tone is what a phrase or statement means or comes across as despite what it's actually saying. examples of tone could be serious, joking, lighthearted, etc.
what are tone tags?
tone tags / tone indicators are things you can include with text to indicate what the tone of it is.
why are they used?
some people have difficulty picking up on tone. communicating through text only makes this harder due to lack of audio and physical clues (voice inflection, body language, facial expressions, etc.) tagging what tone you are using can be very helpful for others understanding of what you're saying, clarification, avoiding miscommunications, etc.
when/where should they be used?
they can be used any time or place you may be communicating through text.
do not mock the use of tone tags. you may not need them but some people do. not everyone can tell when something is a joke, etc. just be nice about it.

You know, I've never really liked that the player character is the usually the only one in the entire country to even consider naming their Pokemon. Let's fix that!
Gordon- Named after Gordon Ramsay, of course! Arven seems like he'd watch a lot of cooking shows, after all.
Mignonette- A popular French sauce served with shellfish. Arven's got a bit of a dark sense of humor like that.
Red Hot- Obviously, peppers are pretty hot! It's also two words to reference the two heads- I like to imagine their individual names are literally "Red" and "Hot." Plus, it's a cheeky musical reference, which I love making. :P
Shiitake- Not much to say here.
Saltine- Yeah same.
Buddy- He calls Mabosstiff "Buddy" a ton in the story, and it's exactly what a little kid would name his first pet. If I could choose a SINGLE Pokemon to officially name in-game, it would be this one. It would hold so much meaning, come on James Freak!!!
Scorpio- Distant, cold and aloof. As a bonus, "Scorpio" references Umbreon's long-lost poison typing that no one online ever shuts up about.
Aquarius- Easy going, strong and a bit eccentric. You need to have a strong character to not beat the shit out of Vaporeon copypasta spammers.
Gemini- Quick thinking, social and spontaneous. Normal cats are crazy enough at 4am, imagine a cat imbued with the power of lightning...
Leo- Fearless, protective and a natural leader. Perfect fit for a fierce and physical Pokemon like Flareon! Plus, it's kinda almost like a lion!
Virgo- Practical, intelligent and "down-to-earth." Nails the chill, graceful yet powerful form of Leafeon.
Cassiopeia- Said to represent the queen, sitting on her throne. Penny claims she doesn't play favorites, but, let's be real here- the living trans pride flag is her favorite. I like to imagine "Cassiopeia" was her first chosen name when she came out, but then reeled it back to something a bit easier to pronounce and spell. The struggle...
Alright this one doesn't get a list of explanations for obvious reasons. I was really struggling to figure out what kind of nicknames Nemona would give her Pokemon. Seriously, I was pondering flowers and foods, maybe battle items or strategies? But when I thought about Nemona as a person, as a battler, as a trainer and as a lover of Pokemon...
She's totally that person who gives her Pokemon silly nicknames that don't fit at all once they evolve.
Ortho, Goober, Duncie, Ruffles, Mimo and Quackers. It's perfect.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Danganronpa The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of analytical psychology most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Junko's pessimistic outlook, which is deftly woven into her characterization - her personal philosophy draws heavily from Søren Kierkegaard literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Danganronpa truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humor in Junko's existential line "In despairing over something, you really despaired over yourself" which itself is a cryptic reference to Søren Kierkegaard's The Sickness unto Death I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Kazutaka Kodaka's genius unfolds itself on their gaming screens. What fools… how I pity them. :joy: And yes by the way, I DO have a Monokuma onesie. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own beforehand.

Hi yall. This is the index post for the BTS in Order posts. This is the post to bookmark if you want to refer to it later! (The first chunk is just copypasta from the April intro. Read More to get to the links)
I've looked for timelines of the bts before, but what I've found relies heavily on video clips, many of which I don't have access to. So I decided to make a text-focused timeline in English for the bts because I'm all up in my hyperfocus.
I mainly used this playlist on billibilli, though I also looked at a few other playlists (I didn't keep links, I suck). If I came across a video/reference w another date listed for the clip, I added the alternate date in parenthesis at the end. I chose to primarily follow this playlist bc it has a LOT of clips, has clips for every day, and doesn't have anything that immediately jumps out at me as wrong. I also cross-referenced with accio-victuuri's BJYX Timeline bc it's the most complete English timeline I've seen, and I respect the effort involved. (the note on the primary playlist has this as its explanation of its dating: 广告以官宣日期为整体依据,若跨年度拍摄,则以最新发布日期为依据整理。Which Google translates to "The advertisement is based on the official announcement date as a whole and, if shot across the year, on the latest release date." I can't parse that so *shrug*)
I've listed out the bts scenes by date. I try to describe the known scenes, though I don't list out in detail EVERYTHING that happens (if I say "Xuanwu cave, bondage conversation", I assume you all know everything else that happens around that moment)(Though sometimes I get hype and fangirlish in the descriptions). A lot of scenes were unknown to me, so I tried to describe the setting, costumes, and vaguely what's happening. Most of the scenes I did recognize had more to the clip than the ones I've seen translated.
As none of what I watched had translations, I can't provide much context with that, I'm afraid. I also do not think these are in order within a day. I don't have any way to tell, so the timeline within the day, itself, is probably wonky.
I only included bts for the most part, not stuff the boys were doing outside the production. Everything's color coded. Scenes with only gg are in red. Scenes with only dd are in green. Scenes with both are orange (yellow just isn't readable, sorry). (If there's text with no color, just assume it's the same as the last colored text)
I wrote this literally by going back and forth between billibilli and Google Keep, so the notes are a little off the cuff. Let me know if you have questions or if you don't understand something. Or if you can't identify a particular bts scene you're curious about.
People are also completely free to take this and flesh it out if they want by adding the non-bts stuff. Any mistakes are mine. People are free to correct it as well. Basically, consider this public property for other turtles. So take it, make it your own, create a comprehensive google sheet that details everything in pretty color-coded order with media links that are cross-referenced, filterable, and sortable or whatever (PLEASE SOMEBODY DO THIS).
No need to credit. If you feel you have to, just say a stoopid turtle did it.
