Summary: Moving to Hawkins wasn’t your ideal plan for your senior year of high school, but upon arrival you make some new friends and a relationship you believe may work out, or so you think. Through all of this, you slowly begin to meet the “town freak”, Eddie Munson, and try your best to build a relationship with him, but some obstacles may hold you back. Will true love prevail? (alternate reality)
Warnings: drinking/getting drunk, slight swearing, brief sexual mentions, family abuse, grief of family member
Hawkins, 1985;
Starting your senior year at Hawkins High right in the middle of the semester was not your ideal affair. Cliche cliques and friend groups, useless classes that served no point beyond giving students busy work, and all the drama associated with being a teenager in a small town. Life for you wasn’t pleasant at home, so you took school as a way to get away from the constant arguing and abuse you endured from your father.
When your father took a job across the state to work at the local plant in Hawkins, he dragged you along for the move as you really had no other option. Luckily, with this job came the chance to be alone most nights as he worked night shifts frequently, and when he was home, he was usually too drunk to notice you or passed out in his bedroom. You might be wondering, “where's your mom?” to which I can say she passed away when I was younger. While I barely remember her, I do have faint memories of her that make me smile every once in a while. Her warm hugs, that cheerful laugh she would induce, and overall the love she gave you while she was still here. Your father wasn’t always bad, but once your mother passed, he became a whole new person; someone you didn’t recognize.
After a couple weeks of being a fly on the wall at Hawkins High, you became acquaintances with a few students. The most notable being Nancy Wheeler, a fellow senior at Hawkins, who became your partner in a shared English class and you two hit it off immediately. A bit intimidating she may be, but she was easy to talk to once you got to know her. She gave the best advice when it came to school or boys or pretty much any topic at hand. After becoming closer and closer over the next couple of months, she invited you to a party, to which you agreed to go to, hopeful to meet some new people.
The night of the party, you had met some of her friends, a previous Hawkins High student named Steve Harrington and his friend and coworker, Robin Buckley.
Steve gave you a soft smile and subtle wave upon meeting, “Hey there, y/n” he said. You returned that soft smile to him, waving back as Robin smiled from ear to ear, saying hello and embracing you in a hug that threw you off guard at first.
As Robin pulled back, she rambled about how exciting it was to meet new people, clearly a tad bit intoxicated. You chuckled as you listened to her speak. “You know, Steve never brings me to these things… always talks about how I’m too much and tend to ramble an-... and I’m doing it right now, aren’t I?” She threw the palm of her hand to her forehead with a grimace as you laughed, shaking your head, stating, “No no, not at all. I’m excited to meet some of Nancy’s friends…” you gestured to her, “She has nothing but kind things to say about the both of you.”
After talking with the group for what felt like hours, slowly sipping the beers Steve grabbed for you from the kitchen counter on multiple occasions, you couldn’t help but feel a pair of eyes on you. They bore into the back of your skull, prompting you to turn and see who it might be. Finally, you turn your head to see none other than Billy Hargrove, the school “bad boy”, if you’d even call him that, staring at you with those narrow eyes, swigging at whatever drink he most likely stole from an underclassmen. He was surrounded by other guys, mostly those who looked like they hadn’t showered in days or jocks who thought winning two basketball games in a row entitled them to whatever they pleased. You gulped nervously, diverting your eyes away and taking another sip of your beer. You looked back at Nancy and the others, only to see them talking to one of Steve's friends. You sighed, knowing you had no escape route.
When you turned back to look in the direction of Billy, you noticed he still had his eyes locked on you, smirking as he caught your glance. You blushed slightly, chewing at the inside of your lip, sending him a nervous smile. When he gestured for you to come over with a nob of his head, you were hesitant at first. Finally, stepping away from your group, you headed over towards Billy, staggering a bit from the previous beers you had consumed. Upon reaching him in the crowded living room, he smirked yet again before saying, “You’re the new girl, right?”
