idk abt anyone else, but whenever I’m sick I have to be sitting or standing up, my symptoms actually get 1000% worse if I’m laying down. Bc it’s like, oh your only two breathing passages are filled with an infinite supply of slime? Sure, let’s lay on a pillow and put pressure on both those passageways, meaning you’ll be forced to breathe with your mouth open, so now your mouth will dry out. AND you’ll be coughing even more. AND now you have to remember to wash that whole bed set bc they have germs on them. Such fun ^_^

listen man, if this were caveman times everyone would love my audhd, I literally have so many traits that would go so hard in a Paleolithic tribe:

Practically nocturnal sleep schedule- when left unattended my sleep schedule reverts to going to sleep at 5am and waking up at 3pm. I would’ve been that g that stays up all night and guards the camp

For some reason whenever my family goes apple picking or w/e monkey brain activates and I get the urge to literally climb the trees and get every single fruit possible, y’all just know I’d be an amazing gatherer

my special interest in linguistics means I’d probably just spend all day coming up with new words for shit, which back then would’ve been useful since they still needed new words

anyway all this is to say if I had a Time Machine I’d go back to caveman times and put my top notch skills to good use

so on solar eclipse day one of my profs was like “I just don’t get why everyone gets so excited for the eclipse” and it made me think about the fact that like. There really isn’t much reason to get so excited about it, other than it looks cool. But imo that just makes me love it even more, bc it shows how silly humanity can be sometimes. The moon passes in front of the sun every once in a while, and everyone collectively decides to stop what we’re doing and make special little glasses so we can sit and watch, and we cheer when the eclipse reaches totality, and it’s honestly so cute
