that moment when you realize how much someone truly loves you
guitars that have so many stickers, you can barely see the wood
buying a new fuzzy blanket
the little scratch of stubble when you kiss
laughing when his glasses poke you in the forehead
falling asleep with your legs on top of his on the couch
massaging his head when he’s had a long day
oversized sweatshirts to avoid the paparazzi when he’s coming over
long facetime calls even though it’s three in the morning in his time
voice messages instead of texts bc he wants to hear your voice
hearing your voice in a song
turning your little doodles into the cover of his next solo
whispers about the future that dissolve into the hot summer sky as he looks at you with eyes filled with hope
musky cologne that reminds you of the forest after it rains
the color gray
love.

thoughts on taeyong's shalala album
SHALALA- literal slay. the most neo debuted with the most neo solo. his little "let's go" scratches my brain. the chorus is so catchy. my only complain is i wish the song was longer ITS TOO SHORT I WANTED MORE.
GWANDO- very chill and relaxing song. very krnb if that makes sense. i love the instrumental.
Move Mood Mood- the opening verse hooked me right away. taeyong's vocals AAAAHHH. the song is very cute and refreshing. wendy's verse is so sweet omg and so cute this song is very like first love/ falling in love vibes love it
Virtual Insanity- I LOVE THE INSTRUMENTAL OMFG. TAEYONG CAME TO EAT. the prechorus eats. this is so taeyong i love it. the bridge okAYYYY. the ending instrumental OMFG ASKJFOSJFO
RUBY- okay the transistion from virtual insanity to this song is so smooth. immediate like. omg. I LOVE THIS. this is what i like to see. also this song having a connection to taeyong's pet ruby who passed adds another layer to this song. THE BRIDGE IS HEAVENLY!!! major slay
404 File Not Found- okay the intro👀👀👀the rap goes hard ugh. i love the bridge omg like the muffled echoy sound.
Back to the Past- love it!!! the rap and the vocals are so nicely fit together. the vocals toward the end omgomgomg
overall i love this album. we are able to see taeyong's range as an artist and all the songs are bangers! can't wait to see what else taeyong has in store!! STREAM SHALALA

Hi! I'm back and here's my fic!!! I finally got around to finish it lol. It's based on this prompt: Autumn, the bittersweet season filled with the realization of our endearment towards another, or the realization that we don’t love them anymore. It’s supposed to be filled with, heart-breaks and heart-makes. (i.e, in relationships) from the Seasons of Love Collab.
I can not find the link to it T^T so uhhh if someone knows where @moonsclover went and where the collab link is, please leave a link in the notes lol. anyways enjoyyyy!!
Summary: Autumn, the season you used to associate with the failure of your first relationship takes on a new meaning when you find yourself presented with a second chance.
Alternatively, you and jisung break up in autumn and fall back in love in autumn.
Pairing: park jisung x fem!reader
Genre: best friends to lovers, exes to lovers, a little high school au, mainly college au, fluff, angst (but barely there, just for plot)
Warnings: bad grammar lol (grammarly can only do so much), kissing, (i think thats about it), if i forgot anything pls let me know:)

Disclaimer: I am in no way claiming this is how these celebrities mentioned in my story behave in real life. This story is all fiction.
This my original work so please do not copy or repost. Reblogging is perfectly fine tho <3
The warm breeze tickled your cheeks as you strolled down the walkway of your college campus. The ground was covered with a variety of hues: yellows, oranges, reds, pinks, and browns. With each step taken, a crunch sounded from underneath your shoes. The campus looked picturesque during this time of year. The trees had numerous colors sprinkled amongst their leaves. To others, it was healing to take a quick stroll around campus before classes with no company but the wind, leaves, and trees. For you, this season brought you nothing but bittersweet memories. Some may say you are overreacting. But to you, this season reminded you of a love that could have worked only if you had more time.
You met Park Jisung in your senior year of high school. You were a new student and he was your deskmate. Cliche, I know right? Neither of you talked. It wasn’t until you were forced to. Okay, forced is too harsh of a word. Paired is more suiting. You were paired with Jisung on a project together. Oddly enough, you had a lot in common with the tall, lanky, browned-hair boy. You both liked soccer. Although, he was way more committed than you were. After all, he was the captain of the soccer team. You just played for fun. You both liked dancing. You were part of a dance crew before you moved. Jisung was currently in a dance crew. When you and Jisung started to hang out outside of school, you would play soccer with him or share a choreography you were working on. You enjoyed being with Jisung. It wasn’t too far later that you started to crave Jisung’s company. His awkward laugh and cute smile drew you in.
