alhaitham was rolling his eyes when he heard kaveh’s laugh, the blond architect acting to be wiping tears off his cheeks. “so, you’re actually telling me that you were completely relying on logic with this whole thing?”
“yeah, so? what’s so wrong about it?”, alhaitham argued back, it simply just made so much more sense for him to get real with facts and logic about your mutual decision to try for a baby, after being married for quite some time and being absolutely ready and sure about it. “it doesn’t really make sense to try when she isn’t even able to get pregnant, so what’s the problem here?”
“alhaitham, you’re such an idiot, oh god”, kaveh laughed. “so, you guys have only been having regular fucks whenever she was ovulating and didn’t even pay attention on how you were feeling at all? of course things wouldn’t work out like that!”
that made the scribe think – no, neither of you had really considered that your emotions and the intimacy throughout the process of trying. the more kaveh spoke on what to pay attention to, alhaitham was absolutely sure on what to do – well, luckily, you were ovulating anyway. he couldn’t totally let go of relying on logic with this.
he might as well make things up to you for not paying attention to you as much as he should have as your husband. and he might as well try the kaveh way of things to get your mutual dream come true.
–
the moment you were back home, alhaitham pulled you inside the house, close to himself and lifting up your chin as he kissed you. he kissed you, oh, so softly, he hadn’t been this gentle with you in such a long time.
you knew that he had been absolutely busy with the akademiya falling apart so he was insanely stressed out with the sudden workload. so, the whole baby making thing you were both excited about had been a complete disappointment so far – he probably didn’t even realize how much the stress affected his mood and you didn’t really want to talk to him about it either.
he was going to realize it sooner or later and it appeared that just now, he did realize it. “i’m so sorry for neglecting you recently”, he mumbled, burying his face against your neck. “i’ve been a terrible husband, haven’t i?”
“well, i wouldn’t say terrible because either way, i love you, but yeah, the last couple of weeks were somewhat lonely for me”, you replied, voice soft as you wrapped your arms around his neck, trying your best not to sound too sad about the whole situation.
“i love you”, alhaitham said, planting yet another kiss on your lips before he pulled you inside to the kitchen where you were met with an already prepared, candlelit dinner that had you look at him with so much love in your eyes.
“this all looks so great, thank you, my love”, you smiled, sitting down, as you immediately dived in, groaning at how good it all tasted. “this is amazing.”
“of course, love. you deserve all the best.”
–
after dinner, he pulled out some wine as he put on some of the sensual music he got from kaveh (which he only accepted reluctantly, after deciding it was time to pamper you since he didn’t get to do that for so long now).
“going all out tonight, aren’t you?”, you teased, “well, it wouldn’t be fair if i were to let you do everything right?”
you finally returned from the bedroom you had buried yourself in after dinner, wearing one of the sets of dark red lingerie your friends had jokingly gifted you for your wedding. alhaitham gulped at the sight, you were looking so gorgeous in that soft silk, it was so hard for him not to pull you on his lap and rip that fabric off.
you grabbed the glass of wine alhaitham had already poured as you sat on the couch next to him, drinking a sip to calm your nerves – it had been so long since alhaitham truly paid attention to you, which you didn’t blame him for. it just simply affected how easily shy you got around him; something you had gotten over with after a while of being with him.
“you’re so beautiful, baby”, he mumbled, “i missed you so much the last couple of weeks. everything was just so stressful, i’m sorry for not paying attention to you more.”
“it’s alright”, you replied, placing the glass on the table, pulling him on top of you, giggling as you noticed how taken aback he was about that. you had your legs wrapped around his hips, laying down on the couch before you kissed him. you only realized in that moment how much you had missed your gentle and doting husband.
though, the only thing you did not realize was that this piece of lingerie that didn’t really cover anything of your skin and beautiful body was letting out the pussydrunk beast he tried so hard to push away from coming out.
he deepened the kiss, one hand softly lingering over your legs, as the other one was pulling down the fabric to reveal your nipples which he just started to play around with, pinching, sucking, biting on them, having you writhe around. the more he went down on you, he noticed the beautiful scent coming from your body, he assumed a perfume that had an undertone of some sort of aphrodisiac because it made him go so feral out of nowhere, pulling off the panties covered by the short dress.
“you’re so gorgeous, baby”, he mumbled against your thighs, and leaving a soft kiss on your clit. “i can’t wait to pamper you like you deserve, my queen.”
alhaitham didn’t care how messy he was when he was fucking you with his tongue, thumb circling your clit and he was holding your thighs apart with his tight grip, already so pussydrunk with your taste and he was unsure if he would be able to stop.
“feels good, honey? i can tell by your cute noises, baby, oh you sound so good. it’s been so long since i last got to taste you, hasn’t it? i missed the way you taste and the way you pull my hair when you get so needy, baby”, he talked you through your first orgasm of the night, you were shaking and your eyes had gotten all teary.
“alhaitham”, you whimpered out his name, body relaxing as you calmed down. “please.”
“please, what, lovely?”, he questioned, teasing you with a soft giggle. “just kidding, honey. let’s move to our bedroom, shall we?”
he had you thrown over his shoulder, having you laugh as he tickled you and then put you down on the bed, before he laid down on top of you, caressing your cheek. “i keep on repeating this but archons, i’m so in love with you, baby”, he whispered, “i can’t imagine spending my life without you anymore.”
“i love you, too”, you replied, kissing him so passionately when you were turning you both around, sitting down on your husband’s lap as you pulled the silk over your body, all naked on top of him and you couldn’t help the heat rushing up your cheeks as you realized that alhaitham was still in his clothes.
“not fair”, you mumbled, unbuttoning his dress shirt, before he sat up to pull the fabric off his body. you leaned down to press soft kisses over his skin, down to his abs, still so mesmerized by how toned his body was despite being a researcher and mostly sitting in his office doing paperwork.
“you know what’s not fair, love? the fact that you try to pamper me when tonight was supposed to be all about you. and since i know you love me being rough”, he interrupted himself as he pushed you back down on the bed, keeping your wrists pinned against the soft mattress, “i will just use you until i fuck a baby into you.”
you rolled your eyes back as he spoke, the thought of you finally getting pregnant after trying for so long had you whine in need; you just wanted him to fill you up over and over until you couldn’t take anything anymore.
alhaitham pulled his pants down and threw them off the bed, grabbing your hips to lift you up and thrust deep inside of you, having you cry out as you pulled him closer to you. “please, fuck me”, you whimpered, the needy gaze you had in your eyes were simply making him go feral on you, rough and hard thrusts, the sound of skin slapping against skin had you so weak in the knees.
“archons, you feel so good around me, honey”, he groaned, keeping up his relentless pace as you buried your nails into his back. “go on, babe, leave your marks on my back. go crazy, i don’t mind. i love the sweet pain you make me feel. beg for me to make you come and cream on my cock. beg for me to come deep inside you, to get you pregnant with my baby. you want that so bad don’t you, baby? you want me to fill you up, don’t you?”
“please, i need it so bad. wanna make you- make you a daddy”, you babbled, your brain no longer properly functioning as the attention he gave you and your pleasure was making you feel dizzy, tears rolling down your eyes.
“oh, honey, you will. don’t worry, you definitely will. even if it doesn’t work out this time, i promise you, i won’t give it a break until we make our dream come true”, he calmed you down, slowing down with his thrusts to give you his full attention again. “shh, baby, don’t cry, love.” his voice was so soft and he stopped his movements for a moment, pulling out as he realized you were actually crying and those weren’t tears coming solely from pleasure.
“need me to stop?”, he asked then, planting a soft kiss on your forehead. you shook your head no. “shh, what happened, love?”
“the thought… of not being able to get pregnant and giving you what you want”, you mumbled, “you wouldn’t leave me if i weren’t able to get–”
“hey, hey, no. stop right there, love. there is nothing in this world that could make me love you less, especially just because this didn’t work out. i would never leave you for something as simple as this. i love you too much to do something like that. i’d rather get old with you alone instead of leaving you because i couldn’t get you pregnant.”
he left soft kisses on your face, making you giggle while your sobs stopped and you calmed down again. “archons, that must’ve ruined the mood now”, you mumbled.
