Pavitr x reader angst please 🙏🙏
Everyone Loves Heroes(Pavitr Prabhakar x Reader)
I gotchu anon ;))
Got a little confused halfway with this one, so it's a bit confusing to read but bear with me because it's 1am and I'm running on Coca Cola and sour straws :D
Synopsis/Feels: Basically Y/N is this worlds Gwen Stacey, famous for a bit at the end because idk, imagine that press scene from ITSV when MJ was talking to the city after Blond Peter died, reader dies(obv), angst y ag but that's what they wanted, reader is a girl, yeah yeah you get it.
Word Ct.: 885
••••••••••
It was just a normal day. Fighting thugs, feeding stray dogs, eating vada pav, hanging out with the rare, the elusive, the literally famous, singer Y/N Singh, yknow. The norm for Spider-Man: India.
Everything was going normally. A little boring, but normally. Nobody was in a huge amount of danger, and Y/N had worn a lovely outfit, which showed she was in a good mood.
He wanted to spend the entire day with her, to not leave her side. But alas, his duties as Spider-Man prevented him from doing so.
He should've been more careful. He should've stopped and wondered why his Spidey-Sense had been going crazy all day.
But no, he made what seemed to be a tiny mistake leaving her alone.
5 hours later, he's saving a bus from falling off the bridge connecting two cities, after it unfortunately collapsed. Struggling and he can only balance one thing, since even Spider-Man can't balance a bus with one hand.
He thought everyone had gotten away. That everyone on the bridge was safe.
"Hey, look out!"
That's when his heart absolutely shattered. He'd recognize that voice from a billion miles away. It was Y/N Singh. HIS Y/N Singh.
And she was there.
He could barely keep the bus up as he tried desperately to get a look at where his love was.
"It's okay...here, I'll carry you." He watched helplessly, his arms aching from holding a bus up alone, and his eyes stinging from the wind blowing through his cracked lens.
As Y/N grabbed the kid's hand, she seemed to notice the same thing Pav did.
She didn't have enough time to carry that kid away.
So she turned, giving Pavitr a quick glance. And despite not knowing the Spider hero, she put her faith in him to save the kid.
And so, a split second before the bridge collapsed, Y/N Singh tossed the kid, then falling the the streets below.
And Pav was helpless to do anything.
Pavitr tapped one of the microphones once, then a second time, causing the feedback to ring throughout the ginormous speakers set up around town hall.
"Sorry- I've never done anything like this before. And I don't have anything prepared to say..." Pav trails off, glancing at all of the cameras and eyes on him.
Mumbattan had just lost it's most beloved singer, who was well known to be dating Pavitr Prabhakar. It was an absolute bomb dropped on the poor city.
So right now, they needed someone to tell them it was gonna be okay. That, with time, everything would go back to normal. And they would rely on her boyfriend to tell them that.
But alas, Pavitr had also lost a piece of himself. He wanted to go home and cry, maybe even beat himself up for failing to save her.
The only reason he's here is because Gayatri and Inspector Singh expressly asked him to be. So he took a big breath before just...speaking his mind.
"I'll be honest. Y/N and I have been dating for 4 years, as most of you know. And in those 4 years, I found myself more than I had in my entire life before I knew her. I was lucky to know her on such a personal level, and it's...hard. Knowing she's gone. At times she would go on tour for months, but I knew she'd be back. Now...she's gone. Forever." Pavitr paused, sniffing in to stop his nose from running.
"Y/N was an amazing person. She was an inspiration to many, a light in the darkness to some, a friend to all, as well as a daughter to Mr.Singh, and sister to Gayatri Singh. And, at the end of her life, she was a hero.."
Pav thought for a moment. He shouldn't say the next part, he really shouldn't.
But he did.
"But she was also my girlfriend. And I hate that the world took her away from me so soon. As much as it pains me to say it, I can't lie. I hate that she had to be the hero that saved that boy. We all love heroes, and we're all sad when they pass away. And that sadness passes in a few weeks for most. But to me, Gayatri, and Inspector Singh, we can't just turn off the channel and pretend it didn't happen."
Pav knew he should've just stopped there, and everyone else did too.
But in a way he was talking to Y/N as well, hoping that his message would get to her no matter where she was.
"In the end, everyone loves heroes. Until they're the people close to them. Then it's a completely different story."
Pav knew he was condescending himself. He knew he wasn't making any sense. He saw poor Gayatri burst into tears less than 10 feet away from him.
But he had to keep going.
"I just wish Y/N could've been selfish for once in her life. Prioritized herself over a kid she didn't even know so she could stay with me. But she couldn't. It wasn't like her."
Pav took a deep breath, leaning closer into the microphone for his final word.
"And that's what I loved about her."

genuinely thank you so much for writing thtf. it's my favourite thing to read in the whole world for so many reasons. like other than where it's obviously devastating (in SUCH a good way), idk it just makes me so happy
I think it's the first wip i followed from start to finish and I have to say that part of 2022 was not the greatest but yk, every few days there'd be a new chapter. and it was great.
I fucking love Dorcas talking about "a butterfly in the palm of your hand" it's changed the way I think so much. like you would not expect this from a fanfic lmao but it's pretty much exactly what I needed to hear at the time. living just to live, even if it's complete shit, not caring about what they're leaving behind. ch 42 (i think) where all they're doing is just washing the dishes but it's so special and they're listening to dawn storm is so important to me I love it SO much. fucking amazing.
ngl I don't really think there's anything I don't like. every character feels so right - regulus in particular sticks out to me, like there's such a good balance between him doing pretty bad things because he's not a particularly "good person" but also not being a complete dick. also I would die for marlene mckinnon and the way you write her is just so fucking good. the way she is just so alive to make up for her shorter life is so beautiful to me. I could ramble on for a very long time about everything in this fic but I dont want this to get too long lol
the music you put on the chapters is also really good like I'm pretty sure the first time I read it I didn't listen the music and then I reread it with the music and it was like a whole different experience
yeah i would've sent this earlier (like maybe a year ago) but looks like I put it off for a really long time lol
also - really love where atwmd is going rn I'm so excited for more chapters, i love Sirius Black etc etc
ahh thank u this is so sweet! i love hearing that thtf resonated w people it definitely feels like the fic kinda took on its own life & became a little philosophical journey that i was not entirely expecting lol. i think writing a story where i knew my main characters were going 2 die the whole time really made me contemplate like. ok what do i actually want 2 say abt death, and by way of that what do i wanna say abt life? bc like. as someone who doesn't believe in an afterlife i didn't wanna write a story that says "well it's ok bc they can be happy in the afterlife" <3 bc like. that does not comfort me lol. & i also didn't wanna write a story that was like "it's ok bc there's gonna be a good future 4 others after them," bc i think life means something and matters even outside of futurity. i didn't wanna play into this narrative that u have 2 Do Something 2 make ur life meaningful by making sure u have an impact on the future, etc; i wanted 2 write abt life as meaningful outside of that. & i also specifically wanted 2 write abt life as something beautiful & meaningful even with the bad stuff mixed in, and even if death is abrupt and scary and painful and unwanted. like i purposely made both their deaths pretty brutal bc i personally find the idea of a "bad death" really scary! the idea of dying before ur ready, dying scared or alone or in pain or all three, etc...and i think part of why that's so scary is bc we place this big emphasis, again, on a linear timeline of life, where death is The End, and if The End is bad, then the story's a sad one. but death is just one moment in the sum total of billions of moments throughout your life; why should that bad cancel out all the good? why should a story be sad, just because the last page of it is sad? you can open the book to any page and find happiness, and love, and warmth, etc. & that's what i'm trying 2 say w "a story is not its end."
anyway. this got much longer than expected lol i love 2 ramble abt thtf but! again ty 4 the kind words glad u enjoyed the fic glad u enjoyed the music as well!! i love the playlist 4 that fic <3

dammit im going on a mental rant about storks again but this time im not letting it go to waste
(tw for blunt discussion of dark topics in the context of babies)
tulip is EIGHTEEN YEARS AND THREE DAYS OLD when the movie ends. she has THE REST OF HER ENTIRE ADULT LIFE to deal with the consequences of A SINGLE BIRD producing A MILLION HUMAN BABIES IN ONE DAY. which she enthusiastically takes joint credit for, because she has no idea that things could go wrong.
but let's backtrack a bit, junior could've been wrong. i don't know how many letters were in that case, i don't know how many babies were on the floor, i don't know how many postcards were on the bulletin board. let's just assume that he was right, for the sake of everything.
"but fable," you say, "there's a lot of people in the world, like a few billion which is a lot of millions. maybe a million babies is a perfectly normal amount of babies to materialize in a single day."
"About 385,000 babies are born each day according to the UN. That adds up to more than 140 million a year."
junior enabled the creation of almost 1.5 years worth of babies with a single "i did not think that through." THAT IS A BIG DEAL.
ESPECIALLY when you remember that this is a backup of EIGHTEEN YEARS worth of babies. for the million expecting and unexpecting parents, that's a lifechanging event they might not be ready for. the storks could be handing babies to people who are too old, too depressed, too abusive, too apathetic, or in any other mental and/or physical state that makes them unfit to care for a baby. oh yeah, or they could just be dead. hope the orphanages are ready for THAT can of worms.
"but fable," you say again, "what if this is a handmaid's tale thing and it's okay because they're behind on eighteen years worth of babies?"
the gardners explicitly establish that humans are doing just fine procreating without the storks and the machine. until that moment, earth's population was still naturally balanced.
and then there's the whole thing about the babies speedrunning the first three months of their lives, which for human babies is also a pretty big deal. (i forgot to research when babies start to laugh; the answer is 4-6 months)
are stork babies just as susceptible to sickness and all the stuff that makes the first stages of existence so perilous? it's a good thing stork babies are free (apparently) because if so, that's just a delivery of grief and depression. yaaaay.
on a lighter note, i do love how diamond destiny was handled. she's proof that the babies are created with the traits that are best for their family, even if it's not exactly what they thought they wanted. she doesn't get any special treatment for being a girl. she's not any more pure or innocent than any other baby, her ninja skills aren't a #baby girlboss moment, and the only physical characteristic symbolizing her gender is her pink hair. she only wears a diaper for the entire movie (except the future-vision), because girl babies dont need any more clothes than boy babies. not even a frilly dress or a cute hairclip.
i'll stop for now, but there's more where that came from 💖

I see in fiction a lot of aliens portrayed as bipedal and upright, much like humans. I wanna quickly complain about that while also explaining the insane rarity of upright bipedalism in nature. This post will be uncharacteristically long, but bear with me. Or don’t. That’s cool too.
So first of all, having 4-limbs is only really seen in the clade Tetrapoda, which includes all land vertebrates descended from our original 4-limbed ancestor. There may be a few exceptions, but most of not all 4-limbed creatures belong to Tetrapoda. So this condition is prevalent among one single group of vertebrates, which in turn are but a single group of the phylum Chordata, which is one of many phyla in the kingdom Animalia.
Now I’m exaggerating the rarity of 4-limbed creatures a bit, and it could be that 4 limbs is a common feature among land animals across the universe, but since 4 limbs are necessary for this form of bipedalism, I figured it was worth mentioning.
Second, many bipedal animals have existed in the past. The earliest known bipedal animal is a Permian bolosaurid called Eudibamus. Dinosaurs would later evolve this feature which became shared among all therapod dinosaurs, including modern birds. But this bipedalism was different, a more hunched over form which required a muscular tail to balance the center of mass over the legs.
Humans are bipedal to free up our hands for manipulation of our environment. It’s also useful for tool use, as an upright posture is perfect for spear throwing. But other intelligent animals don’t have this posture. Corvids are intelligent to use tools, and can use their beaks to handle objects. Elephants can use their trunks for all kinds of things. Humans are literally the only known species in the past half a billion years to evolve this stance.
Ok rant over.

