lorelei, Penny and Bill look at each other, deciding not to say anything about this sudden change in the weather.
"Ah! Miss Hemsworth! Miss Undertaker! You are back!" Doc Carver arrives at them.
"Yes! Well, time flies, summer is here." Penny smiles.
"Oh but ... I see that you are not alone!" he said, staring at the babies.
"Yup, I gave birth in town, even if I had to give in, thanks to Lorelei, it was the apocalypse outside. It's two little girls, Marilyn and Barbara."
"They are beautiful. Two little desert flowers." compliments Carver, smiling.
"Yeah! They got it from me!" boasts Bill.
"They don't have your ears, either." said Lorelei, mocking.
"Hehe, anyway, congratulations to the three of you." said Carver.
"Now I have to go to rest, thank you very much, Doc."
"I hope you don't hold it against me for ... You know ..." said the doc, a little ashamed.
"Come on my dear, it's over, I don't hold it against you." Penny replies with sincerity, before entering the house.
Later that night, Penny and Lorelei stayed together for a while, watching their children.
"I have never been so happy, a dream come true." said Penny, blossoming.
"We were hoping to have one, but lucky, you had two." said Lorelei, near her.
"Take one in your arms."
"Are you sure? I'm going to wake them up ..."
Gently and with great delicacy, Lorelei takes Marilyn in her arms, holding her head well, she looks at her with love, the little one opens her eyes at the same time.
"Oh… Hello Marilyn, are you finally opening your eyes?" she said with a soft voice.
Penny was both happy and surprised that Lorelei acted so kindly to a child when she did not seem at ease in front of them.
"I have never seen you so caring for a child."
"I'm progressing, hehe. I also believe I have instinct."
"I wonder what made you so motherly." said Penny, resting on her shoulder.
"Oh, let's say a certain child made me understand this." she was thinking of the summer child, who had made her understand who she really was, a woman with a strong but endearing character. She vows to protect her children, to be an exemplary mother.
"It almost makes me want to be a mom, and put my work aside."
"Oh darlin '..."
"Sorry to interrupt you, I want to see my little girls too." said Bill, hopping up to them.
"I'll leave you, I'm in the living room, if there is a need." said Lorelei, leaving the room.
Bill takes his two daughters in his arms, his gaze was that of a happy father, his eyes filled with tears of joy.
"They're so beautiful. Like you Penny." he says.
"Oh Bill, it touches me, they look like you too."
"It remains to be seen their characters when they grow up."
"For the moment, they have just been born, give them time." said Penny, taking them back.
"I listened to you and Lorelei a bit, and ... would she be ready for her too, having a child?" he asks.
"I don't know, but it looks like she would be ready to assume her role as mother. She insinuated him quickly. Why? Are you in a hurry?" she said laughing.
"No, not now, hehe. But if someday she would like, I'll be there. I hope she trusts me now but I don't intend to force her."
"Take your time"
"Rest for the moment, sweetie." Bill answers with a little kiss on the forehead.
He leaves the room to finally join Lorelei.
"What an adventure ... isn't it?" he asks, arriving near her, the latter looking out at the horizon.
"Better than the time I fought Faceless. There, I had your lives in my hands, I learned a lot during this journey."
"I hope you will forgive me for what I said about you, we were pissed off and ..."
"It's been a long time since I've forgiven you. On everything ..." she said, still staring outside, smiling.
"Even if I look like a bandit?" he said, teasing her.
"Yes, dear…"
"And now, I ... could I live with you two a little?"
"You are free to be here when you want Bill." she said turning her head, looking at him with a slight blush.
He approaches her, blushing just as much.
"I heard you wanted to be a mother too."
"Oh, well, if you think about it, I would like, yes, but not here now."
"I know, dear. When you want." he said, putting his hand on hers.
They keep looking at each other until a thought brings them back to reality.
"Sorry, but I'm going to prepare the crib for the little ones." said Lorelei, withdrawing her hand.
"Do so, beautiful undertaker." said Bill with his charming smile.
She rolls her eyes, laughing. Once gone, Bill searches for a sheet and picks up a pen and ink.
"Dear eternal flower, you know who is writing to you, now that we have returned, Lorelei, Penny and I, you remain in my thoughts, the letter will be very short but sincere. Since I met you, I have not been that an uncultivated bandit, after your acquaintance, I felt human, after having kissed you, I feel new and in love. I don't know when I will see you again but I will think of you. Now I take care of my daughters, and I'm watching over Lorelei and Penny. Hoping to hear from you soon, I hope you can read me.