Cheeks still red, you nodded with a timid laugh, “That would be me, I’m y/n”
He stood up from the wall he was leaning against, towering over you as he leaned in, closer to your face than expected, “Well, y/n” he purred as he leaned closer to your ear, sending chills down your spine. “Maybe we can get together if you’re free sometime” you could feel his words against your exposed shoulder. It wasn’t a question; more so a demand.
You hesitated, not sure what to say at first. This was the last thing you expected, especially from Billy of all people. But, the alcohol in your system and the urge to meet new people consumed you, so you finally agreed, “Yeah, I think that would be nice,” you said with a hesitant laugh.
He grinned that signature grin of his before continuing, “I was thinking maybe tonight, my place?” His icy blue eyes drilled into yours, giving you no other option other than to shake your head without a word. That was all he needed before he wrapped his arm around your shoulder, walking away with you to the nearest exit. Receiving pats on the back and joking sexual noises from his group of friends who hovered around, to which you couldn’t do anything but blush and nervously chuckle to.
Walking towards the door, you made eye contact with Nancy and her gang, who shot you a nervous look that you didn’t quite catch on to in the moment. The six or seven beers you consumed by this point had not allowed you to see the red flags of going home with none other than Billy Hargrove. You gave her a small shrug with a laugh, telling her you’d be alright. Nancy, Steve and Robin did not like the idea of you leaving with him, but you didn’t care. Maybe this would be good for you, meeting new people was what you wanted, right?
As you got closer and closer to the door, you were met with a slight shoulder check that sent you aback. “Whoa, sorry there sweetheart. It’s a madhouse in here” you looked up to to see brown, doe eyes looking down at you with a smile and ringed hands raised in an apologetic manner. You took the stranger in for a moment, his dark brown, wavy hair down to his shoulders, leather jacket covered in a denim vest with every metal band patch you could think of covering it.
You smiled drunkenly, and before you could say anything, Billy shoved the boys shoulder firmly with a “Watch where you’re going, you fucking freak” as he continued to pulled you through the crowd. Upon reaching the door, you turned back to see those same brown eyes looking at you with concern, wondering if you were in good hands for the night. You sent an apologetic smile, a whispered “sorry”, and he was the last thing you saw before leaving the party for the night.

Wayne finding Eddie's notebook looking at it.
Wayne: "You know you should let me read all your stories."
Eddie going wide eyed because of all the things he's written involving him and Steve and the questionable Star Trek fanfic.
Eddie trying not to give away he's not as wholesome as Wayne thinks he is: "Yea, totally."
Steve could be heard laughing from the other room.
Totally based on a conversation I had with grandmother who wanted to read my stories.

Do you ever feel being struck by a lighting, just looking on someone when they are smiling?
Cause I do...I FUCKING DO! I'm fucking idiot, when talking to her. Stutter for no reason? being nervous around her is a torture... and it's dangerous. I wish demogorgons kill me alive when Nancy knows my feelings towards her, I can't handle it...anymore just... look at that face, who wouldn't get a tomato head when she's near beside you. Yep she's a prissy girl BUT NANCY? NANCY THE BADASS GIRL OF HAWKINS talking with ME, she's quite popular due to her intellectuality in campus, I'm no match for her, she's a genius and I'm just never mind, why would I bring down myself just because I'm crushing on someone that's out of my league...? or it's just I don't have any chance to be with her...yep another reason to keep my distance away, she's having a complicated life plus complicated relationship? I dunno really, I can't just cross on her world, also I don't want to betray Steve... but I just like her who can ever judge me, when I just only crushing on a pretty creature. Why I can't just like someone I can't have?

hellcheer runaway bride au idea
Chrissy Cunningham has had a reputation since HS, first it was Queen of Hawkins High, and now? It’s Runaway Bride of Hawkins. Having already left three grooms at the altar (including her HS sweetheart Jason Carver).
