Part 11 for @wrecked-fuse ‘s pocketverse 🌌
Part 10
~ Part 9 + MOAR ART ~ ( pt. 7′s art 🧁)

Billy grabbed two bottles of milk first thing while Steve and Max strolled through the chip aisle. The little ones in his pocket crowed awed sounds at the wave of cold in their face.
“Wooooh!”
“Is this snow?”
“Fwost!”
“It’s a fridge,” Billy informed bluntly. “Snow comes from the sky and frost is on the ground.”
“Smart Biwwy!”
That got a smirk out of him as he prowled through the aisles in his customary stride. “You guys are an ego boost, I’ll give you that.”
He approached Steve, who was throwing large bags of Cheetos into Max’s arms. When he moved toward something else, she remarked, “Grab another.”
He threw back, “You’re really playing this orange aesthetic up, huh?”
Max’s nostrils flared and her mouth puckered into an angry dot, not helped by Billy laughing, “Low blow.”
“I’m not made of money,” Steve defended and then asked, “Do you want anything?”
“For me? How sweet.”
Steve let his head fall back and roll from one shoulder to the other. “Okay. We’re done here.”
“What about us!”
“What’s bweakfast, Stevie?”
He pointed his gaze at Billy’s pocket and informed, “Breakfast is later, when the sun is up. We’ve got cereal, waffles, and bacon at the house.”
“But we want tweats,” small Steve complained before his face stretched in a big yawn.
Big Steve smiled and gently nudged his cheek with a knuckle. “You got a big sleep in your future, lil man. We’re seeing Robin tomorrow. She’ll have treats for you guys.”
“But...Stevie...”
“Yeah, B?”
Small Billy’s little hands hand onto the edge of the pocket as he blinked shyly up at him. “I don’t wanna sleep...”
“You’re gonna sleep really well this time, okay? I promise. We’re gonna tell those bad dreams to scram.”
“Scwam?”
Steve nodded. “Scram. Hit the road.”
“Hit the woad!” he said with more confidence.
Steve laughed and straightened up -
And got pinned in place by large Billy’s soft stare.
Seconds felt like minutes as it took Steve way too long to say, “Sorry. Personal space.”
“Never bothered me before,” Billy crooned. “No point in getting shy now.”
He walked past Steve toward the register, leaving Steve a little dumbstruck behind him. Steve recovered and followed in his own time, getting his wallet out of his pocket while Max perused the hanging rack of toys by the counter. The cardboard-backed plastic packaging slapped the counter as she announced, “These too.”
Steve and Billy observed the miniature skateboard and bicycle. Steve touched one as he remembered, “Oh, these. Teachers banned these so fast...”
Then he realized what she intended as she met his epiphany with a sarcastic smile. “There you go.”
“Heh heh,” he laughed like a mimicry while grabbing another bicycle toy. “After B is tired of almost breaking himself, they’ll both have bikes.”
“I’m fine so far,” she disregarded.
Big Billy snorted under his breath as he paid first. It was a testament to how tired the little guys were that they stayed quiet all the way out of the store. Max put her victory spoils in the Camaro with the milk, as Steve organized his front seat and grabbed the shoebox. He placed it on the trunk of his car while the siblings came over. He clicked on the fairy lights and called, “Okay, guys. You get the night sky as a ceiling tonight.”
Small Billy yawned, eyes struggling to stay open as he and Steve were helped out of the pocket. Large Steve carefully got them to the floor of their shoebox room, only for little Billy to step out of the doors and ask, “Are we sweeping outside?”
“Uh, no,” Steve answered with the harrowing thought of the box sitting on his car while he drove, “you’ll just get the view of the sky as you fall asleep.”
“But I don’ wanna sweep.”
“Hey,” he coaxed with a soft tap on Billy’s tummy. “What do we do to bad dreams?”
“Tell ‘em to swam.”
“Scram. Where can they go?”
“Hit the woad.”
Steve waved theatrically. “Just hit it.”
“Hit it.”
“That’s right,” Steve smiled. “Only have room for good dreams in that noggin’.”
Billy’s face craned up to him and glanced between Steve, Billy, and Max. “But what if they come back?”
Steve opened his mouth, but Billy answered, “That’s not your fault. Dreams happen.”
“Why?” the little one asked.
Big Billy could only shrug. “Some things aren’t up to us.”
Little Steve stepped close to him. “I’m here, Biwwy. I’ll get Stevie again, like wast time.”
Big Steve scratched his hairline, where the muscle memory woke up of tiny feet jumping on his head. “Yeah, that. That worked. Until then, let’s try a secret weapon.”
Two pairs of eyes locked onto him, as wide as they could manage for being so sleepy. “Weapon?” they both marveled.
“I can fight my dweams?” little Billy asked hopefully.
“I don’t really know,” Steve admitted, “but I can give you a shield.”
Those glass-blue eyes rolled. “Ugh, what’s a shield gonna do?”
“Look down, numb nut,” Steve ushered, looming close as the little blond head tilted forward -
Little Billy gasped as a kiss was planted on the top of his head. His face snapped up, reflecting the stars, only to gasp even louder as little Steve almost knocked him over as he laid one of his own on little Billy’s cheek.
Small Steve giggled profusely, holding his face shyly. “I fight too, Biwwy.”
Big Steve announced, “Come here, then,” and small Steve’s arms moved down to hold his body. He contained himself as Steve kissed his head -
He paused when he felt the tiniest touch on his jaw. When he dared to peek at small Billy, he could see how red he was in the neon light of 7-11. “You said Steves pwotect people. Well. I’m a knight! Right, Biwwy?”
Large Billy’s brows shot up over his flabbergasted expression. “Huh?”
“We kick ass!”
He laughed and shrugged. “Yeah, sure. Now finish your kissing fest. It’s almost dawn.”
But little Steve called, “Big Biwwy needs kisses!”
“Uh, no.”
“Come, come!”
“No, I don’t - ”
Big Steve countered, “Don’t underestimate his size. He gets real pissed.”
Max doubled on his other side, “Are you really going to abandon them when they’re offering you protection?”
Billy’s jaw ticked as he mulled that over. He growled, “Lucky me,” and leaned over the hood. “Fine. Give me your best shot, Harrington.”
But he got the same flush of warmth through his system as they both smooched either side of his mouth. He slowly straightened as he watched little Steve wave at him on his way back to his box. “Nigh’ nigh’, Biwwy!”
“Night.”
Little Billy went to the cut out doors. “When are we swimming?”
Billy sighed. “Soon. After sleep and snacks.”
The little face deliberated on that. “Hmm. Okay. G’nigh’.”
The two talked to each other in their room as if Steve, Billy, and Max couldn’t hear them chatting about the stars. Billy inhaled deeply, half-listening to his littler self spin a yarn about unicorns riding in the sky as he glanced at Steve.
“Welcome to my world. Max, are you good?”
Her haughtier and bravado seemed to finally fade as she swayed a little, twisting in place. “Yeah, I’m good. Can I come around tomorrow?”
“If it’s just you.”
“Yeah, just me,” she scoffed.
Steve smiled. “I’ve got a late shift tomorrow, but my morning’s wide open.”
Billy turned toward his car and started the march home. “Don’t sleep through it.”
“As if they’ll let me,” Steve confirmed as the Camaro doors shut, and the engine started up. He took his time, breathing in the smell of the night while he listened to the ramblings in the box slowly go quiet. When ocean breaths came and went from the box, he peeked inside, adjusted the blankets on the little ones, and took the box inside his car for the drive home.

Hi, I’m on around 30 minutes of sleep at the moment, and I think it’s time to give team Prime their height, and vehicle modes, and a rough idea on their age and what they did before the war. (This includes all team Prime through the entire show dead or alive.)
Ok before I begin, just to let people know, I haven’t put much thought into this and am very tired but can’t see to sleep until I get this out. If you want to see more then check out my post I did on the Rescue bots. Also some of the heights that I find will be slightly added onto or rounded up, if deemed necessary.
Let’s Roll on, shall we!
Optimus Prime: the big guy himself, second oldest on the team. He is of course an old Peterbilt, I based him of a peterbilt 379. It’s difficult for me to find his height on this because I could add the trailer making him tall or just the truck. As just the truck he’d be short close to 10 or 11 feet, which obviously doesn’t fit the Prime. (Though it’d be funny). With the trailer he’d be around 50 feet which is a better size for him, but the trailer is not apart of his body which is why I’m hesitant to use its length. Though I guess we could use some G1 magic.
Ratchet: the good old doctor of doom (dramatic Megatron go brrr) he’s obviously the oldest of the team, mostly likely an elder by cybertronian standards. I’d say he’s a type 3 ambulance, making him around 23 feet. Not Prime big, but a decent size.
Arcee: before UltraMagnus and Wheeljack showed up, she was the third oldest on the team (not much older than Bulk tho). Unfortunately for her she’s the smallest. I chose a fast motorcycle for her, a dodge tomahawk, the fastest motorcycle in the world (according to google). Now onto her size, I’m sorry but she’s around 10 feet tall😭.
Bulkhead: the wrecker himself! Good old Bulk is 4th in age at the start of the series but at the end, he’s forced to 6th place for age. So we can go the jeep route like Prime did, making him around 20 feet tall. Though we could go the animated route and make him some sort of armored vehicle, likely military. If he went that route I’d say he’s around, 25 ft, I know not much bigger.
Bumblebee: Ah the good old scout, the youngest of the bots throughout the whole series. He probably has the most iconic vehicles mode of all the bots, making him easy to pick for. I looked it up and they said in one of the movies he was a slightly modified 2011 Camaro SS. This would make Bee around 16 feet tall.
Wheeljack: Ah yes Jackie, best friend of Bulk, tormentor of Ratchet. When he joins the team full time, head around the third oldest (a bit older than Magnus) as for his vehicle form, that was slightly tricky to pick. Idk what car he his, so imma choose a new one or similar one. Ok, so the 2017 Ford GT does look close to his car in the show. This would make him around 17 feet, so around Bee’s height.
SmokeScreen: the good old rookie, he’s the second youngest on the team (only slightly older than bee). He be a speedy boi, so he need a fast car. I was going to pick the fastest car in the world but, another fit his alt in the show. That would be the Hennessy Venom F5, this would make him around (technically 15) but I’m going to add a couple feet making him around 20 ft.
UltraMagnus: this rule dude was easy to decide for, when he joins he’d the 4th oldest on the team. As for his alt mode, he chose what Prime had before the upgrade. He’d be around 53 ft.
Cliffjumper: poor boi, he deserves much better. When he was alive he was between Bull and Arcee’s age. His alt mode was a 1964 Pontiac GTO. This alt would’ve made him around 18 feet tall.
Yay finally done with all that stuff, let’s get into what they were before the war.
Optimus: he was of course Orion Pax before the war, a simple data clerk.
Ratchet: he was a doctor, though less experienced than he is now.
Magnus: he was in the Elite guard.
Arcee: idk about her, she’s difficult to tell. Maybe a racer or was in the entertainment business (I know stranger for this Arcee, but it’s clear that she’s very war torn, so she could have changed a bit.)
Jackie: he was most definitely and scientists/ engineer before the war.
Bulk: he said it himself, he was in construction.
Cliff: now we don’t get a lot about him, but I think it’s be a funny nod to his first VA (DWAYNE THE ROCK JHONSON!) that he was either a wrestler or an actor, or perhaps both.
SmokeScreen: was still in the Academy to become an Elite guardsman.
Bee: like Smokey, he was still in school, though I’d say he was around a high school senior before the war broke out.
Now that all for now, I might make a post about the human either together or separately. Also I plan on making Jasper a lot more lively than it is in the show.

