2023 Birthday Oneshot
Like We Were Somewhere Else
Tumblr media
It’s their first New Year’s Eve since leaving Oz, and suffice to say, it’s not the New Year’s festivations that Fiyero is used to. In another time, another life, he knows exactly the kind of New Year’s Eve he’d give Elphaba. Then he decides that there’s nothing stopping him from doing just that. He just needs to get a little creative.
Musicalverse post-musical Fiyeraba New Year's Eve fluff... in May. Because why not?
This was supposed to be my oneshot for New Year's, and then I got COVID and then I got writer's block and then I couldn't rework it to be non-NYE related to make it not weird to post in May. So... Happy New Years?
This was initially inspired by Taylor Swift's 'Paris' (not the song from Midnights I thought I'd be writing about but whatever) and then I guess it took a little 'New Years Day' turn and then ended up as kinda neither. But here we are. Enjoy.

Elphaba let out a shaky breath as she covered Fiyero with a thick blanket, her eyes filled with tears. The spell had worked — Fiyero was human again.
The downside? Neither one of them had anticipated the pain that it caused him. Fiyero had screamed and writhed for an hour, Elphaba murmuring the same words over and over again, until finally he changed back to a human and immediately passed out. Maybe it was his exhaustion overtaking him, she didn’t know.
What she did know was that he hadn’t slept well since he became a scarecrow. And now that he was human again, she kept watch over him, just to ensure it wasn’t something temporary and they’d have to start all over again in their search for a spell to remedy what she’d caused in her desperation to save him.
“It’s fine, Fae,” he’d told her shortly after they had moved to the Vinkus. They had been promised solitude and Fiyero’s parents — who were two of the sweetest people Elphaba had ever met — had promised that no one would know their whereabouts.
“I don’t mind being a scarecrow. And I wouldn’t have minded if it had ended the other way.”
She always noticed how he avoided saying that he very well could have died. Fiyero was smart; he knew how to word things and get his point across without actually saying what he meant. And so, when an uncomfortable subject arose, Fiyero tried to take control of the situation and always managed to change the subject within five minutes.
Elphaba gazed down at him, a single tear falling onto her emerald skin as she pulled her fingers through his light brown hair. She had missed this. She had missed the sweet moments — playing with his hair, having him play with her hair, teasing him over his rosy cheeks when he’d been out in the cold too long, or having him grasp her hand and hold her close when she needed him to.
And while Elphaba was grateful the spell had worked and kept him alive, she had missed Fiyero being human. After all, they had reunited after being apart for two years, had ran off into the woods together, only to be separated again merely hours later. Elphaba had never been so grateful for her magic as she was in the moment she discovered that her spell had worked and Fiyero had been saved.
Fiyero had been a lot calmer than she’d expected about the entire ordeal, had even laughed when she told him that she would eventually find a way to turn him back. He’d waved it off, promising that it didn’t bother him much.
“Fae?” Fiyero croaked, turning his head toward her, his eyes barely opened, showing slivers of his blue irises.
“Yero,” she smiled softly, caressing his cheek. “How do you feel?”
“I think I’ve been hit by a cart. No, maybe it was a train. Train car. I was hit by a train car.”
Elphaba couldn’t help herself — she laughed. Fiyero, who was slightly more conscious than he had been a second ago, stared at her in bewilderment.
“I’m sorry, love, I’m sorry,” she chuckled. “You haven’t been hit by a cart, or a train, or a train car. It worked, Yero. It worked!”
Fiyero slowly lifted his left hand, his eyes widening when he realized that it was indeed a human hand. He sat up, throwing the blanket off and scrambling toward the mirror. He hesitantly brought a hand up, touching his face, letting out a breath as he gazed at his reflection — his human reflection — for the first time in months.
“Sweet Oz.”
Fiyero spun on his heel to face Elphaba, his eyes filled with disbelief and joy as he crossed the room, bending down and kissing her sweetly.
“I missed that,” he whispered as he pulled away, earning a breathless chuckle from her.
“So did I.”
“So… this is going to sound strange—“
“Everything you say sounds strange, Yero. What makes this any different?” she teased, earning an unamused look.
“I don’t remember what happened. Would you like to fill me in on that or are you going to keep it to yourself?”
“Well… we started it and it caused you a lot of pain. I’m pretty sure you screamed until you became human again — which took about an hour, by the way — and you’ve been sleeping ever since then.”
“Oh,” Fiyero blinked. “I… don’t remember any of that.”
“Maybe it’s best that you don’t.”
“Maybe…” he agreed softly, wiping the stray tear from her face. “How long was I out?”
“Just a couple of hours. I think you need to get back in bed. The adrenaline won’t last forever, and Oz knows what will happen when you have an adrenaline crash. You haven’t been human for months, Fiyero, please—“
“What are you so scared of?”
Elphaba stared at him for a moment, her dark eyes gazing into his blue ones. Eyes that sparkled with joy and concern, the two emotions somehow mixing and making Fiyero’s eyes shine brightly.
“I’m not entirely sure if it’s worked yet,” she admitted, hanging her head. “For all I know, it could be temporary and we have to start over again.”
“Is that all?” Fiyero sat down beside her, letting her lean her head against his shoulder. “Oz, Fae, you had me worried it was something serious. I don’t give a twig if we didn’t find the right one — I’m human now and that’s what matters. If it’s not right, well, we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. But for now, let’s enjoy this, hm?”
A comfortable silence befell them, Fiyero combing his fingers through Elphaba’s raven curls and allowing his fingertips to brush against the back of her neck. The silence lasted for all of forty-five seconds before Fiyero began to giggle with glee, putting Elphaba in mind of a small child.
“I can feel again, Fae!” He smiled brightly at her, shifting slightly. Elphaba lifted her head, allowing him to caress her face, then grasp both of her hands. “I… it feels amazing to be able to feel things again.”
“I’m glad,” Elphaba mumbled, observing him. She was certain that she’d never seen him look so overjoyed. “And I’m sorry. For everything.”
“What? For the scarecrow thing? I’ve told you before, Elphaba, I don’t mind that I ended up being a living scarecrow. You saved my life.”
“Not just that,” she shook her head. “I never meant to bewitch you. Or whatever I did. And I never intended for you to come with me when you and the other guards came in. I didn’t intend for you to think about the day in the clearing with the lion cub before I left for the Emerald City. There were a lot of things that happened that I didn’t want to happen, things that I didn’t intend to happen.”
“You didn’t bewitch me,” Fiyero rolled his eyes. “And I am fully aware that you never meant for any of the other things to happen. Those are on me, not you. Of course, if you’d been mad at me when you got mad at the rest of the class, we probably wouldn’t have had the day in the clearing, and we — well, I wouldn’t have realized that I love you.”
