i love learning about Bible lore as someone who has never read the source material. It's like being on tumblr and seeing theories for things I've never seen.

being a tlt fan is more fun, too, bc I'm learning about religion in a second-degree type of way that doesn't poison me like it does when you grow up with the church.

I've also always had an interest in the iconography (the basic idea and visual symbolism) of the virgin mary, so finding out that there are some veins of cathlocism(idk if that's what the umbrella term is) that highlight or raise her is delightful to me.

in regard to harrow modern au, i think she would not talk about anything that could actually be a sin during confessionals because she knows and would work with these people so any sign of weakness in her faith is major red flag. she has her big unworthy of life thing she is dealing with, so there's no way she will ever let anyone know except for the big marble statue of mary that her parents have outside her bedroom window.

My opinion on the 'would modern au Harrow be goth or Catholic' debate is that she would be both and it would throw everyone off. She goes equally hard on both of those things and no one knows what to do about it.

I haven't been home but I finally was able to grab my copy! I'll correct myself because it was neither marked with a sad face nor underlined heavily. It was however highlighted in orange(for "omg Tamsyn how dare you do this to me(keep going)") and it had the skull stamp(for /this is a pivotal moment).
