A Spider-Man page I was working on the other week. Was inspired by other many artist’s amazing sketch pages, and wanted to try it out myself! It was a good exercise in pushing my ability to work with dynamic poses.

Based off the MCU design with a few changes to keep the flow of the poses, it’s my favourite so far. Needless to say I’m excited for the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming movie.

In the upcoming weeks to AX, I thought it appropriate to start posting the prints that will be available! First up is an original character of mine! Celeste: daughter of the Sun, and caretaker of Sol. I’ve been receiving comments of this work resembling religious art, which I guess unintentionally works along with such an omnipotent being.

I’m excited to begin working on her story quite soon!

Anime Expo!

Hello, everyone!

I’ve kept this under wraps for a while, but I thought it was time to officially announce that I’ll be in the Artist Alley for Anime Expo 2016! I’ll be tabling with @gartastic, with more specific details to follow soon. It’s been a goal of mine to table there ever since I knew of it, and I’ve been lucky to save enough money from work to actually fly over to the US, and now, to share my art with people over there when the convention happens!

With that said, I’d love to meet any local followers or friends! I understand that not every person can make it to AX, so I’m happy to make time to meet up in the city, as I’ll be living nearby the LA area for the duration of my trip. If anyone is interested, please let me know!

Another original character, serving as a partnering piece to Celeste from 021! I don’t have any real background on her other than being an older and more experienced guardian. This was created during the time I was highly inspired by Peter Mohrbacher’s work! So there are some slight influences in shape and (attempted) grandeur.

Based on a request from last year, my interpretation of Percy Jackson in Greek armour. Chose to do a mix of both traditional and Gladiator, which proved to be some trouble when it came to searching for reference online since it’s limited. I did learn a lot regardless! I aimed for something that looks cool, so a lot of the decisions in design may look a little silly if analysed, but if it looks believable at first glance I’m happy. 

I do enjoy these design exercises because it gives me an excuse to put in a lot of detail!

Hello! New Years comic aside, it’s been a very long time since I last posted here. Speaking of which, I’d like to introduce my latest art project, For My Friends. 

Basically a series dedicated to my friends and family, revolving around funny stories I’ve experienced with them, and maybe ones I’ve heard about them too (with their permission, of course)! Please note the truth in these stories can vary from genuine to wildly exaggerated depending on what I’m depicting, haha.

With that said, this one is based off a tweet a friend made about sneezing and her glasses coming off.

A new original character! Meet Celeste, the humble keeper of our Solar System. Or a space witch with the ability to conjure spells that draw upon the energy and materials of said system. Not sure yet, but the power of space being in control of a child, or rather a childlike guardian is an amusing idea to me, haha.

I’m very excited about this character and aim to draw her more in the future. The design is still in developing stages (this is actually the first iteration), so I hope to find something more suitable.
