God, this took me way too long...xD

After days of work I finally finished the challenge that I set for myself: Sending out props to a lot of artist here on tumblr that I really enjoy! (Actually there are way waaay more people, but I really had to set myself a limit, I'm sorry fellas ;w; I still love you!)

These people inspire me every day with their creative concepts, stories, humor and passion for art and give me the drive to continue drawing myself. With this little collection I wanted to say "thank you" for all that you do and create. You rock, guys!

(I really hope I didn't mess up any of the tags and I apologize if I might fu**ed up your designs/characters ;3; I know I'm not the best in proportions and all, but I really tried. <w<´´ Also I really hope Tumblr compresses the text by itself, so that you don't get smacked by this wall of text. @alice-the-demon - with Vittoria ( I was first thinking of drawing Archangel Peppino, since this guy is the softness itself, buuuut I have to admit that I love the lively and passionate personality of Vittoria. She is great -w- )

@misdreavusplush - with Eyelashes ( I can't help it. I saw that character and was in awe. How adorable can you be?? I was barely able to draw her eyes as pretty as they are xD <3 )

@creature-of-pizza - with Pepp ( Seriously, the idea to see a "Fake Peppino" with more cat dna is such a win for me. He is dynamic, sassy, derpy and so damn cool! >w< Also love how colorful their pictures are.)

@eskariolis-con-salsa - with Gnocchi (I was thinking about drawing their version of Fake Peppino first, but...*looks at picture* ...let's be honest, you can't get pass that little guy. ;w; He purifies my soul. Have some soap, little guy.)

@oddpizza - with Caramel Jam aka CJ (Such a creative and powerful character! I've seen so many artworks of them and I adore them. You need more joyful people like this ^^)

@pizza-tower-secrets - with Lycheecheechee ( A small, adorable bundle full of surprises and of course secrets! I love their drive and colorful design. Simply a delight! :3 )

@rhaytronik - with Red ( A dynamic and enjoyable character with their love for adventures! Not only a great character but also the Pizzasona of my best friend. Thanks to them I was brave enough to start a tumblr account myself. So thank you for being there for me <3 )

@cutechan555 - with Mage Gustavo (To be honest, I had a very hard time to pick a character here, since their account is full of stories and ideas. I chose mage Gustavo, since I love his design and story. I'm currently into "Delicious in Dungeon" and to imagine that he goes dungeon crawling with his bros to safe Peppino is such a cool idea XD)

@bigbeastcyruspt - with Trion (I have to be honest, at first I was very startled of Trion, since his design is very mighty and scary. I mean, it's his chase form after all. But the more I learned about him, the more I grew to like him. Very damn cool design! Also couldn't help to add dah baby ;w;)

@lunar-dal - with Pizza Cruise Peppino (Another au I simply adore! The design of the characters is colorful and bright, and to imagine Peppino as a singing gondolier brings me great joy. Also I'm a big fan of otter Brick ;w; )

@smalltimidbean - with Pea Pod, Sugar Snap Pea and Snow Pea (Believe me, I never before had such a hard time to pick ONE of so many wonderful Peppi clones! THAT was torture XD But in the end I guess I picked my favorite. Such a tired, but very cute one. Not to forget about the little ones <3 To draw a PT character with 4 fingers and 2 thumbs on one hand was quite a challenge lol )

@tinderboxofsillyideas - with Coffee Peppino (Probably one of the most adorable au versions of Peppino. Seriously, if I had the chance to get my coffee in his café, I totally would! Give that guy all the tips! <3 First thought of drawing their wizard Peppino version, but the adorable barista won lol)

@xbeih - with Metal Peppino (One of the first au's I started following. Seriously, how cool can one person be?? I mean, the whole au is amazing and I enjoy every person in it. But damn...Peppino takes the cake. ówo He is so badass, you can't imagine <w< Also I'm very sorry, it was my first time drawing a guitar and aaaaaaa )

THINGS THAT WERE GOOD IN THE ORIGINAL "DISGAEA: HOUR OF DARKNESS:" This game helped further popularize the trope of "this is an ADULT demon fellas it just incidentally looks 13 ;)" and ran with that even more as the series went on, but in my late teens I had a lot of fun with the game itself and the following things were great:

This unbeatable ghost design, look at that face

I thought the "treant" was really cool!

The badass pumpkinhead monster type that's always smoking. Of course a pumpkinhead smokes!! Its basic attack animation had it take the cigarette out and hold it out of the way while it stabbed with a big ass knife. Amazing.

The generic male dark mage just called a "skull," with his outfit sewn into him?! He was voice acted with weird "MMMMPH!!!" noises because of his face stitched shut. DO NOT look up what they did to this design in later installments.

The shark dragons oddly translated as "serpents"

It wasn't even normal in-universe for a succubus to look like a prepubescent kid and the normal succubi performed all bite and drain attacks with a hidden snake head that morphed out of their tails; biologically speaking that makes it their "real mouth" doesn't it??? But then what's that make the one on their humanoid head :( Is this a situation where the whole creature is backwards and the "tail" is even the real head or are they like girafarig with a brain at both ends?! Anyway they don't let you put away the core main characters, but I actually had them hang back and stubbornly played the whole game with a Halloweeny Monster team of just all these.

I guess the series mascots the Prinnies bear mentioning because if you didn't know what was up with them, these weird peg-legged penguin dolls, which explode when anyone throws them, are canonically the vessels human souls or defeated demons have to occupy in hell. I don't know if there's a Japanese pun behind their concept or it was just a lolrandom marketable animal

Kung Fu Panda 4 Thoughts/Liveblog Thing

Just caught this at the theater for a grand total of five whole dollars, so I thought I'd do some quick opinions while it's fresh.

Non-spoiler opinion: It was Okay(TM), but the movies were considerably stronger as a trilogy. It's worth seeing one (1) time if you're a KFP fan (and really, who isn't), but I wouldn't bother paying full price for it or anything

SPOILERS FOR ALL 4 MOVIES UNDER THE CUT:

A list of things that slap:

The animation is stunning and fast-paced. Really loved the use of Chinese-style paint brush strokes to accentuate the action

Also I'll talk about the 5 later but I also really liked the animation change when describing where they are—all KFP movies have at least one animation shift and I'm glad this one kept up with it

Some of the fight scenes were super good, I liked the one that uses the tilting bar on a cliff in particular

(side note: the Missing Link did something similar, just on a ship. Go watch the Missing Link)

The Chameleon served straight cunt the entire time she was on screen and I kind of loved (almost) everything about her. Character design was incredible, voice was perfect, palace design was amazing, abilities were sick

Also the way she rides up chilling in a golden tree branch of all things? Fellas, we have no choice but to stan

Also I just appreciate the choice to both do a female villain for a change and to get a reptile in here after having only mammals and one (1) bird as villains previously

Speaking of character design there were a few really good ones in there, like a pangolin that moves Sonic the Hedgehog-style, a cool looking female boar, and a bunch of Komodo dragon henchmen. Good stuff

The jokes were a very mixed bag for me, some hit and some didn't. I will say that Zhen just going "that's great for you" in response to Shifu stating he's a red panda got me for some reason