The Izzy/Ed relationship dynamic is so juicy, you guys... Mary tells Stede, “we just can’t stop hurting each other,” and she’s right, but for Izzy and Ed it’s somehow dialed up to 11. Their relationship is like a fucked up form of mutualism where both parties are harmed. And I don’t think their relationship was always like that! I think it used to be healthier, and that they both still really care about each other. But at the point where we come into the story.... man...
It’s hard to know exactly what their dynamic was like before the show begins, but it’s clear their relationship had already started to sour. There’s a certain codependency to their relationship -- Ed provides the Blackbeard image and to maintain the respect of the crew, while Izzy... Well, Izzy has been handling Ed’s “mood management” prior to Stede coming onto the scene. (He’s terrible at it, but he’s trying lol) And Ed is *not* doing great at the start of the show -- he jumps to suicide ideation at an alarming rate. Meanwhile, Izzy’s doing the mental health equivalent of pouring water on a grease fire because he has no fucking idea what he’s doing. He wasn’t trained for this!!
But then Stede comes along and well... Besides the pure jealousy motive, I think part of why Izzy goes so completely off the rails is that Ed stops needing Izzy, but Izzy never stops needing Ed. I mean, we know what line convinced Izzy to stay when he first decided to leave, and it wasn’t, “You could be Blackbeard.” It was, “I need you here.”
And then, things gets worse! It’s just betrayal after betrayal from both of them. Izzy pushes and pushes and pushes at Ed until he snaps, and refuses to accept that maybe Ed *knows* what he wants and that Izzy does not in fact know what’s best for him. Ed, on the other hand, doesn’t keep his promise to kill Stede, and then, rather than continuing to provide Izzy with the intimacy that was reserved for him (after years of loyalty!), he instead gives it to Stede! So Izzy acts like a jilted spouse and makes everything 4 billion times worse because he wants what he wants, and he sure will do whatever it takes to get it.
And the betrayals don’t end there! Instead, they build up to Izzy’s betrayal of Ed when he sells out Stede to the Navy and Ed’s fun tactical decision to cut off Izzy’s toe and feed it to him (and no, Izzy doesn’t see that as a betrayal, but it is one! That’s a permanent harm that Ed did *intentionally*).
You can’t really balance this type of harm, and I don’t think the show is particularly interested in doing that – I mean, within the context of this show, how do you assess the impact of individual harms? How many points of betrayal for selling out your captain’s boyfriend to the Navy? How many points for cutting off your first mate’s toe?
What I’m particularly interested in, is how this show will go about untangling the Izzy/Ed relationship. I don’t think it will end with him painted as an irredeemable character -- I think the show’s writing is too kind for that, especially given what Stede will have to forgive Ed for (stranding most of his crew, kidnapping the rest, “killing” Lucius), and what Ed will need to forgive Stede for (absolutely just demolishing his heart, not fully *seeing* Ed and betraying the openness Ed offered him)
But I think getting to a point where Izzy is a full member of the crew is going to require a *lot* of unpacking of the relationship between Ed and Izzy because like. What they have is not sustainable for either of them.

Lost in translation
Geto Suguru x fem! reader ♡
contains-alcohol consumption, swearing, angst, 1,420 words
Tumblr media
“When are you leaving?”
“Tomorrow” he replied
“I’ll miss you”
The city line border was nowhere near as buildings covered the whole city Geto had noticed. Taking a plane to New York for a Business trip the last thing he’d expect is to fall in love. Plus, he already had a girlfriend; a cheating girlfriend. He knew it but didn’t bring it up because he didn’t want to go through the feeling of being alone.
As soon as he’d walked out of the Boarding area he had someone directing him to a limousine. He wasn’t any other Fells in a crowd, he’d made quite a name for himself back in Japan but he was in the city that never sleeps as they say.
On his first day of being in the city, he was signed back to back on photo shoots. Not even a brink of sleep rested in him so as he clicked for the elevator he never thought someone else would be in there at the brink of dawn. Stepping into the elevator he quietly listened to the music of his headphones toll a Rap was felt on his shoulder.
“I love the smiths” you smiled
taking off his headphones, “sorry?”
“I Said I love the smiths” you then gestured to his headphones “you have good taste in music”
“You like the smiths?” He asked with a gentle smile on his lips. Nodding a chuckle escaped your lips, “Yeah I’d say we go drinking to great music taste together but it's almost 4 am”
A playful smile spread across his lips, “well how about you give me your number, and then we’ll hold it off for another time?”. Smiling you gave him your number and offered him a wave goodbye at your stop of the elevator. You were so pretty and had the music taste as him?! He couldn't wait to see you again.
And he did see you sooner than expected. Sure enough, the next day when he went to the bar of his hotel to take a shot to ease his nerves about being in such a big city, there you were tapping him on the shoulder yet again.
“Hey stranger”
An amused chuckle escaped his lips, “Hello to you to stranger funny seeing you here in the hotel I’m staying ats bar sounds Kind of stalker-ish” he laughed
Putting your hands up in mock surrender you also laughed, “I’m no stalker just hotels alcohol taste better than the ones they sell in-store, and as I said last time I could buy you a drink. Unless you don’t want one”
Putting a hand on his chin Geto pretended to think till he removed his hand away. “Eh, why not”. Smiling with your pearly whites you called the bartender and ordered two shots who was quick to pour them into the small glass. Both picking up your glasses you smirked at the other before downing the drink.
The strong liquid burned as it went down. The feeling didn’t stop you both from drinking more. Your vision became fuzzy but tolerable and your body felt light. Glancing over to the man you were hit with a fit of laughs as he did drunk impressions of celebrities. “Hey hey” you started trying to down back the laughs, “whats even your name”
“Geto Suguru”
“Cool suga I'm Y/N L/N how do you feel about going to the karaoke joint down the street” you didn't even know what you were saying wird’s just plopped into sentences but you didn’t care you were with the person you’d only meet in a one in a billion chances. Might as well make the most of the night.
The man before you just nodded, slapping a wad of cash on the table, and walked over to you placing a hand around your shoulder to maintain both of your's balance. The walk to the karaoke place wasn’t far and filled with laughter before you both went into the private booth.
“Hmm what song we're thinking? You know any American songs?” You asked standing up by the jukebox
“Only a little but my favorite is that one song uh” he pondered trying to remember it
“New York by Alicia keys??”
“Yes, that's it!” He spoke nodding approvingly
A giggle escaped your lips at the tourist. How cliche. Pressing the song on the jukebox the lyrics projected onto a tv above it. With a hand holding the mic you brought your free hand out to him to pull him up from the couch. Once he took a hold of the other mic the music filled the small room.
Singing the song you both tried to stay on top of the lyrics without laughing about how bad you both sounded. Finding the words to sing the last verse you both crashed onto the couch with a sigh. Your legs layed beside you as you leaned your head on his shoulder. Turning his body to you he wore a smile. Just then, you leaned in pecking his lips but quickly backed up when you realized what you had done.
“Oh my gosh I’m sorry”
Suddenly he leaned back into the kiss taking you by surprise. Leaning into the kiss Getos hands reached into your hair tangling them into it deepening the kiss. Geto caught himself groaning into the kiss as your tongues fought for dominance. Just then you pulled away and placed a hand on his toned chest, “I wanna keep going but m’ got a headache” you said mumbling through closed eyes.
Chuckling he put a hand on your back and one under your legs and lifted you up. Wrapping your arms around his neck your head pressed into his chest. Walking out of the karoke bar he crossed the street and walked up to his hotel room. On the walk he’d try to wake you up asking if he could send you on a Uber to your house but you continued to lye there asleep.
Laying your unconscious form on the bed Geto changed into a shirt and slipped in the other side of the bed making sure to give you some space while a soft smile played along his features.
꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦
The morning light peered on your face making you stir a bit in your sleep. Slightly opening your eyes you were faced with a big window peering down at the city streets. Turning your body around in the bed you came face to face with the man you had been goofing off with last night. “Hey” you whispered
“Hello gorgeous” he smiled
Running a finger down the bride of his nose than down to his lips you giggled, “you got some soft lips”
“Let’s test that theory” he than pressed his lips onto yours. After seeing this ‘relationship’ some could say you’re both getting into it too fast but it just felt right. Smiling into the kiss it seemed as if all your problems went away while with him. You were clueless, living in the moment type of person and people around you sensed that.
And as the days pasted on you enjoyed every second with the man. Once you got off work you’d shoot him a text asking him if he wanted to meet up. Although here and there you’d realize this happiness was only temporary leading you both to have your serious conversations.
Laying in bed you started, “does it get easier?”
“No” he paused, “yes”
“I tried being a writer but I hate what I write. I’d go spend time with my niece’s but I still end up back at step one”
Placing a kiss on your jaw he kept his eye contact with you, “the more you know who you are and what you want the less you let things upset you”
You were both too lonely people per say. One of you had the fear of being alone while the other couldn’t grip the feeling of happiness.
After a long day of fun at an arcade the fun began to winde down as you finally thought to ask
“When are you leaving”
Sucking in a breath he replied, “tomorrow”
“I’ll miss you” said you pulling him into a hug. Your chin on his shoulder with tears on your waterline threatening to fall down your face.
In the end if you could do it all over you wouldn’t. It was a relationship just to escape from all in the world. In a perfect world one would pick faith over riches.

