is this a classic in the making?? Too early too tell but I really miss obsessing over kdramas, so maybe this brings back into it?

finally caught up with Queen of Tears and I must confess I don't know what to make of Kim SooHyun's character yet. I get that the guy is only human, but the fact that his first thought at finding out his wife might die from a rare decease is happiness, it's cold. And wrong.

I mean I guess that's kinda the point, right? This guy thinking he's happy at this terrible news, is clearly an indication that the situation he's been living in since he married has messed up his head, but... I dislike him a lot for it anyway hahaha

And I know that it takes two to tango, and the way their marriage has come to this is definitely something that holds both people responsible. I see that the toxicity, manipulation and constant scrutiny from the Hong family (mixed up with the fact that HyunWoo's family is quite dependant economically on him and his marriage) could drive a guy insane, particularly a guy who seemed so in love with his wife at the start ready to take on everything and everyone, in the name of love.

But of course, now we have the added layer of the miscarriage/baby loss and it definitely complicates a loooot of things while also explaining them in a way. I could say HaeIn just shut off completely and decided to use Elsa's method of conceal don't feel, while the opposite happened to HyunWoo and the guy just couldn't help but feel everything. All the pain, the hurt, shame and stuff caused by the overbearing family in law and even his wife. I get it. But still, you once loved this woman, how can you feel happy at the thought of her death? Sociopath dare I say.

If it wasn't clear enough, at this moment, I'm on HaeIn's side, meaning that I feel more for her and her situation than I do for Hyunwoo, because I can relate a bit to her way of shutting everything out and where she's coming from. It's clear as day that she has experienced a lot of trauma from her early years (the loss of her brother, her mother blaming her for it) and now facing the terrible news that she might die on top of having scary episodes in which she doesn't remember shit. And she doesn't know how to properly deal with any of it. I'm sure that, when she first married, she was happily in love and in the bliss of it all, she forgot all of this unresolved trauma, but now that so much more has piled in, her only way of dealing is becoming ice. And I find that a lot more tragic than Hyunwoo's situation, so don't argue with me lol you won't make me change my mind

but damn, I still do root for them and want them to find a way back to each other...

I know kdramas and I know this writer and eventually, HyunWoo is gonna wake up to the fact that underneath all that resentment and poor communication, he still loves her. A LOT. I roll my eyes at the fact that another man had to come into the picture for him to start feeling dormant emotions and finding his wife attractive and beautiful, but I guess I'll take what I can. I know he will suffer terribly in upcoming eps, cause you don't just cast KimSooHyun to make him happy and silly. NO. You cast him to make him suffer and make him cry and cry and cry. (I still tear up at his breakdown scene from The Moon that Embraces the Sun).

At the end, if I'm to be guided by old dramas from this writer, my guess is that HaeIn will recover and live in the end. I'd be very surprised if she doesn't but tbh I'm preparing for that possibility. What I do know is that my girl is gonna suffer, and for that, I'm not that well prepared, nor do I look forward to it as with HyunWoo's pain and misery.

brief backstory - you move into the loft after jess offers you her old room as she's moving in with cece, you’ve known jess for a while as she comes into the coffee shop you work at everyday and has done for the past like three years. you take up the offer and that’s where the best part of your life starts.

let me emphasise that these boys love you so much and as much as they like jess, they like you a tiny bit more but will never say it.

these boys will defend and protect you till the day you die and they would do the same beyond death too - anyone bad mouths you and these boys are like who said it whos ass are we fighting (although none of them would actually beat anybody up, we all know what they’re like) 

nick always asks if you’ve eaten or taken your meds and when you say no this man glares at you until you move from your spot and go do so whilst you stare at him with a little scared

had a long day and just wanna lie down face first on the sofa? you can literally lay on top of these men and they're not bothered in the slightest 

if your head is on either winston or schmidt’s lap (and your hair is long enough) these boys will braid your hair subconsciously and sometimes schmidt does a really good job (not surprised tho)

and then one of the rare times winston is actually making out with someone, you’re normally sitting at a table like : ( 

listen we all make mistakes right well, just if you’re heartbroken don't be sitting alone with schmidt because somehow you will kiss him and sleep with him and yeah. that happens one night.

and you wake up the next morning and schmidt is actually kinda cute cuddled up next to you and it does feel nice to be cuddled so you just kinda go back to sleep for a bit.

and bless these boys my god, especially nick as he knows what it’s like. they’ll each come sit with you and talk about anything to distract you or just sit with you to keep you company. 