Forgeline customers dominated the 2024 OPTIMA Search for the Ultimate Street Car competition at Sebring International Raceway, this past weekend, where they claimed all three spots on the overall podium and won six of the eight classes. This effort was led by Chris Smith, who took both the overall and GTV class wins, in his 1970 Chevrolet Camaro known as "Angry Smurf"!
Chris finished near the top overall in each of the four competition segments, including second place overall in the Lingenfelter Performance Design and Engineering Competition, first place overall in the Peak Performance  Acceleration/Braking Challenge, fifth place overall in Falken Tire Hot Lap Challenge, and seventh place overall in the Autocross. His performance throughout the weekend competition placed him at the top of the GTV Class (in which his Camaro competes), and the sum of his performances earned him 489 points and the overall win out of all 53 competitors.
Chris’s “Angry Smurf” pro-touring 1970 Chevrolet Camaro was built as an in-house project at Smitty’s Custom Automotive and painted in GM’s PPG Rapid Blue. The Dream Thieves Quotes
July 3rd aka Adam Parrish’s birthday! Anyway, here are some quotes that are my favorite and/or resonate with me.
“He always said Ronan differently from other words. As if he had meant to say another word entirely—something like knife or poison or revenge—and then swapped it out for Ronan’s name at the last moment.” (2)
“The second secret was perfect in its concealment. Ronan did not say it. Ronan did not think it. He never put lyrics to the second secret, the one he kept from himself. But it still played in the background.” (4)
“They were not quite conventionally handsome, but they were interesting.” (8)
“In that moment, Blue was a little in love with all of them. Their magic. Their quest. Their awfulness and strangeness. Her raven boys.” (11)
“When Ronan had been smaller and more forgiving of miracles, he’d considered the moment of death with rhapsodic delight.” (21)
“Ronan, a sinner himself, wasn’t as struck by the transgression as he was by Gansey’s insistence that they continue to pretend Adam was a saint.” (24)
“Eventually, the Gray Man thought, if he resisted using it for long enough, he himself might forget his own name, and become someone else entirely.” (31)
“Creature was a good word for him, Ronan thought. What the hell am I?” (35)
“Neither could really help the other find sleep. But sometimes it was better just to know you weren’t the only one awake.” (35)
“They never got torn down. They just got forgotten.” (36)
“Back then, it had surprised Ronan; he hadn’t realized yet that Gansey could persuade even the sun to pause and give him the time.” (37)
“His thoughtless expression was one of wonder or of pain; with Gansey, they were so often the same thing.” (37)
“They went and got some orange juice.” (41)
“No, she thought. No, it’s not about that. It’s about what I do, not what I am.” (45)
“It wasn’t what he said but how he looked at no one when he said it that made the moment strange.” (48)
“What do you want, Adam? To feel awake when my eyes are open.” (58)
“This was easier, Adam thought suddenly, when we didn’t know each other.” (59)
“If you never saw the stars, candles were enough.” (60)
“No one could deny that Gansey was a glorious portrait of youth, the well-tended product of a fortunate and moneyed pairing.” (70)
“Sometimes Ronan thought Adam was so used to the right way being painful that he doubted any path that didn’t come with agony.” (71)
“But one of the marvelous things about being Ronan Lynch was that no one ever expected him to do anything nice for anyone.” (72)
“Because they couldn’t talk about that. Just like they couldn’t talk about Adam stealing the Camaro that night. Or about him basically doing everything Gansey had asked him not to.” (74)
“If he were a god, he thought, this would be precisely how he’d create his new world. Unrolling it like a carpet.” (77)
“He wouldn’t forget the sensation of the dream. It hadn’t been joy, but instead, the absence of pain. He couldn’t forget that lightness. The freedom.” (78)
“In the rearview mirror, he allowed himself the slightest of smiles. This was what it felt like to be happy.” (97)
“She’d never been any good at having casual friends.” (98)
“When the boys came to her house, they stopped being everyone else.” (98)
“Without cutting her gaze over to him, she already knew what she would see. She would see a rich boy dressed like a mannequin and coiffed like a newscaster—but his eyes were like the dreaming pool in Cabeswater. He hid the insatiable wanting well, but now that she’d seen it once, she couldn’t stop seeing it.” (101)
“It was powerful thing, that laugh. He only did it once, but his eyes remained shaped like it.” (103)
“And it was this friendship, all wordless glances and wry twists of the mouth, that made Adam think that Gansey must be cruel.” (115)
“Ronan and Gansey were laughing, he thought, at a joke where the rest of the world was the punch line.” (116)
“Gansey had pivoted and in his slow, lovely accent, said, ‘Adam Parrish, right?’” (116)
“They had enough time to lift their heads and look at one another. Then the engine expired.” (120)
“It was becoming a nightmare. Ronan could hear the night horrors coming, in love with his blood and his sadness.” (128)
“Gansey ran over the memory until he no longer felt the thrill of hearing Glendower’s name whispered in his ear, and then instead gave himself over to feeling sorry for himself, that he should have so many friends and yet feel so very alone.” (132)
“He felt it fell to him to comfort them, but never the other way around. As it should be, he thought, abruptly angry with himself. You've had it the easiest. What good is all your privilege, you soft, spoiled thing, if you can’t stand on your own legs?” (132)
“Gansey had a pure logicless moment where his stomach dropped and he thought, I don’t know who any of my friends really are.” (134)
“It was easier for Gansey to wrap his head around a Ronan who made dreams real than a Ronan who wanted to die.” (135)
“‘What is it I’m preparing myself for?’ ‘What’s in my head.’” (136)
“The only reality was this: He was home. How badly he wanted to stay.” (145)
“‘I remember,’ Gansey said thoughtfully to Ronan, ‘when you used to smell like this.’” (154)
“He didn’t say what Ronan was thinking, which was that Gansey was far more of a brother to Ronan than Declan had ever been.” (154)
“That look, Blue thought. Ronan Lynch would do anything for Gansey. I probably would, too, she thought.” (163)
“Blue and Gansey exchanged a look. Blue’s look said, I’m so, so sorry. Gansey’s said, Am I the pretty one?” (165)
“If I was your favorite, he asked his dead father, why did you leave me a home I could never return to?” (172)
“What a hero, the Gray Man thought. Another Arthur.” (179)
“He felt grown old inside his young skin. I tire of wonders, he thought.” (195)
“The unfairness of it, the wanting, kept her up some nights.” (202)
“But this version of Gansey was Gansey the boy. This was the Gansey who bought the Camaro, the Gansey who asked Ronan to teach him to fight, the Gansey who contained every wild spark so that it wouldn’t show up in other versions.” (209)
“The trip of his pulse became a kick drum.” (210)
“This was Gansey with a lofty tilt to his chin, a condescending quirk to his mouth. A Gansey that was aware that no matter what went down here tonight, he would still go back to Monmouth Manufacturing and rule his particular corner of the world. This was a Gansey, Ronan realized, that Adam would hate.” (215)
“‘While I’m gone,’ Gansey said, pausing, ‘dream me the world. Something new for every night.’“ (219)
“And then, in the dark next to the Champagne Travesty, he kissed her. Neither of them had kissed someone else in a while, but it didn’t much matter. Kissing’s a lot like laughing. If the joke’s funny, it doesn't matter how long it’s been since you last heard one.” (224)
“In its place was the ten of swords: the Gray Man slain on the ground and Maura the sword driven through his heart.” (225)
“His head was a tumble of burning cars and ancient Camaro wheels and the destruction of everything Blue had said to him.” (232)
“As they sailed up and over the roof of Monmouth, Gansey caught a last image of Ronan sarcastically blowing him a kiss before turning his head away.” (232)
“Gansey turned his eyes to Adam, who looked more like himself than he had in ages. He silently vowed to do whatever it took to keep him that way.” (237)
“As they baked in the sunlight, she let herself think it: I have a crush on Richard Gansey.” (240)
“Ronan rationed the music from their old life, as if he used up a bit of his memories of his father every time he played it.” (246)
“And just like that, the Gansey who Adam had befriended—the Gansey he would do anything for—vanished, and in his place was the heir born with a silk umbilical cord wrapped round his blue-blooded neck.” (256)
“Adam remembered all at once what it felt like to feel, to be real, to be Adam, instead of my friend, Adam Parrish, give him your card.” (264)
“Ronan rolled his wrist to flip his middle finger at Kavinsky. Muscle memory.” (267)
“Screaming along with the thousands of tiny explosions beneath the hood was a place where Ronan felt nothing but uncomplicated happiness, a dead and empty place in his heart where he needed nothing else.” (270)
“The car was Gansey’s religion, and Ronan found it a worthy god.” (270)
“‘We’re older than we used to be.’ ‘When?’ ‘Just a minute ago. We’re getting older all the time.’” (280)
“He was Adam Parrish, army of one.” (281)
“What he wanted was to be home, and home wasn’t here.” (287)
“Once, he’d been stabbed with a screwdriver—Phillips head, bright blue handle—and falling in love with Maura Sargent was exactly the same.” (289)
“‘He’s having a coming-of-age moment.’” (297)
“He was wasted on dreams.” (321)
“It was nothing, but it was Adam Parrish’s nothing.” (326)
“... he just wanted. Cicadas sang madly from the trees. It was so impossibly summer. He wanted to stay.” (331)
“The old Ronan Lynch’s laugh. No, it was better than that one, because this new one had just a hint of darkness beneath it. This Ronan knew there was crap in the world, but he was laughing anyway.” (337)
“This was her favorite Gansey, the scholar Gansey, not a hint of Aglionby about him.” (360)
“‘I’m just saying it because I’m trying to understand how I could have been so many places and yet this is the only place that feels like home. This is the only place I belong. And because I’m trying to understand how, if I belong here, it...’ ‘—hurts so much,’ Blue finished.” (365)
“He was going to say I missed you. But he had been missing Niall Lynch for as long as he knew him.” (369)
“How terrible it would be, Blue thought, her mind on Adam again, to not have a mother who loved you?” (372)
“(I am a beautiful thing, shaped for fighting)” (373)
“At 300 Fox Way, Adam quietly turned eighteen.” (375)
“Gansey looked like a king, even sitting in the shabby backseat of the shared Fox Way vehicle. Perhaps especially when sitting in the backseat of a shabby vehicle.” (376)
“And here was the pool and the dreaming tree. The first place Cabeswater had changed itself for Gansey, and the first place magic had truly revealed itself to all of them.” (387)
“But at the moment, eighteen and freedom seemed a lot closer than it had before, and it didn’t matter.” (401)
“He held Ronan’s gaze for just a moment longer, until something inside Ronan unwound and he almost said something.” (415)
“She was holding his hand, crouched down next to him. ‘Why do you hate you?’ ... ‘I don’t,’ he said. And he woke up.” (417)
“‘The world’s a nightmare.’” (425)
“For some reason, although he had arrived with them, he felt as if he had been alone for a very long time, and now no longer was.” (426)

