I just argued with my boyfriend for over an hour about twlight vampires. He thinks they are "two-dimensional and underdeveloped" because nomads are inhumane and consumed by bloodlust. Just say you think vampires should only be used to tell one story and move on!

Celine was invited to the Cullen’s house one afternoon by Bella, eager to catch up and discuss the existence of vampires and other supernatural beings that Celine might now encounter, given her newfound knowledge about vampires.
“Celine, hi!” Esme greeted, being the one to open the house before she even got to knock
“Hi Esme.” Celine greeted back, smiling at her.
Celine noticed the subtle darkening of her eyes when she opened the door for her but didn’t say anything about it otherwise, only thinking that it was a vampire thing. Unbeknownst to her, Esme's keen gaze followed her every move as she entered the house and made her way to the living room where Bella awaited.
“Esme, let’s go feed first.” Edward offered, getting Esme’s trance to stop and redirect to Edward. She only nodded in reply, following Edward out the house without a word
“How are you?” Bella asked, a warm smile on her unnaturally pale face
“I’m good, glad to be off today.” Celine replied resting on the couch
“There’s another non-bloodsucker.” Jacob said, walking in and pointing finger guns at her “Hey Celine.”
“Oh my god.” Celine said with a grin, playfully rolling her eyes at him
“You were moments away from being a meal, if you didn’t notice.” Jacob said, pointing to the open door where Esme and Edward went out
“You didn’t need to tell her that, I hope you know that.” Bella scolded, shaking her head no at him
“How does your diet even work?” Celine asked curiously
“Well, no need to worry about us making you our meal since firstly, we’re vegetarian vampires, meaning that we only feed on animals instead of the typical human that the other vampires do. Secondly, we’re in control with our thirst for actual human blood now, Carlisle having the most control over it.” Bella explained thoroughly
“You’re in safe hands with him.” She added, giving Celine some sort of comfort
“Oh, come on.” Jacob told her, rolling his eyes at Bella “Let’s be real, Esme almost slipped up earlier. If it weren’t for Edward pulling her out.”
“She’s been the most away from humans, preferring to stay at home and do her architectural and art works here instead of outside with humans.” Bella explained to Celine
“How tough was it anyways? Being a human with them?” Celine asked Bella.
Bella contemplated her response carefully, determined to portray that being human around the Cullens was completely safe. If there was anyone that was gonna fuck up Carlisle’s chance of an eternity with his mate, it was definitely not gonna be Bella.
Somehow, Bella couldn't bring herself to lie to her. She felt a moral obligation to answer Celine's question truthfully, providing her with both the advantages and disadvantages of being human around the Cullens. She wanted Celine to still decide for herself, even though her fate of being a vampire is sealed.
“Being with them as a human was an…odd experience.” Bella started softly, remembering how it was when she was in Celine’s situation
“There have been moments where Edward needed to be very careful with his thirst around me, there have been slip-ups from Jasper as well. Being with us, despite us being vegetarian vampires, doesn’t ensure you complete safety.” She continued, watching Celine’s reaction carefully
“Just like how Esme was earlier?” Celine asked lowly, figuring two and two together. Bella only nodded in reply, getting Celine to push her lips, forming a thin line
“But when they protect, they protect hard.” Bella continued, sharing multiple stories on how the Cullens have protected her and Chief Swan during her time as human
If Celine was frankly speaking, she found herself conflicted after hearing Bella's stories. While she appreciated Bella's honesty, the tales of gore and life-or-death situations only served to deepen her reservations about becoming a vampire. Each anecdote seemed too coincidental, as if fate itself were guiding Bella toward the path of vampirism.
And she wasn’t having any of those, so what makes it sure that she has the same fate as Bella did?
“Bella, I think it’ll be best if I talk to her.” Rosalie called from the doorway, a soft smile on her face “Your stories are obviously scaring her.”
“She has good control, no need to worry about her.” Bella comforted before standing up “She’s killed people though so I’ll look out for that.”
“Oh please.” Rosalie said, playfully rolling her eyes at Bella before sitting next to Celine “I do not intend on killing Celine.”
“Thanks for the assurance.” Celine said awkwardly, biting her lip in an attempt to hide the laughter
“So, not a fan of Bella’s very gruesome stories?” Rosalie asked her
“Kind of. It was just too much for her to happen in like a year or so.” Celine answered honestly
“Fair enough. I guess time just becomes kind of invisible to us when you’ve been alive for so long.” Rosalie shrugged
“Kind of scary, don’t you think?” Celine asked her “Time has become so invisible to you that something you share could already be years, or in some cases, decades ago.”