The now-jaded Indianapolis reporter and former Hawkinsite, Eddie “the freak” Munson is determined to see if she’ll run again and heads back into town for her upcoming nuptials. And he gets more than what he bargained for when he falls for the bride and his former crush.
An excerpt (if someone wrote it):
“Didn’t think I’d see you again,” Chrissy said, getting a far-off look in her eyes. “You know, in Hawkins.”
“Well, considering I almost got labeled a, uh, murderer in high school…I’m as surprised as you are.” Eddie responds, an almost painful smile on his lips at the memories.

Can I say something? It's just my opinion, but I don't like to find x reader stories, to later finding out it is in fact not an x reader but an x OC. I don't have something against x OC stories but if I want to read this kind of stories I search for it. And if I want to read an x reader because I want to read Y/N, than I search for it as well. If you write at the beginning that the story has an character with a name or an OC than that's okay, because you told me so I know. But I really don't like to read a story, probably a story I like and imagine myself in it just to read a name of someone else. It doesn't feel personal anymore, you know? And most of the times I stop reading the story because I'm sad. I understand if you want to reach more people so you post those stories under the x reader tag, but please, write at the beginning that it is not an x reader.
Tumblr media
And one thing I totally don't understand, why are some people posting character x character stories in the x reader tag? But that's a topic for another conversation.
I don't attack anyone with this and I'm sorry if someone feels that way. I just posted it here because I don't have friends to talk to.
I wish and hope you have a wonderful day! ✨💕

Warnings: 18+ abusive partner, swearing, sexual mentions, family abuse, interaction between y/n and billy, angst
part 1
Hawkins, 1985;
Three months had slowly gone by after your arrival to Hawkins High, slowly allowing you to blend in with the other students, make new friends and of course… get a boyfriend. Now you might be thinking, “who could you have possibly met within those short few months and fallen in love with?” and to both your surprise and mine, it’s none other than Billy Hargrove. That first interaction at the party Nancy invited you to a while back led one thing to another, and here you are, in a relationship with the most notable guy at Hawkins.
The first few weeks of your relationship went great, with him always taking you out and inviting you over to his house, or you sneaking him over when your father was out working the night shift. You met his stepsister, Max, who you seemed to get along with, despite Billy’s dispute and bitterness towards her.
While with him, he allowed you to explore yourself and take risks, pulling you out of your comfort zone slowly but surely. He introduced you to his friends, allowing you to meet a new batch of students at school. And of course… the sex was a major part of your relationship. Every interaction you two had resorted to sex, but you didn’t mind. You’re young, you’re supposed to take risks and make life exciting, and it was exciting; for the time being at least.
But after being with Billy for a few short months, you got to see the real, authentic side of him; a side you didn’t like. You knew he had a short temper, but you never knew it could be set off like the flip of a switch. He was irritable most days, snarky when he spoke, and took absolutely no back talk. And when you did have something to say, it would usually result in a hand-print size red mark on the side of your cheek, and an occasional bruise or two.
Nancy tried to warn you about him, stating how he was known for his outburst and chaotic behavior, but you pushed it aside. You liked him, and deep down you thought he liked you. But when the outburst got worse and more frequent, you started to think maybe Nancy was right.
You got better at covering up the scratches and bruises with makeup, even though you had prior experience at that from your father. You became a convincing liar, whether it be about why you were late for class or missed lunch with Nancy and Robin. Baggy clothing became your newest best friend and keeping your head down was key to your everyday routine.
As you made your way into the lunchroom, arriving on time for once, you found yourself trudging over to sit beside Robin, right in the middle of whatever conversation her and Nancy were having. They both halted the discussion they were having, looking right at you as you dug into your lunch, oblivious that their eyes were on you. When Robin cleared her throat, you looked up, exchanging glances at both of them with furrowed brows.
“Where have you been all week?’ Nancy blurted out, breaking the awkward silence.
“I’ve just been really busy with school work…” You said in between bites of your mediocre lunch, eyes diverted from hers.