nick finds you sitting on the floor, back against your bed, head in your arms with your knees pulled up, sniffling away and he doesn’t say anything but sits next to you and wraps an arm around your shoulders. he pulls you close and just kinda crumble in his chest and this man does not judge you one tiny bit. he knows what it's like. so he doesn’t say anything but rubs your shoulders and gives you head kisses. you stay like that for a good hour.

later that night you finally emerge from your room and they’re all sitting on the sofa. it’s obvious you’ve been upset but no one says anything. you dont say anything as you make your way over and sit between winston and schmidt, and winston puts his arm around your shoulders, not in like an obvious comfort way but more in a platonic way?? (idk hopefully you understand)

for your birthday nick is broke and gives you a badly handmade card but dear god you get very emotional about it and he’s like, are you crying?? why?? what did i do i'm so sorry omg?? 

need someone to come to the doctors or the dentist with you and hold your hand? nick will. but don't squeeze his hand that hard cause he will scream. 

these guys support whatever you do. wanna game all night long? they dont care if you’re screaming at a 12 year old for killing you. play any instruments or sing? give them a concert (if you’re comfy). love art? they’ll commission you art (if you give them a friends and family discount). they’re very supportive, okay <3

i am a calypso defender and a caleo fan till the day i die i just cannot fathom hating her for such shallow reasons??

“she cursed annabeth” ok even if this was intentional (which. lol it wasn’t) so fucking what?? do you think calypso could plan on annie encountering the monsters you only see in TARTARUS??? where NO DEMIGOD has ever been?? or survived??

“she’s abusive/mean to leo” shes been isolated for thousands of years, forced to experience heartbreak after heartbreak only to return to her loneliness, god forbid this trauma doesn’t manifest in a way that makes her the nicest person in the world?? she finally has freedom, she’s able to explore the world and make friends she knows wont leave her and so god forbid she doesn’t prioritize leo in every situation? it’s unhealthy, sure, but since when has any trauma victim (or victims, since leo is also horrifically traumatized) been able to function normally after they escape their situation?! she’s on her guard, everyone she’s ever loved has left her and i believe this means she pushes people away. she needs patience, and leo is willing to give her that. he came back for her, he died for her, he is the first person to show such devotion towards her and i think they deserve each other even if they both mutually need to heal. plus, rick has always been a fan of the bickering couple trope, and even if his writing has flaws it is so clear he was not writing her to be abusive, he was writing them both to be a bickering couple using the same formula he did with percabeth and solangelo

I see so many people defending the lazy writing, and defending Naksu's arc by saying that she left being an assassin so she doesn't need to use her sword.

So I'm going to explain.

We're not sad that Naksu didn't get to use her sword (okay maybe a little sad). What we're sad about is we didn't see her using powers at all.

In season 1 Naksu was trapped in a powerless body as Mudeok. But she needed no saviour. She was no damsel in distress. She was fearless, shrewd and manipulative. She was cruel teacher who went so far as to manipulate the crown prince and all of Jeongjingak to make Jang Uk level up.

Many people are saying that she's like that because of the amnesia, so she's still bright and innocent. Jang Uk was bright and innocent in the first season, that doesn't mean he wasn't badass. I was really happy that they were giving us the grumpy- sunshine again, but in the other way. But people need to know that, for a girl to be a bright ray of sunshine, she doesn't need to be a damsel in distress.

And till 4 episodes it was really good. She had approached Jang Uk in order to get out of confinement. Saying that she was pregnant in front of the whole unanimous assembly was such a Naksu move. She dealt through inexplicable pain, because being free and with the man she loved was worth the pain. That was Naksu. Then it all went downhill.

Season 1 ep 19 ended with both of them losing their powers. But we were all so happy because they were happy and together and it tied the story up.

So Naksu now has great powers of a priestess, but she uses them only once to kill Jin Mu. And he's not even really dead. And Jang Uk kills Jin Mu in the end. Do you think that's fair. I wish Jang Uk kept Jin Mu alive after burning everything and Yeong sucked the life out of him with her new powers. Or better, Uk and Yeong burned down the whole thing together. That is what we're talking about. And people complaining that she doesn't want any fighting or violence anymore. Why is she off monster hunting with her husband then?

Let's talk about all the other problems.

In 30 episodes Dang gu got all but 2 fighting scenes.

They completely forgot that Jin Cho Yeon was also a priestess.

The crown prince had a lot of role to play, but they completely forgot that he also had magical powers.

NAKSU USING HER PRIESTESS POWERS!!

The only person who had any sort of proper fighting scenes was Jang Uk, and those were not enough. I love Jang Uk and Lee Jae Wook very much. He was the king's star. Everyone forgot that. He deserved more and better fighting scenes.

