This Bothered Me So I’m Fixing It

In media, I’ve noticed that characters that grew up poor don’t seem to act like people that actually grew up poor. This is because they’re largely written by people that grew up middle class, or even more wealthy than that, and have no concept of how growing up poor fucks your mental health. The poor characters are usually angry, jealous, a bit self-serving, and while he’s this can happen it’s been over represented as how poor people act.

I grew up poor. And I mean some of the stuff I had to sacrifice because of this didn’t bother me because I thought it was very normal. Not getting a birthday party every year, having to use the same uniform three years in a row, just ripping out old pages and continuing to use my old school book, finger foods night, bodgie night, never being able to get super into video games. Being poor affects more than just the types of items you own and how often you can get groceries. And this is something other people can’t understand and struggle to write.

Poor people have a very strange concept of what is privilege and what they can expect when they go to someone else’s house. The house has stairs? That’s so fancy! The house has a kitchen island? A bar? A pool? That’s all fancy shit. And when a poor person comes to your house, even if they know you’ve got a pool, they’re probably not going to bring bathers. Upkeep of the pool is expensive isn’t it? Why would I expect to swim in the pool and cost you money? (Doesn’t know how pools work). They’ll try to eat as minimal food as possible and drink as little water as possible at your house because it costs money that they’re not used to having.

I have decided that this reality of growing up poor, or worse, growing up in poverty, needs to be shown more realistically. I’m writing a bildungsroman-fantasy book series, and you can find out more about its genre by clicking on the tags. I’ve made multiple posts about it already. But our protagonist, Draco Vitterbyrn, is a character that has grown up in poverty. He lives in a house that is falling apart, his family can’t afford groceries, he has to wear an old school uniform that doesn’t fit right, he doesn’t get proper birthday or Yule gifts from his family, he can’t afford to go out with his friends, he’s never made a big deal about his birthday, he feels like he only ever takes from people that show him kindness.

The Damned Trilogy, as it is called, tackles a lot of systemic issues such as classism, ableism, racism, xenophobia etc., and all through the systemic oppression of vampires within this magical society. Vampires cannot access food to survive, they cannot access housing, they cannot access jobs, they cannot access most of the things we need to survive within capitalist society.

So, Gloob is going to air episodes 12 and 18, when all we got till now are the first 9 episodes.

I know the mayor part of the fandom will watch them despite they're out of order, but I'm not gonna do that.

In this season the chronological order is more important than ever, every episode is interconnected with the others. Just imagine for a moment watching episode 9 without watching the previous 8 first. That would be pretty confusing, right?

For this reason, many people around are considering the possibility of not watching them, especially episode 18, but the same amount of them are afraid of being spoiled anyway by social media, and for this reason they'll watch them even if they'll ruin their experience with the show doing so.

What I'm here for today is asking all of you to not take away from us the freedom to decide.

When the episodes airs, if you want to watch them and rumble about them over social media, please use the proper precautions:

Tumblr: use the #*episode name* spoilers tag instead of just the #ml spoilers one, so we can block the specific tag for those episodes without cutting off ourselves from the rest of the season

Instagram: add spoiler warnings as the first 2 images of your posts (because IG will show you again a post in your feed if you just ignore it, but offering you the second slide instead) specifying the name of the involved episode; when you share spoilers in your stories, cover them with a spoiler alert sticker or share the slide with the warning instead

TikTok: add a couple of seconds at the beginning of your videos where you just put a spoiler warning with the name of the "spoiled" episode

Twitter: other than the #MLBS5Spoilers tag, use a tag with the episode name, #MLBPerfectionSpoilers and #MLBEmotionSpoilers should do the job

Please share these simple guidelines with everyone you know: reblog, screenshot, repost, I don't care! Just spread the word!

Please, tag all your spoilers, don’t put spoilers in tags of stuff that you reblog, and don’t send asks or answers about spoilers for the new episodes unless the recipient has made it explicitly clear that they want those. Especially when it comes to the episodes that are aired in a non linear fashion.

(And please, do not talk about bible leaks at all. If you absolutely have to, no you don’t, but if you insist, tag those as well. Even if it’s just a mention. Even if you just want to compare what happened with what the Bible leaks said. I do not want to know about the content of the leaked bible at all, and I have already blocked people for this and will again.)

My Theia Headcanons Part 1:

There's 142 types of MPs or Magic Professions in the Magic Class that people can choose to learn, such as a Weathermage, a Bard, Voodoo Priest or even Tantric Magic. 👀

There are two different subraces within the Merfolk-Ichthians community. For the Merfolk, there are Saltwater Merpeople, those who live in the ocean and there are Freshwater Merpeople who live in lakes, rivers and swamps. Ichthians or Fishfolk (a race who have webbed ears, scales on their cheeks and on certain parts of their body and webbed hands) can live in either aquatic environment and walk on land, but must always have a water source to hydrate their bodies. Piscus, a hybrid between a Mermaid/man and a male/female Ichthian have the characteristics of both parents such as the lower body of the tail and webbed ears and hands. They possibly can walk on land if they choose to.

