SCREEEEEAM
It’s hard to get a reference for women screaming so I’ve been using a mirror and trying to look like I’m screaming without actually screaming. But it’s a bit difficult to scream and draw so I’ve been using these as defences. One is GAN painting and the other is a ceramic made by Toscano

I love that patterns he includes in his all his details. I think this style is from the 1920-40s I have no idea what this style is called but I love it so much.

This guy was amazing! His art is most famously in Disney sleeping beauty his paintings were in gouche and honesty transfixing his use of colour and shade gives these paintings so much dimension.

A Cheshire Cat
I went to gallery and saw this sneaky cat. If a cat can talk who’s to say it can’t have a human face? I think it’s funny that before the renaissance babies and other creatures faces were modelled off that of men making them look quite grotesque.
I guess we have all got to that stage of a painting when you’ve gone over something a million times and it’s not getting any better and in fact seems to have gotten worse and you just say “well this is it”. I feel like by they time they got to painting Lord so-and-so’a pets they didn’t have any patience to flatter that cats ego and paint it nicely.

Wonderland Croquet
All these images are others imaginings of what a croquet game in wonderland looks like.
If anyone wants credit for any image I post I’m happy to credit. I collect anything and everything that inspires me and sometimes that an unconventional route where I can’t find the artist.

GAN makes me think of paper people. His bodyshapes are so angular it’s like he’s forcing the flowing watercolour into rigid line while it flows in his scenery.

Paper People
I like people.
I’d like some paper people.
They’d be purple paper people.
Maybe pop-up purple paper people.
Proper pop-up purple paper people.
“How do you prop up pop-up purple paper people?”
I hear you cry. Well I …
I’d probably prop up proper pop-up purple paper people
With a proper pop-up purple people paperclip,
But I’d pre-prepare appropriate adhesives as alternatives,
A cheeky pack of Blu Tack just in case the paper slipped.

Grimm fairytales were a little bit more sinister than people let on. The darkness in the originals give the characters real challenges though, and I think its the challenges that these characters overcome that teaches us the most.

GAN (Gösta Adrian-Nilsson)
An amazing Swedish artist and writer.
His illustrations are incredibly geometric. The strong shapes guide the eye around the illustrations.

Every review of Animal Crossing New Horizons: “This latest installment of Animal Crossing is a good distraction from the impending doom that is reality right now, a good excuse to lock yourself away from everyone.”
