I figured I should post an update since I am starting to write again. I've gotten through the first half of ch4 for USG and I'm about halfway done with the first chapter of M715. Ch2 of WW is still the bane of my existence(mostly Aim) and WCA just has one last scene before I can send it to Beck for the first beta read. We're getting back into it gamer boys and gamer girls!(i don't believe in nonbiney)

listening to re:dracula after having participated in dracula daily last year and these last updates are just really dirving home how heartbreaking it is. everyone loves each other and so they try to protect each other and in doing so they hide crucial information!

-Lucy's mother hides her heart condition (terminal) to Lucy

-Lucy hides her sickness from her mom so as to not worry her

-The things they're hiding directly cause both their deaths! Her mom doesn't know the garlic is a treatment so she shoves it out the window, contributing to the hundred factors that fuck up Lucy's treatment, and her heart condition is what causes her to die at the shock of a wolf being chucked into Lucy's room!

-Later, the guys will hide the crucial vampire info TM which will result in Mina not recognizing the signs of "being preyed upon by vampire" on herself

the only one excused is Van Helsing because even when he does talk about vampires it's not like he's believed, only after seeing Lucy (who is dead at this point) wandering the graveyard and eating a child they go ah. well. ok. maybe you have a point there.

and it's also interesting how it's precisely when they see through the deception that drives home just how much two characters love each other. when Dracula forces Jonathan to write a letter to Mina saying "coming back in a week" she goes sick with worry because her fiancé does not write like that. when John "Jack" Seward writes to Arthur saying "nothing much to report abt our examination" Arthur catches a fucking train to the city and goes "yeah you worried me".

anyway if Aziraphale and Crowley had read Dracula good omens season 2 would not have ended like that
