I saw news that Tumblr is going to sell all our work to Midjourney for AI fodder, can anyone clarify or confirm? Can we do anything, like go on private, or is it too late?

I'm so fucking sad, man, this is the worst timeline, truly. I was even working on a new Grantaire drawing to post but it's like... I don't wanna post if I'm just gonna be scraped :/ I had even been relieved before, thinking I'm too under the radar and too niche to be used for that but I guess tumblr has other plans.

Artists are just gonna be pushed out of spaces until there's nothing but fake art anymore, huh? :(

For secret santa in my art dept, we all made art for each other. I drew Astarion holding the kitty of the girl I made this for, since Asty is such a cat lover. I gave it to her in a nice frame, and she loved it, so I'm happy :)

This is my elf bard Rocio from Baldur's Gate 3. He's dashing and maybe a little bit of an idiot but I love him.

I just finished the game yesterday and it was a wonderful adventure. And yes of course Rocio romanced Astarion, he's the best <3 Hopefully more art to follow.

Hi guys, today is my birthday and I just wanted to stop by and check in. I do very much miss drawing for fun and there are so many artists I see that have been inspiring me lately so I'm hoping that I can try to get back to doing some of my own stuff. As you may know, I do regularly draw for work at my job but it's a completely different feeling when it comes to being able to do your own stuff.

I recently just got very excited looking at the work of @nataliadrawing Please check out her stuff. I bought her sketchbook pdfs and got so excited about them I just ordered some new ink pens so I can try doing some ink illustrations myself. I hope I can make something nice. I really would love to be back and posting again. It's just hard once you've lost a habit to start again.

As it is my birthday, like new years its sort of a time when you want to regroup and rethink your goals for yourself and how you want to accomplish things and I just think it would be really nice if I was able to start doing more personal art again. And part of the reason why I'm writing this down is to try to manifest that by saying it out loud. So there we are, thanks for reading if you did and please send me some good vibes and mental waves of support if you care to. Much love.

Nuked my Society6

Just a heads up that I deleted my store considering what Society6 is doing to their artists now by charging them to be there. Not that anyone has bought anything from my store since 2019 and it means nothing to me now and but since a lot of my back posts link to it I'm just saying this in case anyone does try to go there again.

I feel really sorry for people trying to make it from freelancing right now due to Society6 and Redbubble deciding the cool business decision is to take more money from their creators who already barely made anything off of these places to begin with. Boooooo.

Recently I've been trying to go through the Dragon Age games so I can join everyone when the new one comes out. I really enjoyed the cast of Dragon Age 2. I loved how much we got to know them and it was a fun ride. I played Male (default) Hawke, romanced Fenris, and very much loved Anders and Isabela. Was inspired to do some drawings!

I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your experiences as an artist. In high school your posts about your processes and stuff like life drawing truly helped me develop an artist like mindset. I'm am currently an animation student in college and I would not be where I am artistically without your influence as an artist. For that I thank you. 😊 Also Les Mis is such a good musical.

Today is my birthday and I really wanted to draw something for myself. Drawing this made me feel a lot better, considering I have struggling really hard with making anything decent lately, and I'm happy with this.

Since it is my birthday I just want to say I would love it if any adult persons would make their way to my fics and read them if they have time and want some sexy Les Mis nonsense. (Especially In Service and What Fine Marble, I feel like they deserve some more eyes upon them haha.)

Finished my final piece for the class I was taking for fun. I enjoyed it and it's not necessarily my best, but I am definitely glad the pressure is off from finishing this.

More painting classwork. We just had to do the same black and white exercise again (I added a sepia tone after) with a character and prop but with different lighting than the previous exercise. This time I chose to do Frodo to keep with the Lord of the Rings theme, the part at the end of RotK when he's tempted to keep the ring. Simple but I'd still like the share!
