Audio Drama: 天官赐福 | Tian Guan Ci Fu | Heaven Official’s Blessing

It’s coming!!!

You might recognize most of the production team as the people who worked on the MDZS audio drama, so I’m very assured that they will only have grown more experienced. Tbh I’m a little surprised by the lead VAs...excited to hear what their performances will be like!

Even more exciting: apparently the audio drama has been adapted from the revised edition of TGCF which includes 100k extra words!!!

Red Son- Monkie Kid Soulmate au

More Monkie Kid soulmate au!

This time: Red Son!

Red has five soul marks: the stylized monkey on his palm (MK), the green dragon on his wrist (Mei), a purple bull head on his left shoulderblade (DBK), an iron fan on his right shoulder blade (two guesses as to who that is), and finally, a skull with glowing blue eyes on his spine (Sans the White Bone Spirit).

The scar on his wrist is from his time as Guan Yin’s disciple. The bracelets were pretty tight and were on for a pretty long time (about 50 years in this au), so they ended up causing some scarring.

Once Red gets the marks on his palm/wrist, he starts wearing fingerless gloves. He despises the mark on his palm, believing that anyone who’s soul is represented by Sun Wukong is his enemy. He’s very insecure about his soul marks, and refuses to let anyone see them (he doesn’t even let Iron Fan see them).

It’s only after he switches sides that Red Son starts letting others see the soul marks on his hand and wrist, and even then that’s limited to MK and Mei. Still, Red has some days where he hides his palms and wrists, because he can’t bear to be reminded of his parent’s betrayal.

The only mark that Red Son always feels right about is the skull on his back: he knows the Baigujing is his enemy, and he’s perfectly fine with that.

Red ends up dating MK, and has a platonic relationship with Mei. The three end up becoming very close with each other, and would 100% die for each other without hesitation. Mei and MK both become very good at bringing Red out of a panic attack, and while MK might not understand any of Red’s technical jargon, he is still willing to listen to the fiery demon go on for hours about his latest invention.

Red and Mei have a sort of rivalry going: the two are very competitive when it comes to racing, and they will try to out do each other with how cool they can make their vehicle. MK knows better than to intervene, and has relegated himself to the sidelines as a cheerleader. Outside of that, Red and Mei are incredibly close, and have bonded over their less than stellar relationship with their parents, as well as the crippling expectations they hold themselves to. They will often talk about blueprints to each other, and have been known to spend hours pouring over them together.

Once Red joins the gang, he becomes... fiercely protective of Mei and MK. Now that he’s actually gotten to experience a positive relationship, he refuses to allow anyone to take it from him, and is TERRIFIED of the idea that his parents may go after MK and Mei to get back at him. Whenever the three go out together, Red Son is there’re with a 1000 yard state that deters almost any demon. (Spider Queen makes one attempt to kidnap MK again. She vanishes a day later, lair burned to a crisp. Demons of all shades avoid MK after that.)

After a while, word gets out that Red Son is courting the Monkey King’s successor. This leads to several instances of other demons attempting to court MK as well, in a desperate bid for power, and to get into Wukong’s good graces. MK is completely oblivious, and Mei and Red both agree to obliterate anyone who tries to take advantage of MK.

Red begins courting MK about two months after the switch, but most of his efforts either go unnoticed or end up being misinterpreted. Mei ends up joining forces with Jin and Yin in an attempt to get these two idiots together, but these effort usually end up making things more complicated.

Red ends up full on confessing to MK after a really bad fight against Macaque. MK ends up badly injured with a stab to the gut, and in a moment of desperation and terror, Red Son yells that MK can’t leave yet, because Red still hasn’t had the chance to tell him that he loves him. MK, with quiet tears in his eyes, tells Red Son that he knows, that he loves Red back, and that he has for a while now but could never work up the courage to say it.

Mk ends up in the hospital for a bit, but he survives, and once he wakes up Red asks if they’re a thing, to which MK, of course, says yes. After that, Red stops wearing the finger-less gloves entirely.

Some miscellaneous things:

Red Son is Bi here.

His relationship with Mei is queerplatonic: Mei is ace in this au.

Red and Pigsy... don’t get along. At all. The only time they ever work even remotely well together is when they are protecting Mk and Mei, and even then they still butt heads.

Red Son ends up getting possessed by the White Bone Spirit for a short time before he joins the gang, as Iron Fan decided that it was the best way to keep control of him.

DBK and Iron Fan are much quicker to turn on Red in this au: They sent him on the weather station mission in an attempt to get rid of him. They are also much more overtly abusive here: think Ozai’s treatment of Zuko in ATLA.

Red Son is an insomniac, and will often stay up all night with Mei.

Red and Sandy end up forming an unlikely bond: Sandy and Red have a tradition where they will spend two hours every Thursday meditating together. Sandy ends up giving Red a therapy cat named Jinhu.