He would remember random things about you. That one time, in passing you told Jisung how you had been craving boba. Later that day, Jisung handed you a Brown Sugar Milk Tea. Your eyes widened as you took the cup. “Jisung?! What? Thank you so much! How much was it?”
“It’s okay! You don’t need to pay me back,” Jisung gave you a shy smile and went to his next class. Turns out Jisung had an off period and decided to make a twenty-minute drive to the bubble tea shop downtown.
You realized you liked Jisung as the leaves began to change from green to brown. It was your senior year after all but you still wanted to give high school romance a chance. Although deep down, you knew high school romances don’t last. You worked up all the courage you had in your 18-year-old body and confessed to him.
“Jisung! I have something to tell you,” You called after Jisung in the hallway.
He whipped his head around to look down at you. You and Jisung had quite a height difference. “What is it Y/n? Did something happen?”
“Jisung, I like you.” You said in one breath.
Jisung stared at you with pink-tinted cheeks. He turned his head away before saying, “I like you too, Y/n.”
Just like that, you had your first boyfriend. Jisung was a wonderful boyfriend. I mean as wonderful as any 18-year-old boy can get. He would drive you to and from school. You guys would go on dates together to the boba shop and cafes downtown. He was your first boyfriend, the first hand you held, the first boy who liked you, and the first kiss. You still hold that memory of your first kiss close to your heart.
It was a warm afternoon on Saturday. Jisung took you to the playground nearby his house. You were sliding down the slides, climbing over all the equipment like an excited toddler. Playgrounds were yours and Jisung’s favorite place to go together. Something about being able to channel your inner kid with the person you loved felt special. The swings were your favorite part of the playground. Being able to reach the top and see everything and in the next moment be on the ground level was a great comfort to you. You knew what was going to happen, but could still fall back if needed.
“Y/N! Get off the swings! Come ride the seesaw with me,” Jisung called out.
“Ji, give me a couple more minutes,” you called back.
Jisung stood from his spot by the seesaw and stood a little bit in front of the swing so he wouldn’t get kicked by your feet.
“Y/N! Please, it’s starting to get dark and we will have to go back soon,” Jisung tried to reason.
Your swing started to slow down and soon enough the swing stopped moving. Jisung took this as his chance to grab onto the chains to stop you from moving again. Jisung's arms caged your frame and caused you to look up at him. You realized that even though you have been with Jisung for 6 months; he has never stood this close to you.
“Ji, I can’t get up and go to the seesaw if you keep trapping me.” “You look really pretty today.” You both spoke at the same time.
“Jisung what?” You felt your face heating up at his compliment.
“You look really pretty,” Jisung said as he stepped even closer if that was possible. He bent down so he was at eye level with you on the swing.
“Jisung, you know that flattery doesn’t work on me,” You rolled your eyes. The next events were a blur, but before you knew it his lips were on yours. It was a sweet, short, and feather-light kiss, but it still gave you butterflies and made you giddy. When Jisung pulled away he had a tiny smirk on his face. You bit your lip to hide your smile but unfortunately were unable to. You grabbed Jisung’s hand and dragged yourselves to the seesaw.
Eventually, all good things must come to an end. It was June of your Senior year. College decisions were finalized. You chose to major in writing at a nearby university. Jisung, on the other hand, got accepted into a world-renowned university abroad on a soccer scholarship. You were next to him when he received the news. At that time all you felt was happiness, you didn’t think about the consequences of him moving away. You were naive and believed that you and Jisung could get past any barrier. Jisung believed this too.
_________________
There were three months before Jisung had to leave. You and Jisung spent the remaining months together to your fullest. You would spend the summer working at the boba shop (that Jisung bought you boba from) together. When you guys weren’t working, you spent your days at the playground or by the poolside. You spent your nights together in your room. With no light but the moonlight streaming through the window, and no other sounds but the quiet snores coming from Jisung. When Jisung was hanging out with his friends, you spent those moments with your other friends. You even said your first “I love you”s together.