“I understand if you don’t want to join us, there’s no pressure in your decision of becoming one.” Rosalie said softly, a smile on her face
“Did you not want to be one?” Celine asked her in a gentle tone
“I used to.” She replied lowly, her eyes admiring Celine’s humanity
“I opened this to Carlisle one time, told him that sometimes I wished that he didn’t change me that night. That he should have left me dead.” She continued, averting her eyes into the nothingness of the doorway, possibly remembering the discussion they had
“He knew the weight of his decision, and he knew that his choice placed him in the same spot as my ex-fiancé and his friends. Carlisle used to be wary around me, and that was the same with me. I had so much rage at him that I couldn’t even look at him in the eye.”
“The first time I ever did look at him was when I begged him to change Emmett. Carlisle kindly accompanied me after while Edward and Esme were helping Emmett with his thirst, asked me how I was feeling, asked me if I needed anything.”
“I remember staying silent the whole time, even though I desperately needed someone to hold me then. I was scared, scared that Emmett won’t welcome the life that I had introduced him into. That he would become another…me. I was scared that I had just caused Carlisle to carry the weight of two people not welcoming that change that he did.”
“What did he do?” Celine asked softly, allowing Rosalie to open up more as she listens to her story
“He held me.” Rosalie only answered “He wrapped his arm around me, in a way that no man has ever done to me when I was still human. He brushed my hair with his hands with the same gentleness as how he is when he’s on the operating room. It was protective, it was caring. It was my first time feeling a paternal love through touch.”
“Because, undeniably, underneath the narcissistic behavior that I have, I had yearned someone to see past through my beauty. I wanted someone to know me beyond being the most beautiful woman that they’ve seen. I needed someone to know that I’m more than just my beauty.”
“Carlisle became the first man to actually show care for me beyond being a display; I wasn’t a prized possession to brag about to him. I was Rosalie Hale, his eldest daughter.” She ended, a soft smile on her face
“I thought I was just imagining your presence.” Carlisle’s voice said softly from the doorway, a smile on his face at the sight of Celine
“Bella invited her, though she was creeping her out with what had happened to her when she was still human with us.” Rosalie answered, chuckling at Bella’s stories “Edward is in the forest with Esme, if I were to guess, they’ll be home soon. Emmett, Jasper, and Alice are in town right now, said that they’ll be home before night hits.”
“Thanks a lot, Rosie.” Carlisle said, walking closer to the two of them. Rosalie took it as a sign and stood up from her spot, letting Carlisle have her moment with Celine
“Hello handsome.” Celine greeted once Rosalie has left them in the living room all by themselves.
Seeing him warmed Celine’s heart, a soft, giddy smile forming on her face. The same way that their quiet moments in the hospital, the subtle showing of affection underneath the tables, and Carlisle being more vocal in respectfully declining any moves that the other nurses and patients are showing to him did to her.
She knew that she was falling for him, in ways that she didn’t think one could do so.
“How was spending time with Rosie and Bella?” He asked her, sitting down on the space where Rosalie and Bella were once sitting
“Both were just sharing bits of their past.” She replied, scooting closer to him
“Then, you must know?” Carlisle asked, a hint of shame in his tone “You know what I have damned Rosalie with?”
“Is that why you were easy to accept my hesitancy in becoming one of you?” Celine asked lowly, intertwining her hands with his
“All I wish is that you get to decide for yourself, my love.” He replied, leaving a peck of assurance on her temples
Bella and Rosalie’s stories didn’t really help Celine on answering the question whether she’ll become a vampire with them or not. Bella's journey involved considerable risk before her transformation, while Rosalie's transformation was marked by a lack of choice, both something that Celine wasn’t facing right now.
In the midst of her uncertainty about becoming a vampire, one thing remained clear to Celine: her heart belonged to Carlisle, the discussions of her being a vampire can be dealt with once it comes.
~~
“Are you re— my love, what are you doing?” Carlisle asked, walking in Celine’s house and seeing her try to push her couch to the opposite side of the room
“Did you not receive my message that I won’t be available today?” Celine asked, a small frown on her face as she faces him
“Do you need some physical help?” He just asked curiously, looking at her with nothing but concern on her face
“I’ll be fine, just need to get this couch to the opposite side.” She answered kindly, smiling at him before going back and trying to push back the couch that she was pushing earlier
Carlisle decided to pull Celine away from the couch that she was pushing before carrying the couch to the empty spot where she actually planned to place it. With a cheeky grin, he faced her annoyed but amazed expression before going to her and pecking her cheeks.
