─ ✰ XIAO never, ever, takes you adventuring with him, simply because he believes someone as precious as you shouldn’t risk getting hurt and scuffed up. so instead, he brings you little gifts that he sees while adventuring. a glaze lily, protective adepti charms, and almond tofu are all gifts that he’s brought to you before. he’s also much softer with you, never raising his voice and being cautious about his choice of words. if you ever get caught in a physical situation with him, automatically he moves to stand in front of you, one arm protectively circling your waist, pulling you closer to him. being xiao’s s/o, you also get special privileges. while he answers most who call his name, if you even utter his in a whisper, he’ll be there in a heartbeat, no matter if it’s an emergency or not. whether you called him to join your tea party, or if you are in the slightest bit of danger, he’ll be there. he also trusts you more than his logic, even if everyone else is against you. if you’re in a scuffle with other humans, he makes sure to hear both sides, but his heart already knows who’s right. whether there are 100 witnesses who all say you’re wrong, he’ll still believe you anyways.

─ ✰ THOMA is absolute malewife material, no questions asked. sometimes, if he’s not busy in the mornings, he’ll surprise you with breakfast in bed without a special occasion. he’ll peck your cheek and give you a soft ‘good morning’ as to not break the sleepy trance you’re in, carefully placing the tray onto the nearest nightstand. whenever he’s around, he does all your chores too, from washing the dishes, to dusting the house and sweeping the floors. you wom’t even have to lift a finger, he goes as far to make lunch too! since he’s not home by then, usually somewhere in the kamisato estate, he leaves handwritten sticky notes on each lunch box he gives you. he fills them with messages like, “the perfume you wore smells good today!” “your smile is blinding, my ray of sunshine” or “you’re gorgeous always, my lovely.” never once is a message repeated, he believes someone as special as you deserves to hear something unique each day. he even goes as far to make your food cute! he’s made panda shaped onigiri’s, cat-like dango’s… all because you asked him once, it’s become a tradition now.

─ ✰ AYATO never leaves you bored when he goes to one of his meetings. his maids set up a spa day, complete with a makeover and evening gown to go with it, but it’s just not the same without your husband :( thankfully, being the significant other of the head of the yashiro commission has its own perks. for instance, you can walk around like you own the place and join in on in his meetings, albeit later you might get punished by ayato for interrupting, but really, he doesn’t mind. seated on his lap, you play with his fingers and let out a quiet huff. why did you think this was a good idea again? what they’re talking about is so boring, you’re beginning to regret your desicion to join ayato, wishing to be soaking in the tub with a face mask again. thankfully, shortly after, he cuts the conference short, apologizing and telling them he has more pressing matters to attend to. you lead him straight home holding his hand, giddy that he’ll join another one of your salon days. he makes sure to pamper you, giving you a massage and washing your hair for you, praising you for being so patient, even if you were the reason the meeting ended early.

─ ✰ AL-HAITHAM, i headcanon, thinks he’s being subtle with putting up with your shenanigans, but he couldn’t be farther off. he might seem indifferent on the outside, but he cares much more than you might think. can’t sleep? just wake him up at 3am, he’ll wrap you in a blanket burrito and read to you until you fall asleep! just got your nails done? he’ll carry all of your books, what else would he need his giant man boobs muscles for? he revolves around you, as if you are the sun and he the earth. and god forbid if you’re ever mad at him, his whole life comes tumbling down. although if you can’t see it in his facial expression, all of his rationality goes flying out the window. he’s snappier than usual, getting annoyed at the littlest of inconveniences. even if you’re in the wrong, he’ll still apologize first, he just wants you to start talking to him again 😢 if you have conditions to making up, he follows them all to the tee. give you one kiss for every hour he’s made you upset? done. buy you the newest line of makeup or skincare? absolutely. cook dinner for the next two weeks? he already does that.

─ ✰ KAVEH is placed 1st on the list of simps. just pout your lips and whimper a “pretty please?”, he’s down bad. he lets you braid, curl, and play with his hair whenever you want, even if it was already styled in the beginning. he lets you steal all of his clothes, who cares if he’s worn the same thing five times in the past week? you look so adorable in his white shirt, he can’t complain. oh, and if you don’t like his style? he’ll let you pick out his clothes and style him yourself, he’ll stand there patiently for you like a mannequin <3 technically it’s not allowed, but he shows you all of his top secret projects and all the cool things he’s doing, you’re the only one allowed in his office! oh, what’s this? you want him to do your makeup? just give him a week, he’ll perfect cat eyeliner, lip liner and blending eyeshadow colors for you! after you’re done, he lets you do his makeup too, praising you for your talent. even if the blush is patchy, foundation cakey and lip gloss smudged, he still thanks you endlessly with unlimited cuddles and a new handbag matching his briefcase!