“You didn’t realize that until after I didn’t come back,” Elphaba reminded him.
“That’s beside the point.”
“It’s literally the only point, Fiyero.”
“Whatever,” Fiyero waved it off. “Come lie down with me. I want to hold you.”
Elphaba sighed and nodded, unable to deny him his request. How could she when he was glowing with the elation he felt? Fiyero was happy that he could feel again, so of course, one of his first thoughts is to hold her like he did every night.
Lying beside him, Elphaba turned onto her side, tucking her face into the crook of his neck. Fiyero wrapped his arms around her tightly and buried his nose in her hair.
“I missed this.”
“You still held me,” Elphaba countered, waiting to see what his response would be.
“But I couldn’t feel it. I couldn’t feel anything when I was a scarecrow. I like being able to play with your hair or rub your back. And I like being able to kiss you whenever I want to.”
Elphaba tilted her head upward, gazing up at him. Oz, she loved him. She loved Fiyero more than anything. And Fiyero loved her.
“For what it’s worth, I never believed you were wicked,” Fiyero spoke up, startling her out of her thoughts.
“Is that so?” She quirked a brow in amusement.
“Yes. I knew better than to believe the lies that the Wizard and Morrible told about you. Everyone else, on the other hand…” Fiyero shook his head. “I — I wanted to go looking for you after you disappeared. Glinda had come back and told me what happened, and I wanted to go find you. But somehow, she convinced me not to, and I stayed at Shiz.”
“You didn’t need to come searching for me. That would have put you in danger, just like this has put you in danger. You almost died because of me, Fiyero.”
“I would have done it in a heartbeat.”
Elphaba exhaled shakily, wrapping her arms around him. She had known that Fiyero was willing to risk his own life for her, and the thought terrified her. What if they ended up in a situation like that again and she couldn’t save him with a spell?
“Sweet Oz, Fae, I can hear you thinking,” he groaned, pressing a chaste kiss to her temple. “Stop thinking and try to rest. We both need sleep.”
“Oh, alright.”
The next morning, after he bathed, Fiyero had stumbled outside, making a startled noise as he tripped over his own feet and crashed onto the ground. He blinked, staring up at the sky for a moment before he burst into laughter.
Hearing the hysterical laughter, Elphaba made her way to the door of their home, smiling fondly when she saw her boyfriend sprawled on the ground, clutching his sides as he laughed. She leaned against the doorway, folding her arms over her chest while she watched him laugh, knowing that he was perfectly fine.
“What are you doing, Yero?” Elphaba queried, the smile still present. He turned his head toward her and started to laugh again.
“I fell,” he informed her.
“I can see that.”
“Do you know how long it’s been since I’ve been able to feel when I hit the ground?”
“A while.”
“Yeah,” he breathed, turning his head back. “I love being able to feel again. And I like being human. It’s a little easier to walk this way.”
“Well, you’re not going to go anywhere by staying on the ground, Yero.”
Fiyero snorted, glancing at her before he sat up.
“Oh, leave me alone.”
“Never.”
She approached him, stretching out her hand. Fiyero took it, allowing her to pull him to his feet.
“Thanks, Fae.” Fiyero pressed their foreheads together, sighing happily. “Oz, I missed all of this.”
“Yero, we were together one day before—“
“That doesn’t matter,” he interrupted. “What matters is that we’re together. And that I love you. I love you, Elphaba Thropp. I love everything about you.”
“And I you.”
Fiyero captured her lips in a tender kiss, one hand cupping her cheek while the other wrapped around her waist. Elphaba placed her hands on his biceps, slowly bringing them up to his face.
When they broke apart, Fiyero wore a boyish grin. Elphaba couldn’t stop the giggle that escaped her upon seeing his face, pressing another kiss to his cheek.
Fiyero gazed at her, brushing a single strand of her raven hair out of her face.
“You know,” he murmured, his fingers twisting the strand of hair, “I think I could get used to living like this.”
“Like what? Being a fugitive?” Elphaba asked dryly.
“We’re not fugitives,” Fiyero rolled his eyes. “We’re just… wanted by the Wizard for doing what’s right.”
“We’re still fugitives, Yero.”
“Whatever. Anyway, that’s not what I meant.”
“Then what did you mean?” She tilted her head slightly.
“I mean, I could get used to this. Us being together and being able to… I don’t know, make a life together or something. Stop looking at me like that, you know I’m not good with words.”
“You are excellent with words,” she laughed. “You just didn’t think that through very well.”
Fiyero laughed quietly, pulling her into an embrace.
“And besides, Fiyero, we’re living in the forest near your parents’ castle for a reason. It’s called necessity.”
“Oh my Oz, you’re impossible,” he huffed petulantly, burying his face in her hair. And of course, Elphaba began to laugh. It had been a while since she’d managed to make him pout, but when she did manage it, she loved it.
“You’re cute when you pout.”
“I’m not pouting!”
Elphaba hummed. She pulled out of the embrace and started to walk back toward the cottage, glancing back at him.
“What? Someone has to do the cooking, and it’s not going to be you.”

“You ship us.”  She raised her brows at the belief in his voice.
He inched closer to her, close enough for him to see the curl of her eyelashes, the flecks in her eyes, the freckles on her face, the curve of her lips.
“You actually ship us.”
She chewed her lip as she felt her face heating up at the intense look in his eyes.  She nodded slightly.
Her hands went subconsciously to the magazine on her lap.
He looked down at the magazine, his eyes drawn to her long, slender fingers as she fiddled with one of the corners of the glossy centerspread.  It was a photo of Fiyero, carrying the books of a female classmate as they walked across the lawn on their way to class.  The two of them were talking, laughing over something.  The loud, red headline screamed that the Arjiki prince had found a new love.
He leaned back and let out a huff as he ran his fingers through his hair.
“I don’t believe this. You actually ship – “ he looked at the picture again, at the beautiful girl in the picture, her radiant smile that seemed to shine out of the page.  “- Galinda and me?”
Elphaba shrugged with a sheepish smile.
“You actually ship your boyfriend with your best friend?”
She cowed under his stare.
“Why? Elphaba, are you… “ he grappled with the impossible idea.  “Are you not happy with me?”
“Of course not,” Elphaba blurted, and she quickly closed the magazine, hoping that it would put a stop to the conversation.  It didn’t work.
Fiyero reached out, brushing the back of his knuckles against her soft skin before he cupped her cheek and watched as her eyes fluttered.
“Do you have doubts about us?” He asked softly.
She shook her head.
His thumb traced across her lips.  She drew in a shaky breath.
“Elphaba, whose hand do I hold when we go out?”
“Mine.”
His hand went to her waist, his touch sending tingles up her body.  “Who do I have in my arms at night?”