“That was annoyingly cool.” Celine spoke up after a bit of staring at the couch and the now empty spot
“Comes with being 300 years old, I guess.” He playfully replied, pulling her hand and twirling her around
“You’re very pretty.” Carlisle whispered, resting his hand on Celine’s waist and pulling her closer to him with such gentleness that she felt like a porcelain doll
“Not Rosalie or Esme pretty though. Or Bella and Alice in some sense.” Celine answered offhandedly, catching the two of them off guard. She looked at him with wide eyes, scared of what his reaction will be
“Your beauty is one that reminds me of my humanity. Even if there isn’t much to remind me of it.” He only said, his hands tracing her cheeks with the same gentleness as earlier
“You are the radiant flowers that adorn the sacred corridors of cathedrals, my love; each petal is a representation of purity and elegance. You possess a purity that demands safeguarding, for there are those who would covet you not for your inherent worth, but merely to adorn themselves with a fragment of your radiance, like a prized possession to be displayed but never truly cherished.”
Carlisle went and pulled her for a deep kiss, his hands resting on her back for support. He wanted that kiss to radiate all the love that he has for Celine.
He may not have all of eternity to show her how much he loves her, but he has all of Celine’s life to prove to her that it’s her and that it will always be her that his undead heart beats for.
~~
After a few weeks, Celine was invited by Rosalie again, telling her that they haven’t seen each other in forever even though it only has been a few weeks. Having no choice but to give what she wanted, Celine prepared some overnight stuff, knowing that their house wasn’t human enough to have what she would need to actually stay over.
Walking in the house, she only saw Edward, who was reading, in the living room. She didn’t know where the others were, only knowing that Carlisle was with Renesmee, accompanying his granddaughter for the day.
“Rosalie and Emmett went out on a date, while Alice and Jasper are on Port Angeles right now, Jasper’s buying some new shoes. Esme and Bella are over at the cottage that they plan to gift to Alice and Jasper’s for their wedding anniversary.” Edward answered, not looking up from his book but having read the questions forming in her mind
Celine couldn't help but feel a bit unsettled by the unusual situation of being alone with Edward. Typically, he found reasons to excuse himself when she was around.  Though, it kind of helped with her anxiety, being with someone that could hear her every thought icked her.
“I really am trying to not read your mind right now.” Edward announced, finally looking at her, a guilty look on his face “I just hear yours much clearer since you’re the only one nearby.”
“Sorry, didn’t want you to feel guilty of your gift.” Celine said quietly, sitting on the opposite end of the couch that he was in, patiently waiting for someone to come. Someone that she could actually talk to
It was quiet for a moment, Celine was thinking of anything that Carlisle has told her about Edward to use as conversation starter, not wanting Edward to think about her otherwise. She was determined to connect with him on a deeper level, wanting to know him beyond just being the first person that Carlisle had been with.
“I was genuinely…terrified when Carlisle told us about you.” Edward started, getting Celine to look at him with furrowed eyebrows “We’ve seen with me how a blood singer can destabilize anyone in this diet, even having practiced this lifestyle for so long. We were scared that Carlisle, of all the vampires practicing this diet, might lose his control on you.”
“Blood singer?” Celine asked curiously
“A blood singer is a person whose blood sings for one specific vampire. It’s like their own personal brand of heroine.” He explained to her, reading her thoughts briefly before continuing “Bella was my blood singer when she was still human.”
“What does it mean to be a vampire’s blood singer then?” She asked again
Edward felt the need to gently redirect the discussion, knowing Carlisle would be better equipped to handle it. He recognized that Carlisle could provide a more reassuring explanation about their unique circumstances, assuring Celine of his continued composure and control around her.
But somehow, the way that Celine was looking at him with such curiosity made him want to answer her question. She was intrigued and Edward had the knowledge that was more than enough to give answers to her questions.
“It basically means that your blood will be addictive to Carlisle if he ever got a whiff or taste of it.” Edward bluntly replied before realizing what he had just said. He quickly focused his telepathy on Celine, seeing any reaction that he probably would need to raise to Carlisle because of his actions
“But Carlisle has seen me bleeding before, I get papercuts all the time.” Celine told him, her eyebrows furrowed “Maybe I’m not his blood singer or something.”
“Trust me, you are.” He only told her, an assuring smile on his face “I hear his thoughts about you all the time, especially when you two have first just met.”
“What does he think of me then?” She asked him
“It is not my position to tell you what goes in his mind.” Edward disagreed, shaking his head at her question “All I could say is that his heart is with you.”
