I'm the Patrick Bateman anon - could you maybe do a scenario where the reader is a very hard working person? may it be like, patrick comforting them after a rough day at work, the both of them unwinding together now that they both get the chance, etc...
PATRICK BATEMAN WITH A HARD WORKING S/O
You came home to the shared high rise apartment feeling exhausted. Your feet ached from being up on them all day, running important files back and forth between the people who had to sign each and every page. You had walked several blocks in the rain after work to get a good taxi and the world seemed to want to spit on you even after you pulled off a signed deal at work that no one else had been able to manager for the past two months. Karma had rewarded you by spitting at your face and laughing at the way you tripped over her shoe laces and, for a long moment, you considered quitting your job and stealing all of your work’s funds to run away to the Baltics. Starting a life as a sheep herder in the mountains there wouldn’t be so bad, would it?
You didn’t notice when you sat on the couch, leaning your head back on the top of it with a sigh. You didn’t notice, also, when Patrick came home. Was he home the whole time? You didn’t know. You only noticed him when he extended a small tumblr of whiskey on the rocks to you in one slender, careful hand.
“Work went well, I take it?”
You answered his question with a groan as you all but downed half the glass.
Patrick came up behind you, his fingers feather light as he touched your shoulders before digging in sharper to begin a massage on the tense muscles. You hummed in appreciation for the feeling, tilting your head to one side to allow him better access to the knots of stress that had accumulated deep within your tendons.
“I closed the Lankson and Dundin accounts,” You stated lazily, “At the same time.”
“Wh-” Patrick seemed genuinely surprised at the news, “No one’s been able to close those deals for months.”
“No one’s tried hard enough.”
“Well, this calls for a celebration. I’ll make us reservations at that place you like and we can-”
“No,” You moaned, reaching up to take his hand in your own. He startled as you leaned forward to kiss his knuckles, making him grimace slightly at the contact, but he didn’t pull away. Contact was a little more pleasant when you were the one to provide it, he admitted. Still, he was growing used to it in ways outside of professionalism and murder. You could respect that.
“I want to stay in tonight. Just us two, okay? I need to unwind after that shit fest of a deal.”
Patrick smiled despite himself, his hands falling from your shoulders to walk around the couch. His music player was adjusted and, soon, the sound of Phil Collins’ soothing and familiar voice echoed itself throughout the pristine apartment. You couldn’t help but laugh a little at the mood music, but you didn’t find yourself alive enough to care as Patrick settled next to you, his shoulder touching your own fondly as he kissed the top of your head.
“We can make that arrangement,” Patrick purred, “We’ll order in.”
His hand entwined itself with yours willingly now, fingers squeezing your own as you took the opportunity to lean on him and sigh, taking in the scent of tea tree oil soaps and pressed laundry that permeated his outer facade. Beneath it you could smell the printer ink and plastic wrap that held itself in the underlay of his shirt, minty breath washing over your head as he kissed his way to your neck.
“You work too hard, [Y/N],” He commented lightly, a simple observation, “Why? Your minimal efforts usually just fine, you know, and none of those fuckwads in the office actually care about what you do, you know. Some barely know you exist. What’s the point?”
His hand squeezed tighter, as if he was working himself up as he continued.
“You could just let me take care of you.”
You kissed him then, a gentle peck parted with a smile.
“I like working for myself, Bateman. Accomplishing things and pushing myself? It’s what makes me feel more alive than dead in this world. It helps make me a person... I just like having someone to share my accomplishments like this. I don’t mind working hard if it means i can be my own person.”
Patrick watched you, dumbfounded, before giving a slow and semi-understanding nod. He didn’t actually get it, but, he knew what it was like to try and find yourself within the idea of yourself. Emotions were hard for him. Understanding was one of the hardest. So instead he leaned forward, pressing a kiss to your lips.
His kiss, as they always seemed to be, was slow and methodical. A patient thing built to make you lean into him and beg for more while he took his sweet time exploring every inch of your mouth, parting it with his tongue to explore deeper recesses then. He held you close, hands on your waist as you smiled into the intense kiss he offered you, hand resting on your neck to give the back of it gentle strokes with his thumb before he pulled away.
His eyes had grown dark. He had promises of other things that made your legs quiver as he growled softly.
“Then tonight, you’re mine. So let me take care of you.”

Aplicació del Programa BRIEF (Fòrum de Brigham per la Resiliència en la Pandèmia de COVID-19): Reunions comunicatives de 30 minuts de duració, dirigits per un equip de interprofessional i transmeses de forma diària a les 21h de forma virtual. Els participants són convidats a identificar, de forma anònima, els processos i protocols que estaven funcionant (Plus), que podien millorar (Delta) o proposar noves solucions (Innovacions & Suggeriments).
Les reunions van fomentar discussions entre professionals multidisciplinaris, resumint les seves experiències i permeten que els líders administratius realitzin canvis clínics que ajuden en els procediments al servei d’emergències.

New Blog: Trust
Hey Everyone! Another week has started and it is still cold up here in New England. I say that because a couple of authors were speaking about their gardens and what plants and flowers they were going to put in. I looked at my snowbankings, no long white and clean but black and dirty. Flowers are a long way off in my world.
This week has been one of sorrow and reflection. Too many thoughts to express here, but enough to know that I am feeling vulnerable and not secure. It only takes a whisper and a lack of support to have those feelings come tumbling down the hill like an avalanche. I am quite lucky though, because I have some of the best besties in the world. I will spend time this week considering why and how people think and the decisions they make, but not tonight. Tonight is about great reads and books!
I was lucky to be chosen to read a new book by Anna Gomez and Kristoffer Polaha. The novel called Moments Like This reminds us of the necessity of living in the moment and to enjoy the beauty all around us. Andie Matthews living the on the go business life realizes that she needs a break. She leaves Chicago for Hawaii to help her bestie run her coffee shop on the beach. She meets Warren Yates and well you will need to read the story. Andie will have decide to trust herself and allow her life to move on. I would also suggest you have coffee to drink, because they speak about coffee as if it is part of the love story and it is!
I also read other new novels. One was by Lora Leigh - Strong, Silent Cowboy. This one includes a really hot ex CIA agent turned cowboy and a woman who is being changed by unknown entities. Learning who to trust and allowing people to help her is a huge obstacle. BJ Daniels’ newest book from Buckhorn, Montana is more of a psychological thriller and I have to admit, I did not figure out who was doing all the killing! However my favorite of the new romantic suspense with a level of thriller element was the newest Christine Feehan novel with hot bikers with a paranormal twist and a definite ride on the wild side. In this novel we connect back with Torpedo Ink MC and their twisted upbringing which now allows them the level of life they live now, but needing to totally trust one another.
Interesting how each book had a strong message of trust.
Elise Cooper has sent us in a new book review by Nicole Severn’s book, The Witness. She labels it as a suspenseful mystery with a little romance thrown in. Her interview this week is with Sarah Dundin and her novel When Twilight Breaks. This novelis full of intrigue and suspense. It is set during the years in Germany before WWII started. Another interesting interview!