Which is your favorite act of each circus skill Cirque du Soleil has ever included? Favorite trapeze act, favorite silks act, dance, icarian games, miscellaneous, etc.
Sweet you menace. You knew this would both delight me and derail my day. I am powerless but to respond.
(Disclaimer that categorizing and even identifying all circus acts is both impossible and a credit to the medium itself, this is neither a comprehensive list of acts nor a comprehensive list of my favorites, etc. etc.)
Adagio/acro/hand to hand - Adagio Quatuor, Luzia
Sensual, emotional, graceful expression of conflict, perfect set, perfect song, perfect voice. Check out 3:50-4:13 for what I personally think is the best moment in the entire show. Can't explain it. It just gives me chills every time.
Aerial hoop - Cerceaux, O
There is a lot of great lyra acts in Cirque, some with markedly stronger overall choreography and difficulty level, but this song in this setting, when the brides come in... this one is unmatched.
Aerial straps - Tlaloc, Luzia
Cirque is utterly oversaturated with aerial straps acts. But this one is real magic.
(like a billion more beneath the cut)
Balance - Rola bola, Kurios
How is there no decent video on hand?? Anyway this act is a heart attack no matter how many times you see it.
Banquine - Banquine, Quidam
You already know there's no other. 1:44 if you want goosebumps. The ghost twins are handled with such tender delicacy, and yet they're both totally hollow and interchangeable. Absolutely incredible.
Bars of any kind (Russian, uneven, tournik, high, etc.) - Uneven bars, Amaluna
Very nearly tournik here, but I just love the Amazons so much and feel like this entire show was shafted so I'm sticking with it.
Bungee - Bungees, Zed
There is basically no linkable footage of this act anywhere but it wins because of the set and song. And they're galaxies!!!
Contortion - Contortion, Kurios
Wish I could find decent footage of it onstage because it looks so cool with its proper base and setting. But I just love how energetic this act is, and the skill level is nuts.
Cradle (Russian, aerial, other, etc.) - Bateau, O
Aerial cradle meets parallel bars meets sheer genius.
Dance - Dance Interlude, La Nouba
This was very nearly Dei Ex Machina from Mystere because I'm obsessed with the new Monarch bird, but. There's a chance nothing else in the world matters besides this song.
Diabolo - Diabolo, Kooza
Who's doing it higher, faster, and better than this tbh. Plus his costume is just adorable.
Fire - Fire Knife Dance, Alegria IANL
This artist in particular takes the cake. You can feel his passion and joy. A perfect match for this act and show.
Flying trapeze - Flying trapeze, Mystere
It's categorically the best flying act in the entire world. Really nothing more to it. I've trained with a few people in the act too, so it has a very special place in my heart. 1:33 for an uprise that gives me a heart attack every. fucking. time.
Handbalancing - Handbalancing on canes, Varekai
This act lends itself very beautifully to different moods. I'm particularly fond of this chilly interpretation - La Promise is so mature here, so in control of herself and her surroundings.
Interlude - Dans L'Air, Quidam
Probably guessable. I never shut up about this one. Favorite moment in all of my Cirque experience. There is nothing like those lights coming up bright and hot as the red curtains stretch out, not before not since.
Juggling - Juggling, Amaluna
Love Cali, love Viktor Kee. No one on earth moves like him.
Non-juggling manipulation - Batons, Ka
Misc. aerial - Cloud swing, Quidam
Favorite Cirque act of all time. All time ever. I don't imagine anyone is clicking through all of these but if anyone chose just one, I'd want it to be this. The women with their ropes. Boum Boum trapped beneath the net. The bassist. The fact that Cirque hasn't touched this act once since it was retired in Quidam. Everything about it is perfection.
Misc. other things that swing - Swiss rings, Volta
I'll never forget seeing this live. A real shining jewel in a show that never got to become what it could have been.
Non-juggling manipulation (hoops, batons, ribbons, etc.) - Batons, Ka
Duhhhhh 😁
Russian swing - Russian swing, O
What really makes this act are the tiny interactions between artists. Everyone has a story and a reason to celebrate. The Russian swing itself becomes almost secondary to the setting it creates. Perfect example of a successful ensemble act.
Silks - Aerial contortion in silks, Quidam
Again, are there any others? This act is simply vicious.
Static trapeze - Triple trapeze, Varekai
Again, duhhh 😁. I wanted to be one of them so badly when I was younger.
Teeterboard - Korean plank, Mystere
Kind of a cheat because it's also powertrack but come on this act rules.
Trampoline (wall, power track, etc.) - Powertrack, La Nouba
Utterly devastating in its effectiveness. I truly do not care that today's powertrack acts are a million times more complex or high in skill level. This is precision and simplicity at its finest, and every dash of characterization shows the magic crammed into every moment of La Nouba. So many modern shows have never and could never in their wildest dreams. Lose my shit at 6:50.
Unicycle - Unicycles, Drawn To Life
No real footage because Disney is the worst. I don't even like unicycles and I adored this act.
Wheel (cyr, German, crossed, etc.) - Roue cyr, Corteo
Yet again it's that act/song combo that does me in. The precision this act demands! The bizarre darkness of the entire thing! I'm just obsessed.
Wheel of death - Wheel of death, Kooza
No one else should even try tbh. Even Ka can't match the energy, and the intimacy of the big top takes this act to the absolute maximum.
Wire - Tightwire, Amaluna
I don't really care for wire acts too much but I really liked this one! I was bummed when it was removed. It lent shape to the world in a really nice way.

i would try, i probably could it just wouldn't be a very long time, even longer than usual. my hand cramps a LOT when i write (which is a new thing idk why) but my stories are still important :D
7 : what is your deepest joy about writing?
i have a few actually! honestly, starting with the most basic joy, it's really rewarding to remind myself that i have the ability to make a world. i can create cool versions of people i absolutely adore and make totally new people too! and i often forget that if i try hard enough i can make people cry with my writing or make one joke have people go feral,,,
another one is the reminder that god damn. almost eight billion people and i had this idea. i have complete freedom over this. i have claimed the coolest idea EVER out of almost eight billion people.
and i guess just the fact that i can write what people want me to write or what people enjoy. i love taking input from others because i know it'll make one person enjoy something! little details that i remember about someone? throw it into a fic and hope they see it and smile
8 : if you had to write an entire story without either action or dialogue, which would you choose and how would it go?
bye bye fucking dialogue. i would love to write something wordless and see how it works out, it just sounds awesome tbh, very moody. one of my non g/t wips is like that for a lot of it and it's just really calm to write! i don't have to worry about balancing things or making accurate dialogue, it's just one person in the universe and the vibe of that can easily get through to me. and in my experience, it'll go pretty good!
13 : what is a subject matter that is incredibly difficult for you write about? what is easy?
ehhh i really hate writing combat or anything fast paced. moving scenes along and changing settings has never been a strong suit of mine imo,,,, like it always feels either really rushed or really choppy imo
and i think mental health is pretty easy for me to write. like that hazy, unhappy mind. it's extremely slow and easy to make long and extravagant descriptions with,,,,
14 : do you lend your books to people? are people scared to borrow books from you? do you know exactly where all your “lost” books are and which specific friend from school you haven’t seen in twelve years still possesses them? will you ever get them back?
i don't have a large collection of books. i'm never really immersed into actually reading a book which i know is awful as a writer and honestly just a terrible attribute of mine but i'm not a big reader. fanfic tho is my bitch, and in which case i have no experience with any of this :'D
16 : what’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever used as a bookmark?
a piece of lined paper i found in the book, so essentially someone else's makeshift bookmark
i am respectfully gonna skip 17 & 18 because i don't have the energy to really explain any of that and all of my wips are so like not worthy of those questions. the best ur gonna get is the minutiae of tiny workers i'll post tomorrow lmao
19 : tell me a story about your writing journey. when did you start? why did you start? were there bumps along the way? where are you now and where are you going?
it's nothing too dramatic, i started when i was in third grade and wrote a nine page story by hand and my teacher mentioned i was a strong writer for my age. i wrote all the time in school, picked up fanfic in like early 2019 (which also conveniently was my first g/t writing)
and uhh i started just because the feeling of writing was really rewarding and freeing. i loved roleplaying on roblox all the time too i would love making long descriptions of things n such :DD
i think i'm on a good track, i have 42 full-fledged wips that i have some ideas for, 3 book ideas and a cool and supportive community to share my growth with :]
21 : could you ever quit writing? do you ever wish you could? why or why not?
honestly, no, i don't think i ever could. even if i change my mind about pursuing it as a career i could never stop it being my hobby. it's so freeing and a great way to unwind, i love the thought of writing all of my life and the thought of what my writing will be like in a few years if i'm writing like this now (which is such an improvement from 6 months ago, let me say. and yeah i'm complimenting my work for once)
i never do wish i could, because i know that regardless of if i take a break or not i'm never going to completely abandon it. i have ideas that i'm too in to be out of,,,
22 : how organized are you with your writing? describe to me your organization method, if it exists. what tools do you use? notebooks? binders? apps? the cloud?
it depends on my wips, but for the sake of convenience i'll just go off of my aus on here: it is so messy. there is no organization, and if it is there are so many wips of my organization ideas, it's so sad. i have tried so many different ways to organize my thoughts because doing lists and making things look neat and tidy is my favorite, but on the opposite end i get bored countlessly listing out information i already know, so uhh yeah no organization. occasionally i'll jot down like "make sure to add this!" in my notes app or at the end of wtv im working on
24 : how much prep work do you put into your stories? what does that look like for you? do you enjoy this part or do you just want to get on with it?
i love the thought of prep work, hate actually doing it. i go in head first, usually with a mental map of whatever i want to happen. a lot of the time though i let the story write itself cuz i'm lazy like that :'D
i dislike trying to actually sit myself down to make things all laid out and ready to be written cause..........gagghghhsadskdj
29 : where do you draw your inspiration? dhat do you do when the inspiration well runs dry?
it depends! some of my ideas are directly from a movie or show i watch, usually taking the idea of an "au" not from the fandom but from that show specifically if that makes sense,, other times my head'll give me some three am ideas or random ideas.
i also really like picking a color and making an inspiration board off of it! it gives me some cool ideas cause imagery can tell a big story sometimes imo
when the well is try i usually either work on other stuff or just wait for it to rain again so there's water to run off of.
31 : write a short love letter to your readers.
idk about a love letter but honestly y'all are literally so cool. i know my community isn't remotely close to any big publishers' fanbases but damn it feels so overwhelming in the best way possible to get showered with love by the people i can easily recognize whenever i post something! to have over 100 notes on some of my fics and know that every like on my work is an individual person is just baffling. to know i have almost 200 followers in my corner, even if some of them are bots or following me for other content, it's fucking amazing. sweet comments and questions about my work is just fucking exhilarating!! it's so motivating to hear "write more of this" because damn. demanding. people demand i write more. it's SO COOL. joining social media was probably the worst decision i've ever made but tumblr has singlehandedly fixed every doubt i've had about being on the internet :) <3
32 : what is a line from a poem/novel/fanfic etc that you return to from time and time again? how did you find it? what does it mean to you?
ee passerine & rooftops spoilersss down below :]
i will do fanfic bc. yeah wtv. anyway there are a few, i think that if i'm being actually serious and not doing joke ones, i absolutely love the ending off passerine, it's so perfect. i am tearing up thinking abt it ngl which sounds dumb but damn. "he had a life before this, a mother, a father, a home, sisters and brothers, but what he had now was alright too. he stood alone in his bedroom mirror, combing his hair back from his face to braid it for the day, tucking it behind an ear where a sapphire earing hung, catching sunlight. he paused when he saw it, leaning in close to make sure it wasn't a trick of the light, or the lingering traces of a dream. he blinked once, twice, his mortal heart caught in his throat. there, nestled amongst the pink strands, delicate as a bird's wing, was a single, grey hair. if he listened closely, he could hear his brother coming down the hallway, looking for him. but this moment was his alone, half-sobbing, half-laughing, he fell against his chair and closed his eyes against the sudden sting of tears. he could see in his mind, a field of flowers under an open sky, a place for waiting, where all the finished stories went. where he too would go someday. a knock came at his door, and technoblade began to smile." LIKE DUDE. I AM SUCH A SUCKER FOR ENDINGS TO STORIES. it's so dramatic and so domesicated and passerine is such a short story all in all but it's so perfectly written and captures relationships so well. it shows technoblade's acceptance of death so well, and although he'd been wanting of death for a while it still kind of shows how he is eager to pursue the rest of a mortal life.
also from passerine i like "this is what it feels," someone gasped, "to lose everything" I LOVE IT. tommy is their everything and losing him made the story turn so dull,, it went from silver to grey easily. love it.
ALSO. FUCKING ROOFTOPS. it is such an old fic, but it's the second fic i've ever read in the fandom. “youuu aren’t real. nope! noo, no you aren’t. youu’re not reeaal, you'ree inn my head. my head! geoorge is in my head again!” it's just so sad. i love it. the atmosphere of this scene despite it being out of context here is still just so perfect. the vibes of rooftops have never left my head.
and also this absolutely doesn't count but there's a comment on rooftops that said "this is the same story where they went camping" and i have never gone a day without thinking about that LMAO
33 : do you practice any other art besides writing? does that art ever tie into your writing, or is it entirely separate?
hghghhhhh not really, no other art. cooking and baking sometimes but i wouldn't call my skill level art LMAO
but it did start a gbbo au and has helped a lot with terminology and stuff!!
34 : thoughts on the oxford comma, go:
i love it in practice but the second i get reminded to use it i go bonkers and start hitting things
37 : if you were to be remembered only by the words you’ve put on the page, what would future historians think of you?
they would think i am weird as hell bro i keep writing about these people SWALLOWING EACH OTHER ALIVE 😭😭😭
i wanted to do a real response to that but a. its 3 am and b. this was funnier <3
39 : what keeps you writing when you feel like giving up?
the atmosphere of the thing i am writing. i can be in the most unmotivated mood but the second i start thinking about how a scene or an au feels i am immediately lightened up and want to write it!
god damn it only took about half an hour but i did it!! thanks for these questions, even if they took like 2 weeks to finish and cut me short of what i wanted to do tonight /lh/nmay