“Why didn’t Carlisle and Esme just get paired to each other?” Celine asked him quietly
Edward looked at her, reading into Celine’s mind to see what had caused her to ask such a question, especially when Carlisle has shown nothing but love and compassion to her. But he was blasted with various doubting, showing that underneath her confident aura was a woman riddled with insecurities.
“They tried…at first.” Edward started slowly, keenly watching Celine just in case his stories just adds on her doubting
“Carlisle felt the need to take responsibility of Esme, and she agreed. She thought that the old crush that she had on him when she was younger would blossom into something more, which was why she agreed. Overtime, they realized that they weren’t fit for each other.”
“He was willing to keep the relationship going, out of responsibility. But Esme stopped him, told him that they should go as brothers and sisters instead, knowing that it would fit them more. She told him that the crush she had on him was merely attraction, and that she could not see him as a partner.”
“Esme isn’t who Carlisle needs as a partner, but she’s who the coven needs as a matriarch.” Edward ended, satisfied with how he’s worded their story
“Did Carlisle like her that way?” Celine asked him curiously
“He says he did, but frankly speaking, he was just convincing himself that he liked her that way.” He answered earnestly
“I wish I could say more, to get you to change your mind about if you’re worthy of Carlisle or not. But all I can tell you is that the entirety of him is in your palm.”

Do you think if either Jane or Alec died the other twin would become like Marcus?
Who knows?
Others have lost those who were irreplaceable and not become Marcus.
I will say that they're in a bad position as they're a) both mentally very young for all they've been around a while b) their twin from what we see of canon is one of their major pillars of support/how they even identify themselves c) it helps split the work load.
Given that these two did not collapse at the betrayal of their mother and village, I imagine they'd choose the revenge/throwing themselves in work route versus losing themselves entirely to despair.

Lyin' isn't better than silence
Floatin', but I feel like I'm dyin'
Marriage is supposed to be one of, if not the happiest moment in one's life. Being able to spend the rest of your time on the world with the person you love most, it sounds like a dream come true. Of course it doesn't always work that way. Like all things in life, there are the exceptions; those who aren't in love, those who fall out of love, or those who find themselves stuck in that hellish grey area in between the two. While all three options were unfortunate, the third caused a special type of pain that would drive even the most sane of people mad. The only problem here however, Edward Cullen wasn't a sane person to begin with.
Upon leaving Forks with Bella and the rest of the Cullens, they found themselves settling down in a small town in Germany. The constant clouds and rain that beat down onto the town paired with the apparent German belief of minding your own business, it was a perfect spot for them to settle their family. Of course, there was some trouble in the beginning seeing as only few of them knew German, but that was an obstacle that was quickly overlooked as they all were fast and eager learners. In the chaos of getting settled in and perfecting their new routines, Esme had almost missed a particular letter that was sent by a familiar face. Reading the name, she quickly opened up the letter and a smile spread onto her face as she called out for the family, "Everyone get in here. I have some news!"
One by one the family filed into the living room as Esme held up the envelope in her hand, "It seems as though our favorite human is getting married."
Eyes bugling, Rosalie sped over to Esme and took the paper from her hands as she read it over frantically.
"No, they can't! They'll be all over that mutt more than they already are!" She pouted.
Alice bounded up beside Rosalie, "Well I for one, think it's a great idea! They're so in love with each other that I'd more upset if this didn't happen sooner."
"I guess putting it that way makes it less annoying. I just wish I found out directly from them and not some stupid paper," Rosalie sighed.
"Then let's call them! We have phones, dummy!"
With smiles painted onto their faces, the duo raced out the room as the rest of the family looked to each other.
"Well, Jas and I are gonna follow the ladies. Been a while since we've talked to our dog whisperer." Emmett spoke before dragging Jasper with him toward the direction Rosalie and Alice went.
Carlisle and Esme looked to each other before turning their attention to Bella and Edward, "We're going to work on the RSVP. We'll talk later." Carlisle spoke before gently taking Esme's hand and walking off to his office.
"So they're getting married, isn't that cool?" Bella spoke with hands shoved into her pockets.
"I guess." Edward replied lamely.
"You guess? Jeez, even when he's with your ex you still don't like Jake. Harsh." She noted.
He shook his head as crossed his arms,
"Something just doesn't feel right about this. I mean, what happens if their marriage doesn't work out? Then we'll have a sobbing mess of Y/N and an angry wolf on our hands."
Bella raised her brows as she shook her head, "I guess, but it'd be kinda impossible for that to happen though, right? I mean, they're his imprint. That's literally fate."
"Maybe, but I still don't like it."