“what are you talking about, babe?”, he smirked, leaning down to kiss you on your lips. “i recall promising you to pamper you like you deserve, didn’t i? and believe me, i intend to keep that promise.”
he was manhandling you like it was no struggle for him at all – lifting your legs to get you into a mating press, your hips up as you were laying on you stomach as he fucked you from behind. alhaitham was not hesitant to let you know who‘s in control in this situation, having you at his complete mercy as he made you gush around him over and over again.
“oh, you feel so good, princess. take it like the good girl you are, sweetheart”, he moaned, “mhm, good job, honey. you‘re doing so amazing for me, taking your husband‘s cock like the good and pretty little slut you are. you’re my good little slut, aren‘t you, baby?” he chuckled as you nodded in agreement, brain totally empty from all sort of thoughts.
“good girl”, he groaned, intertwining your hands as he leaned down to kiss you on your soft, yet somewhat swollen lips from all the kissing sessions you had in your breaks. “oh, archons, i’m so obsessed with kissing you, honey.”
you were pretty much unable to reply at this point – brain totally clouded from how good and exhausted you were feeling.
“look at how much you’re coming for me, honey. look how much of a mess we made here”, he mumbled against your neck, watching how his cum leak out your cunt, before he scooped up some of it with his fingers and pushed them inside of you. you had lost all track of time and you were sure it had been a couple of hours since he had started ravaging you.
“sensitive”, you whimpered out, brain unable to process anything else. it had been a bit since all power had left your body and you were just laying there, taking it like his good girl he loved to praise you as.
“oh, love, did you think i was done? that’s cute”, alhaitham giggled before he thrusted his cock back inside, “i’m not going to stop.”
your eyes widened, the overstimulation had you look at him somewhat in fear of what to expect. you couldn’t remember the last time he had made you shake so intensely, make you come over and over until you were nothing but his good girl, his good little slut, clenching around him so tightly as he had you at his mercy.
“what is it, sweetheart? am i scaring you, baby? good. you’re all mine. you deserve such a good fuck for being such a good girl for me, lovely.” he let our a groan as he - once again - buried his cock deep inside of you, painting your walls white. “come for me, baby, just take it all and come for me.”
the moment you gushed around his cock, crying out his name and sobbing in pleasure, he just watched you unfold, losing all control of yourself as you submitted to the way he made you feel so good.
“you took my cock so good, honey. i’m so proud of you”, he mumbled, pulling out. “and if you this time did not work out, we‘ll try again. it‘s alright, sweetheart. it will happen eventually.”
he placed a hand on your tummy, thumb softly caressing the naked skin. “one day it will work out.”
“relax, sweetheart. i know this was a lot to take in, i don‘t really know what came over me tonight”, alhaitham calmed you down as he hugged you tight from behind as you both sank into the bath. “feel good honey?”
you nodded, closing your eyes as you relaxed against him, your tense muscles turning into mush as he simply made you feel so giggly and happy. “i have a good feeling about tonight, y‘know? i feel like this time it will have worked out”, you said.
“we‘ll see, honey. and even if not, it‘s perfectly fine”, he whispered, making you shiver at how deep his voice was. it was a reminder of all the promises he made; how they were always kept and came true eventually. and you knew that this one, no matter how long it’ll take, wouldn’t be broken either.

King Deshret wakes up in Alhaitham body except he meets Kaveh and decides he really REALLY likes him and starts to follow him like a puppy everywhere, compliment his work and ultimately court him.
And Alhaitham is very much not impressed (and maybe jealous) because this is HIS body doing the wooing.
With things like:
« My new samsara, we shall court this magnificent mind, we need to win him before anyone takes him away! »
« My new samsara do you believe he would likes the head of his ennemies as a gift to demonstrate our physical strength and abilities? »
« As he doesn’t have any family left i shall ask his hand to Lord Kusanali herself! Would 100 Sumpter Beast and a few crates of jewellery and secret books enough for a dowry? »

So many Kavetham thoughts
I wanted to discuss Alhaitham and Kaveh’s canonical relationship now that we know all of Kaveh’s character stories and voicelines. I will not be going into event or quest leaks since I have not seen them, so rest assured this is just the information from Kaveh’s profile.
Short summary: Alhaitham is two years Kaveh’s junior, and Kaveh befriended him out of curiosty, since so many people had a low opinion of him. Kaveh himself described Alhaitham as his “best friend” at this time, and when they met it was when Kaveh had just started living on his own for the first time (an arrangement he very much disliked, thinking of home as a “cold and lonely” place). They end up working on a project together along with several other scholars, but all but them gradually drop off as they cannot keep up with Alhaitham and Kaveh’s overwhelming intellect.
Kaveh attempts to help his peers, stretching himself very thin and burning out as he takes up their workload so that they do not fall behind. It actually reminds me of Alhaitham’s story quest, where the scholar doing all the work behind the scenes is unappreciated and eventually hits a breaking point, taking his own life. Before Kaveh can get to such a point, Alhaitham confronts him:
“ Kaveh maintained that Alhaitham was too much of an egoist, that he could be much better welcomed amongst people if he would just care about helping out more often. Alhaitham for his part pointed out that Kaveh's impractical idealism was just a flight from reality, and that it would come to be a burden on his existence someday, and the source of Kaveh's altruism was naught but his inescapable sense of guilt. “
And this is the beginning of the end. Alhaitham uncovers the reality that Kaveh’s altruism is not born of his selflessness, but instead out of guilt for feeling that he cannot inconvenience others the way he encourages others to inconvenience him. It is a cutting and blunt remark from Alhaitham, one that Kaveh cannot cope with:
“ Kaveh felt cut to the quick by someone who was his best friend. Alhaitham had seen through the reality that he had never been able to face, causing him to feel reality's bite for the first time “
And some people have pointed to this as the reason their relationship fell apart, that Alhaitham’s words were simply too severe and he ignored how they would make Kaveh feel. While it is true that Alhaitham does bluntly hurt Kaveh's feelings here, it took two people to split them apart - Kaveh's response is:
" Kaveh steadfastly declares that he regretted making friends with this all-too-intelligent person. The two parted ways in a single stroke. Alhaitham would remove his name from that thesis, while Kaveh would rip his copy of the thesis apart in a fury — only to put it back together with deep regret. He sensed that he would not be able to change his friend, with the reverse also being true. "
The nail in the coffin wasn't Alhaitham forcing Kaveh to face the reality of his life, but instead that was the catalyst for Kaveh declaring that he regretted his and Alhaitham's friendship. Considering Kaveh is Alhaitham's only friend (or at least, the friend through which he met all his other friends), I can only imagine how that would have felt. And ofc Alhaitham is an exceedingly rational person, but he does have feelings.
I thought that in their current relationship, Alhaitham had let go of most of his anger and Kaveh was the one still caught up in the past. After all, Alhaitham often seems teasing in his jabs, where Kaveh sounds more genuine. While this does still seem true to an extent, Alhaitham's line "where were you when Sumeru needed you most?" feels worse now we know that Kaveh was the one to renounce their friendship. They both were "abandoned" in a sense by all the people closest to them, but while that made Alhaitham reserved and self-reflective it made Kaveh cling on to those around him to avoid looking inward at himself.
And Alhaitham removing his name from the thesis, reflective of a clean break. Kaveh, on the other hand, tears it to shreds - he's spiralling, angry and guilty, but he also can't face the truths that Alhaitham exposed to him. It's important, imo, that Kaveh then repairs the thesis. I take that as an implication that he wants to repair their relationship, he just does not know how to.
This can also be seen in Kaveh’s voiceline ‘About Alhaitham - It’s Complicated’:
“ Alhaitham helped me out a fair amount recently. If we were still as close as we were during our student days, then I'd be thanking him every chance I got. Now, though... I can't seem get a word of appreciation out of my mouth. Even if I could, I wouldn't want to give him the satisfaction. I guess you could say our relationship is something of a mixed bag these days? Honestly, with everything that's happened, it almost feels like the universe has been playing pranks on us... It's hard to make sense of it all... too much to process for one lifetime. I will say that it's not every day that you get to know someone like him — I just wish he could rein in some of the worst excesses of his personality. Okay, yeah, that's never gonna happen. “
I don’t think I can express how closely this links Alhaitham and Kaveh together. It’s not just old friends with differences of opinion; they quite literally make up parts of one another.