If anyone hurts Po's gay dads I'm killing everyone in this room and then myself

Jack Black's cover of Baby One (1) More Time is unironically better than the original

A list of things that Do Not Slap:

Pacing/Plot:

This movie lacked a color scheme? KFP 1 was blue (also some gold), KFP 2 was red, KFP 3 was green. These colors weren't subtle either, there are entire scenes in each movie drenched in these colors and it was really obviously missing here

The whole first half the movie feels really breathless and too fast-paced. Apparently it was a studio mandate to have it not go over an hour and a half which is A) stupid and B) hurts the pacing

As much as I love Po's two gay dads we REALLY should not have been wasting time on their journey when the runtime is so tight

Also them tagging along felt off? Mr. Ping was worried sick about Po in KFP 2 but he doesn't tag alone because obviously he needs to let his son have his space. It's more in-character with Li Shan but it doesn't come across like he's talking Mr. Ping into it or something

In general there are so many plot points in this movie that feel under-developed. You could've made an entire movie out of the previous villains returning, Zhen and the Chameleon's relationship (see below), etc.

Po's Character:

People not knowing Po is the dragon warrior is weird, I'm pretty sure he would've been more well known than that

The entire thing with Po needing to give up his role as the Dragon Warrior doesn't really make sense? The Dragon Warrior is literally a made-up title. There's no need to have a Dragon Warrior because there is no such thing technically, it's why Oogway denied Tai Lung the title and then waited years and years to give it to Po. Like it's not a role that needs to be passed down, that's missing the entire point of the Everything

Also Po's only been like Dragon Warrior for a few years? I don't think we're ever given a time scale but it wasn't that long

The jokes about Shifu and Po having trouble with inner peace/mediating feels off given that was the entire plot of the second movie

It felt like Po regressed a bit character wise. He acts like he has no idea how to be a teacher in this movie but he already was a teacher by the end of the third, that was the entire point??

Also he seemed like he was more gullible in this movie but I could be wrong

Why is Po so impressed with Juniper city. He literally spent most of KFP 2 in Gongmen hello?? I think(?) Juniper is bigger but he shouldn't be acting like he has no idea what a city is

Zhen/Chameleon:

Zhen's character design doesn't match anything else, which is weird because most of the new characters in this film keep the distinct style in some form or another

Her wanted poster shows her with the bold markings KFP is known for and it looks SO much better

The plot twist with Zhen working for the villain was so obvious I did not realize it was supposed to be a twist at first

Also, the entire thing with Zhen was entirely unneeded? The Chameleon could've just just stood up and announced her plan to take over and Po would've shown up on her doorstep with the staff

I guess the idea is that Po needed to hand over the staff willingly for it to work? But if that's the case the Chameleon could've just impersonated Tigress or something and gotten it that way in like 1/3 of the time

Originally she was supposed to have kidnapped Shifu which would've been a much better plot point as it would've given Po extra motivation

The other problem with treating Zhen as a plot twist is that it hampers the relationship she has with the Chameleon effectively being her mom, which is FASCINATING. They had some really interesting chemistry together (the whole "stand up straight" thing as one example) and I could've seen it as a Mother Gospel from Tangled kind of deal, but we barely get any interaction between the two and it's like AAAAAAA

Fanfic writers fix this shit. I believe in you

I'll have to chew on it more but my pacing thought would actually be to start with Po finding out about the Chameleon's "take over everything" plan very early due to Shifu's kidnapping. He breaks into the lair like at the 1/3 mark or earlier and he meets Zhen inside which then leads into why she's doing what she's doing and the mother angle, etc etc blah blah

The Chameleon needed to just straight-up murder someone, comically shoving them down the stairs isn't good enough. I know stairs are Po's greatest enemy but I don't think that applies to everyone

Shen was allowed to stab someone on-screen so I think the Chameleon should be a allowed to strangle someone or something. as a treat

If violence was the concern just keep it off-screen like Master Rhino's death in KFP 2

The shapeshifter turning into a giant monster trope is overrated and I'm glad it was just used briefly here and not even for her defeat

Also the Chameleon's thing with her being rejected from Kung Fu because she's too small makes no sense b/c Mantis, which I'm pretty sure everyone's pointed out already. She does say "lowly" I think but was she ever poor? Could make a very interested parallel to Zhen if that was the case but it was never brought up again

I've heard some argue body image parallels w/ Po in KFP 1 but if that was the intent it's not explored, like, at all, which is a shame because it could've been an interesting angle

Also If they wanted a better excuse related to body image just say she was too frail instead of too small. I haven't owned chameleons but I've heard from people who have that they are very frail and very hard to keep alive, which would be a much better reason to turn her away

Cameos:

Yes I'm devoting an entire section to five second cameos don't judge me

I have mixed feelings on the Five not being present (save for the end cameos). On the one hand they are sorely missed but on the other hand they would've just made the plot bloat even worse

Lack of speaking was also bothersome. Part of me is glad they weren't recast with cheaper VAs because it's disrespectful to interchange them, but on the other hand that might've been better than just not having them speak and not paying anyone anyway

Tai Lung had all the best lines and was also the best used out of all the cameos, even if it would've been nice to have him on screen for longer. Also if they stuck with Shifu being kidnapped those two could've had some much-needed dialogue

Side note, while I don't think it contradicts anything from KFP 3 the spirit world having only kung fu masters in it feels off? It makes it seem so small and limited

Kai being there is weird. He's like. dead dead. Deader than dead. I guess you could argue that you can't kill something that's already dead but there's nothing even acknowledging this

Trying to take Shen's kung fu is really weird because the entire point of the fight with Master Rhino in KFP 2 is that he is not? a master?? like he's GOOD but he's not amazing, like if a master is like a 10/10 he's like an 8/10.

"The Chameleon has the powers of all my old nemesises!" WHAT'S SHEN'S POWER EXACTLY. HIS ONLY POWERS ARE GUN AND MOMMY/DADDY ISSUES

She does summon him way later than Tai Lung and Kai so maybe she was just camp spawning every single person she could think of regardless of skill level? she also uses his wings at one point so maybe she just wanted those, I don't think(?) there were other birds summoned

Though speaking of which she claimed she was using his wings but very clearly wasn't? not only were they black but they were raggedy and lacked the five longer feathers on the tips

Also Shen's model was super off, it looked way too fluffy and like an entire row of eyespots were missing from the edge of the train (which might have been a clipping error? unsure) it's been said the new models were made out of glue and popsical sticks and I believe it

Tai Lung has a habit of just like Grabbing anyone that's smaller than him and it amuses me

It's honestly really weird that everyone would just agree to go back into the spirit world willingly?

