I had my orientation today!! TL;DR Orientation and beginnings of chinese medicine school

It was SO cool. We started out with a little meet and greet, then did some Qigong together as a group. Then we split up and my group went downstairs and got acupuncture done on us 😂😂 it was auricular acupuncture, which I didn't know can be left in wayy longer than body needles. I also got some ear seeds for the first time, which I think is funny that I've been getting acupuncture monthly for like a couple of years at this point and I've never had that done.

Then we had a mini lecture and then lunch. Then, got a tour of the place and introduction to most of the admin staff and then got some clerical and IT stuff done. Then it was time to go

Honestly, it's all still wildly like. Surreal to me. That I'm at the school, and that clasSES START NEXT WEEK?! Like whattt

All of the staff and faculty had this WONDERFUL energy to them. They all LOVE the medicine, it clearly shows. But they also just... love being in the community and helping students and just people in general. And the upper classman and interns I interacted with - they all have this... confidence, and this air about them, that honestly is like, super admirable. They just seemed so... comfortable, in them selves and with the medicine and everything. I hope I can be like that one day

Overall it was really cool! I'm a bit nervous for classes, because I've been told 5 or 6 times now by upper classmen that the first year is super intense and overwhelming and it won't make a whole lot of sense - which is planned and okay. I'm just curious to see how the workload is going to be. But I'm already bracing myself - I am taling 13 classes this first fall term so 😅😂

Dream - Something About Angst

people swayed as the narrative played,

i rocked.

Something about angst and anguish,

and finally

felt what others, who suffered

felt.

There was a room we could go if we got overwhelmed

at first when i felt it i thought to stay for the rest, out of respect for those with nowhere to go. but was relieved when, at

the point my tears flowed so freely,

so many others, also overcome,

made simultaneous exit to the

room

where words were no longer needed,

everybody knew.

with one broken heart, her voice carrying