Posting something that I added to AO3 a long time ago but can't find on my blog. If you've already read it, sorry. But I thought I'd add it to tumblr while I wait to finish some things I'm working on.
Billy lights a cigarette. Not because he needs one, he doesn't need much of anything anymore, but to give his mouth something to do while he fills Harrington's grave with dirt.
The pretty boy owes him big time for this. Billy had plans for tonight. Plans that he had to cancel because someone decided to stumble into a den of the undead. And yeah, he didn't have to drag his bitten and dying ass out here and give him his blood, but he couldn't just let an ass as fine as that become little more than a snack.
And sure , maybe his reasons for doing this are that shallow, but he's still doing him a solid. Billy never wanted to sire anyone, so this is totally out of character for him to begin with. Harrington is damn lucky he's still pretty.
He heaves more dirt over him.
Why the fuck was he even at that warehouse anyway? He had zero business being on that side of town, on his side of town. Maybe he should ask him once he climbs his way free. Then smack him upside the head for being a complete moron. Who walks into empty creepy buildings in the middle of the night?
Harrington apparently.
IU must not have a class on street smarts.
He huffs a laugh at the thought of the boy taking that kind of class as he continues his work, and it only takes a few more seconds to fill it all in.
He pats the dirt with the shovel and smirks, "Sleep tight, sweetheart. See you tomorrow."
-
Harrington crawls into his new life as gracefully as Billy thought he would, which is not at all . He stumbles away from the grave on shaky legs and searches around frantically, fear and panic evident on his dirt smeared face. Once he sees Billy sitting on the hood of his Camaro, his eyes grow comically wide.
"What the fuck? What the fuck is going on? Did I just climb out of a fucking grave? Did you bury me alive, Hargrove?"
"Calm down, Princess. I saved your sorry ass. You'd be a bloodless corpse in a basement right now if I hadn't gotten you out of there."
"Out of where? What are you talking about?"
"Holy shit, you have no idea what you walked in on, do you?"
Confused, he answers, "No?"
"Jesus Christ, you really are an idiot." He throws the other boy a towel to get some of the grime off his skin.
"Gee, thanks." He scowls, but he takes the offering and starts wiping himself off.
Billy sighs, "I don't know why you were at that warehouse, Harrington, but whoever sent you probably wanted you to die," He watches the towel pause on his face, "or at the very least, beat to shit."
"I was there to hook up with a guy." He admits quietly. "He picked the meet up place."
And Billy knows he was the only human in that building last night, so that means that one of the other vampires had set him up. It's not like Billy's never hooked up with a dinner date, but that wasn't what was going on there. He had thought it was just an accident and that they had gotten carried away. But no, they had planned to suck him dry until Billy intervened.
It pisses him off because they don't have to do that anymore. They don't have to wait so long between feedings now. They don't get so lost in their hunger that they kill all of their meals. So killing humans these days is unnecessary. It's an archaic practice that Billy despises.
Fuck.
Now he would have to watch out for those bastards.
"I know it was stupid, and I should have left when I saw how creepy the place was, but I just really needed to get laid."
He laughs at that. He can't help it. "I wouldn't have thought King Steve would end up literally dying for some dick."
"Oh, fuck you, Hargrove." He growls. "Act like you don't gag for it too."
Billy raises a brow. "Gag for it, huh? No, I'm not the one gagging, pretty boy."

Posting a little bit of that Harringrove A/B/O I wrote last night. It needs some work but it's been fun working on it.
-
The first thing that Billy notices when he walks into his assigned cabin is that there is an odd smell in the air. It's faint. Nothing super obvious. Nothing harsh or musty, but just…different. Almost pleasant. He was prepared for all the insane amounts of Alpha pheromones permeating the camp grounds, the testosterone, even the B.O., so it was a welcome scent to be honest.
He quickly forgets about it though, when he leaves to sign in and get the schedule for this weeks activities and the list of campers under his watch.
But at the mess hall later, his nose twitches and he realizes that he's picking up the same scent he found in the cabin. It seems slightly familiar now…and it's coming from the camp counselors table.
He isn't sure who it's coming from, but now that he's closer to the source he can pick up the familiar underlying smell…it almost smells like Max when she…
But there's no way. This is an Alpha camp. It's impossible for anyone to get in without having already presented…but yet…he's definitely picking up omega.
He looks around in alarm trying to see if anyone else is noticing this. But everyone is laughing, eating, and horsing around. He's the only one that seems to be bothered.
What the fuck is going on? Maybe he's imagining things. He's gotta be.
Right?
Yeah. He's just sensitive lately. That's all.
So he ignores the feeling in his gut that something isn't right and eats his dinner and jokes with the other counselors and tries to hide the fact that his nose is tingling and his skin is itchy.
But later, when he walks back into the cabin to meet the brats he's in charge of, he stops dead in his tracks. He can't ignore his instinct here.
It's Jasmine…and honey…and something woodsy. And while it's not really strong, it's concentrated and more noticeable.
The other counselor assigned to this cabin is already chatting with the kids and when he looks over to Billy he lifts a hand in greeting and Billy just knows.
It's him. It's definitely him.
He's the one.
Billy introduces himself.
Turns out, the guys name is Steve Harrington and he's about to be a senior at Hawkins High. He's in the program to gain some extra curriculars for his college resume.
And he's the prettiest thing that Billy has ever seen.
But he can't ask questions here. They've got a cabin full of newly presented 13 and 14 year olds. It's not the time or place to discuss this.
So he just stays awake all night, keeping watch. Just in case.
But nothing happens.
That day or the next.
But Billy does notice that as the days pass, the smell strengthens a little and now it's  affecting him. It puts him on edge. Makes him want to get close. Makes him want to protect…and that is not something that happens to him.
So he's gotta be right.
The only problem is that he doesn't know how to go about this. Steve Harrington seems to be pretty popular among the staff, the counselors, and the kids alike. He's asked around and he found out he's somewhat of a leader at his school. Nickname King Steve.
So someone like that? Probably wouldn't want someone like Billy questioning him about his status.
But he can't ignore it. It would be wrong. So he musters up the courage to approach him one night after the kids go to bed and they're all hanging out by the fire.
"Hey, Harrington. Got a minute?"

So for me, Steve's six little nuggets speech was less endearing and more upsetting. Mostly because of the reason behind him wanting that so badly.
The boy is lonely as fuck.
He wants a big family so he won't ever be alone again. If he has kids, he will always have someone to love and who loves him unconditionally no matter what.
So, yeah. It more broke my heart than made me go "Aw Steve. He's so adorable wanting a bunch of kids and an RV to go on road trips with. UwU."