Speaking of Merfolk, all of them are Gender Fluid. And it doesn't matter who they fall in love with either; if the person was a gay man, a trans woman, a bisexual Kitsune or pansexual Sorcerer.

Dragons in Theia migrate at a certain point in the year to lay their eggs and/or find a mate as they travel south to a large continent near the South Pole. People call it the Mythic Dragon Migration because so many flies over the cities and towns that people get to see. And it's common to see groups of Dragon travel by land if they don't have wings or if some hatchlings have yet to learn how to fly.

Dracula is married to his three Brides whose names are Lady Lavinia, Lady Piroska, and Lady Răzvana. Dracula has three children between his wives; Alucard from Lavinia, Zadicus from Piroska, and Bellatrix from Răzvana.

Fairies have Dragonfly wings and Pixies have Buttferfly/Moth wings.

The Nekos and Inus are considered "cousins" to Werewolves and Werecats.

Most modern Theians are up to date to our modern likes and inventions but only a few prefer the simplicity of their life.

Vehicles use the raw energy of Magic from powered crystals such as cars for example, instead of basic gasoline. However, it can be rare to find a local resident to drive a normal vehicle for their everyday use.

The practice of having a harem is still in use and is accepted; but it all depends on who is comfortable with it.

I have seen a lot of discourse, again, about minors being in NSFW spaces and even some adults defending minors and that's not okay. A friend and I have done some research and have collected the above materials to show minors (those who are under the age of 18) that it is illegal for a minor to write, read, or interact with any sort of NSFW work.

When you do so you are putting adults at risk because adults will have to answer for your actions. You are putting adults at risk of legal trouble. When an adult blocks you it is not because they are trying to be mean, it's because they are trying to protect themselves and in existence you from anything bad happening. Nobody wants to end up in jail over a fucking fictional story. It's not fair to adults that you're putting them at such risk because you want to read about your favorite characters having sex.

An author has a responsibility to tag their stories, put warnings on them, and at times disclaimers for the stories so that the reader can make an informed decision before reading. If a story is marked as explicit or the author says they do not want anyone under the age of 18 to read their content then don't read it.

Everyone is allowed to have boundaries. Smut authors are trying to create safe boundaries so they do not do anything that would get them into trouble. If a person - whether or not an they write smut expresses that they don't want children or teens to follow them then that needs to be respected.

It is not anyone responsibility to provide minors with blogs that are safe for them to consume. If a minor can find NSFW blogs then they can find blogs that are safe for them.

Parents - and I know there are parents on here - need to take it upon themselves to educate their children on internet safety and not going into spaces that are not for them. They need to be more proactive in knowing what their children are doing on the internet. There are too many unsafe places and unsafe people on the internet for children and teens to be on it without parent knowledge.

Minors: you need to think about what you're doing and how you're putting people in danger. It is not worth it just so you can read material that's meant for adults. Stop putting people at risk. Stop not listening. Stop following blogs that are under the age of 18. You are in the wrong, not the adults blocking you.

Circe is physically 23 yrs old but she's actually 997 thanks to her Elven half from her father.

Her mother was an American Juncture who's a Heinen's 57, had a bloodline ranging from the UK, France, and possibly Germany and Norway.

Whenever she uses her Arcane Magick, specks of blue will often appear in her eyes, almost making them shine if anyone notices it closely.

She can sing and carry a tune very well but is very self-conscious about her voice. Will NOT sing in front of a crowd, even if Raven dares her to.

Absolutely HATES any vegetables coming out of a can. She thinks that it takes out the freshness and the quality of its primary substance.

LOVES cats. Dogs are cute, but she finds the felines more relaxing and easier to take care of.

Dragons are her favorite mythical creatures, and she adores all kinds of deer.

Has a very tiny thing for bad boys with the manner's of a gentleman... >w>

Not a big fan of pink.

She loves anime, reads plenty of manga as she has collected a few for certain stories, and loves playing her Switch. She's paying for the family deal for herself, Lili, Raven, and Rishi.

She has a strange love-hate relationship with heels. She thinks they're cool and hot but she's afraid of looking sexy in front of men who want her for their own pleasures.

Does not like Swiss cheese but prefers them to be melted perfectly if they were part of the main dish such as a hamburger or macaroni.

