Her name is Umbra and she's a future cyberpunk COC character! The way I would describe her concept would be "astral dragon" . It isn't prominent in this shot, but the back of her jacket has a pattern of the constellation Draco. Her hair is dyed (?) purple and there are little stars in her hair. Her weapons of choice are 1) katana and 2) handgun. I'm hoping there will be dual wield by the time I get to play her in 20-who-knows-when but if not she can always alternate between the weapons :3

She's quite tall with a size of 70 so basically I imagine her to be sort of bending her head as she looks at you going like "You good to go, kid?"

Her stats are STR 65 CON 75 SIZ 70 DEX 60 APP 60 EDU 65 INT 75 POW 50

👀 I rolled for these way back and I hope the DM will still let me use these. But I'll use them for sure in the campaign I plan on her being an NPC in! She will be the leader of a runner group :3 IDK if it's cringe or not but the group is dubbed "The Astral dragons" LOL

As for her backstory? Her (half) sister Amaris disappeared a long time ago and is presumed to be dead. As such, Umbra will always do what she can to reunite families and values her new "family" heavily. Personality-wise she is calm and steadfast.

It's a very special girl's birthday!!!! April 1st is Cere's birthday!!! (Lei's best girl 😤😤😤)

So of course, I had to try to draw her as cute as possible to celebrate! It's not very good but I even tried drawing a hand... that's how you know I really tried this time LOL . Her hairstyle changes slightly every time I draw her but I think I've more or less settled on the bang style I'm going for with her.

Did you notice that there's a theme going on for the birthday art I've been drawing? 👀 Lei's friends are all wearing white turtleneck shirts and Lei's children are wearing black turtlenecks.

You will see the twin's birthday art in May as I've already drawn Ceres (M)'s birthday art in January... one of the hottest anime boy pics I've ever drawn frfr

Of Lei's friends... in 2024 I drew Vail and now Ceres so there's one more mysterious (?) friend to draw who will appear in August 👀 I already drew Lei and Elise in 2023 but I'll redraw similar outfits for 2024 heheh so wait until then >:3

There's another favourite I want to draw in June but they're not really a Lei close friend... so I wonder how I'll do the bday art for that char? 🤔 There's also bday art I wanna draw for someone in Oct... and since I missed it last year another in Dec 😭 Too many things I want to draw so little time.

She's been working a lil too hard.

I wanted to draw the Drawtectives main cast before Drawtectives season 3 came out, and I thought it would be cute to draw Rosé at her intern job. She fell asleep after working very late and Jancy is tucking her in (but I assume she will probably call either York or Grandma to pick Rosé up).

Winter Outfits - Vailei

Outfit design is my passion 💅

Redrawing some winter outfits for Lei and Vail :3 You might recognize that I've drawn them in these outfits before as I've posted them on tumblr! I want to use this as a reference to like get comms or drawing illustrations based on them! I also have already drawn some illustrations based on these outfits~

Their heights are not to scale LOL. Vail is a certified short king 💅 Lei is a short queen but she's wearing heeled boots in winter for some reason 😂 (the reason is to slay 💅)

I'm hoping to redraw/ remake the Ceres + Elise winter outfits too but we'll see. I was actually going to use these outfits for another series of illustrations that I even sketched up but not sure if I'll go back to 🤔 I'm thinking about it though 🤔🤔🤔

I really like dressing up my OCs and making them outfits 🥺🥺🥺 I also really like the plaid for their winter outfits I gave Ceres yellow plaid and Elise red plaid as well for their winter outfits 🥺🥺🥺 It's Lei and her most beloved people 🥺🥺🥺 They're matching 🥺🥺🥺 I also think their outfits are super super cute 🥺

If you zoom in there's a bunch of little notes hehehe about the material or design :D Or which things Lei gave Vail 😂 (Like the thigh belt 😳👀😳) Since she's into fashion I imagine she likes to dress him up. And he's willing to oblige because it's her :3 Also I imagine he doesn't mind looking good for her 👀

