Imagine then op a gâteau cake with a little cat face on it like a Colin the caterpillar cake. I think it be cute, if not a bit silly.
a wonderful mental image. I've just looked up this colin fellow for the first time and he is darling. those cakes are adorable. here is my ode, a colin the caterpillar and a gâteau gato:
[ID: a cartoony digital drawing of two anthropomorphic characters: colin the caterpillar, a light yellow caterpillar with four arms dressed in a brown puffy vest and pilka dot pants, holding hands with gâteau gato, a tortoise shell cat in a sweater, jeans, and with a birthday cake on her head. end ID]

I don’t know about the Colin cake can you explain??
Colin the Caterpillar is possible one of the most ‘British’ things out there.
M&S is a British department store that also sells food. In the British Supermarket tier system, it is your top tier. They sell a kids birthday cake that is a chocolate Swiss roll, covered in hard chocolate with a white chocolate face stuck on the front. They made him into a character and they called him Colin. If you got a Colin the Caterpillar cake as a kid, it was a big deal.
Thing is M&S cake is actually really good and now the people who wanted Colins as kids are all grown up and still wanting Colins for nostalgia’s sake and so it’s not such much a kids cake anymore as just a really popular yet overpriced birthday cake.
Colin is so popular now that M&S have released a whole range of ‘Colin’ branded food. There’s jumbo Colin (which is what George got - £45 for a cake that serves 40!) there’s mini colins, there’s Colin spread, Colin gummies, I got a Colin brownie mix for Xmas, and there’s the BEST Colin product - the Colin cake jar which is just cake, buttercream, ganache and chocolate chips mixed in a pot together and it is DIVINE and better than the actual Swiss roll imo.
Colin is so popular now that he has a girlfriend called Connie (the same but with pink sprinkles) and every UK supermarket has their own version with their own name, like Clyde, Wiggles, Cuthbert, Curly etc… but Colin is the OG. Colin has even taken the other caterpillar cakes to court to prove he is the OG (no that’s not even a joke).
Basically Colin is a legend, (along with Percy Pig, who is M&S’s character from their blackcurrant and raspberry foam gummy’s). If you get a true, legit Colin rather than a cheap knockoff, then you are an incredibly lucky person. It is a top tier supermarket cake.

Fun fact: Xavier does not like Charles. Xavier shall always and forever stand with Diana.
Either way, Colin the Caterpillar will always be the true king in my heart.

✿ Colin the Caterpillar |

hi OP i followed because i’m still laughing over your colin the caterpillar post a day later 😭 anyways idk how unhinged it actually is but i think about this tweet about jonny’s olive oil at least once a day so why not submit it lol
Oh no, this tweet is definitely unhinged enough to be posted here.
I find it fitting that said signed olive oil was extra virgin specifically. [laugh track]