Soon enough the last couple of days of August were slowly creeping up on the two of you. You were in Jisung’s room packing up the last of his stuff.
“You looked so cute here Ji!” You squealed while looking at a photo frame with baby Jisung in it.
He was bundled up in coats and scarves while standing in a snowy background.
“Oh my gosh, Y/n. Help me pack! Stop staring at my baby photos,” Jisung whined as he took the photo frame from your hands and placed it on his bare desk.
“Wait you aren’t bringing that photo with you?” You asked as you continued to walk around his room in search of other objects to pack away.
“What would I do with a baby photo of myself in a foreign country?” Jisung asked as he taped up one of the full boxes.
“Oh, fair point,” you laughed as you found a pair of socks that weren’t packed away yet.
“Plus, I should probably leave it behind so my mom has some photos to look at. As a matter of fact, I will probably leave most of the photos in my room at home.” Jisung said while standing up to unpack the box filled with photo frames and placed them on his desk.
Your eye caught one of the photo frames on the desk. You took the remaining steps over to where Jisung was by his desk. “Don’t tell me you aren’t gonna bring any photos of us together?! Your roommate needs to know that you have an absolute hottie and baddie of a girlfriend back home,” you dramatically flipped your hair.
Jisung laughed, “My roommate will surely know of my ‘absolute hottie and baddie of a girlfriend’ because my lock screen is a picture of us together. Plus, I will be FaceTiming you every night after I talk to my parents.”
“Okay, fair,” you relented.
“Jisung?”
“Huh?” Jisung called back as he taped up his last box.
“Promise you won’t forget me?”
Jisung lightly chucked before he walked up to you. He held your hands, “I will not forget you Y/n.”
_________________
It was the day that you were going to send off Jisung. You stayed over at his house the night before so that it would be easier for you to send him off.
“Y/n wake up, we have to get to the airport in an hour” Jisung shook you awake.
You climbed out of bed and brushed your teeth with Jisung. You laughed seeing Jisung’s tired expression as he brushed his teeth. You tried to smooth down some of his hair that stood up.
You threw on a hoodie over your pajamas and headed downstairs to eat breakfast.
“Good morning Mrs. and Mr. Park,” You greeted as you sat down at the table.
“Good morning Darling,” Mrs. Park greeted you as she placed your breakfast in front of you.
“Good morning Y/n,” Mr. Park smiled as he continued to eat his breakfast.
You thanked Mrs. Park as Jisung lugged the remaining of his luggage to the front door.
“Sungie, your breakfast is here come eat,” Mrs. Park called from the kitchen.
Jisung entered the kitchen in a black hoodie and greeted his parents before diving into his meal.
~
Even at six in the morning, the airport was crowded. Your eyes took a while to adjust to the fluorescent lights that lit up the venue. Jisung linked his hands with yours and dragged you in the direction of the front desk. You helped Jisung check in, and soon after you followed his parents over to where his gate was.
Jisung’s flight was at 9 AM, so you guys still had some time to kill. Jisung spent the remaining hours talking with his parents. You tried to stay awake, but you felt yourself drifting off. You fell asleep snuggled against Jisung’s chest. You awoke shortly after.
“Wow, you finally woke up,” Jisung joked.
“Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry,” You sat up and fixed your hair. “How long till your flight?”
“Thirty minutes,” Jisung answered.
You felt your heart sink. “Okay, well let’s use the best of your time!”
“Hey, Y/n and I are going to walk around for a bit,” Jisung said as he stood up with you.
“Okay, don’t go too far because your flight is soon,” Mrs. Park reminded.
“Got it,” Jisung said before he dragged you away.
You and Jisung joined the busy crowds as you walked past the various shops hand in hand.
Although you wouldn’t be able to see Jisung in the coming months, you weren’t too nervous. You could always FaceTime him. Plus, you believed that what you and Jisung had could withstand anything. Even distance. Oh, how wrong you were to think that.
“Flight 0205 will be boarding in 10 minutes, please start heading to gate 5.”
“I guess that’s our cue to head back,” Jisung said. You guys headed back to where his parents were.
“Now boarding Flight 0205, Row E please line up,” An airport staff announced.
“Which row are you in Jisung?" Mr. Park asked.
“I’m Row B,” Jisung responded.
“Row C is now boarding,” An airport staff announced.