Like I think it works for Tai Lung because he's a noble person who just goes into a disassociative state and commits atrocities. Like I think he'd be willing to accept his death

Also it checks out for Shen because he killed himself and given his "dead belong in the past" mentality I can't imagine him wanting to stick around, he'd probably think it was unnatural

But Kai?? Kai was FURIOUS at being dragged back into the spirit world at the end of 3, like hell he'd just go quietly

Also I can see Tai Lung maybe respecting Po enough to bow to him but everyone else is pushing it unless they have therapists in the spirit world. Po offered Shen some nice advice at the end of KFP 2 and his response was to kill himself on the spot, I don't think him or Kai would be bowing

All of them were definitely in the middle of a mahjong match and were experiencing the equivalent of being woken up in the middle of a nap so they were just going along with things

Chameleon: I'm going to steal your kung fu

I did like some of the more subtle callbacks. Stuff like Po seeing his reflection in the blade the way Shifu did or the "I can't even beat you to the stairs" scene were nice and not overly overt or in-your-face

If Po actively refers to himself as the "Kung Fu Panda" one more time I'm going to end it all

MONGRELTOWN MISCHIEF: NEW REDESIGNS & SOME STORY INFO

as much as i love my initial designs of the rat & rabbit duo, i had to scrap them because they ended up not really matching the vibe of the setting i came up with.

so here are the new ones! plus there's a cat fella now, but as you can see, it's Julius, not Pete! don't worry, soon you'll see him too.

now, i've been working on the actual story of MM, and here's what i have so far. warning for very brief mentions of death, drowning, and criminal stuff, i guess.

Willie and Julius make up the crew of a steamboat named "Iron Will". Julius is the captain, he's in charge of navigation, keeping track of the resources, paperwork and other important stuff. He might come off as rude and harsh, even overbearing at times, but it's only because he takes his job very seriously and just generally has a lot of things to be worried about. Julius is very responsible, and he's got a kind heart and a great sense of humor.

Willie is a deckhand, pretty much doing the dirty work. They're a cheerful, rambunctious scamp, who's clearly hiding some inner turmoil behind their silly jokes and crazy antics. Often described by others as childish and reckless, it has a hard time keeping up with society's demands and expectations. (hey, Willie's canonically autistic, if you're wondering. he just like me fr.)

Willie and Julius rarely, if ever, get along. But despite their constant banter and bickering, they try their best to look out for each other. They both detest their job and the man they work for. Who is none other than the ruthless and fearsome crime lord Pete Bullet, boss of the local mafia. Aside from various cargo transportation, he often tasks them with disposing of evidence or carrying out executions. So the actual plot of the story basically starts with the Iron Will's crew having to kill a guy. You know, tie him to some concrete blocks and let him go for a swim. The issue is, they CAN'T do that. Because that guy turns out to be Willie's long lost brother Lucky! Thus, start the glorious misadventures of our critters, as they decide to claim the boat for themselves and try to escape the wrath of the mob.

So, about that "A Steampunk Carol" graphic novel...

I totally did not forget to make the post about it like I promised I am so sorry.

For those who are not familiar with it, long story short a while ago I came across a Kickstarter project for what seemed to be a steampunk adaptation of the Nutcracker story and was bummed that I missed out on it and wasn't able to support and secure a copy for myself, but a fella made me aware that it did actually get published in Italy a few years ago, and that it was sold on Amazon. And after discovering that there was literally only one copy left, I bought it on a whim to both read it and to hopefully attract more attention to it for reasons I'll discuss in just a bit.

I'm just going to say that I'm very back at writing reviews so apologies if this doesn't say anything at the end or if you didn't get the answers to your questions dkfjgn

Alright, now for the book itself.

First things first, the story. I won't go into details right now as I do not want to spoil folks in case this does get released in english to a wider public, but I can add a Spoilers section in the future where I explain in detail what happens if I get asked about it.

The story, like I said, is an adaptation of the Nutcracker And The Mouse King, but it is quite different in many elements, and spices things up quite a bit, especially after the introduction.

Sadly it feels quite rushed in its execution imo, I assume it's because they had to fit everything in a single volume. Which is a shame because there are many concepts and ideas that are very fascinating and interesting, both for the plot and for the characters themselves.

Speaking of the characters, they are quite unique and interesting.

The main kid, Caitlin, who is the Clara/Marie of the story, can be a little sassy, but she still feels grounded and has a good balance between putting down her foot and being nervous about the situation. I don't mind her character.

The Nutcracker, who is only called Schiaccia (just a shortened "Schiaccianoci" which is nutcracker in italian. I assume he's called Cracker in english if they kept that logic), feels solid. He's a loyal soldier, skilled but does show hints of insecurities. A good lad.

The mice are great as well, I'm really intrigued by the lore they cooked up for them, and the Mouse King is actually not bad, and I like what they did with his character.

There's also another supporting character, a tin soldier who goes by Sergeant Idle. He is basically a companion to the Nutcracker. He is basically a plot tool, helping with the backstory and moving the story forward, but not in a bad way. He's very enjoyable.

I would have loved to see them all explored further, but like I said it all feels rushed probably because it had to stick all in a single volume. I don't know if the authors ever considered this to become a series or if it's just a one-shot story, but I would honestly love to see this evolve into a series, if only because I love the characters and I would love to know more about the lore they cooked up for it more in detail, letting all the elements have the time to shine.

Moving on to the graphic...

I love Lorenza's art style. It looks very sketchy, with a clean roughness to it if that makes sense. And I really like all the designs of the characters.

(Apologies for the glares, I tried my hardest to limit them as much as possible. also ngl I'm giggling a little seeing how Schiaccia looks similar to my Hans skdfkjhn)

All in all, I really like this adaptation. It's unique and enjoyable, if only a little rushed.

Like I mentioned before, this was Kickstarted a while ago to get properly published in english. It was successfully funded and as far as I know, they're currently in the process of printing copies if not even shipping them for the backers. I still don't know if the folks at Last Ember Press are planning in making it available to purchase outsite the Kickstart, but I really hope so because I do think this deserves to be available to everyone.

saw the barbie movie and am finally free to be a Hater on main without being accused of criticizing something without having watched it- anyway here is a non-exhaustive list of my Thoughts

this movie could have been nothing but fun dance numbers :(

i will say.........i like the costumes and barbieland set design. comparatively the way the real world is shot is so drab and visually uninteresting imo which. i don't feel is great given how much time we spend in it and that barbie ends up living there

the fact that barbies are supposedly affected by the people playing with them but they all act like..... That. just how shallow do they think kids imaginations are? why is there only one "weird" barbie???

admittedly i've never been to LA so maybe i'm completely off-base here but am i expected to believe that ken is automatically respected and admired (but not ogled! with no undertones of violence!) just for existing while my man is constantly dressed like he walked straight from a pride parade

on that note there was a lot of queer subtext/references but it was all very... wink wink nudge nudge in a way that honestly felt a little, idk, uncomfortable to me? but nothing overtly inclusive or even that subversive really

like with the construction workers scene i honestly can't tell if this was meant to be a trans positive moment or just a joke about them being dolls but if so it's like. you have these sexist catcallers but they support trans identities...? literally just as incoherent as everything else going on in this movie

why is barbie simply allowed to walk right into a school cafeteria

gloria and her daughter's relationship and the conflict between them was... very ill defined aside from the apparently all consuming and ever present suffocation of Womanhood™ like wtf is with sasha's line about hating women being the one thing everyone agrees on???? it's the kind of pseudo-pithy cynicism-laced quote that i would expect from a bitter 50s housewife or aging hollywood star, not a teenage girl who, idk, overuses buzzwords?