Bella furrowed her brows together as she looked up at Edward, "Hey, are you okay? You seem...Off right now."
"I'm fine, Bella."
"Okay...But you'd tell me if you weren't, right?"
Edward hesitated in his answer for a moment before looking away, "Yes, of course."
With a small frown, Bella only nodded before pushing past Edward and out of the house.
Still, no matter where I go
At the end of every road
You were good to me
You were good to me, yeah
I know it's easier to run
After everything I've done
You were good to me
You were good to me
You were good to me
You were good to me
"You may now seal your vows with a kiss."
Smiles painted onto your faces, Edward watched on in horror as Jacob put his hands on your waist before spinning and dipping you as he brought his lips to yours. Despite his enhanced hearing, all the boisterous cheers and joyous clapping fell deaf to him as he watched the scene before him with a pit in his stomach.
Feeling a small and sharp amount of pain on his foot, Edward looked to see Esme's heel digging to his shoe as she mouthed, "Bad manners!" Getting the hint, Edward brought his hands together in a clapping motion as he willed himself to bring a smile onto his face despite the annoyance and disgust that dug deep into his chest. He watched on as you and Jacob made your way down the aisle with bright smiles adorning both of your faces. Being sat in one of the edge seats, Edward got a clear view of you as you passed by and by god was he happy. He watched on in awe as his eyes took in your perfectly styled hair and the small bits and pieces of jewelry that sat atop your skin. His eyes widened slightly as his eyes fell to your face that was glowing so bright and happy as your hand intertwined with Jacob's. As you ran by, he couldn't help but inhale your scent before going rigid as Bella mindlessly wrapped herself around his arm.
Why did he feel like this?
Leavin' isn't better than tryin'
Growin', but I'm just growin' tired
It was only a week after your wedding ceremony with Jacob had taken place. Edward and Bella had decided to stay in town for a bit longer so she could spend some time with Charlie while the rest of the family had decided to leave back to their home in Germany. Things were relatively calm, especially since you and Jacob had decided to take off to the Amalfi Coast for your honeymoon.
Ever since the wedding, Edward couldn't help but feel a deep pit in his stomach every time his mind drifted off to the two of you. Being alive for so long, Edward knew that weddings were bound to happen, especially in the world of vampires and werewolves where soulmates were no longer a product of fiction but a fact. Yet still, he found himself cringing every time he recalled the way you looked at Jacob when the two of you were under the altar. The way your eyes drank in his appearance and the way you smiled at him as if he was the one to paint the stars that lit up the very sky. Anyone with eyes could tell that the two of you were madly in love and there was no doubt about it...but Edward couldn't help but recall the time you once looked at him that way. He could clearly remember how you perked up whenever you saw him and during nights like these, lonely nights in which Bella was off doing something by herself, he swore he could still feel the faint touch of your hand on his skin and the sweet nothings you would once whisper in his ear. To watch you do that with Jacob now was devastating to say the least. As much as he didn't want to admit it, he missed you. He was happy with Bella of course, she was still his mate, but his mind couldn't help but wonder what a life between the two of you would be like. He often found himself fantasizing of a life in which the two of you had your own house, he imagined you coming up behind him and wrapping your arms around his waist while he turned back and kissed you on the lips as you melted into his touch. He longed to see you talk animatedly about your day as he put the finishing touches on the meal he cooked for you. He just wanted you.
"Edward!"
His picture perfect daydream was ripped away from him as Bella shook his arm as she stared up at him with brows knitted together and pink lips turned down into a frown, "What's going with you? I've been trying to get your attention for a while now."
He didn't respond, his eyes glued to her left hand that rested on his arm. His gaze trailed to her fingers and stopped as he saw the wedding ring that hugged her dainty finger. As he turned to look at Bella, he felt the pit in his stomach grow as he felt a faint feeling of disappointment rush through him as he looked into her golden eyes; he missed yours.
As he removed her hand from his arm he didn't spare her a second glance as he spoke, "I'm going hunting."
Now I'm worried for your soul
And I'm scared you're growin' old
You were good to me
You were good to me, yeah
And I'm so used to letting go
But I don't wanna be alone
You were good to me
You were good to me, yeah, oh
As the years passed, Edward had eventually come to a startling conclusion; you were still human. A year was no match for the immortal vampire, but for you it meant birthdays, dates, vacations, the whole nine yards. Edward had always known you were going to age and eventually have to pass on, but it was a thought that was always neatly tucked into the back of his mind.
Until now.