The reference to the ‘universe’ is intriguing - while Kaveh is a romanticist who would use this flowery sort of language, in Genshin fate is a thing that plays a huge role. And his confession that it’s too much for a single life time, on top of the fact that their research project was on King Deshret (of whom Kaveh and Alhaitham share qualities)... I am not saying there is a reincarnation situation, but but Genshin often does use characters to reflect their historical figures.
In Alhaitham’s character stories, it’s revealed he considers Kaveh a mirror:
“ Kaveh is a familiar face, similarly lacks familial attachments, and is the polar opposite of [Alhaitham] as a scholar — that is to say, an excellent mirror “
and now Kaveh seems to agree, as this is from the end of his character story 5:
“ Rationality and sensibility, language and architecture, knowledge and human feelings... Things that can never be integrated are what constitute the two sides of the mirror — indeed, of the entire world. “
I made a whole other post about this after Kaveh’s drip marketing, but there’s even more now. One thing I personally find quite relevant is their attitudes towards other people; where Alhaitham is an extraordinarily self-reflective individual, Kaveh obsesses over the lives of others. He speaks about wish to “rein Alhaitham in” and an important part of his arc through his character stories is recognising that: “the most unshakable part of one's past is a friend that will never change”. Alhaitham, on the other hand, obsesses over looking inward at himself, claiming that that’s the reason he enjoys Kaveh living with him.
Why are they so different in this way? Simply put: Kaveh is afraid of looking inward, of self-reflection because of the guilt he’s held onto for so many years. He’s extroverted and personable, he has no issue constructing the fantasy of his life for other people to see him through. But Alhaitham can look past all of that, like Kaveh says he’s the only one who truly knows Alhaitham, Alhaitham is the only person who really understands Kaveh.
But Alhaitham isn’t perfect - he’s so focused on himself because he can’t handle others. He doesn’t understand; he can’t comprehend why Kaveh acts like he does even they he knows him so well, and talks a big game about how emotions and logic combine to create human intention/action, but Alhaitham himself falls short of ever really getting it. To him it’s all a formula to be followed - he can get to the correct answer, but he doesn’t know what to do with it.
Kaveh writes in his journal about the project he and Alhaitham undertook, and it goes as follows:
“ Page 31: Some academic notes and architectural drawings. Postscript: "Our views are aligned, and they are complete." This line has been struck out. "Our views are contradictory, but it is through contradiction that more speculation and philosophy may be born." This line has been retained. Page 42: The cover of a thesis that has been torn up, then put together again. No postscript. “
Between them, there is this push and pull. They are completely alike but then entirely different. I’m not even talking specifically from a shipping point of view, their relationship is based around the idea that they are two necessary parts of one whole. Unironically, they would make excellent dual grand sages.
I’m really glad that Kaveh’s character stories dove into their complexity while not sacrificing Kaveh’s individuality as a character. In fact, Alhaitham talks about Kaveh way more in his voicelines than vice versa - perhaps a sign that Alhaitham is more at peace with their relationship? Kaveh believes that “Alhaitham never did perform a good deed unconditionally“ but in the archon quest, Alhaitham claims that he “does not keep track of favours”.
I think Alhaitham was hurt by Kaveh moreso than Kaveh was hurt by Alhaitham. After all, for Kaveh the painful part was being forced to reconcile with the reality of his life, it just so happens that Alhaitham was the one to reveal it to him. Meanwhile, Kaveh denounced their entire friendship just because Alhaitham told him the truth - that is a conflict based solely in their relationship.
They need to have an open and honest conversation, but Kaveh refuses to trust Alhaitham and Alhaitham never asks the right questions. It’s a genuinely tragic dynamic that could be rectified, if only either of them could do what they always fail to. If Kaveh could self-reflect on his own issues, he might be able to recognise that he’s partially to blame for their woes. If Alhaitham could truly attempt to comprehend Kaveh’s actions past “irrationality”, then he might get out of his own head long enough to wonder about how Kaveh sees him.

alhaitham, light of your life, absolutely normal scribe, feeble scholar, very average person, is not the nicest man you know, nor is he the rudest. he is also the strangest yet simultaneously ordinary person you know, and you are not sure how you feel about that.
so is it weird that he's at your doorstep, bouquet in hand? yes. a little bit.
a lot, actually.
you stare blankly at him, meet his deadpan expression head on. you are not sure what to say. are you flattered? yes, absolutely. but you are also more stunned than anything.
"alhaitham," you finally speak up, eyebrow raised at his silence as he offers the flowers without a single greeting or explanation, "you, uh--" you want to say he's not very good at this, because in your defense, he literally has not said anything to you. you choose otherwise, however, opt for a gentle smile that his stoic expression seemingly softens at. "hello to you, too."
"good morning." his gaze shifts between you and the flowers. "i don't like having my hands full."
"figuratively, i thought."
he shrugs, gestures you to take the bouquet.
"and physically."
there's a slight curve of the lips when he hears your laughter, a wave of relief washing over him when you accept the gift. he clears his throat loudly, thinks to excuse himself from your presence, but you are quick to invite him inside, offer safe harbor from pointless interactions and meaningless conversations.
no, alhaitham is not very good at this whole courting ordeal, you think, swatting his arm lightly with the bouquet, but you both love it all the more.

there's something so terribly sad about the thought of alhaitham and kaveh's darling, and kaveh tucking a mourning flower behind their ear with a sad smile. a flower from a part of sumeru darling will now never get to see; a reminder that kaveh can leave and come back, and still darling is so grateful for the reminder of the world outside their little square of alhaitham's-home-and-the-garden-he-lets-me-walk-in-for-half-an-hour-a-day that they sigh and rest their cheek against kaveh's hand and ask him (one of their captors! a man just as responsible for all of this as alhaitham himself!) to stay with them just a bit longer. to tell them about the mourning flower. to ask him what the desert is like.
because darling won't get to see any more of this, and if they ask alhaitham he will tell them the soil conditions and the average temperatures and the native beasts in his clinical, dry tone. at least kaveh will tell them the things they want to know; tell them about the people, crack a joke about the client he's working for, take a deep breath and smile like he's remembering something beautiful and let emotion swell his voice. will speak as if one day, darling might get to see it too.
they both know that darling will most certainly not. but kaveh will spin it like a fairytale anyway. and if darling kisses him for the gift, if darling places their hands into his (feels the roughness from working with his fingers, the grit of the sand still in his hair when they stroke it), if darling pretends through him for a moment that they're right there too . . . well, it's equivalent exchange, isn't it? kaveh's pleasure (a kiss, a touch, a murmured sigh) for darling's hope. a flower for a night together.
but it is just a flower. the same thing a lover would give their sweetheart. so kaveh can pretend that your desperate kiss (the press of your body on his, the whispered thanks against his lips, the sighs and huffs against your shoulder and the snap of his hips) is given freely.

Kavetham constellation brainrot
we, collectively, don't talk about Kaveh and Alhaitham's constellations enough.
Looking at Alhaitham's first, Vultur Volans was the roman term for the constellation Aquila (the eagle). But why are we referencing its symbolism as a vulture instead of an eagle? That feels deliberate even though everyone assumes Alhaitham's meant to be an eagle. I contend that it's meant to be three things, an eagle, a vulture, and a falcon (just like the interpretations of the real constellation.) The eagle is obviously the well-trodden path of the divine symbol of Zeus/Jupiter. But what we kind of ignore is that the eagle was said to hold onto Zeus's lightning bolts, y'know his method of smiting people. Vultures and falcons have similarly death-related divinity. In an ancient desert environment, vultures are very useful as scavengers for getting rid of bodies to prevent the spread of disease and the general unpleasantness of rotting flesh. Falcons are very clearly associated with Egyptian gods, but particularly Horus, who was famously born/created from the dismembered body parts of his father. Interesting.
