Chapter 4:

~ This chapter contains mild swearing ~

Eventually it’s time for him to leave on stage, and so he does exactly that. He leaves and you sneak off backstage to go to the audience to watch how the show plays out

You have the time of your life, honestly and I’m the meantime your friends are also having a great time by visiting their favourite authors and their panels as well.

The way he talks, the way he sits, and most of all his smile, it mesmerises you. One’s smile determines the person’s intentions at times and through his genuine smile you can see he loves what he does, and now more than ever has it kicked in. You basically whisper to yourself saying, “I may have just met him but he makes me smile, so hard.. I really do love his work” or maybe him?

Ayaka is beside you nodding to whatever he, Ayato says, and she’s going up on stage in about 10 minutes or so and is just running up from a small passage behind the audience, she’s so pretty.

Watching the siblings together and seeing their bond and true teamwork throughout the panel was so intriguing and honestly inspiring. I remember how they looked, so happy and so passionate, that kind of passion only exists in books, or so you thought.

Finally, his panel ending after 45 minutes though it was shorter it was beautiful and well planned out. You really enjoyed yourself and hoped to see him backstage again though it felt extremely disrespectful to go back up there no? You stepped out and as you were you definitely felt eyes behind you. Oh no, was it the toilet paper? Did it get stuck on your shoe?? Thankfully it was not and you took a shallow breath for a moment, before realising it was, fuck.. Him?

I could see his bright blue piercing gaze from behind me, “Mr Kamisato! Ayato!” You scream a little on accident out of shock. “What, was I truly too good?” He whispers next to you, truly you were dying inside.

It looks like you were avoiding him (though you clearly were), even if you really loved his panel. “I wasn’t avoiding you I swear I just I didn’t want, I..” ugh, do I have to start stuttering? “I didn’t want to bother you-! You’re busy! Here on business and I’m your fan yeah just because we talked backstage and you showed a lot of interest into me even as a fan” He then interrupted me by a mild chuckle,

“You do realise how you sound right now right miss y/n? I understand indeed, please do trust me. You do not have to get nervous, and yes why I am on business but as you said, you are peaking my interest, I intent to talk to you as much as I can” a slight giggle and with his puppy dog eyes,

“Would you still like to join me none the less Y/n?”

Is this a dream? Everything that happened in the past 4 hours are completely in my mind aren’t they? How could I refuse his request? Of course I want to join him, but my friends, Hm.

“I can’t refuse, of course.” “Oh? Grea-“ “BUT! Ayato, Mr Kamisato my friends are going to join us, I dragged them here anyway!”

“Why, I thought that was a given miss Y/N”

“Great, good boy Ayato”

What the fuck did I seriously just say that what is wrong with me. The look he gave me after was neither positive nor negative it looked like he was processing so hard that his hard disk broke and he was a robot, I mean he might as well be he’s so beautiful and kind of perfect even if I don’t believe in perfection.

“Y/n, this means Venti would be there too right?”

“Obviously”

“Grea-!!” His voice cracks, out of excitement and god it was hilarious.

You start cracking up and joking around about it with him as if you guys have known each other for 10 years.

You two take a walk to where your friends were suspected, and supposed to be. Though while you were approaching the area they were literally no where to be seen. Ayato was talking to you about some very basic things such as his inspiration to write and such. “I was always a person who took care of everything and anything especially as a child, sadly. Yet it has taught me a lot of things and given me experiences no one else and nothing else could have given me. I’ve become an expert in extremely detailed things a lot my age would not know, or would just learn. Taking care of my loved ones, in this case Ayaka and well seeing my life oh so differently has truly changed my impact of the universe. Thus everything small or big truly never fails to amaze me. I may be in a high position today but seeing the stars can truly make me smile. That’s what gives me inspiration, the small things.”

He left you quite speechless and truly so happy with such an answer. You actually had no idea what to say but you understood him, weirdly.

“Yeah! That’s, a great answer. Thank you for sharing that, I think you’re quite open with this? I understand what you mean strangely. It’s like, I have a thing for baking okay? It’s this bakery thing café, whatever I have it it’s below my house yes yes anyway so, whenever I bake, decorate my stupid little cakes and just watch them grow, look better each time It’s not that I want it to just get over with so I can sell it or something, it’s more like I love the process of making something that’s yours, and then watching the people with hundreds of stories to tell and just, being the main character in their own stories just come in and out and enjoy something I made, something I spent time and energy to create. I made them happy with that.”