You stood to the side and let Jisung say his goodbyes to his parents. You watched as Mrs. Park embraced Jisung. Your eyes followed as Mr. Park patted Jisung on his back and told him something that you didn’t catch.
“Okay, we have said our goodbyes. We will let you kids say your goodbyes,” Mrs. Park said as she and her husband stood off to the side.
Jisung lugged his suitcase over to where you were standing, “So I guess this is it?”
“Ji, you make it sound like I’m never gonna see you again,” You laughed.
“I know,” Jisung looked down at his shoes, “I’m just worried we will drift away.”
“Jisung, we can facetime every night if you want, plus there are still breaks. I can fly over to visit or you can fly here!” You explained.
“I know. I will make sure to facetime you every chance I get,” Jisung said while pulling you into a hug.
“We won’t drift apart Jisung. You don’t have to worry,” You said into his chest.
“Now boarding Row B,” the airport staff announced.
“I guess that’s my cue to go,” Jisung mumbled.
“Yea,” You looked up at him with wide eyes.
He leaned down to press a kiss to your forehead, “I love you, Y/n.”
You smiled, “I love you too, Jisung.”
You waved goodbye to each other as he boarded his flight. You saw his figure go deeper and deeper into the airplane. The Y/n at that time was naive, too naive.
_________________
You moved into your dorms a couple of weeks later. You haven’t seen Jisung in two weeks, but you guys still texted every day. You understood that he was probably busy unpacking, learning a new language, and making new friends. You couldn’t lie and say that you had lots of free time. University was difficult. On top of adjusting to the new environment, you had to find friends, and keep up with the mountains of school work. Luckily, finding friends wasnt too difficult. You settled down in a group of 4 people (including you). Yejin, sophomore, ulzzang vibes, and studying biochem. Hyunji, freshman, black hair with bangs and blonde highlights, and studying computer science. And Dara, a sophomore, is the embodiment of a sorority girl but isn’t in a sorority and is studying psychology. Your roommate was nice enough so you couldn’t complain.
~
You were sitting at your desk; when your phone screen lit up with a call. You peered over your stack of books; to see that Jisung was the culprit. A smile donned your face as you picked up the call.
“Hey Ji, what’s up?”
“Y/N!!!! I missed youuu.”
“I missed you too! How’s college? Are the people nice?”
“Hehe, college is okay...”
“Just okay?” You prod as you prop your phone against your books, so Jisung could see your entire face.
“Yea, I mean learning a new language is kinda difficult. Did I tell you about the time I accidentally told the girl at the campus restaurant that I wanted to order a shovel instead of a hamburger?
“What?? Ji, how did you even mess up that bad?”
“I-okay- in my defense… you know what I don’t know,” Jisung laughed.
You ended up ignoring your assignment and talking to Jisung for the rest of the night.
_________________
This long-distance relationship you had with Jisung wasn’t too hard. Although you guys were in different time zones, you guys made it work. You started to doubt what everyone said about how high school relationships didn’t last in college. How everyone said that long-distance relationships were doomed to fail. You and Jisung still managed to make time for each other whether it be texts or Facetime calls. You had no reason to worry.
“Ji!!!!!”
“Hey,”
“How did that dance competition go?”
“We got first place!” Jisung smiled.
“OH MY GOD! I KNEW IT! Y’ALL WOULD WIN!!!! YAYYYYYY! Obviously, my talented boyfriend would lead his team to victory.”
“Haha, it wasn’t just me tho! Ten, an international student from Thailand, who is also on the dance team, helped a lot. It was a group effort.”
“Okay, nonetheless y’all won! We need to celebrate,” you said ditching your phone on your desk to head to your mini fridge.
“Where are you going?” Jisung’s voice echoed from your phone speakers.
“I’m helping you celebrate,” you explained as you came back into the frame. This time there was a slice of cake in front of you.
“Where did you get that cake from?” Jisung asked, perplexed.
“Well, it was my roommate’s birthday the other day so we have some leftover cake. I thought I could eat this slice in honor of your dance competition win!” You exclaimed as you shoveled a piece of cake into your mouth.
“Thanks, Y/n,” Jisung chuckled as he watched you eat your cake.
“Cheers!” You raised your bite of cake into the air before taking a bite.