actually come to think of it pretty much all the female relationships in this movie are very surface-level and hinge almost exclusively on their shared gender identity and not much else!

the fact that all of the barbies were brainwashed to the point where they couldn't even remember their own achievements from ken mansplaining the patriarchy to them.......... and the fact that this is """explained""" with a fucked up and insensitive smallpox joke......... i am mad enough to spit tacks actually

pretty much the only thing i could think of during gloria's big feminist speech and subsequent appeals to the brainwashed barbies is that nothing she's saying actually applies to any of the dolls' experiences "You have to be their mommies but not remind them of their mommy." they don't have parents gloria

the use of push by matchbox twenty in the context of the movie sure is a Choice, seeing as the singer based it off a relationship where he was being emotionally abused by his girlfriend but had the lyrics widely misinterpreted as misogynistic.... anyway.

the way that all of the kens (and even allan) resort to violence and all of the barbies defeat them using manipulation and ~feminine wiles~.. thanks i hate it

i did like how the kens seemed to overcome their differences through singing and holding hands. also fellas is it toxic masculinity to want your girlfriend To see the man behind the tan / And fight for me?

confused by ken's "kenough" revelation from talking to barbie because he.... literally just sang all of that? I’m just Ken / And I’m enough / And I’m great at doing stuff / So, hey, check me out / Yeah, I’m just Ken is that all supposed to be just bravado? it's the same message but he needed barbie to articulate it to him for it to sink in. hm.

feel like barbie's motives for wanting to live in the real world could have been explored better because tbh... the pitch wasn't great!

Nor whatever cool promotional "bears" they've got on display. You're just gonna have a quick look for old times sake and...

What's this? This display plushie that now holds your full attention infront of a bin of others just like it, though the skins are yet to be filled with fluff.

A cartoony soft version of Your space marine, stares back at you.

The detailing is pretty great for a mass produced corporate product made to entice children into begging their parents for it. Perhaps the design team consulted a Blood Angel or Emperor's Children. You could imagine an Iron Warrior or Ultramarine being contacted for the logistics.

You feel a deep, yearning in the pit of your soul. Like your inner child is pleading with big puppy eyes. You begin to reach into the bin of unmade plushies.

NO! You are Stronger than this. You do not Need an overpriced plush. You've got the real deal right beside you.

You hurriedly pull back. You're leaving right now and your inner child will have to find something else to ask for. Something more reasonable.

"Come on buddy, I think we need to head...home...?" A gauntlet clad hand reaches past you, pulling out one of the unmade dolls.

Your Space Marine doesn't say a word, seemingly examining his miniature self.

Eventually, his gaze does turn back to you.

"Don't give me that look..." He gives you exactly That look. Can Space Marines do puppy eyes? Well you're not sure you'd call it that but your stubbornness softens regardless. Perhaps you're too tender for him, but really what's the harm in indulging your inner child now and again? "...well...if you really want to."

You both walk out an hour or so later with a few accessories, a "build certificate", and a newly adopted Astarte you cheerful dub, Lil Fella. In honor of your Big Fella.

Now the Astarte type here is unspecified, but I want to know what your favorite legions do once Lil Fella gets brought home. How do they get the little guy in on their usual Astarte shenanigans in your opinion?

No one tells you that night lords like their macabre crafts as you soon find the small plush with tiny bits of leather, you don't know where he got it from, stylized in the shape of a tiny bear face, stretched like skin and tiny needle felted bones adorning its armor.

Your word bearer got out a sewing kit and started to sew symbols on the cloth armor. The black and gold thread looking so good but certain symbols look so precisely sewn. You don't bother to ask questions.

Your blood angel got them a pretty pair of angel wings and the blonde bear in the armor... he just likes to hold it when he feels anxious.

Scott's World of Tomorrow

It was February 1956, a young Scott Heyward had just turned 16 years old. His father, Duster Heyward of Heyward Oil is about to spoil him.

"Well son taday's yer birthday. What do ya wanna do?"

"Can we go to Disneyland Pa? They have a whole section called Tomorrowland and a race car track called Autopia."

Mr. Heyward smiles as he claps Scott's shoulder.

"Tha's mah boy. Disneyland's gonna be a great client ta have. Can't be runnin no rides without oil."

"Yeah and maybe if they have real cars there I can take some notes for the research department."

Mr. Heyward chuckles as he goes to the phone.

"Ah'll just let yer tutor know yer goin on a field trip. That oughta make 'em happy yer doin yer science project."

"Ok, Pa."

Time Skip

"Alright then son. Ah'm gonna be talk with some a Disney's people. They said some fella named Bob Gurr's gonna be walkin ya through Autopia."

"Wow. Thanks Pa!"

Scott sits down on a bench with his camera and notepad. A young man his 20s approaches him.

"Are you Scott Heyward?"

"Yes. Are you Mr. Gurr?"

"That I am. Just call me Bob today. It's really an honor to have you and father come to the park today."

The two shake hands and start to walk to Tomorrowland.

"Now as you can see, the Moonliner was designed by one of my colleagues, John Hench and of course sponsored by Howard Hughes of Trans World Airlines."

Scott takes some pictures as they walk through the attraction. They get to the Monsanto Hall of Chemistry.

"Are you familiar with Monsanto, Scott?"

"Oh yes. I was only 7 when they had that explosion down in Texas City. Pa sent a crew to bring oil down to the site. He managed to get a deal where we can have a couple ships down at the port."

Bob nods. Eventually they make it to Autopia.

"Now this is what I helped design. I used what I learned from working with Ford."

"You worked with Ford? What did you do?"

"Well I helped design the Lincoln Continental. I published a few books on automotive design and that's what brought Mr. Disney's attention over to me. He wanted me to analyze the chassis for these cars. Originally designed by Hartmann Engineering, they were having issues regarding the ability to be mass produced. Too noisy and smokey with a lot of vibration. Eventually the company dropped out so I was brought on permanently to come up with a different design."

Scott's writing all of this down the best he can. Mr. Gurr's slowly turning into an idol.

"So where did you get the design for the cars? They don't look like anything I've ever seen."

"Take a closer look. If you're familiar with Porsche, I took the idea of their 54 550 Spyder and combined it with the recent custom made Italian Ferraris. Of course the Chevrolet Corvette also served as inspiration."

"Wow."

Bob continues telling his story. Scott listens to every word including everything about engineering he has yet to learn.

"What make are these cars now?"

"Currently these are the Mark II's. I had to fix the chassis so they can accommodate a sturdier, smoother-running engine. We've been getting a lot of youngsters so it was necessary to add booster seats and extensions on the peddles. I just finished a prototype for the Mark III and already started work on the Mark IVs"

"Why? What's wrong with these models?"

"Longevity and ease of repair. With how popular this attraction is getting it's only a matter of time before these cars will need repairing. Every month we're learning something new about what people like and don't like about the car. Just goes to show that even when a product is a success, there's still a lot that needs to be done to perfect it."

Scott writes this down as Bob finishes talking.

"Would you like to ride in one of these, Scott?"

