So I finally found a fitting picrew for her, so here's Sam's face at last

He used to work at a musical theater, but decided to become a supervillain called the Woe-Man after originally wanting to get back their boss for just being kind of an asshole. While her main themeing is dashing thief/femme fatale, I just put him in whatever clothes I feel like putting them in, with the only limit being the color scheme of black and white.

She also wears a mask, but the picrew didn't have one, so just imagine he's wearing this mask I found on etsy and put a black and white filter over

I've identified as a binary trans man for a long time now. Before that I briefly identified as nonbinary, and before that a demigirl, but being a boy is what feels right. It's been going well, and since discovering this about myself I haven't had any major issues with my identity.

Occasionally I will do something feminine or something that makes me feel like a girl, and I'll like it. But I've always just written it off as having femboy tendencies, but not being any less of a boy.

Recently, I've started privately identifying as genderqueer alongside being a trans man. It's actually made me feel a lot better. I've always liked the label, and after seeing one of my favorite trans YouTubers identify as a genderqueer trans woman, it clicked.

My logic behind it is that I'm still a man, but I'll never be the same type of man as a cis guy. I'm ok with that, and it doesn't make me any less of a man, it just makes me a different man. My gender presentation is masculine, but inside I'm softer, more feminine.

However, I hate when people call me nonbinary and use they/them pronouns for me. For me, nonbinary has always been a "just," something old folks say before comparing me to Annie Lennox or David Bowie. "Oh, you're JUST nonbinary, you're not really a MAN." "Oh, you don't LOOK like a boy and calling you a he makes me uncomfortable, so I'll JUST call you they." "Oh, you use a gender-neutral nickname alongside your male chosen name? I'll JUST use that then." Every single time my masculinity comes into question from someone who uses seeing me as nonbinary as an out, it hurts so bad. Nonbinary people aren't a fad. It's a whole category of gender identities, all of them valid. Just because I have long hair doesn't mean I'm JUST anything. I'm still just as much a man.

That's part of my apprehension to coming out to others as genderqueer. People, cis and trans, use it against my masculinity. People have made me afraid to be interpreted as nonbinary, even though there's nothing wrong with it. People have used my androgynous presentation as an excuse to misgender me for so long. Do i tell people? Do I keep it private? Do I risk misgendering and invalidation from my friends and family for the slim chance that someone will see me for who I really am?