The conversation was so open and freeing, you loved it. You’ve honestly never lived through the moment more with a person, especially a person you basically just met.

Chapter 3 : Meeting someone special to him.

PS: Eventually she’s special to you too, of course don’t worry ayaka’s main characteristic isn’t just that her brother is your crush, of course. You’ll see as chapters progress! This is just how Y/N grows.

You found yourself absolutely cringing so hard at him saying it

“Y/n.. right? You have something in your teeth.”

Well of course you did >:( you were eating after all. Still it was embarrassing as hell none the less

He just chuckled after saying that and told me “Hey don’t worry y/n! It’s normal” after seeing my face basically turn red for all the wrong reasons.

“Venti may I get a ticket to your concert? I shall pay you right now I just want to be there the second it starts.”

Venti being the best, he is literally fanboying over him as well. No venti hasn’t read his books until like 2 minutes ago after I showed him my signed copy where, he read the title.

“Why of course! Backstage passes?” He said with a smile so hard his eyes turn into swiggles.

I’m there, in shock basically that he would just do that, none the less Ayato did accept, and waved goodbye to all of us and left.

Ei and yoimiya poked fun at me out of love, while Beidou stuffed her face and venti spaced out. “All, I think I must need new reading glasses” said Ei as she tried to read my book but failed miserably, “Is this word ‘for’ or ‘yor’ or ‘tor’?”

“Ei let’s go get you some glasses, there’s a place where you can get an eye test right here in the convention.” This was so random but you remembered it existed so of course you’re gonna go. We head to the place while Beidou still slips in random food down her throat. We reach the place and very shockingly we have a huge line full of people who’s eyes are probably broken from playing too many games and proceeding to read afterward. While Ei finishes up and yes she does get a prescription, a long one. Ei decides she’ll get new glasses soon with these and as she was walking out she sees this lovely pastel blue almost white haired lady, maybe even periwinkle with lovely eyes and a bright smile

“Kamisato Ayaka” was what was on her ID, and you reconised it immediately. Sure you were confused on why she’s even near the area of the convention where there’s little to no books. Unsure of if you should even approach you head to her and go “Chief editor Miss Dr Kamisato Ayaka??

Surprised Ayaka turned around to see lovely people, mostly just confused on who they were and to see one person looking up at her with puppy dog eyes. Yes that person was Y/N, you.

“Gahhh I’m sorry I don’t mean to startle you!” I said in a facial expression that can only be described as “whoopsie!”

The lady just smiled absolutely flustered as her cheeks turn pink, I smile back and ask her if I and my friends can accompany her as I’m a huge fan anyway.

“Guys this is Kamisato Ayaka, a mental health specialist, well.. psychologist who is the chief editor, sister and best friend of Kamisato Ayato”

“Presume you know me well, I do not know you!”

“Y/N!!”

“I’m yoimiya :D your amount of hard work into being a psychologist and an editor is amazing to me!!”

Venti Beidou and Ei all nod and agree while introducing themselves as well with a huge grin on their faces”

Beidou notices Ayaka being so pink from behind and says “damn she’s swinging both ways for the siblings? What a simp, I love it”

“No shut up Bei babe I’m not simpingggggg!! Especially not for Ayatooooo” “ I said quite loudly which I only start to regret, later. By that I mean now. “

“Ah! You all are off to see Mr Ayato as well? I came here only to surprise him! Must you know him well? Shall you join? Would you like to?”

Pausing for a moment looking at your watch, you decide “damn heck it” while turning back at your friends in a look of consideration. Your friends agree since they only came for your happiness anyway since let’s be honest they don’t care what so ever for whatever author wrote their favourite book unless it’s a comic or an online comic or manga. Plus they were having fun meeting new people and exploring new books to read, for example Yoimiya got this lovely new book that was bright and colourful. It was a book about fairies and definitely looked like a children’s book but those books are so in depth with fantasy you can’t blame her to anyone for liking them.

Agreeing with Ayaka, you all walk to go see h i m.

You all make small talk and just have simple, honest and enjoyable moments with her as you walk across the entire convention just to annoy him backstage.