"Yes! I'd love to."

Bob chuckles as they wait in line to ride in one of the cars.

Time Skip

"How was yer trip son?"

"I loved it Pa. Mr. Gurr let me take so many pictures and showed me all of Tomorrowland."

Mr. Heyward smiles as they make their way back to Texas. Scott would recite his notes and Bob's story. His father could only nod along as he never really got into the science side of business.

"Well Ah bet yer science project'll turn out real good."

"Oh yeah Pa. Until science finds a better way, everything needs oil. Even the rockets."

"Thatta boy. Yer gonna be takin Heyward Oil inta space."

Scott smiles and sits back in his seat. He starts to fantasize about making his own world of tomorrow.

Middle:Below by Tin Can Audio - A horror-comedy about a fella called Taylor, he can travel inbetween the regular world and the 'middle' realm, and seems to be the only one...until!! He has banter with a charismatic ghost man called Gill and has a pet cat named Sans(?). Good sound quality and fun times.

The McIlwraith Statements by Ghostly Thistle - A monologue narrative about Sarah McIlwraith, recounting her mysterious involvement in the famous 'IPP' study. Dark academia vibes. The narrator has an absolutely lovely voice and accent!

Caledonian Gothic - Descriptive like HFTH, storytelling but the serious tone borderlines silly. If you like I Have Seen Niagara, you might like this! States it's true crime, true stories, but also promises magic and narratives aswell.

Irish

Neighbourly by Matthew O.K Smith - A horror anthology podcast about a creepy neighbourhood and the residents within. Stunnin' narration, with really good stories. I got pretty far in and it uploads every Monday. Great stuff.

The Switchboard by Hog and Dice Productions - A 'daily radio show' horror podcast set in a LIGHTHOUSE. HELL YEAH. It's got some funky sound design and some good stories. Both this and Neighbourly have lovely Dublin accents, and nice stories as usual.

Petrified by Peter Dunne and Liam Geraghty - An award-winning horror anthology podcast with very captivating and realistic dialogue. Unsettling and uneasy feeling it gives me. Main guy Teddy from the 'Dead Air' prologue is defo northern! I want to emphasize the realistic dialogue, it's great. Haven't heard him yet, but this podcast also has CECIL BALDWIN acting in it. Give it a shot!

In Darkness Vast by Hammergrin - A sci-fi podcast with some characters with funky names like Doombuggy, Earthfrank and Nervejump. Wolf 395 vibes, Nervejump is a silly AI lady up to shenanigans. Has some fun voices and sound design. Don't know much about it but it's made in Cork!

The Outside Tapes by Liam Brett and Evan Daly - Classic casette tape horror drama. Alfie Greaves is a journalist investigating a bizarre series of events that are all somehow connected. I love Alfie's voice because he has the same accent and inflection as me so it's very lovely to listen to! He is investigating deaths, so it seems to be a nice mix of Magnus Archives and Death by Dying.

Welsh

Seren by Robin Howell - A short sci-fi about Seren flying through the stars to terraform a new planet. Going by the trailer, it sounds great! Some Cymraeg right off the bat. Great stuff. Gives off some melancholy vibes, and has a funky spaceship AI voice.

Gather the Suspects by MadeUp Audio Productions - A groovy-opening theme mixed with a promising murder mystery. Set in Wales "during a very boring apocalypse". Promises relatable characters, procrastinators, mystery and humour.

This Foul Earth by John Tucker - A comedic, easygoing series (from what ive heard so far) in which everyday Welsh people describe a story they believe deserves to be archived for future generations. Clever writing and good vibes!

Hey all, Gren here. I know its been a bit since I've properly posted, and frankly, you're not wrong at all. Life's been busy, and with the rate I'm going at (going to college and whatnot, middle of the school year shenanigans,) there's no way in hell I'll be able to keep the once-a-week posting that I've done. Maybe for summer, but I dunno yet.

Also, life's been hitting me HELLA hard recently, so motivation is also not there. If YKYK.

Which leads to an announcement that I made before: I won't exactly be posting weekly anymore. I'll just... post whenever I feel like it nowadays. Adds a lot less stress for me, and I'll be able to send dumb shit about Puyo and Madou here. Ya know, like a normal blog. You might get 3 posts in a week for all you know.

But enough on that. I'm here to ramble. This won't be a Waku Puyo Extras thing or whatever, literally just things I wanna show and explain some nonsense. There's no formula. Enjoy.

I've been working on this stuff since April of last year, and it's been going decently well, people partially know my works. Now, what in the world do I want to show y'all this time around, since I got free will?

Well for one, I'd you've been following my work for a bit, you'd know about the pain that was finding Madou Sugoroku content, that game was so elusive to me that I was convinced it wasn't real for a period of time.

Uh, yeah. It's real. Very, very much real. And man do I love the style of the game. It's so dang pretty. I'll mention gameplay some other time, I'll cover it another time, but today's not that day.

Also. Arle's fit.

It's basically Schezo's clothes but it looks so damn good. No complaints here. Though I do wonder how she got it.

I do want to mention the Pairs though. Arle/Satan is fine, Witch/Draco have been paired since like Saturn, Schezo/Incubus at least have Waku Puyo, Minotauros/Rulue is obligatory, but what the FUCK is going on with the pairing of Sasori Man/Zoh Daimoh? The fact they got two word names?

I do wish that Draco just had a little bit more than what she has currently. I love her, she's a funny person and whatnot, I just wish there was...more, you know?

She's been a character I've been wanting to cover for god knows how long, it's just I've never had enough unique things to talk about with her. Lotta the stuff is things we do know, or Puyo Puyo Tetris [2] sorta just making her beauty obsessed.

Least in Waku Puyo, she has some comedic scenes, canonically being able to make 5 chains and confusing Schezo at least 3 times. And in the manga, she bounces off Rulue and Minotauros decently, her fight was fun to read.

(Don't ask how Rulue learned Shadow Clone Jutsu)

And for a second, let me say that the designs in this manga are top-notch. Witch's redesign is nice, Rulue's looks really good, Draco's design is great, Schezo consistently has the best clothes, and Lagnus... somehow looks even better.

Oh yea, speaking of Draco, let's look at someone who sorta kinda maybe perchance looks like her but is actually from JUMP HERO.

... I'm awful with transitions. We're talking about the series. Sorta.

So, JUMP HERO. Series made by Compile, unknown to a lot of us.

Frankly, I want to cover this game sometime. It seems so...interesting. The characters, the gameplay, the story, it all seems so interesting to me.

People like Billie Be Babine, Margarita Linda, (the black and red folks in the front), Sugar & Oligo, they all seem so damn cool. Oh, and that Penguin is some fella named Ivan. He has a reeeeeally long last name.

Oh and that robot guy is like 2 years old canonically. Needed to mention that.

This is Sugar and Oligo btw. They seem fun to talk about sometime.

Really relieved to here you are still posting Chloenette, but either way, I'm going to (Slightly) dial back by including other stuff: Idea 1: Wenclair goes on a double date with Chloenette. Wednesday and Chloe talk about how two "bad girls" like themselves ended up dating a pair of sweethearts, while Marinette shows off her fashion design skills to Enid.