“I hate my group members so much, Ji!” You whined into your pillow.
“What why?” Jisung looked up from his homework.
You held the phone over your face as you laid down on your bed. “Because this project is due in a week and no one is responding to my texts. No one has started anything at all yet! I also don’t wanna do everything because then I become the annoying and controlling group member!”
“Have you tried reaching out to them in person?” Jisung asked as his attention diverted back to his homework.
“Ugh yes! They all say they will do their work. Except in class, all they do is shop online or watch sports reruns on their computers!”
“Oh, maybe start by splitting roles and giving them a deadline to complete their part.”
“I did that, and they still haven’t even picked their roles,” You groaned while banging your head on your pillow.
“Ji, if only you were in my group."
“What? Why me? I’m even less confrontational than you!” Jisung laughed.
“Yea but people like you! They listen to what you say. Or if you agreed with me then my group members would probably be more willing to collaborate!”
“Okay okay, well good luck on your project! I gotta go study for my exam; I’ll talk to you later.”
“Bye bye Ji. I’ll tell you how the project goes,” and with that, you blew a kiss to the screen and hung up the call.

You were living under the false impression that college would be easy. It was easy up until the work started to pile up. What started as daily texts and calls soon turned into daily texts and weekly calls. Which soon turned into weekly texts and weekly calls. Which soon turned into weekly texts and monthly calls. Which soon turned into monthly texts, and no calls, Which ultimately led to no texts and no calls. You were too busy to feel sad. Your professors thought it would be a wonderful idea to start shoving assignments into your face after the awe of freshman year started to die down. Now, the only times you were free was when Jisung was sleeping. You would send a text to Jisung whenever you could and wait for his reply. But it never came. If you were lucky, instead of being left on read, you would see the little “thumbs up” icon appear on the corner of your message.
At first, your heart ached when you saw the read receipt, but eventually, you felt nothing when Jisung ignored your messages.

The leaves outside your window were falling when you stepped out of the shower. You saw that your phone was ringing from an incoming FaceTime call from Jisung. It had been a couple of weeks since you last been in contact with him. You both had been incredibly busy with school. On top of that, Jisung had a dance internship outside of class. He was also on the school’s D1 soccer team. You couldn’t entirely blame him.
“Hey Jisung, what’s up? How have you been?” You greeted as you dried your hair with a towel.
“I think we should break up,” Jisung said.
The room filled with silence. To say this was a surprise would be a lie. You saw this coming. Jisung was the only one brave enough to rip off the bandaid.
“Oh,” you had no idea what to say.
“I-Sorry if that was really blunt. It’s just that we barely have time to talk to each other, and I can barely respond to you. I feel like it’s unfair to both of us. We can still keep in contact though!”
“Ha ha yeah, no, I understand. You are probs very busy and I’m busy too. So uhm- yeah you’re right. It’s probably for the best,” you stuttered out.
“Okay, I need to hang up now, good luck with everything!”
“Bye, Jisung,” but he had already hung up.
You stared at the ended FaceTime screen. You felt numb. You wanted to cry, but no tears were coming. You got dressed in a sweatshirt (that happened to be the one you took from Jisung) and leggings to go to the dining hall.
You shivered when the November air hit your body. You realized that you may have fallen in love in autumn, but the season had nothing left to offer you if you were going to fall out of love as well. You put the hood over your head and picked up your pace to the dining hall.

You were for lack of a better word sad. Anyone could see that your relationship with Jisung wasn’t like what it was in high school. You chuckled at that because everyone else was right. High school relationships didn’t last in college. A part of you was regretful because you knew that if you both tried harder it could have worked. “What’s done is done,” you said as a picture of Jisung from his Instagram account showed up on your feed. Although you never unfollowed him, you never liked any of his photos. You felt that it would be best for you if you kept him at a distance. (Well as distant as you could get considering he lived on the other side of the world). After hearing about your breakup, Dara and Hyunji kept trying to set you up with whoever they could.
“Yo, have I told you about Jaehyun? I think you guys would be super cute together!” Dara exclaimed as she tried to show you his Instagram.
“Not interested Dara,” you sighed.
“Okay, you know that really cute guy in our gen ed class?” Hyunji asked while pulling out her phone.
“Which gen ed we share like twenty?” You asked.