“Me.”  Her answer was almost breathless as she anticipated his next move.
He brushed his lips against hers, and she tilted her head. She nipped his lips gently, playfully and he paid back with one of his own.
“Which girl have I been kissing for the past one hundred and eighty-seven days?”  He asked between kisses, as he moved to her jaw and neck and back to her lips again.
“Me?”
“You don’t sound sure,” he teased her, and she tittered before she answered again, firmer this time.
“Me.”
“Then why are you shipping Galinda and me?” He asked when their lips parted. “Why can’t you ship her with someone else?”
“Not imaginative enough,” she admitted.
“Why can’t you ship us? You and me? Elphaba and Fiyero? Miss Green and Mr White?”
“Well.” She looked away, looking so guilty Fiyero almost laughed out loud. “I believe in us, but the other – “ she waved her hand in the air.  “It just makes so much more sense.”
“What makes so much more sense?”
“You and Galinda.”
“Why?” It did not make any sense to him at all.
“You’re both beautiful, rich and popular.  She’s sweet and you’re handsome.  And both of you like the same things and have the same taste. We imagine the two of you attending balls and dancing together and always being the centre of attention.”
“We?”  His eyes widened.  “What do you mean by ‘we’?”  He imagined the whole cohort shipping him with another girl.  The horrors.  But Elphaba’s reply allayed his fears.
“Both of us?”
“You and Galinda?”
The green girl nodded guiltily.
“Is this what you girls do when you can’t sleep at night?”
“Not all nights.” She tried to downplay the whole thing.  “And it’s just imagination, storytelling.  You’re perfect together.  You’re like a fairy tale.  And she always said that she’ll end up marrying someone handsome and with a title.”
“And you?”
“I’ve always known that I will end up a spinster.”
The prince groaned.
“Why can’t you ship us? And imagine us doing things together?” Though he knew how difficult it was for Elphaba to talk to anyone about the two of them, even if it was to her best friend.
“Yero, we’re like directors, scriptwriters, producing one of those fairy-tale movies that she always likes to watch.  The girl is beautiful and kind and the boy will sweep her off her feet.  No one wants a ship where the girl is geeky and stubborn.”
“I do. And you’re beautiful.”
Elphaba ignored his comment and continued. “She’ll come up with the plot, the scene, the wardrobe, and I’m in charge of the logistics, the venues, and lighting.  We tried to replace you with another guy, with some celebrity that she likes, or even an original character, but it just didn’t work. It’s you, but it’s not you.”
“What do you mean?” He did not know that dating her could be so frustrating.
“It’s your face, your name, your titles, your idiosyncrasies.” Fiyero rolled his eyes. “But it is not you – not you you.”
He felt a headache coming on.
“Is that all?”
She nodded.
“Really?”
“We’ve planned the wedding.”
“What?”  He spluttered.  And he thought that there was no way this conversation could get weirder. “Galinda and my wedding?”
She nodded again. “It’ll be the biggest event of the year. It’ll take place in late spring, in the Emerald City Garden, next to that big fountain.  Or maybe it’ll take place in Shiz.  She’ll wear an off-shoulder, bareback, white gown with lace and a twenty-foot train….. “  Fiyero shot out a hand and pressed it against her lips.
“I think I’ve heard enough. I hope you didn’t imagine the wedding night.”
Elphaba’s face turned dark but she shook her head.
“Thank Lurline,” he muttered under his breath.  He grabbed a pencil and paper from her desk and scribbled furiously on the paper.
“What are you writing? Are those instructions to your Arjiki assassins to kill me?” Elphaba asked innocently as she rested her chin on his shoulder, squinting her eyes as she tried to read his illegible handwriting.
“Listing out the names of my buddies. I’m sure a few of them are still single.  Galinda needs a boyfriend.  Immediately. Now. Maybe a few boyfriends.”
“Are they all nice guys?”
“Absolutely.  And handsome, and most of them come with a title or two.”
“Yero?” Elphaba whispered his name as she pressed her lips behind his ear.  He put down the pencil as he turned to meet her lips, distracted.
“Yes?”
“There’s something else that I didn’t tell you. Something I thought about sometimes.”  She heard the sharp intake of his breath.  Her hand went to his chest, her finger tracing the shape of his diamond tattoos through his shirt.
“What is it?”  She could feel his heart beating so fast under her palm, like a bird in a cage.
“Our wedding night,” she confessed, a shy smile on her lips.
“Now that’s the kind of thing that you should think about,” he said and he kissed her again.

A Very Merry Lurlinemas Eve
Tumblr media
A very late, self-indulgent domestic one shot with the Thropp/Tiggular family I wrote for Lurlinemas! Hope you enjoy and have a Happy New Year!
Art by the beautiful @noether3 ; Full image here! (Be sure to reblog if you like it!)

“Yero, did you wrap the presents for Nessa and Boq yet?”
Elphaba hovered over the cradle, gently swinging it back and forth whilst making silly faces and babbling nonsense at the child nestled inside. At just twelve months old, Liir was amused by everything. His big, green eyes glimmered in the light from the fireplace, his mouth in the shape of a small o. He wrapped his tiny fingers around Elphaba’s index and cooed.
“Yeah! I got them right here-”
He cursed slightly above a whisper when he stumbled into the living room and nearly tripped over his own feet.
“Fiyero!” Elphaba scolded. “Not in front of him! I don’t want his first words to be foul.”
“Sorry,” Fiyero sheepishly chuckled and set the presents under the tree. “It’s not like he can understand what I’m saying. Isn’t that right, little buddy?”
He squatted down and blew raspberries into his soft belly, making him squeal and giggle. Elphaba playfully rolled her eyes, brushing back the short, dark curls that fell over Liir’s forehead. She pinched his chubby cheek and got up to look at the haphazardly wrapped gifts Fiyero placed below the tree.
“... Please tell me there’s still left over wrapping paper.”
Fiyero looked over his shoulder, still in the midst of a tickle fight with Liir. “Hm? You don’t like the way I wrapped the presents?”
“Yero, I say this with all the love in my heart... it looks like you layered the paper around the box several times and slapped a ribbon atop it.”
He feigned offense. “Fae! How could you? I’m wounded by your horrendible words!”
“Oh Fiyero…” She sighed defeatedly.
“I’m kidding... Come on, what difference does it make? They’re going to be ripped apart tomorrow— why stress out over how the wrapping paper looks?”
“It shows that we put some thought into their gifts and didn’t wrap them up at the last second.” She stripped away a piece of excess tape stuck to the shiny emerald paper.
“Well, we technically did- but they’ll get over it once they see what they get. I can already hear Glinda screaming for joy when she opens hers.”