Based on this lovely art by @angryhuangyu
Just imagine Billy waking up in Steve's body...
He would wake up and stretch...and realize his ribs don't hurt like they should. His head isn't throbbing and his lip isn't pulling tight. It's strange because, after the argument last night, they definitely should be. So he opens his eyes and is met with an unfamiliar ceiling in an unfamiliar room. But when he looks in the mirror he does see a familiar face.
And of course, there's a freak out because what the actually fuck, but he would quickly deduce that if he's in Harrington's body, that means Harrington is in his.
And if Billy had a typical white picket fence family, he would totally take the opportunity that fate has given him and run with it. He would love to just fuck with King Steve. He would love to just relax in his castle, drinking fancy booze, watching TV, and taking a dip in that sweet inviting swimming pool.
But he doesn't have that kind of family.
He doesn't have a nice suburban dad that thrives on a strong sense of family and community. He has the kind that thrives on pain and punishment.
Which means Harrington is in serious trouble. Because he knows that he's going to wake up and wonder why he feels like shit. He's going to get up and try to leave. (He won't be able to because Billy is grounded.) He will come face to face with his Dad, not knowing what he can and can't say, not knowing the rules.
He's going to say or do something wrong.
And then he's quickly going to find out the secret Billy has been trying so fucking hard to keep.
And yeah, that fact would be irritating and embarrassing as fuck, but that's not what has him in a panic trying to find the stupid keys to the Beemer.
It's the fact that as much shit as Billy gives him, Harrington doesn't deserve to be on the receiving side of Neil Hargrove's anger.
No one but Billy does.

My #1 post of 2022
It's been so long since Billy has heard another person's voice, but now he hears her. Soft but clear in the red tinted darkness.
"Dear, Billy."
It's Max.
His heart beats just a little faster because that's impossible. She can't be here. No one can be here. No one but him. Him and the monster.
But despite what he knows as a fact, his ears are still picking up that ghostly sound.
"I don't know if you can even hear this."
He follows it. Drawn like a moth to a flame. It's not like he wants Max to be subjected to this hellscape, but…
He stops where the voice is the loudest.
At a gravestone….
With his name on it.
What the fuck?
"Ever since you left, everything's been," she pauses, "….a total disaster."
He looks around. She's not actually there, but he can still sense her presence.
What the hell is going on?
He waits for her to keep going, but can only hear her quiet breaths, so he sits down, back against the mossy stone slab.
Waiting.
"For awhile we tried to be happy," she finally continues, "Normal. "
There's so much pain in that word. Even though he can't see her, he knows she's been suffering.
"I know that's impossible…too much has happened…nothing will ever be normal again…"
Billy understands. God how he understands.
"I just…" her voice falters. "I just hope that at least you're finally happy…wherever you are."
His throat tightens, because he's not…He's not happy. And…
"I'm right here, Max." He whispers to the empty space before him. "I'm right here."

30 Day Blog Challenge
2) 20 Facts about you.
This might be a hard one. I decided to go chronically- pretty much- and put things that I think defined me. I'm 66 years old so there's a lot to work with. As Bob Seger wrote "What to leave in. What to leave out."
1. I was born in Flint, MI in 1956. I could see the top of an auto factory from my front porch.
2. I got a baby brother for my second birthday, they still won't let me send him back.
3. In elementary school I had to wear a full brace on my right leg [Legg-Perthes] until 3rd grade. When we moved to 'the burbs'.
4. I am dyslexic and spent 2 years in LD classes. 5th and 6th grade. This was unusual in the 60s. It helped me a ton.
5. I am the oldest of 4 boys.
6. I walked to and from school every day. (Up hill, both ways) On the way home I stopped by the library, grabbed books or records [Harry Neilson - look him up] and at the drug store to buy candy and comic books.
7. I was a free-range kid, we all were. I spent my childhood in the woods and fields near my home. Rode minibikes and skateboards . Splashed in creeks. Exploring for hours. And the most amazing winter when the forest floor froze.♥️ (if you have ever skated a forest. Consider yourself blessed). I actually ran track. We moved to Ohio after my 9th grade year.
8. I sang baritone in Mens Chorus for 3 years. 3 state championships.
9. I started a rock and roll band with my brother and some high school friends. I played base.
10. I earned a Brown belt in Judo.
11. My mom died suddenly right after my 18th birthday
12. I went to Ohio State (Sorry Blue friends - I got accepted there too but couldn't afford it.)
13. My 1st car was a '67 Firebird Convertible.
14. I was the production manager for our student theater group for 3 years.
15. I worked in Student Security during the school year and in an auto factory building Camaros and Firebirds in the summer.
16. I took a job with a division of Dayton-Hudson Corp. and knocked around retail management until I couldn't stand it any longer.
17. I became a bartender. Played around for a few memorable years. Eventually I met my wife, became a step-dad to 3 great kids and got a 'real' job for a while.
18. I opened a cruise-only travel agency with my wife and absolutely no experience. (25 great years)
19. I sent all 3 of my kids to OSU and most of my money.
20. I have 3 wonderful grand kids.

Leading 10 Flick Muscular Tissue Cars And Trucks
I made a decision to choose the most effective movie muscle cars that have ever appeared on screens. The goal was to select just muscle automobiles and only from movies so a few major prospects didn't appear on this checklist due to the fact that they were from television series, was not a muscle cars and truck, or simply really did not enter into this listing. Anyhow, I wish to point out 1970-1971 Plymouth Barracuda from "Nash Bridge" [with Don Johnson], Cobra from "Cobra" [with Michael Dudikoff], non muscle mass but unique and iconic 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 from "Back to the Future", 1977 Pontiac Trans Am from "Smokey as well as the Outlaw", 1958 Plymouth Fury from "Christine", "Kitt" - Pontiac Firebird Trans Am from "Knight Rider", 1969 Dodge "01 ″ Battery charger from "The Dukes of Hazzard",1959 Cadillac Rescue from "GhostBusters", and so on. Each of them is a person's dream cars and truck, each is ideal in some ways, however here's our TOP 10 Film Muscle Mass Autos:
1. Bullitt - 1968 Ford Mustang GT 390 from "Bullitt", 1968
1968-ford-mustang-bullitt-steve-mcQueen-poster - Most likely this is the only unmodified motion picture Mustang ever. It has substantial 325 HP, an actual American muscle car's heart under the hood - the hostile 6.4 liter V8 engine, 4-speed guidebook transmission [which absolutely looks difficult to move] and sporty back wheel drive to enjoy while cornering. What else do you need from a real muscle mass automobile for chases after, especially back in 1968?
2. 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 440 from "Vanishing Point", 1971
1970-dodge-challenger-rt-vanishing-point - This set was a hot design with shocking 375 HP, 440 cubic [7.2 liter] V8 which plays probably the sweetest automative soundtrack. Would You handle to discover a far better car for Kowalski to drive from Denver to San Francisco in 15 hrs?
3. Eleanor - 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 from "Gone in 60 seconds", 2000
Mike Savage New Canaan
eleanor-mustang-1967 - Eleanor is possibly the most replicated muscular tissue flick vehicle ever to show up in screens. Although the initial movie from 1974 was a hit, the 2000 took the show for certain. There were 11 Eleanor systems constructed for this flick as well as just 3 of them were real running as well as driving automobiles. In the motion picture it served as Shelby, but actually they were customized Mustang fastbacks. The movie transmission was a 4-speed handbook, however the stunt cars were automated for less complicated act. Genuine tale.
4. The Interceptor - Australian 1973 Ford Falcon XB GT Coupe from "Mad Max", 1979
ford-falcon-interceptor-back-mad-max - This was one of the most modified automobile in that film. XB GT Falcon was developed specifically for Australian market as well as there were only 949 devices built. It featured 351 Cleveland engine as well as 4-speed guidebook transmission The motion picture auto maintained most of the original interior, but body had some significant modifications: brand-new nose layout, back looters, Weiand 6-71 supercharger with Scott injector had, 4-barrel carburetor and also the Zoomies - side pipes. Australians boast of this car and also make reproductions of it.
5. Bumblebee - Chevrolet Camaro from "Transformers", 2007
Transformers Autobot Towers Over Chicago Vehicle Program Crowd - The Transformer's Bumblebee made Camaro one of the most popular auto of the year. Well, not just it changes and looks excellent, however has a modern-day amcar engine - 6.2 liter V8 which ranks 426 HP and also does 0-60 in 4.8 seconds ...
6. 1968 Dodge Battery Charger R/T 440 Magnum from "Bullitt", 1968
Dodge-charger-from-bullitt - This triple-black, 4-speed Charger went after the Mustang in the "Bullitt" film and made one of the best automobile chase scenes ever before shot. When the jumping act was performed over the San Francisco hillsides the Charger never fell short with the suspension. Would you be able to call an automobile from nowadays that could do that without ending as scrap?
7. Cobretti's personalized 1950 Mercury Monterey from "Cobra", 1986
mercury-monterey-from-cobra-2 - Cobretti's [Sylvester Stallone] 1950 Mercury is possibly the most crucial thing in the whole film. It was previously had by Stallone himself and also later on built for the film by Cinema Automobile Providers. They double-scooped the hood, cleansed all extra trim, fitted 383 Chevrolet small block, topped it with nitrous-aided 4-barrel Holley carburetor which additionally had Weiand 144 supercharger. The transmission was a 400 Turbo Hydraulic with 4-wheel brakes. A good automobile to disclose Cobretti's character as well as join this Leading 10 listing.
8. 1966 Shelby 427 Cobra from "The Gumball Rally", 1976
Shelby-cobra-427-gumball-front-2 - The movie itself was inspired by a cross nation driver Erwin G. "Cannonball" Baker who took care of to drive throughout the country from coastline to shore in concerning 54 hrs. This funny had several interesting vehicles on act, such as Ferrari Daytona, Porsche 911, 600 HP Camaro, Jaguar E-type, Exchangeable Corvette, Mercedes Roadster as well as even a Kawasaki motorbike. There were only 2 different, but original Shelby Cobra autos in this flick [CSX 3243 as well as CSX 3255] These 427 cubic [7 liter] OHV muscle mass automobiles took care of to inflate to 355 HP. This was actually excellent trip across the country with legendary muscular tissue cars and trucks ...
Mike Savage New Canaan
9. Bond's 1964 Aston Martin DB5 from "Goldfinger", 1964
aston-martin-db5-james-bond-movie - The DB5 is renowned for being the initial and most recognised film auto in James Bond films. DB5 had 4 liter [282 HP], 5-speed transmission. Originally, Ian Fleming [the unique writer] had positioned DB Mark III, but DB5 was the latest Aston at that time. In fact, they made use of the prototype cars and truck and also fitted it with lots of weaponry that fat stripped after the film and also resold. The same car showed up in a few other Bond's movies also. If You would certainly ask somebody to say "what Bond's vehicle is", the one would most definitely name Aston Martin. Good auto completely agent.
10. 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 from "Rumbling Roadway", 1958
1957-ford-fairline-500-thunder-road - The movie personality actually drove 2 automobiles there - 195 Ford Coupe as well as 1957 Ford Fairline 500 which was the top of the Ford line. The 312 cubic V8 engine created 245 HP and had automatic transmission. Good selection for 1950s if You actually need "to take somebody out".