To them this is the quickest way to get you into bed. They don't want to bother you by waking you up since you're probably in a deep sleep at that point, but they also don't want to let you continue sleeping on the couch since the chances of you waking up with a stiff neck are extremely high. They’re such caring partners to the point I’m jealous. Some of them are pretty nonchalant about their love for you though, but if they’re sweet enough to do this then I think it’s pretty obvious they’re real into you. Will get really close to your face to either peck your lips or rub their nose against yours, just another reason why they prefer carrying you to bed. I can see them whispering a light “thank you” to your sleeping figure in their arms since they appreciate you trying to stay up for them. Excuse me, I did not ask for this sweetness, ughh.

You switch on the light to your shared home with Beelzlebub, just arriving back home after a long day of seeing your family. He had followed you from the Devildom, not wanting to be apart from you ever again. He’d follow you to the ends of the earth if you’d let him, hence why you were now living together.

Though, the usual bright space was now dark, meaning no one was home. Odd, since Beel was usually there before you. You shrug it off though and continue into your home, closing the door behind you and making your way into the kitchen.

A piece of paper that wasn’t there this morning is hung up on the refrigerator, so you go over to inspect it. It reads;

Dear Marshmallow,

Happy Valentine's Day! I went out to the grocery store to buy some things to cook for dinner (and extras in case the ingredients don’t last the walk home). I want to make you something special for dinner and some other treats as well, but those are a surprise.

I just want to tell you that I’m proud of you. I know you’re struggling with maintaining healthy eating habits, but I see how hard you’re trying. You know you’re not alone, right? I want to help you feel better about your situation. I know I’m not exactly the best example because I eat too much and I don’t want you to feel like you’re not eating enough, but I can try to do better for you.

We can eat together at your pace–whatever you want, but tonight I’ll make your favorite and we can take our time eating it together. Whatever you can’t finish, I’ll finish it for you, cupcake. 

You’re doing so well, I can’t be prouder of you. My beautiful marshmallow, I could just eat you up (but I won’t or else I’ll miss you :( ) Don’t be frustrated, it’ll take time to get to where you want to be, but we’ll figure it all out as we go. You can do it! I’m cheering you on.

As you finish reading your boyfriend’s letter to you, you wipe the few tears that had fallen from your eyes. You’ve been struggling with eating properly for a while and each time you couldn’t eat enough, you always felt guilty. You had no idea Beel was paying attention to you all this time. He was more observant than you thought. 

You jump slightly as the front door opens and all you hear is chewing as Beel walks into the kitchen. Many shopping bags are hanging on his arms as he walks in, but they’re all abandoned as he sees the tears running down your cheeks. 

“What happened? Are you hurt?” He’s inspecting you for injuries, worried about you right away.

“I’m sorry, I’m okay really. Just a little emotional,” you sniffle as you reassure him, “I just finished reading your letter. It was very sweet, thank you.”

He sighs in relief, bringing you into a hug and kissing your tears away. Wordlessly, he turns away for a second, taking something out of one of the bags he brought and gives it to you.

They were flowers–Tulips to be exact. 

“The woman at the store told me they symbolize happiness, romance, and prosperity. All things I want for us, so I got them. They also reminded me of you, very pretty,” he explains.

“They’re lovely, sweetie. Thank you so much,” you kiss his cheek with gratitude, feelings blessed to be so loved by this man.

He melts under your touch, pulling you in for more. He can’t get enough of you. It’s only when his stomach growls that he finally pulls away, remembering the groceries he bought.

You spend the rest of the evening in the kitchen together, cooking. He ends up feeding you (and himself) a few snacks in between that he knows will sit well in your tummy. Beel always wants the best for you and he wants to make sure that you know how proud he is of you.

