Killer Klowns from Outer Space stitched and designed by stitchwitch77.
“Finished this beast last night! 86,000 stitches, self-drafted manually. So I draft in a program, but I hand draw and color all of it. I don't like confetti or 800 different colors so the image importing doesn't work for me. With room for framing the finished piece is 16x21.”
Would you be able to list any other TV episodes that inspired you to write the other cases in "Astray in the Metropolis"?
Sorry that it took so long to answer this! Some of these episodes come from shows that ended years ago (like... WAY before COVID-19). But here's the list of (almost) every episode I found to the best of my memory!
Barodius/counterfeit meds:
Leverage 01x11 "The Juror #6 Job" (dangerous pharmaceuticals)
Leverage 02x15 "The Maltese Falcon Job" (ransacked hotel room)
CSI Miami 03x21 "Recoil" (courthouse shooting)
Klaus/art scam:
Leverage 05x10 "The Frame-Up Job" (backbone of the plot)
The Listener 04x02 "The Blue Line" (ADVANCED. PENETRATING. BULLETS.)
Hydron/Jesse election fiasco:
Leverage 01x02 "The Homecoming Job" (leaked audio scene)
CSI New York 02x06 "Youngblood" (steering wheel lock as a gun)
Mira's faction is based on Judge Deakin's group of vigilante judges from NCIS 16x21-22 "Judge, Jury..." + "...and Executioner", & the upcoming arc with the C-4 is seen in plenty of shows. (What would a police procedural drama be without illegal explosives? XD)
Since several of these episodes aren't easily available on YouTube (& some websites can't be cited/linked on Tumblr), I captured the "here's what happened" scene from Leverage 05x10 "The Frame-Up Job", in which the scene where Shun found Alice at gunpoint is based on:

Homemade Heaven: Irresistible Cinnamon Bun Recipe to Sweeten Your Day
Welcome to the world of warm, gooey goodness – the realm of homemade cinnamon buns! There's nothing quite like the aroma of cinnamon and sugar wafting through your kitchen, signaling the arrival of these delectable treats. Whether you're a seasoned baker or a novice in the kitchen, this easy-to-follow cinnamon bun recipe is sure to make you a star in your own home.
Ingredients: For the Dough:
1 cup warm milk
2 tablespoons active dry yeast
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
For the Filling:
1 cup brown sugar, packed
3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
For Icing Frosting:
1 cup icing sugar
1/3 milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
Activate the yeast: In a bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and a pinch of sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
Prepare the dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the yeast mixture, melted butter, sugar, salt, and eggs. Gradually add in the flour, stirring until a soft dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic.
Rise and rest: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until it doubles in size.
Roll it out: Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface into a 16x21-inch rectangle.
Create the filling: In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon. Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the buttered surface.
Roll it up: Starting from the long edge, roll the dough into a log. Slice the log into 12 equal pieces.
Arrange and rise: Place the cinnamon bun slices in a greased baking pan, leaving a little space between each. Cover the pan and let the buns rise for another 30 minutes.
Bake to perfection: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the cinnamon buns for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Make the icing frosting: While the buns are baking, whip up the frosting by combine milk, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Frost and indulge: Once the cinnamon buns are out of the oven, let them cool slightly before generously spreading the icing frosting over the top.
Conclusion: There you have it – a divine recipe for homemade cinnamon buns that will surely become a family favorite. Whether enjoyed with a cup of coffee in the morning or as a sweet treat after dinner, these irresistible buns are a delightful way to add a touch of warmth and sweetness to any day. Happy baking!
My thoughts as I’m watching 24 seasons of law & order svu:
Season 16
16x01, start of Carisi. Did Benson just threaten to have the perp killed?
16x02, I like that Carisi is layered and not just agrees with the senior detectives. This episode seems extremely racist.
16x03, is it a smart move to have Amaro talk to the "accuser" of the woman who accused him of sexual harassment? Slitting one's wrists would bleed a lot more than that. I’m very distracted by the lawyer's crooked nose.
16x04, feeling for a pulse on the posterior tibial artery was an interesting choice by Benson, like why not go for the carotid artery? And they left the wrapping on Noah’s i.v. Bandage…
16x06, I really like Carisi, which surprised me. Mostly because I’m still meh about Amaro and Rollins. Also, that girl needs some serious help!
16x07, that dig at Stabler was not necessary!
16x11, if nothing else, I at least enjoyed the opening song.
16x12, I guess this is how Tucker and Benson start.
16x13, Benson really seems to like to leak to the press. Carisi is still my fave, just calling people out.
16x15, Declan is back.
16x16, I get why the Barba/Benson ship exists, doesn't mean I ship it though.
16x17, seeing all the men excusing the rape of them as sex is really hard to watch!
16x21, Cragen is back.
16x23, Not sure how I feel about Benson and Amaros final conversation. I kind of doubt that she didn't grow during the Stabler era. In fact, it kinda renders the first 12 seasons story arc useless according to her. Because there was definitely a difference between season one Benson and season twelve’s. I appreciate that she acknowledged how consuming the relationship (or whatever it was) with Stabler was. And also kind of annoyed that she specifically says, that with him (Amaro) and his support she now has a family. As that implies that had Stabler been her partner, she wouldn't have adopted Noah. Considering how supportive Stabler was of her getting a family, I find that implication wrong. And correct me if I’m wrong, but Amaro didn’t really play a part in the adoption arc? Now if she had said she’d grown on a professional level, I could somewhat support that, seeing as she made sergeant. Then again, we didn't really see a lot of Amaro/Benson as partners. It took a while until they were partnered up, then he got demoted so they didn't work together, and finally she made sergeant, and again they didn't really work together. So maybe she was able to grow because that partnership never got so familiar and intense? Maybe this is also because of shipper glasses and a general lack of care of Amaro's character, what do I know?!
Benson seems to mostly be whispering this season, and I don’t know why.
"Mute that witch!" Carisi 16x13
"Am I right, councillor?" "Seldom" Carisi and Barba 16x16