Elphaba rearranged the small, pink gift bag that contained the jewelry set for the petite blonde. It was true, they both put a lot of thought into what they planned to gift their loved ones.
“Well… I suppose you’re right,” She smiled up at him. “Thank you for wrapping the presents, Fiyero.”
“You’re welcome,” Fiyero walked over to her, Liir in his arms. “I must be the luckiest man in Oz to have the most patient wife, right Liir?”
Liir babbled nonsense in response.
“See? He agrees.” Fiyero planted a sweet kiss on her cheek.
“Of course he does, he has my brains.” She quipped.
“Oh ha-ha...”
They took a moment to gaze at the tree. Liir’s eyes twinkled at the dozens of multicolored lights glowing on the branches. His tiny hands reached out to grab an ornament doll made of tin. Elphaba gently pulled his wrist back before he inevitably put it in his mouth.
“Y’know… this’ll be the only time we’ll have for ourselves,” He placed his hand on her shoulder. “Tomorrow will be one big day of festivating with the others.”
Elphaba hummed in agreement, stroking his cheek affectionately.
“-Hey, what do you say we celebrate a little early— just the three of us?” He suggested.
Elphaba looked at him, perplexed. “You mean… open our presents right now?” She quirked an eyebrow in doubt. “Shouldn’t we wait for everyone until tomorrow morning as courtesy?”
“No, no- just one present each!” Fiyero assured. “It’s a huge pile, no one’s gonna notice if a box or two is missing. Besides, with all the guests in one room, how will I get to see the absolute look of joy on your face when you open my gift?” He lightly squeezed Liir’s cheek and spoke in an adoring voice, “-and our boy has been good all year round! Well, aside from throwing up all over my dress shirt last week.”
“Oh, he didn’t mean to do that,” Elphaba smooched her son’s temple. “Maybe papa shouldn’t have spun you in the air right after you ate.”
Fiyero winced at the statement. “Alright, that was on me- but the point is he deserves one early gift tonight!” Speaking in his baby voice, he smiled down at Liir. “You wanna see what Lurline brought you this year?”
Not comprehending any of his words, Liir incoherently blabbered. Fiyero took that as an agreement and plucked something out from the tiniest stocking hanging above the fireplace. He hid it behind his back as he returned, bending his knees to be at eye level with the child.
Fiyero presented a plush doll: a cutesyfied monkey with small wings stitched to his back and a friendly smile. “Look! This is for you!”
Elphaba played up her excitement at the toy, lightly bouncing Liir in her arms and coaxing him to look at it. The young boy looked unfamiliar with it at first, not sure what it was exactly. When his mother didn’t stop his tiny hands from touching it, he grasped it. A slow smile grew on his face, followed by giggles.
“Happy Lurlinemas, Liir.” Fiyero kissed his cheek.
“Say thank you to papa,” Elphaba encouraged. The infant was far too preoccupied with his new toy to even acknowledge her. “I guess we’ll have to work on expressing gratitutions later…”
“He’ll learn.” Fiyero promised. He beamed brightly and ruffled his messy, raven hair.
“Well, since we’re at it,” Elphaba carefully handed Liir over to him. “I’ve got something I hope you’ll like.”
“Fae, you could give me a pebble as a gift and I’ll love it.”
She leaned down and reached behind the tree. “That’s quite the reassurement, but I promise I got you something one step above a pebble,”
Wrapped in shiny emerald paper with a gold bow on top, Elphaba handed him a small box. “Happy Lurlinemas.”
Fiyero eagerly took it and lightly shook the box next to his ear. He handed Liir back to her and tore it open, revealing a gold wrist watch with a green dial. There were five, smaller sub-dials inside the watch, each one labeling the time of day for all the provinces in Oz.
“Elphaba…” Fiyero carefully held the watch in his hand, examining it in pure adoration. “This is... I can’t even begin to describe it-”
“Do you like it? I wasn’t sure if it was something you’d wear daily.”
“Elphaba, I love it! It’s beautiful! Thank you, my dearest.” He placed a peck on her lips. With her help, he secured the watch around his wrist and basked in its glory. “-Speaking of which, I’ve been waiting all year to see your reaction to what I’ve got for you.”
“Is that so?” Elphaba watched him scour through the presents until he said “Aha!” when he found a medium sized box.
“Here...” Fiyero sat cross legged on the floor. Elphaba followed suit and passed Liir over to sit on his lap, taking the somewhat heavy box in her hands
“What’s this?” Her brown eyes lit up with curiosity.
“Open it and see for yourself!” Fiyero grinned.
A smile grew on Elphaba’s face. She tore away the gold wrapping paper, revealing a wooden box. Confused, she unlocked the latch and opened the lid. When she removed the bright blue fabric on top of her gift, she gasped in disbelief.
They were ruby slippers. Nearly identical to the silver slippers her sister owned. Elphaba had once brought up to Fiyero the time her father gifted Nessa the priceless pair of shoes as a parting gift at Shiz. While she did not care for extravagant shoewear, she remembered how hurt she felt when Frex didn’t give her something as little as a postcard.
At the time, it felt like a stab to the heart, seeing Nessa look so beautiful and elegant in her new slippers while Elphaba lugged around in worn out boots like a beggar. It was a painful reminder of how low she thought of herself before she found the people she loved the most in life.
Elphaba couldn’t hold back her tears, her fingers hovering over the red jewels. “Yero… I- I don’t know what to say.”
“You don’t have to say anything…  your face speaks a thousand words.”
Elphaba placed the shoes to the side and frantically wrapped her arms around him. Fiyero placed a hand on the small of her back, laughing wholeheartedly at the kisses she planted all over his face.
Below them, Liir cried out. Elphaba cupped his cheek and placed soft kisses on his tender face as well.
“Oh, I didn’t forget about you.” She spoke sweetly, smothering him in kisses.
“Happy Lurlinemas to my most beautiful wife and son.” Fiyero said.
“Your only wife and son.” Elphaba teased.
“I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
He helped her remove her booties and slipped her shoes on. They were the perfect fit, comfortably tailored to her size. She stared at them in admiration, once more thanking her husband with kisses.
The pair spent their evening playing with their child, enjoying the sacred time they had together.

Thanks for reading! I’m sorry this is probably not my best work and that it was posted a little late in the season. This was mostly a self-indulgent fluff fic I’ve been meaning to write since I see so little of the Thropp/Tiggular + Liir family dynamic. I’m also technically still a little new to publishing fiyeraba fics that maintain their characters. Bear with me please haha ;;
Thank you again to Emma for the beautiful art! Show your love by reblogging and commissioning her if you can!

3, 10, 19 and 28 for the ask thing
3: Whats a secret you’re comfortable telling me?