Now let's look at Kaveh. Paradisaeidae refers to birds of paradise, which are a real kind of bird, but the name is based on a kind of bird from Persian myth called the Huma bird. These things are wild. They're supposedly always flying and never lands on the ground. Some myths depict them like phoenixes, burning up every few hundred years to be reborn from the ashes. It's supposed to bring good fortune to people it flies over or who touch it. In some traditions it cannot be caught alive and whoever kills it will die within 40 days. It overall symbolizes unreachable highness and divinity. Obviously, it's a fake bird, but it's theorized that it's based on bearded vultures (meaning if we interpret it as a real bird that's gained divine properties, it would've probably done so via literally starving itself out of an unwillingness to bring or benefit from harming another creature).
They're the same kind of bird, fundamentally, but associated with opposing kinds of divinity. One brings destruction and the other brings fortune. One is self-sustaining, comfortable as the right hand of the true divine, but it is outcast due to its nature to survive using tragedy that befalls other creatures. The other cannot ever come down to be a normal bird, it sacrifices itself on an altar of being able to continue to bring joy to people it will never be close to. Change, decay, and cold rationality vs burning compassion and altruism and perfection. The burning bird can never be a meal for the vulture, as its death means only ash, and it is thus the only kind of misfortune of another creature the vulture can truly understand and care about. The Huma can never understand why the eagle is content as a messenger for the gods, why the vulture feels no guilt for the death it scavenges, why the falcon is content with a normal life when it was born with the potential for unimaginable greatness. The eagle, vulture, and falcon cannot understand the Huma's lack of pride or its willingness to damage itself for the sake of humans who would catch and kill it in their ignorance.
Also relevant is the fact that Deshret is clearly meant to be an analog of Horus or Ra. Both are associated with falcons and the sun, and their eyes are both significant in mythology (Deshret is symbolized by an eye in a sun in the lore). Nabu Malikata also has a massive pattern of sacrifice and she famously made a daughter-bird that was destined to die in the cataclysm.
There's a lot to unpack here but by god someone's gotta do it. The reincarnation, entangled souls, two sides of a coin vibes are SO STRONG with them. They're soulmates and the constellations only reinforce this when you pull back the hood on them. AAAAAA

About The Kaveh Reincarnation Theory
I will make this theory make sense and no one can stop me.
Story Parallels
We know very little about the Goddess of Flowers but her connection to Kaveh is less about backstory and more his personality.
What do we know about her? She foresaw her own death in the cataclysm and didn’t run away from it. She facilitated her so she would leave a legacy greater than herself behind. And she did, creating the Jinn and the Khvarena. And what does Kaveh do on a near daily basis? Break himself over and over again to create things that will outlast him. And while he has succeeded in creating great things, he is still trying to make a legacy, no matter how much he brings himself to a closer ending than he should ever have.
Artifacts
Honeyed Final Feast
"In those days, the moonlight would tell of their happiness to the nightingale and the rose." "And they were so frightened and abashed that they could sing no song in response." "Peace and ease reigned, and there was no division or misfortune in this worriless paradise..." "If only these wonderful days, as lovely as a shimmering mirage, could last for eternity, and that they should never have to taste the bitterness of parting."
Could possibly parallel Kaveh and Al Haitham’s relationship before their falling out, as well as how Kaveh was living at what he thought to be the high point of his life before he ended up homeless.
Later, time sundered the contract between day and night, destroying the ancient oath. The gentle moonlight sank into the quicksand. The sun shrouded all things in its fearsome gaze.
The mention of quicksand is interesting, considering that is how Kaveh’s father died.
Dreaming Steelbloom
"When the moon leaves your palm, and the lonesome silver light retracts from atop the labyrinth on the sand ocean," "One hopes that you will remember how your companion in the dreams shone like the burning sun."
This is the same line I pulled for the Al Haitham write up but it still tracks as a possible parallel to Kaveh and Al Haitham’s falling out. Or rather, an implication that if things were to continue as they are, history might repeat itself between the “sun” and the “moon”
Ay-Khanoum's Myriad
In a bygone time which only the Jinn recall, the Lord of Flowers was cast aside by the heavens. Her magnificent vessel was left a savaged husk, her kinsfolk punished by way of being stripped of their minds... Legend has it that the Lord of Flowers wandered the barren wastes for seventy-two nights... Her heels were worn through by the merciless gravel. Her wounds gushed into limpid springs, turning into streams with no boundaries.
Could act as a parallel to Kaveh losing everything he has to create the palace and being homeless afterwards.
Wilting Feast
The Lord of Flowers capitulated to her friend's folly, finding a most admirable rebellion burning within the ambitions of the god. An idea that joined the wisdom of thousands, and the great attempt at binding their dreams to power. What hides here is more than lies, but also the future of humanity, burning like the sparks of hope... Dreams will always dissolve, their landscapes fated to collapse — this is the true meaning of the blooming flowers. Only by suffering through the destruction of a god's delusions can humanity learn to rise against divine will... Just as the stubborn God King orchestrated this secret rebellion, surviving on the strength of individual will alone. However, the Lord of Flowers never knew a love that could be as sweet as wine, let alone the paltriness of human emotion. Brilliant as she was, even she could not easily predict when these little beings would finally realize the truth... "... Have these so-called gods not been superfluous to you since the beginning?"
Oh boy, there’s a lot to unpack here, but I’ll attempt to simplify.
This is the very culmination of the parallels between Deshret and Nabu Maikata as well as Al Haitham and Kaveh. The main purpose here is that the Goddess of Flowers never truly agreed with Deshret. She could never fully believe in his ideas, yet she stayed by his side anyway in a hope that they could do something truly selfless for their people. This is almost one to one Al Haitham and Kaveh’s dynamic. They will never see eye to eye. Yet they are each other’s mirror, equals in every way.
And like the past, eventually these ideals clashed and the dream died. Deshret, like Al Haitham, chose to do all his work on his own. And Nabu, like Kaveh, did everything she could to be selfless, but could really only watch as her world crumbled. Nabu and Deshret’s love, like Kaveh and Al Haitham's, wasn't sweet. It was chaotic, all over the place, impossible to fully pin down and yet it was still there. After every tragedy, after every hardship, after the times where they believed they were nothing to each other, the emotions there had never grown dull.
The final thing to connect is the question Nabu was asked and the question Al Haitham asked Kaveh.
“How has realizing your ideals gone for you?”
For Nabu, the answer was to design a legacy born of both bitterness at life and the gods, as well as so those after her could live on. For Kaveh, he hasn’t figured out his answer yet.
Secret-Keeper's Magic Bottle
In a bygone time on which the Jinn alone are silent, King Deshret poured his deepest ambitions out before the Lord of Flowers... As the moonlight's visage drifted across ripples within a glass of pomegranate wine, the Lord of Flowers finally succumbed to the persuasion of a friend most beloved. The words King Deshret spoke that night remain unknown to all. Even the eldest Jinn bestow only silence when asked about that which was said. None know what secret desires King Deshret revealed in the dark past daylight, desires that might shock even the wisest of gods. But the Lord of Flowers herself drew enlightenment from the exchange. It had been within her calculus — something long foreseen. . . . "Know this: if there is to be hope in this world, it will be found kindling within mortals most ordinary."
Acts as a parallel to Kaveh and Al Haitham’s project while they were still in school. Also parallels Al Haitham’s closed off self reliance and Kaveh’s desire to give pieces of himself to others.
Connections to Real Life
The only name given to the Goddess of Flowers is Nabu Malikata. And while the first half of her name can’t really be attributed to Kaveh (Nabu being an ancient Mesopotamian god of literacy, the rational arts, scribes, and wisdom), the second half of her name can. Malikata can be translated to the ideogram of the Middle Persian word for queen, MLKTA. More proof of this is found in the Eternal Oasis, in her name is written as “NABU MLKTA” in the in-game Deshret Script, the same as the ideogram of the Middle Persian word.
Kaveh’s name, as I’ve learned (shout out to my friend Cado, who unintentionally helped me with a lot of this) is a very common Iranian/Persian name for boys. That’s just a fun fact, more specifically, the name came from the Shahnameh, or the Book of Kings. The name Kaveh was used for a character in the tale of Zahak the Serpent King, in which the Zoroastrian gods played major roles.