I'm not angry with Jang Uk's 8 episode long healing arc. Naksu's healing arc in season 1 was 18 episodes. I'm angry with them showing only push and pull romance and nothing else. 8 episode of only drama and romance in 10 episode fantasy show.

And then when Naksu remembers her memories. I knew she was going to pull back, and Jang Uk was going to chase, but that lasted all 2 min. They were together, then she remembered, she pulled back, he chased, then he recognised her. This all happened in just one episode. Something that could have and should have taken 3. They show an all powerful priestess and then give her 5 min screen time. Then they got married, were lovey-dovey, then somebody died, then they didn't die, then Jin Seolran came, fighting and burning, and guess what, again one episode. We were all waiting for this big epic battle which was well...

I feel like if they went the traditional route to make a 16 episode second season that would have done justice to the characters and the story.

See I'm happy that we had a happy ending. Very very very happy. But Alchemy of Souls was supposed to be an epic fantasy. And they spent a total of 10 min on the epic and fantasy part.

And to all who are defending the story. Do you think, if it was actually a satisfactory ending, you would need to defend it at all?

Shinichi won't be able to live without Ran

So as a crazy fan of DC we come across waaayyy too little Shinran content especially after Gosho Aaoyama has slowed down the release and lots of other secondary characters getting the highlight. The progress is just beyond slow and frustrating and we get only some random bread crumbs here and there simply because of op and endings and that too is getting repetitive and over used as a lot of many other DC fans have ranted over.

But it sometimes does have a few moments which in retrospect have a much bigger impact if you think about it in the long run of the series and Conan admitting and doing things which he does without any hesitations for Ran.

Movie 1 - The time bombed sky-scraper - Shinichi is literally ready to die with Ran without any other thoughts. He is legit okay with a suicide rather than living on without her. And no it's not because of guilt that he put Ran in danger, but because he chooses her over everything else. Quote - "I will stay right here till you cut it Ran. If we die we die together."

Movie 13 - The Raven chasers - When he talks to Kouske- san (the guy who loses his girlfriend to fire and plans to commit suicide), Conan says he understand how he (Kouske) feels. He understands the loss of will to live without the girl he loves. Now in all honesty it is a conversation between a 7 year old and and man in his late twenties. Can you imagine the intensity of Conan's expression when he says that he understands the loss of a lover to an adult man? And manages to come through to him. Kouske does not mock him or belittle him as to what nonsense a 7 year old is saying but rather connects with him. Because a grieving heart recognizes another. Because Shinichi Kudo loves Ran Mouri, enough to die rather than live without her.

Movie 17 - Private - eye in the distant sea - When Ran falls in the sea and the search party is unable to find her even with all the equipment. They say the maybe the radio-watch has already sank under the sea. Ahem* Ran has drowned* Ahem. Conan is shocked to his core to the point he even questions himself in being a detective. "How can I be a good detective if I cant even find Ran?" Now Sherlock Holmes is someone Shinichi worships like god, his inspiration, his dream to be a detective everything comes from this fictional character, but the loss of this woman shakes him so badly that in an instant he loses complete faith in himself. Loss of oneself is is as good as living like a corpse. Not too mention the immensely grateful and the relived smile as he thanks Kogoro.

Shinichi is completely transparent when it comes to his feelings for Ran.

The detective boys tease him in his interest towards Ran. Like even freaking kids are picking up on his infatuation towards Ran.

Sonoko has already claimed that Conan is interested in Ran multiple times, which Ran passes off as a joke. But in the desperate revival arch Ran seems to be clearly treating Conan as Shinichi which Sonoko immediately picks up.

Kogorou too has multiple times seen Conan blushing and embarrassed when the topic of Ran having a lover comes around. Like come on even Kogorou!!!

During the mountain villa murder case (the introduction of Sonoko) when Oota- san attempted to flirt with Ran. Well I dont even need to elaborate do I? Conan is beyond elated when Ran specifically defends him from being called a brat and thanks him protecting her. His smug look towards Oota is priceless. It is legit a 7 year old elementary school kid challenging a man in university.

Eisuke was literally told to back off by Conan himself. In his jealousy he didn't even care as he revealed his identity to him. He reveals himself only when it's safe till he knows the real identity of Kir and Eisuke but even before that Conan's jealousy is as plain as day. He doesn't even try to hide it in any of the cases. Not to mention the sugary sweet smiles he would pass to Ran when she would pay attention to him

Also the time when Sera was introduced and Conan still didn't know if Sera was actually a 'she'. He literally calls as nonchalantly as possible to ask about and to top it all off it was actually the DB who noticed Conan being agitated at the thought of "Ran-neechan was walking with some boy they didnt know."

