teasing to the point of short term periods of not eating
slight eating disorder
possibly sensitive topics
tooth rotting fluff
annoying brothers
any of these seems uninteresting to you, don’t read.
you know how your younger brother can say stupid shit at times but you really didn’t think it affected you until that day. every now and then, you’d get little comments from your brother like “oh, she’s eatin’ again? fattie.” or “why do you eat up all the food?” it didn’t really effect you, all it did was annoy you but as it persisted, the more you started to wonder if he was actually right.
the first time he ever said anything was at a cookout with your extended family in georgia. you were on your second plate of food when you heard him and your boy cousins snicker bout how much you were eating. “look, watch out! y/n’s gonna leave us hungry with the way she’s eatin’!” they said, you just rolled your eyes and went to sit with your other cousins. it was nothing but a harmless joke at the time.
the second time was when you and him were at the dinner table. “you sure you wanna eat all that? i mean, you look pretty big already.” he whispered past you, getting his fill on mac n cheese and chicken. you huffed and put up the finger, your momma scolded you and sent you upstairs to finish your dinner. “estúpido.” you said under your breathe, that you learned from miles. (y’all aren’t dating officially yet) that night, you didn’t eat as much as you normally did but it wasn’t like anyone would notice, right?
the third time was when you two were over a friend’s house, your momma forced you to bring your brother over for ‘quality time’ or some shit. as you left downstairs to eat, he popped up, snickering with your friend’s brother. “look at the hippo!” they squealed, unfortunately your friend and her mom barely heard so your mood was officially ruined for the rest of the night. you eat a moderate size amount of food and you would soon suffer the consequences for your stomach growled most of the time there.
the fourth and final time before the ‘day’, was the day after getting back from your friend’s house. you didn’t even bother getting breakfast not like your family cared, apparently. you went down for lunch and got a apple while your brother was staring at you.
“all for today, hippo?” he asked, you nodded and ran up the stairs. you walked over to the bathroom, you decided to weigh yourself just out of curiosity. surprisingly, you lost 20-25 pounds in the last week. the last time you weighted yourself, you were 199 lbs. you thought about going lower, maybe then he would stop picking on you. so you decided you go down to 160, losing 39 pounds was easy.
as the weeks passed, you were getting slimmer and slimmer. you smiled at the console of getting skinny, you weren’t an ideal type for boys. maybe then they’d start to notice you. your mom also made quick remarks about your unknown weight loss and about how she was so proud that you stopped eating as much. you weighted yourself and saw that you slimmed down to 146.
‘yes!’ you thought, you were finally perfect. or should you go lower? ‘do it, y/n.. you know you want to..’ a voice said creepily, you shivered. you got off the scale and made way to your room. that was a strange thought but you managed to look past it. you thought about it for hours, it was slowly eating away at you. 1-2 weeks later, you were down 130. you felt tired but happy.
after that, you were getting more and more exhausted. simple tasks began to take a toll on you. one day, ‘the day’, you went on the scale and passed out. you woke up, laying on the bathroom floor. you tried to get up but you were too tired. then you thought about calling miles, ‘he wouldn’t want to see you… not when you look so ugly, so disgusting… you should be ashamed..’ the voice said again.
going against it, you rang up miles. “què pasa, mami?” he asked, you sighed deeply. “nothin, could y-y-you come over? i wanna see you.” you said, gasping for air. “alrigh’, ma, hang on tight.” he said, hanging up. you passed out again.
“hey, mrs. [last name], you do know where y/n is?” miles asked, the lady shook her head. “maybe try in her room?” she suggested, he thanked her. he walked up the stairs and made way to your bedroom before he saw the bathroom door open with you lying on the floor. miles stared in concern and walked towards you. “mami? puedes oírme?” miles asked, shaking your body for a response. “nnghhh…” you groaned, “stop shaking me!” you said in annoyance, miles pulled you into a hug.
“ma, estás viva!” miles exclaimed, holding you close and smiling down at you. “yeah? i’m fine, miles.” you said, staying in his hold a little longer before attempting to get up. you fell before miles caught you. “estas bien, mami?” miles asked, worried. you looked down at your body and began to tear up, “no, miles, no, i’m not ok..” you whispered, miles picked you bridal style and walked downstairs.
gladly, there was no one there to stop him from taking you to his house because best believe he would fight if he had to. you hid in his chest most of the way there. once you got there, miles made way to his room and closed the door with his foot. he placed you down on his bed.
“mind tellin me why i found you on the floor passed out?” he asked, staring into your eyes. “i just tryna ‘ose a few pounds, ‘s all..” you mumbled, miles frowned. “mila, mi vida,” he began to say, getting down on his knees to hold your hands. “eres tan hermosa, mi niña bonita.” he finished, kissing up your arms to your lips. it was short and sweet.
you started to tear up again, miles frowned deeply. “ah, mami, no lloles, pol favol, odio verte molesto…” he said, rocking you in his arms. the two of you ended up cuddling, miles hummed a song softly to you while tracing your face. you lied against him, content. “who said that you needed to lose weight?” miles asked, his demeanor changing slightly though he still traced your face with his finger.
“uhm, no one-.” you began to say when miles shot you a “tell me the truth or i’ll fight a random nigga” look. you sighed, “my brother..” you spat out, miles stopped tracing your face to look at you properly. “and my mom, a bit.” you confessed, miles’ usual warm hazel eyes turned cold. “you’re with me for a few days, mami, ok?” he said, though it sounded more of a command. you nodded, rio’s cooking was amazing. “good..” miles whispered, kissing your cheek. you cheesed softly. “estás a salvo conmigo, niña..” he whispered in your ear, him speaking spanish always made you fall head over heels.