MS: Is The Black Horse Of Famine Getting Ready To Ride Too?; COGwriter: The ride of the 3rd horseman may already have begun!
COGwriter
Michael Snyder posted the following:
Is The Black Horse Of Famine Getting Ready To Ride Too?
A “perfect storm” of factors has created a global food crisis that just continues to intensify.  While you are enjoying a warm dinner tonight, millions of parents on the other side of the globe will have nothing to give to their children.  The world simply is not producing enough food to feed everyone, but I am entirely convinced that things are going to get dramatically worse by the end of this decade.  … I discussed the red horse of war.  I believe that we are in the early stages of World War III, and during the years ahead we will see death and destruction on an unprecedented scale.  Needless to say, conflict of that magnitude would greatly disrupt global food production and global supply chains, and as a result we would experience horrifying famines all over the planet.
The scenario that I just described is exactly what we see in the Book of Revelation.
In Revelation chapter 6, the black horse of famine immediately follows the red horse of war…
4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.
5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
Right now, we are literally teetering on the brink of such a disaster.
According to the UN’s World Food Program, we are dealing with “a hunger crisis of unprecedented proportions” right now…
Last year, more than 3 billion people could not afford to eat a healthy diet…
Worldwide, more than 3.1 billion people could not afford a healthy diet, according to the report. That’s 42% of the world’s population, and a significant increase over pre-COVID levels.
Why aren’t we hearing more about this?
Just because our families aren’t facing severe hunger yet does not mean that we shouldn’t be paying attention. …
Our world is rapidly approaching a time of unparalleled chaos, and most of the population is completely and utterly unprepared for it.
If you plan to get prepared, now is the time. … the black horse of famine … 03/14/24 https://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/is-the-black-horse-of-famine-getting-ready-to-ride-too/
With food price inflation and billions hungry, the ride of the 3rd horseman may already have begun!
In addition to many parts of Africa, Asia, Haiti and Cuba have been suffering from hunger and severe food shortages:
Almost half of Haiti’s people are struggling to feed themselves as gang violence spreads across the country, with several areas close to famine, international organizations said …
Inflation and poor harvests have also helped push Haiti to its worst levels of food insecurity on record, they said. https://www.reuters.com/world/haiti-gang-wars-push-hunger-worst-levels-record-reports-say-2024-03-22/
Hundreds of protesters have taken to the streets in Cuba in recent days, furious over the lack of food and electricity. With chants of “hunger” and “we want food,” the demonstrations have centered in Santiago de Cuba, the country’s second-biggest city, and surrounding towns in the southeastern area of the island. https://www.npr.org/2024/03/20/1239711488/cuba-protests-food-shortage-blackouts-oil
Jesus said:
7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.  (Matthew 24:7-8)
History, as well of the words of Jesus, tends to show that food shortages come after wars, and the third horseman comes after the horseman representing war.
Notice that this third horseman results in scarcity, inflation, and famine. Revelation 6:5-6 indicates that there will be food, but that it will be quite expensive (food price inflation).
5 When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. 6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.” (Revelation 6:5-6)
We already have food price inflation. And that was before the impact of the Russian- Ukrainian conflict.
The old Worldwide Church of God published the following:
The black horseman’s future ride will reduce the proud faces of white America, Europe, and the British Common wealth into the blackened skin of starvation such as now afflicts the vast majority of mankind. (Alexander G. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Ambassador College Press, Pasadena (CA), 1973, p. 31)
Notice some of the penalties for disobedience recorded in the 26th chapter of Leviticus: “If after all this you have not learnt discipline but still defy me, I in turn will defy you and scourge you seven times over for your sins. I will bring war in vengeance upon you … you shall be herded into your cities, I will send pestilence among you, and you shall be given over to the enemy. I will cut short your daily bread until ten women can bake your bread in a single oven; they shall dole it out by weight [see Revelation 6:5-6], and though you eat, you shall not be satisfied. If in spite of this you do not listen to me and still defy me, I will defy you in anger, and I myself will punish you seven times over for your sins. Instead of meat you shall eat your sons and daughters” (Lev. 26:23-28, The New English Bible). Other passages warn of famine-producing upsets in weather (Amos 4:7, Deut. 28:24); ruined harvests (Ezek. 5:16, Deut. 28:17); blighted crops (Amos 4:9); harmful insect pests (Deut. 28:39, 42); and nonproductive soil (Deut. 28:23). (4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse – The Black Horse – Famine. WCG booklet, 1976)
And while the northern, Babylonian, European Beast power will prosper for a short while, it too will ultimately succumb to famine according to Revelation 18:2,8:
2 Babylon…8 her plagues will come in one day–death and mourning and famine…
We are starting to see more reports of food shortages and the potential for food inflation–and even Europe has concerns.
Here is something from the old Worldwide Church of God:
The black horseman’s future ride will reduce the proud faces of white America, Europe, and the British Common wealth into the blackened skin of starvation such as now afflicts the vast majority of mankind. (Alexander G. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Ambassador College Press, Pasadena (CA), 1973, p. 31)
FEEDING THE BLACK HORSE OF FAMINE
Centuries ago the greatest prophet, forecaster, and newscaster who ever lived described in vivid detail the most climactic period in all of man’s existence. The prophet, Jesus Christ, was referring to events immediately preceding the end or consummation of this present era of human history.
His answer came in response to His disciples’ question: “Tell us, when will this be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the close of the age?” (Matt. 24:3.)
Jesus spoke of several major events that would signal the beginning of this troubled period. After false prophets and wars came a third significant indicator: “… and there will be famines” (Matt. 24:7).
Some 60 years later, Christ further elaborated on this description when He gave the apostle John the prophecies concerning the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse in the sixth chapter of the ‘book of Revelation. Again the same basic sequence of events is described. Following the white horse representing false Christs and the red horse of war comes the black horse of famine: “And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine” (Rev. 6:5-6, KJV).
Unprecedented Famine
There have always been famines, but there have never been famines the likes of which the world is currently experiencing. Usually famines of the past came in conjunction with droughts, wars, and other natural or man-made disturbances. They were cyclical in nature. Today worldwide famine is built into the structure of world society. Famine is now a way of life for millions of people. Weather fluctuations, wars and crop failures only serve to exacerbate existing conditions.
Today’s famines also differ in both nature and size from those of the past. Never before did multiple hundreds of millions of people suffer from hunger and malnutrition at any given period in history as they do today. As Paul and Arthur Simon wrote in The Politics of World Hunger: “The population explosion has produced stress and deprivation on a scale without precedent, as well as a momentum of growth that boggles the mind” (p. 51).
So Jesus Christ was not merely guessing about future famines. He was describing an age of human existence that was unique from all others in which widespread famine was only one of many interrelated events. In the 24th chapter of Matthew, He made this clear when He said: “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be” (verse 21).
The prophet Jeremiah describes this tumultuous age as follows: “Alas! that day is so great there is none like it; it is a time of distress for Jacob …” (Jer. 30:7).
Daniel likewise wrote: “And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never has been since there was a nation till that time” (Dan. 12:1).
Today, modern-day prophets have finally caught up with the patriarchs of old. Notice what Robert McNamara says about this era of world history: “We have to see the population problem as part … of a much wider social and political crisis that grows deeper with each decade and threatens to round off this century with years of unrest and turbulence, a ‘time of troubles’ [emphasis ours] during which the forces of historical change threaten our frail twentieth century society with disintegration.”
Also, Georg Borgstrom states: “As a human race we are heading for Supreme Disaster, and the great challenge to our generation is to avert this calamity. It has to be done in this crucial century, or mankind may well deprive itself of both its future and its history.”
And worldwide famine, fueled by an exploding population and future international conflicts, will undoubtedly be a key catalyst in this rapidly deteriorating chain of events.
Old Testament Warnings
Christ, who was the Logos or Spokesman of the Old Testament (see I Cor. 10:4, John 1:1), also gave national warnings concerning famine through many of the prophets of old. In these passages, famine, along with the 2nd and 4th horsemen, war and pestilence, are shown to be the ultimate result of false religion (the first horseman) and flagrant disobedience of God’s commandments.
Israel of old didn’t heed these warnings and suffered the consequences. Today many of the modern nations of the world, including the United States and Britain, are following in the footsteps of the ancient Israelites and are beginning to pay the same penalties as their predecessors.
The Bitter Harvest of Disobedience
And as men continue to flagrantly disregard the laws of their Creator, such conditions will continue to be aggravated. Jesus Christ went on to warn of similar calamities in the future. In the book of Revelation, He depicts an earth whose entire food producing ecosystem will be in jeopardy. …
Perhaps lack of food or resources resulting from these global catastrophes explains why a massive army of 200 million men decides to march on the Middle East in the 16th chapter of Revelation. In any event, Jesus Christ went on to show that unless He personally intervened in the affairs of men during this tumultuous time period, all life would be erased from off the face of the earth (Matt. 24:22).
A Global Surplus of Food
Christ’s intervention will set off a chain of events that will finally bring a halt to the continuous rounds of famine and hunger the human race has experienced down through history. Satan the Devil will be put away (Rev. 20:1-2), and with him will go the centuries—old system of greed and exploitation that has left many a broken, hungry, and destitute person in its wake. The “dispossessed masses” will become a thing of the past as every individual will have a chance to own agriculturally productive real estate (Micah 4:4). Farming methods will be overhauled until lush crops are considered commonplace (Isa. 32:15), and one harvest follows hard on the heels of the previous one (Amos 9:13-14).
The earth’s arable land mass will be greatly expanded as mountains are lowered (Isa. 40:4) and the sands of the deserts begin an unprecedented retreat (Isa. 35:1, 7). Only then will the age-old problem of famine finally be put to rest. (4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse – The Black Horse – Famine. WCG booklet, 1976)
We have already seen food price inflation.