I love you.
Bill, Showdown Bandit.
he folds the letter in 4 and leaves the house. A little gust of wind came to take his letter from his hands, he quickly understood that it was the spirit of the wind, the autumn child who was going to bring his letter to Aiyanna.
"Ah, that will save me from taking a horse." does he think.
The letter quickly reaches Aiyanna. After reading it, she places it against the chest, a smile on her face and her heart filled with joy.
"I understand you, Bill, hope to see you again soon." she said looking at the sky, dreaming of the near future, with her love.
End

Flamboyantly Worked it Out
(Tengen Uzui)
Summary: Your son is sick right in Kodomo no Hi festival, he wanted to spend it so badly with his family and friends, not wanting to make him unhappy you, Tengen, and the rest of his wives decided to make an "indoor festival" for him
Admin's Note: My first fic about Tengen and reader, this is all for you my dearest fellow Tengen stans, But I'm fully aware that you mostly spend time with his wives too
Tumblr media
"I have renewed my clear and flamboyant priority..."
"First the four of you..."
"Then respectable humans"
"Then myself"
"Even if we're no longer in the corps, we're still going to protect the plain and carefree people, of course since we're still demon hunters till the end of the day"
"Hehehe! Papa!!"
...
"Ah.. How could I forget?"
"I mean the five of you..."
"and frankly speaking, you guys are all so precious to me, so remember..."
"... Don't die"
"ACCHOO!!!" a high pitched sneeze enacted out from your son's bedroom, lately he's been sneezing a lot "Mom/Dad...what happened? My nose feel stuffy" you compared your body temperature with his "Oh my, Ginjiro, you catch a cold"
"Is it bad? Can I still participate in children's day?" He say as he break into another sneeze, you had a sinking feeling inside your stomach, your son, Ginjiro had been looking forward to spend children's day with his moms and dad/dads, you gulped, trying to be as gentle as possible to say that he can't participate in the festival he's been looking forward to.
"Ginjiro, I'm sorry, but you had to rest... Can you please do that for us?"
Ginjiro's (E/C) eyes start to tear up, you feel guilty to see your seven year old son can't do much for now "B-but...I have been looking forward to this day... I even made my own Kabuto helmet..." You sighed and gently stroke his white hair "I'm so sorry, but chin up... there's always next year..."
Little Ginjiro just sighed and lay back down to his futon, dejectedly, "... It's okay mom/dad... You're just looking out for me...If that's the case, I'll just take a rest..., Love you Mom/dad..." You sighed and pat his head "We love you too, son..." Ginjiro smiled and close his eyes as you came out of his bedroom, sighing.
"I know that sigh quite well, (Name), is everything alright?" Hinatsuru asked you, visibly concerned "It's Ginjiro... he's got a fever and..." You sighed for the second time "...Do you remember that he wanted to go to children's day festival together with all of us this year? Well I'm afraid he can't..."
Hinatsuru then pouted sadly as she heard that her son is sick, with a sigh, she put a comforting hand on you "Oh, I'm so sorry, dear (name), I can't imagine how sad our son is" you sighed softly but smiled at her "It's okay, Hina... It's not even your fault" Hinatsuru hugged you and stroked your (H/C) hair to console you, you lean in to her motherly touch.
"Oh! But I just have a good idea!" Hinatsuru say beaming up, you looked up to her, slightly tilting your head "What is it, Hina?"
"What if we just "bring the festival in"?" She smiled at you, as you tilt your head again "How can we do that, Hina? She just smiled at you until you get what she meant by that.
"Oh, I see how it is" you say smiling at her "Well all and all, we're going to make a koinobori, each carp represent us as his parents, the biggest and black carp, Magoi, symbolize Tengen-sama/and me as his father(s), the red and smaller carp banner, higoi, represent us/all of you as his mothers, Ginjiro is our only son, and frankly speaking he's also our first son, so he's going to have blue carp banner"
Hinatsuru listened closely and nodded as she did, "I see, very well then, what about the food?"