❝ Caitlyn and Vi take time to recover at the Kiramman Estate ❞
⊰ ⸻ ⊱ It was a welcome gift to wake up and be able to hear voices again. Her body still ached a bit but she finally back on par a little bit, she was able to sit down with her mother. She didn't have the gemstone, but she knew what Silco was after, she knew the dangers that lay within Zaun. The conversation was a bit sharp, with quite a bit of yelling that left Caitlyn coughing a little, her lungs still recovering from the smoke of the bridge that left her chest sore. But she managed to convince her mother (to her surprise). The walk back to the room was more a state of surprise than acceptance, as she pressed her hand down against her leg and flinched slightly. Spirits, it still hurt, it would take a week or so to heal, and her ears would need time to recover after being busted. But still, she was alive.
At what cost?
She pushed those thoughts away, needing to focus more on her mission. And not just that, but the other mission: Vi's. There was still so much she didn't remember, so much that confused her. Caitlyn wanted to help her piece back together her memories. The idea of losing something so important, just out of reach, must be maddening. There were things she wanted to know too, Jinx being her sister, for example, or what connections she might have. Ekko might be able to help her the most, but Caitlyn wanted to help her in any way she could.
Vi had a distant look in her eyes, as she looked at Vi sitting on the bed and Caitlyn joined her, brushing her hand lightly against her cheek. "It's okay, I just wanted to make sure you were alright," Her forehead pressed lightly against Vi's, and let out a little purr. "Well, I do hope I have a little bit of talent in that area," Caitlyn teased playfully as she opened her eyes to look at Vi.
At the question, Caitlyn let out a sigh as she pulled her head back slightly. "No, it's not you. Or well, she's not very...accepting of zaunites?" Caitlyn paused, not quite sure how to even express this. "But it was more the fact I'm demanding a meeting with the councilors after.... some illegal activity and breaking more than a dozen laws?" Caitlyn waved her hand nonchalantly, not at all bothered by her actions. "Still, I don't regret them, it needed to be done otherwise I wouldn't have the information I needed. But she's not going to kick you out, and even if she tried she has to get through me first," Caitlyn reached for Vi's hand and squeezed it softly.
"You don't have to leave, you deserve better than that,"

❝ Ahri finds a meal in the middle of Zaun . ❞
⊰ ⸻ ⊱ 𝐀𝐡𝐫𝐢 𝐬𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐚 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐲. 𝐒𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 the way this dark-haired woman berated a rat vastaya. There was no hunt in it, she simply killed him and laughed over the dead body as he suffered. something about 'too many rats anyway' and 'one less body to worry over'. Ahri's tongue brushed over her lips, the smell of her beating heart echoing into her ears. The hunters always became the hunted when their arrogance gave wind. She could smell it, the sickenly twist of bitterness made her nose scrunch up. Golden eyes peered down at the group she joined with. A scrawny man barely at five feet, a fish-like vastaya with fins against the top of her head, and the average height of her prey, with dark brown hair and scars across her face. Her pale skin spoke of little sunlight, but her scars spoke of battles once fought.
Claws dug into the stone as she crouched, her tails flicking around. The woman didn't even know she was dead yet, but she was. The moment Ahri decided she would be her prey, her sentence was set. As the trio wandered into the alleyway, Ahri dropped down and dragged her claws against the ground. The sound caused the group to twist around. They were already in her grasp, as she released the pheromones, lulling their senses. She didn't care what scent it took on for them, all she knew was that it had infected their minds, drugging them to her control as she let out a little yelp. She stood up on her feet, her claws digging into the ground. Each tail reached out and grabbed the fish vastaya and the scrawny man and shoved them against the walls.
"Run," Ahri whispered, as she twisted her pheromones to immediately induce fear. The woman who had been so arrogantly confident suddenly produced wide eyes of terror and twisted on her feet to run. Her hand reached for the knife as Ahri lowered down and started to change. Blood pumped through the veins, fear permeating the air as Ahri fed upon it. She jumped up against the wall as the 90-degree turn and lept forward, slamming the woman onto the ground. She slashed with a knife, cutting into Ahri's arm as Ahri grabbed her wrist and broke her hand. A guttural scream of pain left the woman's mouth as Ahri got off of her and slammed her up against the wall. She let out an eerie fox scream, only causing the other to panic.
Immediately, her mouth wrapped around the woman's throat, and clamped down shut. The woman screamed and struggled, blood choking in her throat as Ahri refused to let go. Despite all her struggles, Ahri just bit down harder and dragged her back as she felt the woman punching and fighting. Slowly it died down, though the woman wasn't dead yet. Letting go of her neck, she ripped at her skin, eating at her flesh. The woman was gurgling with terror and pain as Ahri started to feast upon her alive. Foxes started to eat their prey when they were living.
Her ears flicked forward though, and her claws pressed down against the woman's chest as she struggled and kicked in pain, her claws digging right over the woman's heart as she looked forward. She could smell the presence of a man, and her tails spread out, all nine of them. She snapped her jaws, as blood coated down her chin, dripping onto the woman's face as the woman was slowly dying underneath her grasp. Ahri's display didn't speak words, but actions.
This is my prey. I found it first!
The growl echoed, as she swallowed down the meat as her mouth watered. Still watching the man, she allowed a scent to weave through the air, working to charm him. Enough so that he did not interfere, she would not give up her dinner. Immediately she looked down and using her other hand, started to draw out the essence of the woman, the glowing blue light swirled around her hand as she could feel the life in the essence.
She would feed well tonight.
