The last two episodes of season 4 being called “Are you my dad” and “I am my mom”. Steven’s identity crisis the entire show but it being worse towards the end. White diamond pulling his gem out of him expecting rose to reform but it’s pink Steven. Confirming for everyone but most importantly Steven that HE’S STEVEN and not someone else and that he doesn’t have to be anyone else.

The way geto went and did probably the only thing Gojo would think is crossing the line is insane actually. Like he could of did anything else but he decided to give the students the same trauma that he received as a student and thought that Gojo would let that slide.

Im rewatching Adventure Time and I’m at season 3 episode 10, the episode where the door thingy steals things that are important and they have to sing to open the door and get them back. I think people that say that bubblegum led Finn on watched the show with their eyes closed.

In the song Finn sings he basically says he thinks that all he is to bubblegum is a knight. Meaning that’s how she made him feel. And this is after her stint as a 13 year old, literally like 2 episodes after.

The only other time i can think of where people say she led him on is when he started dating flame princess. She didn’t want them to date but not because she was trying to lead him on but because flame princess would become unstable if she wasn’t in control of her emotions. Also the whole thing in that episode about her being jealous was a miscommunication on Jake’s part.

This is interesting because one issue(I don’t want to say issue but I can’t find another word) I have with her character is that one minute she’ll be conning someone or paying someone off so Bob doesn’t go to jail and the next she’ll be scared to ride a bike without training wheels. This post is all I can think about when i watch bobs burgers now. Although it’s about her character design it so bleeds into the way she acts I think. It’s nice to know that the contradiction(?) in her character is intentional.

Bob's Burgers clearly took a more family-friendly route, and with that it's extra interesting to know that design choices we see in EVERY episode stem from particularly dark medias.

I was literally looking for this post and it shows up. Anyways That’s so ravens entire premise is the Oedipal Task. I always wondered about the logic of the show and how all she did was cause the outcomes she tried so hard to make not happen. I’m glad there’s a name for it.

the fact that we only have “herculean task” and “sisyphean task” feels so limiting. so here’s a few more tasks for your repertoire

icarian task: when you have a task you know you’re going to fail at anyways, so why not have some fun with it before it all comes crashing down

cassandrean task: when you have to deal with people you KNOW won’t listen to you, despite having accurate information, and having to watch them fumble about when you told them the solution from the start (most often witnessed in customer service)

I know Prismo and Jake were besties but do you ever think that one of the reasons prismo is so depressed about his death is because HES Jake. Like the man that’s sleeping so prismo can be prismo is a version of Jake. It so could parallel how Finn was after Finn sword was destroyed and when he killed fern.

There’s something to be said about Gwen’s dad thinking she(ghost spider) killed Peter and going after her and miles dad thinking he killed his brother and going after him but it being resolved quickly and them coexisting in atsv while Gwen’s dad still thinking she killed Peter even after Gwen revealed herself to him.

I don’t know what’s to be said but there’s something.