Raikkonen to make racing return in NASCAR at Watkins Glen | Other motorsport
Kimi Raikkonen will return to racing later this year in a one-off appearance in NASCAR’s top-flight Cup series. The 2007 Formula 1 world champion will drive a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Team Trackhouse in the 25th round of the championship at Watkins Glen. Trackhouse is courting drivers from outside NASCAR as part of an entry known as Project 91. Raikkonen will join the team’s regular drivers Ross Chastain and Daniel Suarez for the race on August 21st. Raikkonen is not a newcomer to stock car racing. During his two-year break from F1 between 2010 and 2012, he appeared in NASCAR’s second-tier series and its Trucks category, achieving a best finish of 15th at the latter. Both races took place on the Charlotte Motor Speedway oval. Watkins Glen, the former F1 circuit in New York State, is one of a growing number of road courses on the predominantly oval-based NASCAR schedule. NASCAR uses the shorter, eight-turn 3.9-kilometre layout compared to the 11-turn course F1 last raced on in 1980. Raikkonen made his F1 debut in 2001 and retired at the end of last season after making a record 349 starts. His successor as F1 world champion, Lewis Hamilton, drove a Chevrolet Impala NASCAR in a demonstration event at Watkins Glen in 2011, the same year Raikkonen made his two previous appearances. Pro Comp Alloy Wheels 703665500 Center Cap Automotive
In 2006, the Darrell Waltrip Edition was marketed to honor the NASCAR driver and his participation in the NASCAR Truck Series. The package included special badging and unique 18-inch wheels. I have read a few complain that the Pro Comp centers are just cheap plastic not worth running anyway. I didn't really care on way or another so I haven't looked into other options. Not all pro comp steel wheels center cap are manufactured equivalent. However, the headset top cap (although in theory you can probably fit something like an FSA SMR/ACR system to this bike), headset wedge assembly, seatpost, and seat clamp are proprietary to Specialized’s current generation of performance road bikes. Specialized officially keeps service and replacement parts available for seven years after the last production year of that model – which is a decent period of time. Still, long-term availability to specific parts is worth considering if you expect to own a bike for decades. Just a little info from my experience with my Pro Comp 7069s. When Discount Tire tried to mount the center caps with the wheels, they didn't fit. https://bestreviews.tips/pro-comp-alloys-wheel-center-caps_463875/
The previous Allez Sprint used a similar SmartWeld concept at the bottom bracket, but the successor model takes another new path.
The Toyota Tundra 4x4 was rated in second, just below the 2WD model.
Don't quote me, but I believe the issue centers around different center bore measurements between wheel and hub.
His idea of a family car with a black 1974 Z28 Camaro, or a Chevelle.
Now, I understand that Pro Comp has a few different center cap options.
Tumblr media
A ball joint in the front suspension may wear out causing the vehicles to be difficult or sometimes impossible to steer. Toyota reports that the defect may be the cause of 11 accidents resulting in six injuries. This can cause the wheel to break off of the lower control arm, cause further damage, and greatly inhibit the ability to control the direction of the truck. Because the Tundra's Vehicle Stability Control system is disabled when the vehicle's 4x4 system is engaged Consumer Reports has questioned the Tundra's Top Safety Pick award. Toyota's response is the Tundra does not feature a center differential which would become a weak point in the drivetrain. However the stability control system remains operational at times when the truck is in 4x2 mode though many drivers will select the 4x4 mode in slippery conditions. Electronic stability control functions in 4x4hi and is disengaged in 4x4lo. This is verified by the updated owner's manual, visor instructions, and road tests in snow and ice in 4x4hi. In order to add a dramatic style upgrade to your truck, this center cap boasts a high-end, hardcore appearance that turns heads wherever you go. Featuring a unique design that guarantees a customized flare, this cap is made to impress you, your passengers, and other drivers. What axle configurations are Roval road disc wheels compatible with? Our current generation CL 32, 40, 50, and 64 wheels, along with SLX 24 disc wheels, are compatible with traditional QR and thru-axle configurations. The end caps for these configurations all ship with each aftermarket wheel. Built to celebrate Aston Martin’s centenary, the sensational CC100 made its debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. They’re included in the frame weight mentioned in the article. The chainstays are pinched slim for maximum tyre clearance. Specialized only produces one seatpost model for the Tarmac SL7, and so that means the Allez Sprint benefits from an S-Works-level part, too. The way those thru-axles are countersunk into the dropout provides a clean aesthetic that few match. The bottom bracket and head tube technologies steal the show, but the dropouts are nothing to scoff at, either. There’s only a tiny window for threading the rear brake hose between the chainstay and bottom bracket shell. Specialized recommend going from front to rear for an easier install.
Racequip Sa2020 Side Air Pro20 Racing Helmets
In 2006, the Tundra got Toyota's first manufacturer championship winning 12 of the 25 races. The model also got the driver and owner championship with Todd Bodine and Germain Racing. Around 70-80% of the Tundra sales are the 5.7 L versions, and 46% are the Crew Max. The standard cab versions are selling at a slower rate than expected. With the added capacity of the San Antonio plant, Toyota planned to sell around 200,000 Tundras for 2007.
Pro Comp Steel Wheels Center Cap
These weight saving measures include carbon fibre front bumper, clamshell bonnet, front fenders and side sills, composite rear bumper and deck lid, lightweight battery and a special centre-mounted twin-exit exhaust system. Tuned to ensure the V12 Vantage has a voice to match its looks and performance, this new exhaust system is made from lightweight 1mm stainless-steel, saving some 7.2kg compared with the system fitted to the Vantage. The Allez Sprint mimics the Tarmac SL7’s fit and handling. As mentioned earlier, the seatpost is identical, and all models of the Allez Sprint are supplied with the same S-Works version as found on the carbon bikes. Based in Gaydon, England, Aston Martin Lagonda designs, creates and exports cars which are sold in 56 countries around the world. Its sports cars are manufactured in Gaydon with its luxury DBX SUV range proudly manufactured in St Athan, Wales. Suspension spring rates have been increased by 50% at the front and 40% at the rear, combined with top mount stiffness increasing by 13% and new anti-roll bars are 5% stiffer at the front and 41% softer at the rear. To maintain comfort for the driver, a secondary tender spring has been introduced to the rear. The tender spring provides a lower spring rate than the main spring providing enhanced ride comfort without affecting dynamic performance. Lightning eMotors is planning to build an electric chassis with Mexico’s Metalsa for Class 4 and 5. It was the first full-size pickup awarded a "Good" score, its competitors from Ford and Dodge were rated "Poor" and in the case of GM's entry "Marginal". Help us install tactical compression tires that are subject to this very stupid just bought standard steel tires with them. Sign up for our newsletter to receive specials and up to date product news and releases. I thought they would clip on to the wheel somehow because it seems like they would rattle around while driving. They should just push through the backside of the wheel and be pinched in between the wheel and hub when mounted.

TOP 5 VOLKSWAGEN MK7 GTI BODY KITS

This is a particular type of kit and has a classification it's called a level 3 wide body and our son says you should do a rating system for it and you could work a deal with Wikipedia where you have a blog attached to it and it would be one that checks to make sure the person's real and then you can vote with a comment on how much faster it made the car go and a lot of people will vote and you can put the number in there and the computer can recognize the higher numbers automatically and you just put the number you can comment later and people think it's great they heard the idea go out to see raise an eyebrow
This first kit and we didn't count five by the way I think there's three the first one makes it go faster and it's all on the Volkswagen golf GTI performance vehicle and it's the V4 and it's all the same year I think it's 2014 and it goes from 0 to 60 in about 4.8 seconds to 0 to 60 and 3.9 seconds and the quarter mile from about 11 and then down to 9:00 and top speed from about 180 believe it or not up to 2:20 and people like it and the rating system would help it'll make it really famous these kits work and we want to do plants on kits on the Camaro and firebird they'd make it go from 250 to about 480 and if you modify the exhaust and top in it goes about 600 but really these numbers are real this Kit's real is looking at it and he's thinking about how cool it would be to get some speed off of the car and you guys think if he had a limiter if he'd be in trouble and you like that kind of stuff and we frankly do not like here attitude and style and he's not really trying to sell that anymore there's too much of it it's all over the place then again he's saying it but then you're saying it and you're saying he's a hot head and driving around he would get in fights and stuff and we really don't need that stuff I don't need a lot of this crap that you shovel everyday and you go after each other so often that the whole world thinks that you just sick people and you've already said enough basically oops and they just don't want to hear anymore so what we're saying is you should take a hike with all your extra crap but....
If your son gets this car the car will become famous with just a class 3 wide body kit and it gains 40 miles an hour and that doesn't include high performance stuff the motor you're probably end up going 250 or 260 and it can handle it with tires and rims and the exhaust and sound cool not too cool and you have to put coolant in but really it's not much work it's all topical and people love it okay they are getting in the mood it's going to be a hell of a day today it really is there's a lot of people interested in this kind of stuff and helpful there's a lot of foreigners who love it a lot of Asians love it and a lot of people who are acting like them in California they need to go faster this is already built it's a sturdy car they make them new and you can outfit new ones and the motors are better for all of these actually all the years and they hold stuff too the top speed we have 260 with the engine modifications with an extra 500 lb to go to 220 we were harder to handle but it stiff suspension
We like his idea of posting this it's a good idea they saw how well it handled and looked at it but they don't get it it's also front wheel drive so it works in all sorts of weather it has a lot of room in it so you can open the window and close it and get air if you have a problem with snowed in and things like that that you can sleep in it by putting the back down and there's tons of room and put their luggage in the seats front seats people like it I mean it's really a utility vehicle but it's small fast and consume around town
They're actually thinking about getting it down here and he said if I don't have any money I need to tell you to hang on to it until I get money cuz I don't want to spend it all just driving around and it makes sense there's nowhere for him to drive to so that's what he's going to say and that's the plan and he says what planet
Thor Freya
Olympus
Zues
So out of my husband's mouth and his innocent boy still mind you he said they're going to give me a job they're going to take me to planet a****** and of course he means these people
Hera
Now wait a minute okay it's probably true but we're focusing on him cooking what looks like some plastic on the tray even though he's scraped It off and heard him say it it's pretty much gone

