my fear w leaving school and moving to work full time is i end up doing that for the rest of my life

#working full time is scary. cuz there’s so little time #and by full time i just mean more than 4 shifts a week #cuz rn i typically work friday sat sun and tues #captain’s log #but school rn takes away a lot of opportunity for work . #i could open kitchen any day of the week if i wasn’t in scho #school* #that’s 7.5 hours everyday #for something easy that i can handle and so #and id be home by five o clock #and get to enjoy my evening . which is all i rlly care about #but the fear about doing that for the rest of time #is that i have friends who’ve been working there since they were teenagers #and now they’re in their 20s #i don’t wanna do that #not that it’s bad cuz they’re cool ppl and they still seem to enjoy their lives regardless #but i can’t live w my parents for that much longer #and i wanna do something that’s fulfilling to me creatively in some way. #my job does give me some sort of satisfaction #but it’s also just @_@ #eugh #But whatever whatever whatever #i just want to create #but it feels like there’s always something in the way

Sometimes it’s hard to read fanfic when you’re studying herbalism.. when they have the character preparing a tincture to use that same DAY!!?

Baby those dried herbs need to sit in that jar with high proof alcohol for at LEAST a month!

That’s why before the use of calendars ppl use to prepare their tinctures either on the new moon or full moon. A a full moon cycle is usually 28 days or so. And they would give the moon names so it’s easier to remember when/what month said tincture was bottled.

This is also why herbal medicine is prepare in small batches. You have to take your time preparing your bottles. Making sure everything is clean so you don’t end up with mold. Diluting your grain alcohol. Heckkk knowing when to pick your herbs for max potency! Drying your herbs! That takes a lot of time too!