“Math. You know the guy who sits a couple of rows ahead of us. He’s kinda friends with Clara, the girl who sits next to us in our elective.”
“I have no idea who you are talking about.”
“Yunho!” Hyunji says shoving her phone in your face. “He’s also a freshman!”
“I’m good, Hyunji,” you said as you tried to escape. “I don’t need a boyfriend. I’m not interested in anyone.” You aren’t interested in anyone because you are still interested in Jisung.

Your last year of college hit you way sooner than you would have ever imagined. Dara and Yejin already graduated but they visited often. You and Hyunji ended up buying an apartment together a bit off-campus. Life is going as well as it can for a senior in college. You have an internship at a nearby publishing company. In terms of academics, you are doing pretty well. On the other hand, your love life is quite stale. More so by choice than anything else. You will never admit it out loud, but you never got over Jisung. Every time you saw the fallen leaves, it reminded you of your breakup with him.
~
You were walking to your favorite study spot on campus (the big oak tree on the lawn) when you saw someone already there. At this point of the year in late October, the foliage on campus is gorgeous. It’s one of the reasons you like staying under that tree so much. The person underneath the tree has their back to you and hood on, so you have no clue who they are. You inched closer to the tree when the person turned around. You didn’t even have time to control your mouth when you blurted out,
“Jisung?”
“Y/n?”
You both stared at each other for quite some time. You took a good look at his face. He lost the majority of the baby fat in his cheeks, and he finally grew into his features. His once black hair had been dyed a reddish brown. He looked mature in a way that only time could accomplish.
“What are you doing here?” You asked sounding much harsher than you intended.
“I moved back. I now go to this university-”
“What happened to your university abroad?”
“I unenrolled because my dance crew got an amazing opportunity to come back here to the States.”
“What about soccer?”
“What about soccer? I can still play at this university.”
“No, I mean your scholarship.”
Jisung sighed, “My parents never moved, so I live nearby. I’m paying in-state tuition.”
“Oh,” you had no idea what to say. You were never planning on seeing Jisung again, so you were not prepared for this surprise visit.
“I have to go now. It was…nice seeing you again Y/N. I hope I’ll see you around,” Jisung gave you a tight-lipped smile and with that, he walked right past you.
You let out a sigh you didn’t know you were holding. This campus is so big. I probably won’t need to see him again. You thought to yourself as you sank onto the grass underneath the tree.

“Oh my god, I have been on this line for 30 minutes,” you grumbled while checking your phone.
“Oh Y/N!” Someone behind you called. You turned around and saw none other than Jisung. Are you kidding? What’s the use of a big campus if I’m gonna constantly run into him?
“Hey Jisung,” You greeted when you turned around.
“Hey, do you want to eat together?” Jisung asked.
“Hmm?” You looked around the dining hall. “Yeah sure.”
You led Jisung to an empty table in the corner of the dining hall after you guys got your food.
“So… how was college like abroad? Is it hard to adjust now that you are back?” You asked while you twirled your noodles on your fork.
“It was so much fun! You know…uhm…how hard it was to learn a new language. Other than that I loved it. Although it’s hard to catch up on so much work with midterms approaching, it has been okay adjusting.”
“Oh… that’s good,” You sighed, relieved. “If you ever need help in anything, feel free to text me! My number…uhm…is the same as before.”
“Oh, okay. I’ll be sure to ask you for help!” Jisung smiled.

Ask for help Jisung did. It was 10 pm on a Thursday when your phone rang. Your heart nearly fell out of your butt when you saw the contact name.
“H-hey…” you stuttered “what’s up Jisung?”
“Did you take Professor Kim’s gen ed?” Jisung asked.
“Oh, you mean the history one?”
“Yea…do you happen to have the notes from that class? I’m missing the whole two months of notes.”
“Yea, let me send it over to you,” You said as you placed your phone on your desk. “Oh wait, Jisung?”
“Yea?”
“I have the paper version of my notes. Do you want me to just give it to you in person?” You asked as you looked at your bookshelf and took out the binder of notes.
“Oh…yea. That should be fine except isn’t there curfew?”
“I don’t mean now, Ji,” You rolled your eyes even though he couldn’t see.
You didn’t realize it but you called Jisung “Ji.” A nickname you haven’t used in years.