It was a simple, yet pleasant evening together <3.

it wasn‘t until later when he realised that the ring had a little stone embedded into it which held onto your most favorable color, next to it a larger version of the same product, a little different, but still carrying on the same intensity of beauty.

as for how this day would end, well, alhaitham would continue to page through his book before at last, placing it onto the nightstand, dimming the lights before encircling you in his broad arms, compassionately positioning his head on top of yours and drifting off to a silent, secured doze next to you.

+ ˚ conclusion and alhaitham‘s ways of handling arguments

befitting of his character, alhaitham could become quite difficult to deal with when it came to arguments that would occur just as much as in any other relationship.

it was bound to happen and to him, it was mind numbing.

seldomly he would actively engage in an argument, which wasn't always the best route to take because it was important for both parties in a relationship to be open about their corresponding feelings and emotions.

deep trust was what had defined your relationship, since it was one, if not the most important factor. He was a great listener and once the situation had been properly calmed down alhaitham would appear to go through great lengths to make whatever seemed to had happened, right again.

however, he was quite uncomfortable whenever he witnessed you cry, unmistakably it wasn't in a belittling kind of way, rather did it too, push him into a soul destroying current, masticating him from the inside out.

it was a learning process, a wholly overtaxing one at that, but he did not seek perfection of you and neither did you.

to put it into a different perspective, in the end alhaitham— though it may not always seem this way, did whatever it required for you to be happy again.

he belonged to you just as much as you belonged to him and he wanted, more so desired, to keep it that exact way.

to live a peaceful, tranquil life with his soulmate was something he, no matter what, fancied.

on top of that, he'd make it his top priority to be unconditionally transparent with you, not daring to hide any aspects of his life with you in order for this to work out until the very end.

He’s seated at his desk in your shared room, you are laying on the bed. You were taking a nap that was a lot longer than your usual naps. Al’haitham noticed and used the time to work on some important documents. He was too focused on his work to notice you stir. The hot atmosphere and the blanket caused you to whine. You could feel the fever aching your entire body

Though he feels bad about it, he can admit your noises caused a noticeable annoyance. He groaned to himself when your tossing and turning didn’t stop. “Is something wrong?” He reluctantly spewed, eyes not leaving his paper. Only when he heard a pitiful little “help..” did he turn to you, rushing to your side after he noticed your distress. He sat down next to you. His hand went to your forehead. The frown he always wore grew worse and worry filled his face. He couldn’t help but pull you to him and cradle you. “I’m so sorry, darling. Are you okay?” He softened his voice to accommodate for his rough exterior, not just his physical exterior.

“Don’t.. feel good..” you shivered out, taking a lot of your energy to talk. He nodded and picked you up in his arms. He carried you to the couch, silently, and placed you down. He followed up by wrapping you in a blanket, getting a fan to put in front of you, giving you the TV remote. “I’m going to make you some soup” he gave the top of your head a kiss. He quietly went to the kitchen to focus on heating up your favorite type of soup. You scrolled through the different selection before choosing the show you guys have been watching together. He returned to your side after around 8 minutes, he wrapped his arm around you. he leaned in to give you a kiss on the cheek. You leaned away and pressed a hand to his chest. “I don’t.. wanna get you sick” he looked down to you before softly chuckling which made you melt. “Then you’ll just have to take care of me when I get sick” he compromised before pressing a soft kiss to your lips.

Tighnari

He could sense your sickness arising before you even felt the symptoms. You were sitting on the bed, playing on your switch when you started to feel extremely uncomfortable. You had ignored it for too long now and decided to lay down. Your head was spinning. Before you could even confirm you were sick, Tighnari was back from the store. He went straight to your guy’s bedroom and came in. You started to sit up. He firmly hand on your chest to keep you down. It was comforting though. “ ‘Nari-“ you were met with his smile and a hushed “shhh. It’s okay. Just relax. I’ve got everything you need. I got you snacks, some gatorade, medicine, and a new buddy” he handed you a cute little green fox plushie which you immediately hugged in your arms

Tighnari strongly suggested having comfort items like stuffed animals or blankets. They help with stress and mental struggles. He usually gets you an item, which is usually a stuffed animal, every time he goes out or can. He already had the remote in his hand, giving it to you. He started to put pillows and blankets all around you, creating some sort of nest. He tucked blankets and pillows under you. You couldn’t help but giggle at his touch, okay maybe he intentionally tickled you just to see you smile. He stayed focused though and acted as though he wasn’t even bothering you. After he was all done, he started opening food and your drink for you. After your medicine, you guys cuddled until you eventually succumbed to slumber, smiling of course.