Movie 22 - Zero's enforcer - Where do I even begin with this one? The entire plot of the movie literally happens cause Amuro traps Mouri which puts Ran in distress which in turn makes Conan desperate enough to solve the entire situation, just so Ran can be at ease again. Not to mention Amuro himself confessing that if his Ran-neechan gets involved then Conan would of course meddle in.

Movie 24 - The scarlet bullet - Now Sera and Mary are kind of wary of Conan, but Conan has mostly understood the situation. So when he openly calls out to Ran in front of Sera, especially in a way as man would call out to his beloved and he doesn't even flinch away or pulls her away from Sera's gaze. almost as if staking his right over Ran, like, Yes, I have the full right to call her intimately like that. Not to mention he cant see her hurt at aaallllll. The golden lines "You are mine to protect." Not in a male chauvinist way but as someone who feels honored to protect her because Ran as a character pretty much does not depend on anyone. She can hold off on her own.

yet all this makes me worry that hoyoverse is going to fuck her up because... it's still possible. hoyoverse isn't the nicest to the genshin girls sometimes and their writing lacks (look at nilou. this girl has genuinely so much about her yet her writing lacks so much and people are so quick to call her boring. same for kokomi and how they failed to show her tactician skills) and i just worry about it. still i have hopes for some good twist and story!!

and gods her teaser got me so confused in a good way. i actually had hard time telling if shes talking to us, directly to players or no... probably my favorite character teaser like ever!! but it was also really sad, especially when she hugged the mecha dog... i want to give her a hug now. many hugs pls. shes making me so sad 😭😭😭 i hope everything will end well for furina and her people, and if it doesnt i will go and yell at hoyoverse, preparing my bags tickets and plane as i speak!!

Not Gaara related but I remember you making a Sakura anti-hate post on your old blog and I was all for it

Honestly Anon, I am pretty impartial to all the main characters in Naruto, leaning more towards feeling favourable toward them (except for Sasuke who has earned my contempt again and again), but I will be damned if I won't bust into the Sakura fandom, guns-a-blazin', and go to war to defend their favourite character.

Really, I just have no time to post character hate of any kind, as I'm much more inclined to talk about the characters I do like (thus my various blogs dedicated to Gaara) because it just feels better to me as a fan??? Plus it's much more fun to conjure up some silly speculation about your faves.

For example, did you know Gaara's favourite food is actually a pun in Japanese? What is the likelihood that Gaara tried to make a joke when asked what his favourite food was, but because he's so deadpan, the other person just didn't realize?

Makes you wonder right?

I joke, but it is much more fun to talk about stuff like that than to constantly beat down an unliked character.

Plus I just believe that if I were to criticize a character, it would be none other than Gaara himself, as at least it would be a fair analysis. And believe me, anon, I would absolutely dunk on Gaara so mercilessly and so thoroughly that it would be akin to Yashamaru's betrayal. Like I am all for reppin' Gaara till the day I die, but I'm here to love him for BOTH his flaws and his virtues.

Now specifically with the Sakura hate...I think what disgusts me the absolute most about it is that I feel it's so firmly rooted in misogany.

I think this way because people do not extend the same courtesy to her as they do with literally every single other character. They complain that all she does is pine after Sasuke...but Obito literally started a war over a girl who wasn't his girlfriend and didn't want to be. Also Naruto spent the entire series chasing Sasuke, and we can't forget about Gaara dedication for Naruto! Or even Hinata for Naruto, or Ino and Sasuke/Sai.

I just never understood why people took Sakura's love for Sasuke as this horrendous thing, as if acting on the behalf of your love for someone is not a noble goal, but something that should be admonished.

Hinata, you could argue, is the exact same as Sakura except she was quieter and much more subserviently to Naruto, never rippling the water. You never saw Hinata growing out of her love for Naruto, which is the same criticism people use for Sakura as to why she never evolved passed her "crush." The only difference is that Hinata rooted for the underdog (Naruto). Two, she had natural powers that already made her OP in comparison to the other genin, while Sakura had to rely on her natural intelligence and hard work once she matured and found her path in life. Third, after the time skip, Hinata became more pleasing to look at according to the male gaze.

(BTW I don't mean to dogpile Hinata. I am waving my truce flag here. It's just a comparison between her and Sakura, not a criticism.)

Back to Sakura: Her fangirling was annoying in the beginning. I never identified with her because...Sasuke -shudder-, but y'know why i looked passed it?

Cause she was a 12 year old girl in the beginning of the series.

I was once a 12 year old girl. And I can confirm, I was pretty much like that (it may have been for Kyo from Fruits Basket but the point stands).

