The 3D model kept lagging too much lol #I think my art has more energy without the 3D model but god it takes so much longer to do

my gma told me that my mom used to wake up, eat breakfast, then study for 12 hours straight. every fuckin day. and my gpa would bring her food and tell her to take breaks bc of how immersed she was. she’s literally my role model forever

#I want to be on that level of sheer focus/passion w everything I do #this is what I remind myself of whenever I’m lazy or I don’t feel like putting in the hours. like my mon did THAT every day #I rly am intrinsically motivated bc of her and she also showed me that you truly can love science even in a broken education system #ofc being raised in her image did predispose me to science but I’m also so grateful it’s an organic love #and that I’m not doing it for something as dumb as prestige or money. like I genuinely adore it #and I was never raised in a gIrL MaTh household like my mom made it clear math was very fun to me since I was like 2 #and I think that influenced my confidence in pursuing stem/medicine bc I grew up watching my mom solve differential equations for fun #I also love how suffused she was in her studies. that must’ve felt so rewarding. I strive to be that way too #she also taught me it’s possible to be smart AND pretty and that has been the motto my whole life #I luv my mom post no. 8272662 I just had to say it #p

SO (feverish look in my eyes) I have been. LEARNING. and the title song of Hikaru no Go starts with "Now you have been holding me up strong / and I have been holding you up too". This is overlaid over shots of Hikaru and Sai—their partnership is the central premise of the show. But then the lyrics move to "Conflicts with my friends, I have not had many; unfulfilled in my heart I feel / Stare at me with your cold eyes / and a wind from a very dry age is blowing against my heart". That's!! About Tōya!! About how the central rivalry of the series brings Hikaru out of boredom and unfulfillment into a position where not only is he doing something that matters to him every day, but also! he can make Sai's dream of playing "a divine move" come true!! The next lyric is "Take it! Your heart and your courage are back to back / but I feel that I can make your dream reality with these two hands!" By functioning as an antagonist, Tōya is providing not only Hikaru the opportunity to grow, but also Sai the opportunity to do what he's been waiting to do for the last hundred years!!

#random theology ramble-- #(everyone ignore unless you really just want to interact with my complaining/rambling right now I'll probably delete this in a couple hours #I'm starting to wonder if the way we use typology is actually that great and helpful #bc it feels to me like a lot of times we just defer to typology instead of trying to understand Things in the Bible??? #like I guess if you're using it to say that God writes the story of the universe and he likes to use foreshadowing the same way human autho #*authors do... but like... sometimes I think we overuse it a lot. #also literary devices in the Bible should be understood as such. imo. #we gotta be careful not to apply things that were MEANT to be understood as poetic/metaphorical/etc as if they are strictly literal #which is something that must be done with a lot of discernment and study! #but something we should be striving to do nonetheless #delete later

when i see the triplets together and interacting, it reminds me of just how close the love is between siblings who shared a womb together; who were with each other from the very beginning. i have a twin sister myself and she is my pride and joy, she makes me laugh when nobody else can, and i dislike her at times more than anyone i have ever met in my life. she dislikes hugs, but will always welcome me with a hug. the hardest part of my life was moving hours away from her for university, because we had never been separated for longer than twenty four hours. and even still, we text each other everyday— we facetime and talk and there is no distance, there is just love. when i see the boys interacting, it reminds me that the love there is greater than yourself when you have a twin, when you’re a triplet, etc. you always have someone to talk to, you always have someone to joke and laugh with, and even if you’re so different, your love is one and it keeps you close together. even if the other makes you mad, even if you just want to strangle them, they’re still a part of you, and one of the biggest parts of you at that. it’s such a beautiful thing, to see others with the same love that i’ve been so lucky to experience the past nineteen years of my life. seeing them together, laughing, joking, and even mad at each other at times reminds me just how precious having another half truly is.