Tumblr media
Pairing: Billy Hargrove X Reader
Word count: 2.3 K
Summary: You're the extreme opposite of Billy Hargrove. The good girl, with perfect grades, the child every mother wants to have. And you don't want to have nothing to do with his kind. Ignoring Billy – and his constant, lingering stare – became an habit. But after you're put together for a special school program, you'll have no choice but to get along with him. And soon enough you'll find out that Billy is so much more than just Hawkins' bad boy.

Treacherous
You can't believe you let Billy convince you into this. These parties were never your thing. They usually happen during the week, and on the next day, you can see the effects on those who went. Today is Saturday, but even so.
Maybe it was Billy's intense stare, or how he smiled and caressed your cheek as he asked you to go with him... Or how he said he wouldn't go without you because there would be no point.
Sighing, you look at yourself in the mirror, blushing at the memories. Your hair is styled with some waves, and they flow down your shoulders. The dress you choose is tight, perfectly hugging your body. Not too tight though, as the dresses Stacy and her friends wear. It's decent and delicate, pink and black... And you wonder if Billy will like it.
“(Y/N), Billy is here!” Your mother yells and you sigh, fixing your hair and leaving the bathroom.
Once you put the high heels on, you take your purse and go downstairs. Billy is seated on the couch, but his eyes find you immediately, and he stands up. “Hey.” You mutter, walking over a very weird Billy. He has his mouth half-open, eyes scanning your body. “Have you lost something?” Trying to keep the sassy tone, you cross your arms, heat spreading through your cheeks.
“I just never saw you on a dress before and...” He sighs, eyes meeting yours and a smirk coming to his lips. “You're stunning.”
Biting your lip, you look down, taking in the leather jacket and the red shirt underneath, which has a lot of buttons left open. “You look good too.” You mutter, running a hand through your hair. “Shall we go?”
“Sure.” Nodding, you start walking to the front door.
“(Y/N).” Your mother calls, and when you turn around, she's standing by the kitchen door frame. “Be back by ten, alright?”
Silently, you nod before waving and walking out.
The ride to the party is filled with small talk. Billy keeps stealing glances, a small smile that never leaves his lips.
Once you get there, a house you don't even know who lives in, you raise your eyebrows as you walk in. The music is loud, but the people are louder. The place is crowded, and you wouldn't want to be the one to clean this place after.
“So, what do you think?” Billy asks, mouth close to your ear.
“It's very loud!” You tell him, and someone bumps on you, making your shoulder collapse on his chest.
Billy gives someone a hard stare before looking down at you. “Wanna dance?”
“Yeah.”
“Come.” He takes your hand, guiding you to the living room, which has the furniture all moved, creating an open space. There are a lot of people here already, but they move aside for Billy. A lot of eyes lay on you, but you ignore them. “I don't even know if you can dance, pretty girl.”
“Oh, I do.” Smirking at him, you wrap your arms around his neck, and start moving.
Billy raises his eyebrows, clearly impressed as his hands encircle your waist. You're very, very close, and you can feel all of his body. Your cheeks burn, the proximity making the butterflies in your stomach go crazy. The heels do make you closer to his lips, but still, he'd have to bend down to kiss you.
Kissing Billy Hargrove. You never thought you'd want to do such thing.
But here you are now, dancing with him, spinning around and colliding your back against his chest as his arms hold you close, moving to the hectic beat. And it's perfect, amazing. Not because of the party, but because of him. You want to be like this forever, in his arms.
“You? Here?” The voice, very familiar breaks through your stupor, and you come back to Earth. Steve raises an eyebrow, purposely ignoring the man holding you. “I could never convince you to come to these parties. Not even when we were dating.”
Billy gets tense behind you, arms holding you a bit tighter. “Well, that was because I never had a good reason to come. Now I do.” Shrugging your shoulders, you gesture at Billy. “Where's your girl?”
“Bathroom.” He says, looking around. “There she is. Gotta go.” He steps away, but stops suddenly, eyes focusing on Billy for the first time. “You try anything with her I–”
“Steve, go.” Cutting him off, you speak up. “I'll be alright, Billy treats me well.”
“He better do.” With one last angry stare, Steve walks away, and you breathe out, relieved.
“I'll get you something to drink,” Billy says, letting go of you. You turn around, giving him a look. “A soda. Just soda.” Smiling, he raises both hands in defeat. “I know you well, pretty girl.”
“Alright. I'll check the backyard.”
“I'll meet you there,” Billy says and you nod, starting to make your way through the people.
The backyard isn't empty, but it's not crowded as the house is. Blame it on the cold. It's freezing, and you wish you had brought a jacket. The yard is cute though. A single three and some wooden tables scattered around. There's a bench under the tree, so you sit there bracing yourself and rubbing your arms.
“Hi.” Someone says, and you find Tyler coming to join you on the bench. “You look absolutely amazing.”
“Thanks.” His tone sounds weird, and you move away from him a little.
“People didn't use to notice you, but they sure are now. And God, you're so beautiful.” He says, and you give him a confused glance. Why is he saying this? “How did you manage to stay invisible for so long?”
Furrowing your eyebrows, you shrug your shoulders. “Because I'm not the type of girl guys like you pay attention to. And now that I'm with Billy–"
“You're with Billy?” He cuts you off, eyes following a small group of people walking by. “Is it official?”
“Mmm... We're... We're hanging out.”
“There's a big difference, see...” Tyler moves closer, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. You immediately shake his hand away, but he keeps it on the backrest of the bench. “Because if you're with Billy, your off-limits. And if you're not... Well, I can have a shot with you.” Tyler run his fingers through your shoulder, all the way to the back of your neck. So you get up, not even trying to seem polite.
“I'm not interested, Tyler.” Bracing yourself from the cold, you look down at him.
“Look, you know Billy won't keep you. Save yourself a broken heart.”
“(Y/N),” Billy calls and you thank the heavens. Turning around, you find Billy coming your way. “Tyler.” He says in a weird, plain tone.
“Billy.”
“Here.” He hands you over the can of soda, eyebrows furrowed. “Everything alright?”
“Sure,” Tyler speaks before you can, a humorless laugh escaping his lips.
“Wasn't talking to you.” He snaps, eyes coming to look at you.
“I'm fine.” With a half-smile, you tell him, craking the can open and taking a sip.
“Mmm.” Billy mumbers, and you can read the question in his eyes. “Here.” He says at the same time he starts taking his jacket off. “You're cold.”
“I'm not, really.” You protest, but he puts the jacket around your shoulders anyway. “I mean it, B. You'll be cold.”
“I'm alright.” He assures you. “And come. Let's get out of here.” Without giving Tyler a second glance, Billy guides you away, and you don't even try to resist.
You thought he was driving you home, but instead, he took you to a snack bar, where he bought you ice cream. And here, leaning against his car in the almost empty parking lot, you're having more fun than you were back at the party. The night is a bit cold, but the sensation Billy brings out makes you warm.
“Did Tyler say anything?” He asks, putting his empty plastic ice cream cup on the hood of his car.
“No, just... He said I'm pretty, that you'll break my heart so I should give him a chance.” Shrugging your shoulders, you look down, putting your cup next to his before pushing yourself up, sitting on the hood of his Camaro. “But don't mind him. Nobody else knows what happens between us.”
“I won't break your heart. I'm scared you will break mine.” Billy says, a nervous giggle leaving his lips. “(Y/N), I...” He comes closer, his hand, on the hood, touching your leg. Then you fold a leg under yourself, your body leaning closer to him. It happens involuntary, as a need you have you didn't even know was there. “I use to act and think and feel like I was unbreakable. But you... You made me weak.” It comes out as a plead, and Billy ends the little distance between you two. His face is too close, and his blue eyes are everything you see as his hand comes to caress your cheek. “I'm completely at your mercy. I'll do anything you say”
You've never been this close to Billy. And yet, you want more. The whole world is out of focus, and even the gravity is too much. Your heart needs him, it wants him. “Put your lips close to mine...” Your voice is barely a whisper, as your mind tries to win the fight over your heart. You'd be smart to walk away, but Billy is quicksand. He pulls you in. His kindness, gentleness... His touch, his voice, his eyes... Every single thing draws you closer. “As long as they don't touch...”
“I'm in love with you,” Billy says, eyes never leaving yours. “I've been since I saw you for the first time but it only got stronger. When we're close, I want to kiss you, and touch you and look at you... And when I see you walking away all I can hear is the sound of my own voice asking you to stay.”
A smile takes over your lips. He's confessing it, he's saying it with all the words. Billy's heart is open... And he loves you. “Everyone warns me about you. They tell me not to fall for the bad boy and sometimes it scares me but... Your name has echoed through my mind and I just think you should know.” Holding on the collar of his shirt, just to make sure he'll stay close, you look at his lips. “But nothing safe is worth the drive so...”
“(Y/N)...” He says, begs, pleads.
“This path is reckless... Treacherous... But I like it.”
And it's settled. You want him. And when Billy loses control, when he kisses you, you surrender. His lips taste like ice cream at first, but soon after all you can taste is him. And it's amazing, indescribable, inebriating. You've never kissed someone like that, you never wanted to kiss someone like that, and now you know why.
You've been waiting to kiss Billy all along.
And when you have to pull away, he holds you close, forehead touching as you both catch your breathes. The silence that follows isn't uncomfortable. It's the silence of two people in love enjoying each other's company.
“So...” Billy says after a while, his thumb caressing your lower lip. “I believe we're dating now.”
The different tone makes you laugh, playfully pushing him away and jumping off the hood. “What makes you think that?”
“A good girl like you wouldn't kiss someone she's not dating.”
“I'll make an exception for you...” With a smirk, you open the passenger door. “We can go back to the party if you want.”
“No way. I'm taking you home.” Billy gestures for you to get inside, closing the door for you.
“Are you for real?” You ask as he starts the car.
“Yup.”
“You know my mother isn't home, right? She wouldn't even know.” Putting the seat belt on, you look at Billy. He has a smile on. The kind of smile you've never seen before.
“No, I want to make things right this time.” He glances at you, and your eyes fall on his lips, making you want to kiss him again.
Blushing, you nod, looking at the road ahead. “Alright.”
On the ride home, you listen to some music. And as he speeds through the streets, you sing out loud. Some people look with an angry face, eyebrows furrowed, but it only makes you sing louder. You're happy, like you never felt before.
The song is only turned off when he stops by your house, and you step out of the car. Billy walks you to your front door, and you stop there, turning to face him.
“I had fun tonight.” You tell him, a hand on the door handle, but with no intention of going inside.
“So did I.” He mutters in a low voice, stepping closer. Despite the high heels, he's still taller, so you raise your head to look at him. The darkness hides you both from curious eyes, and it makes you brave enough to move closer, holding on to his shirt.
“You know that if I cross the door with this jacket I won't give it back anymore, right?” You whisper, a smile on your lips.
“Take it, it's yours.” He whispers back, a hand caressing your cheek. “The jacket... My heart...” And he kisses you again, slowly, allowing you to feel the warmth of his lips and mouth against the cold of the night.
But he pulls away too soon, and you sigh. “What?”
“It's past ten, pretty girl. Get inside.” He places a kiss on your forehead, reaching behind you and pushing the door open. “See you tomorrow at school.”
“Good night, B.” Smiling, you turn around and step inside, but the door remains open until his car disappears down the street.