Plus, as a 12 year old girl, she was more mature than Sasuke and Naruto in the beginning because she was wise and had risk assessment. Most of the fights where people claimed she was useless, she was actually just respectfully listening to what her sensei told her to do, as in...Not get in the way and be a liability (Land of Waves). Or she was one-shot because...um...Well, she jumped in front of Gaara who was half transformed into Shukaku. Oh, and prior to that, she cut her hair during a fight! Would you be able to cut your hair on a whim? Just like that? Just let a piece of what you loved most about yourself go because you needed to in order to win? Could you??? I definitely couldn't.

This leads into another thing that people still complain about, and that's that she's useless, which just goes to show that women and female characters have to work so much harder to earn the same respect as their male peers. The characters somehow will only ever default to the way they were first introduced, and in Sakura's case, they feel she is useless, weak and boy-crazy over Sasuke, even though she did the most growth out of her whole squad.

It's not Sakura's fault that she wasn't born with the strongest tailed beast or magic eyes that could rip apart worlds and also be one of the children of prophecy. It's not her fault that she had to learn a variety of skills to get on the same level as the men in her life, and that she had to do much more than only learned two Jutsus to carry her through the whole series (looking at you, Naruto).

People only seem to accept the women from the start in Naruto if they showed up looking hot, overpowered or naturally talented right out the gate. It's like there's almost no room for women to develop and grow in the series, which is so sad.

Now, maybe the Sakura hate is actually just a loud minority. Afterall, she did get A LOT of votes on the character poll, so maybe the misogyny isn't as rampant as I fear. Plus, I have noticed there's a significant decrease in the amount of hate I see for Sakura, so maybe the community has grown up and their opinions have changed as they matured, which is good.

I just don't see what else the hatred for Sakura could possibly be...unless we talk about her Anime personality. The Anime Sakura is actually way worse than her canon self, which could make a person who never read the source material think she is a bad character.

Also, if you just don't like her cause she doesn't float your boat, I think that's fine. I hate Sasuke nearly with a passion...I can't pin point why, he just isn't my thing and I wouldn't even be able to elaborate on it (though I do like him better as an adult).

I just personally feel that at this point in the fandom we are passed the low hanging fruit of Sakura hate such as "she's weak" "she's useless" "she is too interested in Sasuke".

Actually, I feel that I personally have reached a point in this fandom where I don't want any low hanging fruits of character hate. I guess I just don't have time to hate on characters at all, unless we are talking about flaws for analysis.

I come and engaged with this series to have fun and escape the hardship of life for awhile. Smashing characters in a series I love is just not worth it to me.

So yeah, I will absolutely support Sakura fans.

And um...I would absolutely support Sasuke fans, too (begrudgingly). Just like I would fans of anyone else's fave.

Gundam: The Witch from Mercury Episode 4 Review

- The beginning of the episode is probably the funniest moment in the series so far. Suletta didn’t just say no, she flew off in Aerial. And poor Guel got humiliated on live tv. Dude probably can’t go to the Duel Committee Headquarters for a while cause Secilia would rip him a new one.

- Speaking of Guel, he’s become full-blown tsundere. We love to see it. I like that he hasn’t fully broken away from his family or the horrible influence they have. He simply acted out of emotion last episode, but it will take him a while to truly break free. Hopefully he joins the group during the war arc we’re obviously gonna get

- Now to talk about the best girl in the episode, Chuchu. Girl got hands! Fucking cold cocked a racist, and that girl didn’t get up again. Her anger issues seem to be something the show might work on, such as not jumping to conclusions like she did with Suletta. But I do hope she punches more people

- The entire Earth House is great and I love them. Precious little babies. Can’t wait for them to die horribly :). Except for the goat, I know he’s the most powerful one there

- Now let’s get into the racism/classicism. The Earthians are the “workers” of the universe, while the Spacians get to live in luxury. Because you can’t mine Permet on Earth (or it’s already been used up), the Earth is basically seen as a remnant of the past. Uncultured and where the peasants live. We also get similar connotations with Mercury. Because of the difficulty in living there and the moon having Permet as well, Mercury is just a mining colony where people who can’t afford to leave live. I’m expecting there to be a big war between the Earthians and Spacians. Maybe the Anti-Spacians people will attack the academy and Suletta will have to choose between Earth House or doing what’s “right.”

- Miorine once again proves she isn’t a useless damsel. I’m glad my prediction of her being Suletta’s main tactician/supporter is true. She also finally let Suletta around her plants which is important. Her walls are being torn down one by one. But poor girl lives in trash. She takes good care of her garden (probably cause of her mother) but she doesn’t care about cleaning her room. Pretty sad.

- Elan once again sneaks in and tries to seduce Aerial Suletta to his side. The scene where she defends him from Miomio has gotten me a bit worried though. I have a feeling she’ll have to choose between the two of them in the future.

