Avemetatarsalia: the group that includes Pterosaurs and Dinosaurs
As per usual, you have everything you need to care for the animal and are completely prepared. The animal will not eat you and will be your companion. Yes, even the Azhdarchids. If you can ride a T. rex into traffic, you can ride a Quetzalcoatlus into the clouds.
I had to extend beyond dinosaurs for this poll because, unfortunately, most flying birds aren't quite big enough, and also, I know we all want to ride pterosaurs.
Assume all options can hold your weight because I'm not sure any could and this is just for fun

i seriously wish i could personally see a living pterosaur in person more than any other group of extinct animal, like. despite having learned so much about them and generally understanding what they would have looked like, not to mention recent media like prehistoric planet depicting them in such a lifelike way, i still think it would be hard to comprehend the sight of one in the flesh. i think an azhdarchid would be a more terrifying sight than pretty much anything i can think of

"Manifest Future"
40x20'', acrylics on canvas.
Four of the largest flying animals ever, Arambourgiania, encounter a large flock of Barbaridactylus as they make their way through the sunsets of the Upper Maastrichtian, 66 million years ago. Painted this while feeling hopeful for the future I have with my partner, and feeling happy that our time apart under long distance, is slowly getting less emotionally taxing, as it's been at least three months. She taught me to be positive, and I took it in strides, remaining strong for her and painting this as a manifestation of what I wanted. A new future. A new beginning. Together.

I LOVE PTEROSAURS! They are so good they are either the scrungliest beast alive or a literal dragon and they deserve so much more love.
ya!! i lov them sm . azhdarchids are my fave i think but i need to look into different pterosaurs more.. i just really like quetzacoatlus and hatzegopteryx . also arambourgiania philadelphiae, mostly just because of the mark witton illustration of them. i just like how huge and strange they are. big big big storks. and i like their theorised sounds.. idk i feel attached to them theyre v cool

Height charts, who doesn’t love ‘em? I’m trying to think together a story about my dino characters.
All of these guys (Except fungus, the sauropod) are from an ARPG on deviantart, but I wanted to make something dinosaur related of my own with these guys so I’ve diverged quite a bit from their canon designs. I figured that if I’ve got dino characters already kicking around, why not just rework them?
I’d think this version of these guys would take place around 66 mya. In order I’ve got: -Fungus, in the shape of a sauropod (Their favorite kind of dinosaur!) -Lyocell, a parasaurolophus who was granted immortality by Fungus and has found her way across the Western Interior Seaway recently -Asparagus, an arambourgiania (Originally a therizinosaurus... but for location purposes that didn’t really work...) -Seltzer, a teeny tiny seabird of some sort who likes to hang out on Galgithor -Galgithor, a dryptosaurus who’s missing an arm (And really wants to kill Lyocell)
But those are just my names for them. They’d probably know each other by other identities. Fungus is often known as a behemoth of bleached muscle, for example.

Speculative color patterns and geographical range aside, what's the difference between Quetzalcoatlus and Hatzegopteryx?
Hatzegopteryx probably had a similar wingspan and overall dimensions to Quetzalcoatlus northropi (the larger species of Quetz), but the main difference seems to be that Hatzegopteryx was more robust, with thicker bones and a potentially wider skull. This is with the caveat that both Hatzegopteryx and Q. northropi are very incomplete, and most of what we know about Quetzalcoatlus comes from the smaller species, Q. lawsoni.
Tumblr media
This diagram by Mark Witton, while somewhat outdated at this point, shows just how incomplete Hatzegopteryx (A) is, the only known bones are shown in white. However, some distinction is already clear between the thicker bones of Hatzegopteryx vs the more gracile Q. lawsoni (D) and Arambourgiania (C)
It's important to stress that currently, there is no such thing as "The Biggest Pterosaur (TM)" because all the giant azhdarchids are so fragmentary that any meaningful size comparison is difficult. We know there seems to have been an upper wingspan limit of around 9-10 metres, a space filled by Q. northropi, Hatzegopteryx, Arambourgiania, Cryodrakon, and Thanatosdrakon. If any one of those was bigger than the others, it's a matter to be resolved by future discoveries.