He watched on with a blank stare as the family fawned over your newborn child that you and Jacob had brought home from the hospital just over a week ago. As you watched the family, mainly Esme and Rosalie, coo at your child, you were sat on the couch with your back leaned up against Jacob as he massaged your aching shoulders while catching you up on all the happenings with the pack you'd missed while you were in the hospital. He knew the baby was the main attraction, it was what the family had visited for in the first place. Yet still, even after all this time, his eyes managed to find their way to you as they observed your every move. He watched on as your hands moved to pull Jacob's hands away from your shoulders before bringing them to your lips, a habit that was still engrained in his head from the first to the last time you ever did it to him. He knew he should take his eyes away from you but he couldn't stop looking, especially when Jacob and you stared down at your matching wedding rings with such tender love and care.
Why can't I have that?
He was cut off from his thoughts as he felt a hand come down onto his shoulder, "Do you need a breather son?"
Edward tore his eyes away from you and Jacob before shaking his head, "No. I'm fine Carlisle, thank you for asking."
Carlisle gave a single nod, "Do you want to hold them? I'm sure Emmett and I can convince Esme and Rose to step away for at least a minute."
Edward stiffened up at the mention of your child. His thoughts began racing as he tried to quell the growing anxiety that rose up in his body, "No. I'll be fine. Let them have their moment."
Carlisle who was well acquainted with the behaviors of Edward didn't let his unusual behavior slip by him, but still he only nodded.
"Okay, let me know if you change your mind."
"I won't."
Carlisle removed his hand from his shoulder and gave his son a disapproving stare before shaking his head and walking back over to Esme who was cradling the newborn in her arms with a bright smile.
I wonder what our child would look like if we had one.
God only knows where our fears go
Hearts I've broke, now my tears flow
You'll see that I'm sorry
'Cause you were good to me
You were good to me
"So what was your plan then? Just to come out here and spill all this on me and hope I'd be okay with it? You can't just drop a bomb on someone like that, Edward."
Edward's lips turned into a frown as he looked down at his shoes, a nervous tick of his that you were still able to recognize even after all these years.
"I-I don't know what my plan was honestly. I just...I've been sitting by on the sidelines for the past few years watching everything pass right by me and I didn't want to do that anymore. I just needed to get everything out."
You scoffed, "So you thought coming forward and telling me you about the sick fantasy you've been having about us running off together was the best way to do that? I didn't need to know about that, Edward. I didn't want to know about that."
"You're the one who always told me to let out what I'm feeling. What's the difference now?"
"The difference is that is I have two kids and we're both married. God, I mean what were you even expecting to happen? Did you think I'd just leave Jacob and the kids so I could run off with you? Did you?"
Edward let out a huff as he turned to look at you with a glare in his eyes, "I don't know what the hell I was expecting, ok?! All I know is that no matter how hard I try or how far I distance myself from you, I can't get you out of my fucking head! Everywhere I go, all I see is that you're not there and it kills me inside! You think I want it to be like this? I wanna be able to look at Bella and love her the way she deserves to be loved without having that stupid voice in my head trying to convince me that I'm betraying you by doing so. Getting with Bella made me feel alive for the first time in forever, but now I can't get that anymore because all my time is spent thinking about you and how I fucked up!"
Edward trained his eyes on you as you let out a bitter laugh, "Even after all this time, you still can't make up your mind. God you're such an asshole."
Edward let out a sigh, "Listen-"
You cut him off by shoving him backwards and speaking, "No, I'm not gonna listen to whatever shit you're about to spew out at me because I don't care. When you left me it felt like I was dying. Every single day I opened my eyes, all I wanted to do was scream and cry while praying to God that it was all just some fucked up dream. I loved you with everything I had and I would've done anything for you, and you knew that. You knew I wouldn't leave no matter what so you strung me along like a little puppet while you went off and screwed around with Bella because you knew I'd love you regardless. Everyone told me we weren't gonna last but I held out for you because I thought you loved me but you were just waiting for your real mate to come along, then suddenly it's like I didn't even exist anymore. Jacob found me and he fixed me. He knew what it was like to be tossed to the side so he made it a vow to make sure I never felt like that and I haven't. He's been there for me through thick and thin and he sure as hell wouldn't leave me in the dust just because the next pretty thing walked through the door. I'm happy, Edward. I have a husband I love and two beautiful kids who look at me like I'm some kind of superhero, I'm not giving that up for anything. We're done, Edward and it's gonna stay that way."
It was as if Edward had gone completely still, he felt as though you had personally ripped his dead heart out his chest and stomped on it right in front of him, he was pained.
You crossed your arms as you looked at the clock on the wall, "You should leave, Jacob and the kids are gonna be back soon. I'd like to get dinner started for us before they come."