- I feel so bad for Suletta this episode. Poor girls been through so much in just a week when all she wanted was to go to school. Her breakdown in the suit was extremely realistic, especially since I’m her life till now, she’s never really experienced setback. She’s a once in a lifetime genius pilot who’s had the best mecha for years, so failing is new to her. Luckily she has Miorine’s support and now Earth House’s. But the coming wars gonna traumatize this poor tanuki.

- So far, Suletta’s harem has three tsundere, one kuudere, and one normal person. Can’t wait to see where Shaddiq falls.

For the girls at Eden Hall I don’t really have much to say. We didn’t see too much of the cheerleaders so I don’t have many thoughts about them other than I think they were just added in for that “popular highschool girls” cliche

and since the one main scene of theirs was being mean to Linda, I’m just gonna assume that’s how most of them are 🤷 entitled rich girls

As for Linda herself, I thought she was an absolute cutie. I actually liked her character a lot. If Charlie had to have any love interest at all, i’m glad it was her. She seemed to be a well grounded and an independent person, as well as able to handle her own. I also think it was sweet that she was at the meeting that decided whether the Ducks lost their scholarships or not. At that point she didn’t even know Charlie or anyone that well, so I think it was really nice of her to be there in support of them. Also, going to the Ducks hockey games i thought was nice of her. Even if she was hesitant at first, can you really blame her? All the jocks at Eden Hall so far had just been entitled, rich bullies 🤷

As for the adults,

I’m kinda iffy abt Ms. Mckay. (Mainly because in the original D2 script she completely crushed Adams dreams unwarranted. I mean srsly?? how do you do that so casually to a 12-13 year old?? 😅) But other than that i don’t have much thoughts abt her. She was there when the Ducks needed her, that’s all I pretty much have to say 🤷

Now, Casey Conway I absolutely adore. It’s so clear she loves Charlie so much and is willing to do a lot for him. I think she’s just such a kind soul and even though she has very little screentime you can clearly see that. She loves her son and is a hardworking, single mother whose kind and loving and comforting. What’s not to love?

Lastly, the girl Ducks.

I love them all so much. I will defend them all till the day I die. Julie, Connie, and Tammy will forever hold such a special place in my heart. I think they’re such good female representation and are such strong characters all while still holding such good femininity that it’s hard not too admire them. All of them were such ahead of their times. I srsly admire them all so much, as cheesy as that may sound. Theyre forever my girls I love them so much 😭

So yea i’m not too sure if i’m missing anybody, but I think that’s it. Hope this answered your question anon 🫶

Gonna talk about my main guild too... I gotta...

Yes, it's going to be long, the effects this game has had on me... LISTEN...

Anyway... I'll try to not say anything I'll regret since... I am writing about these characters.

1. Alope

Did you know I am Alope's BIGGEST HATER?? Jk I love her sm, it's just that since she's a gladiator she's prone to missing a lot when I need HER

But she also comes in clutch the most. Nine smashes when she has TWO target goggles on + pop flares + she actually smashes 9 TIMES??? Amazing!! LET ME TELL YOU, THE TIMES SHE LANDS CONFUSION??? I never doubted you once girl!! (I doubted her the whole time.)

During a fight I used to have a ridiculously hard time on with each new guild, she landed confusion twice in a row and made the poor thing unable to move AT ALL. She is *chef's kiss*

I yell at her a lot bc during all the dragon fights, she is stunned over and over to the point where she can't hit much, but I realized that no other offense class would be able to take that many hits...

She used to be the highest leveled before post game, but slipped up in some unfortunate times (mostly right before the enemies would die) but she is her own unit and I love her for that.

2. Ignis

I picked his portrait bc my old guilds were primarily femme little kids. Let's spice it up! Old man!!

I usually tried to avoid hoplites and would sub a princess as one ( a MISTAKE). The game is just so much easier with him. Tho his subclass is a little weird, it made it easy for exploration.

He's a Hoplite. He never does anything wrong anything bad that happens is MY FAULT NOT HIS!! (Or its everyone else's)

I've almost maxed out his parry skills and hes been doing so well!

Whenever he got koed I felt bad, it's always last minute so he got robbed of EXP a lot. I also tried to replace him due to his subclass, but he came out to be the better hoplite in the end.

Only bad thing I can think about (besides his subclass which isnt really THAT bad) is how I maxed out anti fire and volt before anti ice which made the beginning of the post game awful since almost every postgame boss has an aoe ice skill.

3. Tank

The power crawl this man had... he was okay damage at first. I think now if he's set up correctly he can do several thousand damage a turn.