“O-oh. Ha ha yeah. I realized that…now. Maybe you can give it to me tomorrow during lunch?”
“Yeah sure, I have to go now, but I’ll see you at lunch!”
“Thank you so much, Y/N. I’ll see you at lunch tomorrow!”Jisung said as you hung up.
~
You agreed to drop off the notes at Jisung’s lunch table. You searched for a head of reddish-brown dyed hair. You stood at the center of the dining hall spinning in circles for way longer than normal. Just as you were about to give up, you heard someone call your name. You snapped your head in that direction and spotted Jisung with his friends.
You approached his table and set your stuff down on the free seat when someone else called your name.
‘Wait Y/N?” You turned your head in the direction of the voice and saw Mark.
“Oh! Hi Mark!” You greeted.
“It’s been a while since I last saw you,” Mark laughed.
“Yea, sorry for leaving you alone in Professor Smith’s class.”
“Yea, so nice of you! I had to finish the paper with Sam, who did absolutely nothing!” Mark complained exasperated.
“Sorry, Mark,” you said with fake sympathy.
“Yea, yea, yea,” Mark sighed. “Wait how do you and Jisung know each other?”
“We da-” Jisung started.
“We went to the same high school,” You said at the same time.
You shot Jisung a look before reaching into your backpack.
Mark looked at the both of you, before turning back to you.
You took the notes and placed them in front of Jisung, “We were friends in high school.” You smiled at Mark and turned back to Jisung, “here are your notes! I’m gonna go now.” You waved goodbye to Mark and Jisung.
Jisung sighed as he stared at your figure getting lost in the crowd of the dining hall.

You can’t explain how it happened, but you found yourself spending more and more time with Jisung. Most of the time it was accidental, you would see him in the hallways and greet him. He would see you at the library and sit next to you. You would see him in the cafe on campus and join him for your daily dosage of coffee. It seemed that the universe really wanted you guys to be together again. Okay, maybe that’s stretching it. The universe wanted you guys to become friends again. Of course, who were you to ignore the universe’s wishes.
“Jisung,” You called when you spotted his tall lanky figure walking in front of you.
He slowed down and waited for you to catch up. “What class do you have next?”
“Oh, I’m off,” you smiled up at him.
“Same! Do you want to go get lunch?”
“Yeah sure.”
Hyunji💐: hey are you off now?
Hyunji💐: wanna get lunch
You: yea but i already promised someone else i’d get lunch with them:(
You: i’ll get dinner with you ☺️
Hyunji💐: fine 😑
“Yea, do you wanna go to the new pizza place that opened up on campus?” You asked as you tightened the straps on your backpack.
~
“Y/N!” You looked up as Jisung called your name. “Are you still coming over today? I still need that textbook.”
“Yea, I’ll be over after my last class,” You said as you shoved a spoonful of pasta into your mouth.
“Okay, great!” Jisung waved goodbye before walking in the direction of his table.
“Boyfriend?” Hyunji asked while exaggeratedly wiggling her eyebrows and fingers.
“No.” You rolled your eyes. “He’s my EX-boyfriend.”
“WHAT?”
“Yea, we dated in high school and a little bit in college.”
“Ohhh, that’s Jisung right?”
“Yep,” You said, popping the p.
“I guess you guys are on good terms?”
“Yea. He moved back so now I see him a lot. I thought it’d be very awkward spending time with him, but rather it’s very comfortable.”
“Oh? Does that mean I should be expecting you to be cuffed soon?”
“Cuffed?”
“You know, taken,” Hyunji explained while sipping her iced latte.
“No, I know what cuffed means. I mean, you think we are gonna date again?”
“Well, y’all look cute together and it seems that he doesn’t hate you. We all have to start somewhere right?”
“Ha ha yea,” You sarcastically agreed.
~
A couple of days later, you saw Jisung walking closely with a girl you haven’t seen before. Out of curiosity, your eyes followed the two. You saw the girl laugh at something Jisung said. You decided to return your attention to the laptop in front of you. Yet you constantly felt your attention being pulled back to Jisung and the girl next to him. You don’t know why. You blamed it on being nosy. You took some time to look at the girl. Her hair was long but not too long to be troublesome. She was wearing a gray sweatshirt and jeans. You noticed that her style closely resembled Jisung’s. For some reason, that fact made you a little bit sad. Before you could turn your attention back to your screen, Jisung saw you and waved to you. Are you kidding me? You waved back. You were about to, once again, return your attention to your screen, when Jisung gestured to come to join him and the girl. You studied the girl’s expression and oddly enough she didn’t seem mad that you would be joining them. You shot Jisung a thumbs up and packed up your stuff. You made the trip halfway across the room and joined Jisung and the girl.