Cyno

You were a whimpering mess (pause) from the discomfort of your sickness. Even though cyno doesn’t show it to anyone, and hardly shows it to you, he babies the shit out of you. It takes a lot to break down the walls around his heart but he’s really a big ol’ teddy bear, secretly of course. He came back into the room and held up your personalized water bottle he got for you. He glared at you, bottle in one hand and a bag of goodies to help you in the other.

“I didn’t spend 60 bucks to get you your own water bottle, for you to not drink any damn water” he set the bottle down next to you. He took out some food for you to eat so you could take your medicine. While you ate and watched some let’s plays he cleaned up all your gross tissues, silently. He didn’t make a face even when he touched a slimy part. Once you were all cleaned up he got a cold, damn rag to gently pat your face with to cool you down. “Stop being sick.” He tried to be comforting which you indeed felt comforted. He nuzzled into your neck after you had both settled down to take a nap. Once you had fallen asleep, cyno kissed your heated cheek and sighed. “I love you, snotty” he whispered. You smiled in your sleep

Candace

Candace held you close to her. The back of her hand was on your forehead. She shook her head in disappointment “didn’t I tell you to stay inside when it was storming. Now look at you, all pitiful” she teased with a pout pursing her lips. “This won’t do.” Was all she said before lifting you in her arms. She carried you across the hallway of your guy’s apartment and into the bathroom. She sat you on the toilet, you shivering. She couldn’t help but giggle at you. You looked so sad and hopeless. Good thing she was there to help.

She turned on the faucet to the tub, checking the warmth before adjusting the knob. “Is this okay, love?” She asked softly. You leaned over to feel the water. You nodded when it was the right temperature. She very carefully undressed you and kissed all around your body as she did to try and comfort you. She very carefully listed you once more once undressed and lowered you into the warm water. The warm water surrounded your cold body, earning a hum from your lips. She kissed your head before going to walk out. You reached and grabbed her wrist. She turned to you, cocking an eyebrow in confusion. “Stay..”you pleaded. Your sad, sick little face melted her heart. She quickly undressed. She tied her hair back before slipping in right behind you. She smiled brightly, wrapping her arms around your waist, just loving being with you.

Dehya

Dehya was actually on patrol when she got a message from you that you were sick. She got a fellow friend to cover for her. She basically ran home after getting medicine. She kicked down the door due to all the stuff in her hands. You were already on the couch, basically upside down from hanging off the couch. She dropped all the snacks that weren’t even good for you and the medicine. She pulled your hair back and kissed your forehead “awww. You poor thing. I brought you candy! And buttered chicken!” She smiled.

You smiled softly. “Did you get the soup?” You asked. She sighed and shook her head “they were out. But! I got some stuff to make it! Don’t you worry, babe. I’ll make it even better” she said, determined. She helped you get comfortable on the couch and got to cooking. She kept coming back to let you taste everything to make sure it was good. Every single time she gave you a kiss too. Once she was finished you both ate some soup and cuddled up while watching a scary movie. She says it’ll ‘scare the sickness away’. She let you cuddle into her no matter that it was getting sweaty. She loved to see you happy even in your worst times.

AETHER – whose qualifications are outmatched only by his love

When Aether finally retired from the adventuring life, many have warned him that the domestic life will make him even more of a busybody. Aether can see where they’re coming from now. 

But there’s an overarching peace he feels when all he’s going through recipe books with Paimon and watering the plants in the morning. Sometimes, while you’re out for work and he’s at home, he gets a weird moment where he wonders if this is what it’d feel like if he hadn’t retired and you were at home instead. 

Then he remembers that him running across Teyvat while you had your own career back home was exactly how your relationship worked before he settled down for good.

When he’s out buying groceries, rookie adventurers would recognize him as the retired hero of Teyvat and eagerly ask for advice – to which Aether accidentally gives more advice about cooking and budgeting than on battles or domains.

“If you’re an adventurer on a budget, you might be tempted to run a tab on the diners you visit, like Good Hunter,” Aether says as he compares the ripeness of two tomatoes at the grocery. The rookies surround him with bated breath, awaiting every word of his advice.

“It’s more sustainable to just buy ingredients and cook simple meals in the long run. Also I’m more a fan of butter than oil to fry, but my partner says otherwise. It’s up to you.”

