Jubilee, Bishop, Rogue and Gambit go to the concert to watch Dazzler's performance. However, Sinister's Nasty Boys turn up to kidnap Dazzler for a nefarious purpose. Fortunately, the X-Men foil the kidnapping attempt on Dazzler and show is able to go on.

This story in the comic is a prelude to the X-Men 97 cartoon.

my brother+his fiancée and their dog 💕Domino💕 came to stay with us this weekend, and of course Lucky hid in my mom's closet the whole time.

But i heard someone get up to use the bathroom at about 6:30am, and I thought "If someone else is up, then I'll get up too" and so i got up and went to the kitchen and heard... intermittent crunching? but my brother's door was closed, so I thought they must have kicked Domino out of their room and she was eating breakfast... HOWEVER this is what i saw when i came around the corner to the kitchen:

Lucky was shoulders-deep in Domino's bowl, eating Domino's dog kibble.

“Why did you invite him?!”

"Because it's a party, Shaw. What have you got against Hairbag here?" Pyro slapped the furry mutant on the shoulder affectionately, trying to resist the urge to pet him. The "animal" mutants did not look kindly on that, but there was something so comfortingly catlike about the man's fur.

"Nothing, really. Except he seems to be shedding into the appetizers. Wasting cheese so finely aged would be an absolute crime. So perhaps you could give him a proper brushing before letting him near the buffet again?" Sebastian brandished a dark hair clamped between his fingers.

Hairbag scowled, snatched the hair away, and peered at it.

"That's not mine," he said. "Wrong color, wrong texture - " Hairbag held the strand under his nose and breathed deeply, "-wrong scent."

"There are at least three other furry mutants at this party, not to mention all of us with hair on our heads, Shaw. How about you piss off and find another culprit?" Pyro smirked.

"Actually, you know what it smells the most like? Aside from sharp cheddar, that is?" Hairbag put in. He thrust the hair, dark and slightly curly, back at Shaw. "It smells like moneybags over here."

"That is preposterous, I - " Sebastian started, then stopped. He looked down at his own chest, with a wedge-shaped thatch of hair exposed down to his navel from the deep v-neck he wore. He took the strand back, and examined it closely again. Then he sighed.

"Never mind, gentlemen, my mistake," Sebastian said, tossing it carelessly aside, and motioning for the caterers to bring out more cheese.

I just found this out today, and as the only Nasty Boys fan I know, you needed to know this: Hairbag might be married to Slab's sister. So, Slab's sister, Thumbelina, is with the Mutant Liberation Front. Her name is Kristina but her last name was never revealed on-panel. Everyone assumed she'd have her brother's last name. But then in the Official Handbook to the Marvel Universe A-Z Hardcover #8, her last name is listed as Suggs. While this could in all likelihood be an error, the fact it's the surname of her brother's teammate has made some fan wiki sites like UncannyXmen and Marvunapp speculate that they're married, and honestly I really love that idea, both because I think supervillain relationships are neat, there are so few married characters in general, it makes me imagine a cute story behind the scenes, and also I want good things for Thumbelina.

Honeslty I don't think I would call being married to Hairbag a "good thing" for her necessarily lol

Marvunapp lists Hairbag's first name as "Shaun" for some reason, where everywhere I've looked lists him as "Michael". Probably another old marvel handbook inconsistency? Idk if I see that as canon or what

Also imagine calling your kids Kris and Kristina. (I had Slab down as a "christopher" before but that doesn't seem to be anywhere idk where i got that from. He's probably a Kristoff or Kristian, right?) It'd be so confusing. Plus they're always growing and shrinking all over the place. An actual nightmare.

I will say that trawling through some of the pirated handbooks trying and failing to find this reference did give me this unrelated thing:

Specifically, the delightful tidbit that Mystique found out about Pyro's powers after she met him, implying that their first meeting (under circimstances yet to be revealed) was entirely romance-novel orientated.