Why the myth about Steve's PTSD doesn't add up and other inconsistencies
In the last few episodes of H50, PL tried to sell us a mentally broken Steve suffering from PTSD. Only the whole thing came a bit too late. The clip you see is from season 4 and ended up - no, not in the series - but somewhere on the floor of PL's editing room. And why? after Kurtzman and Orci departed, along with their writers, PL took the helm and started turning Steve into a super-soldier. He stylized him into something that wasn't meant to be. Instead of developing the characters, PL began to incorporate more and more hair-raising action sequences into the series and then let Steve fight on the front lines. There was no mention of Steve's mental state, and a lot was explained by PL with: it just happened "offscreen." Yeah, sure. PL can't create a decent character. He can only produce stereotypes and one-dimensional beings. Like Adam. What potential would that character have had had he been turned into Five-0's antagonist? But no. So his role remained diffuse and monotonous. Sometimes even tragicomical.
Back to Steve. When SEAL Team started on CBS, PL also lapsed into SEAL mania. If someone who writes fanfiction were to produce as much garbage as this man did, he would be chased away from every writers' platform in disgrace. PL's Super SEAL also had to rescue his team members from a blazing inferno. Not man by man, no, he flew a helicopter right into the danger zone and lifted a whole cabin out of the burning jungle. If lunacy had a name, it would be PL. While the action became more and more exaggerated and unrealistic, the same happened to the protagonists. After the departure of Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park, PL completely lost his mind. And please, don't blame the writers for the nonsense that was thrown at you. A series stands and falls with the showrunner. He dictates what he wants and passes it on to his staff.
And so, lovable Steve became a soulless robot who only showed feelings here and there. Danny diminished more and more into a sidekick. McDanno became a ship that drifted anchorless through a stormy sea and threatened to capsize again and again. From season 8, it became a reboot of the reboot. PL tried an ensemble show and failed more than miserably. Often the actors just stood around bored. At least that was the impression. The only highlight was episode 8.10. A feast for all McDanno fans. But even here, the outcome of "who shot Danny" was more than insubstantial.
Wait, there was something about SEALs... Oh, yes. Junior appeared on the scene and became Steve's lapdog. I really wondered when there was going to be an episode where he would fetch sticks for Steve. Luckily we had Eddie for that. And because he thought he was so clever, PL invented the episode speed dating. How many subplots can you squeeze into one episode at the same time? In some episodes, you couldn't even take a look at the bag of potato chips without losing the thread.
The case of the week became the yawn of the week. There were so many loose ends that PL then came up with something called retconning. That's what you do when you're no longer satisfied with what was once established in the series years ago, or it no longer fits. But PL went one step further and did the same with the characters. The more the series was dragged out, the more the characters deteriorated and became OOC. It means, often, they were not recognizable at all. And that's where we come to Steve. Because PL, in his desperation, didn't know what else he could do to Steve, and so he killed Joe White. He did it in such a cheesy way with a fake sunset that it made you sick.
Of course, one episode later, there had to be another gig of PL's favorite Barbie. He stuck a fake beard on poor Steve/Alex, so he couldn't even hug Danny/Scott properly. The episode also raised more questions than it answered any. And Steve? He still didn't suffer from PTSD, even though he had now lost Joe White and a fellow SEAL. Everyone is dropping like flies, except for Steve, who is standing like a rock. No matter what. He doesn't need in-depth talks with Danny, nor psychological care, nor any sleeping pills. No, he's doing great. He also opens a restaurant with Danny because apparently, the carguments are already getting on PL's nerves. Unfortunately, this plot device leads into nirvana. The idea was nice, but nobody thought it through to the end. And the merry-go-round continues. Until we get to season 10, where it gets even more absurd. Now PL is almost bombarding us with McDanno episodes, or at least it should seem that way. Oh well, he's already planning for season 11, so a new character has to come on board quickly. While in the beginning, Steve's mother, Doris, dies.
Alex was allowed to take on the subject. Of course, only under the strict eyes of PL. He then nullifies Alex's idea that Steve kills his mother. Because a good soldier and Super SEAL won't do that. Little does PL know. THAT could have been the opening of a PTSD scenario for Steve. However, apart from that, this episode would have had any potential for a multi-arc. Just imagine Steve chasing his mother across multiple episodes. Again, PL stepped in and butchered Alex's episode. You can really feel sorry for the guy. PL at his best or worse? He just can't help it. And then, on the very last meters of the series, he brings someone new, who is allowed to cruise around with Steve most of the time. Because Danny was kidnapped by Wo Fat's widow, PL also invented quite late to have some villain at his disposal. This wannabe mastermind must really have been living under a rock somewhere if she wasn't even mentioned by her husband or appeared earlier.
Because towards the end, PL obviously ran out not only of steam but also of ideas, everything culminated in a wildly illogical scenario. Steve has to live through a dramatic day with Eddie, who stands as a metaphor for Steve (as I said, PTSD was never a thing for Super SEAL), Danny bangs his brains out in a ladies' room with a complete stranger, who dies shortly after that in an accident with Danny's rental car. Apparently, there was no budget to turn the Camaro into scrap metal. Danny then also goes home alone, ignoring the incoming emergency vehicles. Everything remains open at the end of the episode. While Steve expresses his gratitude to Tani and Quinn and says, he would be just as lost as poor Eddie without the dog and all of them. The strange thing is that you never notice anything until that sentence. A few forced dialogues are supposed to make the drama visible, but they all happen way too late or are so poorly written that you miss them.
PL had decided early on to make Steve a Teflon hero. That also means he didn't need to put much substance into the character. Which you can clearly see if you compare the first three seasons to the rest of the series. But towards the end, PL wanted to turn the tide and forcefully rewrote Steve's past. There is a huge difference if you compare Steve from seasons 1 to 3 with Steve from season 10. It is only a sparse remnant of what made this character so great. This change in Steve's personality also affects his relationship with Danny. The witty, affectionate banter degenerates into a snappy, humorless bitch-fest that takes all the joy out of it.
The final two episodes could have been written for any other crime show. As mentioned, we have Cole, who even gets a book'em Cole from Steve, which can only be described as out of line. And it begs the question, was that what Lenkov originally had in mind? Danny out of the show and Cole in? Was the last episode, which mainly featured McCole, something of a test run? Did all the McDanno moments happen only to tear the two apart eventually? Was the real final scene the one where Steve and Catherine take Danny's coffin back to Jersey? Was Danny not supposed to survive? Was that the real reason Steve wanted to get out of Hawaii because he wanted to pay his respects to Danny? And would he really have returned to Hawaii later? Or would he have turned his back on Hawaii? To me, this ending is more plausible than what PL served us. Then, Steve handed over his credentials to Cole instead of Danny, his second in command. Honestly, you can't make the end of a series any more sloppy and dumber than that. And I won't even lose a word about the last 1:30 minutes because I think everything has already been said.
No PL, mission absolutely not accomplished. You created Teflon-Steve. You never wanted him to show any weakness. You turned him into a superhuman who can survive anything. Only to pull the rug out from under him on the last few meters to the finish line and spit on his legacy. How can you dismantle such a great series and its characters like you did? How much do you have to hate something to do that? In the final interviews, the showrunner didn't exactly cover himself in glory either. Everyone who grew up with the series from day one knows that its end was wrong on all the possible levels and that the showrunner is solely to blame for that. It takes a fair amount of egoism and carelessness to drive 10 years at full throttle against the wall. Not many people can do that. Whether you can be proud of that, however, I doubt.
My respect if you have made it this far. Each of you gets 10 extra brownie points for it.

