so here's a few things I'd love to see in Ep3

Get to know what T and K stands for

Tk struggling with Owen being overprotective of him (I love their dynamic but this is probably only a matter of time)

Tk apologising and explaining himself to Carlos (give me a couple who's capable of communication PLEASE)

Owen being open about his cancer (it's a matter of safety for the team to know)

Get to know more about Marjan, Matteo and Paul. What is their humour like? How do they live? What was their life before moving to Texas? What do they like? What is their pet peeve?

The team getting closer. I'd love to see a bond between them grow. this special kind of friendship, that makes you feel home away from home

Okay, it's time to discuss a topic that I have actually been insanely intrigued about ever since the very first time these characters came onto the screen together in Legacies.

The relationship between Hope and Alaric.

As I said in my last post, I honestly don't see the Hope and Alaric relationship in the same manner that most of the fandom might. I mean I don't see Alaric as a father figure to Hope. I don't. And here's the reasons why.

Let's discuss the very first scene where the two appeared on screen together.

Hope and Alaric drove together up to the church to help the town's new werewolf, which was obviously Rafeal. But here's the strange part of it all: it was only Hope with Alaric. Josie and Lizzie weren't even there, nor were any of the other characters.

Alaric had decided only to take Hope.

Now let's go to the actual scene and here's the rundown of their dialogue.

Alaric: Shut down the exorcist, would you.

Hope: Silenceo

And that's not even me mentioning the two walking in together like they owned the damn place.

Alaric wasn't Hope's headmaster(sure as hell didn't act like it), or father figure. They were partners, work partners if you'd rather.

Let's look at another episode: 01x3.

This episode takes place after Alaric catches Hope using dark magic and decides to "punish" her the next day.

Let's see just how well that worked out.

Their dialogue:

Alaric: Alright, now go. All of you.

Hope: Seriously?

Alaric: What part of what I said needs translating?

Hope: I want to help you with research.

I actually LAUGHED at this next part.

You can clearly see Alaric trying not to look at Hope when he decides to hit her with this nonsense:

Alaric: Dorian has a master's degree in library science. I think the adults have it covered.

Hope's FACE basically screamed: "Oh, hell no. He did NOT just play that card with me." Because she says:

Hope: That's not fair. You only play by the grown-up rules when you don't need something from me.

And after she says that, Alaric just gives in because he knows that she's right. So instead of playing the adult card, he tries to reason with her(kind of like you would a co-worker when you're trying to explain why you need them to cover your shift). It's actually hilarious. He completely surrenders that whole "adult card" because he knows it's all for naught.

Alaric: Look, I am spinning here, Hope…. And what I need from you right now is to be a kid, keeping a dragon-sized secret until I get some answers… Understood. (he added that as some weak attempt to act like the parent because he's basically a chihuahua staring down a Grizzly Bear, which is exactly one of the reasons I DON'T see Alaric as a father figure to her).

And while he's saying this, you can see in his expression that he clearly understands how ridiculous he sounds. And Hope giving him that "you gotta be fucking kidding me" expression probably doesn't help his case much either. Because deep down inside, Alaric knows she right. But he still wants her and wishes her to be like a normal kid, like his daughters.

But she's not and hopefully he stops with all that crap because the truth of the matter is this. Any danger is more likely to end up killing Alaric and Dorion before it would touch Hope Mikaelson. Or, she'd end up being the one saving both of their asses, so Alaric needs to finally learn to be at peace with what Hope is and quit playing the adult card.

Finally, in season 2(this will be brief), their whole interaction was like co-workers.

Alaric: We've fought together before, haven't we?

So no, I definitely do not view them as romantic, but I also cannot view Alaric as having any authority over her simply because of what creature she is.

I just can't.

It's like a human trying to hold authority over a damn polar bear.

It just ain't gonna happen.

If Hope ever goes to the darkside, then Alaric I highly suggest that you DON'T play the adult card with her then 😂😂😂

Case closed

(UPDATE: Hope and Alaric actually remind me of the relationship that Owen had with the Raptor Blue from Jurrassic World, Hope being the raptor).

And that's fucking HILAROUS!!