3rd Horseman of the Apocalypse and Food
There are reports about food price inflation around the world. While it is worsening in many areas, some believe it will improve in 2023. Instead, could prices continue to rise in 2023 and get much worse in 2024 and thereafter? What are the causes of food price inflation? Is there any connection between weather, government policies, fertilizer prices, energy costs, economic sanctions and food price inflation? What are we seeing in reports from the United Kingdom, Hungary, and South Africa? What about impacts from Russia’s ‘special military operation’ into Ukraine? Could EU and/or USA policies be effecting any of this? Is the ‘black horse’ the one associated with famine, food shortages, and food price inflation in the Book of Revelation? Are there any physical lessons we can learn from ants according to the Book of Proverbs? What are some spiritual steps we should take according to Jesus? Dr. Thiel and Steve Dupuie address these matters and more.

Remember that Jesus said:
34 “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 35 For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:34-36)
Do not be part of those who will not be ready.

How Much Should You Spend on Vacation?
Recently we’ve been planning a spring break trip and looking ahead to possibly traveling a bit in the summer. As we’ve thought about possible destinations, trip lengths, activities, and accommodations, the question of budget keeps naturally arising.  What’s a responsible amount to spend on travel and vacation, and what isn’t? Is there a rule of thumb to employ in setting a budget for your trips? Some financial experts recommend this one: spend 5-10% of your net income on vacations. If you’re in debt, your budget should be closer to the 5% mark; if you’re not, it can be closer to the 10% end of the range.  So, for example, if your net income is $80k a year, then you could reasonably spend $4-8k a year on vacations.  There are, of course, many nuances in one’s financial and life circumstances that will affect this number, but it offers a pretty useful guideline. In addition to employing this rule of thumb, you should think through other factors as you plan the budget for your vacations: Plan out your whole year. The 5-10% of income number is for the whole calendar year. So when thinking about your vacation budget, you want to not only be thinking about your most immediate trip, but what other trips you want to take over the course of the year, so you know how much money you can allocate to each. If you’re going to be spending a huge chunk of change on a Disney trip with your kids in the spring, then you may need to settle for just going camping in the summer. Consider the season of life you’re in. If you’ve got little kids still in diapers, you may want to spend less of your income on vacations and do lower-key, closer-to-home trips; no matter how cool of a place you go, trips with small children just aren’t that fun. Save some money now for taking higher-quality trips when the kids are older. If your kids are in high school, and you want to make the most of the time you have left with them before they leave home, you could justify spending more on vacations.   Never go into debt to purchase a vacation. Financial experts agree that you shouldn’t put a vacation on your credit card. More and more people are doing that as inflation cuts into their income, and the nation’s credit card balance recently reached a record high. But the APR on credit cards has also reached an all-time high, and putting your trip on a credit card can cost you way more in the long run once that interest starts accruing.  If you can’t pay for a vacation in cash right now, start putting a monthly amount in a special savings account dedicated to that purpose; once you’ve got the funds in hand, then book the trip.  Beware of luxury creep . . . Remember that it’s much easier to go up in the luxury level of a vacation than it is to come back down. That is, right now, you feel a 2-star hotel is perfectly amenable. However, once you stay at a 4-star property, a 2-star hotel will seem like an unacceptable comedown. Upgrade to an Economy Plus seat on the plane, and Basic Economy, which once felt adequate, now feels more cramped.  Of course, there’s nothing wrong with the occasional out-of-the-ordinary splurge, and dabbling in premium options won’t necessarily ruin you for budget fare down the line. But when you book your trip, you may want to choose options that will be sustainable, not just in terms of your immediate trip, but in the long run.  . . . and entitlement creep. It’s easy to come up with reasons to justify spending big on a vacation. Your job is grinding. You’ve been real stressed. You feel like you deserve a trip. You need it. Everyone does need breaks and downtime. But you can take these with cheap staycations as well as exotic trips. Being able to jet off to the beach is a very recent development in human history. Billions have lived and died without ever leaving their hometown or village. Nice trips are a meaningful luxury, but in the grand scheme of things, they’re still a luxury. Don’t get caught up with keeping up with the Joneses. Since travel photos make up a disproportionate… http://dlvr.it/T3msgp

People today are living beyond their means
Tumblr media
From August 2nd on, people will consume more natural resources than the earth can actually provide in a whole year.
People overexploit nature - and therefore live on credit from today. Some things could be changed quite easily, say environmental and climate protectionists.
Today, Wednesday 2/8, people have used up the ecological resources that are actually available for the entire year on earth. According to the calculations of the American environmental organisation Global Footprint Network[1], August 2nd is Earth Overshoot Day this year. If everyone lived as lavishly as people in Germany, the day would have been May 4th.[2]
At first glance, it looks like progress because last year's Earth Overshoot Day was July 28th. It looks like people will have used fewer resources in 2023 than they did in 2022. However, according to Amanda Diep, spokeswoman for the Global Footprint Network, appearances can be deceiving. Rather, all data would be updated every year with the latest data collections and methods in order to be able to draw comparisons. According to this, the Earth Overshoot Day in 2022 was not July 28th, but rather August 1st.
Only one day has been won
"The trend is flat," said Diep, and has been for around ten years. In 2023 only one day was won. “How much of this is due to a drop in economic activity (because of Corona) or to decarbonisation efforts is hard to say.” Decarbonization means switching from fossil fuels to carbon-free and renewable energy sources.
On the one hand, the organisation calculates what nature can produce and absorb without losses in a year. This includes raw materials, drinking water and food, man-made waste and CO2 emissions. It compares this to what people consume with their way of life and economic activity. It sets the day when all of the year's resources are used up. Much of this is due to greenhouse gas emissions.
In order to live in balance with nature and reduce greenhouse gases as recommended by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)[3], the Earth Overshoot Day would have to be pushed back by 19 days every year for the next seven years, Diep said. According to Diep, if it were possible to halve food waste worldwide, 13 days would be gained.
Plea for traveling by train
"For more than 50 years, the earth's natural resources have been overexploited every year," said Christoph Bals, political director of the environmental and development organisation Germanwatch[4]. Depending on the route, traveling by train can be up to 28 times more climate-friendly than flying, said Jacob Rohm, spokesman for climate-friendly mobility at Germanwatch.
“Abolishing the unfair tax exemptions for air traffic would already flush four billion euros into the federal budget every year. This could massively expand the rail network and offers in Europe.”
A study by Ohio State University[5] shows that only 6 percent of 178 countries are environmentally sustainable by providing their citizens with adequate food, energy and water without exceeding natural capacities. The researchers looked at water consumption and CO2 absorption, for example in forests.
The study found that many countries emit far more carbon than their ecosystems can handle. Nevertheless, the researchers see potential for combating environmental risks through renewable energies, plant-based nutrition and a sustainable circular economy.