“Mhm,” Nancy mumbled, an eyebrow raised. Robin looked over at you, studying you a bit, which made you tense up. She hasn’t noticed the bruise on your cheek, has she? You covered it so well this morning, you thought.
“What are you doing tonight? I think me, Steve and Nance are gonna go see that new Nightmare on Elm Street 2 movie, you wanna come?” Robin insisted, a smile forming on her lips.
You hesitated at first, remembering Billy would most likely require you to come over like usual. “I can’t, I’m busy tonight.” You stated, watching as the smile faded from Robin's lips. Nancy’s eyes were still locked on you, knowing you were full of it.
”Maybe next week?” you vowed, hoping they would be satisfied with the response.
Honestly, you were too tired to argue, but luckily Robin spoke first. “Yeah, totally. Steve will probably demolish the popcorn by the time the trailers are over anyways. Next time.” She smiled, going back to her lunch.
With an unnoticeable sigh of relief, you finished the remainder of your lunch and pushed yourself up from the table, “Well, I have some work to catch up on before the weekend, book report isn’t gonna complete itself, is it?” You said, mustering up a fake laugh.
You said your goodbyes, waving to the girls before attempting to make your way out of the cafeteria. You kept your head low as you arrived closer to the door, however, a familiar voice caught your attention, “Hey there,” you turned around to see a familiar face with that same long, brown hair from the party a few months ago. A toothy grin appeared on his lips as he continued, “Seems we have a track record of running into one another, don’t we?”
You scoffed out a laugh, shaking your head in agreement, “It sure does,”
He laughed lightly, placing a nervous hand behind his head before abruptly speaking, “Look, I just wanted to formally apologize for that night at the party, I’m not the most steady on my feet after a few beers.” He joked, his eyes never leaving yours.
You finally released an authentic laugh, “It’s okay, I can’t say I’m too steady myself…” you agreed, “Also, sorry about Billy, he can be a bit…”
“Don’t worry about it,” he cut you off with the shake of his hand, “Not the first time I’ve been called a freak before.”
You averted your gaze, an awkward silence filled the air. But, before you could respond, he held out a hand, tattoos scattered over his forearm and silver rings glistening on his fingers, “I’m Eddie, by the way.”
A blushing smile made its way to your face uncontrollably, and you shook his hand in responses, “I’m y/n.”
He leaned down with a charming bow in a theatrical manner, “Well, it’s nice to meet you, m’lady. I hope I see you around here more often… if that's okay with your boy-” he lingered off, a gleam in his eye as he finally released your hand.
You giggled, taking in his dramatic movements, “I think I would like that very much…” you insisted.
He beamed, satisfied with the answer, “Well, y/n, I look forward to running into you yet again.” He winked, “It was nice to formally meet you.”
You shook your head with a cheeky smile, “It was nice to meet you as well, Eddie.” with that, you turned away and headed out the door, making your way to the parking lot. As you slowly started to make your way to your car, you noticed Billy leaning against the hood, a cigarette poking out his lips. You gulped nervously upon seeing him, never knowing what type of mood he may be in. When you approached, he never even looked your way as he drew another puff of his smoke.
“Hi, babe…” you said, piercing your lips as you made your way to his side, wrapping your arms tightly around your chest. He threw the cigarette on the ground, smashing it with his boot before speaking the words that made a pit form in your stomach.
“Why were you talking to that freak in the cafeteria?”

Munver story idea.
I would write this but I feel like this isn't my story to write, besides I wouldn't do it justice.
Anyway what if Jason had powers?
So he was adopted, there was no record of his birth parents he was just thrusted into the system as an infant.
A pastor and his wife couldn't have children so they adopted Jason when he was a year and half.
When he was five that's when the nightmares started, it was his aunt drowning in Lovers Lake he begged his parents to listen to him. But they didn't and a week later Jason's aunt was found drowned in Lovers Lake the police deemed it an accident but Jason's parents well they thought differently.