Your heart out on the asphalt
Ao3 | 2.1k | Rated: Teen | Tarlos angst
Summary  A serial bomber who uses bomb vests as their calling card is on the loose and they are targeting spouses of members of the police department. Unfortunately for Carlos, TK becomes their next victim.
For @silvarafael‘s prompt request: angst #36 - “Don’t tell me to calm down!” + tarlos
TK was missing.
Unable to be reached.
Nowhere to be found.
Missing.
It had been 24 hours since anyone had seen him last, when he had left the station after a shift, on his way to his dad's ahead of Captain Strand for their weekly dinner. He never made it.
24 hours wasn’t a long time, not even long enough for them to file a missing person’s report but the captain knew something was wrong. It wasn’t until they had tracked TK's phone to a back-alley dumpster that they could only assume the worst. He had been taken by the serial bomber, just like the other victims, it was the only assumption that Carlos could make, though he didn’t know why he was a target.
TK would be the fourth in a string of abductions, and as it turned out, became the missing link to all of the officers that were connected to the other victims, each being a spouse of an officer. He and TK had been dating for a little over year, which seemed to be enough for the serial bomber to consider him spousal material. The details didn’t matter to Carlos, all his thoughts were on TK and what his fate would be because of their relationship.
And that’s when he found him.
Carlos lost his breath all at once and for a moment all he could do was sit in shock as his car idled in the street. There TK was, with arms bound in front of him and his head bowed as he sat cross-legged on the dusty, worn asphalt lit by the Camaro’s headlights like spotlights in the late afternoon shadows.
And then TK lifted his head, even from this distance, Carlos could see his eyes shining with unshed tears as he took in the car before him. Carlos could see the bruising gash stretching across TK’s temple and the dry, crusted blood that had dripped down the side of his face. Carlos watched, unable to breathe when he saw the recognition blanket TK’s face and it was only then that the tears began to fall.
Carlos couldn’t recall when he got out of the car or when he called his Captain’s direct line, passing on the pertinent details as he was trained to do. All he knew was the smell of the tar that had been cooling from the then-gone afternoon sun. He wasn’t sure he’ll ever be able to forget the scent after that day.
He remembered feeling the rough, loose grit that scraped his hands and knees through his pants as he skidded down to land himself in front of TK; The way the small fragments of gravel clung to his hands as they ghosted around TK’s body, too afraid to touch him in fear of setting off the crude vest attached to his chest, like what happened with the first person.
“Carlos…” TK whispered as the tears ran steadily in tracks down his face. It was enough to break him out of whatever trance that he’d fallen into upon seeing his boyfriend in the street.
“I’m here. Everything will be okay.” He said as he gently palmed TK’s cheek for a second in an attempt to reassure him despite the frantic tone of his voice.
“You shouldn’t be here,” murmured TK, “This is what he wanted.”
“What do you mean? Who did this?”
“I don’t know who he is, but he’s watching from the street cameras. Said he’d set it off if I moved…” The vest beeped once, the sound coming from behind a small panel on the front. Carlos gingerly peeled it back to reveal a countdown that was trending downwards, “…and said he’d start the timer as soon as he saw you.”
02:58
02:57
02:56
Carlos looked down at the phone that he had haphazardly dropped beside him when he reached TK’s side, remembering that he was still on the line with his Captain. He picked it up with a shaky hand and described the device strapped to TK. From here he learned that his Captain had also added to the call the leader of the bomb squad who was already on the move to their location.
They weren’t going to make it in time to diffuse.
The bomber had made sure of that.

He had left them just enough time to say their goodbyes, but Carlos was not ready for that just yet. Staring hard at the device, an idea began to form, and he spoke hurriedly to the bomb squad leader, asking if she’d be able to possibly guide him in diffusing it himself if he showed her the vest through video call.
She had quickly agreed understanding there to be no other option, and listed what he would need, which he thankfully had in his Camero should he ever need to do any simple repairs. Carlos hurried to retrieve them before returning, glancing briefly at the countdown as he felt his whole body break out in nervous sweating over what he was about to do.

TK mirrored him and looked down at the countdown and also saw how little time Carlos had causing him to look back up sharply, “Carlos, you don’t have the time for all this! Just GO! Save yourself, please!” he pleaded in a rush, voice panicked as he tried to push at Carlos’s shoulder awkwardly with his bound hands in an attempt to get him to leave.
02:01
It doesn’t take much for him to catch TK’s hands and hold them in place against his struggling, “TK I need you to calm down.”
“Don’t tell me to calm down!” TK exclaimed mostly out of fear than anger, “I have a bomb strapped to my chest, and I don’t want you to die with me if it goes off!”
Carlos changed tact and released TK’s hands in favour of grasping the back of his neck, forcing his boyfriend to look at him, “Look at me TK. I can do this. Trust me.”
01:54
TK let out a shaky breath and almost inaudibly whispered, “I trust you, of course, I trust you.” as he settled under Carlos’s steady gaze before he released his neck and studied the wires that he could see
Carlos set the phone down and listened to the instructions given to him and exposed the wire port to the device. He picked it up again showing her what he could now see. It was a chaotic bundle of multiple coloured wires complicating the system, but the chief was pretty confident in what she saw and what wire he needed to cut in order to diffuse it safely.
00:32
TK caught his wrist, stopping him as he steadied himself to make the cut, “TK we don’t have time for this.” He uttered tersely, heart racing at the thought that this could be their last moment if the chief was wrong.
00:24
“Just let me do this part Carlos and you can go; you still have time to get far enough away to be safe,” implored TK.
00:16
Carlos shook his head again, not even considering leaving him as an option, not when his heart had already decided that TK was it for him. He didn’t think his heart would be able to survive it if he left him here, “If we’re doing this, we’re doing it together.”
00:11
He bit his bottom lip and slot the scissors over the yellow wire, making eye contact with TK as he does so before TK pre-emptively squeezes his eyes shut.
“I love you TK.”
He cuts the wire.

The timer continued to flash the same number. 8 seconds. 8 seconds between life and death.
Tears of relief sprung to Carlos’s eyes, and he let out an audible gasp, realising he’d been holding his breath for some time. TK opened his eyes at the sound, glanced down, and shut them again as a sob bubbled out of his chest and he pitched forward, sagging in relief against Carlo’s chest with his forehead on his shoulder.
Carlos caught him, wrapping his arms around him gently, being mindful of the vest as they both panted heavily from the adrenaline of the drawn-out moment. Eventually, TK pulled back, eyes red and puffy from the tears that were now soaked into Carlos’s shoulder.
“Why would you risk yourself like that?” He asked, voice shaky with emotion, “You could have blown up with me instead of being safe.”
Carlos cupped TK’s cheek, gently brushing a thumb along the ridge of his cheekbone, wiping at the residual rivulets of tears, “Because there wasn’t a chance in hell that I would give you up so easily, even if it meant us blowing up together.”
It’s then that they’re interrupted by the sound of arriving emergency vehicles, and most importantly the bomb squad. Carlos sat back on his haunches glancing down at TK’s hands. He picked up the scissors that he’d dropped in surprise when TK fell into him and started working on the duct tape binding on TK’s wrist.
By the time he was done, the bomb technicians were at their side with a lead-lined box held between them. He watched warily as they carefully took the vest off TK, placing it resolutely into the box for safe detonation, and took it back to their armored truck.
Carlos took in their still seated position and moved to stand up, offering his hand to TK as he did so. TK slotted his hand in his with a smile and Carlos pulled him up where their eyes met again and this time they crashed into each other once again, tightly wrapping their arms around each other and finding themselves breathing in the soothing scent of the other.
As they slowly began to disentangle, Carlos felt TK’s body waver and he saw TK’s eyebrows knit together as he brought a hand up to his injured temple as he took a faltering half-step backwards. He nearly collapsed if Carlos didn’t still have his arms around him and supported his weight as the paramedics picked up their speed with the gurney that they had on standby and brought it to them, helping Carlos to guide TK to lie on the bed.
He doesn’t move from the gurney’s side as they wheeled it back to the ambulance, stopping for a moment when TK reached out to him, dragging him close enough that he could get his hand on Carlos’s cheek and pulled his face close enough the Carlos could feel his breath on his lips.
“I love you too. Thank you for staying.” TK whispered and guided Carlos down until their lips met for a quick and gentle kiss. They parted after a beat as the paramedics returned to take him to the hospital.
He watched as the ambulance drove away, wanting more than anything to be in the back of it with TK, but he still had a duty to debrief with his Captain who had surprisingly joined them out in the field. It was there in the debrief that he fould out they had figured out why the specific officers spouses had been targeted.  it was a revenge story. Some twisted sense of justice from a time when he was still a rookie, the first trial he had to testify at. The bomber had been targeting anyone involved from the department. And they were already on the move to find the man responsible.
By the time that he'd finished debriefing and made his way to the hospital, he found TK already set up in his own room, hooked up to an I.V. for dehydration and butterfly strips over the gash on his temple.
“Hey.” TK said softly from the bed when he noticed him in the doorway.
“Hey. How’s the head?”
“Throbbing, about as bad as my last abduction.”
Carlos sighed and sat down in the chair next to him, picking up his hand, “The fact that you have something like that to compare it to is a worry. Actually, the fact that you’ve already been in the hospital multiple times since I’ve known you is a worry.”
TK shrugged his shoulders with a smirk, “Unfortunately for you, this is what you’ve signed up for. I’ve already made my peace with it.”
Carlos rolled his eyes and chuckled, “Well I guess I’ll have to make my peace with it too.”
He just adds this moment to the now slowly growing list of the most terrifying moments of his life, the other being their home burning to the ground. He was grateful that overall both incidences had resulted in their relative safety. All he could do was hope against all hope that there won't be any more in their immediate future.