The Goddess of Flowers, created something known as Khvarena, which in Genshin is a purifying spirit, but in Zoroastrianism, is a concept of a divine power projected upon and aiding the appointed. While it could be considered grasping at straws, reincarnation or being the vessel of divine power could be considered a form of Khvarena in real life Zoroastrianism.
Now, we have no Goetic name or twisting of a Goetic name for Nabu Malikata, we can also lift from Egyptian mythology considering Deshret’s true name is Amun. The consort of Amun/Amun-Ra is Mut, sky, fertility and matriarch goddess said to be born from the primordial waters of Nu.  This could be the proof of Nabu Malikata’s true name as she has been shown to have connections with Egeria, who wielded the power of the Primordial Sea. And, while not directly from Fontaine does have connections to it as his mother moved there.
As for Mut as a name, it could be twisted in Mathim, an alternate reading of Bathin, a demon said to know the virtues of precious stones and herbs.
Conclusion
Oddly enough I feel like this theory is far more concrete than the one with Al Haitham. With references to Persian mythology, mytho-history, and history in both the Goddess of Flowers and Kaveh, as well as the parallels in their stories, the theory actually feels very water-tight. Perhaps my theory with the most proof to date.

Reincarnation Theory; an attempted breakdown on Alhaitham and Kavehs relationship that will never come to fruition because Hoyoverse are cowards— by Pidge.
Tumblr media
When I finally got my hands on Alhaitham, I was ecstatic. Not only because damn, I finally get to play as this hunky, genius know-it-all pretty boy who would surely never give me the time of day if we were in the same room, but because attaining his character in game gave me first class tickets to learning more about him.
Up until his release as a playable character, we didn’t really know much about Alhaitham. He seemed cocky and aloof, sure of himself and had the knowledge to back up those attributes. It was honestly a little frustrating to see a character who acted so much like one you’d want to hate, but you simply just…. Couldn’t. Because seriously…? He’s not wrong. Dig a little deeper, and a lot of players found his actions and personality type to be extremely autism coded, and honestly refreshing for a lot of neurodivergent players like myself, so used to never seeing “undesirable” personality traits in characters who are designed with the intention for you to love them.
Working on building up Alhaitham to be my main Dps was entertaining, and in doing so I ventured more into the desert, learning more and more about the mysterious King Deshret and his seemingly abandoned society.
The symbolism found within ruins and relics had me jumping to conclusions so quickly. Rushing to message my best friend and fellow genshin impact enthusiast, Kier, to tell them of my theory.
Alhaitham has to be a reincarnation of king deshret! There’s so much symbolic mirroring in his design, his constellation, everything! Even if he isn’t, he has to have something to do with this ancient society, I mean c’mon, look at him.
And Kier, ever the seemingly nihilistic critical thinker brushed me off.
I’ve not payed much attention to the desert lore so far, they’d said. It’s sort of boring and white washed, and I’m focusing on the archon quest line right now. But whatever you say, kiddo.
Of course being in the throes of a questline involving the dendro archon herself, and the questionable nature of the beloved scaramouche becoming a playable character, (I could write a whole essay on the problems of that story’s narrative alone, but I shall save that for another day) was enough to distract me from this thought process, but then he arrived.
Alhaitham’s story quest caused every cyno x haitham shipper to do a collective and dramatic record scratch, because who was this stunning blond bombshell and why is he so hot despite nagging at our boy?
Kaveh stole my heart immediately. One look at that little open back panel on his shirt and I was done for. And as the drip marketing started, and the leaks were sucked up the fans straws like a sugary drink on a hot summers day, I went digging.
Alhaitham has multiple voice lines dedicated to his flamboyant roommate, and several that mention him in passing. They have matching animations for when they are standing idle in game. Their signature dishes mimic foods from each others referenced cultures, even items within their Teapot gift sets are representative of each other in some way. For a game that so seemingly discourages relationships between adult playable characters (in favour of keeping an open ended relationship with the beloved traveller of course,) these two are seemingly more connected to each other than any two characters we’ve seen before.
So with my theory that Alhaitham is a reincarnation of King Deshret, that would make Kaveh the goddess of flowers, yeah?
That was my initial thought too, until I looked deeper and found the mirrors.
Mirror symbolism is extremely important to Alhaithams character. He is literally named after a prolific contributor to our understanding of vision, optics and light— Al-Hasan Ibn al-Haytham, born around a thousand years ago in present day Iraq. Alhaithams elemental skill and burst involve mirrors of dendro energy, which fly off and bounce off of each other when his burst is activated, much alike to how light bounces off a mirror.
Alhaithams character story lines mention that despite their seemingly tedious relationship, he really respects Kaveh and his intellect. Kaveh helps Alhaitham to look outside of his comfort zone, and Alhaitham helps keep Kaveh’s feet on the ground. He says they are excellent mirrors of one another, and takes their relationship as an opportunity to observe and learn things that he never might have without him.
Here’s where my blatant romanticism comes out to play. What if Kaveh is not the goddess of flowers, but the reincarnation of King Deshret himself? What if the two deities wanted to be reincarnated as perfect mirrors of one another, while still retaining qualities the other loved so dearly?
KD was very clearly an architect himself, the ruins and buildings of the desert are no small feat, which is what drew me to the idea that perhaps Kaveh is the king. Kaveh is an extremely skilled architect, literally known as the ‘light’ of his darshan. KD naturally would retain that love and devotion for aesthetics in design. But he loved the goddess of flowers, so why not reincarnate as someone she might love? Someone thoughtful and emotional, someone who cares, someone beautiful and full of life.
The goddess of flowers loved KD as well, for his undying will in his search for truth, for his strength, intelligence and ability to lead. Hell, she sacrificed herself just so he could get closer to his goal. But of course, she’d not be able to be rid of some of that care-free nature, that free will that lead her followers to love her so, hence her reincarnation into someone that Deshret would have loved, a person who dedicates their entire being to the truth, to the pursuit of knowledge, even if that means seeming self absorbed in the eyes of others (when in reality he’s only going to put effort into what is interesting to him, such is his own use of that free will.)
The GoF still roams the sands for her love, even though she’s not a fan of the sands that destroyed her in the first place, (Alhaithams ascension materials are found deep within desert caverns, “*tsk* there’s sand in my shoes”
And the mourning king still searches for his flowers that represent the love he lost so long ago. (KAVEHS ASCENSION MATS ARE MOURNING FLOWERS????)
Of course, this theory may change and grow as we learn more about Kaveh, as at the time i am writing this, he is still locked away in Hoyo’s basement. But rest assured, as soon as i get my hands on him i will take another deep dive into the lore behind these two morons, and we can further discover how connected they really are.

alhaitham’s birthday special.
alhaitham x gn!reader
mentions of cyno, tighnari, nahida, nilou, and kaveh, and the reincarination theory, hints of alhaitham’s lore relating to his grandmother
fluff, sfw, birthday blues, comfort, memories, nostaglia, sentiment, friendship,  bittersweet, confession, friends to ???
heavily inspired by  @l00106 with their alhaitham birthday art, hope you dont mind me tagging you!
Tumblr media
In ancient civilizations and time gone by, many believers of the Scarlet King would bring offerings to celebrate the manifestation of the first appearance of their leader. They would bring fresh fruit from the forests, sing songs in front of the great mural of his Eye, and have great feasts. Even his fellow divine would join in on the festivities. The Greater Lord brought her presence to the desert to listen in and bring speciality items and songs, but also the Goddess of Flowers would put on a dance for the king. Despite Scarlet King’s hesitation towards his birthday celebrations, when both of his friends ceased to exist, he missed them dearly.
But to cover up this feeling of sorrow, he would frown on these celebrations until the end of his rule and the fall of Gurabad.
Alhaitham’s eyes scanned the pages of his book, sitting in a big blue chair that was placed in front of a large table sprawled out with books and papers. He had no time to dwell on the past, but he could never put aside his time for reading. The scribe understood the Scarlet King’s hesitation towards celebrations because at the grand scheme of life, fluff is only there for filler and that there was no true purpose to that. Only through logic and events that furthered life along directly was important.