With a wink, he walks away, leaving a group of stunned but curious adventurers behind to fanboy about the hero of Teyvat buying groceries.

Aether is an amazing cook. It’s also how he calms down. Following a recipe, pouring care into every ingredient and step, and the sounds and smells of the kitchen all remind Aether of what home means to him.

Making sure you’re eating healthy is how he cares for people. He won’t be shoving food down your gullet, but should you have trouble with eating well from stress or anything, he’s sweet in a persistent way, slowly encouraging you through every bite and making sure you’re snacking well during all-nighters.

Not to mention that with his Anemo and future Hydro powers combined, he’ll make quick work of cleaning house, if you aren’t living in the Teapot (which is likely anyways, because Aether wants a real house for some stability).

You worried at first that he would feel cooped-up if he just stayed at the house. Thankfully, Aether will never run out of friends to visit or hijinks to jump into; such is his luck, really. A lot of his friends still find it jarring when Aether, renowned warrior and hero, can go on and on about the importance of a clean kitchen and what makes a good rice. He once had a discussion with Tighnari, Noelle, and Thoma on healthy cooking that lasted from night to morning.

“The hero is a kept man,” his companions would sigh with amusement at the lovestruck sparkle in Aether’s eyes whenever he talks about you.

He likes going on outdoorsy trips with you should you have the time: fishing by the lake, hiking the mountains of Jueyun Karst, or camping under the stars while chewing on adventurer food.

There’s nothing quite like coming home every night and seeing Aether and Paimon with handkerchiefs tied over their heads, dusting the room while the smell of dinner permeates the house. It’s like the skies have parted for the sun when he happily exclaims, “You’re back!”

Sleepy Cuddles

Just some headcanons of mine that I have for whenever you want to sleep on them

Characters- Alhaitham, Diluc, Kaeya, Zhongli, Xiao, Childe

Warning- Slight spoilers for Diluc and Kaeya’s backstories

Notes: I didn’t expect my Capitano oneshot to get so much love! Thank you all! I might make a part two to this but I don’t know yet.

Alhaitham

It takes him a little while to warm up to it, but he loves cuddling with you when he’s about to fall asleep.

He’ll be reading a book while you lay down on his chest, an arm draped over your back as you sleep.

He occasionally looks down to make sure that you’re sleeping peacefully.

Yes, he will throw the book at Kaveh if he comes into the room to say anything. No, it doesn’t matter what it is that Kaveh wants to say, he’s still getting a book thrown at him.

After a while of reading, Alhaitham also gets tired, and decides to call it a night.

He always whispers words of comfort in your ear as you drift off, and plays with your hair once you’ve fallen asleep.

Another habit of his is that he’ll run his fingers through your hair as you sleep, which soothes him almost as much as it does you. It helps with the stress he feels after a long day of work.

Diluc

You have to drag him to bed the first time you want to do this with him.

However, once he finds out how warm and fuzzy he feels inside every time he holds you like this, he’s willing to go to bed with you the moment you ask.

He loves physical touch, it’s comforting to him when he can make sure that you’re there and that you’re really, truly in his arms.

If you run your fingers through his hair while you lay on top of him, he’ll absolutely melt.

It generally takes him longer to fall asleep since he’s so alert all the time, but it’s also because he wants to make sure you’re alseep before he is.

His bird has a perch by the window in case it ever needs to leave the Winery. The window stays slightly cracked open unless it’s Winter and it’s freezing outside.

Then again, the cold is all the more reason to snuggle up to him, isn’t it?

Kaeya

He immediately falls in love with the idea of cuddling with you when you fall asleep, and instantly starts doing so.

Kaeya always holds at least one of your hands, but will also have the unoccupied arm around your waist.

He’s actually very warm for someone so lithe. You’d expect him to be freezing most nights, but it’s usually quite the opposite.

However, he has mean bedhead, and he also moves around a lot in his sleep.

He likes to cuddle after a long work day when he’s absolutely floored because of how much he had to do.

Kaeya also likes to trace little shapes in your back and see if you can guess what they are.

He’s just a romantic like that.

Zhongli

He’s a very good cuddle buddy. He’s very warm, and his voice is what puts you to sleep most of the time.

That’s not to say that he doesn’t treasure the quieter moments between the two of you.

Nine times out of ten, you fall asleep in his lap while he’s reading a book.