One time, when I was at Girl Scout Day Camp, I threw a rock and hit a girl in the head by accident. Basically we had swimming buddies and mine and I would play a game where we’d grab a rock and throw it, then go find that exact rock. And then I hit someone in the head and never confessed. Needless to say we never played that game again.
10. Whats your favorite song?
Joanne, by Lady Gaga. A close second is Strangers, by Halsey, followed by Mother We Share by CHVRCHES. I’m pretty much an all over sort of person, but I tend to listen to CDs and songs over and over and over, it never really bothers me.
19. Favorite book?
I don’t read anymore due to my anxiety (It’s like a permanent side effect because I’m good outside of that, but I can’t get myself to read a lot of text at once. I get too distracted.) but my all time favorite book will always be Wicked, The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. Please read it, it’s so much better than the musical ever will be, and the author, Gregory Maguire confirmed Gelphie is canon (They kiss in the book it’s so good.) and that Fiyeraba is just boy fluff. There’s even three books after it (Which I own but will probably never read.) so you know it’s better than the musical.
PS: I don’t do audiobooks either, I have a hard time concentrating on audio and video as well, sometimes I just skip through videos to see the content I want.
28. Cutest thing anyone has done for you?
Uh? Idk right now I don’t really have many IRL friends, and my online friends are busy with their own lives. I suppose though the cutest thing done for me is definitely one of my very close online friends, always putting up with my bullshit.
To you it may not be cute, but to me it means the world. I honestly have a crush on her, but she doesn’t trust online relationships after her ex hurt her. She does know though, and shes used to me crying about it because she knows I need to get it out. She also is so tolerant of my every shifting RP needs, I rarely stick with one RP for long, as content I see throughout my day influences me and my muse.
She’s been through it all, even my inner demons. I’m so happy to have her, even if we just remain friends.

After Forever Chapter 4
Tumblr media
Hey all! Since Chapter 5 came out today and my assignments are (mostly) done, I thought I would do the Chapter 4 review.
In addition, I have something to ask of you. If you are reading this story along with me, please click here and review her chapters if you have not already doen so. This is one of the more unique Post-Musical stories out there and @vinkunwildflowerqueen needs all the love and support for this story that it so rightly deserves. Plus it would make all the people who love her very happy as well. Now, I admit that I’m not very good when it comes down to reviewing but I’m swearing to do better.
Now. Remember if you haven’t read this chapter, please don’t go past this paragraph as you will be cursed with spoilers. If you continue, because you are a rebel (and I respect that), I must warn you that you face
Tumblr media
So lets get this started
When I realize that this is a flashback chapter, thus Fiyero and Elphaba are still together and all is right with the world
Tumblr media
My Rationalization: Yay! Fiyeraba forever, she says as she reads a fanfiction where they might not stay together in the end.
When Kahley makes it so Elphaba can’t face her problems alone and gives her an outlet to talk. The interactions between Kahley and Elphaba in general
Tumblr media
My Rationalization: My poor, Elphaba. I’m so glad that with Glinda not in her life, she has Kahley and that Kahley has made it through some of Elphaba’s walls.
When Elphaba reveals she might be pregnant and Kahley helps her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My Rationalization: Again, I love Kahley so much as she validates Elphaba’s concerns and thoughts and comforts her to a point that Elphaba is comfortable is.
Fiyero complaining about crows.
Tumblr media
My Rationalizations: Oh Fiyero :) . Also, I see where Elphaba comes from when they say in Chapter 2 that they always fight.
When Elphaba struggles to tell Fiyero she’s pregnant
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Fiyero hears she is pregnant and is completely adorable,protective, and  clueless and we get that dose of fluff.
Tumblr media
My Reaction: Hey Kid *sniff* everyone's waiting on you kid *sniff and breaks into tears*
I really loved this chapter, unfortunately I have a feeling that this fluffiness is not going to last. Remember to review on fanfiction.net and have a wonderful rest of your week.

Wicked Secret Santa Gifter here 👋🏻
I just have a few ❓❔❓❔ so I can start 🤔 of 💡
When you say "family stuff" do you mean Fiyeraba family just the two of them; Fiyeraba + 👶🏻👶🏻; Fiyeraba with their respective families, etc?
What kind of fluff is your 😍😍😍?
What kind of timeline is your favourite? Post-canon, Shiz-era, AU of some kind, etc.
Any extra details/requests you can think of?
🎄🎄
Hii!! Thank you so much! I'm so excited! 🤩
For family stuff, I love Fiyeraba with just the two of them or with children. And Glinda thrown in for good measure. 🥰
I love fun family fluff. Anything teeth-rottenly sweet. Dopey with love.
I'm good with any timeline or AU situation, but not super hot about post-cannon stuff.
Um... I don't have any super specific requests. Maybe a holiday-themed family get-together, or another big event of the like.
💖💚💖💚

"Sewing It Up" Oneshot #8: Birthdays, Bobbins, & Bubbles
Tumblr media
The full shop version (with Elphaba, Fiyero, and Galinda) will be up either later tonight or tomorrow, but here, it mostly focuses on my OCs. But the canon gang makes a special, fun cameo here. Art by @abbythegatekeeper (@the-oc-workshop)
~~~
Geri smiled at the sunny-side-up eggs placed perfectly on the plate with a double bacon smile. He was very proud of his work, and couldn’t wait to surprise his wife.
“That smells wonderful.”
He turned, seeing his wife approaching. “Morning. You’re up early.”
Her eyebrow quirked as she reached into the cupboard and searched for her mug. “You don’t sound happy about that.”
“It’s just…”
“Geri, it’s early, I have a busy day today, and I need coffee before Nyris wakes up.”
“I wanted to surprise you for your birthday. I made sunny-side-up eggs and bacon. I had a plan.”
She paused in her coffee brewing. “Oh. Thank you, honey.” She pulled him into a kiss, smiling against his lips. Humoring him, she sat at the table.
“This was supposed to be breakfast in bed.” He still set the plate in front of her with a kiss. “Eggs are at ten and two, and the smiley-bacon at six.”
Her fingers grazed over the curved bacon. “Thanks.”
“You’re welcome. You want your usual coffee fixings?”
“Please.”
The couple was able to eat quickly, with Villy going over her packed schedule for the day. Winter was busy with custom orders, as people got ready for spring and summer events. As busy as they were, Villy made sure to never overbook, knowing she’d regret biting off more than she could chew. She and Elphaba worked fast, and knew when they would get overwhelmed.
“Are you used to being this busy?” Geri asked, finishing his coffee.
“Yes, but ever since our reopening, we’ve gotten busier. Elphaba and I have it under control. I’ll probably have to stay late, so I’ll take the bus home.”
“Mmm. I’m taking Nyris to her ballet class tonight, so it works out.”