When she's in need to destress herself, she would settle down and play a few of her favorite VA audios to listen to for an hour or so. If she feels like giving herself a little quicky, well...~

One of her favorite memories of her parents and brother is when they would all go out and have a picnic on Sundays. If it started to rain or during the colder seasons, her father will take her and Icarus into town and treat them to one of their favorite diners/restaurants.

Libraries, cafes, and small shops are a few of her favorite places to be.

If she goes to a mall, she will spend ALL DAY window shopping for games, and scented candles and will definitely go to the movies to end it on a nice note.

Not a big fan of summer.

A/N: Just thought I'd write this because I'm thinking about doing headcanons of my RP story. This will explain a little of what this world is so no one gets confused.

🔮 Theia 🔮

Theia, in my RP story WitC (Witch in the City) is a mythical world that shares the same space as our solar system; a "second Earth" as you will. It's considered as a sister planet to Earth when both were created and separated during their creation.

Where Earth is a place with Humans filled with normal complications and normality, Theia is a rich planet with different races thought to be fictious and Magic used as a daily basis.

The system of both the people and Magic are lead by the ruling class, a kingdom unified called Concordia and the first guild called The Coventry, lead by an active veteran of any Magic class.

All though there are many races, Humans are still the main populous that help make up the planet and some have taken up jobs that requires the knowledge of Magic such as using charmed sewing tools to create clothes, handling precious and legendary artifacts from the olden days or creating potion-like medicine to handle sickness or curing one's self from a magical mishap.

Random Headcanons Part 1:

My Hero Academia

Y/N is the daughter of the Number 3 Top Hero Gaea, a strong, independent heroine who's Quirk is called Mother Nature, bending the soil, the trees, the rocks and it's crystals to her will.

Gaea grew up with All Might and Endeavor through school and she foresaw All Might's rise to be the Number One Hero.

Bakugo was Y/N's first friend, followed by Deku who soon befriended the two when they were little.

Endeavor has great respect for Gaea and admittedly was once in love with her.

Attack on Titan

Eren and Y/N are childhood best friends and she makes sure that Eren stays out of trouble, although she doesn't always succeeds.

Y/N's Titan form is called the Winged Titan. The wings she sprouts on her back are actually crystals seen from S3 after Eren was kidnapped and she can fly as fast as a jet.

She can use her wings to create tornado like winds and launches shards of crystals out of them to fling at her enemies.

She can also manipulate the crystals to have the wings on her arms to use in combat and break them apart from her body.

Naruto

Y/N never did once understood why the girls gush over Sasuke whenever he shows up and she never competed with the other girls to get his attention.

Y/N was Naruto's first and only best friend and she was never afraid to call someone out, if it was needed.

Her parents are one of the Leaf village's top Shinobi and they don't see any reason for their child to not interact with the son of their deceased friend and Hokage.

Gaara was so surprised when Y/N wanted to become his friend, understanding the exact same treatment Naruto went through as a little boy and he was both overwhelmingly touched and flustered, unknowingly gaining a crush on her.

Black Butler

Y/N is Ciel's older sister, being 8 or 9 years older than he is and she gets the privilege to be closely associated with his duties for the Queen.

Ciel told his sister about the contract he's made with the Demon Sebastian Michaelis because she is the only one who he trusts the most, next to the Demon Butler himself.

She comes to terms that she will one day lose the only family she has left in this world and takes each day as a blessing to be with her brother until his time comes.

Sebastian is often amazed by Y/N's complex emotional and mental approach in different situations the more he spends time with her, be it her ladyship helping him with a simple clean up or a hostage situation to rescue her brother. Admittedly, he finds her physically and intellectually attractive but when it comes to her emotions, he doesn't know how to process it yet he isn't opposed to feelings from the heart.

Kingdom Hearts

Each world has a family that lives and discreetly protects their homes from the world's Keyblade they have gained and passed down to their children. The grandparents are called Arckeepers and their grandchildren are called Altors.

Each child that's born within a Keyblade family will gain a certain gift or ability that will tie into the Keyblade that is passed down or will compliment their powers in a balanced tone.

Monkie Kid

My LMK OC Zhen Téngyuán was the first female Sage to serve and protect Master Tang Sanzang on his Journey to the West before she met Monkey King, Sun Wukong.

She became Macaque's only true friend after his fallout with Wukong and gave him his red scarf as a gift of their friendship.

After Nezha was defeated by the Monkey King, Zhen stayed for a moment to calm the young Prince's anger at the Simian. Her wisdom, her kindness and his crush he gained on her stuck with him for many years, with him admiring her qualities, her grace and her beauty from afar.

Zhen has such a deep fascination and love for Dragons ever since she was a child. When she met the Dragon King of the East Sea Ao Goung, she fangirled so hard, bouncing off of everything in her excitement and she's forever ashamed by her behavior.
