Day 19: August 18th
Still felt sick so couldn't muster up the energy to cook any tofu (so don't look at my protein, lol). Honestly, I'm not expecting a big loss (if any) this week because of how inflamed I feel from being sick. But I guess we will see!

Day 17: Still Sick
August 16th, 2022: I'm currently fighting off a cold so I've been very sedentary. Trying to take care of myself while sick. Thankfully, I'm working from home and can take time to rest. I feel bloated and not liking how I look today.
Breakfast: 1 bagel
Lunch: Skinnypop popcorn & Coke Zero
Dinner: 1/2 Block of Tofu, 1/2 cup of wild rice, broccoli
Snacks: 2.5 Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies & A bunch of cough drops (lol)
Total Calories Consumed: 1764
Calories Burned: 2364
Net Calories: 590

The best time to start was yesterday. The next best time is now.
Sometimes I get caught up in trying to make my "first day" perfect. Maybe I should wait until Monday to start. Maybe I should start on the 1st of the month. Etc. But I have to stop waiting for everything to be perfect and just start.

God, I can't tell you how much the "there's not enough enrichment in my enclosure" joke has helped my mental health. Because, for some reason I can't comprehend, pretending that I'm a zoo keeper caring for an animal (which is also me) just makes everything easier to comprehend. Like "Your head gets screwey when you're apartment is messy" just doesn't carry as much resonance as "The tiger becomes agitated when its enclosure is cluttered" because then I'll be like, no shit? The tiger? I've gotta keep things nice and clean for the tiger.

Hi, I'm Sam.
And I feel like I don't know who I am. Like there's a disconnection between "me" and my body. Thus, I'm starting (technically started on 7/31/22) a weight loss/fitness journey. This is my food and fitness diary that documents that. Some more information about me:
I am vegan, nonbinary, queer, latinx, have mental health things going on (depression & anxiety) and neurodivergent (autism & ADHD).
My starting weight is 245Ibs and I am 5'9''.
I will be using cronometer to track calories and will be doing walking, playing switch games, and using an indoor bike as my primary fitness.
Any support or advice is appreciated! For now, I will assume that I am just typing into the void though. :) Wish me luck.