“I’ll go wake her, before we end up late,” Villy said, standing and going over to her husband, wrapping her arms around him from behind. “Thank you for breakfast.”
“You’re welcome, Dovey.”
Nyris gave her stepmother an enthusiastic birthday hug. “Papa and I are picking up your birthday gift today. He said it’s ready, but I can’t tell you what it is, ‘cause it’s a surprise.”
Villy chuckled as she helped her with her thick tights. “I suppose I can wait until tonight.”
“Can I brush your hair?”
“We’re in a hurry, Jellybean.”
“I can be quick and gentle. I promise.”
Sighing, she nodded and Nyris got the hairbrush. The two took their usual spots on the bed and Nyris gently ran the soft bristles through Villy’s copper hair.
“You should wear your hair down. It’s pretty.”
“I don’t like wearing it down when I work. It gets in my face.”
Nyris pouted. “But you look pretty!”
“Thank you, but Elphaba and I have a busy day today. I can’t have my hair getting in the way.”
She tapped her chin thoughtfully, then ran over to her basket of hair accessories. “You can wear my yellow ribbon.” She fixed her hair into a low ponytail and tied the ribbon around the hair tie, letting the ends fall instead of tying it into a bow.
“Thank you, Jellybean,” Villy smiled, turning and pulling her into a hug.
Ten minutes later, the two came back downstairs, Nyris dressed in her uniform and her hair in pigtails with green ribbons. All bundled up in their winter gear, the family headed out. Once they got to the school, Villy climbed out and walked Nyris inside.
“Are you alright, Nyris?” Villy asked, hearing Nyris huffing.
“I’m creating clouds.”
“What?”
She exhaled again. “I can see my breath in front of my face. It’s cool!” She snuggled closer, allowing Villy to help shield her from the cold, February wind.
“Have a nice day, Jellybean,” Villy said, giving her daughter a hug at the corner of the main hallway.
“Bye, Mimsey. Are you taking me to my ballet class today?”
“No. I have to stay in the shop tonight. Papa’s taking you. You can give me my birthday present tonight.”
“Okay.” She gave her a kiss and skipped away, calling out to one of her friends.
The seamstress retraced her steps, and her husband met her at the door.
“Have a nice day, Dovey,” Geri said as the car stopped directly in front of the shop.
“Thank you, Geri. I’ll see you tonight.” She smiled against his lips and slipped out, taking a few steps until her cane hit the door. The door was unlocked, so Elphaba was already there, and she heard the car pull away as the door closed behind her. “Morning, Elphaba.”
Silence answered her. Perhaps she ran upstairs or to the bathroom. The dressmaker started towards her office, but soft voices from the back startled her. She froze and called for her assistant again. This time, instead of her expected answer, she heard a loud pop and yelped, dropping her cane and faintly aware of it rolling away as she jumped away, her back colliding with the door. Her eyes widened and she balled the sides of her coat in her fists.
“Miss Villy…” Elphaba finally addressed her. “You’re early.”
She turned, eyes narrowed. “What in Oz’s name was that?!”
Elphaba softened at the dressmaker’s alarmed tone. “It was a surprise.”
“Believe me, I’m thoroughly surprised, and not in a good way.”
She stepped towards her, but paused when Villy moved away, squeezing her gloved fingers. “I’m sorry. Nothing’s wrong, and I’m fine.”
“Yes, well…” She coughed, her mouth dry as she licked her lips. “Not even the biggest cup of coffee could wake me up this effectively.” She took a breath. “I heard other voices. Did you have the radio on?”
“No. Yero and Glin are here.”
“Why? Aren’t you about to start your mid-winter break?”
“It starts tomorrow, but they’re staying on campus, and agreed to come by and help.”
“Help with what? Elphaba, it’s too early to deal with your vagueness.”
“Help decorate your office for your birthday.”
As it slowly sunk in, Villy relaxed as her heart rate finally returned to normal. “Oh.”
She picked up her cane and handed it to her. “This isn’t how I wanted to start your special day.”
“Did you finish? I can wait out here if you want more time. I’m early, after all.”
“No, we’re done,” a new voice said from the back doorway.
Elphaba turned to see Fiyero coming out, dragging a less-than-happy Galinda behind him. “We are?”
He nodded, and Galinda yanked her hand away. “Happy birthday, Miss Villy.”
“Thank you, Fiyero. Galinda,” the dressmaker smiled, accepting hugs from him and the bubbly blonde, before being ushered to her office. She pocketed her gloves, and removed her coat and hat, hanging them on the coat rack, along with her now-folded cane. “What did you do in here?”
“We made your door a present!” Galinda giggled.
Villy reached out her hand, running her fingers over the smooth wrapping paper, finding the bow in the center. “What color is it?”
“Dark blue, almost black, with pale yellow stars. It looks like a night sky.”
“And the ribbon?”
“Royal purple. And we made you a sign!”
“I made you a sign,” Fiyero corrected, glancing at the blonde and leading Villy over to the right wall where the sign hung.
Her hands glided over the relief lettering. She figured it said ‘Happy 38th birthday, Miss Villy’ after only three letters, but was enjoying the textured paint. “Thank you, Fiyero. I still think you could have pulled off being an art minor.”
“Perhaps, but my talents lie elsewhere.”
She thought that innocent comment meant he had chosen a different minor, but the innuendo made itself clear when Elphaba, now standing next to the prince, made a noise in the back of her throat. She whipped around towards them. “You two, separate.”
“… ‘Kay,” came Fiyero’s distracted response.
“But the lights are on,” Elphaba faux-whined.
Villy’s eyes narrowed, but twinkling from above grabbed her attention, her brain forcing her eyes to stare at the visible, slowly moving lights. “Wait, what’s that smell?” she frowned, wrinkling her nose.
“See… what had happened was… Glin –“
“I made magic bubbles!” the blonde grinned cheekily. “They’re up on the ceiling.” Instead of bubbly beams, she was met with blank stares from all three third parties. “Hey, it’s a big improvement from last time!”
“Last time?” Villy asked, her gaze fixated on the ceiling as the light from the windows reflected off the bubbles. It wasn’t as bright as the balloons would have been, but it still held her attention.
“She exploded my lunch. Made bits of my sandwich fly all over the place. Yero walked by and called me a ‘lettuce head’.” The green girl set a pointed look upon her best friend, pointing at the bubble-covered ceiling.
“She got carried away,” Fiyero shrugged.
She sighed. “We forgot the glitter balloons, so we decided to improvise. It was successful, ‘til she got carried away and tried to see how big she could make the balloon before it popped. That was the loud noise you heard.”
“I’m really good at the bubble spell. Do you think that if I created a bubble big enough, I could float around Oz in it?” Galinda asked thoughtfully.