The other times are when he’s telling you a story or talking about his day while the two of you lay in bed together.

His love language is physical touch and I will die on this hill.

If you’re having trouble sleeping, he’ll make you some tea or read you the book he’s reading.

He’ll also run his fingers through your hair as he’s speaking to try and soothe you further to sleep.

It almost always works.

Xiao

He’s scared to have you sleep on him at first.

Xiao doesn’t want to harm you in any way with his Karmic Debt, but eventually, after you persist for weeks, he obliges, and lets you lay down against him.

He warms up to the idea of you sleeping on him very quickly, and soon enough, he starts asking you to join him when he sleeps.

He likes it when you run your fingers through his hair. If you do it long enough, he’ll fall asleep before you.

Sometimes, whenever his Karmic Debt gets to be a little too much, he’ll lay down on you and hold onto you until it passes and he starts to feel better.

Xiao also likes to massage your back to try and soothe you if you let him, acts of service is his love language.

He cherishes every moment he’s with you, and moments like these are the ones he holds closest to his heart.

Childe

Good luck getting him to stay still. He needs to be doing stuff every waking moment he has.

However, if you ask really nicely, he’ll join you in bed and hold you.

He likes to talk, so get ready to talk even if you’re only half awake.

All jokes aside, he loves physical touch. That and acts of service are his love languages.

Childe is grateful for the times that you take care of him after a particularly rough day of work and fighting, and it shows in the way he holds you so close to him when the two of you rest together.

He likes to rest with you directly on top of him or with your head on his chest, while he has his arms wrapped around you to keep you close.

After all, he cherishes you like family, and the way he holds you reflects that perfectly.

we sat in a field of white flowers. with shades of blue and purple tinting their angelic hue, the inteyvats moved with the rhythm of the wind. they were dancing, flowing, alive.

"tell me a story," a light voice hummed from below.

"what kind of story?"

"anything."

i tightened my hold around her frame, carefully clutching her body while lacing her fingers with mine. "there once was a war, that waged in a sea of fire." i painted a picture of soldiers and spears, of humanity versus the holy, of death and destruction.

"despite the onslaught of horror, it truly was as they say: flowers only come after the rain," i paused, wetting my lips with my tongue. "after the war had ended, a hardened yet heartened soul remained, and she went on to change the world." at least, she went on to change mine.

a soft hand cradled my face. "she sounds lovely."

"she was." she is.

silence consumed the space between us. it wasn't an awkward quiet, rather a moment of peace. the longer nothing was spoken, the longer i could ignore saying goodbye.

"can you promise me something?" her words were a question.

"always." my word was a promise.

"say that you'll find me again." she asked, her breathing beginning to shake.

"i will find you in your next life and in every lifetime after."

her hand fell from where it stood against my cheek, her body drooping against my chest.

"i will meet you in the gardens of my dreams, in the whispers of words left unsaid, under the stars of the false sky, on the dark side of the moon." my voice was steady as i spoke.

i gripped her arms as her lips tipped upwards and her eyes glossed over. only now did my voice begin to shake. "i will love you as you lay here, and wherever you walk tomorrow," i swallowed a cry as her eyes shut closed.

we remained sat in this field of flowers. with shades of maroon staining their angelic hue, the inteyvats crumbled under the weight of time. they were wilting, stilling, dead.

as her blood reached my hands and her pulse left my ears, i spoke once more. "and i will always remember how you too, loved these flowers."

if it’s a wedding with an open bar..do you really even have to ask??

on the ride there, he keeps saying he’s got something up his sleeve but doesn’t elaborate further, just “ehe”

turns out he snuck his pet lizard dvalin in via his..you guessed it, sleeve. dvalin escapes some time during the ceremony and neither of you notice because you’re busy whispering little jokes and comments to each other

you guys don’t see dvalin again until the reception when an entire table is screaming

he makes up for it by making the most beautiful, poetic toast to the married couple

someone wanted to film a first drink vs last drink tiktok and it goes viral but all the comments are about venti’s segment (he’s at ‘tie around his head’ level messy)

pukes on you in the uber back and passes out. you have to haul his ass home after the driver sticks you with the cleaning bill. he’s here for a good time not for a long time

