Jack and Mai's dynamic have 3 sides
#1. Teacher - Student: Jack teaches her the ways of the samurai. She learns how to attack, to defend herself, and to "jump good"
#2. Father - Daughter: He takes care of her as if she was a child of his own. He always gives food, shelter and comfort to the little creature
#3. Besties: Mai is a 8 year old whose life was devoid of any (positive) social interactions and Jack is a 25 year old who spent his whole childhood and teenage years on training to be a warrior. When they're together they just share 1 braincell that goes play
Mai: can we play-
Jack: yes
*proceed to play*
Extra: There have been instances where #2 is inverted. Something happens to Jack and Mai's the one who becomes all motherly and takes care of him 😭❤️

I love the idea of Buttercup being a party girl. I'd imagine in her teens she'd fake her age to try and buy beer. Though she'd probably need some help since almost everyone in Townsville most likely knows how old she is
100%, she would absolutely be the rebellious one trying to do all of the Forbidden Adult Things. Bubbles would also totally be the one going along with her wild escapades (after being peer pressured of course, ‘cause she’s totally hardcore enough to party!) and Blossom would constantly be trying to stop her (EDIT: I take that back, she’d probably do that the first few times, but eventually get tired of it and from that point forward let Buttercup dig her own grave lol), then lecturing/making fun of her when the Professor would eventually catch and ground her for all of it (which I assume would totally be often because, yeah, everyone in town knows her, so it would be hundreds of times harder for her to get away with things).

okay, so, hoffrigg, right? but like Super slowburn.
they meet in the academy, and mark is Immediately down-bad, but rigg still thinks he's straight, so when they Do inevitably hook-up, rigg has the whole 'holy shit am I gay??' crisis (bc it's the early 90's) and hoffman (who is Also likely deep in the closet) is like 'nah man, it's not gay if we don't kiss' but they end up consistently fooling around for Years, up until rigg meets his wife. hoffman would pretend to be happy for him, but still tries to initiate shit between them -even though he Knows rigg is in a relationship and was probably a groomsman at his wedding- and rigg finds it harder and harder to say no (especially after hoffman starts getting Very touchy-feely at work, wearing increasingly tight clothes to try and catch rigg's eye, generally tempting him) until he Finally snaps and either tells hoffman off Or fucks him nasty (or both??) but Now there's Drama™️ bc Rigg is Married but just had sex with his best friend, who is also a man; cue gay-panic drama for rigg and terrible slutty homewrecking for hoffman, who ends up making a whole damn jigsaw game so he can get his man back 🖤 (yes this is a setup for an apprentice Rigg au)

it’s WILD how well the trio works in omitb…. Like. they dont rlly fall into typical archetypes (notably none of them are particularly science-y or specifically academic, none of them are athletic, etc etc). there is the sense of like, “very outgoing one vs awkward one vs reserved one” but idk it’s just like. I dont think they fall neatly into formulaic interactions, 3 is kind of a strange number for a group like this, “two old men and one young adult woman” sounds weird on its own,,,,, but it works SO,, WELL. i feel like kudos to the writers for figuring out a NEW way to make a group dynamic work so fucking well. And of course to the actors who make it Work