Elphaba rolled her eyes. “Sure. And I’ll enchant a broom to fly.”
“And I’ll leave my feet safely on the ground,” Fiyero nodded confidently.
“So will I,” Villy agreed.
The blonde confidently lifted her chin. “I could do it!”
“I don’t doubt you, but floating and flying aren’t my ideal forms of transportation,” the dressmaker said, giving the blonde a comforting arm rub. “Thank you, all three of you. I love this surprise. I can’t believe you did all this for me.”
“Well, it was too late to rent out the park again, and organize a ticker-tape parade, and when you factor in that –“
“Don’t you have an early shift at Ozbucks this morning?” Elphaba interrupted.
She made a face at being cut off, but conceded. “Yes, so I suppose I should get going now. Enjoy your free day.”
“I’m working all day.”
“See you later!” She left with a flitted wave.
“I know you both have a busy day today, so I’ll come back later with lunch,” the prince promised, wrapping his arms around his girlfriend and resting his chin on her shoulder.
“Okay. Thank you, Yero,” she replied with a grin, turning in his arms and rising to her toes. Pressing her lips against his, she wrapped her arms around his neck. They pulled away, muttering soft declarations of love against each other’s lips.
Villy realized the two had never separated and groped for her assistant, grabbed her arm, and pulled the two apart. “Bye, Fiyero,” she sing-songed, fighting a smirk and clutching Elphaba’s arm as she pulled her closer.
Both their faces heated and the prince muttered a quick ‘goodbye’, hurrying out.
“I’ll come later on my birthday to give you time to decorate the whole store," Elphaba smirked.
“I’ll be sure to use lots of streamers and balloons.” Villy waited ‘til she heard the shop door close before releasing Elphaba’s arm. “Socialite season starts in three weeks. And we have a few initial consultations and measurings today.”
“You have my full attention for the next eight days. That’s enough time to get most of them done.”
“I’m not locking you in a sweatshop to work on party dresses all day with no break.”
“Minor details,” she shrugged with a dismissive wave and hum, going about her morning chores. Once the shop opened, they were busy until lunch, the adrenaline pumping through their veins keeping them going.
~~~
At the end of the long day, Villy tiredly made her way down the street from the bus stop. Though busy, it wasn’t bad, but she wanted nothing more than to relax in bed.
She searched for the landmark metal lamp post that indicated the gate was on the right. Her cane hit something in front of her and upon further investigation, realized it was a large recycling bin. She maneuvered around it and a few steps later, there was another one. Her cane swept to her left and hit the lamp post. Turning, she found the gate and felt around with her free hand for the latch. Finding it, she unlocked it and stepped through, closed it behind her, and walked up the path leading to the front door.
She felt for the keyhole and fiddled with her key, her tiredness trying to overcome her. She unlocked the door and stepped in, folding and hanging her cane, and shedding her outerwear. She pulled out the hair tie and ribbon, relieving some of the tension and her headache faded slightly as she ran her hand through her hair.
“Hi, Mimsey!”
She looked down as a small force collided with her side, and short arms wrapped around her. “Hi, Nyris.” She lifted the little girl into her arms and kissed her cheek. “How was school?”
“Fun. We played soccer in gym class and I got to score a goal.”
“Amazing. I’m proud of you.”
“Thanks.”
“Where’s Papa?”
“Downstairs doing his homework. I finished mine, and wanted to wait up here for you.”
“How was ballet class?”
“I loved it! We practiced our jumps and my teacher congratulated me on my perfectly pointed toes. Do you want your birthday present now?”
The dressmaker had forgotten about the promised gift. “Yes, please.”
Nyris giggled and wiggled out of her arms. “It’s on the table in the living room!”
Villy followed her stepdaughter and sat on the sofa, reaching out her hands. Her fingers bumped against a large box and she carefully tore the wrapping paper off. She ran her hands over the thin cardboard. She suspected there was a picture of whatever was inside on the box, and she reached in. She felt something soft and circular and reached in, feeling the base. She carefully pulled it out. “Is this a lamp?”
“Uh-huh!”
She felt the base. “It is a heart?”
“Nope.”
“A teardrop?”
“Nuh-uh! It’s my favorite fruit.”
The little girl had a new favorite fruit every few weeks, so she had to really think about which one it was. “A… strawberry?”
“Yeah! It’s painted red with the little black seeds. You can put it on your night table. I knew you like strawberries, too I picked it out myself.”
She set it on the table and pulled Nyris into her lap. “Thank you, Jellybean. I love strawberries, and I love this special present.”
Nyris rested her head on her shoulder and snuggled closer. “You’re welcome, Mimsey. Happy birthday.”

Fanfic Writer Asks
[SOURCE: criminal-minds-fanfiction: Most of the writer ask posts I come across are only like ten or so questions long so I thought I’d try to make a longer one because we like talking about our writing! Feel free to reblog!]
I’m answering all of these b/c I love Q & A’s about my writing, both for my fics and other things.
1) How old were you when you first starting writing fanfiction? It was 2013, so I was 14 years old. I’m now almost 23.
2) What fandoms do you write for and do you have a particular favourite if you write for more than one? I’m mostly in the Wicked Musical fandom, but I like to read for other fandoms, like Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Chronicles of Narnia, ect.
3) Do you prefer writing OC’s or reader inserts? Explain your answer. OCs, but I’m more than willing to create an OC for someone based on characteristics they give me.
4) What is your favourite genre to write for? I love me some fluffy romance and hurt/comfort, but I also love some angsty drama.
5) If you had to choose a favourite out of all of your multi-chaptered stories, which would it be and why? OMG, don’t make me choose! They’re all my babies! I love all my children equally! They all hold special places in my heart.
6) If you had to delete one of your stories and never speak of it again, which would it be and why? Goodness, most of my stories prior to 2017, because I was in high school and had no idea what I was doing because I was just getting my feet wet with writing.
7) When is your preferred time to write? Anytime really. The latest I’ve stayed up writing a fic was 4AM. *Glares at ‘Threads of Truth’*
8) Where do you take your inspiration from? Where ever it happens to come up. I’m not picky. Movies, music, people I’ve seen on the street, random thoughts that enter my head, anything.
9) In your xxx fic, what’s your favourite scene that you wrote? In ‘Threads of Truth’, it’s a tie between Villy’s first date, and an argument that happens in an upcoming chapter. And that’s all I’m saying about that.
10) In your xxx fic, why did you decide to end it like that? Did you have an alternative ending in mind? In ‘Play The Game’, I liked the epilogue ending that I gave Elphaba with her family, even without Fiyero. I like writing her with kids. Another ending would be with the Fiyeraba still together, but I’m satisfied with the ending it has.
