you can hide your pain

so that the others don't see

but baby, you cannot deceive me

i can see the sadness in your eyes

and in your smile

i can feel it in the way you talk

and the way you walk

you can show 'em this happy image all you like

but i will always see how you're hurting inside

dear friend 08/09/20

how can i help someone without knowing what's wrong

i feel helpless, so i put my words into this song

are you feeling lonely, lost, or at war with your mind?

do you feel like you're being left behind?

whatever it may be, please don't fight this alone

it's so hard to deal with these demons on your own

you can always come to me, i understand

i'm here to offer you a helping hand

let it all out and don't bottle it up

and even if that doesn't make it stop

you're finally sharing what's been weighing you down

please don't try to hide your pain, i can see it in your frown

okay i'm sorry, i don't mean to force you to open up

i just don't want you to swallow your pain like the contents of a coffee-cup

you may not be ready to share this with someone

and maybe the thoughts in your mind make you wanna run

i know it's scary and you don't want to face

all the struggles that put you in such a dark place

but pushing them away will only make them stronger in the end

and is it really worth it to go on and pretend?

you don't need to be afraid, i'm not here to judge

and if you don't want this, i promise i won't budge

it's just that it pains me to see you suffer in silence

and i don't want you to be alone with your mind and its violence

that's why i'm here to tell you that i really care

and that no matter what, i'll always be there

whenever you're ready, you can come to me

i'll listen to your story and help you become happy.

daydream - 17/08/20

i keep hiding in my daydream

reality can't compare

but you'll stay unaware

that you're the star in my daydream

-

when i wake up in the morning i just want to go back to sleep

i'm chasing dreams with you in them but none of 'em i can keep

why do you have to be so far away when all i want is to have you near

if i met you, i knew, i could not stay but the thought of losing you is my biggest fear

when i watch your cuddly form through the screen of my phone

and when i see a smile spread out over your lips

i can no longer bear the reality of being alone,

i want to run to you and put your hands on my hips

it's all innocent and pure, i just really crave affection,

whenever i look at you, all i can see is perfection

and when you give me a hug and hold me close

i will look up at you and get on my tip toes

until our lips brush against each other in a kiss sweeter than a chocolate milkshake

it is then, that i'm being torn out of my dream and suddenly lie here alone & awake

that i repeated all night long

your music drew me in so deep

and followed me even into sleep

i never meant for this to start

too strong was the beauty of your art

blindly did i fall into your trap, without realizing

and soon after i’ve found myself crying

over the fact that i’ve fallen for you

and how our love will never become true

our worlds are so different and so far

it puts my mind and my heart at war

my rationality fights against my undying love

though just being able to hold you is all i dream of