Wukong is very suspicious of Red Son at first, and spent about three months constantly monitoring him before he realized that the fire demon was head over heels for Mk. After that, he begins to watch Mei and the Gold and Silver bros try to get them together. He finds this absolutely hilarious.

Red Son has sleep paralysis. This has led to more than one occasion where Mei walks in to find Red Son staring in awe at her because, when he is stuck in sleep paralysis, he sees Mei as a huge ass green dragon. This also applies to Mk, who shows up like this .

After he gets more comfortable with showing his soulmarks, Red gets into the habit of rubbing them whenever he’s nervous. It comforts him, knowing that at least there is someone out there who cares about him.

Olá, pequenos gafanhotos? Tudo bom? XD Hoje a tia está de volta ao Blog para falar de um assunto MUITO bacana! Hoje, minhas preciosidades, eu vou falar (resenhar?) do meu mais novo vício: Tian Guan Ci Fu (Heaven Official's Blessing), uma novel literalmente divina! HAHAHAHAHA

1. Tian Guan Ci Fu (Novel) Tian Guan Ci Fu, ou apenas TGCF, é uma novel chinesa da autora Mo Xiang Tong Xiu (MXTX), autora também da famosa novel Mo Dao Zu Shi (MDZS; The Gradmaster Of Demonic Cultivation; The Untamed na Netflix). TGCF, assim como MDZS, segue o gênero Xianxia, que é um gênero de literatura da China que envolve a cultura chinesa, sua religião, o taoísmo, artes maciais, etc. Geralmente as histórias com esse gênero narram enredos onde os personagens se cultivam espiritualmente a fim de aumentar seu poder espiritual e ficarem mais forte, no intuito de se tornarem imortais, ou mesmo ascenderem como deuses. Em TGCF, as duas opções estão presentes. Alguns personagens simplesmente se cultivam para a imortalidade (o personagem Mei Nianqing), mas mais comumente o desejo é alcançar a ascensão e se tornar um deus. Claro, muitos poucos conseguem de fato.

TGCF narra a história de Xie Lian, o príncipe herdeiro do Reino de Xian Le que ascendeu aos incríveis DEZESSETE ANOS. Apenas um bebê. Xie Lian era amado pelo seu povo e também pelos céus, conquistando inclusive o título de O Príncipe que Agrada aos Deuses.

Mas como nem tudo são flores, e a autora MXTX é conhecida por levar seus personagens do céu ao inferno (quase literalmente nesse caso hahahaha), as coisas logo vão de mal a pior para Xie Lian. O livro 1 começa narrando a partir do ponto da Terceira Ascensão de Xie Lian, 800 anos depois da última vez que ele caiu. E daí segue-se o enredo para descobrirmos o que aconteceu para que ele fosse expulso do céu nas duas vezes anteriores em que ascendeu. E por que de Príncipe Que Agrada aos Deuses ele foi para ser conhecido como A Chacota dos Três Reinos. Pessoalmente, considero o primeiro arco do livro um pouco enfadonho, e ele quase me fez desistir de ler, pois é um acordo bem grandinho, se levarmos em consideração que não é um arco principal de desfecho. No entanto, eu agradeço todos os dias quem me fez superar esse arco e continuar a leitura, pois TGCF é uma OBRA DE ARTE. Os 5 livros (SIM, SÃO 5 LIVROS) são extremamente empolgantes e de fácil leitura, com muita ação, aventura e romance. E... falando em romance 🤭, acho que agora tá na hora de ir para o próximo tópico! 1.1 Romance em TGCF Tian Guan Ci Fu não é apenas uma história com artes marciais, ação, aventura e mistério. É também, sobretudo, uma história de amor. E uma das mais lindas que li até hoje! TGCF é uma novel Boys Love, BL, ou seja, o romance se passa entre dois meninos. Os protagonistas dessa incrível história de amor são nosso querido Xie Lian, o protagonista da novel, e Hua Cheng, também conhecido como Crimson Rain Sought Flower (Chuva de Sangue Buscando/Procurando uma Flor), Hua Chengzhu, e San Lang para os íntimos (ou seja, apenas para o Xie Lian!). Enquanto Xie Lian é um deus de mais de 800 anos, Hua Cheng é um fantasma do nível Devastação, ou seja, o nível mais poderoso de fantasma que se pode alcançar. E não apenas um devastação qualquer, mas aquele que também é conhecido como o Flagelo dos Céus. Vou me segurar para não dar spoilers, mas quem for ler a novel vai entender que os deuses tem motivos sim para estarem completamente aterrorizados com nosso adorável Huahua.