“Hey Y/n, this is Hana. She’s my cousin. She also attends class here, and we were catching up!”
You felt yourself releasing a breath you didn’t even know you were holding. You waved at Hana, “Hi nice to meet you, I’m Y/n. I’m majoring in Writing, specifically Journalism. What about you?”
“Oh, I’m a mechanical engineering major!” Hana responded.
You realized that you got along really well with Hana. She's both nice and fun to be around.
“Let’s hang out sometime!” Hana said as she got up, “I need to get to my next class see you around! Bye Jisung!”
You waved goodbye with a smile. Once she left the room you turned to Jisung, “She’s so nice! How come I have never met her before?”
“Oh, you know how my Aunt divorced?” Jisung asked.
“Yea?”
“Well, my Aunt remarried and married Hana’s father.”
“Ohhh. I was about to say that y’all don't look alike at all.”
“Haha, yea.” Jisung scratched his head before asking “I’m free this evening so do you wanna go and get dinner?”
“Of course! Text me where to meet up!”
“Oh yea, I will,” Jisung shyly smiled.

You were walking side by side with Jisung when all of a sudden you heard someone scream “WATCH OUT!” You realized too late that someone on a skateboard was coming toward you at full speed. You braced for impact but oddly enough it never came in the way you were expecting. Instead of the ground, you made contact with Jisung’s chest.
“Hey, watch where you are going!” Jisung yelled toward the person on the skateboard.
You looked up into Jisung’s worry-filled eyes and decided that Jisung looked nice with the sun shining on him.
“Are you okay? You didn’t get hurt right?” Jisung barraged you with questions while searching all over to make sure you were fine.
“Yea-Yea I’m fine,” you said as you shook off your daze. “Jisung, I’m fine. You pulled me away before they could crash into me.”
“Oh okay…you sure you’re fine?” Jisung asked unconvinced.
“I’m fine. Thank you, Ji,” You didn’t realize you called Jisung by his old nickname until it was too late.
You noticed a light pink tint on Jisung’s cheeks before he nodded his head and faced the front again.

You were sitting in Jisung’s room watching a movie on his bed when he suddenly turned to you. “Do you wanna order takeout?”
You didn’t turn your head and answered “Shhh! I’m tryna watch the movie!”
“But food?” Jisung asked, reaching down to pick up his phone.
You turned your head just as he sat back up. It seemed that time froze at that moment.
It was unclear to you how long you were staring into Jisung’s eyes, but you do know that you were the one who moved first. In a blink of an eye, your lips were on Jisung's. Your lips moved on their own and it felt so much more real than your first ever kiss with Jisung. Jisung was frozen in place. That was the last thing he expected you to do. You pull back and see a red flush has settled on Jisung’s cheeks.
“I’m so sorry. I don’t know why I did that. Uhm…I’ll get going-” Before you could get off the bed, Jisung grabbed your face, and your lips connected once again. You felt Jisung smiling into the kiss, and your lips curled on their own. You moved so that you were closer to Jisung. He shifts so that you are both comfortable. The second kiss is much less awkward than the first time you leaned in. It felt right. After what felt like forever, you pulled away. Jisung’s hair was tousled from your hands, and he still had the red glow on his face.
You giggled, “I’m still up for takeout.”
Jisung chuckled, “Of course you are.”

You walked hand in hand with Jisung to his friend’s table. “We knew each other because we used to date in high school.” You told Mark.
Mark’s eyes widened when he realized you were talking to him. His eyes drift to your linked hands. “Oh, I’m guessing y’all are back together?”
“Yea,” You laughed while tightening your hold on Jisung’s hand.
“I knew there was more going on when you introduced yourself Y/N,” Mark narrowed his eyes.
You mindlessly nodded as your eyes drifted to the window.
The leaves that were once a bright green in the heat of summer have turned to vibrant orange in the chill of autumn. You decided that at that moment, you have grown to love Autumn.