But to Alhaitham’s friends, they believed that birthday parties were crucial to life. It celebrated the way that Alhaitham was alive. .Alive enough to help the archon of his city.
“Whatever do you mean Alhaitham’s birthday party? He has never struck me as the type to party?” Cyno’s voice was soft and quiet but you could hear it just fine over the ruckus in the cafe. A couple of students at the Akademiya were giggling and gossiping just thinking about Alhaitham.
“I would love to participate. I could gather the ensemble for a special performance for him.” Nilou chimed in, setting down a few cups of coffee down on the table, smiling.
Tighnari’s ears wiggled for a moment in thought as he came up with something.
“We could get the archon to help.” Tighnari suggested, as Kaveh began to saunter in.
“You, making a birthday celebration for that hermit?” Kaveh exclaimed, as Tighnari sighed.
“Hermit" means someone who lives alone, Kaveh. He lives with you.”
Kaveh rolled his eyes, sitting down next to you.
“Like what do you see in him anyways?” This prompted you to look at Kaveh with the softest and tender look on your face. You chuckled, a light blush on your face, but then swallowed the feeling with a big gulp of coffee.
“What do you mean? I just want to do something special for him. He saved the city from that godawful sage and the archon too.” You explained, as you received four looks from your friends. You brushed it off, as you began to initiate ideas for the celebration.
*****************
His fingers brushed the spine of an old book-probably as old as him or even older. He couldn’t even remember a time without it. A small smile crept on his lips in the secret confines of his office, seeing the old lettering written inside the cover. It was addressed to him and I could still remember the feeling he had when he received it.
The sunlight was seeping through the home, as an older woman sat next to him. He tore apart the wrapper paper meticulously and was surprised with a book. Its green cover with gold lettering brought his attention to the title. He looked at the woman and smiled wide.
He held the book close to him as a young child, being inspired to read everyday, and now as an adult, he would always carry it around. The memories were worth it to bear sadness, but again, it’s a part of life. Celebrations were not.
He shut the book, seeing the title of it, The Folio of Foliage, and put it away for the time being, feeling a tear inside but quickly dismissed it. He heard a group of students giggling up on the elevator, as he rolled his eyes.
“Excuse me, do you have an appointment?” He asked the young ladies as they shook their heads.
“Oh no, we just wanted to wish you a happy birthday.”
He nodded at the regards, having no emotional response to it, and then dismissed them. He kept his head down in his books until nightfall.
He closed up his office to be met with the shiny diamonds in the sky. He wiped his brow over the amount of work he had finished, and began walking along the street until he heard someone call his name.
Her green eyes smiled into his own, as she was sitting on a swing she had crafted. He looked at her in admiration and respect, as she smiled.
“A little someone told me it was your birthday, and you worked the entire day?” She questioned, as he nodded.
“I don’t see celebrations as being crucial to life.” He responded, as she smiled.
“I suggest you head down to Zubayr Theatre anyways. Just follow the scent.” The archon smiled, as she disappeared. He sighed, rolling his eyes and walked down the road to find the theater lit up with fireflies from the forest. He expected grand collaborations of sorts, but it was just you.
You stood proudly on the theater’s stage with a few flowers in your hair, and surrounded by presents. You smiled at his appearance. He looked up at you with his mouth slightly agape, as the stagelight floated above you.
“What’s this all for?” He asked, looking up at you. You turned red at his gaze, and titled your head up to find your friends above in the curtains of the stage handling the technical details.
“Your birthday. I know you don’t like celebrations, so I thought maybe this doesn’t count as one.”  You offered his hand up.
“The others helped clear Grand Bazaar out, so it’s just us two.” You smile at him, as he takes your hand. The softness of his hand onto yours made you blush even more, but kept strong.
There was a silence that arose between the two of you, just watching the fireflies together and seeing the stars float in the sky, as you took a chance.
Leaning on his shoulder, you clear your throat, “Did you tear up today?”
He looked at you in confusion, “Huh?” “Did you get sad at all today? You know, birthday blues.” You explained, as he rested his head onto yours.
“I did, yes, but I guess it’s quite alright.” “It is. It’s okay to be sad on your birthday. It’s a day celebrating your birthday and well the sad things that come across. The past memories make it sad sometimes. The thought of remembering someone when they’re gone, but isn’t that crucial to life?” You chuckle, as his eyes widen in shock.
“I guess you found me out.”
He eyed the presents in the back and having a bit of a smile, “Hope you accept these from the others. The one’s decorated in purple are from Cyno, green are Tighnari, blue are Nilou and red is Kaveh.”
Another form of silence.
“Also would you accept my gift for you? I know it would never top your grandmother’s, but…”  You trail off, the light blush resurfacing.
“Hm, what is it?” He seemed a bit distant, aloof maybe, but he was inside his mind trying to process all of this. You whisper in his ear before giving him a kiss on the cheek.  “Happy Birthday, Alhaitham.”

wc: 2.1k
a/n: i had been thinking about writing a threesome for alhaitham and kaveh for a while now so this collab came in pretty much at the right time; i was so excited to write it that i just really wrote it all today xD i hope you guys like it just as much as i do !!!
Tumblr media
“so, we were thinking”, kaveh suddenly plopped down next to you, startling you as you had been focused on your book as you laid on the couch.
“hello to you, too. idiot”, you muttered the last part as you marked the page you stopped at with a piece of paper and put the book away; giving your total focus on your boyfriend. well, one of them. the other one was still sitting on his seat, not really looking at kaveh and you. alhaitham was as unbothered as always – listening, but not actively participating in the conversation.
you grabbed a bottle of water as you waited for kaveh to proceed, drinking a bit of it. you hadn’t even realized how dry your throat was until that moment, so the water was really helpful.
“you know how we’re all in a relationship together? how come we never had a threesome then?”
you choked on your water, almost spitting it out on him to which alhaitham couldn’t help the snicker escaping him. “excuse me?”
“i mean, come on. it’s always either you and me or you and alhaitham. and i think we should switch things up a little? i feel like that would make things really interesting”, kaveh explained. in the same moment he was slowly stroking up your leg, fingers lingering gently over your skin, causing goosebumps to cover the naked skin as you were only wearing quite revealing shorts.
“so, what do you say? think you can handle us both at the same time, honey?”, kaveh grabbed your hands and pulled you closer towards himself, having you move until you were seated on his lap. he grabbed your ass in the meantime, while you leaned in to kiss him.
“now, sweetheart, don’t you think it’s a little unfair to me?”, alhaitham muttered from behind you, hand slowly wrapping around your neck, softly squeezing but not too much that it would affect your breathing in any way.
you looked up to him, seeing him smirk knowingly as you gulped.
between your two boyfriends, alhaitham had always been the more intense type in bed. he was the type to use you for his own pleasure (still, he would never leave you unsatisfied in any way) whilst kaveh was the more giving lover, bringing you to the edge over and over with his mouth and fingers before he even cared for his own release.
being in between both of them now had you anxious on what was expecting you. “oh, honey, don’t think we’re going to go easy on you. and don’t even consider for a moment that we will leave you unsatisfied because at the end of this, you will either be begging us to stop or be on the brink of passing out. so, are you in for it, honey?”
you breathed in and out deeply to calm your nerves for a second before you nodded. “ah, ah, ah. use your words, sweetheart”, alhaitham warned you, hand squeezing your throat a little bit more this time.
“yes. i’m all in for it”, you said once he relaxed his grip on your throat, almost in a trance as you lost yourself in kaveh’s eyes, he was looking at you with so much adoration and love in his gaze.
“go on, love. get to the bedroom, take your clothes off; we’ll be there in a moment”, alhaitham said, pulling you off kaveh’s lap before you hurried to the room, all excited already.
“this was a good idea”, kaveh then said before he got up, went to the kitchen and grabbed a couple of bottles of water. he already knew how intense things could become with alhaitham – having it experienced himself multiple times already – so he knew that you would want some water from time to time. and he obviously didn’t want you to dehydrate.