Lei's necklace in the canon universe was a gift from Ceres :3 I'm keeping that in the modern AU too. Since Vail has silver earrings I imagine he also likes to accessorize a bit and his silver dog tags are ones he bought himself! :D I imagine if he were less active he'd wear rings too but he uses his hands a lot so 😅 Prob not the best idea

Another random detail I want to point is Vail's fingerless gloves! Cuz I actually tried drawing hands for once. It's the runner look y'know. Lei's hands are covered by her fluffy jacket but she is not wearing gloves 😳 So they hold hands like that, y'know, to keep warm 😳

One more detail is Vail's jacket is designed by someone named Nekoya 👀 (You can see the little cat logo!) You'll see her soon but she's a seamstress in the cyberpunk world :3

💌 Love, Lei sticker set part 3 💌

Best for last (?) JK they're all best characters but you know I have a soft spot for my girlie Lei 🥺

Lei is the titular (and main character) in "Love, Lei" whom you play as! She is a second year in the health committee who loves her friends very much. Depending on your choices, she might like one of her friends more than a friend 👀 Her other traits a bit flexible as you have some choice to how she acts, but the fact she often goes home to an empty house and how her parents are both doctors still holds true! :3 I imagine this Lei likes to write letters too (hence the title)

Vail is a first year whom Lei met when he got injured while Lei was working in the nurse's office. He is in the track and field club, which is notorious for being one of the top ones in the country. He has a rather chill, care-free attitude and always has interesting stories to tell Lei. He has a fierce sweet tooth (A sweet tooth, for a sweet boy).

Flash is a second year and Lei's classmate. He has the window seat right beside Lei in class 2-B. Although friendly with others, he has a sort of aura that makes him hard to approach. This makes him quite mysterious and people don't like to bother him, except for when they're asking him for help in math as he is one of the top students in the grade.

I feel like I should make a relationship chart for all the MCs in Love Lei 😂 Because they do mostly know each other. Maybe not all of them but some of them. I could also include some other cyberpunk OCs / where they fit in the chart :3 Imagine

💌 Love, Lei sticker set part 2 💌

I don't know why this image is so blurry it is what it is 😔 Go to insta to see the filtered picture that resembles real life a bit better. I'll try to take better pics one day (ONE DAY)

The next two to be introduced to "Love, Lei" are Elise and Ceres! I think these two were pretty obvious since they're quite fundamental to Lei's character in the original world!

Elise is a third year who has already been accepted to her university of choice by the time the events of the game take place. But she still diligently shows up to school and works hard as the president of the health committee. Talented but hardworking are words that describe Elise very well. She's a senpai that can easily be admired, and Lei too, thinks Elise is someone that Lei would strive to be some day. Most times, you'll find her in the nurse's office and she also often has lunch with Lei, Gigi, and Ceres.

Ceres is a shy first year student who is also a member of the health committee. She often spends her free time in the library or art room, although she's always too shy to show her sketches. Softspoken and sweet, she is someone who people often dote on and Lei is one of the people who does that the most. She has surprisingly good hearing, so it is difficult to sneak up on her. She often has lunch with Lei, Gigi, and Elise.

Three more MCs 👀 (Including Lei) I wonder who they might be? HMMMM🤔

Side note / unimportant note but Elise's design has been the most popular so far! Which is interesting because she's the first one I drew! I think the sketch I drew of her WAS the cutest but I think Gigi's sticker design is also very very cute. I too think Elise's sticker design is the best in this set tho 😂😂😂 She's popular for good reason

💌"Love, Lei" sticker set part 1 💌

So what if I made sticker merch before the game has even finished / has barely started? Hahah jk unless 👀

To be fair designing these stickers helped me finalize their character design!!! Like the types of socks they wear, and the hair shaped eyes and etc! So it was a good investment of time (Trust me bro)

These two are the first to be introduced: Gigi (red hair) and Nova (white hair with wolf ears)! The rest of the cast will slowly be revealed so keep on your toes for the next few days 👀