[1] August 2nd marks this year’s Earth Overshoot Day, according to the latest National Footprint and Biocapacity Accounts. They now track countries’ performance up to 2022, reducing reporting lag by three years. However, Earth Overshoot Day’s apparent delay by five days compared to last year’s isn’t all good news, as genuine advancements amount to less than one day. The remaining four days are owed to integrating improved datasets into the accounts’ new edition. Independently maintained and enhanced by FoDaFo and York University, the National Footprint and Biocapacity Accounts provide robust, transparent results. For every edition, results, including the annual dates of Earth Overshoot Day, are recalculated back to 1961, ensuring consistency across time and countries. https://www.overshootday.org/newsroom/press-release-june-2023-english/

[3] The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is an intergovernmental body of the United Nations. Its job is to advance scientific knowledge about climate change caused by human activities.[1] The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) established the IPCC in 1988. The United Nations endorsed the creation of the IPCC later that year.[2] It has a secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland, hosted by the WMO. It has 195 member states who govern the IPCC.[3] The member states elect a bureau of scientists to serve through an assessment cycle. A cycle is usually six to seven years. The bureau selects experts to prepare IPCC reports.[4] It draws the experts from nominations by governments and observer organizations. The IPCC has three working groups and a task force, which carry out its scientific work.

Particular areas of interest include trade in food and agricultural policy, climate change, and corporate accountability.

The study showed the United States was among the majority of countries that was able to safely and justly provide water to its citizens. While it provides for its citizens in regard to carbon use, it is not doing so in an ecologically sustainable manner. The study was published recently in the journal One Earth.

The Benefits of Water Filter Warehouse
The Benefits of Water Filter Warehouse
Water filtration is a vital part of our lives. It keeps our bodies healthy by flushing out toxins and providing essential minerals.
It also helps prevent the build-up of harmful contaminants such as chlorine, heavy metals, and fluoride in our homes.
The benefits of installing a home water filtration system far outweigh its initial cost. It will pay for itself in the long run and is an excellent investment for your family’s health and safety.
1. Cleaner Water
There are many benefits of using Water Filter Warehouse water filtration services. Cleaner water tastes better, has a balanced pH, and helps reduce mineral buildup in your home’s plumbing system and fixtures.
In addition, a filtered water system is less expensive than purchasing bottled water on a regular basis. The average family can save up to $500 a year by switching from bottled water to a water filtration system.
A filtration system can also help eliminate the waste associated with buying bottled water, which can be a huge burden on the environment. Americans buy 50 billion plastic bottles each year, and most end up in landfills.
2. Better Taste
Water filtration may not be the first thing that comes to mind when it comes to your home, but it can make all the difference. Not only will your drinking water taste a whole lot better, but it will also help keep your appliances running smoothly and cleaner.
A water filtration system is not only the most effective but also the most efficient way to filter and purify your water. There are a number of options for you to choose from, including whole house and point of use systems. Choosing the best option for your home can be a difficult task, but with a little research and planning you can rest assured that your water is in the safest of hands. The experts at Water Filter Warehouse are happy to answer any questions you might have and can provide you with the information you need to decide on the right system for your needs.
3. Better Health
Water filtration services are a great way to improve the health of your family. Filters remove dangerous toxins and other compounds that can throw your hormones out of balance. These contaminants can lead to problems like developmental delays, immune function impairments, neurological disorders and reproductive issues.
A water filtration system will also help to improve the taste and smell of your tap water. In addition, it can reduce the number of bottles you use in your home.
A whole-home water filtration system works to remove chlorine, rust, and other particles from your water. It can also reduce the amount of dissolved minerals in your water. This can help to prevent a range of problems from dry skin to spotted glassware.
4. Lower Utility Bills
The price of electricity and gas is climbing steadily, meaning it's more important than ever to find ways to lower your utility bills. From lighting to heating to cooling, there are a number of easy ways you can make your home more energy efficient.
One of the best ways to do it is to install a water filtration system that works for you. These systems eliminate contaminants, improve taste and make your drinking water the star of the show. They are also a good investment for your health, as well as a great way to save money on your utility bill. If you're ready to upgrade your water quality, contact the professionals at Water Filter Warehouse today. We'll help you select the right unit for your home and budget.
5. Lower Maintenance Costs
Water filtration can help remove a wide range of contaminants from the water in your home. These include arsenic, chlorine, iron, hydrogen sulfide, and other impurities that affect the quality of your drinking water.
The costs of water filtration vary depending on the type and size of system you choose, as well as the amount of maintenance needed to keep it operating efficiently. Some systems require little to no maintenance at all, while others need to be serviced regularly to ensure their effectiveness.
For homeowners who want to improve the quality of their water, installing a filtration system is an easy and affordable way to get cleaner and better-tasting water in their home. It’s also an effective way to avoid the high cost of bottled water.