“for once, i have to agree with you”, alhaitham chuckled before he disappeared into the comfort of your bedroom, already impatient to have you all shaking, crying and overstimulated for him and kaveh.
it was so hard to breathe when alhaitham was fucking your mouth and kaveh was eating you out at the same time. your hips were twitching as you were nearing your first release of the night, alhaitham was groaning about how good your mouth felt around his cock. you were practically drooling around him, tears in your eyes as he was being absolutely rough with you.
“feeling good, honey? aw, are you close? well, that‘s too bad”, kaveh faked a pout before he stopped, planting a soft kiss on your clit before he wiped off his mouth and chin from your slick. “shh, relax, baby. it‘s all good.”
alhaitham let out a particularly loud groan when he came inside your mouth, having you swallow it all. “open your mouth, sweetheart, let me see, perfect, good girl. you‘re my good girl aren‘t you sweetheart?”, alhaitham praised you for swallowing all of his cum.
“our good girl”, kaveh corrected him with a grumble, all while he was leaving soft kisses over your thighs. “i’m here, too, idiot.”
“yeah yeah”, alhaitham rolled his eyes, softly caressing your cheek with his thumb. “my focus isn’t on you today.”
“right, of course. we gotta make sure our princess feels absolutely loved and satisfied, right?”, the question was rather directed to you instead of alhaitham, kaveh was back at teasing your clit, thumb gently circling the sensitive nub.
“kaveh”, you panted, looking down at him in surprise as he slid two of his fingers inside, roughly fingering you as your body was twitching uncontrollably. the wet, squelching sounds had you cover your face in embarrassment, which al haitham didn’t like at all.
“oh, sweetheart, who told you to cover your pretty face? hands. off.”
your lips parted as you let out yet another moan, getting so close to your high until kaveh stopped again. “rude”, you muttered, adjusting your position on the bed as you grabbed alhaitham’s cock with your hand, slowly rubbing your fingers over his slit.
“what was that, honey? i didn’t quite catch that”, kaveh’s tone was deep, almost threatening in a way.
“nothing”, you replied, smiling apologetically at him. “can one of you please fuck me now?”
“demanding, aren’t we?”, alhaitham rolled his eyes, grabbing your cheeks somewhat hard to force you to look at him. “since when are you this bratty with me? do you want me to edge you until you pass out again?”
“you’re going to hurt her”, kaveh warned him.
“don’t even think of acting out like this any longer. it’s not going to work, sweetheart. and i swear i will make you regret this”, alhaitham ignored his boyfriend; absolutely in his element as the person you will always listen to. “i’ve had it with your attitude. we’ll edge you when we want and we’ll make you cum when we want to.”
kaveh was slowly feeling somewhat sorry for you – considering he slid his two fingers in again, building up a rough pace with them as he continued with his tongue circling your clit.
“mhm, baby, you’re so wet. does it turn you on being between us two, hm? one of us ain’t enough for you anymore, now are we?”, kaveh groaned against your pussy, you were getting closer and closer to your release as you came around his fingers, creamy slick covering them as he pulled them out. your eyes were teary, as you were cursing and whimpering out kaveh’s name, the orgasm being intense after being edged a couple of times. once your body calmed down from its twitching, you were turned around onto your side.
your hand was still wrapped around alhaitham’s cock, jerking him off and him moaning like that made you want him fuck you even more in that moment. “please”, you mumbled.
“please what, honey?”, kaveh asked innocently, as he and alhaitham swapped places so that alhaitham could finally fill you up whilst kaveh could take over your mouth. knowing how alhaitham had a massive thing for creampies, it seemed fair to let him paint your insides white first.
“please, fuck me”, you begged, as the scribe let himself get comfortable behind you and aligned his tip with your entrance.
“your wish is my command, princess”, alhaitham chuckled, before he buried himself deep inside of you with one hard thrust, quite easily, he had to admit. which wasn’t necessarily surprising to him considering how wet you were. your moans were muffled by kaveh’s cock in your mouth.
they managed to build up a pace that never left you empty in any way. you were drooling all over kaveh’s cock while alhaitham was fucking you with a relentless pace, not even once slowing down as he hit your g-spot and with you jerking him off before, he was already close to his second high.
his eyes rolled back as he came inside of you, your walls clamping down on him to keep his cum buried deep inside but once he pulled out, he turned you back around on your back just to watch his cum drip out of your hole.
“fuck, look how much you came”, kaveh groaned.
alhaitham collected his cum with his fingers before he thrusted his fingers back inside, not wanting to waste a single drop. “keep it all inside, baby or i’m gonna need to fill you more”, alhaitham was so desperate, unusually so. he was usually so calm and collected. alhaitham laid down next to you to catch a break, breathless.
“please”, you whimpered. “please don’t stop.”
“oh, honey, don’t worry. i still have to fuck you. you will be so fucking full of us, baby”, kaveh promised, pulling out his cock from your mouth before he was laying on top of you.
this was when kaveh’s soft side was back. he pulled you up a bit before he grabbed one of the bottles of water and placing it against your lips, having you drink a bit. “good girl”, he praised, softly kissing you in an attempt to distract you from him pushing his hard dick inside again.
the sound of skin slapping against skin was so loud, he was going so fast that he had you gushing around his cock in no time. “you’re all ours, baby. just ours”, he grunted, “just like this, baby. come for me, baby.”
“kaveh”, you cried as he as well filled you up with his cum, up to the brim, just like they promised. you were so full of their cum that it was already coating his cock all the while it was dripping out of your hole when he was pulling out.
his breathing was so erratic once he released deep inside of you, everything was so messy as he pulled out. he even thought you passed out for a moment, but he wasn’t really sure.
“you’re such a beautiful mess for me, baby. want me to fill you up again?”, he asked, mumbling as he kissed you sweetly.
you were shaking your head, not having the energy to have yet another orgasm. “please, give me a break”, you begged, alhaitham only chuckling at how weak your voice was.
“aw, babe, of course. you deserve this”, kaveh mumbled, “i’m so proud of you, baby.”
you couldn’t help the little smile on your lips as alhaitham came back into the room – you hadn’t even noticed him leaving – with some snacks in his hands. “you did so good for us both, honey”, alhaitham praised you, something that rarely happened because he was the type to care for your sore body with cuddles instead of words.
“this was definitely a good idea”, you yawned, grabbing one of the chocolate bars alhaitham had brought with him. both of them chuckled, as kaveh put the blanket on your body so that you wouldn’t feel cold.
“i agree”, both your boyfriends replied in unison and the stare they gave each other made you laugh out loud.
“idiots”, you mumbled. probably not your best idea because both of them were still ready to proceed with your sweet torture, since they had only stopped to give you a break. alhaitham raised his brow, questioning your ability to make smart decisions because clearly, you weren’t able to. otherwise you would remember what type of lover alhaitham was.
it was too late for apologies as kaveh had you trembling in overstimulation as alhaitham put up a caring facade, making you cry out as everything went white once more.

Alhaitham and Kaveh
The Grand Scribe and The Light of Kshahrewar, both of them are both geniuses yet their ideals couldn't be any more father from each other, standing on two opposite ends on a spectrum.
Yet, the fact that the both of them are opposites that pull them close together. They’re mirrors of each other and reflections of relationships long since buried in the sands of Sumeru’s history.
Tumblr media
Let's talk about mirrors
Both Kaveh and Alhaitham share the same motif of mirrors, Alhaitham using them in his attacks and Kaveh being called "an excellent mirror" by the former, as well as receiving the title "Empyrean Reflection" in his introduction. There is obvious Light symbolism in that too, but we'll touch upon that later.
Mirrors create this dichotomy that comes with the two images that a mirrors needs in order to work: The Subject and the Reflection
An obvious example is Kaveh being Alhaitham's Reflection, with Alhaitham the Subject
Tumblr media
Mirrors are meant to reflect someone and reveal more about them that they weren't able to perceive themselves. Kaveh may have conflicting ideas towards life when compared to Alhaitham's, but it is that unique point of view that only Kaveh has access to can Alhaitham use to contemplate and review his own thoughts and gain more insight from things he never gave thought to by just interacting with his roommate.
By giving Kaveh a space to exist as himself can Alhaitham see more light.