CHILDE

wants to make a good impression so he insists on you giving him a who’s who rundown presentation a week before the big day. calls it a battle plan

there are disposable cameras scattered around the tables during the reception and he tries so hard to take a selfie with you. after the photos get developed it's just....blurry..or a bunch of photos of the top of your heads..or one of you is cut out of the frame..or -

the photos he takes of you are very cute though! and he took so many! they’re not the best quality but they have the candid blurry aesthetic™ going on

good at formal dances but is otherwise so stiff. hu tao convinced him it’d be a fun idea to throw it back; he’s never been more embarassed in his life

you think it's adorable but your mean cousin makes a comment and you're about to beat their ass for his honor (to be fair you did hear his bones crack but that’s not the point)

comes off very cold when you introduce him to everyone; he's very respectful (especially to elders) but he just isn't a very social person

one dance and that’s it. it’s a slowdance and he’s looking everywhere except at you. help him he’s nervous

the two of you end up leaving the party for some fresh air and take a walk around the gardens outside the venue

you watch the firework show from your spot in the garden as well. his eyes aren’t on the fireworks though

DILUC is always touching you during the winter. whether it be holding your hand walking the streets of mondstadt or cuddling you under the plush and exorbitant sheets of your shared bed. his vision is extremely pleasant to have during the chilly season. spending the winter season with the redhead feels like a rom-com, with you two being the main characters. sharing soft kisses while the moon emits a white glow on both of your features to cuddling on the couch after work was finished for the day, he loves it all. he loves you so fucking much and will always be there to fight off the festering cold.

ITTO is honestly one of the best people to come to when you're cold. because of his contentious outwear, he gets cold often. meaning, he owns many blankets and heatpads to keep himself warm at home. you two probably would make a fort with all your blankets, running under it like children at a sleepover. when you're under the covers, talking about a new book the yae publishing house leaked, he can't help but have the widest smile on his face. how could he not? he feels all warm and he's sure it can't be because of the 6 blankets atop the both of you.

CHILDE is from the coldest nation in teyvat. he has a plethora of clothes fit for the winter and he is always willing to share his warmth with you. going back to snezhnaya along with him always prompted the chance to offer to share his large coat. taking you in his arms, you slide into his coat with ease. you sit under a building while you're on his lap, the both of you sharing the coat to take all the warmth it can give. he presses warm kisses to your forehead and brings you closer in his arms. despite the biting snezhnayan cold, the eleventh harbinger will always have open arms to warm you.

KAEYA isn't the best to be with in the cold. although you're freezing your fucking balls off, he's accustomed to the cold. he always teases you about it but still makes you hot chocolate. he always flicks the cool water on your bare arms to mess with you but still gets you blankets from diluc so that they're warm. however,he will forever make sure you're comfortable and suited for the cold. after all, he can't have his love being all cold while he's just fine. when out in public, he'll make sure you have anything you need to be warm. despite the relentless teasing, he loves you oh so much and wants you to be all warm.

ZHONGLI has been alive longer than everyone from mondstadt combined. he knows exactly what to do to help you from the liyue cold. although, childe did help him quite a bit with his snezhnayan knowledge. he makes the both of you cups of hot peppermint tea while looking out on liyue harbor. the comforting silence surrounds the both of you as you watch the people of liyue with your tea in your hands. it might be even warmer instead but the balcony seemed so much better. few words are exchanged but he wouldn't have it any other way.

rays of sunshine peak through the thicket of lush green leaves above you and warm your exposed arms and cheeks. the scent of sweet grapes and the flowers of your nearby garden fills your nose as the wind blows calmly, cooling the heat of the early afternoon sun that beats down on the winery grounds. it’s abnormally quiet around this time of day; normally the staff would be bustling about and even more than that, seeking the attention of the man that currently provides a comfortable pressure on your thighs as he rests in your lap. but as dilucs chest rises and falls with deep, peaceful breaths it’s as if there isn’t anyone else in all of teyvat except for the two of you. 

the picnic blanket underneath you both keeps your legs and the scarred skin of his arms from the grass below you. in the warmth of the day he opted for his short sleeve button up and, in the rays of afternoon light, you couldn’t stop yourself from admiring the parts of him he rarely showed outside your bedroom. scars, discolored skin from burns, the pale patches untouched by any weapon or element, it was all a beautiful part of him, even if he thought otherwise. but knowing he’s comfortable around you enough to show you so casually like this.. you wonder if he knows how thankful you feel to have his trust and his heart, how much you will cherish all of him until the end of all time.