"Hmm, if I recall correctly, we make sweets for him is chimaki (bamboo dumpling) along with Mochi and various array of rice cakes, I don't remember much, but we could always ask Suma, she and Ginjiro had a lot of fun on last year's festival, so she might knew"
"Ah, okay then! Suma and I will handle the sweets, you and Makio can make the carp banners, and that leave Tengen-sama to watch over Ginjiro, and... Maybe stall him for a bit so he won't know what surprise we store for him" you smiled at her and nodded "Great idea! Well then, chop chop! We can't waste the sunlight!"
Hinatsuru smiled as she see how hyped you are, she chuckled and kissed your cheek "Well let's get to work, dear wife/husband" you giggled and do the same gesture to her as you scurry off to find Makio.
----
"You need me to help make a carp banner? Well, no problem, (name)! I have plenty of free time to make those!" Makio said, grinning at you "That's good to hear, Makio, well let's gather up the items we need!"
"Alright, what do we need?"
You recall what items are required to make the carp banner "Let's see, we need a ryudama, yaguruma, and fukiganashi, I'm sure the general store had those for us and we could make the carp banner ourselves" Makio nodded as she memorized the items you said "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get them now!" She said as she headed out and you follow her.
You and her then bumped into Tengen "Whoa there, what brings my wives/my wife and husband today? You both look agitated"
"Ah, Tengen-sama! Well...we..."
"No, let me guess, you both are going to get item for the carp banners, right?"
"Actually, yes, has Hinatsuru told you what to do?"
He nodded with (unusually) gentle smile on his face "Yeah, she did, don't you worry, my girls/and boy, I will get him busy with my flamboyant tales" he said, slightly flipping his hair as you and Makio giggled at him "But on one condition"
"What is it, Tengen-sama?" You and Makio said in unison "You should let me help you both so this impromptu festival will goes flamboyantly" you and Makio share a look and then nods "Only when Ginjiro is asleep"
"Deal, well now godspeed, you two, time's a wastin'!" He said as he gave you both a "flamboyant" hug as you and Makio headed out from Uzui estate.
----
"Well! Isn't it just nice! It's been quite a while since I came to the town aside from taking Ginjiro to children festival all those years ago" Makio said taking in the bustling town, people are passing by, vendors selling so many stuff and even food and array of unique shop, "Well since we're both are kunoichi/we're a shinobi we don't have much time to act like normal people"
Makio grinned and elbow your side, slightly chuckling "Hey, I take an offense, I can be normal too, you know?!" You giggled at her "I dunno, you looked angry and hungry 24/7 so basically you're hangry, get it?"
"Oh, I show you hangry!" She said laughing as she chases you as you run while giggling like a kid.
You and Makio had cat and dog chasing game around the town, you were at your advantage at least until Makio use her ninja trick and got you.
"Gotcha, you cute girl/guy!"
"Aaahh!! Noo!! Spare me mercy, Divine Makio!!"
You and Makio burst out laughing before you remember why you're in the town now "Oh dear, we better get those items now!"
"You're right, I'm having fun chasing you around though" she said giggling as you both headed to the general store, a kind old lady greet you both with a smile
"Well, hello, hello! What a pair of beauties/cute couples you are, is there anything I can help with?"
"Well, old lady, do you have...umm...what was it again, (name)?"
"A Ryudama, yaguruma and fukiganashi"
"Yeah, those things"
"Ahh, I see you're going to celebrate the children day, give me a moment, dearies, I'll be right back" the old lady said as she got the item you both required.
"You know, it's a good idea to have the festival in the estate so little Ginjiro can have a good time with all of us, last year we take him to the festival separately, you on his first year, then Hinatsuru, me, Tengen-sama then lastly with Suma"
"Hehe, well it's Hinatsuru's idea, I'm just doing what I need to do" Makio smiled warmly at you and put her hand on your shoulder "Still, it's good to know that you both find a way so we can cheer our son and let him enjoy the festival even though he's under the weather"
"Well, anything for our only kid, and maybe...if Tengen-sama agrees, our future kids too" you say wiggling your eyebrows as Makio laughed and playfully smacked your shoulder "(name)! You naughty girl/boy!" You both burst out laughing again as the old lady bring the required items "Here we go, dearies"
"Thank you, ma'am!" You took out a pouch of money, but the old lady stopped you "Oh, it's free for you, dearie, I may be old but I can't help hearing your conversation with this lady, I take it you made a koinobori for your sick son?"
