Two things I keep thinking about,

1.

When he's holding the drawings, the heart that Buck drew, not the actual heart that Christopher drew, is the one that Eddie holds with his left hand.

On his left side, like the heart's actual anatomical space.

2.

In 5x15, there was the case with the guy with his heart on the right side.

This is a medic's job, but we see Buck helping Hen.

And he looks traumatized and worried, this shouldn't touch him, he should even find it fascinating, standing back with L and Bobby, but that's not what happened.

"His heart is on the wrong side."

This felt so connected to the buddie scene in 5x14, imo Buck didn't misunderstand the assignment, he's one of the smartest ppl in the 118, but I think he tried to get a smile out of Christopher and left it on the table, hoping it would have the same effect on Eddie.

And maybe say something heartfelt without actually saying it. 😉

And maybe Eddie heard it...?

no but the best part of this season is how there’s this emphasis on being true to who you are, finding yourself at any age, and learning to work past hurdles and normalising therapy/mental health and a bunch of other things that I’m vibrating at a frequency too high to say and basically even though eddie isn’t at the 118, he’s still a very active part of all the “messages” of the rescues, and like the parallels keep building up the fact that he’s going to try and reconcile with his own parents, after assumingly reconciling with himself and if that isn’t the most queercoded thing ever—
