Good Morning!☀️

Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me. Psalms 66:20 KJV

The writer of this Psalms 66 is testifying to God's power and all that God has done for him. He encourages the reader and those listening to it being song to worship God with him.

He speaks of how God brought him through tough times; through "water and through fire." (Verse 12a)He celebrates the fact that he has made it through and is now in "A wealthy place." (Verse 12b)

He goes on to relate how God heard, accepted, and responded to his prayer.

At times, we have had encounters with those who refuse to hear us or accept what we have to say. Others have heard or accepted what we had to say but did not respond. The Psalmist testifies that God accepted his prayer and extended his mercy towards him.

If you're on the app, immediately go to your dms and then "add friends". After the latest update they allow your contacts to find you and have that option turned on by default, so make sure it's unchecked!

This is very obviously not great for a multitude of reasons, but especially for people in vulnerable positions who do not want people in their contacts to see who they are on discord and/or know they have discord in the first place. I've also tried finding out if this is a thing on desktop but haven't been able to find any mention of it, so either it's not a "feature" (yet) or they've hidden it. Either way, stay safe, and turn off finding friends via contacts!

Like was such a legit game changer for me as a kid

I remember that family and grownups and other kids at school would tell me in a sort of mean-spirited way "you look/sound/act/dress/talk like a boy" and I'd just be like

it drives me bonkers the way people don't know how to read classic books in context anymore. i just read a review of the picture of dorian gray that said "it pains me that the homosexual subtext is just that, a subtext, rather than a fully explored part of the narrative." and now i fully want to put my head through a table. first of all, we are so lucky in the 21st century to have an entire category of books that are able to loudly and lovingly declare their queerness that we've become blind to the idea that queerness can exist in a different language than our contemporary mode of communication. second it IS a fully explored part of the narrative! dorian gray IS a textually queer story, even removed from the context of its writing. it's the story of toxic queer relationships and attraction and dangerous scandals and the intertwining of late 19th century "uranianism" and misogyny. second of all, i'm sorry that oscar wilde didn't include 15k words of graphic gay sex with ao3-style tags in his 1890 novel that was literally used to convict him of indecent behaviour. get well soon, i guess...