Top Recession Proof Stocks in the Alcohol Space (DEO, KEGS, STZ, SAM, TAP, LVMUY)
Tumblr media
As noted by major Wall Street houses of late, the odds of a US (and possibly global) recession have jumped over recent weeks as the Federal Reserve makes plain its plans to undermine aggregate demand through monetary policy tightening to ultimately battle the inflation genie, which appears to have escaped the bottle over the past few months, putting the Fed in the uncomfortable position of being behind the proverbial curve. (1) As we know, genies are hard to put back in the bottle once they escape. Even the World Bank president has said, "As we look at the global GDP ... it's hard right now to see how we avoid a recession." (2) So, where should investors turn in this situation? One tried and true strategy when the global economy is on the verge of recession is the “Gambling, tobacco, and alcohol” strategy, also known as the Vice portfolio. People continue to embrace their vices when things turn for the worse. (3) For investors, the alcohol element of this equation is the easiest and most direct because there are a number of solid companies with strong earnings track records. But there are also some interesting growth plays in the space, as we shall see below. Constellation Brands Inc. (NYSE:STZ) engages in the production, marketing, and distribution of beer, wine, and spirits. The company operates Beer, Wine and Spirits, and Corporate Operations and Other, and Canopy segments. The Beer segment includes imported and craft beer brands. The Wine and Spirits segment sells wine brands across all categories-table wine, sparkling wine, and dessert wine-and across all price points. The Corporate Operations and Other segment comprise costs of executive management, corporate development, corporate finance, human resources, internal audit, investor relations, legal, public relations, and information technology. The Canopy segment consists of canopy equity method Investments. Constellation Brands Inc. (NYSE:STZ) recently announced that it has entered into an accelerated share repurchase (“ASR”) agreement with Bank of America, N.A. to repurchase $500.0 million of its Class A common stock. Under the ASR agreement, Constellation will receive approximately 1.7 million shares on April 8, 2022, representing approximately 80% of the expected share repurchases under the ASR agreement, based on the company’s April 6, 2022 closing stock price of $231.81. The repurchased shares will become treasury shares. (4) According to its release, the specific number of shares to be repurchased in the transaction is generally based upon the volume-weighted-average price of the Common Stock during the term of the ASR agreement, less a discount and is expected to be completed no later than May 2022. The purchase price for shares repurchased in the accelerated share repurchase transaction will be paid primarily with cash on hand and will be completed under the company’s current share repurchase authorization, which currently has approximately $2.6 billion in authorization remaining before giving effect to the ASR. The context for this announcement is a bit of a bid, with shares acting well over the past five days, up about 3% in that timeframe. Constellation Brands Inc. (NYSE:STZ) managed to rope in revenues totaling $2.1B in overall sales during the company's most recently reported quarterly financial data -- a figure that represents a rate of top line growth of 7.7%, as compared to year-ago data in comparable terms. In addition, the company is battling some balance sheet hurdles, with cash levels struggling to keep up with current liabilities ($199.4M against $2.7B, respectively). 1812 Brewing Co. Inc. (OTC US:KEGS) bills itself as an operator of and investor in companies in the craft beer industry. From 2005 to 2021 the Craft Beer industry grew by more than 300%. The Craft Beer industry continues to grow faster than the economy with growth anticipated to outpace US economic growth by 100% over the next five years. The beer industry writ-large is extremely recession-resistant, as per capita alcohol consumption rarely abates and has even increased during difficult economic times. The Craft Beer industry is highly fragmented, with over 8,000 craft breweries nation-wide. Any players looking to consolidate the industry will have that opportunity. KEGS significantly expanded 1812 Brewing’s production capacity. When KEGS moved 1812 Brewing’s original brewing equipment, with equipment additions we increased its production capacity by 83% immediately. Shortly thereafter and by participating in a series of auctions in Milwaukee, WI and Detroit, MI, along with some new asset acquisitions, we opportunistically acquired a second brewing system over 4.2 times larger than 1812 Brewing’s original system along with additional fermentation tanks, and KEGS increased 1812 Brewing’s production capacity by almost 1,000%. Basically, the company is working to become an “incubator” of growth for its holdings in the spirits industry. 1812 Brewing Co. Inc. (OTC US:KEGS) most recently announced that it has engaged elite Boston, MA-based investment bank Tully & Holland Incorporated to assist KEGS’ efforts to pursue a strategic acquisition or acquisitions in the craft brewing industry. According to the release, specifically, Tully & Holland’s (www.tullyandholland.com) efforts on behalf of the Company will consist of the creation of a target list of craft breweries, which it will research and analyze as potential acquisitions.  And with available funding, the Bank will approach and negotiate potential terms of acquisitions with the specific candidates that the Company so wishes. “This Bank is absolutely the right choice for us,” stated Mr. Scozzafava. “Since 1992, they have been focused on serving consumer businesses, and its financial expertise in combination with its deep industry experience enables them to better serve the goals of the Company. Tully & Holland has represented both sellers and acquirors in transactions of all sizes. And importantly, they have an expertise in consumer beverages – including having participated in multiple transactions involving microbreweries.” (5) 1812 Brewing has successfully moved its legacy brewing operations from its Sackets Harbor, NY restaurant to a company-owned 13,000 square foot facility in the City of Watertown’s Industrial Center.  The site, on over 2 acres of property, give the Company ample room for production and growth for years to come. 1812 Brewing Co. Inc. (OTC US:KEGS) appears to be in deep-discount territory, with shares down 90% from their highs earlier this year. That looks brutal, but it also suggests that the speculative money has already been expunged from the stock, offering new investors an opportunity to get involved in what may be bargain basement levels, especially as the company starts to ramp up its acquisition-based strategy, which represents a likely fountainhead of upcoming catalysts to liven the tape. Boston Beer Co. (NYSE:SAM) bills itself as a company that engages in the production of alcoholic beverages. The company’s brands include Truly Hard Seltzer, Twisted Tea, Samuel Adams, Angry Orchard, Hard Cider and Dogfish Head Craft Brewery. Boston Beer produces alcohol beverages, including hard seltzer, malt beverages, and hard cider at company-owned breweries and its cidery, and under contract arrangements at other brewery locations. Boston Beer Co. (NYSE:SAM) recently announced, along with Entourage Health Corp. (TSX-V:ENTG) (OTCQX:ETRGF), the Canadian debut of ‘TeaPot’, a new line of cannabis-infused iced tea beverages. Developed and formulated alongside Boston Beer’s cannabis subsidiary BBCCC Inc., and Windsor-based Peak Processing Solutions, TeaPot is BBC’s first infused beverage offering which will be available in select Canadian provinces commencing July 2022. (6) “We congratulate our partners at The Boston Beer Company on the exciting launch of TeaPot - a unique iced tea crafted with natural flavours and infused with our most distinguished cultivars that we expect will land as the best cannabis-infused beverages in Canada,” said George Scorsis, CEO and Executive Chairman, Entourage. “The BBC team has a storied history and pedigree for producing some of the most beloved craft beverages in North America and we’re thrilled to be introducing yet another consumption method for the canna-curious consumer and growing self-care market. Together, our consumer-savvy, quality-driven approach to product development has made for a complementary collaboration alongside Peak, our processing and bottling partner, ensuring every beverage is prepared with the highest care and excellence. TeaPot will be an instant hit this summer as it debuts in select provinces starting in July, with eventual nationwide distribution expected throughout the year.” Moreover, the name has registered increased average transaction volume recently, with the past month seeing 3% over what the stock has registered over the longer term. It pays to take note of this fact with a float in play that's very limited -- of 9.5M shares. As savvy traders are well aware, a mechanically driven price squeeze can result from this type of mix of small float and ramping attention from traders. Boston Beer Co. (NYSE:SAM) has a significant war chest ($15.8M) of cash on the books, which must be weighed relative to about $245.5M in total current liabilities. SAM is pulling in trailing 12-month revenues of $1.9B. However, the company is seeing declines on the top-line on a quarterly y/y basis, with revenues falling at -21.1%. Other key players in the spirits and alcohol space include Diageo PLC ADR (NYSE:DEO), Brown-Forman Corp. (NYSE:BF.B), Molson Coors Beverage Co. (NYSE:TAP), and LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton ADR (OTC US:LVMUY). The Librarian’s Trick
Day one Ectoberhaunt: Trick or Treat
https://archiveofourown.org/works/34213519
 1:
Wes was certain this Cassius guy was a ghost. He had to be. Humans didn’t live on the outskirts of town in large decrepit clock towers that Wes was      pretty sure didn’t exist last week    .
Humans didn’t have red eyes and white hair (unless they had a condition called Albinoism, Wes had looked it up. But Albinoism      also     meant they had no melanin      anywhere    and Cassius Dark was decidedly tan in an admittedly attractive but decidedly not Albino kind of way)
Humans didn’t have fangs when they smiled but normal teeth whenever Wes tried to point out that      He had FANGS. They were right there!!!
Humans didn’t spend all their time either with Danny Fenton (who was Also very much a ghost!! Which should be in the list of proof but no one believes it so it’s seperate but still!) or mysteriously absent.
And humans didn’t seem to know everything all the time but talk like a bad astrology website.
So Wes was going to find a way to prove it.
His first try had him sneaking a “ghost translator” he didn’t remember the stupid name Fenton’s dad called it when he bought it with his allowance, into the library where Cassius Dark supposedly worked.
Supposedly, because while he could be found there, Wes had never actually seen him doing anything other than reading. And it was never a book Wes recognized, like, he wasn’t reading the Twilight series or anything. The last book Wes saw had been a large ancient looking tome written in a language Wes didn’t recognize. But Everytime he tried (subtly! He was super nonchalant about it!) to take a picture it ended up blurry!! And No Kyle, it wasn’t because he was      bad at taking photos    .
But that didn’t matter because Wes had a different plan now. He was going to use the Fentons’ new version of their “ghost translator” thing, and see what happened. It was supposed to be both a translator and a truth decoder at the same time. So no matter what a ghost said, the device should say what they actually mean. Or something.
With Danny, a bunch of innocuous stuff went off around him, but people always hand waved it as faulty tech. Wes wasn’t sure that was the case, in fact he was positive it wasn’t. But if he could get something useful to build up from, that would be a good start. And every good reporter needed a start.
He stepped up to the Library’s front desk, where Cassius was sitting reading what was      clearly     a spell tome if the different summoning pentagrams in the open page Wes could see were anything to go by.
“Welcome Young Weston,” Cassius said, the hint of a smile hidden behind his red eyes as he closed his book. Wes could swear they were glowing slightly. Geez did this guy get his ‘how to pretend to be human’ classes from      Fenton    ?
… that would certainly explain why no one ever believed Wes, since that was a long beaten dead horse in his closet.
He, very discreetly, had the device hooked up to one of his earphones, which he kept in one of his ears like any normal less than perfectly mannered teenager as he asked Cassius Dark his questions.
“Excuse me sir? Do you work here?” he started with, it was a more or less innocuous question and one he actually wanted the answer to.
 Cassius Dark smiled. “I do.”
My Job is all that was, is, and shall be. That which I set as my goal is beyond mortal comprehension and those I call master shall fall to my machinations. But yes, I get paid for sitting at this desk and answering questions sometimes. I am a ghost, fear me.
Wes tried not to sweat too obviously. What the fuck?
“Can you tell me where the journalism section is?” Wes decided to make a tactical retreat, at least his voice didn’t crack.
“Straight back for eight shelves and then turn right. It’s next to the Non-fiction books.”
I know what you’re looking for, I know why you are here. I know the exact time of your death and what will happen next. Your efforts amuse me though. I am a ghost, fear me.
What Wes did next was not      exactly     fleeing. But it wasn’t      not     fleeing either.
He’d have to try something else.
 2:
The next thing he wanted to try was a bit riskier. If you thought about it a certain way. But it also wasn’t if you thought about it the way Wes did.
He was going to use a phase-proof net.
Genius, because unlike the translator machine thing, it would actually stop the ghost from attacking Wes if it got angered. Which it would, probably, since Wes was throwing a net at it.
The plan was really simple though, he’d gotten a very large net, paid extra for the little aim thing, practiced half a billion times of his brothers before they went to the parents and got him grounded for a week, and then memorized the path Cassius Dark took in the mornings to go to his “job” at the library.
Right now he was hiding in one of the leafier trees, right above the path that Cassius always used, waiting.
 And waiting.
 And…      waiting.
Honestly he was about to go home and was fairly certain this guy was going to be like, super late to work, when he finally appeared.
Wes wasted no time aiming, making sure the trajectory was absolutely perfect, and firing the net off. He was just about to jump in celebration, watching the net as it curled slightly around its target, but before it could hit and wrap around him, Cassius was suddenly not there.
Or he was, but just a little bit to the left, so that the net sailed harmlessly past.
 Wes cursed.
 3:
The third one was fool proof. It had to be.
Which was why Wes was staring at a large conspiracy board, covered in paparazzi-esque shots of the librarian and random notes he’d taken, all connected with a dizzying amount of red string.
“Kyle, seriously. I need to figure out what kind of ghost he is or he’s always going to have the upper hand!!”
Kyle just rolled his eyes and continued playing his video game, as if he didn’t care that Wes had set up his very important planning and plotting in the middle of the living room so long as it didn’t interfere with his own plans.
“It has to be pretty powerful, he was able to dodge my net before it even touched him. And the translator thing clearly said ‘my goal is beyond comprehension’ or something,” Wes mused, “and he also said his job was like, everything?”
Wes checked his notes, “yeah, ‘all that is was and shall be’. What could he mean by that?”
His very annoying and clearly not taking this as seriously as he should brother just chuckled. “I don’t know Wes, maybe he can see the future?”
That… no. That’s way too OP. Just the thought of it sent a shiver down Wes’ spine. There was no way a ghost could see the future right?
 Right?
He had to test this theory.
But how do you even test something like that?
“Kyle, how would you test if someone could see the future?”
“Throw something at the back of their head and see if they dodge?” He answered way too quickly.
Wes thought about it for a moment. “No, what if they just have really good reflexes?”
“Oh huh, I guess that could be true. No idea then.” He shrugged and Wes had to fight the urge to throw something at the back of      his    head.
Whatever. He had to make plans.
He’d tried just throwing things. It was risky, and kind of terrifying, but Kyle was right it      was     the first that came to mind.
But Cassius never dodged. He was always just, not where Wes thought he was. Or Wes had      really bad aim,    which he didn’t!!! He was a basketball ace!! He had great aim! And great situational awareness!!
So why couldn’t he hit Cassius Dark?
Obviously it was because he could see the future. And the smug smile he always had when he knew Wes was looking reminded him an awful lot of a certain other Phantom.
 4:
 Ask him about his family.
Easy enough. Especially without the Fenton’s weird translator because that might have been a bit terrifying. And also this time he had back up.
He dragged Kyle by his sleeve into the library.
 “Mr. Cassius!”
Cassius looked up from his book, removing the delicate reading glasses balanced on his nose. “Can I help you Mr. Weston?”
“Yes!” He smiled broadly, taking out a small notebook that he had used to take notes on the suspicious and ghoulish things going on around town until it was mostly shreds of paper. “I’m writing an OP ED on the town library, and would like to know more about the librarian. Can you answer a few personal questions?”
Kyle snorted and Wes had to elbow him in the side to get him to shut up. He was here as back up, not to ruin his plan.
“So,” he began, “is Cassius a family name?”
 “No.”
Wes nodded. And then frowned. Did ghosts have families? Supposedly they were alive once right? At least that was the general idea, Wes thought.
“So what can you tell us about your parents? Like, what’s your father’s name?”
Cassius raised an eyebrow, and had a soft smile filled with good humor. Wes felt it hit him like a threat. What was this ghost hiding?
Well, other than the fact that he’s a ghost.
“I can’t tell you much I’m afraid. My mother is long gone and I never had a father.”
Kyle grimaced and elbowed Wes himself before saying, “I’m sorry for your loss.”
“It’s no matter,” Cassius replied, still smiling, “I may yet see her again.”
Ah, so either she wasn’t dead or he’s convinced she became a ghost too. That made sense. It could be his unfinished business as they say among the paranormal hunters. At least, the not fight-y and crazy ones.
“So Dark was your mother’s name?” Wes asked, wondering if he could maybe find any records on her where he had failed to find them on Cassius himself.
The smile slid right off his face. Wes and Kyle both felt the subtle chill in the air as Cassius leaned back and looked off to the side, as if to glare at something that wasn’t there. “No, I’m afraid Dark is my ex-husband’s name.”
“Why keep it?” Kyle asked, completely ignoring the danger of the situation.
The smile came back, except this time instead of soft and barely there as if he were indulging a child, it was sharp and twisted. He chuckled at an inside joke no one else in the room would ever understand and then he said, “Well, it’s not like      he     has any use for it now.”
Wes paled. Had he killed his husband?!
 5:
After a hasty retreat from the library Wes treated Kyle to a milkshake and fries at the nasty burger just as he had promised. Payment for going along with his ‘weird ghost theories’.
But Wes couldn’t eat, he was too busy thinking. This one actually helped! He found information about the ghost’s previous life! He had a mother, but not a father, and had a husband.
With the current politics it was one of two options. Either he was from a previous culture that allowed men to marry each other, or he was a more recent ghost than Wes had been expecting. He had already taken out his laptop and was scrolling through obituaries with the surname Dark, trying to think if he knew any off the top of his head that might have been in town when they died.
 Nothing particular came to mind.
Wes’ thinking was interrupted by a loud, obnoxious slurping noise from his brother. He shot him a glare, but Kyle didn’t react. Wasn’t even looking at him. Instead he was looking out the window and watching one of the daily ghost attacks with Phantom playing hero as always.
“You know, it’s kinda cool that they’re hiring actors to build the town’s lore like that,” he said, clearly ignoring the obvious evidence of ghosts right outside his window.
“What the      hell     are you talking about?” Wes groaned, rubbing at his eyes. He needed coffee or something, it was a shame the Nasty Burger only served sludge no sane person would drink.
Kyle finally looked away from the window, his eyes wide as if      he     was the one confused. “You know, how they got the librarian to say he was married to Pariah Dark? And then imply he’s the reason he’s a ghost?”
Wes felt like the seat underneath him had suddenly disappeared. “Where did you get      That    from?!”
“He said his ex-husband was named Dark! Pariah Dark’s Ghost Zone show is the first thing that comes to mind!” Kyle argued back. “Isn’t it?”
Holy shit this guy was married to the ghost king.
He thought back to the ominous answers he’d gotten that first day from the Fentons’ translator. Maybe he should leave this one alone.
 +1
Wes was at the library, studying quietly and absolutely avoiding the librarian. Not that he’d seen him today, but it didn’t hurt to keep his head down. With any luck the guy had a short memory and would forget Wes had been trying to find a way to out him to the town.
A portal ripped from the air in front of him, sending a static energy throughout the library and causing Wes’ hair to stand on end. It was a swirling purple, deeper and more… well      more     than most of the natural portals that Wes had seen appear around town.
He wanted to scream, but years of living in Amity Park had fully trained that out of him. Screaming was the number one way to get a ghost locked on you as their first target. Especially if you were there when the portal opened.
Before Wes could even think to duck under the table he was using a figure stepped out of the portal, poised and composed. He had a deep purple hood that seemed to swirl with the fabric of galaxies and a large ornate clock embedded into his chest. His skin was a rich blue and he had glowing red eyes.
 Wes recognized him immediately.
“Oh, hello Mr. Weston, is there something I can help you with?” Cassius Dark asked.