Idea 2: Chloenette, but Chloe and Marinette switch financial situations. Marinette is still nice, but incredibly rich and a bit disconnected from "regular" problems. Chloe is now struggling to get by, and has a big chip on her shoulder about her lot in life.

Idea 3: Chloenette AU where Chloe secretly practices martial arts and enters illegal matches on the streets as a way to vent her frustration and aggression... and somehow ends up with Marinette as her manager as illegal fighting groups begin wanting to recruit her.

I can never give up on any of my ships. They're too precious, ya know?

Idea 1: It starts off with compliments. Their girlfriends are amazing and they want everyone within a ten meter distance to know about it because that's just how they are. They're Addams, it runs in the blood.

The compliments started to get more specific until it had words like 'well my girlfriend is' until the two are just trying to one up each other by trying to compliment their girlfriend that it's more like waxing poetry.

Marinette and Enid are watching from the side as Chloe growls while Wednesday crosses her arms. The two girls sigh as their other halves try (and fail) to intimidate each other.

"You wanna go get ice cream and watch the latest TWICE videos?"

"OMG, yes!"

The two leave and chat as they buy ice cream, Marinette showing some of the designs she thought of when she saw the latest videos and Enid getting excited and gushes on how "so cute!" and "they should totally wear that!".

When they come back Wednesday is already at Chloe's back trying to headlock her. Chloe had transformed to her werebear form and was swatting at Wednesday like a bug.

Idea 2: Reminds me slightly of my Fake Dating AU. Marinette knows she's lucky to be born with wealth and money at her disposal. She doesn't take advantage of it (well, most times) and would rather have her own earnings. Alya teases her how she can be a bit clueless at times regarding financial problems.

She tries to help people as much as she can but Chloe was not most people. She's offered to help the blonde by covering the cost of their paired up projects but she's only met with an indignant huff and a sarcastic reply of, "Don't worry. I'm sure splitting the expenses won't get met out of this place easily."

It's not like she can really blame Chloe. Sure, she was a brat but she was also dealing with a lot of problems. Most problems Marinette haven't had in her sixteen years of living.

It's been eight months since the other girl begrudgingly accepted her (consistent) friendship and well...

"Dupain-Cheng," there's a warning in her voice but Marinette decided it was time to maybe push a little. See how far she can go this time with the blonde.

"Bourgeois," she says it like a tease, her lips turned upward, "Let me pay for our coffee? Come on, just once!"

"You're an insufferable brat."

"Thank you, you taught me well."

"Oh, fuck off. I don't need your money. I can pay for coffee. I'm not a charity case, Dupain-Cheng."

She'd usually give up by now, especially when Chloe uses the 'I can pay for myself and I hate your pity' line. But, she has a plan...

"I know you can, but I also know you want to buy that pretty yellow blanket for Pollen..," she honestly didn't know who Pollen was but guessing from Chloe's stories, it was probably her pet.

A raised brow, "So?"

"So, let me pay for our coffee this time. Get the blanket for the lil fella."

"Dupain-Cheng -"

"Or you could repay me later." Please say yes please say yes please say yes-

"Okay." Yes!

Marinette grinned, "Great! There's this newly opened Japanese restaurant I found and I know you love sushi. Repay me by going with me?"

Chloe's eyes widened, her mouth slightly parted. Her face colored pink as she looked away from the blue haired girl.

"F-fine."

Idea 3: Chloe wasn't sure why she trusted Alix when she said she found her a competent and trustworthy manager for her preferred...hobby. work? lifestyle? honestly she didn't know what to call it but she loved doing it.

She was expecting a stoic stranger, maybe a woman who's seen a lot of things in life to not be worried or deterred about Chloe's job(?). Someone who can come to her matches and strike up deals and competitions with other people while keeping everything professional. She was expecting a coach and a manager.

She was not expecting Dupain-Cheng of all people. Reminder to self: kick Alix's ass next time you meet for brunch.

Marinette, to her credit, did not: stumble, stutter, fluster, speak Adrien's name for the entirety of the conversation, called Chloe a brat or tell her she was lost and she was actually a manager for the build a bear right next to Chloe's favorite diner. So, points for her.

Chloe was still Chloe though. "You seem to be lost."

"And you seem to still be difficult."

A scoff, "Fuck you. Alix is probably laughing at me right now. How did she even get you into this mess? Did she tell you she was looking for someone to manage a newly opened boutique while staring at the boy next store across the street?"

Marinette snorted, "No and I do not stare at the 'boy next store'. That's just rude."

Chloe smirked, "You didn't seem to mind staring at Adrien."

"I was thirteen."

"All I'm hearing is you have a type."

The shorter woman's eyes crinkled in amusement, "Oh? And what is my type, Bourgeois?"

"Nice, perfect, and blonde."

"Hmm, you're right about one thing."

"Perfect?"

"No," Marinette leaned up against her and Chloe felt her breath hitch, "I like them blonde, but I also like them dumb and difficult."

Heyyy if you rlly like monster, i recommed checking out a brazilian TTRPG named "Ordem Paranormal"! They got a bunch of cool monsters!

Heres a few i think u would enjoy:

The Lurker(og name is "O Espreitador")

It's first appearances(episode 1, season 4) in the TTRPG were only in stalks, only it's eyes appearing. Making the main characters paranoid, because right when they said they saw the eyes, the eyes disappear.

its full appearance only appeared in episode fourteen(still season 4), the characters actually fight it this time. This folk is able to summon almost perfect clones of the victims it watched for a long time, using they to fight the characters.

Its main thing is just stalk people. It can even drain someone's sanity while they sleep and leave them with insomnia for a few weeks just by watching they.

Also, it technically it was created by one of the characters from the first season (Daniel Hartmann), he was a writer and The Lurker was one of his tells... I dont remember how his creations created life my bad.

The foreigner("O Estrangeiro")

If you accompanied R/Place you prob heard of this one.

This one is quite a mistery yet from what I heard, but we know this folk got a big connection to the "Bells of Tenebris". Everyone who had an experience with this being went back to living their lives normally, as if nothing had happened, but still with a feeling that something is wrong, even though they don't know exactly what it is.

He just appeared in the second spin-off of the TTRPG, "Sinais do Outro Lado"

The Needy("O Carente")

(its original introduction to the TTRPG is really, really good. It gives me chills every time I watch it. REALLY recommend taking a look)

This one was also one of the tales of Daniel!! The original story is about a creature that devours the internal organs of women who have given birth thanks to its envy of beings who receive love even before they are born.

And the devil himself says Needy is his child... Cool as hell. And yeah we got the devil in the TTRPG, we will talk about that guy later..... We got a recording from a character of Needy and Devil walking together

The Relics of Calamity("As Relíquias da Calamidade")

The relics are.... complicated.

They are fellas of great power. And only "markeds" can have control of them. Having a relic is equal of having 100% of paranormal exposure.

Long story, quick response: they are very powerfull paranormal object that when a marker takes control of them, that relic becomes one with the wielder. Sometimes, the relic takes more control of the wielder than they.