They thought Jason was possessed by Satan himself, so they basically traumatized their son trying to get the "demon" out, after that he kept the nightmares to himself.
Over the years he saw his dog dying, his moms accident, his grandmothers cancer, his grandfather death and so on and so forth.
He threw himself into religion trying to repress the visions which were getting worse and he started taking anything to stop the headaches and the nightmares.
When he was sixteen it moved into his hands, Andy broke his arm and he was terrified but all Jason had to do was touch him and he calmed almost immediately.
The visions of Chrissy dying started when he was seventeen, he saw her on Eddie's ceiling he saw as every bone in her body snapped. He tried saving her by loving her because he thought maybe if he loved her hard enough it wouldn't happen.
When he turned eighteen it moved into his voice, he was able to get anyone to do what he wanted even when they didn't want to. He never used it against someone intill he used it against Eddie.
By the time March rolled around, his visions got worse, so did the headaches to the point they started happening when he was awake. He would get horrible nose bleeds afterwards.
Chrissy wasn't just getting drugs for herself but also Jason because she sees how much he's struggling.
After Chrissy died everything got worse, he saw Fred dying, Patrick, Max. He thought it was his fault mostly because Chrissy wouldn't stop haunting his nightmares, he was getting little to no sleep because she would appear on the ceiling going.
"You knew I was going to die a year before I did and you still let this happened, I thought you loved me."
And well that was enough to make him snap.
He tried using his powers on Eddie but they didn't work on Eddie not at all.
So the question is why didn't they work on Eddie? Is Jason like Eleven? Was he just born cursed or is it more sinister than that?

Chapter 3: The day she said goodnight
Nancy toss her small bag on the floor and just lay her body lazily on her bed her mind occupied by Robin's locker “Does Robin likes girls? or she just like scribbiling it, and admiring women just like being artist.” She place a pillow on her face, Nancy knows about queer people but she never have any close encounter with them. She read a lot of news paper articles, also watch news in her younger days but her dad turn off the TV, when it's about queer people. She pursue journalism because she hates injustice and discrimination. Other people likes to avoid social issues, as if they are not affected of it. Nancy wants to be vocal about human rights. It's hard to adjust in her time but one thing she only knew that in the future. People are welcoming and educated, thinking out of the box. People will learn about the history to avoid doing it again. She stares at the ceiling, thinking again while having an eye to eye with a lizard that stick on the wall, until her phone rings.
“Uh hello Nance, I know it's already midnight but I would like thank you for lending a helping hand earlier” Robin gulp. She knew that Nancy might as sleep now, and not wanting to disturb her sleepy dream state. “That's what's make us friends, supporting each other. I know that our grades are important for college admission, you are trying to maintain your grades by not wanting to miss it but also take care of yourself.” Nancy's said in sleepy voice her eyes become puffy while she's yawning.
It's already past 2 am. When everyone is sleeping, the two girls are still awake. talking about something their own school clubs.
“Oh, I guess you are sleepy now, did I disturb you? I'm not intended to do that Nancy, I know sleeping is important to you. we can talk tommorow Goodnight!”
No one actually received Goodnight at 3am basically it's day time.
In the next day, Robin listening to her walkman. They decided to continue the group work at Nancy's house because it's not too far away at school. Robin walking with her bike Nancy is in the other side of her, the two are too quite as if they don't want to talk. There's a steal glance going on while continuesly walking towards the paths. Robin can't take anymore, she break the silence.
“Let's watch movie after the group work” Robin suggest even though the plan is I'm not sleeping early “I don't have a time to watch, the group work will be take a too much time to finish.” Robin understand her reason, she go back staring at the street again.
Their conversation become awkward more and more. After a minutes she saw Nancy's house, a few meters away from them as they go inside Nancy's Mom greet them. “Oh hello..Robin good to see you here again” Mrs Wheeler said happily. Both of Robin and Nancy's parents are close to each other. “Yeah, Mrs Wheeler, it's group works stuff” Robin said in smiley face, Nancy just staring at the two. “Ohhhh enjoy here feel at home, as you used to sweetie...Nancy didn't tell to me that you are going today. Anyway, are you two doing well in school?”