You all reach backstage and realise it’s literally like any movie ever made. Food everywhere a chocolate fountain expect it’s very very broken and a hot man just chilling on a couch, he turns his gaze towards you all and spots his sister and smiles his hardest, getting up in shock that she came and with the corner of his eye did he spot you, of course. Your eyes met, connected even. His strong blue eyes gazing upon yours and says “y/n?” “Venti! Oh my! Hello!” Ah yes off he does again fanboying. Venti waves back and gets a call, he like a homeboy and also while trying to set us up says a simple thing. “Ehe this callll is kinda important! Ei Beidou Yoimiya come with!”

Oh my god, as if that couldn’t have been any less discreet.

“Y/n I’ve bumped into you so many times today, glad we meet again” he smiles,

Ayaka’s POV:

Y/n.. hmm she clearly likes my brother and definitely knows him prior to this meet, is it strange that I sensed this even before though? Is it weird I met a group of strangers and a celebrity.. Atleast I think he was a celebrity I do not know but he is familiar. (Venti) I just trusted them so easily today, their entire vibe and personality just made me like them so much in the matter of 20 minutes. Y/N, does she like Ayato as a crush or as a matter as a reader who is a fan of a writer.

Looking at them again she sees them conversing while Y/N puts on this confidence that she didn’t have with anyone else up til now per say

Tuning back into the world you finally hear “Oh yes!! Ayaka got me here”

Y/N’s POV:

Why are his eyes so gorgeous why why why why? Yes okay I must talk to him more, I want to so bad.

I got out my phone and boldly asked, “can I have your number?” Instead of opening speed dial, you may have accidentally just opened a dumb meme that Ayato bursts out with laughter at

“That is so funny, what! Really reminds me to go out more! Do you have more? I want more”

Lmao is he serious? This is so dumb but showing Ayaka the memes too of course, me and Ayato decide to sit down while laughing at dumb memes.

Eventually my best friends do come back and we all just decide to sit around while we sit for Ayato’s show to begin in half an hour. It’s so strange how just this morning I was dying that I even got to see him and now I’m laughing at the worst memes ever created with him, and his sister. I don’t even know if I’m dreaming

Chapter 2: Meeting a blue haired fanboy.

You actually couldn’t believe what you were doing for a literal human, “it’s just some guy who knows his way around words” you told yourself but isn’t that any good author with an imagination?

So literally running into the line and managing to finally secure 68th place. Damn not even one spot below?? Very well, you realised your running ability has certainly gotten worse since high school P.E.

Around 10:14 am you’re finally second in line. Like any fangirl you’re absolutely dying just to see his face, you’ve prepared everything you wanna say and eventually you get to him and the first thing you say is.. “Book me I y/n love” damnit! You were in disbelief but nervousness does that to ya. “I mean.. book- you- I’m y/n i love your book”

He chuckles gently holding his head high, “nervous to see some guy writing all day in his bedroom?” He says softly

“Oh don’t give me that I know you have a huge beautiful office!” You pouted saying it with so freedom, unlike your nervousness from like 3 seconds ago. “Anyway look you’re my favourite author to ever exist your books make me feel so much emotion and just, so happy so you better be glad I’m a super fan I have all your books from head to toe I’ve loved them since 2017, you’re the best.” You literally blurted out everything you wanted to say in that conversation in one line, Mr Kamisato, was in shock and was abundant in joy.

Before you knew it you had to leave, plus your phone was buzzing it’s ass off

Venti’s the only famous person you know who still likes Facebook, yikes.

Yeah you probably had to go fast since venti was still in line waiting for you to hurry up while you were fangirling so hard over a blue

boy. You ran to the line where you saw a group of people surrounding your friends and of course, you finally saw Ei! You see that your friends were all just joking around and talking and really thought of how you wanna cherish this moment forever. Just nine months ago you would have never expected them to be as close as they are today.

“Honestly I didn’t expect Ei to show cuz of her busyyyy busy schedule yano” Beidou said with a smile while holding her hand over her waist.