This could work vice-versa as well, putting Kaveh as the Subject. As we don't have much information on him as this is being written, Alhaitham has given the Traveler insight to the kind of person he is through his voice lines:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Through his interactions with Kaveh, Alhaitham can serve as his reflection and reveal some information about Kaveh's character before we properly get to meet him. We get to learn that he's a caring yet reckless person who's driven more by emotion in contrast to Alhaitham's logic-driven mind. He also implies that he has a strong passion for his trade as he works well into the night on a project.
Though it is the bare minimum, it's still much more info we get on him compared to any other character that mentions him.
It's also cute that Alhaitham has four voice lines dedicated to Kaveh.
Tumblr media
Let’s bring back aspects for a minute here. As previously discussed in both Alhaitham’s and Sumeru’s analyses, Light is the aspect of Knowledge and Relevance which follow both of these two men throughout the story thus far.
Both in titles such as Light of Kshahrewar or The Grand Scribe.
And story wise, with Alhaitham being constantly put under the limelight, especially during the Archon Quests, and Kaveh, that if you ask around is already a prominent figure in Sumerian society.
But they also reflect this attention onto each other. After the Archon Quest, if prompted, Alhaitham will just randomly tell the Traveler that he took Kaveh's keys again long before they even know who he's talking about.
Tumblr media
May I add on that Kaveh does not want anyone to know that he lives with Alhaitham, panicking when Paimon says that he looked familiar?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Speaking of Kaveh, he's known to bring attention to the both of them through their arguments making it out to the message boards across the country.
Tumblr media
Just one out of many arguments Kaveh has with him in public.
Alhaitham and Kaveh don't emit the Light aspect, the aspect comes for them and they redirect elsewhere. Like mirrors, they reflect light that shines down on them and illuminates something else.
So if both of them can reflect that light onto each other, what else can they reveal by shining that light somewhere else?
Tumblr media
Let's take a look at Kaveh's second title that was given to him in his introduction: Empyrean Reflection.
The word "Empyrean" is an adjective that describes someone or something as ethereal or related to the sky above; heavenly or even celestial. So describing Kaveh as an "Empyrean Reflection" would mean that Kaveh is a reflection of something Godly, perhaps even of Celestial nature.
Kaveh's aspect is Space first and foremost. Associated with the stars and the sky above, it's the one of most important aspects in Homestuck's story. It's the aspect of creation and birth, bringing something new into the world. The aspect of motherhood, introducing brand new life and allowing and helping it to thrive. This would instate Kaveh as a sort of Genesis figure along with the other Space players in Homestuck, especially Kanaya and Porrim Maryam.
Tumblr media
Kanaya was responsible for the rebirth of her species while her Dancestor Porrim was supposed to help with her society's propagation, making them both mother figures. From what we've seen of Kaveh so far, he seems to have the foundations of following this trend, making spaces filled with gardens for flowers and creatures to live in. So how does Kaveh being a mother figure have to do with anything?
In Sumeru's history, there were three gods that ruled the Nation of Wisdom. One of these gods being Nabu Malikata, also known as the Goddess of Flowers. She was a a Seelie casted from Celestia, Genshin's equivalent to heaven, and brought down to Teyvat. She found herself in the desert and everywhere she went, she sprouted life and gave birth to new beings in the new environment she created.
Tumblr media
If "Empyrean Reflection" can be translated to "Reflection of Celestia", then Kaveh is a reflection of the Goddess of Flowers. If Kaveh is a reflection, then the subject, Nabu Malikata, can reveal more about him and vice versa.
Leaks up ahead!!!!
Kaveh has a talent named "Pairidaeza's Dreams". Pairidaeza is also the name of the Eternal Oasis that King Deshret, another god who ruled Sumeru, created for Nabu Malikata as her grave. Deshret had claimed that she wasn't actually dead, but sleeping and dreaming.
If the Goddess of Flowers is in Pairidaeza asleep, then that would make Kaveh her dream manifested, a walking and talking fantasy around Sumeru.
It would explain why Kaveh was stated to never had any family. Kaveh is her creation, whether that mean he's either her son or her reincarnation is up for interpretation. But this then raises another question: What is the meaning of Kaveh's existence? What does it mean to be Pairidaeza's Dream?
Kaveh's ascension materials include a Mouring Flower, a flower in which it's said to only bloom in places of great loss and mourning. It specifically states that its petals droop for the innocents and heroes lost during a certain calamaty:
Tumblr media
So this make's Kaveh tied to the Scarlet King as well, well, more like to the chaos pain he has caused to his own civilization. But why is he connected to a flower that symbolizes loss and tragedy of the Scarlet King that the Goddess of Flowers hasn't partaken in?
Well, this leads us to The Mourning King, King Deshret
Tumblr media
King Deshret dearly loved Nabu Malikata, but it was uncertain whether if she reciprocated he feelings or not. Regardless, her fate ends the same: She dies likely by her own hand so that the Void caused by her death would preserve her memory forever.
Tumblr media
It worked, it worked way too well that it sent Deshret into a madness seeded from grief, trying to create a paradise free from suffering and made with his denial; trying to make a world that she would've wanted.
Tumblr media
In that denial-filled pursuit, he bequeathed divine knowledge that mortals could never hope to understand, filling her Void with Light. He created calamity and drove his people mad just like him and many have perished from his disaster. A mistake he would regret deeply.
He makes the choice to sacrifice himself in the effort to eradicate the Divine Knowledge from Sumeru, leaving the final god Greater Lord Rukkhadevata to look after it.
Kind Deshret had tried to guide his people into a greater society through gifting them knowledge that only served to destroy them. You could say that he is trying to roleplay as a Seer of Light but was unable to provide them with the guidance to lead his people to a fortuitous future.
But you know who's able to and did lead his people for the betterment of Sumeu?
Tumblr media
Alhaitham is what King Deshret wished to be, his ideal mirror. Alhaitham is a competent leader and was able to lead his nation into a new age of wisdom and discovery by freeing Nahida, something that King Deshret had failed to do.
Perhaps Alhaitham's existence is in a similar vein to Kaveh's. Reborn from regret, Alhaitham served to be a different version of the Scarlet King. A version where he would be able to see past the murky void of emotions that tugged his heart to and fro.
But that was only half of what fate had written for him.
Tumblr media
Kaveh was born from the regret of Nabu Malikata. A remedy that sprouted from her Orchard for the great wound she has created and led to the downfall of Ay-Khanoum. Her bitterness was felt and the Scarlet King had paid the price for it. The mourning flowers were her tears and Kaveh was a vessel for her to express what she wanted to be: Someone who could express emotions and love without consequence of deteriorating away, someone who could be... happier in this life. Kaveh was her reflection, her dream. All of which Kaveh was unknown to.
Alhaitham, whether he knew or not, was rebirthed from Deshret due to a desire to be better that he was millennia ago. This time, he wouldn't let emotions such as grief or despair fog his judgement so he can be a better leader for his friends and people. He had made too many mistakes as a god, so perhaps as a mortal he can begin to rectify them.
But deep down within him, there was an unconscious sorrow that grew from the fact that he would never be able to do anything for the Goddess of Flowers herself in this life as a way to apologies for his shortcomings as a god king and throwing the civilization they built together into ruin.
But most importantly though, if even if she would never forgive him...
He would just like to see her one last time.
Funny how the threads of desires and destiny of two beings could be weaved intimately with each other and reunite them in a tale of which they find redemption within each other.
In the present day, they live together as roommates. They’re drawn to each other; Kaveh’s lights his home with his voice and the sounds of him working away at his projects while Alhaitham fills their space with the books he’s brought and ugly decor Kaveh knows he bought just to annoy him.
They often disagree with each other in their personalities and ideals towards life, and their lives are a ways off of what they’d prefer, but despite that they’re together under the same roof. There’s inexplicable comfort and satisfaction found within each others’ presence and they wouldn’t have it any other way.
Tumblr media
Fin.
Aaaaaand this is the fourth and final part of my Kavetham/Haikaveh analysis! Surprisingly not as classpect centric as I thought it’d be but it was still fun 2 analyze their relationship using other concepts from the motifs that surrounded them.
Might reword some things once I’m a lil more awake lol.