He nodded silently before turning away from you and walking out the door. He couldn't bring himself to think of a single coherent thought as he numbly started the engine and sped off toward a lone and empty road.
You weren't his anymore.
And now I'm closin' every door
'Cause I'm sick of wantin' more
You were good to me
You were good to me, yeah
Swear I'm different than before
I won't hurt you anymore
'Cause you were good to me
With slim fingers dancing across the black and white ivory keys of the piano, Edward listened intently as the notes sprung out from the piano and into the atmosphere around him.
Gymnopédie. 1 by Erik Satie, a personal favorite of yours that he'd play whenever he'd get the chance just to see the smile that came across your face whenever he did. God how he missed your smile.
"Edward! We're back!" He heard echo throughout the house.
Removing his hands from the keys, he quickly covered the piano before speeding off downstairs to meet Bella and his family. His arms wrapped around Bella upon seeing her as he gave a nod in greeting to the rest of the family.
"How was it?" He asked.
Alice was the first to speak up, "Oh it was great! I feel like we haven't seen Y/N and the others in a long time so it was a nice vacation. They also make a great Barbie Doll." She finished with a dreamy look in her eyes.
"I for one, loved playing around with the kids. I hate being away from them for so long," Rosalie pouted as Esme gave her a few comforting pats on her shoulder.
"I love seeing Y/N and all, but I have to say that roughing up some the newer pups is something I'll never get tired of," Emmett proudly boasted as he puffed out his chest.
"Yeah, until they finally knock you on your ass," Jasper spoke with a smirk.
"Of course they will when you're giving them little tips and tricks on the side, cowboy," Emmett retorted causing Jasper and him to bicker.
Edward shook his head at their antics before turning to Bella, "And you? Did you enjoy it?"
Bella shrugged as she loosened her grip around his waist, "It was alright. I wish you would come with us like you used to."
Edward felt a small pang of guilt as he imagined Bella standing by herself while the rest of the family spent time with their mates, "I'm sorry Bella. I just think it's better that I stay here, you know? Even after all this time, you never know what could happen."
"I know," Bella frowned, "I just miss you when we're apart is all."
"Well, we've got all the time in the world now."
Bella then pushed herself away from him and took a step back, "Right after I get back from hunting."
Edward smiled, "Right after you get back from hunting."
He stepped forward and pressed a chaste kiss to her temple before she sped off into the nearby forest. His smile slowly began to fade as he watched her figure disappear into the thick greenery. With a sigh, he turned to walk away from his family who were still mindlessly chattering amongst themselves before finding himself on the balcony area. He took a few moments to look out at the varying plants and trees before reaching into his pocket and pulling out a photograph; one that Alice had taken of you and Edward. It was during one of the rare sunny days in Forks. Edward was made to stay home and you decided to tag along with him under the guise of a faux illness you'd managed to convince your mother of before she went off to work. You two spent the day together tucked away in his room before you fell asleep on his chest with a small smile lingering on your face. Upon being photographed, Edward was tense as he sent a hateful glare toward Alice. Once seeing the photo however, his lips turned into a small smile as he knew he'd be able to keep both you and the photograph in his memory.
As he stood on the balcony in the crisp German air with an ocean separating the two of you as well as an invisible boundary, he still somehow felt content. Maybe he'd never get his forever with you and maybe he'd never have the courage to ever show his face in front of you again, but he knew he could at least hold onto the glorious memory of you and your relationship. He knew he could at least daydream and take some solace in the fact that, despite it all, you would at least be able to get your happy ending even if it wasn't with him.
You were good to me, it's about time I start doing the same.
With an unnecessary exhale, Edward tore his eyes away from the photo and tucked it back into his pocket before walking back into the house, the thought of you lingering the air as he went about the rest of his life.

A quick question for the twilight stans:
Each book in the twilight series has some in-text reference or plot related comparison to a piece of classic literature. I remember in New Moon it was Romeo and Juliet. In Eclipse it was Wuthering Heights. What were the classics for Twilight and Breaking Dawn?

I had this idea where you show what you think the twilight movies would look like if they were based in your home country. If you're from the US you can just use the state you're from instead. Tag some friends to see what they think it would look like. This is my first post like this so if it flops, understandable :)
My country: Australia

So I have been doing a lot of reading during quarantine, books and also fanfics. I am now circling back to twilight as I never really read any of fanfics the first time around.
I have an idea for a fic but I am not prolific writer...
If anyone wants to take on this writing prompts or knows of already written fics with a similar premise give me a shout!