He ALWAYS COMES IN CLUTCH !! ESPECIALLY AGAINST THE DRAKE'S ICE WALL SKILL!!

He's never done ANYTHING WRONG. (Actually when he's confused he has a habit of killing Enid??? That's pretty wrong. But idk maybe Enid deserves it. Oh yeah... and his alcoholism... that's bad too SJSKSK)

Tank is notoriously one of the last ones standing when my guild gets f-ed over. Which put him over Hana and Alope for highest leveled. (He survived a few tough fights they didn't.) But they're close behind him!

I also picked his portrait in retaliation to my girls only phase. My first Arbalist, whom I never used, was named "Tanaku". I named Tank after her.

4. Enid

Fun fact, Enid was in older versions of Ragnarok but was a different gender and or character each time. So gender fluid!!

Enid does their job, unless they don't...

Enid has a thing that when they get bound or have an ailment they'll be stuck that was for 5 million years which has got to be the most annoying thing... (other than my fingers slipping and picking the wrong skills) but I just prioritize defending him more.

I have him equipped with the speed dagger bc Enid HAS to move first. The times I've forgotten that thing and got wiped is... oddly high.

She's also with Tank for the last one standing. (Best friends till the end) an example of this was the Anemone fight where the both of them had to frantically bring Hana back to deal damage. (I'm not writing that fight so it's not a spoiler.)

THEYRE SO GOOFY.

More recently, when Alope and Hana get koed, Enid, Tank, and Ignis have a party set up that can kill a super boss with just the three of them.

5. Hana

(Her stats are in the previous post, I ran out room so pretend they are here!!)

The OG. She remains the offense ever, even with Tank. Enemies remember her patterns just to stop HER. And when they slip up and focus on hindering another member she obliterates them. (Probably full of rage too.)

She's just a real champ and pulls through so often it's normal. Though... recently her Berserker vow puts her in danger.

She always has the last hit, especially against bosses. She recovers from ailments the fastest too... (Her, Ignis, and Tank.)

She also has two fighting styles, which is nice bc the other two fighters spam the same move over and over. And the Elemental scrolls too... she is just so fun to play as.

...

Anyway, hands down my fav guild to play as. EO3's enemies are just so quirky by reading my inputs I come back to it more than the other games.

I might buy EO2 or the original bc... I don't know the untolds felt weird and I didn't get as attached to my guilds as I did for EO3 and EO4.

But yeah. I kinda... don't know what to do with myself now. I cleared the game I hadn't in like NINE YEARS it feels funky.

I need a fix of smt else... or this will fester in my mind LMAO!!

A little venty ramble thing :P ..

(Tried to go a little in depth with this, but that's not something I'm super great at sooo, apologies if it sucks x"D

With Benson being a sad, lonely, stressed out park manager who was always bad at love, meeting and having a lunch date with Pam was the bright light that he'd always waited for, she COMPLETES him, she UNDERSTANDS him and knows what's it's like to work a lot and manage a team, because she goes through it too (like for instance, when she told him that her life is just work work work) She's the key thing to calm him down and soothe his mind when he's at his limit !!

All those times that he had failed at love due to girls losing interest and dumping him, he felt as though this was his first real connection with someone, as they had so much in common (a love for hot wings, being workaholics, and even having matching clipboards..🥰), and spending time with this special girl was the first time in so long that he felt genuinely happy and in love

And in Rigby's graduation special, he was so excited to finally be able to go out with her. He went searching and searching to every place he could think of, so desperate to find this young scientist that had stolen his heart, but to no luck. He was so devastated, so heartbroken when he thought he his one true love was gone forever, that he turned to hot wings (the Big 50 bucket even) to ease that pain.. And when he arrived at the house and said to himself "Time to rebuild the wall around my heart.." ,saying that he broke down that wall of loneliness that surrounded his heart and opened up his heart to her, something he rarely did with anyone, and by "rebuilding that wall", it's something he would never do the way he did with her

But his sadness ends as she surprises him at the house, and she warmly shows her affection towards him by giving him a super awesome clipboard that she spent all day to get, and asking him out 💖 That just shows how much she really loves him..