A/n: this is such a cute request! I hope this is what you wanted! I wanted to try something a lil different since it's more of a reaction than a scenario🥰❤❤❤❤❤

HAPPY BOI
the second your belly gets big he gets so excited
like bouncing up and down off the walls excited
“Chris calm down”
“BUT LOOK ITS SO CUTE OUR LITTLOE BOY OR HGIRL IS IN THERE ASLAFJDSFMDVLSOJFW”
“How do you even speak like that?”
like his inner dad immediately comes out
he probably starts reading and memorizing more parenting books
you woke up like a month before the due date and Chris had literally swaddled you
.......in a blanket.....
like a baby
granted....it was the best night sleep you had in a while but...still
overall he is just so excited to become a dad when he sees your big baby bump
although the boys are very done with him giving them pureed food during lunch breaks
this man is so ready to be a father
he loves you baby bump so much
he really likes to sleep behind you so he can have a hand on your stomach so in the middle of the night he can feel his son or daughter kick
Minho:
Tumblr media
probably wakes up one morning and is like:
“.......your stomach is huge.....”
“Yeah its been like that for a couple months.”
the cats have most definitely sat ontop of your belly
he finds it so cute
he took like a billion pictures of it
ngl though he is super obsessed with your belly
like he loves watching you cook and coming up and putting his hands on your belly
if you ask him nicely he might even give you a back rub but only if you let the cats sit on your belly again
minho has been pretty chill throughout the entire pregnancy
even when you had all those weird cravings he will wait until you walk out of the room to gag at the combination of food you are eating
“Y/n stay still!!!”
“Minho this cat is digging its nails into your future daughter!”
“.............the cats name is Soongi.”
“Geez. Sorry.”
“Now hold still. Daddy wants a picture of his baby and his baby mama”

THIS MAN
THE HAPPIEST MAN ON THE PLANETTT
the second
no
the MILLISECOND this man notices your baby bump gets bigger he is all over your tummy
this man will not stop touching you
he loves seeing how big your bump is
when he is bored he likes to take your eyeliner and draw a face on your belly
he calls it Mr.Bumpy
they talk about future plans for your baby and ngl.....its pretty cute
“Mr.Bumpy should we paint the nursery yellow or white?”
“You’re right Mr. Bumpy. That’s exactly what I thought.
“Binnie you’ve been talking to my belly for like an hour and I’m hungry.”
 but he loves your belly
he thinks you look super cute the bigger you belly gets
until he accidentally pisses you off during one of your mood swings
then you are scarier the grim reaper himself
“SEO LEWIS CHANGBIN YOU GET YOUR BUTT BACK HERE!”
“I didn’t mean to !!!1 I’m sorry babbyyyyyy!”
Hyunjin:
Tumblr media
This man is so
WHIPPED
like he was whipped for you before you got pregnant but like now that your baby bump is getting bigger is more whipped than you thought possible
(y’all hyunjin be simpin)
but like for real
you ask this man to do anything and I mean anything and he will do it
“HYunjin!!!”
“what? yes? are you okay? what can I do? should I run to the store? Ill get pizza on the way back! or noodles? I don’t know. what about pickles! You liked those yesterday!”
“.....can you get the tea kettle down for me?”
“oh....yeah of course baby!”
literally will do anything you ask him
he just loves seeing you with your big baby bump
“hyunjin will you do aegyo for me? pretty please?????”
“........no......”
*points to baby bump*
aegyo storm for the next two hours just to make you smile
literally loves taking pictures with you and your big bump and always brags about it when he shows someone his lock screen
Jisung:
Tumblr media
like hyunjin he is WHIPPED
will let you literally do anything to him
he doesn't do skincare but like you made him to a whole 14 step routine one day and he sat through the whole gosh darn thing because he loved seeing you with you big bump
the second you tummy gets really big he starts talking to his son or daughter
its the cutest thing
you swear that the baby kicks every time they hear his voice
“baby can I braid your hair?”
“.........can I talk to the baby.....”
“sure!”
“YES!” *fist pumps*
is definitely the type that is you have a big bump around Halloween to convince you to wear a baby bump related couple costume if you are going to a party or something
needless to say to the skz Halloween party you went as mike and sully with your belly being mike
he was very happy
“Ji! People keep looking at my tummy!”
“I KNOW ITS SO CUTE I CANT FUNCTION!”
he also probably has minor freakouts because your numb getting bigger means one day closer to him being a father so pre parental panic attacks come more often
Felix:
Tumblr media
this weirdo
is obsessed with your big tummy in the weirdest way
but also like low-key the sweetest
when you are sitting next to each other on the couch he uses your belly as like a second table
he has also used your belly as a pillow sometimes (with your permission ofc)
again another man that is available for your every need\
Felix is the king of helping you roll out of bed because you balance is thrown off
also he makes these incredible meals out of your weird cravings (we know he has been quite the little chef and baker recently)
“Felix omg how did you turn pickles, hot sauce, and peanut butter into this?”
“I have no clue myself. I think I blacked out and Gordon Ramsay took over”
also one of the ones who likes talking to your baby bump
he is constantly having his hand on your belly
“Felix you have to go to rehearsal”
“BUT WHAT IF IT  K I C K S ?????//?”
he just loves looking and touching your big bump it makes him smile feeling his little boy or girl
(probably also a huge advocate for baby bump Halloween costumes)
Seungmin:
Tumblr media
the MOST CARING BOI  E V E R
seeing your big baby bump makes his caring side come out
“baby are you using the cream the doctor gave us?”
“yes seungmin”
“what about the vitamins”
“yes seungmin”
“does this shirt match my jacket”
“yes seungmin”
*pushing him out the door so he can get to practice only three hours later than he was supposed to*
you can pretty much guilt him into doing anything you want by just pointing to your belly and reminding him he got you into this situation for nine months.
“you wanna watch a movie and do face masks with me?”
“eh not really”
*points to stomach* “baby bump.”
“clay or sheet?”
but while he doesn't say that he loves your bump he really likes seeing it
especially when you are just kind of lounging around the house in sweats and a baggy t-shirt that is not as baggy as it used to be
seungmin also really loves when you hold hands with him and the rest your hands on your tummy
Jeongin:
Tumblr media
can someone tell me the full link to this video omg too cute ^^
this poor baby
seeing your big tummy just like a constant lovely reminder that he will be a father in a couple of months
he loves how cute you look with your big tummy
but eventually it leads him to a freakout
“y/n we haven't painted a nursery yet!!!”
“jeongin....honey we have two months left. its okay”
“y/n I don’t know how to change a diaper”
“innie you don’t have to-......yeah you should get on that baby”
*runs to watch 8347697 videos on how to change a diaper and falls through a yt baby funnel*
the minute your baby bump starts to show he goes into overdrive
he started packing your hospital bags when you were 4 months in
“innie I don't need......a.....what is this??”
“its a pregnancy pillow.”
“innie its bigger than me how are you fitting it in the bag”
but he loves your bump
probably another boy who finds the bump costumes cute but its most likely your idea
he most definitely has asked chan on how to father lessons
seungmin probably also gave him one of those parenting for dummies books but he actually read it at night before he sleeps (omg too cute)
Requests are open my lovelies!