Title: Wayward Sun
Premise:
Edward never comes home from his rebellious stage
Story A
1. Bella is dying from the van crushing her (Edward never saves her)
2. Dr. Cullen turns her
a. Charlie asks Dr. Cullen to do everything in his power to save her. Like Edward mother ask him to do for him.
i. Charlie finds out of vampires
Or
b. Billy Black, knowing what the Cullens are asks Dr.C to save her.
i. Treaty still in good standing
3. Edward comes home for a visit, intrigued by the quiet mind of Vampire!Bella, stays.
4. Bella helps with Edward’s bloodlust
Story B
Edward never comes home from his rebellious stage.
1. Bella BBF with Alice
2. Alice sees Bella becoming a vampire and part of the family but doesn’t know the details.
3. Edward comes to visit his family.
4. Edward attacks Bella when first meeting.
5. The others stop him before killing. Her transition to Vampire happens
6. Bella is the catalyst for his reform.

It’s the ___ for me *Twilight Edition* Don’t blame the characters, blame the author
Bella: It’s the being written as a powerful and independent character then falling into a damsel in distress and Stepford wife complex, being a subpar and disregarding Edward’s morals for me (if he wanted to wait till marriage to have sex, let him, sis)
Edward: It’s the superiority complex despite the clear self hatred, clear disrespect for boundaries, possessiveness, disregarding Bella’s morals (if she didn’t want to get married at 18 like her parents, then wait), stalking and misogyny for me (homie, pick a damn struggle)
Jacob: It’s the non-consensual kiss and fact that he should’ve stayed the best friend instead of being a love interest. And  it’s the fact that he should NOT have imprinted on Bella’s DAUGHTER for me
Carlisle: It’s the turning of children and barely-adults into vampires and falling for a sixteen-year-old girl when he was CLEARLY an adult for me
Esme: nothing, she’s perfect
Jasper: It’s the being a proud Confederate soldier for me
Alice: It’s the living vicariously through her family members without being considerate of their own feelings as well as aiding Edward in his obsessive (and toxic) behavior towards Bella for me (i get that she was a victim and was abused, but she could at least ask Bella and her family members if she could dress them or what they LIKED to wear)
Rosalie: almost nothing, just a tiny thing that kinda bugs me but not really. if she had been more compassionate towards Bella when she explained her past and reasons why Bella should reconsider vampirism, then accepted that it’s Bella’s choice, it would’ve been a great friendship that everyone wanted anyway.
Emmett: nothing at all. absolutely unproblematic. we stan himbo kings that love their wife/girlfriend and live their best lives
Charlie: nothing. great friend. better dad. love him (edit: pisses me off and disappoints me to suddenly remember that not only you did nothing when Jacob assaulted your daughter, but you joked around with him about it, completely invalidating Bella’s anger, hurt, betrayal and disgust)
Renee: It’s the blatant negligence of her only daughter and forcing her to grow up quickly while being completely unaware but relying on her and a sucky baseball player completely for me
Phil: (bet y’all didn’t expect me to include this fool did’ya?) It’s the witnessing the clearly disproportionate and co-dependent mother/daughter relationship and doing/saying nothing about it when you could’ve and should’ve for me
Mike: It’s the misogyny and pining after a taken woman even after she was clearly uninterested in you while you knowingly had another girl trailing after you for me
Jessica: It’s the using Bella for popularity and then being jealous of her for snagging the hot guy while you humiliate yourself by going after guys where you’re the second choice for me (honey, you can do better than mike schmike and eddy-spaghetti and you and Bella could’ve had a beautiful friendship
Eric: nothing notable. he had a crush on Bella, but stepped off when he noticed she was both uninterested and taken.
Angela: nothing. great friend. great girlfriend. wish we had more of her.
Ben: nothing. great boyfriend. hella unproblematic.
Lauren: It’s the being a bitch to Bella for no reason for me. If there were rumors about Bella and the Cullens (we all know that there were), she started them. It’s also the fact that she wreaked herself and took it out on everyone else for me
Tyler: It’s the being inconsiderate and thinking that taking a girl to prom without asking her if she’s actually interested as a solution to nearly killing her for me
Sam: It’s the cheating on your girlfriend and then leaving her for her cousin who she was very close to THEN mauling your new girlfriend and having the gall to lecture others on their control for me
Seth, Leah, Emily, Quil, Embry, Paul, Jared and Brady (the wolf pack): unproblematic. baby. deserves the world and the universe. love them.
Renesmee: nothing wrong with her. kinda pity her. her name rhymes with resume.