Hua Cheng tem mais de 800 anos também, a diferença de idade entre eles é bem pequena, se considerado que eles já viveram mais de 800 anos, mas em algum ponto da história (arcos que mostram o passado) essa diferença é grande, por apresentar os personagens ainda jovens e na sua vida humana. Mas enfim, é essa diferença de idade que permite que o Hua Cheng chame o Xie Lian de "gege" hahahahahahaha XD Xie Lian e Hua Cheng se conhecem em vários pontos de suas vidas, apesar de o Xie Lian não perceber isso, e é assim que nasce o amor transcendente e eterno do Hua Cheng. Desde o primeiro encontro, nosso bebê estava tããão apaixonado. Como dito, eles se encontram diversas vezes no começo de suas vidas, no entanto depois passam mais de 800 anos sem se ver, que é o período entre a segunda expulsão de Xie Lian dos céus e sua terceira ascensão. O Xie Lian não lembra do Hua Cheng, que eles já se conheceram antes (eu tô dando um spoiler?), porém ele descobre mais lá para a frente que sim. E é aí que conseguimos descobrir a dimensão do amor desse Rei Fantasma por nosso Lianlian. Eu juro que, mesmo lendo, me senti sobrecarregada com tanto sentimento e amor. É algo literalmente de outro mundo. TGCF me fez repensar no significado de amor. Amor puro, simples e não egoísta. Não existe sexo entre eles, como nas outras novels da MXTX, pois nossa querida autora foi censurada na China, porém existe muitas coisas que não são isso! ELES SE BEIJAM. MUITO!!!!! (Isso é um spoiler?) E eles têm um final feliz muito lindo. 1.2 Carga Emocional/Gatilhos Resolvi adicionar esse tópico apenas para deixar registrado: TGCF não é uma leitura água com açúcar. Apesar de dar para conseguir ler 95% da novel tranquilamente, os outros 5% são bem pesados. Existe tortura, física e psicológica, humilhação, mutilação, abuso de menores, entre várias outras coisas. Se você se sente mal ao ler coisas assim, não recomendo que leia TGCF, ou procure alguém que já leu para informar onde estão essas cenas que causam gatilho para que você possa pulá-las. Enfim, fica o aviso. 2. Manhua TGCF tem um manhua que, assim como a novel, é uma obra de arte. Eu considero que os traços do manhua sejam uns dos mais perfeitos que já vi na minha vida. É muito detalhado e... artístico(?). O Manhua ainda está em produção e sendo lançado semanalmente, porém considero que está sendo muito fiel a novel até agora. Mesmo para aqueles que já leram os livros, ainda recomendo a leitura do manhua. A experiência por si só é mágica, apesar de a pessoa já conhecer a história ou não. Os desenhos fazem valer a pena!!!!

3. Donghua O donghua é como se fosse o anime, mas o chinês! Existe atualmente um donghua de Tian Guan Ci Fu, com o título de Heaven Official's Blessing da tradução em inglês, disponível na Netflix. Só existe a primeira temporada por enquanto, cobrindo o primeiro arco do livro, no entanto há previsões de ser lançada a segunda temporada ainda em 2021. Atentos! Os traços da animação também são lindos, sendo fiel à novel, com pequenas diferenças entre manhua e donghua, mas que no grande esquema das coisas não interfere de modo algum no enredo no geral. Eu vejo as diferenças mais como reinterpretação da atitude de alguns personagens em algumas situações do que no enredo propriamente dito. São reações diferentes, que no entanto casam perfeitamente bem com o personagem e não o deixam OOC.

4. Live Action Para a alegria do povo e felicidade geral da nação, um live action de TGCF está sendo gravado nesse momento! Ou seja, outubro de 2021, momento em que estou escrevendo isso HAHAHAHAHA Os atores selecionados para viver nosso amado casal foram Zhai Xiaowen, que será o Xie Lian, e Zhang Linghe, que dará vida ao Hua Cheng. Até agora não se sabe se o enredo do Live action seguirá fielmente a novel ou as outras adaptações de Heaven Official's Blessing, nem se sabe qual título terá, porém o que sabemos, por meio de fotos vazadas, é que os atores estão incríveis!!!

"Tian Fu zhi Guo" means ‘ The land of abundance’, which refers to the Chengdu Plain in Sichuan Province, where giant pandas live. In the early years ,the flood and drought disasters in the Chengdu Plain were frequent, and its prosperity benefited from a hydraulician named Li Bing, who construced Dujiangyan two thousand years ago . Dujiangyan eliminated the floods,irrigated the Chengdu Plain and made it become the land of abundance .

‘天府之国’的意思是富庶之地，它是指四川省成都平原，这里也是大熊猫的故乡。最初的成都平原水旱灾害频繁，它的繁荣得益于一个叫李冰的水利专家，他在两千年前修建的都江堰解除了水灾，灌溉了农田，奠定了‘天府之国’的地理基础。