“Why, of course I would fill you with my presence today as I would not miss it for the world, to see you all smile”

“and as Ei spoke lovingly it was our, well my turn in line. “

At the bookathon you took your 8 book bags out, that yes with your priceless books were in and yes you did make your friends hold a few. Guess what, since you had this planned for a month you knew you had the best books. It was a competition on which person had the best books, the limit minimum and maximum you had to show were 30. Out of the 30, you were kinda not loving some books as you saw the people behind you had limited edition kinda from places such as Yae publishing house’s “Yellow House” which was so limited that there were only 2000 copies sold. Yet you did know you had a lot more books that were way cooler.

You finished showing the judges and the results were gonna be in at around 1:30 pm, so now you and your friends decide to finally go eat some breakfast.

While you were there, around 20 minutes in your eye just decided to spot him again. “Shshjsvsushshsh” you splutter out random words and everyone just stares at you in confusion and laughs out of love. Ayato catches this since you were very loud, and smiles. He decides to tell his guards to wait and approaches your table, you wonder why while being really nervous.

You have your socials open as he comes by and he spots this with the corner of his eye

He just came by to say hello to Venti and fanboyed so hard over venti it was kind of surprising. He was freaking out with his hands over his face and everything, his voice went like 10 decibels higher I’m sure of it.

He then looked at you and softly said something you didn’t expect to hear..

CHAPTER 1: just a new book?

Waking up to a notification on your phone you realise that it’s the date for the new book-convention you want to go to with your best friends

Yoimiya, your best friend was never really into reading but she was always willing to try things for you, especially because you’re absolutely head over heels for a good new book

Yeah, no.. just because you love reading doesn’t mean you have to wake up at 6, stupid phone. Well you go take a shower excitedly anyway

You can’t wait to finally go to this convention , since you’ve been waiting for two years since this is the first time you and your friends can actually go to one after lockdowns and stuff. Let’s see, your favourite authors are gonna be there so, better look your best no? You thought.

Texting Yoi or else she wouldn’t wake up, you scurried to your room rummaging through piles of clothes to find your phone

Yoimiya just woke up after you texted her, and only then did she realise the time and day.

Pretty normal of her, you love how she’s down to do anything though.

Yesterday, you got this new top and have no idea if it even fits.

Almost like a catastrophe it’s now 8, getting ready takes time and the convention starts at 9. It takes an hour to get there and you have no idea where your tickets are.

Raiding the entire house, even downstairs where your café is, just to find those pieces of paper that you printed out, and finally found them under your dog’s bed. Mian is (yes your dog’s name is Mian, yes your mother named him that) fast asleep, you give him a kiss on the forehead and he wakes up just to see you all ready and about to leave. So you say goodbye leaving all his food and water out and head to Yoimiya’s house.

Finally reaching there, Yoi was still getting ready with.. someone? When you saw who it was, shocked honestly, Beidou!

“Hey dude! Beidou what are you doing here? Yoimiya what the hell I thought you and Beidou weren’t that close?”

“Heh welllllllllll” said yoimiya while you were still in shock. It’s not too surprising considering you put them in a group chat and never bothered to talk there again whereas they did.

“Babes, is Venti coming or not eh?” Beidou said with her heavy voice and gorgeous attitude.

“Okay, you guys look absolutely perfect, adorable even” yet you’re the only one who decided to just wear normal casual clothing. You thought to yourself on how at-least you’re comfortable. “And also, Bei he is coming, just an hour late”

“What’s new?” She laughed. A smile from all your faces and finally you guys decided to leave. Driving there you guys had a blast, the music, no, no the EDM at 8:40 am could never hit harder. Upon reaching the convention early it was still packed as ever, people swarming the place so many stalls and lord so many security guards

You saw a lot of famous author’s there, people you’re die hard fans for. Yoimiya looked excited but didn’t understand a thing, Beidou was already gone to go get food and drinks and there you were in awe staring at all your favourite books in stalls right in front of you. “Xingqiu!” An author you love, you get excited and wait in line for a while and meet him. Talking for a bit and taking pictures Its already 9:27 and you just got your book “the wonders of yor-land” signed and got a photo card too!

Yoimiya just walked in with your best friend, the drunken bard and points at you in line and waves. From the corner of your eye you see a number of security guards emerge with someone with long blue hair among them. A gorgeous white tux and a smile real bright, you were here for day two as well so maybe you thought you could just stand outta line for the “annual bookathon” anyway, it’s alright you just shoved venti in your place and thanked him a ton while you followed that gorgeous man just because you thought you recognised him.