Gigi is Lei's best friend and next-door neighbour/childhood friend. These two have known each other since elementary school and are very close. Gigi is a very well-accomplished and driven individual. She is the vice president of the health committee and also class rep. Extroverted, enthusiastic, and energetic, she has a booming loud voice to match. She's busy and always seems to be running around, driven with purpose, but will always spare time for Lei~

Nova is rumoured to be the principal's daughter who can get away with things the other students don't usually get away with. For example, sometimes she can be seen playing with a fluffy white dog on campus when pets are not allowed on campus. She is quite friendly, but can feel a bit whimsical and strange as if she knows things you do not. She also seems to have the latest tea and gossip, and loves to talk about romance~ She might even try to tease you~

Happy leap day! AND Happy Birthday to Maria!

She was born on February 29th which means she only gets her "true birthday" every 4 years... but that won't stop her from slaying all year long 💅 She is a certified girlboss who is a key character that sets the cyberpunk vis novel (working on after "Love, Lei") in motion!

She is the daughter of a CEO of a corporation and uh that's all I can say right now without too many spoilers. She has an APP of 85 making her the hottest NPC but I feel like I don't draw her cute enough... she has a very simple design. I imagine she has a bit of a sharp, simple beauty to her :) Her theme colours are red and black for sure.

She's kind of important!!! To the plot at least. But arguably all the characters are important to the plot~

owo what's this? A cute shippy art of my fave OTP? I need it as there are trying times ahead 😔 (I drew this like in late January though LOL so I'm just getting to share it now)

It should have been obvious that Vail is out of the routes in my upcoming visual novel, "Love, Lei"! He can be considered the "canon" route, after all. There are definitely more characters and routes to look forward to as well though 👀 I wonder who of the COC campaign NPCs will show up? :3 Hint I've drawn all of them before :3

So why is our fave blue-haired boy getting a cheek kiss from the lovely leading lady Lei? Well... you'll have to play the game to find out :3

Happy Valentines Day!

Although it's unfortunately a bit belated.

I am announcing a new project I'm currently working on, which is a visual novel called "Love, Lei"! You play as Lei, a second year student at Romann S. High who is grateful to have people she considers friends! As Valentines Day approaches, you spend time with these friends and you might even realize that there is one of them that you want to be closer with...

"Love, Lei" is intended to be a sweet and fluffy otome game with both friendship and romance routes/ endings possible! With who exactly? Well, that's something you will have to discover yourself! :)

I'm hoping for a release this year in 2024~ Look out for more news! 👀

Since I plan on doing a much more complicated cyberpunk-themed visual novel (LLL project/ eLLLeventh hour) in the future, I thought it would be best to learn the engine (Ren'Py) with a simpler project.

You will find that aside from one (should be obvious which), all the main characters in "Love, Lei" are slated to appear in the cyberpunk vis novel :3 Oh uh technically there's another who appears but only in mentioning and not in sprite form XD "Love, Lei" is basically a fluffy, cute AU where the characters are not suffering and told in my baby girl Lei's POV.

spoiler but I already made merch LMAOOO in sticker form 🤣🤣🤣 Before the novel is done I'm already making merch 🤣🤣🤣 I just love making stickers it's true.

Happy Lunar New Year / Year of the Dragon 2024!

Happy Lunar New Year! It's the year of the dragon this year~ 🐉

So I decided to draw my ice dragon girl, Mengxue! Her name contains the characters for "dream" and "snow".

She is an eastern dragon who has a mother who is an ice witch (human ish) and a father who is a lightning dragon. Unfortunately, her parents passed away from an avalanche that destroyed her snowy mountainous village and she was the only survivor... She was raised by her (half) aunt on her father's side, who is the head of a noble family (The aunt's name is Qiulan and she is also a lightning dragon who I will draw one day because she is very pretty). She also has an uncle / father figure in her father's "sworn brother", who is a fire dragon named Brandon. Because of these two people who took care of her, she has been raised as quite a noble lady who is sweet, well-spoken, and demure.

But who knows what she's hiding behind her sleeve? After all, frost can bite.