The relics are also a representation of the elements of the paranormal, energy, blood, death and knowledgent. But for now, we dont have someone to represent the element of fear, being it a very mysterious element.

In the relics, we have:

The Host(Anfitrião), relic of energy

Very chaotic guy, my favorite!! Sadly he just appeared for a few episodes, and for not having a wielder, he doesnt appear anymor :[[

His personality in general is the representation of chaos, making sick games that already distort reality making people go against each other. He doesn't care about anything that isn't his own fun.

Host doesnt like the other relics, but Devil seems to be an exception.... They are kinda of besties.

Love this guy.

The Devil(O Diabo), relic of blood

I dont know if I have much to say bout this one? Not a big Devil fan lol.

While Host just want to have fun, Devil wants to, well, fuck people's life, and he was never manipulated, defeated or imprisoned.

He is known as someone who makes pacts for people, giving them gifts after making the pact, with the payment not coming until some time later... Hes also able to summon any paranormal creature whos envolved with the element of blood, any.

The Magistrate(A Magistrada), relic of knowledgent.

The relic knowledgent is actually a mask, and whoever wear it, becomes Magistrate, the leader of the cult of mask, and their only goal is to protect the balance of reality. (We still don't know why or how...)

Because God of Death have this thing or protect time and stuff, Host ALSO hates him because of a thing that happened... But if I explain this situation I would do 40 lines of explanation, and this is already big enough.

Snails!!!! Ik they probably don't really count but the little guys are just so cute to me. There's such a big range in kinds. Badass snails (scaly-foot gastropod aka volcanic snail), cute snails (dog whelks), ancient snails (gastropods in general), etc. They're just little guys ^_^

Snakes!!! I like snakes for a lot of the reasons I like snails. Snails only get the no. 1 spot bc they're just portable little fellas and can be easily spotted around. A lot of my love for snakes comes from my morbid curiosity as a little kid when some dude handed me a snake completely randomly when I was 5 (don't ask). Their designs are really cool too and they used to affect how I dressed a lot.

Polar bears. If anything I more have respect for polar bears. They're really cool and have been a weirdly strong influence on character designs for my ocs. Again, this more comes from a childhood interest than anything but who doesn't base their interests like that.

Kanganroos. I've lived these dudes sm ever since I found out they could kickbox. Anything fighting game related had to be kangaroo related for me. And that's still the case for me to this day. If you're gonna put an animal in a fighting game, make it an animal that is jacked as all hell, can and will kick you in the nuts, and would probably enjoy doing it.

Cows. I have a lot of respect for cows too bc they've got life sorted. They live on food. They have best friends. They can stare off into the distance without anyone questioning them. Sure, a cow's life probably has its problems but that shit sounds great.

-Oh! Sasara actually loves original people with interesting hobbies, always finding new inspiration for his jokes in them.

-"Hehe, do you know what my favorite type of toy is?" - Sasara smiles widely, not able to hide his small giggles. - "Ahh, come on, I'm a rapper, after all..! It's yo-yo..!"

-But honestly, he's very appreciative of your work. Just from his point of view, deep feeling is easier to bring when he's joking about it, so it doesn't sound so awkward and he doesn't get too embarrassed.

-Also, as a fellow comedian, he knows how hard it can be to use your imagination to come up with something new and interesting that people would enjoy.

-Watching as you sew new toys in the evenings while he sits near you is Sasara's new favorite way to relieve some stress. It's just so soothing and mesmerizing, the way your arms move so quickly and elegant.. He very much looks like a cat in these moments.

-Oh yes, about cats. Make a small maneki-neko for your boyfriend and he would melt, all giggly and blushy now, can't even think about some awkward pun to hide his embarrassment. It's surprisingly easy to confuse Sasara with just a small affection from your side.

-There's no way he would leave him at home even for a day now, carrying his new talisman everywhere. And yes he talks with his small fella before any performances, in the same way he talks with his furniture. (I totally can see him kissing a small toy lightly sometimes, thinking about how long your hands working at this gift for him..)

-He can't return you a favor with something physical cause he's kinda bad in all this diy stuff, yet Sasara's always ready to support you with his kisses and cuddles, as a reward for all your hard work. Oh, and his casual small jokes, of course..

-"Hmm, want me to help you to come up with new ideas for your work..?" - your boyfriend mumbled, thinking for a second then grabbing your shoulder. - "Ahh, darling, why don't you just make a classic one? Let me think, balls have got to be one of the oldest toys.. They’ve been ‘round a long time.."

-Ahh, so you are not only sweet lovers, but also colleagues by profession, as you both need to come up with different designs for your works..! Doesn't that mean your match was made in heaven?!

-Definitely waiting for you to give him one of your toys on the first few dates, as a sign of your unbreakable love for your angelic boyfriend..!

"Ahh, come on, I already gifted you such a cute outfit as a proof of my sincere love..!" - Ramuda whines, clinging to you with his whole body, begging in his casual childish manner. - "Now it's your turn! Your turn! I want matching toys with you, aren't two cute little rabbits wouldn't be just great? I will keep the one who's looking like you and you will admire mine..!"

-Yes, he absolutely loves to help you with new ideas for your works, bubbling with you for hours about it. Most of his designs are just sweet small animals in lovely dresses, yet they all look so different and interesting so you can't help but promise your boyfriend to make them even if it's not really your style.

-And vice versa: Ramuda is always waiting for your opinion on his new clothes line, showing you all his drafts, as now you're the first person who gets to know his new ideas.

-And, besides that, he's willing to sew small adorable clothes and accessories for your toys, helping you to make more toys in a short time..! You can even call it something like a collaboration, can you?!

-If it's just your hobby or your store is a small place, Ramuda would definitely recommend you to every one of his clients, making ads with you and more collaborations. He just wants his dollface to shine as bright as he is..!

-Hell, even if you are actually as popular as he is, Ramuda will still get you as much promotion as he can, just to brag a little about how talented his girlfriend is..!

-"Ahh, your toys are always such cute precious things..!" - Another playful giggle escaped your boyfriend's lips as he jumped around your workplace with a wild smile. Then he suddenly gets closer and cups your cheeks, interrupting your work. - "But personally, the most precious doll for me here is you, my little marionette.."

-Ok but he's actually so excited, and you can clearly tell by the way his eyes always start sparking when he visits your workplace.

-Dice was able to save his inner child, and also as an airheaded simple man he gets impressed so easily by any of your toys, even failed attempts looks absolutely fascinating for him.

-Will almost beg for an exclusive toy for him, at least something small and easy to make..

"Here, put this inside..!" - your boyfriend chuckles, giving you a small dice with a proud smirk. - "Like that, your toy would be filled with great luck and I totally will get a jackpot..! Huh?! W-what do you mean you already filled it with your love?! Double luck then.."

-He doesn't care if someone will laugh at him for actually taking his new small buddy together with him in the casino, as Dice is ready to beat anyone's ass for making fun of your hard work.

-Yes he's not working himself (and no, dice, gambling is not a real job), yet he appreciates your effort that you put in your toys and is willing to support you till the very end, cheering you up on days when you have something like an art block or celebrating a big amount of orders on good days.

