Suspended among the lush trees of Vancouver Island’s rainforest are some of the world’s most unique hotel accommodations. The Free Spirit Spheres are a family of perfectly round wood and fiberglass tree houses that grant visitors a bird’s-eye view of their picturesque surroundings.

The floating pods, whose design and construction draw heavily from that of sailboats, have interiors as visually striking as their alien exteriors. Each sphere is carefully balanced between three trees and is accessible only by a rope staircase and bridge.

So i have a new phone, LG G2 mini that is. It has a feature called QuickMemo and as the name implies you can jot a note anytime anywhere on the phone.

It has simple set of brushes and option to change background. But that’s about it. No layering whatsoever. Curious how my sketches will end up looking i test it out by drawing a car.

The lack of features surprisingly makes my sketching less intrusive and time consuming and just like doodling in a piece of paper but with the ability to undo. And turns out i have much fun experience doodling with this little 4,7” device than my Wacom tablet. And in reality i don’t really need a tablet with pen support as in Galaxy Note like i used to think.

These sketches i made when i had a holiday trip to Solo by train a couple weeks ago.

Ancestors: Kenway

At long last, here it is, the Kenway coat. Based on Connor Kenway’s revolutionary war regimental assassin coat. It sports turnback center panels with reversible zippers so it can be worn open or closed, as well as turnback tails which fasten at the back center, and can be unbuttoned and let to hang, for protection from the elements. Also includes a fitted, removable hood, and reversible epaulettes with the main color [white] on one side and the accent [blue] on the other.

Currently it is available with either a center zipper which folds back, or asymmetrical fastening, for a wider fold on the front panel. There will be more photos posted tomorrow to help describe the options. I also intend to design a shorter, waist-length version at a reduced cost, for those who don’t like to wear long coats, but I had to focus on this one first. Both will include two large outer pockets, and an inside breast pocket. Available with either high quality black plastic coat buttons, or brass half-dome buttons.

I tried to keep the price as low as possible, and the price I have decided on may turn out to be too low, but I will not know until I have made a few. I apologize in advance if I have to raise the price in the future.

Available to order for men and women. The overall design will not be different, only the tailoring will change. As always, can be ordered in virtually any combination of colors. Usually made of canvas or heavy weight denim, but can be ordered to preference.

This project aims to bring awareness to socially responsible LED packaging. Current packaging does not maximize sustainable materials or construction, while also failing to clearly convey information. My packaging design uses only post-consumer recycled paper, promotes recycling old bulbs, and supplies the consumer with updated information through modern graphic design.

The Mathematics of Beauty

The Fibonacci Sequence is a sequence of numbers where each number is the sum of the previous two—i.e., 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34…and so on to infinity. The ratio of one number to the next is approximately 1.61803, which is called “phi”, or the Golden Ratio. It’s not a magical mathematical equation of the universe, but it definitely reflects natural, aesthetically beautiful patterns. The ratio been used as the ideal proportion standard by artists and architects throughout history, and it’s also found in nature because it’s one of the most efficient way to pack things together. The human body can mostly be divided up in terms of the golden ratio, with one nose, two eyes, three segments to each limb, five fingers on each hand, and our measurements and proportions also reflect the ratio, especially the proportions of the human face—the width of the nose, position of the eyes, length of the chin. Our attraction to another person increases if their body and features are symmetrical and proportional, since we perceive them to be healthier, and so the Golden Ratio appears to be connected with humans ideals of beauty. It’s worth noting, however, that although the ratio can create a beautiful face, it can’t create a beautiful mind.