“Yeah Mom, were kind of busy right now talk to you later” Nancy lead Robin to her bed room. “Alright, I'll call you two when dinner is ready” Mrs. Wheeler shouted before Nancy close the door.

It'd be fun if, just as a silly side job, Eddie and the older kids all just play a spinoff version of DND. Essentially it's just DND except there is NO plan involved. Zero. Everyone is allowed to craft the story's progression to whatever they want, within reason.
Pulling everyone off script is totally allowed though, as long as it's interesting. It's a break from having to have a storyline to be following specifically. If they want to fight a dragon, they can totally fight a dragon, but it's not a preplanned Big Bad, just a dragon that someone put into the story so now everyone has to go fight a dragon. There's no single DM. Everyone is in control. Everyone is the judge, jury, and executioner. They take turns guiding the story.
Also there's no math. Dice rolling, yes, but it's just purely a game of chance. The stats are less solid and more like... You have to simply understand your characters capabilities like it was just another person, un-amountable to numbers.
Like, for example, Robin plays a Bard character, and she's about to reveal something special about her Trumpet. But she makes.... Oh I don't know, Nancy roll a die. Any by choice of Robin. A certain number or certain range gives what her Trumpet has. Maybe it has ice powers. Maybe it is actually sentient and Robin's character did not know. Maybe it is just a random trumpet and it's actually contained years worth of spit and now everyone has to listen to her describe her emptying the spit valve.
By all accounts it still satisfies the general ideal of DND, it's just less pinned between a DM who knows the lore and the players who get to explore and knowing what math is. It's just general fun, go ham it's not like the world is watching. Nobody knows what plot could possibly sprout up next, what romances or deaths or anything will progress. There's a story to be found, but it's crafted by the hands of many.
(Plus, everyone can play several characters at a time. If Steve wants to play 3 separate guys who are named after him there is... nobody stopping him. It's not like they're all in play at all times, just when the story allows him to reintroduce Stevon, or Steve Jr., or Stebby the Evil Vacuum Cleaner Robot.)
#stranger things#stranger things 4#steve harrington#robin buckley#nancy wheeler#eddie munson#they all are at the very least respectful of each other and it progresses more or less like a normal game#it's just now eddie is having fun helping craft a story with everyone else where even he can be surprised#not that his normal campaign can't be surprising but this is one where he doesn't know where they're even going next#one moment everyone is at a ball the next they're off to help a baby goo monster find its mama#and then after that they have to fight the evil vacuum cleaner minions because yeah they suck up goo moms#it's just a lighthearted no risks (sometimes risks if they get attached) sort of game#eddie sometimes uses the random storylines from this game and brings it to his campaign because it's just that good#only a few know the origin of the Ball Bag but man are the club members intrigued!#steve still doesn't get most of it sometimes but he tries his darnedest to play and seduce everything on sight#and by golly does he seduce everything on sight#eddie: He's like a Bard and their conquests but worse#alternatively everyone is a little nerdy enough that the game is just feral chaos#it becomes longstanding inside jokes between them and the Party get SO confused#they don't tell the kids about the side game because it's a thing just for them to bond and grow close with#same energy as not wanting to drag a child to your house party where there WILL be influences of Not For Kiddos#of course they write logs down on what happened thus far so they don't lose their places and lore#just instead of lore being prewritten it's interwritten#they probably do have character sheets anyways? but mostly so they have baselines of personalities#argyle plays a cabbage farmer for a good week and every time eddie plots on how to destroy the cabbages#in the end they kind of accidentally uh... kill said farmer and now he's a scarecrow with a rotting lettuce head#argyle then proceeds to make a lettuce farmer who is secretly in line for some throne???#everyone is just having a fun time okay