Pam softened the heart and soul of a once grumpy, angry manager, and by doing so, gave him the little push he needed to being a better person

Just thinking about these make my heart ache like uugghhhh I will defend these two till the day I die 💕💕😩💖

(Also wasn't planning on bringing this up, but just needed to get it out) I'm looking back at all the hate Pam received after Fries Night, and even though I feel that this was a completely pointless breakup episode(And I overall pretend it doesn't exist because of that), Pam breaking up with Benson possibly was the biggest mistake of her life. She didn't want to do it ! You saw how heartbreaking It was for her! I mean, for all we know she could've been forced(probably by Langer) to do it or else! That wasn't her fault, and she just. Didn't deserve any of that hate.. 😤 (but that was way back in 2016 so what am I to do about it ahahaha 😂😭)

ANYWAYS, THEY'RE HAPPY TOGETHER, THEY GOT THEIR HAPPY ENDING, AND THEY LOVE EACHOTHER VERY MUCH (AND ARE OBVIOUSLY CANON)

Okay! I’m back from seeing Multiverse of Madness, and I got some thoughts. I’m gonna put some spoilers under the cut, but it was pretty solid. It wasn’t exactly the movie I had hoped it would be though. And no, I don’t mean in an ‘I wanted more cameos’ way, but really just a movie called ‘Multiverse of Madness’ feels like it should’ve been...bigger than it was? Idk, I don’t mind a good character study, but using the multiverse to do it just fell a little flat to me.

But again, it was a pretty solid movie. I had fun, and it was definitely way different than any other MCU film, which is always refreshing. I sure want Sam Raimi to come back for a Doctor Strange 3, because I think what he brings to the character made him way more compelling than we’ve seen so far imo.

TLDR; Fell flat in some ways, and I had some personal grievances, but overall a good character study with some awesome (and fucking terrifying at times) action. Would see again, but maybe not till it hits Disney+. 7.5/10

Spoiler talk under the cut

Okay, so as someone who was a dummy and actually did spoil myself beforehand, I was actually still pretty surprised at how some things turned out. Note to self: Don’t let stan twitter tell you how things are gonna unfold before seeing how they actually unfold.

 I’m just gonna go on a bullet point rant from here on out so prepare for that.

So many people online led me to believe that they just turned Wanda evil out of nowhere with no explanation but like....they said several times she was corrupted by the Darkhold? Did ya’ll miss that? I’m not saying that it makes what she did okay cause...oof girl made some choices, but still. 

While yeah, Wanda does some pretty fucked up things in this movie, people acting like she’s this irredeemable monster...relax. If you can forgive Loki, you can easily forgive Wanda down the line. Shit, Hawkeye killed more people than Wanda did here, but I’m not gonna start a whole debate over it. Wanda was for sure the villain here, but the way some people are treating her compared to others that have done objectively worse?...Yeah, don’t sit right with me, but anyway.

Side note, defending Wanda from these antis is gonna be waaay more annoying to deal with now.

There’s a lot of talk of how this movie ‘throws away Wanda’s development from WandaVision’ by making her the villain, which eh...I see their point, but WandaVision did end with her reading the Darkhold, so it’s not surprising this is where she ended up here. Still, it does seem like a rehash of her doing a bad thing and then fixing it in the end. Just way more extreme.

Nobody actually thinks she’s dead....right? Like the way people were talking about it, I thought I was gonna have to reach and be in denial about her being alive for my sanity, but nah. It’s not super obvious, but...it’s pretty obvious she survived. Big bright flashing red light out of nowhere for no reason? C’mon. Also the whole thing just sorta...happened. If that was Wanda, been in the MCU for 7 years and just finished headlining her own show, Maximoff’s death scene...it would’ve been a SCENE, trust.

The way the movie flip flopped between ‘Wanda’s a good person, she’s just corrupted’ and ‘She’s an evil witch that needs to die’ so much just gave me whiplash. I get why towards the end they were like ‘yeah, we gotta kick her ass’, but almost immediately Strange went from ‘You did the right thing, that was never in doubt’ to ‘SHE ENSLAVED A TOWN, GOTTA GET HER’ Like...which is it my guy? 

Okay, moving on from Wanda now, let’s talk about America. I love her. She’s my favorite new Phase 4 hero as of now, and I can’t wait to see more of her.

I like how they introduced her as someone not having any control over her powers, and while I get that people see that as nerfed, it makes sense. She’s a kid with powers adults can’t even handle, and she’s handling better than most adults would, so.

Also...the scene with her moms? That was enough to cause a ban in all these countries?...Really? I just...okay. Good luck over there.

Strange’s development in this movie was pretty good. I really don’t think Wanda stole the focus at all honestly, this was very clearly Strange’s movie. I liked him better here way more than his first movie.

The CAMEOSSS Specifically REED FUCKING RICHARDS YOOO. That was so surreal to me actually seeing John Krasinski play him. I trulyyyy hope he’s the main Reed, there’s no way he can’t be after this.

Black Bolt and Charles's death scenes are gonna haunt me man, they’re just...oof they’re brutal.

Last thing, I really wanted this to be a team up movie with Strange and Wanda, they’d be an awesome team. I’m sad we didn’t get that, but...maybe one day