"Yeah, we are, he's been looking forward to this and there's no way we make him sad just because he can't enjoy it with other kids" Makio said, huffing a bit "Well, you both are certainly are good parents for him! I wish that he'll get well soon so he can enjoy the festival"
You and Makio smiled at her and bowed your head a bit "Thank you very much, old lady! Sorry for the trouble!"
"Think nothing of it, dearies"
You thanked her once again before you and Makio headed home.
-----
"Hina, Suma, how's the food?" You said as you checked the other wives at the kitchen "Oh, (name)! We're doing great! We're just going to make the kashiwa mochi and the Kabuto namagashi, how's the carp banner doing?" Suma asked you as she made the pickled oak leaf for the mochi "Oh we're going to make it now, if you're finished why don't you join us on drawing the carp banner?"
"Oh! I don't know...I mean! I would love to but what if the carp banner turned out to be a mess because of me??"
Hinatsuru shakes her head at Suma "Oh, Suma, it's okay, you're going to do well, and (name) we will join you later, alright?"
"Alright! We're at the genkan if you looked for us!" You said as you headed to the entrance area to join Makio making the carp banner, and to see Tengen already sit next to her
"Oh, Tengen! You're here, I take it that Ginjiro is asleep?" You said as you sit down, joining them "Yup, I figured out I'm going to help you and Makio making this carp banner, we're going to make it, flamboyantly!"
You chuckled at him as you took the fabric "Well in that case, we better get going before our son is awake"
The three of you worked on the banners in peaceful silence, sometimes though, you're being cheeky by smearing the fabric paint on your wife and husband's face "Whoops, my hand slipped" you said nonchalantly while drawing the higoi, trying your best to hide your smirk, unfortunately, Tengen saw that and smeared some on your cheek "Oh, the God of Festivies didn't mean to smear a paint on his wife/husband's face" he said jokingly, as you retaliate him "You were saying?"
You and Tengen keep smearing each other faces with the paint, Makio who made the banner for Ginjiro just laughed and shake her head at her wife and husband/husbands antics, "Now, you guys are going to wake Ginjiro and the banner won't be finished!"
You and Tengen share looks before you both smirk at her and smeared a red paint on her face "Ohh, so this is how we're going to finish the banners huh! It's on!"
The three of you basically chasing around trying to "paint each other faces" while laughing
"Ha! In your face, Makio!"
"You're not getting away with that, (name)!"
"Eat my Flamboyant Surprise attack!!"
Tengen manage to get the paint on your and Makio's nose, you gasped with her "The audacity!" You both then tackled Tengen and smear paint all over his face "Aahh!! Betrayed by my wives/my wife and husband!! I have fallen!!"
The three of you burst out laughing, you hear a giggle and to see Hinatsuru and Suma on the doorway smiling at both of you "Well it looks like you both have fun with making the banners"
You, Tengen and Makio sheepishly get up "Hehe, umm...sorry, we got carried away" Hinatsuru just smiled and sit down "Well let's not waste our time"
Suma joined her with a napkin on her hand, wiping the paint off your face "Hehe, you're actually cute with paint on your face, (name)" you smiled at her and kissed her cheek as a thank you gesture "Thank you, Suma-chan" she smiled and clean Tengen's face then Makio as you all continue making the banners and it pole.
"How's the Magoi banner, Tengen-sama?" Hinatsuru said as she helped you paint the higoi banner "I have made the most flamboyant banner the people ever seen!" Tengen said as he flaunt the black carp banner with jewels that similar to his eye patch he had, you and the other wives smiled at him.
"That is a flamboyant banner, alright" you chuckled "Now then, Tengen, if you don't mind can you attach it on the pole along with the fukiganashi?"
He nodded and start to attach the banner and wind bag on the pole,
"Suma!! You got the color mixed up!!"
You and Hinatsuru look over Makio and Suma's banner, the white paint smeared on the blue paint
"Ahhh!! I'm so sorry, Makio-san!! I knew I would mess it up"
"Quit talking like a coward, Suma!"
You, Tengen and Hinatsuru can only sigh as you approach them "It's okay Suma-chan, I will salvage this, you help Hinatsuru on attaching the ring in the carp's mouth"
"O-okay..." She then went to help Hinatsuru as you help Makio salvage the banner, she sighed "We don't have much time to salvage this" you shook your head and smiled at her "We still can, just leave it to me"
You dip the brush in the bowl of water to clean it and cover the white smudges on the carp's body with blue paint and carefully draw it's scales "See, we're almost finished so don't worry about it, Makio"
Makio sighed and smiled at you "Well, I shouldn't doubt you then" you all continue make the banner together and only few hours later, it's finished.