-Don't laugh at your boyfriend when you notice how he's playing with your toys, thinking he's all alone. It's kinda amusing to watch as all his scenarios are about someone winning a jackpot and spending in the casino all again for more wins.

-Brag off to anyone. Gentaro (it's probably always ended up into another teases from the writer's side, as Dice screaming that no, he didn't get bewitched by you and your magic toys), his friends from the casino, just the seller in the store where Dice spends his last few yen on a small snack, anyone.. He got such a talented pretty girlfriend and never would shut up about this now!!

-"This one looks so silly.." - he mumbled, sitting next to you and watching you work quietly. You can't help but tease him a little, telling you actually wanted to make him into a small animal. - "Huh?! Then this little fella looks extra cool! And I'm feeling, if you let me kiss your lips and hands right now, I will share some of my luck with you today! So you definitely would make a masterpiece…!"

askldhaj this was super fun to make! But also took a decent amount of time, and yet I love it so much! I'm very proud of how they all look! I'm also happy with the changes my art has gone through, altho I need to do way more different poses,,ack my weakness lol.

All I ask is that you guys aren't to harsh about these headcannon designs. I personally hate that almost every Sandwing is the same sandy desert color. So I wanted to expand that, your allowed to like the cannon designs! Don't worry, just don't shit on my designs for being different, I want my designs to be different! Character Headcannons -

Blaze - The blue jewelry she owns is from her girlfriend Glacier. She made it especially for her and she wears it with pride. - While ditsy she's gain some plant knowledge from her dead brother Scald. They were very close, spending hours together painting claws, tending to plants and trying on makeup! - She sounds like Pinky Pie from Gen 4! (I love pink characters so much agh!!) - She now spends her time with Glacier (I'm sorry but I can't let her die, Blaze needs her so badly) often helping healers with plant knowledge and trying to figure out how to get plants to grow in the Ice Kingdom. - I wanted her to look like a strawberry dragon, it just felt perfect! PINK PINK PINK!!

Blister - She's quite thin compared to her more plump or round family. Built like a snake and sounds like one too. - Her amber jewerly was gifted from her father, she loves her jewelry as she despises her mother. Giving all her attention to Blaze because "she's the baby of the family" while Oasis boasts about Burn's power in battle. Her mother tried to connect with her but she liked Char. He always knew what to say when she was upset. She was devastated when Char passed away. - She sounds like Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty 1959 - Has an secret obsession with poisons, although she herself is quite afraid of being poisoned.  - I wanted to stay mostly close to the pale snake motif. Although I just couldn't help adding orange n red to make her look fiery, almost like a super venomous snake. One that wears it's toxicity on it's scales to warn others. Also wanted her diamonds to look more interesting, I always though cannon diamonds were way to cluttered.

Burn - Had a fling with Scarlet, thought she was pretty and quite interesting. But really wasn't looking for a relationship, and after the whole face venom thing well they were not getting back together. - Def sounds like Lady Dimitrescu from RE8 - Despises her brother Singe. Everytime she looked at that awful weasel he always had something to say, either behind her back or right to her face. He always teased her for not being great at speaking or writing. Teased the way she walked, her slight mouth gape at all times. Till one day she ripped his neck to shreds, sending the dragonet almost to the heavens. After that day she was placed into fighting training where she became the power house she is now.  - Once she killed her brothers she took her time with Singe, torturing him for as long as she could. She gave Scald a more, "merciful" kill but anything would seem merciful if you saw what she did to Singe. - Yes she's a dark color bc I thought it was neat, made her look alot like her papa. She has also cut most her frill/hair off bc of dangers of fighting. Less things to grab! I tried making her hair kinda like a roman helmet but kept the theme for most the family. 

Oasis - Big boss bitch who knows exactly what to do! Smart, cunning and beautiful, she does have one odd thing about her. Body mods, she loves them dearly and enjoys her horn piercing's (altho they were a bitch to put in, their horns have a lot of nerves). She's also a adrenaline junkie, so her piercing addiction, lots of treasure and devious tactics are perfect for her.  - Loves her small man Char. If you walked in a room with both of them it's a lot like Mortica and Gomez Addams. She was devastated when Char passed away, become a more unhinged dragon in the process.  - She sounds like Mortica Addams from Wednesday (I just had to, sounds perfect). - I wanted a more light, warm theme with Oasis. Almost like desert terracotta, and yes hear scales! I thought it was cute on Blaze but Oasis HAD to have them. I also had to give her dark curly hair with highlights bc omgomg I loooove that so much. 

Char - Sounds like Gomez Addams from Wednesday (hehe small man n big wife gang) - Malewife energy all the way. He constantly embellishes himself in beautiful amber jewels while taking care of the look of the palace. Talking to his servants and giving all his children as much time as he can. His wrinkles and bags are from all the duties he does. Although he would never change it for the world, especially for his love for Oasis.  - Def has an addiction to coffee, I mean how is he going to help Scald get those new plant imports in, and buy Blaze's new makeup, help Singe hunt that beautiful beast he saw in the desert- (you get it lol). - I really wanted "im very tired" vibe with him. I also wanted to go with a dark/char look to him while keeping bright reds, oranges and yellows for fire! It gives him an intimidating look, but also has alot of warmth to it. 

Smolder - Hoenstly I don't have much for Smolder, other than that he was probably the straight man of the family. Although way more chill and with horrible sleeping issues! He's an insomniac and takes traditional medicine Scald makes for him to help him fall n stay asleep.  - Sounds like Legoshi from Beastars  - I had to make this dude greasy n tired. It was just a great idea imo. Like he has to be tired dude, and he doesn't have time to bathe!! I also made him more orange than Blister altho making sure it make them look like they come from the same hatching. 

Scald - I made him into a femboy- ENOUGH SAID, lmao. Seriously though I really wanted to give Blaze a best friend, she really deserves it! So: a very femine brother who loves beauty products but also looooves plants! He's obsessed with em and his mother made him his very own greenhouse. He loves his plants and takes care of them as much as he takes care of Blaze.  - Do not underestimate this small dude, he will kick your ass. Not only is he pretty but he will fight to protect Blaze and to prove a point. Although he is no idiot and will not pick fights, more so he fights for things worth fighting. Although he has a fear of needles so no peircings for him! - Sounds like Stolits from Helluvaboss - Blaze is a strawberry dragon, SO TANGERINE DRAGON TIME! I just really think the orange works very well for him, and I honestly wanted to make a femine male character bc I havn't really done that in a bit. I espically had fun with the flower necklace as I think it makes him stand out quite well against his family.

Singe - Awful stinky man, so smelly! He's two faced, lying, manipulating and egotystical dragon. Often picking fights with Burn as its easy for her lack of brains....well untill he was torn to shreds by her. After that he became way more fearful of the dragoness. Using expensive furs from the animals he's hunted. He's also very cowardly so no fighting or even peircings for him. - Obv sounds like Karl Heisenberg from RE8 - Honestly just a peice of shit, I have really nothing else to say lmao. - I wanted to do one more pink dragon before I finish the designs. I espically wanted a burnt pink dragon idea in mind, kinda like Char but pink!
