For all the jokes about Trazyn and Orikan being grumpy old men (which are hilarious), it is striking to me just how young they must have been when biotransference happened. Sure, as robots now they are millions of years old, but as necrontyr they were max 40? 50? That’s about as old as any of them ever managed to get, and that’s if they were lucky. And those few years were important, those were the formative memories/ideas/personalities that got immortalized. Or, in summation, Trazyn and Orikan aren’t grumpy old men, they are grumpy middle aged men, which honestly explains where the energy comes from.

this weekend (at my grandmother’s 80th birthday party) I learned:

-she and my grandfather met at a high school square dance

-he broke up with his girlfriend to date her instead

-65 years later she and the ex are on the same town committee

((Today is my only day off until Thursday (I also have Friday off!) but I won’t be around a lot. I’ll be away from my laptop most of the day and when I get home I have to shower, eat dinner, and etc before I get to bed because I have to be up early tomorrow for work oTL

That said, as a reminder- I work retail and the worst part of the holiday season starts this weekend. Our hours change, so I’ll have some 6am shifts or pull late shifts, AND we have consistent snow already which is only gonna get worse from here so, ya know, coupled with work stress, my mood is gonna be off a lot more, too ^^;  So my activity is gonna be kind of all over the place until January when things calm back down a little. 

That said- I love you guys and I hope you’re all doing well! <3 I’ll try to be around a  little bit later tonight, but no promises ^^;))

#ooc. #((It was literally only a couple weekends ago that it was 65 degrees for one final nice day... and since then it's been all snow and cold;; #I need to live somewhere warmer. I swear. This walking to work thru snowbanks and super low temps #is just not working for me anymore;; #I mean it's in the 20s right now for temps (Fahrenheit btw) but the coldest temps I've walked to work in so far #have been -20s and when it was COLDER THAN THAT on a work day last winter January #I called out and my manager gave me hell about it like- #dude you know I walk. My literal eyeballs are gonna freeze if I try to make it to work in -40 degree weather. Uh uh. Nope. Not doing it. #Anyway- retail is hell all year round but especially at Christmas because everyone is rushing to do last minute shopping #AND they're already stressed too so they're extra mean all the time :) And we're always understaffed #So THAT'S FUN. #Okay now I have to get out of here because I've got errands to run ^^; I'll be mobile a little but not much! #So talk to ya'll later <3))

A crazy thing is that The Boy In The Box case has been on my mind all week this week and they've apparently just found out his identity. I don't know why I was thinking about this case so much but finding out this news, I'm so fucking happy. I was literally thinking about it yesterday and today like 'I wish they could give that kid justice. I wish they could just find out who he was' and they finally might be able to. Not full justice as I'm sure his killers are likely dead by now, but after 65 years that boy will finally have his name be known. In my mind, he will finally be able to be buried with his name and put to rest. He'll finally have peace after 65 years.

#Literally feel like crying #He was so young and so mistreated #I'm weirded out by how I felt so connected to the case this week out of nowhere #I've literally not looked at this case for years and think about it every so often but it was literally constant this week #And the fact my exact thoughts were like 'I just wish we will find out one day through DNA or something' and that's. That's what happened #If there's an afterlife I hope he's able to get closure from this #It's one of those cases I've always looked at and thought 'I wish I could've been there to help him' #Whether that's as someone who managed to intervene and stop his death or was a neighbour of his who realised he had a bad home life #And was able to adopt him or something #He deserved so much fucking better #I just wanna hug him #I hope he's happy wherever he is #Rest in peace kid #Know that you were/are/always will be loved. One day before orientation starts, one week before classes start, and my car has decided to start doing some special stuff that tells me I’m gonna have a check engine light here soon if I don’t do something about it. Go figure.

#random #random rant #delete later #I JUST had preventative maintenance in July and everything was FINE! #alright but it is a 13 year old car (nearly 14) that’s never had spark plugs replaced so it’s kind of fair #but go figure it’d have problems right AFTER I move and no longer have family nearby to help me drop off or pick up from service #those hills on the highway in the 65 mph zones are very suddenly NOT friends #having the engine misfire on the highway while trying to maintain speed uphill and surge with a dancing RPM needle was not fun :( #still okay in the city -so it’s gonna be taking the long way everywhere until it gets fixed