"Well, looks like we flamboyantly worked it out!" Tengen said as all of you all see how the wind fluttered the carp banners "Not really, Tengen-sama, Ginjiro haven't seen this yet so it's not finished yet, besides I have another thing I got for him" Hinatsuru say smiling at him.
"Hmm, yeah you're right, I wonder if he's awake now"
"I'll go check on him then"
His wives smiled at both of you "We'll get the tea and sweets ready then"
----
"Thanks for doing this, (name), it was a flamboyant idea to celebrate children's day like this" Tengen said as you both head to Ginjiro's bedroom, you smiled and shook your head "It was all Hinatsuru's idea, so you'll have to thank her instead"
Tengen smiled at you and ruffled your (H/C) hair "Hey don't sweat it, you both did amazingly and flamboyantly, Suma and Makio too, you don't know how lucky I am that I married to four amazing women/three amazing women and a flamboyant man and I have even more flamboyant son, too"
You chuckled and playfully punched his chest "save your sappy words for later, Tengen" he just smirked and slid open the shoji door and to see your son, huddled in blanket hugging his self made Kabuto helmet.
"Hey there kiddo" Tengen smiled and sit next to him "Hey Dad, sniff, and hey Mom/father" he say smiling weakly "what's up?"
"We know you're feeling under the weather, but do you want to get some fresh air for a bit? Spring wind is never that cold so don't worry" he thought of it for a while then smiled "Yeah, okay"
Tengen smiled and carried him on his shoulders as you both lead him outside "We're sorry that you couldn't celebrated the festival at the town, we knew how much you want to"
Ginjiro only smiled and shook his head "It's okay Mom/dad, I know you're worried about me..."
"Damn right we are so we decided to have a little festivies here and now" Tengen said as you both stepped out of the estate "Huh? What do you mean, da...-" he then looked up at the carp banner and his (E/C) eyes sparkled in happiness "Waahh!! A koinobori!! It looks so cool!! Did you guys made this??"
You and Tengen nodded as he pointed out at the banners "That black one is me/and your dad, the red ones are your moms, and the blue one on the bottom? It's you kid, you look awesomely flamboyant"
"Cool" the little boy marveled the carp banner and bounce up excitedly "This is the first time I saw this up close!! It's so cool!"
You and Tengen share a smile before back to Ginjiro "Hey kid, I know you're supposed to eat something warm like soup, but for today, it's an exception"
If it's possible, Ginjiro's eyes sparkled even more "Really?? What is it??"
"You'll see, your moms prepared something for you"
----
"Ah! You're awake, Ginjiro! Come, come! Sit down and enjoy the food!" Suma said as she excitedly usher Ginjiro to sit, his eyes widen in surprise when he saw array of sweets in front of him
"Wow!! A Kashiwa Mochi!! I got this with Suma kaa-chan last year! Can I eat it? Can I eat it pleeaasee??"
Makio laughed and ruffled his white hair "help yourself! It's all yours!"
"Yay!!" He happily gobbled up the mochi as you, Tengen and the other wives watch him as you all are the rice cakes Hinatsuru made and sipping green tea, you notice once your sullen and sad son became happier as he gobbled up the mochi happily.
"Oh and I have one more thing" Hinatsuru then walked away get something and come back with Kabuto helmet "Here! This is an actual Kabuto helmet to commemorate this day" she said as she displayed it in the middle of the room, Ginjiro excitedly approach it and look at it in awe "Would that mean it's mine too now?" He said looking up at Hinatsuru with his wide and sparkling eyes, she smiled and gently stroked his hair "Yes Ginjiro, We had hope that you will grow into a strong and healthy man just like...-"
"Just like dad/and father!! I will grow up into a strong shinobi and save people..."
The boy strike a dramatic pose
"... Flamboyantly!"
You all laughed at him as if he forget that he's sick, apple really did not fall far from its tree...
"Well, how about it? What's your thoughts on this "in home festival"?" Suma asked him with a smile, Ginjiro smiled brightly that it melt all of everyone's heart.
"This is the best children's day festival EVER!!" he said jumping up and down and hugged all of you "You guys are the best!! I love you all!!"
You share smile with your husband and wives as you both huddled up in a warm hug
"We love you too, Uzui Ginjiro"