11) Have you ever amended a story due to criticisms you’ve received after posting it? I’ll go back and fix typos that are pointed out, but I don’t change plot stuff. Like, I wrote what I wrote and I will amend my technique in future stories.
12) Who is your favourite character to write for? Why? Other than my OCs, because I get to fully create them and my lowkey babies, I’d have to say G(a)linda. She has so much potential and she’s so much fun.
13) Who is your least favourite character to write for? Why? Boq. Not because I hate him (I don’t!), but because I don’t normally know what to do with him. If he’s not with Nessa, he’s literally just standing there like a brick wall. No offence, Boq!
14) How did you come up with the title for the xxx? - You can ask about multiple stories. [Ask me about a specific story(ies)]
15) If you write OC’s, how do you decide on their names? I usually change consonants and vowels to already existing names, or add unnecessary letters because... reasons.
16) How did you come up with the idea for xxx? [Ask me about a specific story]
17) Post a line from a WIP that you’re working on. “Hopefully, this will soak up any more leaks.” (Upcoming Wicked fanfic)
18) Do you have any abandoned WIP’s? What made you abandon them? Yes, 2. Both of them are a few years old and I’ve grown as a writer since then. Maybe one day, I’ll edit them and repost, but not anytime soon.
19) Are there any stories that you’ve written that you’d really love to do a sequel to? Not everything can have a sequel, y’all! XD
20) Are there any stories that you wished you’d ended differently? Yes! Around 60% of them.
21) Tell me about another writer(s) who you admire? What is it about them that you admire? @vinkunwildflowerqueen @raven-curls @mylittleelphie @weaselspeedfanfic Ultimate Queen of Cliffies
22) Do you have a story that you look back on and cringe when you reread it? This goes back to Question #6; most of what I posted prior to 2017.
23) Do you prefer listening to music when you’re writing or do you need silence? Silence. I need to focus.
24) How do you feel about writing smutty scenes? I can’t write it. They’ll make out, and then be pregnant in the next chapter. Y’all can do the math for yourselves.
25) Have you ever cried whilst writing a story? YES! Yes, I have! Both sad tears and tears of joy. I’ve also cringed from second-hand embarrassment at the things the characters do and say. I’m not in control of their actions all the time. Sometimes they tell me what they’re gonna do, and I’m like, “Well, alright, then.”
26) Which part of your xxx fic was the hardest to write? [Ask me about a specific story]
27) Do you make a general outline for your stories or do you just go with the flow? I write bullet points of things I want to happen in a chapter on the Word Doc, or in the story as a whole, and I try to keep those bullet points in order. And the Notes App on my phone holds a lot of my ideas, and sometimes full scenes.
28) What is something you wished you’d known before you started posting fanfiction? That I’d become obsessed with writing and continue doing it for almost ten years, as well as expanding to writing plays and musicals.
29) Do you have a story that you feel doesn’t get as much love as you’d like? Yeah. I’m not gonna say which one, but just know there’s one... or a few.
30) In contrast to 29 is there a story which gets lots of love which you kinda eye roll at? Yes, and I’m still not gonna say which one(s). I want all the love!
31) Send me a fic recommendation and I’ll post it for my followers to see! (The asker is to send the rec, not the answerer) Yeah, sure!
32) Are any of your characters based on real people? Yes. Villy Doiir from ‘Threads of Truth’ is based on 4 people I know in real life, all mixed together into one wholesome, mother figure/ mentor. Perhaps that’s why I like writing her so much.
33) What’s the biggest compliment you’ve gotten? All reviews keep me going, no matter the length. But I love it when people review saying that they picked up on little references that were really just for me. It makes me feel like we’ve shared a moment.
34) What’s the harshest criticism you’ve gotten? A guest reviewer once said, “You tend to write Fiyero as an abusive person”. It wasn’t harsh, just... NOT TRUE. Especially for the story they were reviewing.
35) Do you share your story ideas with anyone else or do you keep them close to your chest? Close to my chest. I’ll share it with the world when I’m ready.
36) Can you give us a spoiler for one of your WIP’s? NOPE! You’ll just have to wait and see! LOL!
37) What’s the funniest story you’ve written? I... really don’t know. My stories all have their funny moments.
38) If you could collab with any other writer on here, who would it be? (Perhaps this question will inspire some collabs!) If you’re shy, don’t tag the blog, just name it. I’m very busy, and collabs aren’t really my thing, but I’m always willing to lend an extra pair of eyes pre-posting.
39) Do you prefer first, second or third person? I’ve written one story in the first person and it was fun to get into the character’s head, but I love third person, cause I like knowing what everyone is thinking. Second person makes me feel a certain way and that don’t really like.
40) Do people know you write fanfiction? IRL, no. It’s not something I bring up over dinner. I’ll talk about my plays and musicals, but not fanfiction. I like keeping my fics for the online peeps and my more personal writings for the RL peeps.
41) What’s you favourite minor character you’ve written? My OC, Princess Hannalyn, from ‘A Royal Romance’. She was so much fun!
42) Song fic - What made you decide to use the song xxx for xxx. I haven’t done a song fic.
43) Has anyone ever guessed the plot twist of one of your fics before you posted it? Not fully, but they’ve had little inklings, but certain details were still a surprise. And I’m not mad about it.
44) What is the last line you wrote? “I don’t want this to be the last time we see each other.”
45) What spurs you on during the writing process? When I’ll have one idea, and it spirals into many others, and when the characters write themselves. It makes it so much easier for me. Sometimes they tell me that they’re about to make a bad decision, and I just go along with it. They need to learn and grow somehow.
46) I really loved your xxx fic. If you were ever to do a sequel, what do you think might happen in it? [Ask me for a specific story]
47) Here’s a fic title - insert a made up title. What would this story be about? [Ask me]
48) What’s your favourite trope to write? I love a good Royalty AU (not fully AU ‘cause of our princey-prince, but still) and Holiday AUs. And I’ve never written a Coffeeshop AU, but I LOVE reading them. I’ll read anything. I’m not picky, and I love to see what ideas others have.
49) Can you remember the first fic you read? What was it about? Yes, and both of them were Gelphies: 1 - “Easier Said Than Done” by mecelphie - It’s part of a long, wonderful series of Elphaba and Glinda together at Shiz and how their lives evolve together and has many lovable OCs. 2 - “The Thropp Diaries” by denpa wave chick saki - It’s first-person Elphaba POV of the book. It expands on lots of mentioned moments and we get to journey through Elphaba’s thoughts.
50) If you could write only angst, fluff or smut for the rest of your writing life, which would it be and why? I’d have to say fluff, so I can get my escape from reality. But it’s hard to write pure fluff without a little bit of conflict.
